Some general tips for beginner women snowboarders include choosing a board that is lightweight and easy to maneuver, as well as one that is specifically designed for beginners. It is also important to find a comfortable binding that will not rub or chafe your feet.
Designed for beginning to progressing riders the new Gala offers a comfortable and forgiving all-mountain ride so you can focus more on learning the motions instead of falling on your face. Rossignol’s AmpTek Auto-Turn rocker profile supplies user-friendly fun in any snow conditions with effortless float and no-catch edge control for easy natural progression so you can get better faster.
It’s only my second season and I decided to retire my hand me down board and try out a new board. NO REGRETS. MY riding has progressed so much and this board definitely helped. Glides like butter, but the control is there.
This board is so gorgeous and girly. I love the colors and it’s so pretty paired with some pink or lavender bindings. I’m a beginner and it’s the perfect weight. Easy for me to do turns and I don’t catch my edge as much.
The CAPiTA Women’s Space Metal Fantasy Snowboard is a well-rounded, novice-ready board that has been designed to jib, jump, slash or float in pow. Get an 5x Transworld Good Wood award-winning, and still one of the best ever park boards, with the CAPiTA Women’s Space Metal Fantasy Snowboard!.
I ordered this board in September 2021. Since I saw it, I fell in love with it. Evo was the one to announce a preorder and since I wanted a smaller size I did not hesitate to place the order. Unfortunately the shipment was pushed back several times.
I did not want to cancel it because I know that to find a small size is almost insane. Finally, after months waiting, it arrived. I’m still disappointed how long it took to arrive but the board is beautiful, super responsive and excellent for park! I have received tons of compliments when people see it.
This board is amazing no matter what I want to ride! I can ride park on it, trees, powder, and everything in between. I can turn it really well when I ride the trees too, its soft flex makes me feel comfortable no matter where I am.
I love the twin shape so I can ride it switch and learn new tricks. I love this boooardd!!!.
Press press press!!! Purely sickkkkkkk. That flex, that pop! Love her and love the way she hits rails. My landings stomp heavy on her after grabs. Beast. Can’t wait for the rest of my season after taking her out :))).
Set the Stylus to snow and make your first mark on a blank slate the best intro to snowboarding out there. Hands down the easiest womens board in the line the 2023 Burton Stylus Womens Snowboard is perfect for aspiring riders looking to build a foundation before moving on to a more performance-oriented option.
Like setting a pen to a blank piece of paper the Stylus silences your fears teaching balance and board control from the first time you strap in. Easy Bevel combines a soft mellow flex with a convex base for a virtually catch-free riding experience while Flat Top and a true twin shape provide a stable platform thats effortlessly maneuverable no matter which way you point it.
The Channel mounting system gives you the easiest most adjustable setup with bindings from all major brands not just Burtons.
Researched the board directly on Burton. com to find the right one for my wife. One minor adjustment to the stance after a couple runs and she had a great day on the mountain. Easy control and fluid turns.
She’s just picking up the transition to toe side turns and she made more progress in one day on this board than in the entire season last year. Great looking board too. Easily mount and adjust the bindings in the single Channel mounting system.
Definitely held up to it’s description as far as an easy board to learn on and control while still allowing freedom for some fun and enjoyment on the slopes.
This board was even better in person. I love it! It’s super light. The design is gorgeous in person, Im in love with it. Cant wait to take it on its maiden ride this season! Would definitely recommend.
bought this for my wife after she caught me watching snowboarding videos. She loved watching the videos and kept commenting about how cool it looked. We will see how she feels after a day or two on the local hill.
Alternative all-mountain shredder. Ideal for creative freeriding and freestyle. The WomenÕs Mind Expander is an alternative freeride board built to slash every terrain feature in sight. Surf shaper Chris Christenson and Jeremy Jones designed the WomenÕs Mind Expander for the creative rider who draws lines blending freestyle, freeride and surf styles.
For playful float in pow the Mind Expander features a Christenson Surf Rocker profile, 3D Contour Base 3. 0 and a hybrid directional shape. The blunted nose, squared off tail and tight sidecut offer the nimble maneuverability of a directional board with the freestyle abilities of a directional twin.
New for 2020, the Mind Expander features an updated FSC Bamboo Surf Core for better edge response and turn power, Basalt Power Stringers for reduced board chatter and Rounded Recycled ABS Sidewalls for improved topsheet durability.
Storm wolf is a rocket ship! Its a carving rocket and likes to take big wide open turns. Did well in tight turns also, but really strives when you have open runs. I rode this board on soft groomers and it was faassstt and stable.
I am 5’9, 180Lbs and the size fit great. The storm wolf would be great for anyone who is looking for an awesome, ripping pow board, or for someone looking to get elbows to the groomer. I would ride this in most conditions, other than the park.
The storm wolf felt stiff and confident, so grab it for a fast ripping groomer, slush slashing, or pow days.
Bought this prior to leaving for a heli trip in BC and man was it worth it! I’ve been riding a regular Mind Expander for the past two seasons and it was the most fun board I’d ever been on. until I took this up to the high alpine/glacier terrain in Revelstoke.
We were doing big group helis (11 guests and a guide) and in the high alpine/glacier terrain I found myself waiting. and waiting. and waiting to drop lines because I’d catch the rest of the group (and the guide) so quickly with this thing! I literally felt like I was getting shot out of a cannon.
Floats really well in pow, snappy turns when you want them, slashy turns when you want those. I got exactly what I was hoping for out of this which was the perfect blend between the playfulness/fun you get with the mind expander and the ability/comfort to really charge big lines like I’ve gotten with my Ultracraft.
I’m only assuming it’ll be even more fun once it’s fully broken in and softens up just a little bit. If you like a stiffer/faster ride and only have one board for the quiver I’d go this route. Want something a little softer, you can’t go wrong with the regular mind expander.
Just to start off I’m not a pro by any means. I’m just an average guy who loves to snowboard and I really really like Jones snowboards. I’m very loyal to the brand. I own 4 others and have no issues with any of them.
This thing arrives and I’m super stoked and out #5. I open the box and then. 1) First thing I noticed was the tips weren’t aligned. They are off by 1/8 of an inch. I don’t know what their tolerances are but I’ve seen plenty of splitboards and they all have even tips.
But I say meh it’s ok I can deal even though I spent $980. 05 on this thing after taxes 2) then looking at the base of the board I noticed a gnarly black chunk on the outside edge and base. I can only assume it’s some sort of epoxy.
It’s grainy, hard and sticks out 1/16 of an inch. I’m thinking ewww gross that’s lame. But I don’t want my size to sell out so I swallow and keep looking. 3) about an inch away is what looks like a smudge of the same sruff about the size of a dime right on the bottom.
Then. 4) I noticed two more black blobs protruding from the base and edges between the split and near the center bottom. That’s when I said screw this board. I can’t believe that this board left the factory like this.
I and now I’m sitting here heart broken writing this bad review of my favorite bord brand. What’s the point of having an ultra-fast sintered 9900 base. If you have chunky lava rocks all over the edge and bottom?! Also this one must have been the last one to inspect at closing time because the quality inspection sticker is 4 inches from the tip and within 10 inches of the first black lava rock thing.
So sad and so disappointed. I’ve always been a free salesman for Jones Snowboards. Talking them up and showing them off to my buddies and people I meet on the mountain. I really hope I that I just drew a dud with this one.
Because I still love my Jones Snowboards and want to keep the feeling alive but unfortunately this thing is going back today.
The Dream Weaver is the women’s all-mountain board. Built for riders looking for a high performance directional freeride shape and a friendly flex. The Dream Weaver is stable, confidence inspiring, yet soft enough to be playful in any terrain.
The Directional rocker profile and Spoon 1. 0 base deliver epic float in the fluff while the camber underfoot and Traction Tech offer awesome edge grip when conditions firm up. The edges of the Spoon nose are beveled up for improved turn fluidity while the tail edges are beveled up for less catch.
Have ridden this board for 6 days total and I feel like this board knows what I need before I do, it’s very forgiving, yet fierce. Gains speed quickly, can keep up with the guys, carves beautifully, I can toe and heel carve through 5 diff runs with no stopping.
It’s beautiful. A board That’s friendly for a newer rider and can easily progress. A few times on this board and I can ride like I’ve been wanting to with other boards but just couldn’t get the right feel.
Even if I mess up, this board is like, “Whatchu doing? I gotchu. ” Totally owns up to the hype. I would recommend it to anyone!.
I’ve been riding a Burton 152 Feel Good since 2005 (was a snowboard instructor in Steamboat and now back in the Carolinas), and it was reeeally time for an equipment update. This beauty was everything I wanted & FAR exceeded my expectations of snowboards! (No joke, boards have come a long way.
) Took it out to Mammoth, CA w/ about 14 other riders & it rode fabulous down a powder bowl, was easy to ride switch, lightweight to pop off even the littlest bumps, and I felt ridiculously comfortable hauling tail through the trees and the basic corduroy groomers.
I’d hands down recommend this board to others. Love love love!.
As a California guy, had to stick with Jones. This board was bought for my wife, her 1st board and our 1st time boarding together. As a firefighter, its needed to get away! I have been snowboarding for a very long time and love it so much that my wife is heavy in it now.
This board is beautiful and she loves it, which makes me happy. Got it quick, no damage and no issues. Time to get me a new Jones board, when they come back in stock!!!! Thank you all, brought some happiness to my family.
The Roxy Dawn is an all mountain board with a friendly soft flex, twin geometry, and Magne-Tractioner for predictable control. The Easy Rise contour is flat between the feet with a mellow rocker to the nose and tail for catch free progression at any level.
Perfect for beginners, the Dawn is forgiving and playful, with the right technology for comfortable progression. Pair it with the Roxy Viva bindings for a comfy package! Twin geometry, Easy-Rise contour and softer flex for beginner friendly progression Magne-Tractioner for predictable edge control Built with solar power, zero CO2 emissions and FSC certified wood cores What are B-Grades?.
This board has great control; carving has never been easier! The board is fast and durable. The only con I personally have is that the visual appearance is boring.
This is my daughter’s first board, and she’s really loving it. She has mentioned it’s much more fun to ride than the rentals she’s be getting at the resorts.
Designed to replicate the Outerspace Living series in geometrics engineered for Women the 2023 Capita Paradise Womens Snowboard is stable supportive and poppyyet forgiving and easy to ride at the same time.
Featuring camber underfoot for controlled turns and a rockered nose and tail that floats in powder the Paradiserides above the choppy stuff that life on the mountain can throw at you. These highly sought-after decks feature an FSC Certified Multizone Core combined with super-strength 4 x 20mm Carbon Aramid Beams among other performance-enhancing construction characteristics.
With the twin-tip design lines of a freestyle board and the camber theory of a freeride board these boards offer confident control every rider will love.
I’ve tried other Capita snowboards in the past and fell in love with their performance and design. I decided to get my significant other a Paradise board to learn and grow into. Surprisingly, the board performed great even for a beginner.
We got a lot of compliments on the board graphics on the mountain. Would definitely recommend this board for beginner up to intermediate levels.
Got this for my partner and she loves it! Great all mountain board that rips everything. Rocker Camber hybrid profile keeps that rocker feel but more aggressive edge for better carves. Tons pop to launch gravity drops or park laps.
I got this a few weeks ago. Rode it once on crappy east coast ice and it did amazing. Now about to hit powder this week and I can not imagine what is about to happen. Great board. Great graphics.
Burton Hideaway Flat Top Snowboard 2023 The Burton Hideaway is a ladies entry level all-mountain snowboard that uses a flat top profile to help build confidence with a playful flex whilst keeping things stable underfoot.
A directionally shaped board with 5mm of taper allows for really easy turn initiation. A perfect snowboard to really get to grips with the mountain.
I’m annoyed with the other guy’s 1 star review on here which is the only reason I decided to review it myself. First off, I think the graphics on this years board is great, and I’ve only gotten compliments on it from friends and family.
And more importantly, this is an awesome board for cruising the mountain and getting into any terrain you want. I took this out to the Rockies for 3 days of boarding, and it kills it on fresh groomed runs, choppy stuff, tight tree runs, even some moguls.
Riding switch is surprisingly doable as well. My only complaint is the durability, it felt like I was getting scuffs on the edge left and right when I wasn’t being too hard on the board. That was probably just because it was closer to spring, and there were little rocks under the surface of the snow.
I submitted it to Burton expecting to have to pay for repairs, but they sent out a brand new board under warranty. For the price, well worth it.
First thing to note is that I do love touring and riding with this board. It is super fun in slush and powder and gets the job done. The downside and the things I hate about this board however are major.
I simply will have to buy a new pair of skins every year. This is because after mutilating a pair to fit the unique tail they hardly function for longer than a chill season in the backcountry. There is not a pair of skins that I’ve found the tail clip to work, the only option is to cut it off which definitely negative affects the longevity of the skins.
Overall it’s a fun board if you just want to do chill easy touring and lines, I’ve had a lot of fun with it. But I wouldn’t trust this with the sketchy skin situation to get you thru a long hard approach, nor the board to handle super aggressive riding.
This board a jib gem! However, the asymmetrical design of the board is lined up with Burtons edge hold tech which I believe they call Frostbite which extends the edge out ever to slight to help hold on those Icy and hard packed conditions.
For those who are a skeptical, this board can hold an edge! It’s also has good pop as well which is enhance by Burtons pure pop camber profile. The foam padded all helps absorb some of the vibration under your feet as well.
This is no doubt that this a park focused board but it and take out of the park for some side hits and carving sessions as well.
The best everyday board to boost your confidence with. The Burton Feelgood is an all-mountain board, designed in such a way that it is hard to disappoint. Manoeuvrability, a lot of grip and stability are the most important characteristics of this all-mountain board.
A perfect board for the advanced snowboarder who likes to speed both on- and off-piste. The Feelgood is also available as a Flying V; for when you want a more forgiving, playful board with better float.
The Cortado is a balanced all mountain board that hits the sweet spot between freestyle and freeride. Not coincidentally, the Cortado coffee drink is a 1 to 1 balanced ratio of espresso and milk. The C2 contour and Magne-Traction edges make precision turns with catch-free ease.
The gentle entry on the nose and tighter kick on the tail are for comfortable float and control on all terrain and variable snow conditions.
I did a fair amount of research before I bought this board. It lives up to its description, rides like a dream and cuts through the icy slopes like butter. Very happy with my purchase. Delivery from Peter Glenn was quick!.
This board rips and holds an edge!! I am 5′ 6″ 135lbs and got the 151. It’s the perfect size I can still throw it around no problem! I highly recommend any lib tech board!
The Ladies Choice celebrates 10 years of design and partnership with Jamie Anderson. Her balance between progression and playfulness is reflected in the progressive asym technology, perfectly tuned for freestyle flow.
Bringing Jamie’s eco-minded sensibility to our construction materials and process, the Ladies Choice is built with a clear nylon topsheet made from bio beans that shows through to the sustainably harvested FSC certified wood core.
Eco sublimated graphics by Sarah King make the 10 year anniversary of the Ladies Choice an all mountain freestyle work of art. Ride the Ladies Choice and channel some JA magic! Jamie Anderson’s fun freestyle choice Carves, flies and floats the whole mountain 10 Year anniversary of Jamie Anderson’s Ladies Choice design!.
The new stick is amazing!! I bought the gnu ladies choice 2018 board and absolutely trashed it in these colorado winters over the years. Although I was hoping for more colors this year on this board, the online pictures don’t do the board justice.
The snow flakes are more of a tie-dye rather than just light blue. Also, to finally have nice sharp edges again is a game changer. The 151. 5 has a black base which is nice because rail paint doesn’t show up on black.
Carves come around so easily on this board because of it’s ASYM shape. It’s pricey but SO worth it, not to mention, this will be the cheapest price you can find this years model because Moosejaw will give you money back on a full priced item.
I think you save $50 in total. But hey if pro rider Jaime can rip it, so can i!.
This board is absolutely amazing!!! I’m a pretty aggressive rider who likes to fly at high speeds and also quick, rapid carving and this thing rode like a beast. I took it out for a night riding sesh on some pretty icy runs and had ZERO issues holding edges.
It’s twice as fast as my old camber board and the rocker made me FLY with minimal effort. It felt so light and floaty and super easy to manipulate even at high speeds while still feeling very stable.
Nose and tail pressing is easy on this too, its got good flexibility but not toooo much to where you lose support. You can also ride switch easily on this board, it felt like it was doing most of the work instead of me! Switching from a camber to the rocker hybrid was extremely easy and no learning curve, so I highly recommend anyone using this board.
Hands down the best board I’ve ever ridden, I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing like a kid when I was on this thing! Can’t WAIT to ride it in some powder, I can already tell it’ll be epic :D.
This board is a super fun surfy feeling jib-stick. I love the C2x camber. feels more stable than C2 and really fun to carve! The med flex on this board makes it easy to butter and spin all around the mountain, while still holding an edge in steeper icy terrain.
It definitely does not perform well in steep, icy, choppy conditions, but that is not the nature of this board. If you want a a board you can carve, butter, jib, and spin all over the mountain, than this is the one for you! Love the graphics too!.
From unexplored peaks to your favorite parks, the women’s Burton Yeasayer Snowboard tames anything that stands in your way. The board’s Flat Top profile surfs through deep powder while keeping things stable underfoot, and a true twin design keeps you in control no matter which way you point it.
Available in two versions, choose the relaxed and floaty Flying V or catch-free control of Flat Top. A laundry list of features all work together to ensure that the ride is as friendly as it is fun, with an energetic core, and Scoop tip and tail, which turn up the edges for a catch-free feel whether you’re surfing through knee deep pow or sliding a box in the park.
So first, the board is absolutely beautiful. I got it together with the Bindungen. The first few meters I fell a lot cause the board was different to my old board. It took a few seconds to adapt but after that.
wow, the board and I were a team. The board did exactly what I wanted to do and I felt free and amazing. What a great feeling! I had so much fun with it! The board performed excellent!.
I am finishing up my first winter with this board (30+ days of riding) and I’ve taken it all over the mountains, side-country, and back country and it has handled great in all areas. The biggest disappointment though has been the boards inability to hold wax.
I didn’t know much about extruded bases before buying this board but now I do. The extruded base makes it very poor at holding wax and it seems like I have had to get it waxed after riding only two days otherwise my speed comes to almost a grinding halt.
I’m not sure the reasoning behind choosing this type of base minus the obvious cheaper construction. Besides this, it’s been a fun all-mountain board.
I was riding an Arbor Cadence for years and loved it. When I jumped on the Yeasayer it felt a little catchy in comparison to boards I rode in the past. But, after a few laps I got to know the board and started to actually appreciate the fact that it had more edge hold than what I was used to.
Having a solid board with good edge makes riding at high speeds not so scary. I felt I had more control at higher speeds and could stop quicker. The Yeasayer is still very playful and easy to throw around.
Snowboards > Sometimes the simplest things are the best, and the Yes. Basic Snowboard is no exception. Coming in with a versatile mid flex and classic CamRock profile, the Basic is a classic twin shape for riders of all stripes.
This board will satisfy everyone from newbies learning the ropes to veterans tearing it up on the slopes. Extruded This material is formed by extrusion and is softer than sintered bases. At the speeds many riders take, this material is actually quicker than sintered bases when waxed correctly.
It retains wax better because it’s more porous and is easy to fix with a P-Tex stick if it gets scratched. UnderBite UnderBite edges re-distribute a rider’s weight in such a way that it enhances turning ease and edge hold.
Creating divots inward at the binding area reduces and disrupts the surface area of the edge that has contact with the snow while the board is turning. This segmentation of the sidecut into 3 key zones focuses your body weight onto areas that initiate, hold and release turns.
2 x 4 Inserts Art by Guillaume Rousseaux Full Poplar Yes. ‘s baseline core for tip-to-tail woodcore snowboard construction. A core that strikes a predictable balance between durability and consistent flex and lightweight feel.
Bought as an beginner all mountain/groomer board for Canada east coast snowboarding. So far it’s been great. I was renting boards and struggling to turn. Was linking turns on my first run with the Basic 163W without catching an edge.
Seems like the rocker/camber profile lived up to expectations. Weather was -5C to -10C and factory wax was almost too good. Shipped 5000km with no damage and 2 days early during pandemic lockdown. 185cm, 95kg.
I am new to snowboarding and this is the perfect board. It’s great for beginners but also it can be a board that you can use as you grow. It was smooth and handled what turns I could do great, the edges didn’t catch.
I love the look of the board. The grey is absolutely gorgeous, it’s dark but has what looks like a hint of blue to make it really pretty.
I am a beginner/intermediate snowboarder and I was looking to buy my first board. I was recommended this board by a friend that is an experienced snowboarder, he owns one and said it was the easiest-to-ride board he ever had.
When I finally hit the slopes with it I was definitely not disappointed! It was super easy to ride and I was immediately able to get up to speed, explore and expand my skills with it. 100% recommended to beginners and intermediates like me!.
The 2022 Salomon Oh Yeah Womens Snowboard brings smooth agility and fun carving without having to sacrifice pop. Loaded with freestyle focused tech such as Rock out Camber for perfect flex while premium dampening helps soften bumps for anyone who wants to explore freestyle riding.
If youre looking to turn the entire mountain into your playground that makes you scream OH YEAH all day long hit the hills on the Oh Yeah Snowboard.
Bought this board to practice in Ontario after trying boarding out west back in December. Have been using it the last 2 months and just recently brought it out to Whistler to see how it does on a real mountain.
Absolutely love this board! It has been super easy to learn on and I feel like it gives me so much control.
I LOVE THIS BOARD! Supper fun for all types of snowboarding. I’ve taken it through bad icy conditions, enormous amounts of powder, and slush. It’s great for an intermediate rider like me, who just likes to have fun on the mountain.
This board rips! I previously had a 152 then moved to a 147 and now I purchased this board in 143. I love how smooth my turns connect and how fast I can rip down the mountain. I wish it was a little more flexible for freestyle riding but overall a great board!.
Women’s snowboard Arbor Ethos Arbor Ethos is the starting point and a well-executed women’s snowboard at the basic level for all beginner riders. Ethos will give you the courage to move forward quickly while enjoying every turn.
The snowboard is created with a System Rocker bend for easy energy transfer from side to side and Grip Tech technology, which holds and doesn’t let go even on an ice crust. The transparent topsheet makes the wooden core stand out beautifully.
The perfect board that will guide you through the first curve, until you move to steeper and more difficult terrain. Specifications System Rocker – a rocker bend that is more significant in the center of the board.
At the tip and tail, the rocker is reduced for maximum performance at higher speeds, arc cutting and landing. Rocker makes it easier to start the curve, better sailing in the powder and an overall smoother ride.
Grip Tech – sidecut adds contact points underfoot, ensuring a more ergonomic way to stick to the snow when needed. At the same time, it forms contact points on the tip and tail for easier and more natural arches.
First time rider? Experienced rider? Wanna ride park? Wanna ride powder? Wanna bomb down a hill going 50+ mph? Wanna butter? Wanna hit 30 foot jumps? This board does it all. Been riding on this board for 2 years now.
From steep slopes, powder, park, this board does it all. It’s definitely not a perfect board, but it can do it. The only other review for this board is so unhelpful. Hey bud, leave a review about the product, not the company.
This is an awesome broad for beginners! I searched everywhere, watched all the YouTube videos, and finally settled in this one. I used the burton ‘Find my board size’ chart (I am 180lbs, size 10. 5 boot).
It recommended going with a 159 or a 156w. So I went with the 156mw that this board comes in. I like the shorter length. It makes it easier to through around on the smaller and icier trails out east.
Had I been located somewhere with more powder I would have sized up to the 159. I’ve only been snowboarding 10 times, but this board has allowed me to progress a ton! Can’t say enough good things about it.
Brought this as my first new board; bought a few used misc boards in the past as I was learning…which I still am. I needed a wider board, which Arbor offers, as I wear a size 11/12. As I board in the PNW and mostly at a place with all sorts of snow conditions – this board seemed liked a good option and economical too?! So far I’ve used it on all sort of conditions: dry powder, wet new snow, and groomed/“spring” snow conditions.
The wider design floats through pow and the Backseat Camber brings the control to your back foot for fast, peppy turns and control in waist deep snow. Turning and getting on edge is easy thanks to the Quadratic Sidecut, so you won’t even notice the wide waist until you’re effortlessly flying through bottomless pow and snagging the perfect Insta hero shot.
Tapered Directional Tail width is slightly tapered (2-20mm). This loosens up turning initiation and improves floatation in deeper snow without sacrificing edge hold on hardpack. Flex Rating – 7 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff) 2 x 4 Insert Pattern Sintered Base Provides a moderate balance between the speed created by a hard surface and good wax retention.
Popster Popster’s shaped core profile thins out under foot and thickens outside your bindings before tapering again at tip and tail to maximize the natural snap and pop of wood. Feels like your skateboard kicktail finally connected with your snowboard.
Absolutely love this board! I have the board from 19/20 and it RIPS! By far my favorite snowboard I’ve owned to date. Fun, playful and snappy. This is an awesome all mountain board. Definitely a bit in the softer side so if you’re ripping groomers you’ll need to exhibit a but more edge control.
This guy sails in powder though, hardly need to use my powder board with this one in my quiver. If you live in a state with lots of snowfall and are looking for a one board quiver. this is a solid option.
I’ve been snowboarding for the last 32 years. I’ve had a number of different boards and this is easily one of the best! Very light, very nimble, and still manages to stay stable at speed. Great for carving and still has excellent float.
This board was great right off the bat. Ive been demoing boards all 2019-2020 season thus far and this one stuck out the most. Versatile and easy to ride on any terrain. Anything from groomers to pow this thing rips.
The deep stuff is where it really shines though, cutting through trees is made easy with the backseat camber and the set back stance. Bought it after 2 months of trying everything my local shop had to offer.
Keep the body guessing and the mind wondering. All-mountain exploration is even more wonderful on this well-balance directional twin. A smooth flexing aspen wood core, basalt stringers running the length of the board, and Royal rubber pads inserted into the sidewalls work together to create a luxuriously smooth ride in all conditions.
The Salomon Wonder Snowboard is incredibly stable gliding through high speed turns, and delightfully responsive on mellow excursions.
Bought this for my wife who’s picked up snowboarding this season. The board is excellent and could very well be her forever board. It has helped her progress fairly quickly. Not to mention, the decal looks awesome – a mix of matte, colored, and reflective design.
She tells me every time how much she loves it. Coincidentally her boots are also Salomon so seems she may favor the brand.
I’m really digging this board. Went from a 10 year old Burton beginner board to this and was a little scared but I had a blast riding last weekend! I’m 5’9″ and 125lbs, riding a 152cm. The board handles turns really well and was incredibly responsive to me.
I did notice it has trouble in the heavier powder but the flex and lightness is a huge perk to me coming from a basic board. I also love the design on the board which is a plus.
Why feel good, when you can feel better? The Bataleon Feelbetter is built with progression in mind, making it the go-to board for ambitious female riders. It features a playful flex that’s super easy to press on boxes and rails, backed up by 3BT and Sidekick to keep edge catches to a minimum whatever the terrain.
Why feel good, when you can feel better? Float Ratio 5. 6 Flex 3 2023 Feelbetter Snowboard – Womens.
what’s up homies. i started riding my feelbetter in january of this season and i could not be more in love. the edge control is amazing, and i find the board keeps me stable when i otherwise thought i would be catching an edge and slamming.
the board is so nimble and playful in the park, and surprisingly has not let me down on icy days, pow days, or joyriding through the steeps and deeps. i wished the board was a true twin, but i set the bindings up symmetrically and haven’t really felt a directionality.
the visible difference in the shape of the tip and tail can’t be felt when i change from regular to switch. all in all i love this board!!! im short so i ride the 138, i hope sometime soon bataleon will make a super soft and flexy true twin for short women like me.
This board. This. Board. *chefs kiss* I’m 5’2 and 115lbs. Only in my third season going a handful of times a year and learned on an older secondhand board I got for cheap. Got the 143 and I’m not sure if it’s just me being more confident/experienced versus when I was riding my old board but man did I see a major difference in my progression.
I’m still solidly intermediate, but I went from doing wide, controlled sliding S-turns to being able to comfortably carve while maintaining speed on steeper blues – and I’ve only been using this board for half a season.
Like a lot of other reviewers, there were so many times I should’ve caught an edge and bailed hard but this board is so forgiving and responsive. The fact that the graphics are super cute is a major plus.
If you’re on the fence about buying, don’t be. It’s so worth it.
Just decided on this board from the experts at curated and OMG! I love this thing. Such a great camber board. Hold icy edges well and I find myself staying on my feet more often than not. This board has helped me gain speed and progress, it’s just an easy fun and poppy board.
I originally had a 2018 burton Flying V yesayer board and was looking for a camber profile and something that was forgiving with flex. I can’t say enough good things about this board. You won’t regret buying this! I am 5’9 and 150 lbs and I ride a 152! Perfect size coming from a 148”.
A playful board for creative riders The women’s specific design of the Salomon HPS Annie Boulanger was designed and built by Annie and Wolle Nyvelt. This board features a powder camber and medium flex.
It is extremely manoeuvrable and smooth to surf through the deepest snow at your favourite backcountry spot. Riding Style A fun all-mountain/ powder board for any rider looking for a reliable board. Carving turns on the slopes, surfing turns in the powder or creative riding all over the mountain.
With this board, the good times never stop. Shape The Tapered Directional Shape is perfect for all-mountain and freeriding. The nose is slightly wider than the tail for controlled turns in any terrain.
The offset of the bindings towards the tail (setback) makes the nose a little longer for even more float in powder. Profile The HPS features a powder camber. The camber provides explosive carving ability and the rocker areas under the forefoot for fun and freedom in powder.
The best of both worlds, without chattering vibrations. Flex The soft-medium flex allows for easy turns and ensures a fun and comfortable ride through any terrain at all times, without sacrificing control.
Construction The sintered EG Base is designed for super-fast gliding on any snow, from fresh powder to slushy spring snow. Salomon enhances the natural snap and pop of the wood core with a specially shaped Popster core profile.
The Ghost Green core components have been selected and developed to optimise pop and reduce weight while utilising the sustainable properties of super-light Paulownia wood. ABC Wrapper is a patented process that uses a bamboo veneer to reduce the amount of fibreglass and synthetic resins in the board by 40 %.
The classic ABS sidewalls are replaced by waterproof bamboo poles.
I’m a beginner and this board met my needs to my current knowledge & skill level. It felt great to ride compared to the rentals I’m used to & I’m looking forward to getting to know it more as the season progresses.
It is lightweight and easy to find the accessories needed (boots, bindings) to match & fit. The design is beautiful & got many compliments on the slopes. I ordered this as part of a packaged with boots & bindings but the shipment was delayed from manufacturer.
That said, Evo made this experience really seamless. I would purchase all my future gear from them on customer service alone. I got my board a few days earlier than anticipated and they made returning parts of my order that hadn’t shipped yet painfree.
Furthermore, customer service provided me solid advice on what to buy to get started even if it wasn’t through them.
Bought this for my daughter after reading a lot of online reviews, mostly of women’s specific boards. Start of her second season. She is loving it all around. Says it is much easier to turn than her board she learned on last season (older Lamar 148).
Says it does not catch edges as her old one did. Says she still falls, but not nearly as much. Says it feels lighter in comparison. Said it was much better in the deep snow. Better float, did not bury the nose of the board as much.
Had a huge smile on her face after her first couple of days on the hill w it. She’s very happy w it so far. Has put in a good few days up on Mt Baker already this season and looking for many more now that she has a more comfortable board to ride.
This is an incredible first board. I am 5 feet, 120 lbs, & size 8 boot. I went with a size 142cm/spell bidnings(M) and it is perfect. It is incredibly light weight, durable, and super responsive on the mountain.
It is a great board to learn and progress on, I am really happy with my decision to go with this board. The quality is also really good for the price, so I am expecting this board to last me years with the proper maintenance.
I highly recommend this board for a beginner rider like myself!.
Based on the progression-friendly B-Nice, the Gnu Women’s B-Nice Asym Snowboard takes things a step further with its intuitive asymmetrical design. Whether you’re still perfecting your carving skills or already letting loose in the park, the B-Nice Asym makes it fun to shred any type of terrain.
The asymmetric design features a deeper heelside sidecut, a shorter heelside contact length, and an asym flex to make your heelside turns as powerful and natural feeling as your toeside turns. In other words, it makes shredding feel easier and more natural.
Banana profile features rocker between the bindings with subtle camber towards the tip and tail for a catch-free, forgiving ride that floats in powder but still packs plenty of pop. Magne-Traction technology features multiple contact points along the running edges to help you navigate icy parks and slippery slopes without sliding out.
It also has a medium-soft flex that makes it easy for beginners to initiate turns and provides a playful feel for jibbing, while the beveled edges reduce hang-ups when you want to slide your favorite park feature sideways.
The lightweight, crisp-feeling aspen and golden poplar wood core is made from sustainably harvested trees, and the extruded base is easy to repair when you ding it up. If that’s not enough to convince you, then you should also know that this board was built in the USA by snowboarders with jobs.
I love this board. I needed an new board after years of using an old. The technology is great and the colors and feel are awesome too. So happy I got this board
I have had a great start to my season because of this board. Great for progression and feeling comfortable and confidant with my turns. I would recommend this board to all skill levels.
