20 Best Sneakers For Everyday Use (2023 Updated)

I bought these shoes initially for going on walks with my dog. I have health issues and two replaced hips, so the slip on design was is perfect for me. I walk with my doh on unpaved paths throught the woods in our local park.

They provide terrific support and are outstanding for the unpaved paths. Great grip and cushioning for comfort on long walks. These shoes give me confidence to go on walks like this in my condition. I have recommended these to others with similar conditions.

They have all bought them and are super happy with them. These shoes are great quality, long lasting and are a terrific value for the price. I have bought frou pairs of these shoes since 2015, and they get daily use.

5 stars for them.

So far so good. I have several problems with my feet and legs along with arthritic fingers that were given me with my older age of 81. Shoestrings are a real problem to tie. Reason I started looking for Velcro strap tennis shoes.

Since I am not shopping for shoes with shoestrings anymore, you would do customers like me a real favor by grouping Velcro closure shoes by themselves. I spent way too much time trying to pan thru your pages of shoe offerings.

My next purchase could be a pair of dress shoes with Velcro straps. But I hope to be able to review them in a section of Velcro strap shoes only. Thank you.

I have bought 3-4 pair of these and do not recommend them. First pair were ok and he described them as comfortable so my husband wanted a second pair. Because of the color we bought they got dirty quickly so its hard to say how long first pair would have held up.

Second pair didn’t last more than probably 3 months before air bubble area popped on one shoe. At that point we were 50% on these shoes that are 150. 00 a pair. My middle school kid begged for a pair to start this school year.

It’s only November and there is a hole in the top of the shoe around where the big toe would be. The fabric is ripping away from where the fabric meets the sole of the shoe. Guys. these are 150. 00 shoes.

They should last longer than 3 months with normal use. And you guessed it. they are out of the return date for Dick’s to have to take back and I contacted Nike and guess what. they claim there is nothing they can do for me.

So, I got 3 months out of a 150. 00 shoe when normally my kids school shoes last the entire school year, unless their foot grows. How convenient for a shoe to make it out of the warranty stage but not much longer.

Very disappointed in Nike quality compared to price and the struggle to make them accountable for their product. You can find a much cheaper shoe that will hold up that long. Do not recommend. However, if you need to hear something positive, both my husband and son said these shoes were comfortable on their feet.

My son begged me for these last year for back to school sneakers. Against my better judgment I spent $160 on these. About 2 weeks later they had 2 holes in the fabric. I’m more than disgusted with the delicate nature of these decently expensive Nikes.

They continued to develop more homes in them. I did fill out a Nike warranty form but heard nothing back. This doesn’t hold well for Nike’s commitment to their products. My son is 16, so maybe these would be better for someone who babies their shoes.

He does have lots of Nike’s that have held up fine. Given my experience I would NOT recommend these shoes.

First things first: Looks alone I would give these a 100 out of 10. they are exquisite! I was a little concerned after reading that some were getting shipped pairs that were dirty or worn- mine came brand new sparkling clean out of the box.

Now for how they fit: I wear a size 12 and have narrow feet. Even having narrow feet, these shoes feel very narrow around the arch area right in front of the heel portion of my foot. It almost feels as if they are cupped and my feet extend over the outer edges.

Also, because the heel is slightly elevated with the air pod, it kind of forces your foot to slide down into the toe of the show. Lastly, the tongue is connected to the upper as one piece, so getting the shoe on is a little tight and you have to bend the back of the heel portion down to slide your foot in.

No major deal breakers, but for this much money and an iconic shoe brand such as Nike, I think these should fit and feel as good as they look. That is my reasoning for the 4 out of 5 star rating.

Purchased these shoes back in February and did so mainly for the style. However, I quickly realized that they were extremely comfortable! There is some weight to them but the construction of the shoe provided great support and helped correct my poor posture! I found myself walking upright and without slouching which others were able to notice as well.

I’d like to say about a month ago, I started to develop lower back pain, my posture isn’t as great anymore and the bottom of my feet would feel sore as if I was walking in flat sandals all day. I couldn’t pinpoint why until a few days ago when I purchased a new pair of shoes for running and had these shoes on that day.

The 990v5 no longer had the support, cushion and comfort it once had when I purchased these shoes six months ago which was a shocker, honestly. I believe with running shoes it’s recommended to switch out your shoes after 200-300 miles and even if I were to apply that to these shoes, I don’t think I’ve hit that mark yet.

For a bit of background, I primarily wear these shoes for light walks/running errands and they get rotated between other shoes/sandals. Now when I put these shoes on and start walking around in them, I’ll get so much pain and sensation in my lower back and feet.

I haven’t experienced this with my other shoes and I’ve had some for over 5-10 years. I do find it a bit interesting, I may just need a new pair and or perhaps insoles but for the cost of the shoes and insoles only to be replaced after six months of casual wear, it’s questionable.

Overall, I absolutely enjoyed them during the six months of having them but my back and feet are telling me I need to retire them and that’s what we’re going to do.

I am writing this review to let everyone know how this sneakers fit. I bought a pair of USA 990v5 Core and let me tell you I will never go back to Vionic sneakers or sketchers or any bogo fit out their.

This 990v5 are the best comfortable strong well fitted sneakers you can own. They are a bit price but I am a 215 pound woman 5’7 Tall and let me tell you I have very bad knee problems and a right ankle surgery.

These sneakers support so much my walking that I have been thinking Why in the world didn’t I buy these sneakers before. They are strong and very arch supportive they are stylish and can go with everything.

Since I love love love them so much I am owning the black and navy blue pairs as well so I can wear different colors and balance the sneakers. I hope they can come with a nice white pair as well and perhaps other nice colors too.

Please continue USA to make these wonderful classic stylish sneakers in where your feet has to wear the best. DON”T look at the price because our feet are our travelers and they deserved the Best. Please continue to make these sneakers as they are.

Shoes bought 8 months ago. Worn 3-4 times a week. Very good looking shoe and really comfortable. But not durable. Sole has split and inner lining is also torn. Very disappointed. My other shoes last much longer than this.

My first pair of Under Armours. And my last.

I wear out workout/walking shoes annually (regardless of the brand) by putting about 1300 miles on them. I bought this pair last year and liked them enough to replace with the same. And this time the price was like 1/2 of what I paid last year.

Yay for sales.

These are very soft and cushiony as a gym shoe. Even some light running they do okay. I do not know why the tongue is so big. Its like an old baseball cleat its so big. It is really wide and thick. You have to adjust it if you move a lot.

With a gym shoe you need everything to remain in place. Very comfy though. Looks great and feels great.

I can’t believe that I am finally owning my first pair of Converse shoes at the age of 50! Yup, I just said that. I have bad feet and my 21 yr old son recommended I try them. (We were at the store buying him another pair and he wore his out to the point of having holes in the bottom.

) I put on all sorts of miles in the first two days that I wore them and had no problems at all. I’m talking Disney World/Epcot kind of miles! I’ll also add that my back didn’t hurt either, and that’s a problem that I have with most flat shoes.

I found that the men’s 7 fit me better than the woman’s 9. I found them to be more comfortable. Be sure to try both if you try one pair and don’t love the fit. This is my second pair! I’ll be buying a third just to have yet another color.

I bought these as a gift for my boyfriend. He loves them! The literally can go with any casual outfit! Sizing is weird though. Converse run big. I suggest going down a size. It’s hard to find converse on sale or under $50 at retailers, I love DSW because you can use reward certificates on anything!.

These were the perfect last minute gift for my mother. She suffers from neuropathy since she had to undergo multiple cancer treatments. She loves the comfort they provide at the toe and as an added bonus they match most of her wardrobe.

She can even wear them with her dresses!.

These Nike Air Max 90s were the suggestion of one of my older sons, for his younger brother who started high school this year, so he would look like one of the ‘cool’ kids (“no brother of mine is going to look like a geek”).

His recommendation was that with these ‘curb stompers’, no one would bully his brother. And he was right! Not a single fight yet! Arrived super quick from Australia, as always, and youngest son reports they were a smidge tight to start (he has a broad foot) but now that he’s worn them a bit, they are super nice and comfortable to walk in.

I got these shoes because I’ve just started a new job and I needed some black shoes that were comfortable and well made. I went with these as they were all black and are benefitual for work. However I did find that for work they were expensive to just wear for work, however I would rather pay more for comfortable shoes than pay less for uncomfortable shoes.

Definitely recommend these shoes for either being on your feet all day or working long shifts. I’m doing 10 hour shifts so these will definitely help support my feet.

I recently purchased these beauties. I don’t usually buy these type of shoes, I’m normally a vans/converse person myself. But I needed a good comfy pair for work as I’m on my feed all day walking. And I must say, they ARE comfortable.

I no longer find my feet aching and hurting as much after work. I’m a size EU 39 and with most shoes I have to size half down, but with these I didn’t. They fit perfectly and exactly how I expected them to look!.

I just don’t know where to start, everything is so good about these shoes. My husband has had a massive stroke and can’t tie shoes, these open up very wide to get his stiff foot into, it accommodates his leg brace and he can put them on and pull the straps across and close with the Velcro closure one handed.

They come in a very wide size perfect for him, they wear very well and are incredibly comfortable. He uses the white/navy for every day and the black for dress. Best of all the price fits our fixed income much better than his previous $150.

Pair. It’s been 2 years and I just ordered his 3rd pair not because his are worn out but just to have another pair in case they discontinue these.

These shoes are extremely comfortable right out of the box. They are extremely light with a great arch, and comfort bed. If it’s Guide gear its quality made. The price is way less than any other name brands.

I have my hunting and cold weather boots by Guide gear also. You just can’t go wrong. The Guide gear brand just seems to last and stand up for years to come. These shoes are very well made. I like how light these shoes are.

The fit right out of the box I’d a winner also. They look like my old Nike Monarchs but in my opinion they are a better built shoe. I know they will last much longer than the Nike brand ,because they seem to be built much better with much nicer quality materials.

I don’t believe you will either. They are just so comfortable like you’ve worn them for weeks ,no breaking these in nor any sore feet from a new pair of shoes. These will be the shoes you’ve been looking for.

This is probably my 10th or more pair of the walking shoes. I have found them to be very comfortable and long lasting. I have pairs both at my home in Alaska as well as my “winter” home in the lower 48.

One good thing is usually the free shipping, though this time there was an Post Office up-charge of $10 to Alaska. (FED EX delivered them with no assistance of USPS) Still, they are a good bargain.

I really do LOVE the look & feel of these shoes, but they are quite a trick to get on! (And, YES, I do use the pull tab at the back!! A little afraid I might pull it off!) Hopefully, with repeated wearing, this process will get easier and these will earn a full 5-star rating!.

I just love these sneakers. They fit well and are padded. I like that the upper is knit and don’t have a separate tongue. Size 7. 5 fits like a 38 euro. These are wide enough for a D width foot. More khaki green than olive.

Please make these in charcoal and black.

Got the grey. Easy on/off, like a sock with a hard sole. Feels like a hug on my foot! I love the jewel detail on the heel, too! Adds a little pretty to a comfort shoe. I love that they aren’t tight at the ankles, and the back of the heel is stiff, so it doesn’t collapse when you put them on (still like a sock along the top, though, so no rub or digging!).

The Air Max 97 sneakers in white are my new favorite sneaker that I can wear to the gym, to hang out in the city, and to enjoy the newly arrived springtime weather. I wear a size 9. 5W and would say that the fit feels about the same compared to my other Nike sneakers.

I wear them primarily in a padded floor gym, which it is perfect for my HIIT and cardio workouts. Although I don’t plan to run in these sneakers, the reflective design is pretty cool and really makes the sneakers pop.

I recommend loosening up the laces on these sneakers for a more comfortable fit. The only issue I have with the shoe is the toe area is a bit narrow, so these are not really ideal for long periods of running.

I love Air Maxes and these Air Max 97s are a great addition to my collection.

Shoes are generally speaking ok. Some other more expensive brands will have a Napa leather while this is full grain. It’s still ok because it looks great, toe box has the best size out of all shoes out there.

Price is great, shipping time is great and customer service kind a average/below average. Insoles are super thick so your shoes will fell off of your foot, I had to buy another set of insoles for them.

I do have two pairs, black and white and I don’t know what will I think about them 1yr after.

When I first got them, they felt a bit tight around my toes but after a couple times wearing them while working, they formed better to my feet and no longer has that uncomfortable pressure on my big toes.

A great plus is how easy they are to slip on and take off and how light they feel. Five stars for fit and comfort. I haven’t tested the waterproofness of the shoe but that is where the potential deal breaker stems from.

Vessi claims the shoes are breathable and allow sweat to air out through them despite the waterproof knit design. It may be because it’s really hot in California but I immediately noticed they weren’t so breathable after my first full day of working in them.

At the end of my shift, when I took them off, my feet were sweatier than I remembered them being in other shoes and as a result stank quite terribly. It hasn’t seemed to improve much over the two weeks I’ve been wearing them to the point that my family has been urging that I consider returning them over the smell.

I’m less inclined to purchase the weekend shoes now as I was considering them as my none-work shoes before I smelled the exacerbated stinky feet caused by the everyday move shoes. To conclude, the fit and comfort is amazing but the stinky feet problem is slowly becoming a deal breaker as I’ve never really suffered much with before.

It makes me give the shoes a 2. 5 in that regards, thus averaging a 3. 75 star rating.

I love and am a full supporter of Vessi shoes. This new iteration of the men’s everyday move has continued to build on the the product that i’ve grown to love so much. The shoes look modern & fashionable, and really do live up to the functionality that they claim.

The soles are very durable and give great support. They make for great daily shoes regardless of weather. These shoes have really stood the test for me – I actually live in a tropical climate where I experience a lot of wetness and unexpected downpours of heavy rain.

Typhoons and torrential downpours are part of the weather patterns I experience, and Vessi’s truly have been a lifesaver for me. My feet stay dry, and I can still look good while trouncing around through some heavy tropical rain.

The shoes make for great travel shoes. I was a slow adopter, and used to avoid waterproof shoes because of the difficulty of finding a shoe that balances form and function well. In the past waterproof shoes lacked breathability (causing sweaty feet), and are not great as functional daily & active shoes.

Vessi’s seriously changed all of that for me. A friend would not stop recommending the shoes to me, and after one final soggy typhoon experience with waterlogged feet, I finally had to give it a try.

I purchased the first generation slip on 2 years ago. I wore them almost every single day for the last two years and they were just as nice on day 730 as they were on day 1. I went on a week-long hiking trip last month and, after arriving at my hotel, realized I forgot my hiking boots.

I decided I was still going to hike and that I was going to put my slip-ons through the most rigorous test of their lives. Let me tell you something, they worked AMAZING. My feet were dry, comfortable, and aired out throughout all the hot days in the woods and caves.

I was amazed, I had decided I was never going to wear hiking boots again unless I planned on hiking through a river. Then tragedy struck on the last day of my vacation. I slipped walking up a rock, raking the side of my foot against the sharp jagged rock.

My first generation slip-on gave its life protecting my foot in one final act of amazingness. My foot was completely unscathed, but a large gaping hole had been torn into the side of my slip-on. Now that I am in a better state of mind after having given my first pair of slip-on a proper send-off and funeral last week, I decided I was ready to move on and bought the new version of the slip-on.

They are just as amazing and this time I was able to get all black which looks stunning! TLDR: Took my old vessis hiking, ended up buying another pair. 10/10.

Cute style, comy food bed. However, on the first wear, they made me bleed. I read all the reviews that said the back of the sneaker rubs the achilles raw, and didn’t listen. When I tried them on at home, I thought maybe the issue wouldn’t affect me.

Alas, I was wrong. First wear out of the house was a 30 minute walk w/ my dog, and I came back with blood in both shoes (I bought the white ones too). Could feel the rubbing in the first 10 minutes, and after that, it was a painful walk.

Everlane- you need to start listening to feedback from your customers and responding accordingly. Especially if this is an evergreen style. This would be an easy fix. lower the back a touch, or make it less concave and cuppy at the top of the back, or even add a little padding at the back a la Vans slip ons.

This is the 3rd pair of shoes I’ve bought from Everlane that haven’t worked out. Maybe I should stop buying shoes from here. Going to try and stick some store bought padding in the back and hope that fixes the issue.

Otherwise, these are going straight to Goodwill as they are unwearable as is. I’m thankful I bought these on sale, but such a waste of money if I can’t even wear them. If you do dare to purchase these.

I read most of the mixed reviews and decided to purchase it. The look is everything I expected, super on-style, modern, good support, not white but off-white that I prefer. It goes with pretty much any casual or business-casual edge look! I sized up a half size, and I don’t think it was necessary, and I only did due to reviews and previous Everlane purchases, but my feet are average width and have plenty of room (maybe because I sized up to a 7.

5 and we will never know because I am keeping it). In regards to hurting in the back, it is a reality. It digs in your feet and wounds, and I think it is because the shoe’s shape is designed higher than most sneakers.

I wore it and will continue to break in because it is that cute! Before I forget I wore with no see socks.

My first thought when I opened the box : “what a beautifully made shoe”. The color is soft cream canvass. The rubber sole with logo in the back. Everything looks so put together. Initially ordered size 7 but was too tight so exchanged for 7,5.

Happy Returns made the whole process so simple – really appreciate that! Wore my 7,5 for the first time yesterday. Did a looot of walking. Don’t recommend that since the shows need breaking in period and what started as a comfortable day ended up in blisters.

After purchasing these shoes, I wore them just to run errands. I have very normal, non-problematic feet, but these shoes hurt the arch and ball of my foot to the point that I was almost in tears. For the next 3 days I had to wear soft bedroom slippers because I was still experiencing the pain! I’ve worn every brand of sneaker, but I’ve never experienced anything like this before.

Since I wore the shoes, Bloomingdales wouldn’t allow me to return them. So, I’m donating a pair of expensive sneakers to Goodwill. I’m certainly done with On and I’m done with Bloomingdales!!!.

This is my third pair of Cloudnovas. Wonderfully comfortable for park walk, the gym, weights. These are not as black as they look on the website. More dark grey than the black version of this shoe. But still nice.

I am a 6 in both the white and black versions but these did seem to come up a tiny bit smaller? I probably should have gone up a half size. But they still fit.

Probably the most comfortable shoes I’ve tried. The was no squeezing or pressure of any kind. It’s almost like not wearing a shoe. I thought it would be big because it’s a half size larger than what I would normally buy, but it fit perfect.

However, I didn’t get to actually walk in them because it is bulkier than I would like. It’s too bad because they look really nice online.

As with most minimalist white leather shoes under $200, these are absolutely gorgeous but are extremely uncomfortable. I know that Italian leather shoes take time to break in, however these are also loud during the process of breaking in.

They’re almost as loud as the leather on the Oliver Cabell white leather minimalist shoes. If I had any tips for the good man brand it would be to invest in better leather or treat the leather so that it isn’t so stiff and a comfortable.

These are a super quality shoe and they always get compliments when I wear them. Could be a little more comfortable, but are by no means uncomfortable. Wish something stopped the tongue from sliding to the side but I think thats pretty normal for this kind of shoe.

Would definitely purchase another pair though. Woulda given 4. 5 stars if I could have!.
