Best Shoes For Sprinting On Track (2023 Updated)

I bought these for my son, as I could not find any anywhere else. He has no complaints that I know of. Just a basic cleat that gets the job done. I really don’t have an opinion on them. I do not feel they are worth the price because they are so basic.

I have purchased over 10 of these particular Spikes for Athletes in my program since they first came out. These spikes have taken athletes to Districts, Regionals, State, and National Championships and never failed in performance for Athletes.

My son is an Adidas fan. He likes the look and he also likes the fit of the track shoe. He hopes to see more designs/ varieties of Adidas track shoes in Academy.

Shoes look nice and smart, fits well and very light for daughters cross country running. These shoes are track designed and so the spikes are a bit short for muddy fields, but I have changed the spikes for longer ones and this has done the job.

The shoe does not have much cushioning, so for adults running longer distance may not be as comfortable.

Bought for my 9yo daughter and she’s really happy with them. Spikes aren’t the most comfortable shoes but these have been less weird than some of the others we’ve tried and fit her better. She spent a full hour at athletics wearing them and no pain or blisters!.

Love these sprint spikes. I’ve never bought puma previously but now that I have I can definitely say that they are the best sprinters I’ve used yet. They are very comfortable and supportive. Definitely recommend.

My first cross country season in 14 years and needed some spikes. Went with these and they were great. I did get sore ankles but I stupidly wore low ankle so is which exposes my heels. I’ll be wearing longer socks next time.

Might be better after a few races and they’ve worn in a little. Great shoe.

Worked well on a very muddy Pole Hill. First pair of XC spikes so not got comparators but these are light and comfy. I wear a 12 in New Balance and same fitted well here. Came with 9mm spikes and a key so didn’t need to order the extra one I did.

Laces are strangely flat so need careful knotting.

So far so good. One outing on the mud in my new adiZero XCS and they felt stable and light, a perfect combo. They look pretty good too. Coming with two options on spikes appreciated. Concur with my fellow reviewer Nigel aka go a half a size up from your usual for running in road shoes.

at first, i put them on and was like, “i’m supposed to RUN in these?” but as soon as i started moving in them, i could feel the power coming to my feet. my 100m time jumped from 14. 44 to a 12. 79! my start from the blocks is the best on the team.

it was always great, but the design of these shoes really helps you get out there FAST. i also tried running the 400m, and they also performed well. i have less experiance with long distance, but it seems they are great.

the tracktion is amazing, and their airy lightness is something to behold. as soon as i put these on, i was crowded. these are truly beautiful shoes, and you need a pair.

I bought these spikes two years ago and ran on them for two years. I bought my normal size and they fit great. Snug but not too tight. They are very lightweight and flexible which I personally love. I am very hard on spikes and impressed they lasted two years of running and vaulting on them.

For some reason these are the only spikes that don’t give me shin splints and foot issues so I will defiantly be buying again.

TLDR – buy a size and a half up, apparently. My last pair of Saucony spikes were size 9. 5, so I figured that would carry across different styles/versions. The 9. 5’s got delivered, and they were waaay too small.

I returned them, got 10’s, and those were too small too. At this point my season is quickly approaching, so I have to get express shipping when I buy my THIRD pair, a size 10. 5. They got here today, and they’re still too small.

I’m normally a size 10 in normal running shoes, so this is insane to me. I’m about to buy a pair of 11’s (with express shipping again) because these are luckily affordable and I don’t want to start the whole process again with a new brand.

Overall, though, this has been very confusing and disappointing.

I purchased this product right before a meet because I broke my other spikes. I am overall happy with the shoes. They have had some problems that I have had to deal with, but overall I liked them. They are solid shoes that can get the job done but they aren’t anything too crazy.

Some of the problems that I faced have to do with durability and too much flexibility. With track spikes I really don’t wear them that much, I only put them on before races and I only have about 10 races a year.

Within the first 4 races the insoles of the shoe started to fall apart and made running in them a little uncomfortable. The other problem that I have with them is how flexible the bottom of the shoe is.

With sprinting spikes you want a hard non flexible bottom and on the shoes they are really bendy and I feel like it takes time off my races. I do love how affordable the shoes are. For only paying $60 you are getting a good pair of spikes.

For what I needed they do just the job and are a lot cheaper then buying a nice pair for $150. They also hold the spikes in the bottom a lot better than most pairs of spikes I have had. I think if someone wants to get into track they are the spikes that you should get.

I overall am happy with the shoes that I bought and wore. They will get the job done and are easily accessible. They aren’t perfect shoes and do have some problems, but for $60 you really can’t ask for much more.

When I opened my order the shoes looked like they had been worn. The bottom of the shoes has scuff marks and worst of all there are seams that are falling apart on the inside. do not purchase these shoes from here, purchase them from somewhere else.

I would try running wear house or first to finish. Trust me, don’t spend your money on these spikes.

Bought these to replace old sprint spikes. They seem to run about a half size small and out of the 4-5 pairs I tried on, the width varied in each shoe pair. For women, the B width is common for narrower feet, but it seems like all thats in stock is D width (men’s width.

) I made the D width work, but mostly because I had to replace my old pair quickly. I used to be more satisfied with Nike spikes and these seem to miss the mark for me.

Bought this item because it was the only one available in the store. Bought the closest available size. Returned the product because it didn’t fit.

My son has only wore these for one track meet so far, but he said they’re comfortable. The price was good too.

Yes I am very happy about this product was missing a few spikes but that can be easily replaced

I’ve had a lot of spikes over the years and these are one of favourites. Quite heavy compared to most spikes but it makes up for it in how stiff the plate is and how much force it allows you to put down.

Very good spikes for my style of run.

Great and true fit, very light and not annoying stitches on the toes which is important for sprints. My son absolutely love it and got podium in his first ever race. Thanks

I bought these for my senior season of track and really liked them. I run sprints (100, 200, 400) and these are the most aggressive spikes on the market. I really love the 10 pin pattern! I also love the color and look of them; many of my teammates complemented them- especially the chrome bottoms.

Only downside I had with them was that I had hot spots develop when I was breaking them in. My feet would just be on fire, especially when running 400s. Thought it might be a sock issue so I changed them and PRed lol.

This is a great track shoe for sprinters! My daughter crushed the 100m and 200m during track season in these! My daughter said shoe is comfortable, roomy and gave her a boost while running! Hands down we’re very happy with this purchase.

I ordered the ViziGold color with silver bottoms.

I wore this shoe in a meet for the first time yesterday, so these are just my initial thoughts. The Haze is a beautiful color and even a coach complimented the looks. These were comfortable enough during my races; one shouldn’t feel the shoes while racing and I didn’t feel them when I ran.

However, they were quite uncomfortable while walking to and from my races, so I took them off quickly after my races were done. The discomfort comes from the rock-solid spike plate and arch support that doesn’t quite conform to the arch of my foot.

However, that rock-solid spike plate is part of what makes these shoes fast, which is why I give them 5 stars.

Didn’t get chance to try them out so took gamble at 1st XC of season. Paid off and felt speedy with studs. Looking forward to trying out with spikes. Would recommend using with cushioned socks otherwise spot on.

After recent disasters with pins bending in other spikes, these seem much better able to stand up to harder ground. There was a bit more room in these than other spikes so if in two minds over half a size I’d go smaller.

My daughter absolutely enjoys wearing her new shoes. It was a bit shaky at first with learning how to run in them, but after recovering from her initial day 1 fall injury. she’s back on track and running faster than ever.

Received theses shoes But no spikes or wrench and the shoes laces looked used. Had to go to the store to get me laces and spikes and wrench. The shoes themselves fit happy on that end.

3 Week ago a went to Dicks looking for a pair of spiked track shoes. Found these great looking pair. Very comfy and stylish!

When I bought this shoes, they did not tell me it is not available in the store. I thought I was just picking it up. I had to wait for about 10 days before I could go pick it up. By then, the track and field event that I wanted to was over.

It would be nice, if the store carried some of these products.

Perfect fit. I couldn’t find what I needed in the stores so I checked online and I’m satisfied with the purchase I made. It was also shipped in time for track competition.

This spike is awesome (for lack of a more amazing word). As soon as I pulled it out of the box, I was in love. I’ve worn it a couple times on the track and ran a few 5K cross country races in it. I brought my 5K PR down from 18:59 to 17:56 in one week with this shoe.

The AtomKnit upper is extremely breathable, comfortable, and easy to get on. The notched shoelaces are a nice touch that keeps your foot locked down. The upper doesn’t hold water and keeps it light even with wet conditions.

The ZoomX foam is great for a soft landing that also gives a little bounce. Then you get to the Zoom Air unit in the forefoot and it’s still a comfortable feel with even more pop. The carbon-fiber FlyPlate also propels you forward to make you feel like you are flying.

It is also extremely light even with everything underfoot. There is a lot going on underfoot and you can feel it but numbers don’t lie. This shoe is made to smash PRs.

Ja Fly 3s are the sort of transition spike, from earlier in a track career, to a more focused one. While not being as fancy as a shoe such as the Maxfly or Superfly, the JaFly 3 manages to handle competition and workouts well, even after thousands and thousands of meters on the odometer.

After a year of heavy use, the shoes no longer hold spikes in as tight as they did when new, and sometimes they come loose, however this is to be expected with the amount of running I’ve done with these shoes.

When compared to newer shoes, the JaFly 3 seems to be a tad big heavier in comparison, however it is the lack of flyknit and the rigid spike plate that allows the shoe to run any event from the 55 to the 800- with varying degrees of comfort- making them a great spike for mid distance runners especially.

Overall, a good spike, however technological advancements from competitors, including Nike themselves, leaves one longing for more.

This is a brilliant shoe and I recommend them for any age athlete. Running, in particular sprinting generates enormous power onto the track. The Nike Air Zoom Victory amplifies this power back into the runners stride.

I used the last weekend competing at Sydney Olympic Park in the state relays, definitely helped me win 2 Golds and set a state record.

These shoes are perfect. Right when you put them on you feel like your bouncing on springs. I wear them everywhere; the track, on trails, to class, the basketball court, the shower, and to bed. They’ve lowered my pr in the mile from 5:24 to 3:56 in just one season.

I would recommend purchasing these today.

I gave them 1 star because these shoes are a joke. The Toe Box is extremely narrow – the width of a narrow woman’s shoe – which makes it impossible for many males to wear. The fact that this shoe is “unisex” and don’t offer different widths is laughable.

I returned them fast not worth the price.

I like these spikes a lot, when I first used them it was on a terrible day and i was still able to perform well. They’re very comfortable and soft on my feet, the air pockets definitely make a difference and in my opinion they’re worth the price.

The spike is extremely good, but the durability is horrible I had them for only 2 weeks with minimal usage and the air pod broke.

I’ve been wearing Reebok Black Classics in size 10. 5 width 4E since the 90s and love that they have room for the bunion (enlargement) at my right big toe joint. I am so sad to report these new 4E Classics do not have enough room in the toe box (even for my bunion-free left foot), and the extra width at the heel causes the shoes to slip up and down no matter which socks I wear or how carefully I lace them (loose at the toe, snug at the top).

My problems with fit aside, Reebok has THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I’ve ever experienced! They not only covered return shipping for the two pairs I purchased, but issued a refund as soon as they received notice of shipment from UPS.

Who does that these days? Buying online from Reebok is truly risk-free, so do not hesitate to try their shoe. If they fit you, you’ll be a customer for life!.

These are perfect classic runners. You might not want to run in them, considering current options with newer technology. However, they are ideal for walking for a whole day out. They look good and feel good.

The combo of the memory foam insole and EVA midsole are great. The upper and outsole seem like they’ll last a long while. I’m surprised at the quality.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this shoe after running a 1500m indoor race in them. Great lock down and comfort. In never knew I had spikes on during the race. Better than Dragonfly which you will know you have on if you are not a forefoot runner and I could feel the energy return from the stiff carbon plate.

Better than New Balance’s plated MD-X which runs very wide and has a terrible lacing system and lock down. Maybe the best spike I have ever worn for a 1500m. Victory was my preferred spike before carbon plated spikes came in.

After testing other super spikes I will stick with this shoe now for 800 & 1500m races. I am 70 years old, still racing fast and have worn a lot of spikes in my time.

I only got to train in the shoes one time before I injured my knee. No, the shoes had nothing to do with my injury. They fit great, they are super light, and I appreciated the extra padding. I am a long sprinter and I generally use a distance spike as my training and racing shoes.

So excited to find these shoes for my 9yo and at such a great price but they arrived used. We expected new shoes not used. Bottom of shoes all scuffed up.

They are maybe the most suitable spikes I’ve worn. They fit good comes with spikes and a spike key in the box with nice paper. I use these for the 200m and 400m and they’re good spikes that last. I was concerned about the ankle support but I was just fine.
