20 Best Sneakers For Narrow Feet (2023 Updated)

This shoe has been my go-to shoe for everyday use for several years. I wear them every day and get about a year out of a pair. This shoe provides not only the width but also the height that my messed-up feet need to avoid pain while walking.

Not to get personal, but my feet have been bent out of shape by past gout and arthritis problems, resulting in bunions, hammer toes and subsequent outward turning toes. This particular New Balance shoe has given me the great gift of painless walking because of its large toe box.

My only regret is that I need a new pair now and there are none available due to supply chain problems. I purchased a similar pair of New Balance but my feet hurt when wearing them.

I ordered 2 pair this time around and really love both. The ‘stability fly’ was a second choice because the other shoe I ordered was out of stock. What a happy substitute! Fits/feels great and no problem with orthotics fitting into the footbed.

I do have to comment that I love the service from the healthy feet store. I received an email telling me that my first choice was not available, called customer service, conversed with the most helpful woman from Lancaster and got really great shoes very quickly.

No problems with the credit card refund, everything was a breeze. Thank you.

These shoes are very comfortable and pretty! I bought the same brand but a little different last time and loved them also. Worth every penny! I have bad feet, right one mostly! I have fat pad problems, my feet swell when I’m working so extra wide is wonderful, room enough for my toes, no squishing the side of my big toe! I work on my feet on concrete.

I wore Propet athletic shoes a few years ago because they are one of the few shoe manufacturers (along with New Balance) that make narrow widths. Since then, I have been buying cheaper medium width shoes and have developed worsening back and hip pain.

Will be 70 in August and thought it was aging and arthritis (and part of it almost certainly is). finally decided to “splurge” on these shoes and within a week pain has dramatically decreased. They are remarkably lightweight and comfortable, yet seem sturdy and well made.

Getting lots of compliments on the styling. Guess you “get what you pay for”, thanks Propet!.

These shoes are “OK” so far. They are not perfect for me, but hopefully will break-in and be comfortable. I do have to use my own orthotics and that seemed to make them less comfortable than I am used to when I first put on a New Balance shoe.

I have very wide feet and problem feet, so I need the widest woman’s size and lately there is almost NOTHING to chose from. I was desperate so I did purchase the only one that had a width I need, but it is far from what I wanted.

My local store even has nothing to chose from, and I guess they cannot order like we used to. I have only purchased NB for a long time, but it looks like I will need to do some research for some other brand.

Not sure why they limit the wide widths so much in color and style even normally, and now. nothing to pick from. I am disappointed.

There was a slight break-in period for comfortable walking, and the right heel seemed to feel deformed or not supportive. I had to change the stock insole with a NB cross training insole which made it better.

I like the roomy toe box plenty of width wiggle room. I would by a smaller size though at least by a half size, these shoes run big. The length of the laces are fine as long as you don’t lace up all the way.

One irk I have and can’t seem to get used to is that this shoe feel hot as if you had wool socks on or even wearing a boot. I think the upper material has something to do with it because no other show I wear has the same reaction.

I may change into three different shoes in one day and when I wear these 840s the heat is on. Other than that it isn’t that bad of a shoe.

I was very disappointed with this shoe. I decided to try this shoe to see if it would alleviate some of my knee discomfort and I have been using the Brooks running shoes for quite some time which I have loved.

This shoe does not hold up to the standards of other Brooks shoes. I only wore it once and it was so uncomfortable I decided to return it. In fact, this is the most uncomfortable shoe I’ve worn in years.

It’s at least a half size to a full size too small and it is not soft and cushiony like other Brooks shoes. The soul is hard and uncomfortable as very much contrasted with other Brooks shoes. Honestly I was very surprised and disappointed.

I’m definitely returning it.

The original Addiction Walkers were the best shoe I’ve ever worn. The Brown Nubuck style was a perfect winter shoe for the Pacific NW, I wore little else. These are too thin to be a winter shoe, aren’t nearly as comfortable, and not nearly as good for plantar fascitis and flat feed.

They aren’t as solid either. I’ve spent thousands on these–though not cheap, I never regretted it. Won’t be buying any more of these, they seem in truth a completely different shoe (yeah, they look really cool) that should have been introduced under a different name.

Would have bought 10 pairs of the original version in black *and* brown if I’d known the style was about to be degraded. Really poor choice.

The Brooks Ghost has been a very good shoe. I have worn it for years, and enjoyed the comfort and stability. My foot is slightly wider in the front, so I have enjoyed the fit which gave me the forefoot comfort and the running performance I desire.

There seems to be a slight fit change this year in the forefoot. It seems to have changed to feel longer and more narrow. The shoe almost feels clumsy. Previous versions immediately felt perfect. The previous shape and width were excellent; and movement through my running gate was very good.

But it is a bit different now and not working so well for me, although, I think it will work for many other people.

I’ve been wearing the Brooks Ghost for many years now and once again the 14s did not disappoint. Very comfortable with lots of cushion and support. Love running in these shoes! For reference: I’m a size 9.

5 and I have narrow feet so I always order a 2A in width. There’s still lots of room in the toe box. I’d say they fit a little wider than some shoes but still within the normal width range. I usually put about 500-600 of running kms on these shoes before I get a new pair.

I’ve ran anywhere from 5km up to half marathons with no trouble.

I run a modest 10-20 miles a week. Depending on my schedule. I’m 5’9″ 175 and I love trying new sneakers. I started having ankle and foot problems with my On Clouds a couple years ago. I turned to Brooks Ghost 13.

They were nice and comfortable. My pains started going away. I was considering buy the 13’s again then I read the reviews for the 14’s so I gave them a shot. I have 200 miles and they still feel like brand new.

They are light and strong and I have over 100 miles this month alone in them. Great job Brooks!.

I have a lot of things going on with my feet; edema, gout, bunion, neurapothy, bone spur, arthritis. I’m in pain everday. To find a shoe that is comfortable is extremely hard to do. These are wide enough, light weight, give support and yes comfortable! They are cute too.

I wear an 11 E so to find a shoe that is actually that side for box big enough, that is not like a cement block to walk in and do not make my feet look like astronaut boots, in I’m sold. I only have ever purchased the ” bailey” shoe before and have worn them out and no longer supportive of comfy, but they were until inside them out.

But these are better!.

Bought for my husband. My impression- online picture looks way better than the real shoe in person. Very cheap looking; the material is thin and the print appeared duller in person which made it look like an old pair of shoes.

It’s not worth >$99. I would say that $39 is more appropriate- looks like something you can buy at Walmart or Target that was meant to look high end but ends up looking cheap because of the material.

My husband impression- cheap looking. One star because it’s true to size. Second star for comfort. Not worth the price point.

Highly recommend. Needed a good walking shoe to address plantar fasciitis on one foot and a bunion on the other. Ordered reg size and width. I sometimes order wides to accommodate the bunion but often find that wides are then too wide on the rest of the foot and down to the heel causing my feet to swim and my heel to pop out a bit.

These shoes have a bit of extra room in the toe box and flexible material to better accommodate and conform to a slightly wider foot at the front without the shoe being overly wide throughout. The insole provides great support for my high arches and cushioning/cupping of the heel.

I got the black and gray which go with everything and are also very fashionable. I imagine these would be supportive, great walking shoes even for those without any foot issues.

These shoes are performing really well. I’m surprised and pleased. I’ve been wearing a name brand running shoes – with orthotics – because my feet are a mess. These Propet shoes offer nearly the same support and stability.

The toe box lets my toes move around and overall they seems to offer my feet more flexibility inside the shoe. Also – I got size EE and it is wide enough for my wide feet and orthotics, which is not always the case with other brands.

First off, stitching in the top of the vamp of the right shoe came loose and was dangling within two days of wearing the shoes and it bothers me all the time because I notice everything. Should have been factory seconds.

Secondly, shoe is not so good if you use custom or cushioned insoles. The arch on this shoe was a bit lacking for me and wether I use my usual spenco insoles or the Step Plus insoles which I bought from SAS -_- , there is not enough room in the shoes and my toes are irritated against the top of the shoe.

I had a perfect fit when I bought them but with ” after market” insoles they become too small. My other SAS shoes are not like that. If I had to buy them again I would order in double wide instead of just wide.

The good part is that the sole of the shoe is impressive and I feel much positive return from them when walking which is saying a lot as I weigh over 300lbs and stand 6’5″. If SAS wants to send me a replacement pair in 15w that may just fit the bill for me, but I feel like these shoes may have been a mistake as I cannot use them for work as I intended without being able to fit my arch insoles and my feet in at the same time.

Would be 3. 5 stars but I don’t have that option.

SAS MADE IN AMERICA! Great quality true comfort the minute you put them on! My Dad Loves them! They are a little spendy however as the saying goes “you get what you pay for”, and these shoes will not disappoint so don’t let the cost scare you away.

Our feet carry us a great distance in a lifetime and when you get older quality structure and comfort in a shoe is important. The Velcro closure is a plus as well, easy on, easy off. It was nice to visit an actual shoe store as it’s not so often that you have a clerk properly fit you to a shoe and I think that is what I liked best about my Dads experience with SAS.

So, way to go SAS, you knocked it out of the park!.

I have been an Easy Spirit customer for over 30 years, and always knew what size I took. But the last two pair in the last 3 years have been too big, and wide. I wear an 8 1/2 slim. These were like a 9 1/2 medium.

They looked so big when I took them from the box, I immediately knew they were different than the brown nubuck I’d purchased from Shoe Mall in 2016. Those fit perfect. These weren’t even close to being the same.

Obviously the last has changed, or the factory that makes them is cutting corners? I can’t say how disappointed I am, as this is the most comfortable shoe I ever owned! Also priced reasonably. Someone needs to contact Easy Spirit, and find out why the change? I did hear they were going out of business.

I absolutely LOVE Shoe Mall, and here I am 3,000 miles away, having to order online, because stores here discontinued slim width shoes. Wonder if they thought we all died? Well we didn’t. They need to wake up and realize we are everywhere across America.

Love the WW width, wish it wasn’t so hard to find. Easy spirit is one of the last companies that still make leather shoes. Why is it so hard to make leather shoes these days. What are they doing with all the cattle pelts? I hope companies change back, these woven materials are a joke, they have no support and they stretch till your foot is just squashy in the shoe.

Thank goodness for Easy spirit still making the AP1, it is comfortable from the first try- on. I would suggest that they make wide shoes with a smaller heel, or with a heel cup that can be added so the heel doesn’t slip around.

My left leg is impaired & I sometimes drag my left foot when I walk. When I go to Physical Therapy, I need a light-weight “gym”-type shoe. not a huge walking shoe that is heavy due to a massive sole.

Previously, I tried a couple of Keds light-weight white shoes but their leather exterior was not nearly as durable as the Easy Spirit. Also this shoe has a better arch. I will buy this shoe again in the future.

I really wanted to like this shoe. It is well made and look attractive. However, I have a plantar fasciitis issue in my right foot that I hoped this shoe would help manage during my physical activities.

Unfortunately, it aggravates it and I end up with pain during and after use.

I really really wanted to like these shoes. I was excited to find a pair of leather-upper slip-ons in narrow, to wear traveling, on-off for TSA. But even after giving the shoes a fair chance to “break in,” they pinch my small toes.

I feel this is because of the location of the seam on the upper. Most shoes have the seam farther towards the toe end, rather than directly overtop the small toes. OUCH! I asked Trotters if, because of the design flaw, they would take a return on them.

Was refused. So, recommend: Do not buy. I won’t be buying any more more shoes from Trotters, because I believe design flaws should be returnable, too, not just manufacturing flaws.

I bought this shoe for travel to a very warm climate in southern Italy. The shoe is comfortable with decent arch support for my high arches. I love the slip on style which also makes it good for travel.

Since the shoe is made of leather, it is hot. I decided not to take it on our trip for that reason so I will just enjoy it in the upcoming fall weather. By the way, I love the free returns!!! I wasn’t sure what size to order so I ordered 2 pair of the same shoe in different sizes.

Return process is very easy.

I purchased a 7. 5M [Medium] which should be a regular, average size fitting shoe. Other sizes available were 7. 5N (Narrow), 7. 5W (Wide), & 7. 5WW (Double Wide), but my shoe fits very Narrow towards the top, (more tighter-fitting) & more Medium everywhere else, & I had the thinnest ankle socks on (dress socks material)! Size doesn’t fit comfortably! The upper part of the shoe fits more like a Narrow, rather than a Medium! Disappointed– to be a high-priced brand!.

These shoes are pretty great. They do not rub on my ankles or feet and are super comfy for walking. The fabric lets the air circulate so my feet don’t get sweaty. My one complaint is that the footbed isn’t as supportive as I’d like for standing.

Walking is great but standing my feet and knees start to ache a bit. Will probably buy insoles as these shoes are great in every other way.

First and foremost thank you DSW for selling this brand. My mom was in need of a new walking shoe for her job because she’s on her feet majority of the time. After reading reviews on this particular sneakers I ordered it.

She loves it so much. She told me that it feels comfortable and lightweight while providing the necessary support. She also purchased the gray color and wants another one. Is safe to say I’ll also be buying these for myself as well.

I found these on the clearance rack, and am very happy with them, they are very comfortable. I have lots of foot pain, and these shoes work with my specialized inserts. Iv also have to accommodate wide feet and a bunion.

Wide fit shoes are hard to find, so it was great that Propet offers wide varieties. The slip on lacing takes a bit to get used to, but overall its a win!.

After three surgeries on each foot and metal screws in both big toes due to the Army boots, I’ve been looking for a good pair of sneakers for quite some time. I was ready to send these back before they even arrived.

But once here and on my feet they are my everyday sneakers. Give them a try. Soft and comfortable but very supportive. I was surprised and very happy. Wish they had more colors. I ordered the black.

I have very troubled toes and feet from RA and have been spending double the price of these shoes to find ones that worked for me. I am 81. These ended up being GREAT! I removed the insole and inserted my custom insole, which fits perfectly.

I like how light they are and that my feet are comfortable in them all day. I purchased a second pair of Propet’ in another color. Thank you Propet’!.

After a few decades of long distance hiking and several years of walking an average of 17 miles per night on concrete floors at work, the metatarsal part of my feet has broken down, causing the tendons and bones to spread.

It’s become exceedingly difficult to find shoes that are wide enough and comfortable enough. Finally I’ve found a pair that work for me. I bought them in extra wide. They look cute and they feel good.

The only negative is that I felt there needed to be more arch support so I bought inserts. That’s why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. For otherwise cute, very comfortable shoes, buying a pair of inserts is a small price to pay.

I’m going to buy more of these shoes.

I love these shoes. Have ordered multiple pairs in gris and a black pair. I add insoles and wear them everywhere. They look cute with dresses and with pants. I actually have a more worn pair for yard/garden use, a pair for home/about town, a pair (or two) for work, and a spare pair still in the box.

Never stop making these!.

I have 2 pairs of SAS marnie shoes in two different colors. As with all SAS shoes (which is all I wear) they are extremely comfortable for my poor feet. I love that they are stylish, well made, and after 3 years of constant summer wear still look great and in very good condition.

I get lots of compliments for them.

I’ve been buying sass shoes since 1995. Work shoes, casual, sneakers and sandals. I’ve tried other brands like Clarks but nothing compared to how my feet feel in a sass shoe. Until now. These sneakers have given me major blisters on my Achilles tendon.

I’m trying to fix this with mole skin patches. There are seams that rub. I’ve never had this problem before.

I have a wide foot, and struggle to find shoes that are wide enough with arch support. These are lightweight and comfortable. The toe box area is very wide (I ordered the extra-wide), which is what I was hoping for.

I normally go up another whole size in running shoes to get the room I need, but the width on these was great at my normal size. They may even run just a tad large. The arch support is subtle, but there.

They have a very nice casual appearance, not too bulky or masculine looking.

First time buying this brand of shoe. I have one finicky and picky husband. It’s hard to find sneakers that look good in wide or larger width. After reading the reviews I thought, “Why Not. I can always return them”.

My husband said they fit well and very comfortable! These sneakers were a keeper!!.

Love the taupe color and the low rise sneaker fit. Found my usual size, 10N, to be a little small/short. Was not available in a 10. 5N, so got the 10. 5M. Good fit, though a little wider in the heel than I would like.

My last pair of Softwalk shoes came with a thick, waffle texture insole which this one did not. No problem, I use my own orthotic anyway, which fit in the shoe fine after removing the standard, removable insert that was included.

I love these shoes. They are the perfect basic sneaker for casual wear. Great style, very comfortable. Having narrow feet, it is very difficult to find styles that I like that fit well. These fit my 9N foot perfectly.

This style was out of stock for awhile, and when stock came back, I bought 3 pairs! I am currently on my 2nd pair (before buying the 3 new ones). If that’s not a strong recommendation, I don’t know what is! If SoftWalk keeps making them, I’ll keep buying them.
