20 Best Snow Shovel With Wheels (2023 Updated)

The snowcaster is one of life’s greatest inventions! I saw one if these in use by a building grounds man as I was going to work one morning. I saw how quickly and with no apparent strain it was him to clear wide swaths of snow as employees were about to begin walking on the sidewalk that adjoined the building.

I got one of the snowcaster for myself, and it’s one of the best thing I could have done. I love it!!.

I love American Made products, and this shovel is an example of why. It’s sold at a fair price, it has outstanding design, and it is even more durable than you can imagine. I was kind of cautious about the “plastic” blade, but I’ve had one for five years now in Colorado that still looks almost brand new.

The blade is still intact, and uncracked, and all of the other parts are still just as good as new. Everyone who sees or uses my shovel falls in love with it instantly. It has the size that makes even big jobs go easily.

Just keep in mind that this blade is NOT made for lifting snow, and you should avoid doing that. This blade is designed for “pushing” snow out of the way. What I do when there is a snow storm is I don’t wait for all the snow to fall.

Instead, I go out every couple of hours, and push off any accumulation. Sure, I have to go out more often, but each time is way easier than if I waited until the end, and I never have to “lift” any snow at all! I love that I can easily buy replacement parts on line when needed, but I have never needed to do so.

My only complaints with this shovel are 1) I wish the wheels were closer together for doing smaller, narrower walks. Some narrow, suburban walks are too narrow for both wheels to be on the ground, so you have to kind of hold the blade up.

And, 2) I wish there were a third option of “straight ahead” on the angled blade. I like the angle, and it’s great for clearing sidewalks, but a “straight”option may sometimes be more beneficial on big driveways.

All in all, it’s a great shovel at a great price, and it will greatly reduce any owner’s fear of Winter snows.

The man who clears my heavy snow here in Utah for me. I purchased one for myself for lighter snow days. I loved it so much – I bought two more for two different elderly neighbors. They also love it. The SnowCaster is easy to use, lighter in weight, requires little effort & does a fantastic job.

This is so much better than a regular snow shovel clearing the walks & driveways. It has a wider blade area & is so easy to use. I’ll still let the man clear snowfalls that require an ATV & blade assembly, but 90% of my snow days I can now handle & not risk slipping or pulling a muscle!.

I bought this and assembled it and then it hung in our garage until the snow came. It was easy to assemble and even easier to install on the Aerocart. I have used this Snow Plow attachment 3 times now and it works great.

We don’t get a lot of deep snow where I live so this is the perfect solution to shoveling. The 1st snow I used to on was about 2 powdery inches deep & I plowed it over to one side and was amazed at how easy it was.

The 2nd snow was wet and about 3 inches deep. This required some more effort to push. I have the cart in wheel barrow mode & I found if I pushed a few feet and then pushed down on the handles, it kept the pile of snow in front of me more manageable.

The 3rd snow was about 2 to 3 inches but there was a layer of ice under the snow. The plow did great on the snow but was unable to scrape off the ice. I adjusted the plow one more screw hole to place plow closer to the ground and that did not make a difference.

It still could not scrape off the ice. The ice texture was real rough so it had traction for walking/driving so I left it alone. I realize that this is a plow and not a shovel so it is not designed to chip ice away.

For what this is designed to do, it does a great job. Maybe if it was on an angle the up front pile would be easier to deal with for deeper snow. For where I live there is no more back breaking shoveling snow thanks to another great Worx product!.

Bought this a few weeks back and while shipping was kind of slow it got here just in time to get tested out in a recent snow/ice storm. I was pleasantly surprised the I was able to get up some of the snow and ice from my driveway that not even my snowblower would get.

Was able to use it to get my driveway almost completely snow/ ice free. Only major issue for me so that the coating on the blade seems to have been scratched or rubbed off from rubbing against the pavement, otherwise easy to use and definitely useful.

After injuring my shoulder and arm last April and undergoing physical therapy and a cortisone injection, I didn’t want to reinjure my arm shoveling snow. I bought this. It easily attaches to the Aerocart Wheelbarrow and you’re using your upper body evenly, along with your core to move snow.

The only thing that I don’t recommend is using it for Lake Effect snow – it’s just too heavy, like shoveling water. I’m not intimidated by normal snowfall anymore. Thanks Worx!.

I bought the 36 inch two years ago and the 18 inch this year. Absolutely love them!! I bought this 30″ inch for my neighbor who lost her husband and now has to shovel herself and is getting older. Having great neighbors are worth their weight in gold so I am hoping this shovel will make things much much more easy for her when we get those annoying 1 to 3 inch snows.

Before giving it to her I tried it out on her driveway ahead of time and I honestly think the 30″ out of all of them is the perfect size for most people. I actually like it a little better than my 36″ one because it’s the pefect size for most sidewalks.

These snowplow snow pushers are the absolute best. You can’t go wrong no matter what size you choose because they are all fast, easy, smooth and efficient. I actually look forward to shoveling snow since I purchsed my first one a few years ago.

My neighbor found one last year and i tried it out. Absolutely loved it, but as youve seen they’re not cheap. Mine has a plastic brace instead of metal but it feels very sturdy. Its also lighter than his.

I use on the roof because it doesn’t dig in and on the driveway it pushes a lot of snow. Nothing sticks to the blade. Only down sude i could see would be very deep snow or deep wet snow. Its not really designed to pick it up but it will to a point.

Too much snow and its difficult to push because it wants all of it. All in all, i absolutely love this shovel. Youll never use the other ones again. Worth every penny.

I can’t answer that question as of yet since I live south central Pennsylvania and have not received any snow as of yet. I truly hope it doesn’t snow but I know that is just wishful thinking hence the reason why I purchased the snow plow shovel.

I am expecting it work just fine and I’m sure I will be quite satisfied with its performance if only I could get my stepson to do it for me would make me more pleased.

Do snow removal for winter work. Self employed and buy wisely. Also have smaller size one. Been using last 3 years. Like others said does great for 1-3 inch fluffy snowfalls. Heavy snow , shovel not designed for due to footprint trying to push.

Like best for clean up after snow blowing sidewalk and driveways for professional job. Big time saver here. Don’t expect to use for scraping ice as not designed for. For most people unless you do snow removal for living would recommend the smaller one to this.

Best of all can replace main components easily if damaged or just wears out from much use.

This “snow pusher” shovel has to be the most poorly designed one on the market. It is well constructed and should last awhile, but the handle is about 4 inches too short which makes the already heavy bottom seem even heavier.

A longer handle would improve the mechanics considerably. I bought this because I didn’t want to buy another plastic shovel that won’t last but a season or two. Ames Company could easily and economically cure this defect.

I hope they do so.

Because it is a pusher shovel it is a bit blade heavy. THIS IS NOT a shovel meant for lifting and tossing snow. (for one of those try a true temper 18 inch blade) However if you are trying to clear out snow from a driveway and need to PUSH it out of your way LIKE a plow this is a great shovel.

it will clear a driveway quick if used properly. If used the wrong way you better consider checking your health insurance.

This product can push snow as advertised but its weakness is in the fiberglass handle. If you live in a climate where it snows regularly and at the end of the push, you have to lift the snow over the mound from the last time, you’ll be disappointed with this shovel, particularly the wider versions of it.

The fiberglass handle splits under the lifting load in a very short period of time. For the same high price, buy the Suncast or Acme brand as it has a lightweight aluminum handle that won’t split.

Look at several options where the snow thrower will not work. I am more than happy with this purchase. I have used it so far twice with the early snow in the northeast and it did an outstanding job. Easier than using a snow shovel to throw the snow in a pile that you then have to move later on.

You just push the snow to one area and yes in some cases you have to still use the shovel. All in all it save the back and makes a sloppy snow day easier all they way around. I would suggest this to anyone over those backsaver shovels.

As of build quality. Not bad for the price. The shovel alone is worth an easy $100 based on the materials used in building it. As for the rest well it is under $150 so I can’t really complain. I can say I will easily get more than 2 seasons out use out of it with heavy snow.

So once again a great deal for the price.

I like this shovel, works well with wet snow and fantastic with light powdery snow. Easy to assemble. Only issue I have: One of the bolts that secures the wheels didn’t have its phillips head stamped into it, making it impossible to completely tighten the lock nut.

I came up with a workaround so other than that, very happy.

I bought it for a worker in our community. Lots of walks. While I think it is a good snow pusher, this particular one would be for homeowners due to width. The user thinks it would be useful for heavy snow although the description said good for lighter snow ~2 inches which is the depth a shovel is used here.

He didn’t use it.

I purchased this Snowcaster shovel for my wife after viewing a few videos on it. I am handicapped, but fortunately my wife enjoys removing the snow when it is 2 inches or less. We have a man that takes care of snow over 2 inches.

My wife saw the videos, and since our driveway is over 100 feet long and 9 feet wide, she thought the Snowcaster would be fun to use and not be as difficult as a standard shovel. She is actually excited about it.

She loves the design and appreciates how you can direct the snow with just a flip of the handle. Sturdy construction. Should last many years. And you can easily purchase replacement parts. Great product.

I love the snowcaster it pushes snow out of the way with little effort and its so much easier on your back than lifting a shovel full of snow. I recommend this product.

I would definitely recommend this snow blade as it saves time, simple to use and made in the USA. It doesn’t leave a ridge of snow on both ends like a straight snow pusher does, as the snow goes off of one side.

Can make 2 passes down a 48-70″ sidewalk and you’re done.

Knowing how much I pound on the current Grantz brand scraper/snow roller during snowstorms I was a bit disappointed to see that the overall thickness of the plastic was much less than the Grantz. Also the stress points around the base of the handle are not as beefy as the Grantz.

Im pretty sure this shovel will not last as long. Of course this shovel was less than half the cost of the Grantz so I can expect the quality to be less as well.

Lightweight shovel with wide bite. Has been great for walks and stairs. Doubles as a yard dustpan for the rake when not used for snow. I’ve owned several Big Foot products and always been pleased with the quality.

The metal edge blade is fastened to the plastic shovel with rivets. For most people snow is being removed from either a concrete surface or blacktop. The concrete or blacktop will grind off the pop rivets and the metal edge will fall off.

Of course the remaining plastic edge will not last long either. There is a printed sticker placed on the back of the shovel stating not to used shovel on abrasive surface like concrete or blacktop. Where else do people shovel snow? On a frozen lake? So the manufacture knows the problem with this design.

But they can say you have been forewarned. The handle design is pretty good. If the snow is wet and heavy be careful not to overload the shovel. You could injure yourself. The design also enables the user to push the snow rather than lift and toss.

Depending on amount of use, shovel may last one or two seasons.

This shovel is great for use in heavy snow! However, because of its size (XL), it is awkward to handle in small s pop aces or if you’re a small person. If you have a lot of snow to shovel and your a large person, this is an awesome shovel for you! It’s extremely durable!.

It was not until I went to shovel snow that I realized the surface that met the pavement was bowed so that only the outside edges hit leaving a quarter inch of snow in the middle of the shoveled area.

The only good thing about the shovel was I got my money back with no issues; of course it took more time out of my day to return it.

I was looking for a good, sturdy snow shovel without a metal edge in order to avoid scratching or damaging my deck. This fit the bill. Lightweight and sturdy as any other shovel.

My hubby saw this in the store and had to have it. He loves that there is no metal blade at the bottom.

Garant shovels are the best, and the small head and long handle are true back savers. Love it!

Instead of the traditional handle shaft fitting into a cylindrical opening and being secured by a screw or two, a fancy system consisting of a bracket screwed onto the handle which wedged into a recess on the blade is used.

Purpose is to allow attachment of the handle to the blade without tools. The handle literally plugs in. Unfortunately the tolerances and lack of care by assemblers result in a very loose fit. I disassembled and modified and seems to work ok for now.

Difficult to remove handle because of ratcheting teeth and hidden screw. Both units ordered were the same.

Pos- Strong handle and D-grip; very easy to assemble and the shaft doesn’t sit loose in the shovel like some other shovels I’ve seen. Con -Has small “walls” on the edges to help scoop snow – these should be bigger to limit overflow; but still better than nothing at all which I see a lot on cheap wide shovels.

Stiff and thick blade near the shaft (good!) but gets thinner near the edge that runs on the sidewalk (bad); should be stiff and thick throughout and would get 5 stars. Overall good deal for ~30$ shipped.

The Arctic Blast is a decent poly pusher that does not hurt your driveway sealer. I go through two a year cleaning about 7000 square feet of lake effect snow. After a years use the edge is spent.

I have used Emsco group model 1280 and the 1280M poly snow pushers for over ten years with no problems. Recently I bought a new one as a back up incase one of the others fail. In my opinion they are the best poly snow pusher on the market.

I’m 72 years old and use the model 1280M to push snow off of my concrete drive way and the 1280 on my deck. With the design of these models, there is no lifting of the snow, just pushing.

this is the best snow shovel I have ever owned. the snow rolls up and pushes away very easily. having watched commercial snow removal companies use this shovel I had to have one for myself

We love it. Didn’t know when I purchased the shovel, it has a six year guarantee. Here in New Hampshire this shovel is much needed.

Excellent soft snow removal and if is not windy, working as advertised. As soon as start to wind, good luck handling the plastic slide. Almost completely useless against hard snow. But I don’t know anything really usefull other than a shovel.

The fiberglass handle is sturdy but the snap system doesn’t offer you any advantage while using it, as it’s difficult to unsnap it with gloves. Long story short, it’s a good tool but too expensive for having so limited use scenarios (soft snow, not winding), needing complementary tools.

Try to buy it while in sale.

Ideally a person would use this BEFORE there is a foot and a half of snow on the roof. But even then it worked well. Sure beats standing on the roof and shoveling!

This works like a charm! The only thing is…expect that snow to come at you FAST!
