The short answer is that sneakers for treadmill walking are designed to provide extra support and stability while you are walking on a treadmill. However, there are a few things to keep in mind when choosing the right pair of sneakers for your treadmill walking routine.
First, consider the type of treadmill you will be using. If you have a manual treadmill, you will want to choose a sneaker with a good grip to prevent slipping. If you have an electronic treadmill, you may want to choose a sneaker with more cushioning to protect your feet from the impact of the moving belt.
Second, think about the type of surface you will be walking on. If you are walking on a carpeted surface, you will want to choose a sneaker with a softer sole to prevent your feet from slipping. If you are walking on a hard surface, you will want to choose a sneaker with a firmer sole to provide more support.
Third, consider your own personal preferences. Some people prefer a sneaker with more support, while others prefer a sneaker with more cushioning. You will need to experiment to find the right sneaker for you.
Finally, make sure you buy a sneaker that is comfortable and fits well. You will be spending a lot of time in your sneakers, so you want to make sure they are comfortable. If you are buying sneakers online, be sure to read the sizing information carefully to make sure you are ordering the right size.

I have been wearing 928 V3s now for a few years when not at work. I find the shoes fit well, are comfortable, functional and reasonably attractive in any setting. They feel great no matter what I am doing.
(Walking around town, working on my boat or car, going for nature hike, or just hanging out at home. ) I like the padding because it makes it easy to stand for long periods of time. (I have a standing desk at home, and there are times when I am standing at the desk for 8-12 hours a day, which is less appealing in a less comfortable pair of shoes.
) I don’t really use them anymore for anything “athletic,” but I used to wear them at the gym. All the 928s that I have bought over the years last a long time, even if they begin to look a little ratty.
(When they start getting really dirty, I use them for dirtier activities. ) I keep an extra pair in my car so that if I want to change out of more “formal” shoes after work, I can do that easily. The soles also have the right balance between soft and durable.
I started buying 928s after the New Balance/Sperry boat shoe was discontinued. (To this day, I think the New Balance/Sperry model boat shoe is my favorite, though the soles wore down quickly because the rubber was so soft.
) Because of what I presume were supply chain problems couldn’t find 928s in the blueish/gray color in my size for 2 months. I checked the New Balance website daily, sometimes twice a day. When they were finally available in my size and color, I pounced.
(I was going to buy 2 pairs anyway, but as I was making the purchase the website said there were only two pairs left, so I didn’t buy some other items I was thinking of buying out of fear that someone else might beat me to the last two pair in my size.
Previous to these shoes, I have been wearing the MW813 walking shoe for several years and was disappointed by the poor life and performance of PU-Leather (plastic leather substitute) used for the entire upper of the 813.
I was pleased to find that the MW928 v3 had leather uppers and foot bed style of the well fitting 813 while improving comfort and durability. The 928 v3 is a comfortable shoe and supports well while walking on streets and other paved surfaces.
It felt “broken in” from first use. Seems true to size. Due to the flat sole design I would not recommend it for trail use. It is a nicely styled lace-up, and will work with “business casual” in most cases as an all-day shoe.
Since the uppers are leather they can be kept smart-looking with a little shoe polish, something that doesn’t work with PU-Leather shoes. Soles have reasonable wet grip on moderately smooth surfaces.
Not sure of sole wear since they are new to me. One issue I had with them were the extra long shoe laces they came with. Although many modern synthetic laces stretch with time, these were so long I had to cut 10″ off them to keep the ends from dragging on the ground and tripping myself be stepping on them after my first walk.
It appears that a 44″ lace would be much better. Cost is considerably higher than the MW813, but if they wear better, the higher price will be worth it.
I am an old guy and I wanted a pair of good quality, solid footware that would give me good support and slip resistance for simply walking and doing light chores. I had a pair of shoes that met most of these goals but I was getting sick and tired of having to constantly worry about loose shoe laces not only because of the inconvenience they presented but, more importantly, because of the tripping threat.
When you are my age you don’t want to add to your chances of falling. I found what I was looking for on line. I had already looked for similar shoes in several stores but couldn’t find them. These New Balance shoes fit great and had everything I was looking for.
And, I especially liked the set up with the Velcro straps that can be trimmed to avoid catching on things. I put a little polish on them and they buffed up nice. They may not be the flashiest shoes I ever owned but they are solid footware for guys like me.

I purchased these in my “regular” size – 10W. Am very thankful QVC seems to have great shoes in sizes for people with larger and wider feet. I tried this shoe because I have metatarsus adductus – c-curved feet.
It was never corrected when I was a child and I only discovered the issue after I went to a podiatrist. Typically finding supportive, fashionable shoes is a royal annoyance. I have to wear custom orthotics.
Saw these and thought I would give them a try. As I was working out in them the big toe on my left foot kept bumping into the front of the shoe–hmmm. too small. But I liked all the other aspects of fit and comfort.
Sooooooooo I decided to try another pair in a 1/2 size larger. PERFECT workout shoe! I’m keeping both pairs. So if you are like me consider sizing up a 1/2 size in these. Other than that I have never had such a comfortable supportive shoe that fits my custom orthotics beautifully! Thank you, GDEFY!!! Now if you only made shoes other than athletic ones with the same support comfort.
I rarely write reviews but use them myself extensively, so I really have to submit one about these shoes. I have high arches and always get arch pain and other foot problems when walking. Not with these.
These are by far the most supportive and comfortable walking shoes (including sneakers and hiking boots!) I have ever worn. They provide several different orthotic inserts that you can try separately or put them all together, and this is the key.
You must try the different variations to get just the right fit and level of support you are looking for (read the instructions!). I ended up using all of the orthotics together and do not get the heal pain from walking that I would always get from other shoes (even Keen hiking boots, which I love, and Skechers Archfits, which I also love).
I have been looking for some good athletic shoes for a while due to planter and other feet issues. To go grocery shopping, etc is very painful. Standing in one spot for longer than a few seconds makes my feet hurt.
They feel like I am standing on bone with no padding. A friend bought these and after checking them out, I decided to give them a try. So glad I did. First they have a lot of support on the bottom, where my feet aren’t even close to the floor.
Then they include two inserts for added padding. I wore them shopping and they make all the difference in the world. Finally a shoe that is “cushy” enough to keep my sensitive feet from hurting. Highly recommend!.
The Mw669 by New Balance is more supportive than your average shoe. This shoe is perfect for people with an active style. Whether your life involves walking, jogging, or being on your feet frequently, this shoe will support you.
Robust synthetic combines with heavy-duty rubber sole to ensure a long lifespan for your favorite everyday-wear shoes. Built to support and cushion your feet all day long, their strategically engineered design with extra comfort assures you that no matter what the day throws at you, you can take it and keep going.
I wish they still made these in a variety of colors. I would buy 2 pair now. They are among the most comfortable shoes I have worn. I have 4E width feet and these are wonderful. I just got the X-Wide.
I don’t believe they are actually wide enough, but have broken in over the past year or so. I hope they begin making them again. I cannot find a pair that fits like these. New Balance has gone downhill since I have been wearing them (15-20 years) I was once able to count on the fit being great.
Now I have to try them on and walk around for a few minutes to find a pair that fits close enough. All that said, these are great. Too bad everyone’s feet are differently shaped I guess. They might be a nightmare for you, but if you are size 12 4E they should do the trick.
For the past year or more they have apparently stopped making them in different colors. Now only brown and I don’t want that color or the material I’m pretty sure they are made with. Other colors are made with different material.
New Balance is going to loose business from me in the future. Get your stuff together NB! You once made excellent 4E shoes.
The appearance of the shoe suggested good quality to me. I wear a 10. 5 4E shoe. I currently wear the 990 v5 in this size. However, I wanted a brown shoe and made an online purchase of the 669 v2. I found the 669 v2 to feel a bit narrower than the 990.
The outside measurement of the 990 v5 sole is slightly wider than the 669 v2, which may add to the overall comfort of the 990. Before returning the shoes, I checked with our factory store to see if they had the 993, assuming that staying in the 990 line I might find the same comfort.
I called the factory store and they said they had those shoes, in my size. About a week later I drove the 60 miles to the store to find that the 990’s and the 993’s were taken off the shelf for some reason and were not available.
So at this moment, I wear an old pair of 990’s that need replacing and my go to store doesn’t have the shoe line or sizes I need. I also haven’t been able to find my size and color of the 669 v2 online.
I plan to wear these shoes on a sightseeing trip to Europe. They will be appropriate for touring towns with uneven pavement and cobblestone sidewalks and for light hiking on uneven terrain. I like that they are a darker color, have a protected toe area and some leather.
They will be able to stand up to wet weather and muddy trails and messy roads. I have worn them for a couple of days in a row and my legs did not feel fatigued. I have yet to take that trip but expect that I will still be pleased with these shoes.
I had ordered several pairs of day-hikers from multiple companies and have sent them all back except these. I ordered on a whim and was surprised how they fit perfectly right out of the box, are supportive, and are comfortable with no break-in required.

Please note that measurements may vary by size. Weight of footwear is based on a single item, not a pair.
Awesome, comfortable shoes at a phenomenal price point. I read the reviews but putting them on and using them was better than other shoes at triple the price. Its not like walking on a cloud but very good quality shoes at a great price point.
Would buy another pair to have down the road but they are sold out of my size.
I bought this product online and it was shipped to my home. The shoe is very comfortable however within about 2 weeks of wear the bottom sole began seperating from the heel of the shoe. There was also a knot inside the top part of the heel on the opposite shoe.
I returned the shoe to Acadamy but was not refunded the entire purchase amount.
Bought these Fila Evergrand TR shoes for my son and he absolutely loves them! Great cushion yet firm support. Love the traction of the soles. Definitely a great value. I am considering ordering another pair for myself! Highly recommended!.

Buying shoes these days is a gamble. You can spend $25-$30 on junk that might last a summer or spend $100 on “name brand” ones that fall apart just as fast. Skechers has been around awhile so I “rolled the dice” on a pair and have been wearing them every day for a month now and have no complaints at all.
We have 6 dogs that I walk every day on our trail through our woods, totals up to 1 1/4 miles. I have a machine shop that works in 6061 aluminum and wore these instead of my usual Bates boots. After dinner I work a couple hours on the 1969 Impala I’m rebuilding, been replacing the entire brake system, up and down and twisting and turning and these shoes have held up 100%, I’m ordering another pair for down the road, quality at a decent price is of the utmost importance to me.
I was looking for an moderately priced shoe in a larger size than I normally wear because my foot is swollen from foot surgery. This shoe was on sale and seemed to be what I was looking for. They seem to be well constructed and they look nice.
They are comfortable. Don’t know how well they will last, because I’ve only had them a few weeks.
These shoes fit the awkward shape of my feet. Having wide feet with narrow heels is always difficult to find a wide shoe that doesn’t rub up and down on my ankles when walking. These shoes wrap around my feet comfortably without any ankle rubbing causing blisters.
With a rocker profile, this D-ring lace-up shoe offers a smooth walking stride. Leather upper with brushed nylon lining. Padded collar and tongue, internal and external heel counter, plus removable Poliyou orthotic with leather heel seat.
Lightweight molded EVA midsole for shock absorption. By Propét; imported.
I need professional orthotics added to every shoe and can only wear a lace-up style like this one. I have it in quite a few colors love it. It feels quite secure when I use my elliptical. This shoe in gray is quite attractive and is a nice neutral color.
Great shoe. I can walk all day without pain. My fused foot will not let me wear shoes past a few hours. Propet stability walker supports my ankle all day long pain free. This is the only shoe on the market that I can wear.
Other shoes do not have the right support and are to heavy.
I have wide feet, am a nurse and have spent tons on buying expensive nursing shoes. Some only wore 2 hours and never wore again. These are the first pair of shoes that fit properly and feet feel great after a long day!.
A highly comfortable and versatile pair of slip on trainers that brings the Joy to walking. Featuring a woven mesh fabric upper for a breathable and comfortable design that expands with your foot while you walk.
Designed with a pull on heel tab for added ease and a padded collar for added comfort. Created with an array of comfort technology including Goga Max for cushioning and support and 5GEN midsole that is made from a lightweight injection-moulded compound with memory retention that helps absorb impact.
These are my first pair of Sketchers and I’m really happy with them. It’s a bit like wearing a sock, but with a supportive, grippy sole. Soooo comfy! And you can machine wash them too, which is great.
They’re not the most breathable of shoes, so the ability to wash them is fantastic. They don’t rub my feet or slip around and they have a good bit of room without being overly loose. Those with really, really narrow and small feet may struggle though, so just be aware of that as they seem to run slightly big.
My feet are flat, but average (size 6) and not particularly wide. If you can get these on sale, then I really recommend them!.
I broke my ankle in two places 4 months ago and needed a pair of comfort shoes to be able to wear and stand on my feet for sometime due to working in retail. The sketches Go Walk shoes I bought are so comfortable and easy to slip on and support my ankle and feet.
I don’t even realise I have shoes on when wearing them. Would highly recommend Sketches shoes for anyone with feet problems or just wanting comfortable shoes to wear for the day. Thanks also to the staff in ladies shoes who were very caring and friendly to help me purchase suitable shoes to support my feet.
Bought the taupe color, which is a nice neutral. Better than average arch support. Purchased in the same size as my other GOwalk shoes and this pair ran large. Not so large I had to return, but definitely big.
Could be a fluke. Could be I don’t have other GOwalk *Joy* shoes. It would be a perfect shoe if the insole came out for orthotics.
These are beautiful shoes, but run very wide. My advice is that if you have any doubt about our proper width, order the narrower one, but if you receive a pair that doesn’t fit, don’t try to exchange them; wear them with heavy socks if you have to.
I ordered these to replace a pair of NB walking shoes I’d worn for years, which were so perfect, including the fit (9B), that I’d considered them irreplaceable. Last spring, however, the soles were coming apart and I could see that they wouldn’t last another season.
Someone at New Balance told me these were most like my perfect pair, and I ordered them in 9 Standard. They were much too wide! When I held them against my old pair, the soles were at least 1/2″ wider, so I sent them back to order 9 Narrow instead.
Sending them back with the label provided was easy, but getting the money put back on the gift card has turned out to be nearly impossible. Over and over – maybe a dozen times – I was told on the phone that the money had been put back on the card, then tried to order but found the gift card balance was still zero.
Eventually I reached someone through the BBB, and hope for the best, but can’t try reordering yet because 9 Narrow is now out of stock. The saga continues.
I have been purchasing the 877v1 for several years. The first pair provided a good fit and wonderful support as did my second pair. I could take them out of the box and immediately wear them all day long.
This third pair is different. The shoe is stiff and does not seem to offer the support and comfortable fit as the previous two. I am only able to wear them for a couple of hours a day before I began having pain in my feet, ankles and back.
So the jury is still out on the 877v1. I have two other styles of New Balance and have no trouble with discomfort from wearing all day so it makes me think that the 877v1 has possibly undergone some changes, especially since it is very hard to find now on line, and that is what possible accounts for the less than great fit I have always felt with New Balance shoes.
I’ve always tried to find a pair of shoes to replicate the most comfortable ones I had years ago but didn’t write down what they were. These are the closest to those old magic shoes. The cushion on them gives some serious comfort for my 225 lbs body (medium arch).
The stock insole was good for me, even better than the green Superfeet I’m used to wearing. But right now I’m using these shoes with Dr. Scholl’s heavy duty insoles for 200+ pound folks and they feel awesome.
Highly recommend for any heavyweights looking for walking shoes. Only negative so far is that my feet get a little warm in them, but I think that could be remedied with some better breathing socks.
The FILA Women’s At Peake 23 trail shoes deliver trail running style, complete with all-terrain traction for your off-the-road adventures. Featuring the comfort of memory foam cushioning & traction, and durability of a all terrain rubber outsole.
Good shoe. The foam is very soft, shoe seems like it will last awhile. It’s not a premium hiking shoe, but the price reflects that. For the price, you can’t do any better. Fit was true. No break in needed.
First time trying a hiking trail “sneaker” and they were comfortable and had enough sole and ankle support to last a 6 mile woods hike. Highly impressed and would recommend if your looking for a lightweight structured hiking shoe.
Mostly as expected. Right size and comfortable fit. I got the brown, and they are somewhat more gray than pictured, and I think they skimped a bit on the laces. Really just got these for yard work and casual wear.
I am satisfied so far. Have only had them for a week or two.
Reactive and dynamic, the CloudTec outsole in Helion superfoam is made specifically for explosive movements in all directions. Molded cushion pads in the heel offer gentle security and the Speedboard within energizes your every step.
Raised sidewalls add stability and agility. The Cloud X uses materials high in quality and low on weight. Flexible but tough, the engineered mesh upper has a function-focused weave pattern for durability, breathability and agility.
And the no-sew design maintains a perfect fit during any activity that gets you fit. Meet your new training partner. The Cloud X is for those who refuse to define themselves by one activity. A lightweight and ultra-agile shoe built to handle punishing paces and intense mixed-sport workouts.
It’s at home on the track, street and in the gym. Get stronger, run longer.
I really wanted to like this shoe. I was looking for something I could use for Orangetheory, where I would run 1. 5-2. 5 miles, four times a week, in addition to rowing and mild strength training. Working out intensely, stomping on these shoes with all-outs, it led to intense shin splints (which I’ve never had before) and bruising on my heal.
The shoe feels like concrete once you lift the super thin sole insert up. There was absolutely no cushion to soften my stride, nor arch support. The other downfall with this shoe is that it has absolutely no breathability so if you live in a hot climate like I do it will feel wildly uncomfortable.
When I added a much needed sole insert, it added even more heat insulation, and it felt like I was running with plastic bags wrapped around my feet. It was then I knew I needed to return the shoe. I’m just so thankful to rei for having such a stellar return policy.
I’ve been wearing my On Cloud running shoes for a few weeks now and believe I’ve logged enough miles to give a pretty fair review of them. Aesthetically I love them and they’ll probably become my go to travel sneakers.
The slick black style can easily go from workout to casual wear and very much like that. Immediately I noticed that they are not as cushioned as my traditional running shoes which I normally wear a Brooks or Asic.
On Cloud does makes a more cushioned version but it’s not this pair. I prefer low socks or no socks and even after being broken in I find that they still rub the back of my ankles not to the point of blisters or bleeding but noticeable irritation.
I’ve caught two rocks in the unique sole design. I’ve seen review were people complain a lot about getting rocks stuck. I don’t think it’s extremely common but it will happen. They’re a well made shoe and I look forward to continuing to wear the pair I’ve purchased, however, for the price I guess I was expecting a bit more.
I absolutely love my oncloud tennis shoes. I saw a friend and her Mom both wearing the black/pearl color combo and was obsessed with how COOL they looked on; I asked if I could try my friend’s on to get an idea of sizing and decided to order myself a pair online.
I’d say they run just slightly small; I wear a 7. 5 pretty much across the board in all types of shoes so that’s what I ordered. The onclouds fit perfectly without any socks or with a SUPER thin sock on, but if I wanted to wear my normal cotton/padded running socks I definitely would’ve needed to buy the size 8.
I’ve never had tennis shoes that were this comfortable, and I get compliments on them everywhere I go. I’m already considering buying a second pair for work. These are my new favorite shoes!.

Love my Skechers shoes! The high amount of cushioning makes you feel like you’re floating on air when running reminds me of the shoes famed marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge wore when he ran his sub-2 hr.

I purchased these Go Run Consistent shoes with the air cooled GOGA Mat when I tried them on in a store. I liked them so much I went on your website and purchased another color because they are so comfortable.
They had the best cushion I had ever felt giving your arch the support needed for walking. I walk for exercise and they were great right from day one. A bonus they don’t pick up the little rocks in my driveway.
I have other shoes that do so when you get in and out of your car your floor mats get covered with rocks or walking around in the store you can hear the rocks that are stuck in the grooves of your shoes.
I’ve had back surgery so I really have to be picky about my shoe selection. My best walking shoes ever!!!.
I have been wearing skechers shoes for many years for running/jogging/walking. They are my favourite brand to wear because of their thick comfy soles. I have tried their memory foam ones and goga mat soles and i recommend goga mat soles for running/higher impact workouts.
Memory foam soles can sink over time but goga mat ones don’t. I love the bouncy feel of the goga mat soles. I have pretty big feet and most shoes make my feet look longer, but this design makes my feet look smaller! win for me! I wish they came out with more colors.
Great, comfy shoes for exercise, walking, casual wear. They fit well; my socks do not roll down or bunch up inside them. I can do my online cardio-fit and step classes in comfort. Nice shoes that can also be worn with shorts and jeans.
They are an attractive silvery color with teal green accents. My only wish is that they had teal green shoelaces instead of silver-gray, but that is no big deal! Comfortable, supportive fit is by far most important.
Go off the beaten path with the Grand Tier trail running shoe from Fila. This lace-up features an EVA midsole for extra cushioning and a multi-directional rubber outsole for rugged traction.
Bought this for my husband who is hard on shoes. It every show of his wears a hole through it in no time. These so far have been good. No holes and comfortable after breaking in. Also, more traction for the cold months here in the north.
I purchased these for my husband. We were in one of your stores and bought a pair and after going home and wearing for a few days hubby said I wish I had gotten a second pair these are so comfortable.
So I went back to the store and purchased this second pair.
I bought these for my dad to replace his old sneakers, and they are the best! Really comfortable, great for walking, and the colors are gorgeous. That pop of orange is fire!

My husband for a comfortable athletic shoe that he can wear all day. This one does it. He proclaimed today, that “This shoe is comfortable. It doesn’t hurt. High praise from him.
Sketches are among the best shoes on the market. My husband usually likes more colorful shoes. I was surprised when he chose this pair. He said they are lightweight, and very comfortable.

I have experienced bruised toes for years due to Morton’s Toe. I came across Healthy Feet Store website trying to find running shoes that would relieve my sore toes. I am so grateful that I did!! I ordered Propet athletic shoes with a wide toe box and they are perfect.
I can now be on the elliptical as long as I want with no pain- and no pain afterwards! My shoes were reasonably priced and I received them promptly. I will most definitely be ordering other shoes from them.
I have only worn them twice, but my hips, back, and feet didn’t hurt; however, they didn’t stop the feeling of Neuoprophy. They are wide enough, yeah. I also love the color and style. I am not sending them back because I have been trying to find shoes for over six months that I can get offline.
They are so far much better than any others I’ve bought, so they are keepers.
Thinking I would add a new color of this exact shoe to my collection, I was truly disappointed to find the sizing to be very off. The shoe was too short and too narrow. I already own two pairs of the same size, so I was expecting these to be the same.

I bought these shoes because I have a lot of issues with my feet. Just had surgery for a bone spur removal on the top of my foot and also have bone spurs on my heals as well as inflamed plantar in the heal area.
I was excited to buy these shoes because of all the positive reviews. It did take a while to break them in. While they are not terrible, they are not what I hoped for. Maybe if I didn’t have so many things wrong with my feet they would be better, but I’m still in search of that comfortable shoe.
These shoes are not horrible by any means. I feel like they could be comfortable without issues. They do provide good heal support. My other problem is that they rub the side of my foot by my toes. I feel like 3 stars isn’t good enough but 4 stars would be too many.
I would probably go with a 3. 5. I think some people would really like them. While they are not my favorite, I do still wear them, just not every day. If you have really wide feet, I would not recommend them.
I’ve struggled with plantar fasciitis for about 4 years now. I actually had surgery 3 years ago to correct it in my left foot. I was resigned to being forced to wear ugly shoes for the rest of my life, but I figured I’d give this shoe a try.
I was not disappointed! I read all the reviews, took the time to break them in, and will definitely be buying another pair when these need to be replaced. The arch support is fantastic. The Achilles support is awesome.
I have more narrow feet, so I was a little concerned about all the comments regarding a wide toe box. It is wide and doesn’t crunch my toes, but not so wide that it looks or feels like clown shoes like Birkenstock sandals look on me.
I can wear this shoe all day and not have any pain in my left foot anymore. They seem to be true to size. I wear and 8. 5 and ordered an 8. 5. They fit my feet perfectly. I would definitely recommend this shoe!.
Have owned these for about a month. The Pros: 1. The heel cushioning system works pretty well as my heel pain is definitely reduced but not eliminated. 2. The toe box is my favorite feature. I have never owned a pair of shoes that didn’t put some kind of pressure on my toes at some point.
With these, I can stand all day long and feel absolutely zero pressure on my forefoot/toes. 3. They look better than I expected. The cons: 1. Have done nothing for my ankle/knee/back pain. 2. I work on sealed concrete all day and the grip on these shoes is non-existent.
I slide all over the place. 3. The insole was surprisingly cheap & flimsy. I replaced it with an upgrade. This surprised me in an “orthotic” shoes. Would I recommend these to others? I don’t think so.
If I bought these again it would be 100% for the zero pressure on my toes. As far as I can tell, they’re really just another pair of sneakers.

I am a walker, not a runner, not a stroller. I walk. Not really speed walk but probably not far from. My ASICS are usually fine but I wanted something with a little more cushioning and support. These Rykas are great and honestly you can feel the extra spring they provide in your step.
I can do just over a 16 minute/mile pace for 2+ miles with more ease, and was able to go under 16 min/mile a few times. And I live in WV so that’s up and down hills. If it was flat, I could do 15-min/mile easy in these.
I will say that I bought the 8. 5 and I probably should have gone with the 9. I’m either of those sizes depending on the shoe. So if you’re kinda between, go with the size up. I hate when shoes are too long because my heel tends to swim in them.
But these at the size up wouldn’t have that problem. That being said, the 8. 5 are only a wee bit short. Bottom line is that if you are a walker for exercise, you will love these. They will B absolutely make a difference in your step.
I have a hard time finding sneakers for wide feet that are true to size and comfortable, until now! After trying almost every brand possible, I bit the bullet and spent a little more than usual on this purchase.
I now see why! You pay for what you get! And these sneakers are totally worth it if you’re looking for comfort, light weight and super cute and vibrant. I got the yellow highlighter looking color (they say it’s neon green I believe) but it’s more highlighter yellow to me.
I bought these excited to get a Ryka walking shoe. I wasn’t sure of size, so went by size guide. It took forever to get these and when I finally did, I was thrilled…until I put them on. They were small, still, tight.
I was so disappointed because I had a previous pair of Vera sneakers that I absolutely LOVED. Because it to so long to get these, I’ll probably just try to sell them myself and stick with my Brooks for walking.
Get quicker shipping and maybe revisit your size chart and I might consider trying your product again.

I wear New Balance walking sneakers almost exclusively. I have serious arthritis in both hands which makes tying laces laborious, so I always buy the type with strap closures, and this brand is my favorite.
I find that, with a modest amount of shoe polish I can even wear the black version for more dressy occasions. I usually have 2 pair in my shoe rack, one in black and one in a lighter color. They wear well, are very comfortable, and do not hurt my feet like other brands.
The price for this pair was quite reasonable; I intend to add a lighter-color pair when they become available again.
I bought a pair of 11 EEEE about 8 years ago. I wear maybe 3 times a week. I just received the new version. They are a little tighter fit. The sole is different. The heel feels not as secure (as though the heel of the shoe is not at the same level as the toe and mid section).
Different does not mean bad. I hope they spread a little.
Personally I would recommend ordering a 1/2 size larger than normal. I always wear a 10 1/2 and wish I had ordered a size 11. But I am keeping the size 10 1/2 in hopes they will stretch a tad : ). That said if you like a nice light weight tennis shoe you will love these.
As far as the shoe holding up only time will tell. I had a pair of New Balance tennis shoes I am replacing and I’m not sure about the materials in these new ones being as high in quality. I definitely like the style.
And the fact that they are black in color. Shipping was speedy fast as usual from Haband. I have had the best luck with Haband jeans. I thought I would try there shoes.
