20 Best Snow Scraper For Car (2023 Updated)

I appreciate how easy this is to use and how quickly and safely it can knock several inches of snow off of SUVs. The foam end is quite sturdy, but I wouldn’t count on it to last forever if you aren’t at least a little careful with it.

I can imagine accidentally ramming it into your roof rack at the wrong angle would cause a problem. However, with normal use, I would expect this to last for many years. The scraper at the other end is a really nice touch, though I can’t speak to how durable that is since I’ve only used it for one cleaning session.

I remove one star just because I found it quite difficult to disassemble once you’ve screwed the foam end on. This might be due to the nature of the materials and the temperature you’re using them in, or maybe I just screwed it on too tightly.

Either way, I thought it would be easier to remove and clip on the handle for efficient storage purposes.

TL;DR: Best snow brush option out there, but LEDs are basically useless and the battery compartment cover thread and seal design are terrible. Prefer to not even have them, because I’ll never use them, but I bought this on sale.

I LOVE SnowJoe snow brooms (brushes)! I love the telescoping handles, I love how much snow it can push at once and how much faster that makes the job (in Buffalo, we can wake up with a foot or more of snow and have half an inch or more fall just while brushing off a car with a regular brush), and I love that it doesn’t scratch my paint.

I even buy these for Christmas presents and random gifts. That being said, attaching the head to the handle via the threaded fitting can be kind of annoying, but personally, I leave it on or find it to be absolutely worth it.

The LEDs are not very bright, I have a hard time thinking of a time when I would even use them, and even then, the threading for the cover and the o-ring design for the seal is very cheap, so I don’t think I’ll even end up using them.

I DID test it, but took the batteries out, because it would just be a waste, for as little as I would use them, having them out in the cold, and maybe getting wet if any water gets into the battery compartment.

Firstly, it’s much, much better to remove snow from my car with this product as I anticipated. So, I’m grateful. What I have to recommend, though, is to have a hole by the first locking metal ball (pardon my not using any technical terms), because it would keep it from occasionally slipping out.

Also, where the brush screws in could be just a little tighter. I would give five stars for these minor but significant revisions. Aside from that, it’s effectively better than using a brush, which I’ve done for years – to the slight paint damage on my car.

My neighbor gave me one of the earlier models before the added lights. Don’t care about the lights anyways. What I do care about is the amount of time it knocks off my total clean time. Literally one pass with this compared to like 20 with a brush.

No brainer for me. I wish I would’ve known of this product before this year but am glad I have become aware and an owner. I have already recommended this product to numerous people. If your contemplating, just do it.

A brush would cost you half anyways, spend the extra and be completely satisfied. You won’t regret it!.

The ice scrapers are well made. Some did have a small rough area, perhaps from the mold. The area is easily removed with a sharp edge; razor or knife.

Does what an ice scraper is supposed to do. Perfect for a small car.

Great design for those days of deep wet snow on the car. I have never seen a wiper blade cleaner before, SWEET. After clearing a squeegee to clear the glass for driving should be added. A telescoping feature would be very handy.

It is not my money at risk, but I bet one at a higher price with those two features would sell well.

Having a snow/ice scraper with multiple tools in one is awesome in WI winter. The snow scraper portion works wonderfully and gets very close to the window on the first attempt. The length of the scraper is awesome for single handed use.

The brush portion, I wish the bristles were a little longer, but work well for the length. Overall, I would recommend this scraper for anyone to use that has to deal with winter weather!.

We finally got a hard frost so I was able to try out my new scraper. The handle on this thing is a GAME CHANGER! With the handle there is no more slippage while freezing my fingers off. This thing is great! I don’t know how I survived the last 24 winters without it.

Never again will I use a cheap ice scraper.

I’ve been using various snow brushes over the past all most 40 years. I bought two of these from Canadian Tire about 2-3 years ago. I use one on a small sedan and another on a mid size SUV. The head can be rotated and locked in 3 position very easily and quickly.

You don’t have to but by rotating the head, you can more effectively and quickly remove snow in a direction that makes sense. Such as pushing the snow between roof rails off a roof towards the rear. The rotating head can be used to push snow away from you, towards you, to the left or to the right with fantastic results.

The telescopic handle is securely locked and has been durable. If I have some ice on the hood, roof or trunk, I bang the soft blade of the head down on to the ice to break the ice up so it can be removed and therefore not fly off the vehicle while driving causing damage or injury to vehicles and occupants behind me.

The vibration/slight movement of the sheet metal will free the ice from the vehicle. I have since bought this for other family members and they love it also.

Bought this and used it once on my brand new car to scrape frost off of my windshield. I now have long scratches across my windshield right in the drivers field of vision. I took a closer look at the ice scraper and it clearly has a super sharp point where it should be smooth.

I am beyond frustrated especially since my vehicle is brand new and I now have to get the windshield scratches repaired. This is a horrible product. I would not recommend. I am very disappointed in Canadian Tire for selling this defective product.

Hands down the best brush i have ever owned and i drive a small Scion FRS. This is not just for trucks people. but it’s also awesome for trucks! We have one for our Ford F150 and i wouldn’t be able to clean the truck off easily without it.

It scrapes off my entire car in minutes and the snow doesn’t get stuck in brush bristles like traditional snowbrushes. I never thought i’d be so excited about a snowbrush but here we are. A must have for Canadian winters.

Living in Iowa, it’s anyone’s guess what a winter morning may bring. The ice melt scraper can get you on your way to your job faster than your car’s built-in defroster. My only quibble with the device is that it could use a longer cord to reach all the way around my car, without having to step back inside the car and thread the cord through a different window.

I bought this heated scraper as a Christmas present for my husband. We live in NJ and have had a few bad snow storms. We purposely parked our cars on driveway at nights before snowing so we wouldn’t get much snow for next day.

This product deserves its high ratings. The blade of the scraper is sharp and strong, so it should be a while before it gets nicked by ice and does anything but a good job. The brush is sturdy, and the scraper can be used with the brush attached, for long reaches, but I find the grip more comfortable with them apart.

The hand holds are comfortable and the little bag that comes with it is handy to keep both pieces together and to put away. I do leave them out of the bag for a while after use though, so wet items aren’t being put into the bag.

Needed longer brush for SUV windshield. This does the task but wish there were more bristle width and flexibility. Got the windows done though.

Fought in the clearance isle for only $1, sticker said it was originally around $8. Perfect to have for your car so I’m glad I got this even in the off season I just had to pick it up for later on this year.

So, as a few reviews mentioned, there are a couple parts of this item which don’t have the best durability. As shown in my picture, the first use the ice scraper portion snapped during the storm last weekend.

It was a Boston storm and the snow was very heavy but I was overly careful with the scraper as much as possible. I reached out to their customer service and I have a replacement in the mail not 2 days later.

Literally best costumer service I’ve ever dealt with. The product itself is extremely well designed, otherwise. The length is great, the ergonomic padded handles make it very easy/comfortable to use, the brush is well designed, and the ability to break it into separate pieces is something you never knew you needed.

Plus, the bag they provide with it makes storage extremely easy and it keeps the wet out of the back of my truck. I suppose these things can only be so durable for the money and the actual product type.

The poles are sturdy and fit tightly together. Length adjusters have many notches and actually Lock in place. They are easy to adjust. The ice scraper is not cheap, it will scrape heavy ice and last.

The bristles are frayed at the tip (for softness) yet stiff enough to move heavy snow. The pivot adjuster is easy to use and the head does not wobble or wiggle, the adjuster is well done. The squeegee rubber is very soft.

Tolerances are tight. I don’t expect these to wear out for many years. I am very pleased with the engineering, execution, and quality of materials and manufacturing.

Got this for my son because he was driving me nuts using a broom to clean his car off. This works great! He put it together the minute he received it and has already used it twice. He has a compact SUV and the length is perfect for cleaning his roof.

He liked the variety of ways he could use it and the extra tools included. I like the bag it has to store it in because it is so convenient and compact. He normally gets a snow scrapper every year and then either throws it out or misplaces it.

Hopefully, this will eliminate that and he can keep this one for a couple of years. It is a bit pricy though.

This was a small brush that I bought at the last minute for a trip to the mountains for a ski trip. It doesn’t really snow where I live, so most stores don’t stock any snow brushes except for this one, so I didn’t really have a choice.

The length of the overall brush is shorter than other typical brushes I’m accustomed to, impacting the amount of reach you can get with this brush. I also would have liked to see the width of the section with the bristles to be wider so that it can clear more snow with each sweep.

My biggest complaint though is about the ice scraper at the far end of the handle – the placement is unusual and the scraper interferes with the usability of the brush since you can’t get the brush into some tight places.

Overall, the design of this brush just creates more work than necessary. The low price reflects the smaller amount of material used in its construction. That said, the construction is solid and the brush was more than sturdy enough.

I wouldn’t buy it again, but I appreciate O’Reilly for carrying it and having it available and in stock in a place that doesn’t snow.

It doesn’t scrape the ice off the windows very well. I have to do multiple scraps and the brush doesn’t do anything at all. I rather just get the hose and then just warm up my hands.

The only think I don’t like about snow brushes available today is the scraper at the end. I find that it gets in the way when I am brushing snow. I cut the scraper off of both the brushes I bought. Other than that the brush is fine.

Scraper works as well as expected. Brush head swivels when moving large amounts of snow, so while inconvenient is not overly frustrating. Nice reach for larger cars (we have a ’11 Honda Pilot). Have only had for a couple snowstorms so time will tell how durable it is.

I bought this based on its 4. 4 ratings which may have been a mistake. The first time using it after a big snowstorm, I twisted and extended the arm to brush off my windshield, and heard a weird squeaking, and then it unlocked on me twice, which irritated me.

And then the scraper side got all twisted around and wouldn’t lay flat for storage. Not to mention the scraper left marks on my windows.

Not had a chance to use it. But looks and feels solid.

It seems to work as expected. I’ve used it a few times now, and I’m able to get ice or snow off with minimal effort. I think that my last snow brush was also this model, and it lasted a good few years before it started to dull.

I bought this as a gift and so it is not in my possession and we haven’t had snow yet for it to be put to use. It is nice and sturdy and I predict it will work effectively. However, there were some cosmetic damages.

Some of the plastic was scraped off like it got banged up. There were a lot of little white things in the bristles that needed to be combed out and the bristles were flared at the edges (not straight).

Also, while wrapping, one of the bristles fell out so I’m hoping this doesn’t continue. I would have liked for the product to have been cared for a bit better but it’s decent and I predict it will work well.

Heavy duty works well on both ice and snow. Comfortable grip handle it is a great value. A great product I highly recommend it!

I bought these for my two grandsons. They live in Michigan without a garage. Well, a big snow has fallen and the guys love them. So very happy because my boys are happy.

I mean. Really. It’s a snow brush. I like the fact it’s more like a squeegee and works better clearing snow off the roof of my truck. The scraper works well. Downside is ever when’s rod collapsed it’s still quite long Still good and would recommend for anyone who gets a fair amount of snow and had a larger vehicle.

It is good overall. The length is ideal and the sliding telescopic handle looks sturdy and unlikely to rust or seize (like it’s predecessor). There are a couple of annoying design flaws. If the shaft of the handle is straight and not curved so it will bump the roof of the car if you are using it fully extended and the ice-scraper is perpendicular to the brush for some odd reason, making it awkward to use.

I love every feature on this strong, reliable snow brush. The ice scraper actually works; the wiper side works great for removing wet snow; the extension is long enough to reach over the roof of my SUV; and the brush is strong enough to push snow off.

I would buy another one (especially when they are on sale).

I like it. Sturdy enough to handle tough ice or deep snow. Swivel head and extension are great. Easy to change even in sub-zero weather. Others seem to break easily, but this one is the champ.
