20 Best Snow Pants For Snowboarding (2023 Updated)

Great pants. Tons of pockets. Insulation does a good job of keeping warm. 6 foot. 230 lbs. Typically wear a 36 waist. These pants fit well in the legs and seat, but a little loose in the waist. Bought these to replace the same pair of pants in a large that no longer fit.

The old pair lasted 4-5 seasons and are still good to go, just too small. These new ones seem about the same if not more durable.

I would not hesitate to recommend these to anyone I know. Pros: Warm Good water resistance. Ergonomic pockets & cut. Gaiters with a metal hook. Loops around the waist for powder skirt attachment. Reinforced material around the cuff of the pant, scuff resistance.

Fit per the size chart. Quality is as expected from Burton. Cons: The zipped fleece-lined phone pocket cannot quite fit my Samsung Galaxy S9+ with a case on it but does fit food bars very well. (The phone fits perfectly in the normal front zip pockets and I would recommend doing that anyway).

I wish they were a bit warmer for an insulated pant. Throwing on a set of tights fixed the problem for me.

I think this bib is great, particularly for your resort days, but it’s quite versatile. I have put probably 20 days on them, and they have worked fantastic, repelling any water and wet snow as needed and with great breathability, however, in the last couple of days I noticed a small rip just above the knee, and I’m not sure where it came from.

I thought they would be a little more durable, but I’m planning on patching them up with a waterproof patch. I would absolutely recommend these as I trust my situation was a bit of a fluke, but it’s still disappointing.

Awesome Bibs. Bought em on sale so there’s that, but the water proof rating is 100% accurate. As other reviews have mentioned, the fit is slightly tight in the waist. Not uncomfortably so – I bought the Small and am 5 9, 150 lbs and they fit perfectly length wise.

My base layer is pretty thin and Iv got a thicker mid I wear over the bibs. If your gonna throw on a thicker base layer and your my size the waist will certainly be tight.

Bibs are great. Lots of pockets. Waterproofing is insane. DC killed it. Fit is a bit tricky to nail down. im 6’2, 215 and the L was tight around the hips. XL is. a little long but the fit is perfect.

The L was too tight for a sweater to be tucked in. The XL is a much better fit. The chest pockets are big and easy to access. Overall love the bibs. Would recommend to anyone.

These ski trousers are the best trousers I could have wished for. I recently went on my first ski trip ever to Bulgaria with friends, and I hit the slopes hard. I went for hours every day for a week and these trousers were extremely comfortable and stylish.

One day my Pro friends thought it would be a good idea to take me on a red slope. It was a bad idea. I slid over, toppled over, rolled over, but my ski trousers were fine. I had to bum slide a long way down the slope but I made it to the bottom, and the trousers were fully intact and as good as new.

My girlfriend got ski trousers from a cheaper site and they ripped on a blue slope (it was her first time skiing too). These trousers are 100% worth it. Thank you The North Face!.

Purchased these ski pants for a big ski trip out west this week. The pants are well made, warm, and have most of the necessary features you’d expect from ski pants. The reason for the 4 stars (vs. 5) are that there are a few minor things off about them.

Primarily, the pants are a bit too long – I’m almost 5’11’ and when I take off my ski boots to walk in my sneakers, the lining would drag on the ground. Also, there’s no zipper on the boot linings or pants so it’s just a simple pull over to cover the boot whereas my old ski pants had a nice zipper and button closure on the boot lining and pants which made it much easier to mange.

Lastly, there’s only 1 smaller cargo pocket besides the hip pockets which is somewhat limiting.

Got these last year. One day two the right pocket zipper broke. This year, on the first run the left pocket zipper broke. I’ve written a total of 5 days in these pants and wouldn’t say that i’ve been rough on a pocket zipper.

Other than the above. The pants feel and fit great. It’s a bummer that I can’t keep anything in my pockets anymore. Hope this isn’t true about all DC pants and their craftsmanship.

POSITIVES: —-> Boot integration zippered leg bottoms. —-> Neat design all over the pants. Kinda resembles google’s logo. —-> The thermatech insulation does well for breathability, comfort, activity, without too much excess for everyday places like the library.

—->adjustable waist for a nice way to make these pants fit better for all people. —-> Cost efficient for cold/snow pants. —->Water/wind resistant. NEGATIVES: —->The particular pants I received had a puncture/rip approximately the size of an eyelash on the left leg near the knee.

A few stray clothing threads does make me have minimal concern the hems are gonna have issues in the wash after a year or so. —-> The cargo pockets holds humidity so stash items accordingly. —-> There isn’t any wallet pockets.

This is normal design for nearly every Arctix brand pants I’ve looked at and is mentionable for casual shoppers that presume/assume some wallet pockets with every pants. Just be aware. OTHER THOUGHTS: —-> Walmart’s site says these run small, If they do, they don’t run small by much with this design at least.

I’d recommend following the actual waist measurements from the manufacturers. —->If you want ventilation on any kind, unzipping the pockets is one of the only options.

All I can say is,WOW! These pants are a steal. With JB’s gas going up,up,up, I am riding my Spyder to work till it snows. These pants are perfect for the cold morning ride. I bought them extra big to fit over my scrubs and jeans, and they do that.

The 34 inseam is pretty long and they tend to drag the heel, so I am going to get some suspenders to keep em hiked up. Not sure of durability, yet. Also of note, there are 2 zippered front pockets, and two velcro closed leg pockets.

I think I could use these for snowmobiling if my bibs fail me.

Excellent pants with regards to warmth, durability, water and snow repellent and appearance. Very comfortable to ski in. Front zipper is nice feature. I purchased the medium, and am 5 foot 11 165 pounds, with a 32 inch waist and 31 inch inseam.

They fit well in the thighs, the length was appropriate, but the waist was large. There is an adjustable belt, but I believe elastic in the waist line would also help. I do like the vented features on the inner aspect of the thigh of both legs.

I’ve been downhill skiing for over thirty years and these are my favorite snow pants so far. I only wish the front belt loops were spread further apart as I use suspenders to keep everything secure all day long.

I kept these pants but they are not perfect. I love the high rise so no snow goes down the back of the pants while skiing/riding- I’ve been looking for this feature for many years. They fit tight across the hips but not tight around the waist making them super comfortable.

The flair at the ankles is stylie, but “swishes” loudly when you walk. hopefully not walking much, just riding so not an issue. I have them in white and the soft material makes them easy to stain, but so far they spot clean easily too.

I am 5’10 and order everything tall, but these are really long so I need to hem them a touch, a refreshing problem from all of the other pants I’ve owned that are too short! They are soft inside, (not insulated), and are missing vents, so not particularly breathable, warm without long underwear, but I don’t hang out in them apre-ski.

They have small front pockets, perfect for ski pass or lipstick, not much else. These pants would be perfect if they had leg pockets and vents.

I knew I wanted both style and function in my ski pants and these fit the bill perfectly! I researched extensively and these were my top find! They kept me warm and dry, but also feel super cute in them.

The style is ultra flattering. Love the high waistband, and the special neoprene like waist is super comfy. Lightly lined so I wore thin workout leggings under and was warm and comfy in the upper 20s.

Cute pants! Bought to wear with matching coat, got tons of compliments on the whole outfit! The pants are comfy, and easy to wear, but more for Spring skiing, as they?re not very warm. I could feel the wind, even through my base layer.

Wore them for trips in January, February, and March. March sling was definitely more suited for these pants. Wore a thicker base layer on the first two trips, and it was ok. Really like the pants, happy to wear them.

Reason for 1 STAR (actually would be 0 if that was an option). This was purchased as a gift. I purchased size MEDIUM but what got delivered was XXL! When I went back online to see if I can order MEDIUM again and return the XXL, it was sold out.

I have no idea if this product is any good since there’s no way my nephew will fit XXL and there is no Medium to exchange for.

I am 5’8” 160lbs and wear 30/30 regular pants. Ordered the S short pants. The length was spot on, great material and good fit on the legs. Not too baggy or tight however the waist was way off, way too big, probably a 36 waist on the S.

I had to return them.

This product works for me, if it keeps you warm in the snow, it’ll keep you warm anywhere. Going by the size guide I chose 1 size smaller (xl-short) than I normally use. The fit is still comfortable and roomy enough for a base layer.

The Velcro belt makes the final fit exactly what you want. I also like the color, very subdued. I haven’t had a chance to use them in the snow but I tried them on a early morning walk just before sunrise and I was impressed how warm they keep you.

The leg gators work great. The only thing I noticed was the noise it makes as you walk. I guess in the snow or noisy environment it wouldn’t matter. Other than that I am impressed at quality and functionality of this product.

Also the winter sale price was the best part, I was able to get a pair of bugaboo 4 pants also and a second pair of this product 1 size larger. I highly recommend this product.

They’re warmer than my pants but that’s all I can claim. It’s super cold out since I received the snowpants but I expected better, maybe too much. They’re fine though. I can feel a small breeze at times but I can go out for a 30-40 walk in the -20 or so cold and be okay.

I got small and that was probably a mistake. Mediums are usually big on me so I figured I’d go small but now I need to walk around with them top open to not worry about tearing them when I move. Overall, I’m very glad that I got these on special.

Purchased for a trip to Snow Valley and wanted something that would keep me dry and warm. The overall fit of the pants was perfect once I added suspenders. The elastic pant cuffs kept snow out and wind chill while I was in my ski shoes, and any falls I had on the mountains still had the pants looking intact.

My behind didn’t feel uncomfortable whenever I sat down either. No movability issues as far as I can tell. Solid snow pants.

I don’t go to the snow, so why would I buy these? I needed some comfy bicycling pants for the winter season which means rain wind and a bit of cold. Only had them a few days but so far they are amazing.

A but baggy, but I don’t really care. Super comfy, great pockets with zippers. I carry all sorts of stuff with me so that was an important part for me. Have yet to test how water proof they are.

First of all, I’ve been a Burton fan since the 90s. I’m use to pay a bit more for their products but the quality is there so i see it as an investment. It’s been a while since I’ve bought my last pair of Burton pants because the ones I currently own are still good to wear but wayyy too baggy for the current fashion trend.

I’ve decided to refresh my look and bought these pants. Immediately upon opening the box and touching the fabric, I knew something was not quite right. The fabric seems so cheap and does not look like it will pass the test of time and/or rough riding.

I’m kind of disapointed with this purchase because I really like the look but as I’ve said, the quality associated with the Burton brand seems to have vanish on these pants. I can’t and won’t recommend them to anyone sadly.

I ordered and returned a Medium. I’m 5’7 with a 32 waist, the waist was a normal fit, but the length must have been at least a 34 or longer. The front pockets also don’t make any sense. They’re super slim and annoying like tight jeans, but are placed lower down your thigh making it feel super weird to have keys or a small smartphone in there.

Ideal for taller people who like tight jean feeling pockets.

These pants are pretty legit. Love all the compartments they come with, they’re super warm, and have good adjustability. Only thing is, they’re a little tight. I am an xl 34-36 normal pants and these are extremely tight on me.

Granted I put on some weight recently, but still fit 36 in most other pants, so if you are looking to get a pair, I recommend sizing up, as you won’t really make use of the belt/tightening ability when they’re so tight.

That said, I am planning on keeping them and using it as motivation to lose some pounds for next season. But definitely be careful. Luckily evo has easy returns, so buy a size up and if they’re too big send back for the lower size! Great pants though.

love the look and feel.

I don’t know, maybe it’s a Ford/Chevy thing. Ya just find a brand and get comfortable with it. I’m into my second wardrobe, the first being in the 2012 timeframe. I have a Volcom parka that is simply spot on.

So, it was a natural to start with Volcom pants. Every little item from cuff protection to smooth (read: not cargo or expandable) exterior has been incorporated. And, just enough volume to allow for coccyx protection.

Now, if I could only figure out what the sewn in, raised diamond is all about.

Even though these are not insulated, they do feel super warm. Definitely enough space for layering inside. However, the fit isn’t too great. I got myself a small and the waist was very very loose, almost like a 33-34 (when a small ideally is around 30-32 tops).

I feel Volcom’s sizes are inherently larger than any other brand. Great quality though. Zip tech is kinda difficult until you get the hang of it.

Volcom has really seemed to struggle with fit the last few years. I’ve purchased and returned 3 sizes/styles recently, all shared the same issues. I’m 5’5″ and the smalls are at least 3″ too long, I walk on them even with my boots on.

The xs are also long but slightly better in boots. My jeans are all 5/27. The xs fits my waist but is too tight in the thigh to move well or wear long underwear; the s has to have the waist tabs pulled tight which makes the butt saggy, and the velcro on the tabs is scratchy and will damage my long underwear.

Neither size is flattering, just frumpy. I like that they are gore-tex and available in decent colors, I like the pockets on this style, I like that they zip to my jacket (also a disappointing fit); that’s the extent of my likes.

But I also haven’t found anything better. So they are just ok. I’m not sure if I’ll keep them or try to squeeze another year out of my old beat-up pants waiting for something better. Wishing volcom would bring back their “team fit”, technical clothing should be designed to fit the body of actual athletes.

I originally bought the leopard pants because they were legit the cutest things I’ve ever seen. Though being a mama of 4, I do not need hot pants anymore. So I bought the plum color and love them. Not only do they fit like a glove there well constructed and to every detail.

Gore-Tex is the best quality and helps protect you from the cold. All the little details from the inside by the boot cover with the Volcom labeling on the rubber. To the zippers on the cargo outside pockets.

Even though it is a shell the place to liner on the inside to help keep you warm. Zip tech is such a great new technology without having to buy bibs and no longer do you have to worry about snow going down your pants.

Volcom has truly nailed a Quality made gear that will last for years.

For reference: 5’5″ tall, 110lbs, age 41, purchased size medium in seal brown. These pants are perfect. Super warm without restriction of movements. Comfortably my normal pants actual waist measurement laying flat is 32″ and that allows me freedom to move without being overly baggy.

These pants are loose enough to fit a good base layer under. The length is a bit long (more a tall size) but I’m not above rolling them up. Rise is perfect!! Midrise on me. (Normal pant rise actual measurment for me matching this fit is about 9″) Thank goodness someone is still making pants that i don’t feel like I have to give a neck size in place of a waist size! I loathe high waist fitting pants.

Well built and designed. I’m definitely ordering more.

These pants are not totally waterproof. At first I was stoked about the leg vents but I took these out for a twilight ski at Snoqualmie pass (think rainy slushy snow) I only boarded for 4 hours because I was soaked.

I first noticed water seeping in at the leg vent zippers and gradually I started to feel the water permeate the lap of the pants (probs a lot of it was runoff from my jacket which was really soaked) if you ride where it’s dry you might not have a problem and I’ll probs treat them for additional waterproofing but I was disappointed for GORE-TEX! A note on the sizing, I was glad I went to the store to try these on because I would have gotten the wrong size otherwise.

The fit is flattering and I could still bend, squat, carve, shred. all the important stuff. I went with an XS because the small even with layers would have been too big. I layer with a tight base layer and a pair of fleece pants under that.

And I still had room. I am 5, 5 short legs, long torso athletic build w/ a big booty and about 115 lbs. on a warm day w/out layers the small would not have stayed on me, it went half way down my seat on the squat test in the fitting room.

The Velcro adjusters are a great addition.

I love that these snow pants are insulated because it keeps me warm on the slopes but not too warm. My only complaint is that the fit is very strange. I am typically Medium and I ordered a Medium in these.

The legs are super slim / tight on my thighs and they are very loose in the butt and waist area. I tightened them as much as possible and they still kind of fall down at the waist which is kind of annoying.

I don’t have big thighs and a super small butt / waist so I’m not sure how these snow pants are fitting anyone else. Otherwise, I like them. The folkstone gray color is fun.

Prior to buying these Karbon pants, I purchased pants from Descente (my favorite brand) and Obermeyer. The pants from Descente and Obermeyer didn’t fit me well. on the 32/Medium, the waist fit well but it was too tight through the seat/hips which is not the case when I buy regular pants (I’m a fit 6’0″, 185 lbs).

The size 34/Large in both brands was way too big. The Karbon pants size Medium had just a bit more room through the seat/hips so I kept those. Used them skiing last weekend and they worked great. Low 30s weather.

They would have been fine for anything 20-37 degrees. They are very high quality for the price — good materials and construction. I didn’t know Karbon brand before but am now a fan.

These are the best ski pants I’ve found in the $150 range thanks to Peter Glenn discount. A but warmer than the North Face equivalent. Large size is a good fit for me at 6’1” 190 lbs . Recommended.

These pants look good, fit well without being too baggy, and have enough insulation to take the edge off the cold lift seat on frigid days. I just wish they had a back or thigh pocket for my wallet and maybe a higher waterproof/breathability rating.

But I lie them, am happy with my purchase, and would buy them again.

Love! Super cute Roxy snow bibs. Comfortable soft shimmer straps, tight fitting through the butt and legs to a flare boot cut. These are tight fitted. I am a true medium and would probably size up if I wanted to wear thick thermals underneath.

I got a medium and I’m 5’9 138lbs. I could’ve gotten away with the large as well. Would recommend!!.

The color is beautiful, it’s kinda purplish pink. Size S fits perfect with guards inside. I’m 166cm and 49kg and I enjoy a little bit looser looks. The zipper on the side is quite long so it’s very convenient to use the washroom which is probably the most concern with wearing a bib.

was a good pair of bibs. i really like ones with a kangaroo pocket. the pair I received though didn’t have a satisfying click on the left side, but it clicked loudly on the right side. upon some gentle usage, the left side surely came off multiple times.

i returned it, before the problem surely will get worse. i like this brand, so i hope its just the 1 item i received. i like the fit, I bought some other brands around this time, and Jones fit better.

But flylow fit worse than airblaster. see my photos though, i have weird body proportions.

This Airblaster bib is fantastic. Has many pockets, fabric feels nice. Was snowing on a pow day, barely got wet on my knees. As a snowboarder I can say that this bib flexes great for jumping, jibbing, or just cruising around.

There’s a hook on the bottom of the pant leg that hooks on to your lace as a powder skirt which is beyond awesome. Recommend checking it out in store if possible.

I was so certain these pants were going to be perfect for skiing that I went so far as to have them hemmed by a gore certified seamstress. Unfortunately, on my second time wearing them at the resort, I soaked right through at the thighs (nowhere near where the seamstress adjusted them for length but they are now altered and not returnable).

I was skiing a heavier snow kind of day, where the snow that was falling on my lap was melting quickly on the chair rides, but that’s exactly what I was buying these for. I have three kids, all outfitted in Patagonia H2nO fabric, and they have never had an issue, even in the wet down pour ski days, so I thought I would be ok with these.

The only thing I can think is that because the kids gear is insulated, maybe they have more to soak through and it never gets to their base layer?! My base layer was wet after two hours and because of that I got cold.

I’m disappointed that for this amount of money, I would be wet right through. I have always gone for goretex but thought I’d give this material a try. big mistake. I think I will have to bring them back to the seamstress to see if she can secure some goretex patches on the inside at the thigh.

I would not buy these again unless they were goretex. As far as the fit, they are great. Once the seamstress shortened them, they were fantastic. They fit over my ski boots nicely, and the pockets are perfect.

I also really like the side zips for using the washroom. But unfortunately, soaking through is the worse in snow sports, and I would most certainly not recommend these on that basis.

After a ton of research, I got these pants for a mix of resort and backcountry use. The fabric is amazingly waterproof and felt light and breathable. The downside is that after only 3 runs of resort skiing, the fabric at the boot buckle developed small rips from doing up the buckles without lifting the fabric.

My previous pants had none of these issues doing the same thing after 5 years of hard skiing. The staff at the Patagonia shop offered to send it off for a large patch to cover the area (6-8 week process).

Unfortunately, the bigger issue was the fit. The size large fit well in the legs, but was uncomfortably tight around the waist/ chest when bending into an active skiing position or on the chairlift, even with only a base layer underneath.

This fit is strange since like most active skiers I have solid legs and a ‘normal’ size torso (i. e. 33-34″ waist). Note that a size large jacket was way too big. How could that combo ever work? Unfortunately, the tight upper part of the bib was too uncomfortable to ski in, and with the rips in the fabric I can’t return/ exchange them, so I’m left in an unfortunate position.

So I got a pair of these in 2020 prior to the 2020/2021 season. Wore them for about 35 days and they were comfortable and performed well. Fast forward to the 21/22 season and the side zipper broke around day 3.

so lets say they lasted for 38 days of skiing. Brought them to the Patagonia shop at Palisades and the manager destroyed the zipper trying to “fix” them. After he completely destroyed the pants he then informed me I had to go online and ship them to the repair center myself.

Lame. I sent them in and am now waiting for them to come back in approximately 12 weeks. I am guessing the ski season will be over for me in April so I might use them in 22/23? Prior to these pants I had 2 pairs of the powderbowl Gore-Tex pants that failed as well.

So in summary I have to say that I am underwhelmed by Patagonia Ski Pants and that I will be looking elsewhere in the future. I have some old ArcTeryx pants that are about 15 years old with probably 300 days of skiing and they are still kicking butt so I know pants can be better than what I purchased.

The pants have a large tooth plastic zipper that failed on mine, I don’t know what is driving the use of such a zipper but it is junk. my guess it it costs less, it certainly looks cheap. Buyer Beware.

Just tried these out for 3 days on the mountain, shredding all day. I actually bought both this and the regular Avalon, but chose to wear this for the gore-tex as it was snowing. The regular Avalon fits closer to the body but that’s how it’s advertised, while the gore-tex fits regular.

Other people have mentioned problems with the buttons on the sides coming undone and the zippers unzipping, but I never once had this problem, and I’m a curvy gal. I fall often, so I was up and down, squatting and bending, and never had one button pop or a zipper drop.

The two zippers on the sides made it easy to pee, so you never have to undo the straps. So easy to go to the bathroom, in and out. I never once noticed I was wearing it, which is the highest praise I can give.

I had one layer of smartwool underneath as it was in the 20’s (this bib is a shell) and I was crazy comfortable the entire time. Never got wet, never had snow get inside, never had to adjust anything I was wearing.

It has real long legs though, but I’m not tall, and with the snowboard boots they never dragged. I also have a long torso, and was concerned it would be too short for my body, but it fit me just fine.

The straps on the top would loosen just a bit by the end of the day, but never enough for it to be a problem for me. The pockets could be improved. The pocket on the chest is the only one with a zipper.

the pockets at the legs in front are pretty deep but even so I just held chapstick in there. I wouldn’t trust money or cards in those. The ones on the butt don’t have zippers either, not trustworthy to hold anything really.

All in all, I was really happy with this bib, would definitely recommend!.

For a frame of reference, I am 5’4 and weigh 135 lbs. I have a thicker lower body and slimmer/shorter torso upper body. I took this snowboarding in Wyoming in -10 to 20 degree F weather. It was extremely cold outside.

I wore 2 base layer leggings on the bottom and 2 base and 1 midlayer on upper, not including jacket. Now to the product. This is more true to size compared to the Burton Avalon bib, so I ordered a small.

With all the layers, the bottom part felt tighter than what I prefer but I like things loose. Compared to the Bison reference picture (because I also have the color which is pretty accurate), the bottom was not as baggy looking as hers.

So I would say this is true to size, but if you want it baggier, size up. The torso didn’t feel long enough, even with my short torso. Even though the straps are adjustable, the fit still felt weird.

If you loosened the straps to prevent the pelvic area from being too tight, the top part felt too low. The straps are also too weak. It wouldn’t stay where I would keep it. The fabric was just too weak and slick to be the strap holding up the entire bib to your body.

The buttons and zippers on the sides kept failing. I would have to pull up my jacket to zip them back up. It could have to do with the layers and tighter fit, or maybe they just didn’t work well. But I pretty much couldn’t do a squat without them failing.

Again it could’ve been the tighter fit but who knows. I didn’t notice the cold at all, so the Goretex and wind resistance did its job. But also when I’m moving I don’t notice the cold, so that could be why I think that.

It is not insulated. That’s important to know if you have other gear that is. The bib is basically a shell, so don’t rely too much on it for warmth. The fabric was breathable and light. It didn’t weight me down.

It didn’t make weird sounds when I moved. There was a lack of pockets. There is that large zippered one on the chest which is the only one I felt comfortable using. There is 1 Velcro pocket on each butt cheek which I don’t consider useful, anything can still be lost or squished.

There is 1 deep fleece lined pocket on each leg that can’t close. Again not useful because anything can get lost if you’re moving around. Also if it’s cold, you’re not going to take off your gloves to put them into those pockets? I just don’t trust the pockets.

With any bib, it is difficult to use the bathroom, no matter how you spin it. The downside of all bibs. The straps crossing each other in the back are not permanently connected. They are held together similarly how a belt goes through a belt loop.

So if you unbuckle one or both, you can expect the straps to separate, and it was a hassle trying to fix them with a bunch of winter gear on. This review could’ve been different if I sized up or the temperature outside was warmer.

The fit was just a little too tight, but still room to move, which could’ve messed up with buttons/zippers, the shortness of the torso, and all the baselayers? I think the zippers still would’ve fallen down regardless if I sized up.

They don’t seem that strong. Overall, I’m satisfied with how much I paid for it (not full price) and its effectiveness. But I probably wouldn’t be satisfied with it if I paid full price and using every day.

I probably wouldn’t use this on the mountain every day without some adjustments. And there’s my story.

I find this a lot with burton clothing, but its not made for an athletic build (weird right?). I have athletic thighs and a bit of a bum and the medium was tight on the thighs (I wear a 6 normally). I think it would be fine for a skier but as a snowboarder I think we bend more and it just wasn’t comfy.

Also they seem to think a medium means you’ve got a belly, and there was just a lot of excess fabric bunched around the midsection and into the crotch which would have felt weird, maybe if I was taller or they fell properly on the legs it would have pulled it taught? Who knows, either way I felt uncomfortable in them.

Also the velcro pockets on the back would suck if you had to sit in the snow and adjust something or just go through some decent powder (velcro makes snow clumps) and the front pockets were open/not zipped so things could fall out in the front.

And the pockets are lined with some sort of faux fleece which, because they are just open pockets, when they get snow in them you’ll get icey clumps. Not a lot of product thought IMO. The colour was great (dress blue) and they were warm, I spent 10 minutes in my 23 degree garage and was adjusting them to see how the fit was and I got adequately warm.

So if you’re thin and tall and dont fall/sit down then these might be ideal but for average/athletic women I’d say steer clear.
