14 Best Snow Tubes For Sledding (2023 Updated)

Althought it hasn’t snowed yet, the child I bought this for loves it! He rides it along the wood floors with his little brother and ask to go around the house again and again. He can’t wait for it to actually snow so he can ride it outside.

Although it’s made of plastic, it can handle a beating from the kids, doesn’t scratch or stain easily and it doesn’t damage the wood floors. It’s a great purchase for winter fun.

I wanted to write about the design and quality of the product. When we unpackaged the tube it seemed really well made. I’m confident after inflating it and pulling all four of my kids 8 and under around on our laminate flooring that it will do well outside.

I also noticed the handle are plenty big to grab them wearing gloves. As an added bonus it even comes with a small repair kit. We have not been about to use the tube in the snow yet because it will be a month or so before our first heavy snowfall in Ohio.

We can’t wait to use it. I will come back to update this review then.

My son loves this snow tube! We had our first major snow fall for this season today and he couldn’t wait to try out his new snow tube. Its very easy and fast to inflate. I used an electric air pump and it was fully inflated within 2 minutes.

Great size with 36″ and a high weight limit of 198lbs. My son said,the large handle bars make it very easy to hold on to,even with bulky snow glove. Its very lightweight and for that easy to carry back up the hill.

It provided hours of fun for my son and he is looking forward to using it all winter. The large vent made it easy to deflate after use.

Great looking tube, plump, easy to open. Feels sturdy at the full air pressure, not flimsy as some. Handles are a very good size for gripping. Colors are exciting, they make you want to go even before there is snow lol.

Air pump fit with very little trouble, mouth-filling will, of course, take a bit longer but the “straw” to fill is conveniently placed at least, unlike some where it’s stuck right next to the handle.

Excited for snow!.

I took the little ones up north to the slopes this week and they tried out this awesome tube. First, I’d like to talk about the material. It has a wonderful gliding material that really allows it to slip and slide well and still remain durable.

It’s polar shield really does work at preventing any unwanted hardening or freezing of the material. I was concerned that my kids wouldn’t be able to grip the handles because of their super puffy gloves, but this tube has oversized handles that even fit my hand when I gripped it, making it perfect for kids in any sized mittens or gloves.

I was surprised to find repair patches inside the box when I opened it, along with easy to understand instructions. I doubt I’ll ever be needing those, but it’s so good to have. The tube really holds up to it’s stated weight capacity because even my 147 pound teenager was able to take it down some pretty steep slopes with total ease.

This is a well made, easy to use, and super fun toy. As a parent, I approve, and so do my kids.

We got one of these tubes couple of years back and have been using it in winters and they work great, and dont rip. You have to properly store it after the snow season to make sure there is no mold or rips.

We use these tubes when we go to the mountains to snowboard or ski and the younger kids can have fun with their tubes. They inflate and stay inflated until you deflate them. The handles are nice not just for holding on but for carrying it.

We have not had a problem with holes or seams. After each snow season we deflate it completely, leave it for a couple of days indoors to make sure all the moisture is gone and then roll it up and store it in a paper bag in a garage.

I definately recomend these tubes. They are surprisingly well made and durable and have served us well.

Wow !!! This snow tube is phenomenal. My 6 year old is so happy with it and it’s HUGE! It’s well made to prevent from popping or deflating. While it hasn’t snowed here in NY we blew it up and has my daughter sit on it to check for stability.

The handles are in the perfect spot and I can’t see this breaking. We left it inflated for over 2 weeks and it didn’t loose any air! We left it outside in the Rain and wind during a store to test it and it didn’t even budge in the wind! It’s crazy because it’s light weight enough to carry but won’t blow away.

We can’t wait until the first snowstorm to take this baby out on the hills! Plus is ADORABLE!!!!.

Ordered these as Christmas gifts and two of them broke on the first day of using them- right at a seam. So disappointing.

This sled looks pretty durable and the material feels thicker then other sleds that I have bought in the past. Since we have not gotten snow yet this year I have not gotten to try it them out yet. The blue color is a nice bright shade of blue.

A rope is attached so you can easily pull it back up the hill. The recommended age is for 3 to 15 years old, however with a weight limit of 275 pounds I don’t see why this wouldn’t be appropriate for adults as well.

I plan to use it with my kids this winter. Dimension: 47. 5”(L) x 18”(W) x 5. 5”(H) Rope length: 89. 5” I think this would make a great Christmas present. I received this item at a discount or free in exchange for my honest opinion, and a review of my experience.

We just recently had 2 huge snow storms, and my kids (ages 4,4 & 5) loved this thing so much! We have a decent slop in our back yard, and with all the snow we got, they spent hours on this thing. Honestly, I thought it was going to wear out and burst for how often they used it, but it’s still sturdy and shows hardly any sign of use! It should go without saying, but I would make sure you check the intended use area for debris (like rocks) before hand to prevent damage.

We’ll be picking up another 2 soon enough so they don’t have to argue about sharing. Love this snow tube!.

I got pretty excited when I got the Snow Tube since I’ve always wanted to go snow tubing but never have tried it. This year I’m taking my girlfriend and her little sister too and when they both saw the Penguin Snow Tube, they got so thrilled.

We love the design, it’s very cute and appealing. We tried to blow it up just to see how it looks and we love it. I’m super happy and can’t wait to go snow tubing this year.

I loved the cute little penguin snow tube. It was durable and cute! It withheld the snowy hills I went down with ease. The size wass great and allowed room for me to move around and not feel like I was going to fall off.

I recently decided to get a snow tube for my kids since we typically spend a lot of the winter sledding on the weekends. Up to this point, we’ve only used sleds but I’ve always wanted to try out a tube.

My biggest concern with tubes has always been their durability. After getting this tube and airing it up, I feel like that won’t be a problem at all. The material is thick and appears extremely durable.

Airing it up was easy and it’s actually bigger than I had pictured in my mind. My kids LOVE the penguin graphics and think this is the coolest thing on the planet right now. Now, we just need some snow to fall so we can really test it out.

From everything I’ve seen so far though, this tube appears to be extremely well made and I have no doubt that it’ll hold up to anything that my kiddos put it through.

I got this for my boys to keep them busy this winter, says it’s supposed to hold up to 220 pounds, it held both of my boys who equal to about 235, while it worked great for us I wouldn’t recommend following in my lead.

I was just putting it to the test to see if it would hold up which it did! We had a few days of light snow so haven’t had the chance to see how far we can actually push it yet. What we did see is that thw few inches we did accurate plus a hill equaled fun for a few rounds.

The snow tube is still in perfect condition and is just patiently waiting for more snow. It was easy to inflate and seems like thick enough material to survive my boys! They sure can’t wait to have more fun with it! It seems to go fast which they love so it slides smoothly with thw right amount of snow!.

We don’t have snow yet, so I can’t vouch for how this goes down a snow hill. However, I blew this up and had my children sit on it (9 & 13) and they both fit on it, no problem. With the weight capacity, my husband and son were on it comfortably, but two adults certainly don’t work on it.

The construction of this is thick and high quality, the handles work for one or two riders, and it didn’t deflate at all for 3 days. Overall, great snow toy for Wisconsin winters.

I got some gift cards for Christmas and decided to buy some tubes to take the kids sledding. Bought some from Walmart and some from Amazon because that’s where the gift cards were from. Both sets of tubes arrived on the same day.

They were advertised as the same size, but are very different when blown up. The Amazon tubes are small around, though the same height. The Walmart tubes are much bigger around and will provide a much more cushy ride.

I saw another reviewer saying that the price at walmart was too high and needed to lower their price to compete with amazon. I’m here to tell you Amazon’s tubes are garbage and I’m sending them back.

Buy these. They are the best and worth the money. By the way, we took one of each brand out to try, and I’m telling you from experience. The Amazon tube went flat as well as being dinky and small. Everyone fought over these walmart tubes.

The quality of these tubes is great, just as I expected. I wonder if the office staff is short-handed considering my experience. First I was sent tubes of the wrong size. I used the “contact seller” link to send an email and it was not responded to until I gave up and left a poor rating, at which time I received a call inquiring about the poor rating and acknowledging that it had been about a month since I emailed them.

They were very nice and apologetic and only asked for a confirmation of the size of the tubes that I had received. I snapped pictures of the three tubes showing the size markings on the tubes, and of the documentation that had accompanied the tubes, and emailed them to them.

A day later, when I had not received acknowledgement of my emailed pictures I called to ask if they had seen the pictures and the poor lady had to dig into their emails to find mine and look at the pictures as we spoke.

They have sent me the correct size tubes. I had another question which I emailed to them on Thursday, Sep 22 as a reply to their email, and it is now Sunday, Sep 25 and I have not yet received either a reply to my question or even an acknowledgement of my email.

I believe they are well meaning but don’t have time to stay on top of their emails. Make sure you call if you have any question. Ebay does not supply their phone number but you can look them up online to find the number easily enough.

I got for my son as a gift. It’s perfect. We love the color! It is very sturdy and well built. It seems like it will last a long time. We can’t wait to use it in the snow. It even have oversized handles for his thick gloves.

It will be wonderful to use in the snow, especially during these uncertain times. Would recommend to anyone.

Mostly wanted this for my eight year old son. He absolutely loves it and finds it a lot of fun to use. He said it’s comfortable to ride on and the handles are very easy to grab onto with gloves. The tube looks exactly as pictured with a bright, colorful design.

Very sturdy material so can foresee this lasting through multiple snowy seasons. Really happy with this product!.

This snow tube delivers. I love that the bottom is solid so you don’t get packed snow accumulation and it seems to slide more smoothly than a traditional tube. The kids got some pretty good speed going on that was moderately concerning, but there were no major wipe outs so it was a good day.

Our only regret is it doesn’t often snow where we live, so actually using it requires a good deal of planning and a long drive. Totally worth it.

This snow tube is beyond fun! Who doesn’t like snow tubing and who doesn’t like unicorns!? I got this for my daughter, but I must admit I too am in love with this inflatable snow tube from H2OGO! This snow tube pretty much guarantees winning the Coolest Kid award.

The snow tube itself aside from looking extremely cool is sturdy and well made and can hold up 198 lbs. The tube is made of Polar-Shield™ weather-resistant material to help keep the tube from freezing or cracking in extra cold temperatures.

There is a large 3-way interlocking release valve that makes both inflation and deflation easy. I also like that the tube comes with one repair patch so make sure you tuck it away in a safe place you can find it if/when you need it.

One other thoughtful detail is the large oversized handles which are perfect for gloves or mittens.

We got our “Snow Unicorn Inflatable Snow Tube” that we have not use yet as we are waiting on snow! On inspecting it, it is so cute, The material reminds you of a flotation device, has handles big enough to hold onto with gloves/mittens and center to sit in for staying on the device.

I think this device would do excellent in the softer snow, its not for rough terrain with possible damage from frozen/icy snow. The device does come with a patch and it needs a foot pump to fill as it does not recommend using compressors.

I would say this device is more for 6, and under as long as there is an adult is keeping an eye on children under 4. I would recommend a small blanket in the center for smaller children. It looks good for simple sledding and teaching children how to sled.

It finally snowed this year so I could take this out with my 5 year old son! First impression it is really cute. My son loves unicorns so I knew he would be super excited when he saw it. He was petting it and jumping around.

Then we took it outside and it seems to be very durable. It glides over the top of the snow so you can actually use it even on smaller hills. We had a blast with this! The handles were perfect and makes it feel much safer for kids who may normally feel scared or nervous.

Definitely a good choice!.

Like previous reviews, this lasted literally one ride down our hill. Smooth soft snow and we didn’t over-inflate (followed instructions). So annoyed, the material is way too thin to serve any purpose but a lawn decoration.

Per usual, I should’ve listened to the real reviews and not counted the ones collected as part of a promo.

Last year was our first winter in New England. We saw some of kids using these the first snow (which was early last year) and then looked to buy them and saw the price and was like no way. We bought an inexpensive sled instead.

Fast forward several more snow storrms and seeing more kids using these and having blast, we re-considered. Of course by that time, they were sold out. This year, I bought early for Christmas presents – 3 regulars, one for each kid.

Just finally had some snow to test them. Wow! Definitely worth the money. Even my husband and I tried them out (yes, regular size) and so much fun. Kicking myself I didn’t just buy spend the $$ last December and had them for all of last year’s snow storms instead of those other sleds.

Also, adding – we were torn for regular and XL. Or one XL for kids to share. I’m glad we went wtih 3 regular for each kid. This will allow them to go sledding with their friends separately. I was worried they will outgrow the regular but I don’t see that happening.

As i said, even my husband and I could use regular (albeit a little small). Also, the regular is heavy enough. My 5yo couldn’t get it back up the hill himself and my 7yo struggled a little getting it back up snowy hill so no way could they do xl.

My 10 year was totally fine with regular too. I could see XL good for teens/college/adults.

My granddaughters had a lot of fun with the snow tube in the recent snow (actually, mostly sleet). The outer shell construction seems very sturdy. The inner tube is thick and appears durable. However, the XL is light enough for a seven and a ten-year-old to easily drag it around.

My one minor complaint is that it is difficult to let out the air for storage. You have to sit and hold the button on the air nozzle, and air comes out very slowly. Prospective buyers READ THIS: First, as the instructions tell you to do, check the inner tube to determine the size, either Reg or XL.

If you have an XL shell and an XL inner tube, then keep pumping in air until the tube fills the shell. There is a short video you can watch. Don’t be afraid that you will overfill the tube. You will know when you have enough air, but don’t stop too soon.

The tube must be snug against the shell.
