20 Best Sniper Ghost Recon Breakpoint (2023 Updated)

I bought this right when they released the update for adding in AI teammates (something they removed when they jumped from Wildlands to Breakpoint for whatever reason) about a year after release. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I got the Sentinel Corps Pack, which I understood to be a Day One exclusive.

For actual gameplay, I thought that I wouldn’t like the gear levels at all, but I decided to give it a try and it is growing on me. Leveling up for gear is pretty quick, but for actual game levels it’s about what I think it should be.

You don’t get experience points from marking enemies or shutting off the generators (unlike Wildlands), so you’re not flying through in game levels. As a reference, I have been playing for roughly 12 hours and am at gear level 100 and in game level 18.

The AI teammates are pretty useful for the harder bases and enemies, though I do like that they added the ability to turn them off just in case I want to roam on my own. For my gripe, I have noticed that it keeps popping up saying that I’m connected to the Ubisoft servers, but I don’t notice any gameplay interruptions.

It’s an online only game (doesn’t need to be because of the game style it is but whatever Ubisoft), but it doesn’t kick me off whenever the message pops up. So I have no clue what it’s for or what it’s actually doing.

I hadn’t played Wildlands at the time of writing this review, so I have no experience with Ghost Recon since playing Future Soldier on the Xbox 360. Breakpoint is fun and has a plethora of options for customizing gameplay, but it apparently didn’t have any of this at launch.

It’s also kind of unforgiveable for a stealth game to not include basic distraction mechanics like throwing empty magazines (or in this game’s case, empty shell casings) at launch. However, the world this game is set in is very immersive and beautiful even on console.

I prefer using the resolution mode on my Xbox One X because the graphics mode has issues with frame rates, but the game looks and plays very nice even at 30 fps. I hope to try it on a Series X someday at 60 fps.

This game has a lot of parts and pieces to it. While different and a deviation from Wildlands’ design, it does incorporate the gear system fairly well. The missions are varied and the gameplay is fun.

Haven’t done pvp yet due to running around in the open sand box world and just seeing what I can do. While the challenges for each class are fun to complete and level up, they really don’t have much impact on gameplay.

Where they will probably make the biggest difference is in coop play, especially considering everyone can use any weapon. The survival aspect seems dumbed down from the initial pitch. You don’t really need your canteen if you manage your stamina, and injuries don’t become serious unless you have a critical one that restricts your health bar or if really critical, you won’t be able to use anything but your sidearm/handgun.

This is because you have unlimited bandages and a regenerative health system. There are also perks that allow for quicker regen and higher resistance to injury, making you a considerable tank. Overall, the sniping, gunplay, etc.

is fun. Wish there was a little more customization, but there’s enough to make a difference between weapons.

There is alot to do but about a third of the way through it gets repetitive. Many of the side missions lack variation. And about halfway through the story missions the cracks begin to show in mission design.

Also the game sports many bugs ranging from amusing to downright annoying. On the plus side, the setting provides a breath of fresh air. It has a vast open world with plenty of things to keep players occupied, and has beautiful scenery that can be explored through multiple land, sea, and air vehicles.

The open world allows players to choose which approach to take with certain missions. Will you go in guns blazing, leaving a trail of cartel members in your wake? Or will you scout out the area, taking enemies out slowly and quietly, without them even knowing you were there? In most cases, how you tackle an an objective is up to you.

The game is meant to be played with up to three friends online, but for those who prefer a solo experience, three AI companions will join the player. Though not perfect, the AI squadmates are far more competent than those seen in games like COD and Battlefield.

All in all, the game is pretty solid for those who are looking for an open world and responsive shooter experience.

The Division even the upcoming second The Division (should be modeled after this game) by NOT being online required in a open world setting. I mention this in a Wildlands review because Ubisoft doesn’t do that bad a job with Tom Clancy games, it is just when online required is involved.

Now to the Wildlands review: First thing I’ll say about the actual gameplay, is that I love it. I’ve always liked third person games, but tend to prefer first person aiming. Third person is great for running around, and being able to see where you are in relation to obstacles and hazards.

It can be difficult sometimes to determine this in first person games. First person aiming is better because it’s more like lining up a real sight picture, right down the sights. Wildlands does exactly this.

I really would’ve preferred to have the ability to jump, rather than climb only, but once you get used to that limitation, it’s not as noticeable. I found driving vehicles to be very fun, and each different vehicle feels, different.

Different acceleration, different speeds, different handling… different. Driving also changes if you’ve got a blown tire, or two, or three, or four. With updates, the helicopters have become fun to fly now too.

The original set up was odd and quirky to figure out. The updated handling is exactly what I’ve come to expect from years of playing games with helicopters in them. Much more intuitive and manageable.

And once you figure out how to avoid the SAM sites, it’s no problem. Mostly. You WILL get shot down from time to time. Motorcycles are great fun, but be aware that if you are going full speed and hit something, you will get thrown off the bike and you will die.

While the vehicles overall feel very real, you can drive a car off of a hundred foot cliff and land with no damage to yourself, and very little to the car. A minor gripe, really. There are fast travel points, but with as much fun as it is to navigate the landscape, I found myself rarely using them.

I may be in the minority with this, but for me, sometimes the journey is as fun as the destination. The missions have a variety of different goals. From stealth infiltration and kidnapping to outright assault and mayhem.

There are some missions that are repeated (interrogating enemies for intel, as an example) but I don’t feel like it’s any worse than any other typical game. I found all of the activities to be fun, fitting to the story and setting, and never once felt bored while doing them, even if it was repeatedly.

Part of the reason I think I never got bored, is that you can do missions in a ‘do what you want, when you want, how you want’ kind of way. Just because you are kidnapping an enemy Lieutenant for the second or third time, doesn’t mean you can’t do it in a different way.

Take a truck, stuff him in the trunk of a car, or evac in a helicopter. It’s up to you. That kind of flexibility is absolutely a blast. Planning the mission is just as big of a part as execution of the mission.

Recon the area and make your own plan on how you think you can best accomplish your goal. Or how you think you’ll enjoy it more. Snipe people from a distance, distract the enemies with a flare while you sneak in, find a back way in to the compound taking out lights and sticking to the shadows, or charge right in guns-a-blazing.

Disable the alarms and fire as few shots as necessary or let them call in back up to get a proper firefight going. If you aren’t having fun playing this, it’s your own fault, and you just aren’t trying.

The game is not short, but I definitely found myself wanting more, when it was over. Really more of a sign of how much I enjoyed the game rather than feeling like I wasn’t getting a full experience. While there isn’t a “New Game +” mode (starting over will reset your accomplishments, skills, and gear) you can replay any completed missions, at any time.

When I wanted to replay the game, I just replayed the missions one after the other, and since there is no ‘correct’ order to completing the different regions the first time through, you can do them in whatever order you please the second or third time as well.

The main reasons FarCry games are fun for me, are the large maps and sandbox type ‘go anywhere, do anything’ style of gameplay, along with the ability to approach missions in a manner of your choosing.

There is a goal, but how you get there, which direction you approach from, etc. are up to you. The main reasons that Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 was a decent TC shooters was the character and weapon customizing ability and fun gameplay.

I really don’t care much at all about online PvP gameplay. The Division and Rainbow Six: Siege did very little for me, plus story means more to me than online gaming does. With Wildlands not only do I get full online co-op campaign, but you can have multiple people join the game.

Unlike the FarCry online gameplay, there isn’t a limit to the distance between players. You can be on completely different sides of the map, fast travel independently of one another, and even complete different goals at the same time.

Just another way that you can assess the situation and attack the game how you please. Wildlands took everything I love about R6:V2 and FC games and combined them. If someone had asked me what I would want from a Ghost Recon game, this is it.

Aside from a few minor gripes, this game is about as perfect of a game as I could’ve expected it to be. With weekly challenges you get a little more content here and there, and extra rewards just for playing the game.

Even aside from rewards for weekly challenges, I foresee myself playing this game for a very long time to come. I hope that any future installments emulate and add to the gameplay and style of this spectacular title, and don’t take steps backward.

I have been a Fan of Tom Clancy style of games for a while. I knew going into this it would not be Rainbow six or Rainbow six vegas but, that is the type of feel I was expecting after the news of the cancelled rainbow six patriots, and they were concentrating efforts on Siege which was not good as advertised.

My pros for game:1. Open world interaction style of game where you chose pace of missions and how your team should go in and attack mission but some become vey generic and high risk for little reward.

2. Yes it is cool friends can squad up with you vs. NPC’s which can either mess up a sneak attack or force you to make a move you don’t want to do because you hit the wrong button lol! ( I Will get into this in a minute) 3.

Weapons and custom them to your own needs and likes galore! Cons: 1. The open world can send you into missions you are not ready for or mess up the storyline a bit if your team is not equipped or ready yet because those UNIDAD soldiers will pop out of nowhere and go all SWAT team GTA style on you quick when you are trying to plot a mission or a NPC on your squad will pop off at the wrong time and bingo you are in a fire fight.

2. Getting back to my title I was disappointed that they did not add the elements of Siege and Rainbow six Vegas of having your team of having the option to stack up on certain doors blast it open and use a under the door camera to peak in or remote camera to check hard to reach places while you engage from another door.

I tried on a couple of side missions but NPC wait until you are near dead to come in and fight while you look for info or hack into computers for intel. 3. The buttons get a little tricky to cycle through when you are giving commands on that wheel thing and for the options of throwing a lethal weapon and using different options on your gun gets interesting, 4.

As much as I like the custom mod guns, some of them you cannot mod which is stupid because why even give me that gun then lol! Fight a cartel boss and see what I am talking about. 5. The AI enemy will annoy of how fast they come out of nowhere to support or will be dumb as nails where they are right next to you and not see you.

I could go on but I think you get the picture lol! Game fly this, play at your friend house first or hey try it at RED box before you buy! Good luck everyone!.

I was pretty excited for this game and my expectations were pretty high i am not going to lie. I should also say that with all the excitement and expectation I was still on the fence. I mean i was really going to wait until thanksgiving to purchase this game.

and I should have went with that feeling. The game has TOO MANY glitches to list on this review. At times these glitches are enough to stop playing. But some are just funny to see happen. The game play is sort of repetitive but if you like the idea of stealth and taking over post while exercising your inner splinter cell, then this game is for you.

The Map is huge and that is sort of bad and good. Good that we have endless options and hours of game play. Bad. if you have ADHD and can’t focus getting from pint A to B. There are a lot of baddies trying to take you out on the road and in the forest.

But this could be fun, so much fun that you forgot that you had an obective to complete Haha. There are just TOO MANY enemies every where. Like I said the Map is large, and I feel that the graphics suffer a TOO much from this.

I am not a techy kinda guy, but if you play the game you’ll see what i am talking about. I guess the frame rate is a little glitchy? IDK!! For an XBOX HDR Game I expected HDR quality on my 4K TV, just like The latest Tomb Raider game.

The sound in th game sounds very Muddy. The guns don’t sound right and TOO MANY times i hear the enemy thinking he is near by, when in fact he is over the other side of the hill. The sound detection is WAAAYYYY Off.

The Game is fun to play if you could see past the graphics,the sound, plus the many glitches. But I would wait for a Black Friday Deal or some sort of other sale before purchasing this game. ***Notorious Glitch: Not being able to Mark enemies using Gun, or Drone.

If you do find your self in this Glitch Just Unplug your XBOX One, and then plug it back in. (This is Clearing the Cache)***.

Great tactical shooting game! The game is not perfect there are still a few glitches even a few years on since its release but by far one of the best of the series, which I am a fan of and in general I like the ubisoft style of game.

You can wonder the open world alone ,with a computer controlled team or join up with real life online friends to do battle. Explore and have fun,shooting and blowing things up along the way that’s what this game is about.

After being a massive fan of wildlands I couldn’t wait to get this but I was utterly disappointed. Graphics are amazing but the gameplay is awful. You spend too much time in a slow over complicated menu system constantly changing your gear to increase your level and trying to find your next mission.

I want to make my character look how I want him to, why should I keep changing my hat or helmet or gloves or shoes just to increase my level?? Ridiculous idea. The gameplay itself isn’t very good either.

Right from the start it’s a struggle to camp on a hill and pick people off 1 by 1. It’s just not a good game to play. Long boring unnecessary cuts scenes and your character even changes his clothes back to default setting on the cut scenes so why bother changing anything? 2 stars purely for graphics.

To be fair this game is a massive improvement over the first 2 parts of this, so far, Trilogy! The gameplay was way too short on those but this game seems to have addressed this issue quite firmly!! I found the game to be a bit Glitchy/Buggy to be honest as it stopped dead more than a few times while i was getting into it.

All the updates for this game have been actioned but still this persists. Quite annoying when you have been on it for 3 hours and it cuts out without you saving. Ggggrrrrrr!!! Graphics aren’t the best, but not the worst either, we expect more these days from a full on, current Games console Video Game but this is not it! Bad points over! The gameplay, as mentioned earlier, is a lot better than the earlier installments with plenty more to collect, upgrade etc.

It has been done better (Ghost Recon Wildlands etc) but all in all a solid 4 stars i think. These are my own opinions and, as always, should probably be taken with a pinch of salt!! Each to their own and some may find this a great game or a stinking turd, whatever!! These are my views and i am in no way associated with this product on any level!!.

Sniper ghost warrior 3 (SGW3) involves open world missions, assassination and resource collection. Very similar to Far Cry Primal, using your drone instead of the owl for reconnaissance. Missions are assigned, ammunition and equipment allocated from your safe house.

Fast travel points hasten the movement throughout the Georgia region. Although I purchased from Germany, the game language is associated with your Steam locale. The 34gb steam patch hasn’t fixed the ladder climbing bug though.

The developers announced that it will be rectified. Altogether, a thoroughly involving adventure packed tactical shooter with magnificent graphics and entirely compelling story line providing hours of sleepless nights! 8/10.

These games have ratings for a reason. This game has a whole lot of F bombs and cussing in it. Typical real life military talk. Not good for kids parents. Sniper Elite 4 is a great sniping game for your kid wanting a sniper game.

Little if any cussing. Graphic “Kill Cam” showing bullet damage through the body can be turned off in Sniper Elite. Kudos to then for giving the option to turn off the gore and having little if any cussing.

This game in the other hand. if your kids start cussing up a storm. you’ll know why. In all fairness, you can turn off all the dialogue so you don’t heat them speaking, but then you miss them talking about mission goals and such.

Bottom line, great game if they could just eliminate the cussing. I’m selling my copy to am adult. I’m not a “sally”, but try to keep my own language clean to be the better example to those around me.

That’s just me though.

It takes a great deal of patience to play this game. The graphics are good and contains a lot of detail with regard to getting your hit. Takes into consideration the height of the target, wind speed and direction, distance etc which makes getting a head shot so much more satisfying.

The maps are HUGE and go on forever. The challenges are testing to complete and contains some hacking which is a big part of our society these days. The only real downside is that the glitches are a bit annoying.

You’ll jump on a water tank and suddenly get stuck in mid air, but if you swap your gun then it frees you. Hiding places are good but they get glitchy sometimes, especially when hiding in tubes. FYI don’t shoot the brutes with their machine guns.

Gas them, you’ll only raise the alarm if you try and shoot. It’s a bit frustrating if you need some ammo and you’re surrounded by ammo boxes but you can’t get any. Seems a bit silly. Overall its a really good game.

But if you’re into run in and shoot, exciting, fast paced games then this def isn’t for you. I like both and I really like a challenge. So when I get a bit frustrated, I just put some COD on (cold war is SICK btw) and then come back.

My head shots on that have got a lot better due to Sniper.

If you’re looking for a game that you can just put in and start playing, this is not it. Part of the success of Hitman (which this game seems to want to emulate in certain ways) is that they don’t make you jump through a bunch of tiny hoops and learn a bunch of convoluted minutia before they allow you to play the game.

This game will not allow you to play it, until you reach a skill level that is not needed to play the game. Everybody doesn’t have that kind of time. or patience, just to play a game. And why not let the player learn some things the hard way, and if they want to get better, then they can go to school if need be.

Most people just want to explore when they first get a game like this. Nobody wants to have to start putting in time training before they can even see the game. Mine ended up in the trash. And I will never buy another CI game, because they made me waste my money.

This game is far superior than the first. The first contracts game has no red dot aim helper which made shooting your targets very very very difficult and frustrating. This second contracts game has that red dot and makes playing so much more enjoyable.

Graphics are amazing and the weapons handle so smooth. If you like the Sniper Ghost Warrior series and the Sniper Elite series then you will like this also.

The game simply is one of the best games I’ve played. I was not fond of shooting games but this one I just can’t pass up. The third person view helped with that, but there is no option for first person for those who like FPS games.

I love the open world setting, the map is huge, lots of bases take over and cities/towns to explore. The game also has lots of collectibles which is a plus for looter-shooter fanatics. There are lots of main missions with varying degrees of difficulty along with side mission in every district.

The game keeps on updating with new mission and gear. You can also customize you character’s appearance along with the different paints and patterns and upgrades for guns. You can approach the game in almost anyway you like, you can jump from a chopper and go guns blazing or be stealthy using sniper rifles with synchronized shooting with your 3 AI buddies, it’s totally up to you.

Co-op is optional and fun. Also, Predator is here! And Punisher actor guy. Only thing I don’t like is that you cannot climb all obstacles or rocks which will sometimes get you stuck in between rocks, other than that the game is perfect!.

Wii owners have largely been left out of the Tom Clancy shenanigans this console generation. While the Gamecube eventually saw ports of a number of Clancy titles, motion control just hasn’t been in the cards for the military themed franchise.

Wii gamers had hoped that might change with the announcement of Ghost Recon earlier this year, but in the interest of saving everyone time and trouble, you’ll be waiting a while still. Much like the dismal port-in-name-only of HAWX 2 earlier this month, the Wii version of Ghost Recon feels like a cynical attempt to capitalize on the Ghost Recon name with a game that bears little resemblance to a decent game, much less one of Ubisoft’s flagship shooters.

This game is alot of fun once you get the hang of it. The learning curve is really steep since it’s not a typical fps type game. The storyline is very engaging and realistic. It’s strikingly similar to the Russian-Georgian war from a handful of years back interestingly enough.

Good game overall, just takes time to figure out.

One of the better older shooter games out there, good effects and fun to play. Not a long term game unless you enjoy playing online against others. Myself don’t care for online play. UBI Soft Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon (Nintendo Wii).
