Best Small Suv For Gas Mileage (2023 Updated)

Have had these tires on for about a month now. Pros = Good price, design pattern is nice and suitable for both on and off road use, load range capacity meets my requirements. Cons = Appears to wear out quicker than my old set of tires (KO2), a bit noisier than I would like, some vibration at high speed over 70mph.

Other than the above comments, I would say it’s definitely a good buy if you want decent tires at a more affordable price.

I really like the look and feel of these tires. The shipping was great, the customer service was too. The tires grab and look beefy. I put them on my truck and expected a rough ride looking at the tread since it looked a little off road.

But the ride is smooth. Great tire and I’d buy them again. The Walmart price was excellent.

Very smooth and quiet tires. This is the 3rd set of tires I have had on this vehicle and these are the best so far. Much better than the Michelin Latitude Tour and Cooper Evolution Tour tires used previously.

Walmart’s price was incredible. I was able to get them while they were on sale, plus Pirelli was offering a rebate at the time. Between the sale and the rebate, the per tire price was $87LESS than the regular price.

That saved me $261! Plus they were shipped to my house for free and arrived in only 3 days. Walmart said it would take 7 days, but they shipped them right away and arrived in only 3. Amazing service! I paid a mobile tire installer to come out to my house and install the new tires.

A great experience from start to finish. If I had to criticize one thing, it would be the age of the tires I was sent. One of the three tires had a manufacture date of February 2020. The other three tires were all June 2021.

Surprised that Walmart would have a 2 year old tire sitting around considering how much business they must do. Most likely a case where old stock gets pushed to the back instead of rotated to the front when restocking.

However, that is just a nit pick since the tire was the same make and model and size and balanced perfectly. Great tires so far! I used to use Pirelli tires decades ago and for some reason stopped. Now that I am using them again I am not sure why I ever stopped as they make a great product.

Ordered 2, 1 as replacement tire and a 2nd as a matching spare to go with the 4 new ones I had new a month ago (one of the 4 new ones had their sidewall cut by road debris). Had weird white stuff on the second set of black wall tires that took 3 scrubbings from full strength tire cleaner to sort of get off.

Eventually with tire shine it looks like the other 4 new tires. The original 4 new Pirelli’s from BB Wheels 2 months ago didn’t have this crunchy white almost like salt residue. In terms of ride and handling they seem fine.

Too early to gauge how much of improvement over OEM these are for wet, dry braking, handling and traction.

About 1000 miles into these tires. I bought them to replace some Firestone tires that weren’t even half worn out (the Firestone tires were extremely poor!). So far, these tires perform world’s better than my previous.

They’re installed on an AWD Dodge Charger. I’ve experienced deep snow recently in Michigan and dry and wet pavement. I cannot attest to the tread wear lifetime as they’re too new to me. Hopefully I’ll remember to make an update next year after I have more than 1k miles in on them.

So far, these have been the best performing tires I’ve had on our Honda Fit Sport. This year’s winter has been one of the snowiest and coldest on record. and these tires have exceeded what I ever expected.

Very nice riding and grippy. The car doesn’t seem to slip on the ice as much. Last year’s trip to Duluth went off without a hitch, as these tires handled the twists and turns of the North Shore just fine.

Great in rain too. We’re really good at regularly maintaining our car, so I’ll keep an eye on what the other reviewers we’re saying about sidewall bulge. I have faith in these and would DEFINITELY recommend them otherwise.

Let me start by saying that I’m a spirited driver. I like taking turns fast. And these tires hold up to my driving style extremely well. Very confidence inspiring. Great for acceleration, braking, and cornering.

Not a whimper from them, where my last tires (Sumitomos of the same tier and price) would squeal all over the place on turns or if I let the clutch out too fast. Great grip in the dry and very good in the rain (no ABS here to save me, either).

And they’re actually very competent in snow, to the point that I’ve been able to work my way through everything except snow taller than the ride height of my car (6. 3″ per Honda). At that point, it’s not the fault of the tires, just time to break out the shovel.

Never got completely stuck in the snow because of these tires, never lost traction. And I do go out often when it snows. Will continue to buy these tires as long as I have this car (96 Accord), and possibly for future cars.

These tires are a great fit for my 03 grand am. We have only put a few thousand miles on them so far and they have held up well. They do well in the rain and are excellent in dry conditions. I am a aggressive driver and like to test the limits of the tires to know where my limitations are.

I dont have many concerns with these tires on sharp corners as they grip and hold tight and dont let go. I love the value for what you get. There is a little more tire noise than I would prefer but its livable.

So we have a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan that has about 112,000 miles on it. Most of it is freeway/expressway driving, as we drive cross-country frequently, several times a year. This is the vehicle we used this product on.

The product says it is good for 3,000 miles, which is about how often you get your oil changed, so we decided to use this about halfway through oil changes, so at around 1,500 miles since the last oil change.

We did not notice any difference mileage wise. We calculated our own MPG, plus the onboard computer does that for us. But we DID notice a difference in how the vehicle performed. It shifted between gears easier, especially during fast takeoffs or accelerations.

You could tell that the engine was laboring a little less. Was it night and day? No. But it was a definite noticeable difference. It also helped with our reverse gear. Sometimes the vehicle reverses a little rough, shaky, shuddery, especially at low speeds.

Oil changes never seemed to effect this. But with this product, the reverse capability was definitely smoother. I think we will definitely be adding this to our vehicle care repertoire. It is easy to use, and VERY affordable, and I think with all the environmental additives we add and keep adding to our gasolines, this can definitely help clean out the system and get some of the gunk and grime out.

I received the Gumout Regane High Mileage Fuel System Cleaner in 6 oz to use in my 2015 Jeep Cherokee with 101,000 miles on it. I was excited to try this product because I haven’t used any fuel system cleaners in the past.

My Jeep was noticeably lacking in horsepower, pickup and MPG. This product is very easy to use; you wait until the car is about empty, pour the whole bottle in the gas tank and then top off with up to 21 gallons of gas.

Then you drive the vehicle until it’s almost empty again and fill the tank with gas. I noticed almost an immediate difference, my Jeep had better acceleration and I noticed a slight increase in MPG. I wish I had used this product sooner but I will from now on use this with every oil change.

It states on the bottle you can use this every 3k miles. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with over 75k miles on their vehicles.

I’d been a fan of engine cleaners since the days of running an auto-shop. Gunk (that’s a technical term, lol ) coats the inner walls of the fuel delivery system. Over time the build up of gunk starts to degrade the smooth running of the engine.

Using a good detergent with water-removal capabilities will bring back the fuel system to factory specs. Our little Hyundai was starting to make some extra noise and vibrations. I suspected it wasn’t getting a balanced flow of fuel to burn at all the cylinders.

A clogged fuel injector or two. Added the Gumout to the tank and filled it with gas. Within a day of freeway driving (long commute) and we are sensing an improvement with smoother operation. If this prevents me from needing to get my hand dirty under the hood, then it is money well spent.

I purchased these for my Mercedes GL 450 SUV. These tires are feel great, are quite and look attractive. The reason I choose the Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus because of the way the tires rubber-to-void ratio is optimized.

It ensures even tread wear without having to constantly be getting a alignment (unless really needed). It also uses a uniform contact patch where circumferential grooves help the tire in getting rid of the water so that it doesn’t affect its handling.

There are also lateral and longitudinal sipes that add biting edges for reliable winter driving. These tires handling capabilities on all types of terrain are next level for an SUV. They are comfortable and quiet and have a 65k mile warranty.

I live on some very rough roads and these tires make a rough ride a smooth ride am very happy with the tires.

In my view this are the best tires you can have for your money. Delivery was fast in just 3 days and Walmart installation value package with road hazard coverage is great as well. Already bought set of tires for another car.

I own a 2013 Honda Pilot AWD. The tires seem great so far. There were several reviews around about excessive road noise. I would say that is not true at all. They are very quite. These new tires need to be put on with the yellow sticker/dot in – something about how they are made that requires the tires to be installed that way.

I bet the noisy tires were put on backwards. Bought them right – all in, including installation with $60 Pirelli rebate was $550! Look forward to the snow! The rain has been no match for these.

Second time purchasing these tyres for my 2014 Prado as I only require road tyres, not AT. Found them to live up to the stated claims, good economy, long wearing, quiet, good in the wet. I hope this set lasts as well as the first !.

These tires were the factory tire on my 2013 Chevy Malibu Eco. I got 68,500 miles on these tires before my wife ruined one. I still had about 10,000 more miles left before needing replacement. I did notice that the ride became more rough and it was easier to squeal the tires as they aged due to the rubber hardening.

I purchased 4 new ones and the ride became smooth again. With proper rotation, these tires should easily last 65,000 miles and remain quiet the whole time. Traction was also very good in the rain and snow.

I would definitely recommend these tires.

Beautiful tire with great quality rubber. Universal tread patterns make it a dream for tire rotations. Drive your car right and honestly, you wouldn’t even need to get an alignment often. These tires are great in roads that do not drain very well from water and snow.

I have not driven on icy roads that have not been salted so I cannot speak for the full winter value of the tire.

I replaced a set of Goodyear Assurance Comfort Tread with these Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max. Fuel Max does not have as much traction as the Comfort Tread, but our mini-van has high mileage and don’t expect it will be our family’s primary vehicle 3 years from now, so for the price savings, I decided these Fuel Max tires will suffice.

We have driven them in light snow and rain and they performed fine. We made a 500+ mile round-trip and we did get better than average gas mileage. There are a lot of variables that factor into gas mileage, but these tires might have been one of the factors.

Overall I am pleased with the tires, but have only driven them for around 1000 miles.

We have tried many other makes of GPS, and found this one responds fastest and most accurate. Others like the Garmin take a long time to receive signal, but this one picks up the signal in literally a few seconds on the road.

Looking up for department stores and restaurants are very easy and info is quite up to date. But, the best thing I like about it is the Lifetime Traffic feature. It helps you to pick the most convenient road with least busy traffic to get from point A to point B.

Suggested improvement would be that it automatically turns on the “avoid traffic” feature without doing it manually. But this one has to be manual control to select “avoid traffic” it won’t take over your preference.

Another thing that I like in other Roadmate but misses in this one is that estimate arrival time–you, again, has to push a button to see it–unlike the older one which displays it on the main screen.

Overall a great trustworthy GPS.

The display isn’t really easy to read like my Garmin Nuvi 205W, it doesn’t have a heads up speedometer (have to tap to show speed and it disappears in a few seconds), graphics just aren’t as good. Haven’t used it for turn by turn navigation yet.

Otherwise it does do the job.

needed a new gps, had a magellan in the past so stuck with the same brand. Features are good and user friendly but the touch screen is horrible! The reverse arrow would hardly work and wouldn’t register half of what you type in! This particular model needs some work in the r&d department! I am personally going to replace it soon with a better model, very frusterating to use!.

I wanted something pretty aggressive for offroading as well as the look for on road. What I really didnt expect was just how well these tires actually do on the streets. Not too loud, dont pull real bad, and have had great traction in snow and rain in NH.

Offroad these tires really shine. Excellent grip in rocks, mud and trails. Easily cleaning their tread by spinning up. I will be buying another set when i wear these out.

I had the NITTO trail grapplers in a 35×12. 5r20. they looked great lots of compliments. These yokohamas though, what an upgrade so far. I got 62k miles out of my nittos and rotated them once. I got these Yokohama tires at a price of about $600-$1000 less.

the real savings is in who you have install them. That’s another $500. Buying these tires and doing the route i decided, i saved around $1400 from my original qoute of full install. I saved over a thousand dollars, my gas milage has gone up, my tires are quiter, adn my gas mileage has raised 3 miles.

Awsome tires! I have been running BFG T/A for 20 years and have been missing out. Excelent ride quality and the wet traction is incredible. Road noise is no greater than worn T/A s. Would highly recommend these tires for daily driver and off road.

While the self sealing feature have saved me a couple of times, these tires have worn out much too quickly. They came with my 2017 Chevy Bolt and are rated for 65000 miles but even though I have rotated them every 7500 miles as recommended by Chevy, the tread wear indicators on all four tires show that they need to be replaced at only 38500 miles.

Thats more than 40% off the rated range.

Michelin energy saver are indeed fuel efficient on my 2018 Honda Accord Hybryd. They give a great ride. However I am replacing them after 39K miles. (They still have 3/32nd wich is critical for safety)They came in new car.

They have evenly worn due to good rotation and alignment and proper tire pressure. Ride is a little noisy on concrete interstate I-95 but great stability, smooth and braking.

I never get the recommended rating on tires. I drive a little faster and aggressive and if I get 80 percent it is a plus. The tires are rotated every 5,000 miles and always check the pressure. I have 43,000 miles on these and can probably get 2,000 more.

These tires have handled well in all types of weather including snow. They are very smooth and handle exceptionally well at higher speeds. I originally put Michelin’s on my Escalade and was extremely happy with them.

I decided put them Michelin’s on my Lexus and don’t think I’ll go back to any other brand.
