20 Best Short Course Rc Truck 4X4 (2023 Updated)

It’s all they say and more! so much fun! It can still break though. Within my first few outings, I hit a pole and shattered a front a arm. All my fault of course, but I expected more from the new “improved” a arms considering it wasn’t that hard a hit.

Replaced with RPM now, were good to go. It’s still tough as hell and the best slash you can buy. Totally worth it!.

Im a beginner at hobby grade RC, but I love this truck. I did the research, and came to my own conclusions. Forget spending hundreds on aluminum A-arm kits, and big name brands. Its backward thinking as far as Im concerned.

I did as much research as I could. In the end, I put in a $40 Goolrc brushless combo (get a 5mm motor gear!!!), and a $20 servo. I launched this sucker!! It cleared 7 when I sent it on my makeshift oval track ramp.

The brushed motor is no joke if you prefer to leave it stock either. I just couldnt leave it alone though. I cant wait for my 3s lipos to arrive. (Happy caveman grunting) Like I said-Im a beginner, and I can tell you that the stock ESC will NOT take a direct blast from a water hose (the GoolRc ESC survived after it dried out a day later).

Doesnt matter though. The Redcat support techs sent a spare ESC and a receiver free of charge with no hassle. I also accidentally dropped the remote/transmitter in a bucket of water-Amazingly it still works!!! Not a fan of the wheels, but they can be swapped with any common 12mm 1/10 short course truck wheel though.

I see it as an upgrade opportunity. Did I mention that I have LAUNCHED this sucker? Not every landing was pretty either. Nasty somersaults, and my stepson even accidentally stepped on it. She took it like a champ! Not a single problem.

Just the need for more batteries. Get some 2s lipos and a quick charger if you leave this stock. That Hexfly battery is good, but a little on the heavy side. And its every bit of 4 hours to charge it.

I had the lipos, and wanted to run ASAP, so the first thing I did was cut the proprietary Redcat plug(Im insane), and solder a Deans plug in its place. I took that proprietary plug, and soldered a female Deans plug to make an adapter so the included battery could be used as well.

(Leave slack in the wires!!) All in all, I give this truck a score of 12,491 out of 100. It took everything I could throw at it-including dropping the transmitter in a bucket of water!!! Like I said-It would have done better if it werent for the wheels, and the stock battery charge time.

I think people will still see the value in taking a $155 truck, adding a $40 brushless combo, and getting performance that rivals (and possibly smokes) the popular $400 competition. Why would you spend all that money to then go throw it in the dirt?? I dont do reviews, and I didnt get a dime for saying any of this.

I just hope it will help you if youre looking for a 1/10 SC, and you are as confused as I was. Background: I have about 20 years experience in the IT/electrical field, and Ive spent a great deal of time working on muscle cars.

I use basic physics to build custom, insane Hot Wheels tracks, and I have been consulted by the worlds most prestigious collectors to build tracks for them as well. I also build high-performance Nerf guns, with integrated lasers, and party lights.

I drive my poor wife nuts :-).

Pros Fast easy to control Durable plastic/metal parts Remote only takes 4 AA Cons Takes almost 5 hours to charge Battery charge last about 10 minutes Lots of debris gets in the RC car Overall, it’s a great car, just needs a lipo for faster charging.

8/2 Just upgraded the car with 35c 2s lipos and a 900 watt brushless motor and esc, and the gears are handling 40 mph no problem. I have crashed this car countless times at 20-30 mph and only broke the part of the gearbox that holds the shock tower.

The tires wear out fast, but I do donuts on gravel a lot. Replacement parts are cheap, so when something breaks, you can afford to replace it right away. The plastic body has a bunch of scratches, but no cracks, even after hitting a cars tire at 20 mph.

8/6 hitting 70 mph without anything breaking, but it’s near impossible to keep the car going straight.

I have had other Redcat trucks in the past and was skeptical at first, but have sent the truck flying over Cubs and various jumps and nothing broken. Many many wrecks later and the truck is still running like a champ, very glad I bought this one! Good range on the controller pretty easy to pair and use, battery life is pretty good, but tends to just stop when it’s close to dead.

All around it’s a good truck, definitely prefer over the volcano.

This truck was rated for intermediate experience but right out of the box with no practice in The Last 5 Years I found this truck is simple, easy to run, fast, goes anywhere, yes it’s a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for, I bought another upgraded truck of the same model and outside of the upgrades I can barely tell a difference.

Yes stock parts may break with hard use, buy the upgraded parts, RPM etc, and you are garanteed hours of family fun. Highly recommend the slash, but get two. My daughters boyfriend got me hooked and have tons of fun racing.

Start with the Li-Po Batts and get the fan for the speed controller, you won’t be sorry with the extended speed and runtimes.

Simply designed with excellent overall reliability and durability. Working with 11 Year Old now on installing the telemetry sensors available and the telephone dashboard. Excellent skill building due to both the hands on mechanics as well as teaching how sensors work.

I have two Slash 2WD and one Slash 4X4 VXL Brushless. All three Slash cars have worked well.

truck came as expected. super fun super fast and ready to race. LOVE the fox shocks body. only used twice but no problems and not broken. my only complaint is that the charger it comes with is for use in an automobile! Thats right.

You can’t plug it into your wall and charge the battery. What a joke. Other than that the reputation this truck has is legit. buy one.

Good product came two days early

It is perfect as a ready to race RTR car. If you are just getting into hobby RC and don’t know your way around building your own this car (RTR) is for you. It has plenty of traxxas upgrades and a plethora of after market parts and upgrades due to its popularity.

the drive shafts are prone to failure but they are cheap to replace. I have upgraded to steel drive shafts only to find a pin falls out and it spits the drive shaft. The plastic hub carriers break if you hit something hard enough but only cost $4 to replace, I recommend an ally upgrade.

One of the best things is you can customise it and make it your own, the setup can be changed with high ride height for jumping and bashing low stiff for track etc. springs can be changed different rated oils in the shocks etc.

The control module allows for different speed settings including %50 reduction, this is great as you learn how to drive the car. I recommend fitting a cooling fan to the control module. although it can take 3 cell lipo I would use 2 cell and it should last longer ( I have never replaced a motor in 3 years of using every weekend).

the traxxas Stability management (TSM) is brilliant and really does work very well. And finally who can argue with 500 hp bursting through the sound system haha magic.

Good quality RC Truck. One negitive comment is the finish in the body is below quality expectations. The decal on the hood was placed incorrectly, it was laid straight across the hood and not into the contours.

Result is dust collects under the decal and looks terrible for a vehicle that is new. I will ripe it off and replace it but should not have to.

I have this kit w/my Slash model. I like the sound so much I bought this kit for another shell. I only used the speaker assembly. The speaker mounts needed to be modified to fit the other shell. That was no big deal.

I cut the plastic mounts to the length I needed, drilled small holes, and mounted the speakers against the shell material w/screws and nuts. The sound of a 900 hp engine and the look my models have is very impressive.

I like that I can adjust the volume and even turn the system off if I wanted to do so. I can’t imagine I’d want to turn it off though. The only issue I had w/this system was the wire that connects to the sound unit is too short to conveniently change the battery unless you unplug the wire.

I extended the wire so the body shell isn’t in the way of changing a battery.

I researched this category like crazy. I picked a compromise between cost and performance. The Traxxas brand meant great parts support, and high quality. I bought used hoping to save some money, but in the end, I didn’t save much.

I am very happy with this purchase so far.

The truck is very durable. It’s fast but I will probably upgrade it. Good buy for the money.

This Rc Car Is Very Fast On 6 S. The Size Of This Rc Car & Attention To Detail Is Awesome The only thing I can say is it needs a modification due to the no wheel wells it kicks up rocks and dirt and grass inside the chassis.

The difference between a Toy & Hobby grade RC anything is massive. This truck is a shining example of what spending a bit more can buy you. The truck is FAST while maintaining controllability. I am running a 3s Lipo and it has heaps of power, the throttle rate reduction to 50% on the radio was welcome for my 10 Year old.

This truck not only feels tough, it is tough. The few rolls and crashes I have experienced & that naturally WILL occur with an RC vehicle have left this thing totally unscathed. The truck comes ready out of the box, just add YOUR charged batteries to the truck and radio then within minutes your ready to rumble.

I am an old school nitro racer and new to Lipo electric power. This truck has converted me to Lipo power & I highly recommend it.

Came ready to run straight out of the box and I already had a battery on order for it. The truck looks mean and runs like a demon. I’ve driven it on several occasions and I must say. this thing is FAST! I had to turn the speed control down to 50% because I kept wrecking it and breaking parts.

Thankfully, I had bought some different upgraded parts because I knew I was gonna break something being new to the rc sport. I broke 3 parts on 2 different occasions. I broke both of the front lower control arms, and replaced them with the upgraded metal parts I had bought in advance.

And I broke a rear shock when I turned it into a tree by accident. I love my new RC truck but I’m going to have to take it to an open field and get some more practice before I really let the beast loose.

But I do enjoy driving it at the park now. Thanks.

This truck is so much better than all the reviews/youtube videos I saw!! It’s tough, it’s bloody fast (which can be tamed with the 50%/75%/100% settings on the transmitter) and the build quality is outstanding!!! Such great value for money! I would 100% recommend this to anyone who wants a brilliant truck to have fun with.

(Definitely too fast for under 14 year olds at 100%!).

This is a fantastic truck that is a total blast to drive. TSM makes you feel like a pro driver. Always in control without taking the drifting and donuts away. Be aware. This is not a big slash or stampede that can take ridiculous amounts of abuse and slough it off.

If you jump this truck like an E Revo or Slash, it will break. Thats not to say its not durable either. I have driven this truck hard for a month now and have had no issues at all. Heres a couple tips for new buyers of the Desert Racer.

The body is paper thin so reinforcing it will extend its life dramatically. Gorilla tape or shoe goo and drywall tape on the inside are a must. Secondly, grease the front and rear diffs well. Third, fill all the voids in the rear trailing arms with JB Weld to strengthen them or the will fold like a noodle.

Take care of this truck and drive it like the scale trophy truck it is and you will be very happy. I am.

This thing is absolutely awesome. Traxxas nailed the scale look, and it’s a blast to drive. The TSM system works great, makes it easier to drive fast. And it’s definitely fast. Using the traxxas link module and app, I clocked 32mph through grass with the 4S battery.

I recommend 1 4s battery as opposed th the dual 2s or 3s batteries. Yes, you can get 50mph with the dual 3s setup, but 30mph is plenty fast for this thing in scale. 50mph is a little crazy, like strapping 5000hp on the real truck.

You’ll have more fun blasting around and not wrecking it. Get used to driving it like a real truck, you can’t just cut the wheel at full throttle, it’ll roll over in a heartbeat. It’s great to learn real throttle and steering control.

And that full tube chassis looks so cool. Great truck.

I I received the car from you guys. But when I went to use it I tried turning the lights on and they do not work. I even took it to the local hobby shop and they are saying they don’t why. I’m really bummed on that.

Very nice truck 3. 3 runs good as expected, running a LC3 Glow Plug along with Sidewinder 20% nitro and 12% oil runs beautifully, just Maintenance the truck after every run and always after running put the piston at (BDC) Bottom Dead Center so you maintain the pinch in the sleeve, since the sleeve is brass it will expand and retract after cooling, And if your letting the truck sit for a long time I usually put after run oil in the engine just to help everything stay coated I use penn grade motor oil 1-2 drops I don’t soak it in oil.

Don’t hydro lock the motor, Just coating parts helps the longevity of the motor to live on and be reliable. I pull the cooling head off and put 1-2 drops of oil in the transfer port exhaust port, intake port and 1-2 drops down in the carb bore to help it too.

And always after running make sure you run completely out of fuel so your truck won’t start, don’t leave any fuel in the line, or the tank, it will gum parts up and make it hard to turn over. Already learned my lesson like a moron, at the time I didn’t know how to tune, me being an idiot kid not knowing how to tune my carburetor I got pissed and put it away,some fuel in the line and in the carb, so it sat for 2-3 years, put WD-40 in it, which you don’t do WD-40 is not a lubricant, it’s Water Dispersant Formula 40, disperses water keeps out moisture then evaporates, WD-40 is good if your cleaning parts after washing them.

But is not intended as a lubricant. Use After run oil or any type of oil 3 in 1 tool oil, 5W-30 motor oil, bar and chain oil will work fine just not WD-40. Anyway now I can tune my carb with no problem just clicked one day watching YouTube and videos and knew how to tune lol.

Also the EZ Start works great no problems at all. Hear a lot of people hating the EZ starts had no issues ever with my nitro RC’s just check on the gears once a while put a drop or 2 of oil on the EZ start motor bearing front and back to help it last, and not burn up, and put silicone grease on the plastic gears inside will also help too.

Overall very badass truck will buy another one in the future NITRO GANG FOREVER!!!!.

I purchased truck just over a month ago. I haven’t been abusive as I’m still trying to break it in. The truck appears to be good quality but don’t let that fool you. I’ve already had to replace the ez start motor, the clutch, the wire harness, the carburetor body, and now my transmission shift servo has failed.

This is a lemon and Traxxas wants me to pay for shipping so they can look at it, if they don’t feel it’s a warranty issue they’ll charge me to fix it. What a rip off, I paid $500 for this car and it’s never worked right.

I’ve been a loyal Traxxas customer for 15+ years. Not anymore. Please don’t support a company who doesn’t take care of their loyal customers.

So I bought a traxxas 3. 3 truck from a local distributor called hobby town. Got home after buying this truck. Went to fire it up and it wouldn’t turn over. Called traxxas they shipped me a new started.

I didnt want to wait 3 weeks for it to come in the mail. So I went and bought a new starter. I installed it. Got the truck to fire up. Noticed fuel leaking out of the bottom of the engine. This is my first nitro car so ya thought it was normal.

Ran the car through the break in procedures. Got done with break in. Found the car untunable. Called traxxas first guy on the phone was rude and asked me if I had any nitro car experance trying to blame their bad engine on me.

So we agreed for me to send the car to traxxas for warranty work. I ship the truck in a box with wheels off. I wait close to 3 months to get my truck back they replaced the engine and fuel tank and fuel line.

I get my truck back with the wheels on. It had a broken front and lower control arm and a ben front bumper. I noticed this after opening the box. I sent pictures to traxxas. Guy said the tires look more worn that one hour of use.

I dont even have 1 hour on this truck. I paid alot of money for this truck to. when I called traxxas they a accused me of damaging the truck becaue in a email I stated the ups box didnt have damaged on it.

they asked me again how much nitro experance do I have becaue the tires look really worn for being a new truck they claimed. I havent got one email back from them. This truck is the biggest waste of money I have ever spent in my life.

Money that I had to save up for. The proper thing to do would be send the customer a new truck. Traxxas is mass producing there trucks in china. They are garbage and I will never do business with them again tell they make this right.

I even had to replace the slipper clutches while braking this truck in becaue the old clutches spit out. Then it chewed up a gear drive in the truck from the engine revving from the crack in the lower part of the engine on the old engine.

Traxxas has done some replacements on this truck for me. But getting it back after waiting 3 months and it’s broken. I didnt break this truck. 800 dollar truck and it has had a engine replacement, tank replacement, 2 sets of slipper clutch and, gears replace.

Now a new front end from it being damaged on return not by me. A new truck that doesnt feel new because it was a lemon out of the box. Thanks so much traxxas for taking my hard worked money and selling me a peace of junk !!!!!.

Ok. so I broke a front A-arm within my FIRST BATTERY after unboxing. My fault entirely. Next issue was a broken driveshaft. DO NOT USE THE SLEF RIGHTING FEATURE UNLESS YOU LIKE BUYING DRIVETRAIN PARTS.

PERIOD. Just go pick it up yourself. Other than being down waiting. on parts. this thing is pretty sick. Wicked fast. wheelies on demand. first RC I’ve had that RIPS though snow. fluff or slop. she eats it up.

Tire ballooning popped a few beads. a reglue was in order. Awesome truck. Can’t wait to get her fixed and rippin again. But honestly, Traxxas. it could be a bit cheaper. especially when you KNOW that 3s power absolutely DEMANDS metal gears.

The plastic one it came with will be burnt soon. then I get to spend more money on top of the 600 I spent to get it here and the 120 I have to spend to get her going again. We know the hobby. Things break.

But with plastic gears. garbage same ol’ shocks and plastic driveshafts. Your price point is 70 bucks high. to say the least. RC Superstore is awesome. and so is the Hoss. just plan on upgrading.

Straight off, if you purchase the Traxxas Hoss expect to have to upgrade both front and rear CVs to metal because the plastic ones will break, quick. On top of that the only metal CV’s that I’ve found that will last more than 20 minutes are the Traxxas brand, which WILL COST YOU around A THIRD OF THE TOTAL RC RETAIL PRICE.

I have watched other videos where people bought the Hoss, and they also had to replace the CV’s within just a couple drives. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM so I don’t think its acceptable for the manufacturer to supply parts that are known to break when you use a feature they designed.

I have broken 6 CV’s so far and 4 of them broke when I used self righting mode(the others broke when I gave it full throttle up hill). Besides this the car is virtually indestructible which is why I still gave it 2 stars (although it does like to roll over).

Bottom line is you are going to have to spend another hundred-fifty in order to have it be a reliable RC.

Alright, well. I bought it on 5/25/22. Used it for not even a full 5000 mah battery on 5/26/22 before the motor started cogging and overheating. I’m not even talking bashing, I was just getting a feel for it.

Took it to my local hobby shop to take a look and they said the moment they powered it on the motor and esc got so hot it went into overheat protection. Contacted Traxxas for warranty since it wasn’t even 24 hours until it catastrophically failed.

Well it’s 6/10/22 as I write this and I’m still waiting for the replacement parts. All I can say is it’s the first RC purchase that I’ve been incredibly disappointed with. $500 to use it for less than an hour and be waiting over a month for parts.

If you’re looking at a Hoss, I’d honestly spend the extra and get a Maxx, or go with a different company. It was fun, but not $500 for 45 minutes levels of fun.

Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve EVER dealt with. I purchased this for my son. The rear tire hub broke after 10 mins of use. They said it never happens and they’re surprised. They shipped a new part.

We fixed it and after 10 mins of he same day the gears in the motor break. WTH. I ship it back they fix it AGAIN with plastic gears after I asked to replace with metal. Get it back and the same day the front axle breaks in half.

CS told me i should’ve bought the metal parts instead. I said I paid $500 how about you building a better product and stop blaming the customer. THEY CLERLY Don’t stand behind their products. The CSR told me it was my son’s driving style and not the design of the parts.

I asked if he’d ever watch their videos of how rugged it was. What a JOKE! I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone EVER.

I have a few rc that I own and I am very impressed with the quality of the redcat blackout xte pro, for the price you are definitely getting your moneys worth! I also added some LED’s to it and it is easy to roll over when you are turning because of the amount of power it has, but I changed the wheels and tires to a bigger and wider size, and it has helped with it rolling over but with it being brushless and being as fast as it is, it’s will still flip over and I will pop wheelies to the point where it is on it top and be sure that get a few extra body clips because you’re going to lose some, lol, I have crashed it, jumped it on ramps, and flip it more times than I can count, and I have not broken anything, but check your screws and wheel nuts before driving it because they will work lose, but you are getting a great rc for half the price of the other guys.

I think you would be very happy with it to, and since it has been out for a while, after market parts are available, and you can upgrade it to your specifications.

I bought this as a gift, his first rc car, for my 12 year old son. I have common general knowledge about rc cars, so I knew what kind of specs I was looking for. The blackout had pretty solid reviews across many different retailer sites, and Redcat has a multitude of options and pretty large variety of models and variations amongst them.

So here we are, Christmas day, it was just brought out for the first time and and the coil housing on the left suspension rod already snapped leaving it inoperable until the shocks are replaced. I am sorry but who the f*** uses plastic housings on shock absorbers? That is more disappointing than the fact that my son is s.

o. l. for the time being. I expected better quality on one of the most important parts of great handling and performance. On the other hand I bought my younger son the Redcat Desert Sandstorm (which is equipped with aluminum coils) and it handles and performs like a beast even in our 8-12 inches of snow.

First let me say I have been into RC for about 30 years. Most of which is with RC cars. I picked this up as a early Christmas gift for a friend was very new to radio controlled cars. Anyway I told him he would probably break it on the first run.

And he did. Good thing that parts are easy to get. This thing can get out of hand very fast if your a beginner. I would suggest a one over on this before actual run. Check all of the screws and nuts.

Check the wheel camber and toe. Doing so will make this a bit more easy to handle. It lacks some of the little extras that some of your more higher end brands have that make them more durable. Not to say this in not durable because it is for the most part.

Just dont do any crazy jumping with it that some of the other brands can handle. It will break sooner or latter. Most likely sooner then the latter. Upgrades are out there and this should be considered as parts break if its an option.

I would like to point out that the chassis and battery mount are all the same one piece. So if a battery mount breaks then thats a new chassis you will be buying as well. If this happens you can still mount the battery by other means.

There are a few other minor issued regarding durability. The bulkhead has no brace that connects the pins that hold the A-arms in place. This is a major breaking point. Look for a means to brace this area.

If you drive it around and are fairly mindful as to how you bash it you will be fine and have lots of fun. I will say that it can handle a height of 6ft or so with a landing off a jump or flat face drop off.

Just keep in mind that with even higher end RC cars all it takes is a bad landing and thats just a matter of time.

You get a nice variety of different lubricants for the price, especially with the different viscosity levels in the bundle. I mainly bought these for Rubik’s cubes and they work great to help keep my puzzles smooth/fast feeling.

A note for those interested though. The 2 bottles of the higher viscosity lubricants are only about half full, unlike the 200 & 350CST which are nearly full to the top of the bottle.

I used to race with a Slash 4×4. This truck is a whole different beast compared to durability and control on the track! Definitely recommend. This was also my first RC I fully built and that was another cool thing about it.

Simple assembly too make you feel like a pro.

If you’ve never built a race kit before, it’s hard to appreciate just how good this Tekno kit really is. Every part of this truck makes sense and is built twice is tough as the competition. Right out of the box, the truck is dialed in and ready to go.

I absolutely could not recommend it more.

Delivered on the date. Only problem was it was left behind the bin. This product cost over €300 and i was surprised it was left behind a bin for anyone to find. Product good. Battery doesnt last long so will order another one or larger one.

Website a little confusing for children looking at buying rcs. Lots of information. Maybe list compatible products together.

Vehicle looks amazing. Speed was somewhat slow and after a full battery charge my son had only about 10 minutes of use before the battery need to be recharged. Speed was about 10 mph. Not Impressed

This is an absolute piece of garbage. It broke after using it just 3 times. Just stopped charging. The warranty is for only 30 days. For this amount of money, I would expect a better warranty but probably the company knows these cars are garbage and want your repair dollars after your initial stupid purchase of the car.

I would never, never buy one of these again. What a waste of money.

I decided to buy a couple cheap microphones off of eBay that were under the $5 mark. This one is a clear winner. It is USB and was Plug and play, sound quality is clear however a bit quiet compared to what my laptop’s built-in microphone can do.

Out of all the cheap microphones I bought, this is the best one. Not much popping, you don’t hear the movement of the laptop or typing through it and the movable chord is very nice. I rather prefer this over the laptops built-in microphone because it does not pick up on typing and the movements of the computer or anything around it, just your voice.

Pleasantly surprised.

Watched several videos on this truck before buying and everyone talked it up and it looked like it ran nice. Well after receiving it I charged the battery took it out for a spin, was careful to break in the brushed motor like I normally do.

Eventually hit the throttle and this thing is terribly slow!!!! Glad it was only $75. Looked for a H or L feature just to see if I’m in low, there is none. I guess it will be good for kids to play with so they won’t mess with my Traxxas Slash.

Worked awesome! Til it didn’t. Claims waterproof on the box, one run in a wet parking lot and the servo quit started twitching and quit working. If it was truly waterproof then this would be an awesome little truck.

Great hobby grade short course truck at a great Walmart price. This truck does it all, and takes a serious beating.

Pros -Fast (31 mph) -Strong (very nice gear ratio) -Beadlock tires! -Looks amazing -Cheap -LEDs Cons -Poor plastic quality (screws stripped the plastic way to easily) -Not waterproof as described (mine smoked) -Front suspension is bad.

-Grindy diffs -You can’t adjust the camber or tow (alignment was off right out of the box).

Wow! love it, super fast, a lot of fun and fairly easy to handle. It is capable of more than my current skill level can deal with. However, I am optimistic that my skill level is improving. The unlocked differentials seem to give an advantage over my Axial Yeti, with locked differentials, on a hard packed dirt surface.

Their speeds are similar but the Losi Ford Raptor is easier to control with both using 3s power.

Got this 4WD RC truck about a week ago. I have several RC buggies and SC trucks and by far the Losi Baja Rey is the best. This truck is very fast even on 2S Lipo and durable as the day is long. I highly recommend this truck to anyone interested in the hobby.

It has been 25 years since RC racing and HOLY COW! they have built a indestructible super fast and durable RC truck, that looks like the real McCoy! I bought 3 just so I could enjoy the racing and Wow they are a gas!(without gas).

Had car up and running in 5 minutes! Easy to use and is fun and wicked fast. I’m a novice so this was a perfect fit for me. Run time with 2 batteries in parallel lasts 30+ minutes in dirt. Will graduate to a 1:10 after I master this little firecracker.

Suspension is awesome, drives like a real truck! You won’t be disappointed with this purchase!.

Super fun basher, very durable! Too bad Traxxas didnt step up and offer a legit charger for this rtr instead of the 12v car charger that warns you not to charge it in your car while running or driving.

I now have to spend another 25 bucks to use it again. and call a tow truck to get jumpstarted. LoL.
