20 Best Sneakers For Hip Pain (2023 Updated)

I have balance issues, due to my ankles turn inward, and I also have a high arch. I’d been using the Vionic sport inserts for years. They are very hard, with great support. They work great, so I tried this sneaker.

First put them on, they fit just perfect. Even made my huge feet look smaller! Very comfortable. Then when I actually walked on them, OUCH! There was very little support, my ankles turned inward, and worst of all, they actually aggravated an old knee injury! Just from walking in them about 3 minutes! Nothing like this ever happened with the inserts! The sneakers were great looking and I was so disappointed they had little support.

If you are making a sneaker or sport/running shoe, why wouldn’t you put the harder, performance insole in them? Makes no sense. Also, you really should have used longer laces. Elasticized laces would be great.

I can’t tell you how disappointed I was these didn’t work out. Maybe I’ll put my inserts in them, and see how they feel. The actual fit is perfect. Too bad.

I bought a pair of these shoes in my normal size,a 8 medium. I took them out of the box and thought they looked small so I checked inside the shoe for the size and it was the size I normally wear. I own a few Vionic shoes and have never had any issues with them being to small.

These were a half size to small for my feet. I couldn\’t wear socks to try them on. Returned the size 8 medium and exchanged them for a 8 1/2 medium which fit with socks on! So if you are planning on wearing them with a bit thicker socks I would suggest that you do like I did and go up a half a size! I gave them just a 3 star rating for the fit! Maybe need to measure some women with a bit bigger feet!.

I noticed the picture wasn’t so white, and another reviewer was disappointed that the sneaker was the color of a “band-aid. ” I found it to be more of a pale tan, which actually works very well with so much of my summer wardrobe, better than a glaring white would have.

I did find them a bit hard inside, so added a soft insole. That’s why I’m only giving them 4 stars, but I’m really very pleased with them, though I do consider them over-priced.

As a Police Officer I am always on my feet. Drew Surge are the best. I have tried the other Drew Sneakers, but I like the Surge the best because they are heavy duty and last long time. I was a New Balance sneaker guy for years prior but due to my long and wife feet.

Goodbye to New Balance and hello to DREW. I wear a 13 6E and fits perfect. I even use the sneakers at the gym. A great find, buy them you won’t be sorry.

I’ve always had problems with holes wearing in the soles of my right shoes, directly underneath my big toe, regardless of the brand or model. ASICS was probably the one major brand I had yet to try when I bought my first pair of Gel-Challenger-13’s.

The first pair, which I bought approximately six months ago, held up so well that I bought a second pair as soon as I noticed my size was in stock, about a month ago, even though I had plenty of life left in the original pair.

I’ve never gotten six months out of a pair of shoes. Not only have these been incredibly durable, but they’re very comfortable and light. Without a doubt, this is the best shoe I’ve ever played in. I’ve recommended them to probably every player I know.

I will continue to buy ASICS, and this shoe, specifically, from now on.

i put these on this morning and for the first 5 minutes I was worried that they were a little boxy feeling. I’ve been wearing the same shoes for too long I guess. After walking around my house for a bit I really grew to love the solid feel and support they provide.

Played in them today and they were fabulous. Great support, quick reaction time, and firm footing. I love the dark blue with pink accents. They don’t feel like there is too much plastic to be comfortable.

Some of the shoes feel too rubbery but this is not the case with these. I very glad I went for the Gel-Challenger 13 Clay.

Very comfortable. Bought a pair for myself and 14 yo daughter. Size is perfect for her average to narrow foot, a little snug on my average to wide foot. Ordered true to size for her, 1/2 size up for myself.

Broke in quickly. After one 90 minute training session we both felt our shoes fit well after a few laces adjustments. Very comfortable on landing, good grip on the court. No foot pain during or after.

This was my first time playing in over 10 years! Overall, couldn’t be more pleased! Would totally purchase again.

I’ve had a number of ASICS tennis shoes over the years, and have been generally satisfied with them. The cushioning is quite good, sole life rivals New Balance in the same price range. The sizing is true.

All good! But, my previous pair of ASICS had shoestrings that were ridiculously long. I use a tying technique that doesn’t require a double bow knot it to keep from untying. That technique uses a bit more string, but not enough to keep the string off the court.

My current ASICS has the opposite issue: the strings are too short! They’re so short that the top eyelet can’t be used. How can a shoe manufacturer not provide shoe strings of the proper length??.

I’m a very regular hardcourt tennis player, so my feet are fairly tough. Usually i can do 3 sets with no pain whatsoever on soles of my feet. With these though, i had to stop today after only 1 set as i was in agony.

There is so little cushioning under the front of the foot, it feels like you are playing bare foot. The actual shoe fits very well and is comfortable other than that, so it’s a shame. Unfortunately i cant return them as it is just a terrible design, not a faulty product, so it’s £50 absolutely wasted, i’ll stick to adidas next time.

Avoid these shoes at all costs.

I bought this show in march, early July, the sole was already gone. I do not play everyday and I was surprised by how fast it was tearing. Top part of the shoe is very durable. Second problem, and the worst, to me was foot pain while wearing the shoe for a while.

I play tennis for 2 hours, and after that, my foot aches so much that I can hardly continue playing. The days that I continue, I can barely walk the day after. I can’t say whether this is an issue on my foot that is enhanced by the shoe.

To me it didn’t work.

I suffer from plantar fasciitis and achilles tendonitis and a sore left heel, so I decided to give these shoes a try. I already have the Atom in black and love them, but needed a style like this one.

They are pure heaven! I don’t have any aches or pains when I wear them. None! They are also so much cuter than they appear online. I’m constantly getting compliments on them and I’ve had two people take a photo of them so they would remember the name to order a pair for themselves.

The first pair arrived with a manufacturing flaw, but customer service was excellent and sent out another pair.

I find the heel in this shoe not as comfortable as the Quantum. As the heel molded to my foot, the insert crinkled along the back wall in my left shoe. I’m not sure why this happend but if my socks are thin I can feel this and it’s bothersome.

If this didn’t occur, I’d rate these a 5 star. Other shoe makers of this style get very narrow at the toes and I’m glad these are more roomy comparatively. I also like the crisp combo of the black leather and white sole.

The flex in the sole as I walk is also nice- not stiff.

I have had plantar fasciotomy and Achilles lengthening over 7 yrs ago, my feet are very flat and require orthotics in almost every shoe. I bought these shoes a month ago because my orthotics are worn out and it will be a couple months before I receive my new ones.

I have been wearing these shoes without orthotics and I have never been pain free until now. After 2 weeks, I ordered a different style from Kuru and can say I am not disappointed. Just wish I had ordered shoes sooner!.

Was not sure of fit as first time purchase of Vonic. Great fit and well made. First time I wore them several compliments. Never had that before.

I purchased total of 7 pairs of Vionic. Bought this for my husband, size 9, inside says 9. But it was so big with a whole inch extra, which must be wrongly labelled. My request for replacement was declined.

Bought these for my son and he said “Wow these are the most comfortable sneakers he has ever worn. From now on I will buy only Vionics”

I was so excited to recieve these shoes. The day they were delivered I rushed to try them on, only to be very disappointed. They are VERY light weight, which I would usually love, bust so much so that tjey feel like they won’t hold up for even a month.

The biggest disappointment though is that I was overjoyed that they came in extra wide, but these shoes actually feel narrower than. A regular shoe. Super bummed that i am back to the drawing board for wide sneakers.

If u need a truly wide width, I’d recommend to skip these.

I bought these for my daughter, but forgot to order these one’s in wide, and they did not fit her. So for those with wide feet, make sure you order wide. So, I ended up getting a new pair of sneakers instead.

They fit well, but the inserts inside are terrible. There is no cushion & they are flat & hard. I put gel inserts into them & that fixed the problem. They also come with 2 pairs of shoes laces. Beige ones & peach ones, which is really nice.

Overall, with the inexpensive cost & the look they are worth it.

These shoes are comfortable and fantastic. My niece loves the bright, bold, blue color. They fit amazingly, and she loves the extra pair of shoe laces. The shoes match some of her exercise clothes, and they look great together.

Honestly I was dissatisfied. I work in a hospital and I am on my second pair of ATOMs. I ordered these to be my home shoes, but they did not match the quality. As soon as I put them on they felt less comfortable and lacked the quality of my ATOMs.

I will probably give another pair a try in several months when my current pair burn out, but they definitely will not be ROAMs.

These are my new house shoes / slippers. I put them on after getting dressed and they stay on until I go to bed. I’m retired, so I wear them out for errands, in the yard, around the house and garage and my feet stay cool and comfy.

I hardly know they’re on. Light weight, nice arch support and they don’t make my feet sweat. Hopefully these will be around a long time so when these wear out I can replace them.

Our local running store held a workshop on Newton running shoes about a decade ago. That day changed my world. Until then I would get a lot of aches and pains, especially in my knees when I ran a lot.

I was fitted in a pair of Newton Gravity while at the workshop and, the following week, received a couple of free training sessions to help me alter my way of running. No longer did I have a raised heel on my shoe and no longer did I run heel toe.

From that day on I eliminated the nagging knee aches and stress fractures I used to get running in other brands of shoes and running heel toe. I will never run in any other shoe other than the Newton Gravity.

I wear the neutral support version. I order my shoes online and they always arrive true to size and fit. I can also get close to 500 miles in them before having to buy a new shoe. Also, I like the recent colors they’ve chosen, both for last year’s and this year’s shoe.

From comfort to fit this is the best running shoe, hands down!.

I’m training for the Keys 100 mile ultra marathon and was in search of a comfortable shoe for the run. I googled best ultra marathon shoe and Newton was one of the brands that came up. I read through reviews and decided to give them a try.

So happy I did. The toe box is perfect! My feet never feel sore or squished after 20 + miles of training. The color choice is phenomenal and the overall fit is perfect for my foot. I love the low drop and the upper mesh is so light and breathable.

Highly recommend. Looking forward to finishing my first 100 mile ultra marathon wearing Newton Distance 10!! I wear size 8 in Street shoe but ordered a 9 in these and they fit perfect. Recommend sizing up.

Extremely pleased with this shoe. I’m more of a forefoot striker and love how this shoe seems to help propel me foreword easier than any other shoe I’ve tried. I love the lightness of the shoe. They were very comfortable straight out of the box.

I have bunions, and the toe box is roomy enough to accommodate them comfortably. Love the colors of the shoe. In this case Gravity is definitely working for me… the rest of my body, well that’s a different story! 🤣 ( I’m 63).

These looked to be everything they were talked up to be until they arrived. Could hardly get my foot in and I don’t have a wide foot. They were so uncomfortable like walking on wood. The insole doesn’t appear to have any padding whatsoever other than the arch support.

The tongue of the trainer on the underside is badly finished off and rubbed on the top of my foot. So would have been forced to wear socks to make them in any way comfortable, then that would have meant getting a bigger size as they are so neat.

I have at least 6 other pairs of Vionic’s, sandals, slippers and trainers and they are all fantastic. Don’t know what’s gone wrong here but it’s enough to put me off the brand, particularly at this price – they are way off the mark.

There are only 2 brands of footwear I can cope with these days having plantar fasciitis on one foot, they are Vionic and Skechers. The way these have been made is enough to make me walk straight to Skechers from now on.

Really disappointed. Being returned.

I always wear a size 10. So I ordered a size 10. When it arrived I had to recheck label several times because the toe box was so short it was bumping my big tow. I almost thought that someone put a 9-1/2 into a 10 box.

But the label said 10. Quality of shoe was good, but someone didn’t check the laces. The tip was missing and the lace could slip out of hole too easy. I would be uneasy recommending it because someone might be expecting a normal length and it may be too short for them also.

The width was medium as posted and I purchased a medium. I would really like Vionic and others to make Narrow widths, but I don’t see any. Anyway the width size isn’t going to correct the depth of the toe box.

Not often do I write one of these but I have to say that in all my 74 yrs have I ever had a pair shoes that I could actually wear all day. My body wants to sway because of my problems. With these shoes they keep me straight on.

I am so in love with these that I am thinking about another pair in another color, if they are available. Mine are the awesome pink looking ones that matched a lot of my tops. I love love love them. I also really love my other Vionics a lot.

OH! I bought these a nine because I wear thin socks or footies with them.

Good shock absorption for my back pain! I like to wear them around the house instead of slippers. I suffer from severe nerve pain aggravated by standing and walking, so it’s important to me. They look great, have moisture and odor control, and are unceasingly comfortable.

True to size.

I’m so very pleased. I got the floral Blast in 13XW. They fit comfortably and are cute shoes for big feed. Such a pleasure!

My mother absolutely loves these for her ankle support for everyday walking. She’s back in style!

I have needed strapped walking shoes (since I broke my arm and leg years ago). They are becoming harder and harder for me to find. With Haband, I have found a reliable source for a long-wearing and comfortable walking shoe.

That shoe is New Balance. It last longer and wears better than others I have ordered (including some others I have found at Haband). These New Balance strapped walking shoes are more expensive, but the proof I have found is in the wearing and the wear.

Recommended.

I got this shoe to step away from my usual clifton 6 from hoka to switch it up from an aggressive rocker bottom to a more flat experience in the spire. I like the cushion and the carbon fiber shank provides good stability but i don’t feel much standard arch support.

luckily i use a few different orthotics that fit perfect for my feet. This shoe breathes very well and is extremely lightweight.

Excellent breathability with mesh upper, Carbon Fiber shank in the shoe improves rigidity and stability, Fits narrow, but overall a very good choice for a running shoe.

Comfortable, great for narrow feet. They run a bit small so I would go up a size.
