Best Sippy Cup For Breastfed Baby (2023 Updated)

Before returning from maternity leave, I did a lot of research on which bottles would be best for breastfed babies and Munchkin Latch seemed to be the winner. I bought a few bottles of my own and then received this gift set in exchange for an unbiased review.

PROS -My breastfed baby switches from this bottle to my breast without any issues. This is my favorite thing about the Munchkin Latch! I love not having to worry about my baby not eating while he is at daycare and away from me.

-My second favorite thing about this set is that it includes the breast pump adapter!!! Ok maybe this ties with my first point as far as being my favorite thing about this set. Before I got the adapters, I would have to pump into the medela bottles and then pour the milk into the Munchkin bottles, which meant I had to clean two bottles every time I pumped (a big pain in the butt for a new mom).

Now with this adapter that fits my medela pump, I can just pump straight into the Munchkin bottles. SCORE. -Easy to clean. I love the bottle cleaner that comes with this set. It reaches all the way into the bottom of the bottles and nipples so that I can get them clean easily.

Also, there’s not a million parts to take apart. -Even though we don’t use a pacifier, I love that this set includes a pacifier that has the same nipple as the bottles. This makes it less confusing for baby to switch between different bottles, pacifiers, and breast, etc.

-I love how the nipples moves from side to side and I feel that it more closely resembles a real breast/nipple than any other bottle on the market. -BPA free is always good in my book 🙂 CONS -The bottle nipple sometimes gets sucked into the bottle/inverted when feeding it to my son.

It’s pretty aggravating because he gets aggravated that the milk is not coming out as it should and it also makes a mess because milk spills on him. I would say this happens at least once per week (according to his daycare).

-It’s hard to find different size nipples at local stores and online. We are sticking with stage 1 size nipple to more resemble the breast flow and it was hard to find more stage 1 nipples (without buying the bottles too).

Couldn’t find them at Kroger or Walmart. Finally found them at Target.

A little back info: I have a five month old baby who was a 30 weeker at birth. She took a long time to learn to eat orally. In the hospital, she really disliked the hospital grade bottles and nipples.

When we finally tried her Dr Browns bottles we had purchased, started to do much better. My daughter has had colic and reflux. A few months later, I was gifted this set in exchange for my honest review.

I was so excited! My sister in law swears by these bottles and has used them for the past year for my niece! She is an incredibly happy baby. She has never had any issues with colic, reflux, or refusing bottle to breast.

They love that she will continue to nurse and the similarities between these bottles and the breast. My daughter refused to take these bottles, however. I think she was just too used to the more narrow Dr Browns bottles.

With a next child, I will try these first as I believe they more closely resemble the breast. I love that these can be used for breast milk or formula. Also love the modern look of these bottles. This gift set is a great value and includes everything a family would need to exclusively bottle feed a baby or bottle and breast feed.

I thought I’d love these bottles after researching SO many bottles. However, the nipples collapse way too often and the nipple inverts, pushes up into itself. I have to interrupt feeding way to often.

After a week or two of using them, I notice the nipple hole gets clogged. I have to pierce it to make it work. I hate that I wasted that money. I’m going with Mam bottles. They work the best.

The only cup my exclusively breastfed baby would drink out of!! After extreme bottle refusal I lost hope. I’m so happy I gave this a try at 4 months. The spout is so squishy and (real) nipple like. Traditional bottle nipples were too hard for my baby and just spit it out.

It’s also lightweight and very easy to clean. Game changer!!.

This is a great cup for baby. Got it for my daughter at nine months old. Spillproof completely prevent messes on baby and environment. Got the hot pink color and it’s so adorable. Cleans very well. I only use for pear juice and water.

Easy to clean and sterilized great.  great affordable price point for quality product.

When my son started drinking milk regularly I found myself constantly putting his cups in and out of the fridge. This cup makes it so I can get his cup ready in the morning and he can have access to it all day without the milk souring.

My concern when I was looking into it was the weight and if he could hold it, as he was only about a year old and had previously only used the training cup with the handles. Luckily, while reading reviews I saw that the lids are compatible so you can use the larger cup with the handled lid.

That is how we have used it for the couple of months we have had it and I rarely use any other cups anymore.

Just got this for my son and love it. I shook it upside down and no spillage. At first I thought it wasn’t working, and had to test it for myself. Water is flow is regulated so it doesn’t all spill and choke little one.

They need to make an adult version ! Also love the fact that it comes with a lid to keep dust off of lip. Although, the first time I used it, the lid somehow detached and ended up on the dusty ground outside :(.

The Munchkin Stainless Steel Miracle 360 cup is quite the contraption! I’ll be honest, upon first opening the packaging, I had to read through the instructions to figure out what each of the pieces were, how to properly put this cup together, and how to use it! But after figuring it out (and once I read the instructions once I didn’t need them again), I found that this cup is pretty incredible! Biggest perk: it is spill proof! I’ve had other cups that claimed to be spill proof, but then I ended up with a soggy diaper bag.

this one holds up! I love that I can just toss it into my purse or diaper bag and not worry about ruining anything. I tested this theory a lot (like I said, I’ve learned the hard way): I shook it, tipped it, held it upside down – not a drop came out! Another thing that I love about this cup is that it keeps beverages warm or cold for several hours! Our toddler loves cold milk, which is hard to keep cold once it is out of the fridge.

I love that I can put cold milk (or anything else) into this cup, and when we’re out and about, an hour later, he can still enjoy his cold milk (bonus: avoiding a meltdown because he doesn’t like the warm milk!).

The only downfall, which really isn’t, is that there isn’t an obvious spout, because your kiddo can drink from any part of the lip! We had to show our toddler this, and he seemed a bit skeptical at first, but once he figured it out we were golden!.

Durable, colorful product that is sturdy and does not leak. I think that this is a great sippy cup for my son’s age since he is a new toddler (1 year old). He uses it and it is very straightforward, unlike other products I’ve seen in stores and online.

It doesn’t have many parts to it which make it convenient and easy to use and clean. The only reason why I noted four stars is because the beautiful colors in the pictures rubbed off a little bit after one wash.

My child won’t even notice this though so not a big deal. I feel like this product will last for awhile in our house. Also, it came in a nice package which is always appealing to the eye.

What a great product! This is one of the best sippy cups i have ever used. It has a tight seal and doesnt leak at all from the rim of the cup or from the drinking spout. It is easy to clean and the rubber spout seal comes off simply to be cleaned which is great, because that part tends to grow mold and can be difficult to clean.

My daughter is doing well with this cup. I really like the removable handles also. This cup is very well made with a nice durable high quality plastic. Also the design is super cute. Definitely recommend this product and all products from this brand.

I received this product from Tommee Tippee to try out. So far I am happy with this product and would purchase. It is very easy to clean & put together. I like that you can use with or without the handles, perfect for when baby is ready to transition and makes putting it in the diaper bag easier.

My baby loves the cup too, he’s teething and loves to chew on the spout part which is some kind of material other than plastic…so it makes a squeaky sound when he chews on it. This cup also doesn’t make a mess when he drinks like the ones with soft nipples do.

This is a great cup & would recommend!.

Looks great but fails in the most basic of uses. You cannot suck water through the straw, as a grown man I cannot get any liquid out. Not sure if it is an issue with the internal straw length or something else but I bought this two days ago and suffice to say it’s going back as useless.

On my experience and it seems other reviewers I would advise you look elsewhere.

I really like the quality and the handling of this cup. Water stays cold while outdoors and in the car. However, it doesn’t fit into the car seat cup holder nor the stroller cup holders. It’s annoying and I recommend to change the design to be able to fit standard size cup holders.

It’s hard to get water out of the straw. Baby tried many times but nothing came out. I gave it a few tries and figure out you need to bite down the stopping valve and suck. This is pretty tough for a small baby.

So steer clear of this bottle.

These cups have been a life saver for transitioning my kids to taking a cup. The soft mouthpiece makes it easier to transition to a cup. It also makes the cup lighter and easier to handle for the baby/tot.

My only conplaint about the cup is that I find it hard to keep the spout in the proper place. I find it shifts as it seals which can be frustrating when a baby is screaming but minor in the scheme of things.

**My son would give it a perfect rating just because it has a penguin on it.

Spills and drips like crazy. I swear the packaging had a water drop crossed out so I thought it’d be leak proof but the cap doesn’t stay on and the spout leaks with just the weight of water. My bebe with tip it over and “milk it” spilling water allllll over themselves.

They get so wet I have to change their clothing. I never fill it so I know there’s less water for them to spill on themselves and the floor. Not recommended except for price point and easy to clean.

Hate these cups! Unfortunately they’re the only ones my son will use now, even though he gets drenched every time he lays down with one. Don’t buy these cups! I have to wash all of his bedding, blankets and stuffed animals if not every day, then every other day.

I have never seen such a stupid design for the lid of a sippy cup and the fact they advertise it as “spill proof” really makes me mad.

I heard about these from our pediatrician and I love and trust her, which makes me wonder if I have just managed to get three defective 360 cups in a row. They don’t leak at all. If they’re sitting upright.

But then again neither does a regular glass. The second it tips over, it leaks. And if it falls (or rather, is chucked as toddlers are known to do) it’s an almost comical explosion, likely prompting the gremlin to do it again and again and again bc that’s what she did.

We’ve used these cups for like a year. All because money was spent on them and I didn’t feel right replacing them just because they’re annoying and almost useless. They do still hold liquid. For a bit.

But I have hated them the entire year. The only plus on these, and you know what I’ll bump my one star up to two for this, is there aren’t any crevices for things to get stuck in. Their other cups, with the spouts, you need a detailing kit to get them clean.

So much so that she only drinks water out of them at all anymore. Anyway, this cup is not a good one. It’s not terrible. But it’s not good.

I loved the idea of this for my son and I can say they lasted him quite a while but I have noticed the dirt line in the rim of the holes. I have 3 children under 5 and can say am a pro at washing and disinfecting bottles and cups.

Thinking I have every bottle cleaning brush there is known to man thought that one would be small enough to fit in the holes but I have yet to find a TINY brush that will actually fit. Sadly one cup is down and another one has held up.

I am hopeful that I will one day find that brush that will simply get into those little holes and I can continue using a perfectly good cup. Until then, it is set aside with boiling water and continued brushing in hopes it will eventually come out.

But will say this has helped BIG time with weaning my son off the bottle and taught him how to drink properly.

I had high hopes – but these cups were AWFUL! If my toddler hadn’t dropped one on the pavement Day 1 & scuffed it (on the edge of the lid where her lips rest, no less), I would have returned them. Any time they’re dropped, a huge spray of liquid leaves the cup.

Meaning that the floor is wet quite quickly, if toddler drops the cup 2-3 times in a row. Also, they leak like crazy when the lip is lifted even a tiny bit. Lots of surprises with that one. Third, you literally have to pull the lid apart every night to let the cup air dry, to keep the lid from getting slippery (yuck) in between the silicone & plastic screw top.

I definitely regret this purchase!.

The cup is insulated, so it will keep your milk cool. The straw is made from silicone, so it has some give to it and won’t hurt your child’s mouth if they hit into a wall while drinking out of the straw.

The straw cup is leak-proof and easy to take with you. It’s also dishwasher safe to make cleaning easy. The cup is also listed as having a drop guard bumper on it to prevent the lid from breaking. The straw cup has a straw inside to enable drinking upright.

My 19 month old kept forgetting that it isn’t the same as her other sippy cups and kept tipping it back to try to drink out of it. Of course, that doesn’t work. I think she just needs to get used to it.

But she does like the straw cup. Overall, this is a really nice insulate straw cup that is truly leak-proof. It is pretty easy to drink out, I did test that myself. My daughter like to carry things around, so super nice that the drop guard bumper will prevent the lid from breaking after being dropped too much.

Super easy to clean and carry around.

I was really happy when I got this straw cup in the mail! It is such an adorable design. I was impressed to notice that it is very lightweight. Other straw cups can be pretty heavy and that’s not great for my infant to carry herself.

Otherwise the cups are durable feeling and built nicely. I was most pleased to see that there was no leaking even turned upside down or shaken. Leaking is my #1 pet peeve with kid’s cups. I was also happy that it’s easy to take apart all the components for thorough cleaning.

There weren’t really any spots for liquid to get stuck and turn funky. I love the flip lid over the straw as well. My infant had no problems using it. I’d recommend this one for sure!.

Very cute and durable cup! The design is so adorable and the top is easy to use. My 2 year old has no problem opening and closing the lid. There are multiple pieces to take apart and clean but I would rather have more pieces to take apart than have mold in on of my kids cups! The cup feels very durable and the best part is that it is actually spill proof!!! This is been tested by my 2 year old son by shaking it and putting it upside down then shaking it again.

Lol. He was very disappointed that it would not leak. Lol. Overall a great cup and easy to use so I will be ordering for my other 2.

I find this product as good as the previous reviews had stated. There is however, one issue that should be addressed, disassembly for a complete cleaning. My daughter noticed some “gunk” (for the lack of knowing what it really was) leaking out from beneath the orange dome while hand washing the cup.

I then searched this site to find instructions but there were none to be found. After fifteen minutes of trying to take it apart without breaking it I was able to separate all the pieces. Like most baby or infant products all parts should be accessible for a good, healthy cleaning.

A set of how to instructions would complete this item for my five star-rating.

I have a 9 1/2 month old and recently have needed to supplement her with formula. I had only tried 2 bottles; which she absolutely hated and refused, when a friend suggested I try a straw cup. Specifically the mOmma.

By then, I researched numerous brands, as I needed something where the ounces where imprinted on the cup, to make formula measuring easy. low and behold, this straw cup has worked. Though it’s for a 12 month old, my 9 1/2 month old loves it.

she drinks out of the straw with ease and supplementing her is no problem. I totally recommend this for anyone having issues with a baby accepting bottles. totally give a straw cup a try. Another plus, it does not spill.

I wish I would have listened to the reviews about it being hard to use. For some reason the straw is not like a normal straw. It actually needs to be slightly bitten or something in order to suck liquid up it.

My son is 13 mths and can use a regular straw but he couldn’t get anything out of this one. I tried it and realized it worked but was hard to make it flow with a normal suck. I guess thats what makes it soill proof but not the easiest to use.

Otherwise, its a good cup.

Had opted out of this campaign, but still received this product and didn’t think I would use it. However, my youngest (10) always has a drink for throughout the night and has poor co ordination with her autism.

So there are frequent knock overs and drops of bottles/cups resulting in the inevitable spillages over herself, toys, bed and floor! Then the upheaval of cleaning it all up, not to mention trying to clean and dry those toys she simply can’t sleep without.

So one evening I was sat in my living room and looked at box box of goodies and decided to give the cup a try that night. It had never occurred to me to try an anti spill cup. I haven’t looked back! IT’S FANTASTIC!!!!! It’s survived the drops, and tipping as she nods off mid drink.

She, her toys, bed and floor have stayed dry and I’ve avoided the late/early hours bed changes, and clean ups. Most importantly she hadn’t been through the upheaval and upset which usually comes with the mid nighttime spillages.

They say things happen for a reason and I think that might be why I received this campaign despite opting out! Thank You Influenster!.

This cup is a great idea in theory, to teach baby to drink from a cup without spilling, but my granddaughter just can’t get the hang of it, gets frustrated and gives up. I have tried drinking from it myself and you do need some suction to get any liquid.

I love the design, it comes with a handy lid too to prevent any leaks while in transit and also protects from germs. I think my granddaughter would benefit from a handle, and the design I got sent didn’t have one.

I will persevere and hopefully she will get the hang of it eventually before moving on to a cup. The product is easy to clean, the cup comes apart completely so there is nowhere for germs to hide, and there is a measurement scale so you can see exactly how much your baby is drinking, handy if using for milk.

I would recommend this product.

I have received a complimentary sample as part of Nuk and Influenster voxbox campaign and gifted this cup to my 18 month old niece. My brother’s daughter loves drinking cups and them as busy parents try to find any good cup for every day outing or trips and easy to carry any liquids without spilling.

They have tried and tested this cup for the first time and tested for two weeks now. They really like the cup and apparently does not spill, it is easy to wash and drink from. It has great design and does not leave any nasty smells.

It is easy to pop in dishwasher or steriliser and pattern does not wear down. They would highly likely purchase this product.

I first purchased the munchkin straw cup so I could feed my baby smoothies when I made smoothies for myself in the morning. That cup was great however the bottom kept getting stuck on the plastic cup so she could never set anything out.

The Zolli solves that! Well I still primarily use the munchkin for her thicker shakes or use the dolly for water and thinner shakes that I make for her because the straw width is smaller and the frozen shakes won’t pass through.

I also love that Zolli has measurements on the side. That way when I am transitioning her from bottle formula to formula from the cup it is obviously easier to do it directly from this vs measuring in a separate container and pouring in.

We have always had great luck with these cups and used them for both of our kids. They are a great introduction to a straw cup for babies. They can get water out no matter what angle they’re holding it at, and the straw is nice and narrow so they don’t take on big gulps and choke.

The odd time it can leak around the lid if you don’t screw it on properly, but it’s an easy fix. We bough the little Zoli straw cleaner which makes it super easy to clean the straw. We also use them for only water which makes them easy to clean too.

I love Dr. Brown bottles even if they were a pain to clean, so I thought transitioning to the training cup under the same brand would be a success. It wasn’t. The nipple is so hard and difficult to clean.

The handles are separated from the cover so washing multiple pieces gets annoying.

Great sippy. Not complicated to put together and never leaks! Love the cover to protect the mouth piece too. The measurements (oz and ml) come in handy, especially since my daughter has been in the hospital for about 5 months, so we can easily keep track of how much of her required formula she is getting at each feed.

I even had my husband drive home to get it vs using what the hospital gives us! My only complaint is that the handles are not in a fixed position and that piece can rotate around the whole cup. So it is not very easy for my daughter, who is relearning how to hold it herself, to grab it and just put it in her mouth in a normal position.

You have to turn the handles around to be adjacent to the spout. That is really annoying. Other than that too, the Occupational Therapist here said that this is a fantastic cup that she wishes they had here because of the amount of suction needed to get the milk (and you don’t have to worry about them getting too much too fast) which would be a huge benefit for some of her patients!.

I bought this soft-spout transition cup for my little one to help train him to eventually convert to a normal cup. It was an amazing purchase. He easily transitioned from his bottle to the soft spout cup since the handles were perfect for baby hands to grip and the spout was easy to sip from.

He quickly caught on and loved to carry around his cup everywhere! The flip top lid is every parents dream come true! No spills. No mess. No fuss. It’s easy to travel with and I don’t have to worry about it tipping over in the diaper bag and leaking everywhere! I highly recommend this cup for transitioning from a bottle and eventually to a cup!.

My son is VERY picky about which cups he will use or not. He loves this one! It is easy for him to use and he has yet to get the lid off, which he does with just about every other cup he has. I like how easy to clean this cup is, and Brandon likes the big handles.

I really like how the membrane to control flow is on the inside so he can’t get his fingers into it, and it all comes apart for easy cleaning. I would recommend this cup as well as buy it again.

My 4 minths old refused to take feeding bottle. Then I tried the evenflo infant cup. It was like majic. I gave him water and milk using the evenflo infant cup. He didn’t take any other cup apart from it.

i use these trainer cups for my daughters water while eating her breakfast foods, lunch foods, and dinner foods. love the design of the handles, it makes it easier for my little one to grasp and hold the cup.

totally recommend this great product to babies that are just trying our the sippy cup.

These learner sippy cups are the exact ones ive used to wean my last 2 children off the bottle. And both times it was quite easy doing so thanks to the design of this cup. The bottle itself is for the most part shaped like a bottle so the little ones still feel like they are holding a bottle and i think this gives them the comfort they’ve becone used to with their baby bottle.

Also, i love how the nipple part is the same type of silicone i think it is like a regular bottles nipple but at the same time its more of a sippy cup shape which is great for transitioning. Years ago I had did a google search looking for the best sippy cups for transitioning and this Nuk brand cup was one of the first ones i stumbled upon during that search.

And after purchasing one to try with my daughter almost 6 years ago , she immediately took to them and then i ordered several more of them and the baby bottle was history. Exact same scenario with my 2 year old son when transitioning him to a sippy cup a few months ago.

If youre looking for a great and affordable transition cup for your little one. i highly recommend giving this one a try. Ive gotten them on Amazon and at Walmart where they are a great price for buying several of them.

The NUK Disney Learner Cup was sent to me free to give you my honest opinion on it. This Disney learner cup could not have come at a better time. Transitioning my granddaughter off of a bottle has been sort of a struggle.

She was excited when I handed her the Disney learner cup, it has some of her favorite (Ariel) character on it. The sippy cup comes with easy to grip removable handles. The spill-proof spout is my favorite! The spout is fairly flexible and soft.

I am so grateful to NUK for this particular design she is officially bottle free! I ran out and purchased 2 more to have spares in the house. I highly recommend it to anyone transitioning from the bottle to a cup.

I’d highly recommend these to moms who are looking to begin sippy cup use and drop bottles. My daughter rejected 2 other sippy cups (with the soft spouts, like this one) before I ordered this one on Amazon.

I love how it has handles, and my daughter liked it immediately! I put the bottles in storage, so we’ve been using just these for a few months. They have lots of cute designs on Amazon, and they are affordable.

Next up for her are hard spout sippy cups straw cups.

I was lucky enough to receive this bottle to sample for my 15 month old and I’m so grateful that I had the chance because my son absolutely loves it. He carries it all over the house with him and is drinking so much more since he started using it.

He adapted straight away to it although he does like to also chew on it! The design is very cute and it glows in the dark which is fun for the kids but also makes it easy for him to locate in his cot at night time when he feels thirsty.

The handles make it very easy for my son to hold and use on his own, whether he is sitting up or lying down and it’s spill proof! No leaking bottle, and no wet bed when he decides to start playing with it, even when he drops it on the floor it doesn’t leak.

The only thing with this bottle that I would change is to have it bigger, at least the size of a cup (250ml). This one is too small and I’m needing to refill it often as he drinks it all so quickly. An added bonus, it’s easy to clean! I wish I had this bottle with my other 2 kids.

This is a very good bottle for a starter, and would definitely recommend. This cute bottle has an adorable design and it comes in pink and blue. I got this purely for my boy to just drink from during the day but it can be used for night- which basically what the glow-in-the-dark is for! Though I do want to add that be careful when giving this to teething babies because the tip of the spout can easily be bitten and ripped off so you would have to pay and replace the spout.

Now I bought a similar bottle, just not glow-in-the-dark one and my boy did the same thing. Bite and rip. So to sum it up: great product, good starting water bottle, cute design and cool glow-in-the-dark.

However, buy this if you’re okay with your teething baby to bite and rip off the spout.

I wasn’t familiar with the Nuk brand until I bought this bottle, didn’t have high expectations but my baby loves it. There is very special features to this bottle such as the bottle teat design and the temperature display are very ingenious.

It is a large and slim bottle which is great for on the go feedings. Temperature display is a great tool but still have to check manually as it only indicates where the water is hot, it is still a guessing game on whether milk is warm enough to feed.

Also if you rub your finger through the temperature line, it will fade. baby absolutely loves the bottle teat, which faces upward and makes it very comfortable for her to hold and feed herself.

I thought at first that there wasn’t a hole in the spout, but there is–you just have to pinch/wiggle the first time and it will appear! This is versatile and easy to pack for a trip, but its not a true sippy replacement–its just doesn’t work as well as our Kleenkanteen and thinkbaby stainless steel water bottle-style sippers.

Love the new cup- it fits in my cup holder in my car- works well for smoothies. It’s portable and surprisingly stays together well. A friend of mine has one and it’s her 19 month old daughters favorite cup.

Love this cup! It’s easy to hit my goal to drink water during the day when I use this cup and straw. Easy to clean, doesn’t hold on to stains or smells, washes up quickly. It would be a fun gift, useful and cute!!.
