20 Best Self Leveling Concrete Crack Filler (2023 Updated)

This product worked great to fill in the OLD expansion joist that was no longer there in the cut/cracked cement of my driveway/house from the when it was built. I had to and YOU SHOULD USE a foam filler roll first to stop any of this sealant from just dripping away into the holes/cracks that will never fill if you don’t put something down to stop this self leveling sealant from just disappearing.

This is a liquid type of product and will “self level” when applied. Should ONLY be used on flat surfaces, not on vertical, it will drip down. I used the DAP product and had to buy this “Sika Pro” due to DAP no longer being available in my area.

I had to switch products and found the color is NOT the same for each of these different sealants. just an FYI. DAP is much lighter in color compared to Sika. They both perform the same, both flow and level the same and if there is anyway this product can filter down into the hole, it will unless you use some form of product to block and stop it.

Thus, the foam insert or expansion joist product is a great alternative then just watching this product waist away down the crack/hole, it will work its way in. This is not your regular silicone and will run/smooth out and filter down into the cracks/holes.

This product is great for cracked driveways/along garage walls and blocks of your home/anywhere you need cracks filled from water getting in and freezing. This will help stop the heaving of the cement and lessen the crack from getting bigger.

Great product! I will see what happens after the Winter. This product is supposed to expand and contract with the weather so time will tell. Right now it looks great. It is brighter than your old cement, just a heads up.

Its hard to find the correct color match with cement and a new sealants. good luck!.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and so far it’s been performing wonderfully! I used it to seal the saw cuts in my garage. First I removed dirt from and vacuumed all the saw cuts. then I used foam caulking rope to fill in the first half inch of the cut (so I wouldn’t use so much sealant), then, very carefully, applied the caulking to the seam.

It levelled itself beautifully and dried to a semi hard seal. I let it dry for 3 days before driving on it. So far it’s working out very well. Time will tell if it holds up to the driving over, hot tires, road salt and dirt this is thrown it’s way but I have high hopes.

It looks like very strong stuff. Very pleased so far.

I found this product worked wonderfully in sealing up the joint between the garage floor apron and the driveway. I also used it to seal the saw cuts in my garage floor and, so far, has worked tremendously well! It was a bit chilly when I was doing this work so I put the tubes on a furnace register to warm up first.

It flowed very smoothly after doing this. I avoided driving on it for 72 hrs after installation and it seems to have held up to subsequent drive overs. I would definitely recommend this product!.

The instructions say to use a torch I used a small one with adjustable flame and a large one with a three inch diffuser both discolored or burnt the gray sealer. This was applied to one month old concrete that was cleaned two days prior and allowed to dry.

If you’re wanting to fill a gap and don’t care about the looks it will work. Before buying I looked at many reviews and it seemed like a great product but the amount of heat needed seemed to vary and it may be the plastic it’s wrapped in.

I don’t know but I do know I ruined a nice walkway and patio I made for my mother in law.

Works great so far. Using it on concrete warehouse floor. Stays slightly pliable in cool temps, so I am hopeful it won’t crack and pop out like epoxy. My heat gun works with it just fine, although I suspect a torch would be faster.

Have an addition that was added onto the back of my house. The seam between the old foundation and addition had opened up I guess with frost and was a concern for both water and air to get in but also bugs.

After doing some YouTube reach I was going to fix the crack with hydraulic cement but was concerned that any more movement and the hydraulic cement wouldn’t compress or expand. So the more research I did I found the dri core product that is both water proof expands and contracts with movement.

So I cleaned out the crack with some compressed air to make sure there wasn’t any debris in the crack and then cleaned the area with a concrete cleaner so the foam would adhere to as clean a surface as possible.

I followed the directions on the tube for applying and it was as easy as using any other spray foam I had used in the past. Once filled I let it set for a few days before I trimmed the excess. Now I can not comment on how water proof it is as I didn’t have any water intrusion thru the crack but it did stop the air that was coming thru and will keep out any ants or spiders.

I got the product about a month and a half ago and it was just to cold to use outside. It finally warmed up enough to use it. I cleaned the crack of concrete chips and then vacuumed the crack. I simply injected into the crack making sure to force it deep into the crack.

I simply just troweled the excess over the crack to help seal it. It was very easy to use, just put it in the normal caulking gun and pull the trigger. It does not get any easier than that. Now that being said I did the crack from the outside and the inside.

Product worked great and I would recommend this to everybody.

Product was shipped to my house in a timely manner. It is a three step system. When I opened the package I thought I was getting all three products. Step 1 CRACK PREP SURFACE PASTE Step 2 CRACK INJECTION EXPANDING FOAM and Step 3 CARBON FIBER REINFORCEMENT KIT.

The package only had the expanding foam in it. Didn’t feel comfortable using it on its own. Home Depot website said Dri-core products are not sold in store. My customer didn’t want to wait any longer to finish up the job so I had to purchase a different product.

Willing to try this system in the future but for now I give it 2 stars to be fair since I didn’t have a chance to test it.

Love this stuff! It’s not cheap but it does a fantastic job and also comes in a grey colour to fill cracks in concrete. Five stars! It’s not going to fill huge, deep cracks but it’s great for small to medium cracks and has a hard, flat finish.

I used this product on several large cracks that spanned the entirety of a 12′ slab. The slab was laid about 4 years ago and cracked for an unknown reason. I’m not a mason, nor am I a contractor; and still achieved the results I wanted.

I live in northern Pennsylvania, so our “freeze-thaw cycle” is tough on concrete. I wanted to get the cracks filled before water got in there, froze, and split apart further. I followed the directions to a “t” and had no issues.

I did wear rubber gloves and cleaned up with mineral spirits. The caulk dried quickly and stuck to everything easily. It’s a really tacky substance, so I have no doubt that I got a good bond with the concrete.

The color match was close to what the tube indicated, and looks fine on the slab. Unless you plan on epoxy painting the entire slab after you use this product, you’ll see where it was filled. No product is going to match your concrete exactly, nor do they advertise that.

I was surprised how well it leveled itself out, which is fantastic. I didn’t have to trowel or level it myself This product dries HARD. Which is what I was hoping for! It’s been two weeks since I made my repair, and it is still holding up great, and looking great.

So far we have had rain, snow, and temps that swung between 12 to 65 degrees, all with zero issues. I have no doubt that this caulking will last for years. As soon as spring gets here in 5 months, I have plenty other spots that I will be using this product!.

This is truly an awesome and miracle sealant product that one really has to experience it to understand what I am trying to say. It seals like no other in the market. It wins hands down. We started with our garage renovation and since it’s an old house, there were several cracks on the side walls and ceilings.

We didn’t wanted to try using cement to conceal the crack and that’s when we gave this product a try. Not only did it seal the cracks but it looked like there was never a crack before. It made it so smooth that we even painted the whole garage after sealing.

Noone could notice any difference on the walls and we are so thankful that the job was completed with effortless ease without us using any tools on it. Great for even novice DIY-ers.

As a new homeowner, I’ve been using PL Self Leveling Concrete PU Sealant to fill in small cracks around my basement and garage. I live in WV and it’s been a little cold with it being fall, but the sealant was really thick and hard to get out of the tube.

Because of that, it makes applying it a bit hard and not as smooth as I would like. It had me putting to much in certain areas. However, it does what it is said to do. It does create a seal over the crack which you are supposed to be able to paint over, though I have not tried.

The sealant does remain a little sticky to the touch after it has cured though, so painting over it might be the pest way to remedy that. Overall, it is a good sealant to tough up minor cracks, but I would not use it for much more than that.

Ever since I’ve started using this concrete sealant, I’ve been truly amazed. This concrete sealant is some of the smoothest and easiest to use sealant I’ve ever used. I especially like how easily it comes out of the tube.

Another feature that contributes to this product’s ease-of-use it its ability to self-level. It simply smooths into whatever cracks your concrete may have. I did not have to use any tools to apply this product.

Another great feature about this sealant worth pointing out is its quick dry time (although it is not actually supposed to completely cure for about a week). I applied this on an area I needed to seal and by the next day, the area I had applied the product to was completely dry to the touch.

I also really like the fact that this sealant is completely waterproof. I have not needed to reapply this sealant since I put it on my front porch (I had cracked the concrete porch area outside my apartment and did not want to have to pay for damages).

Thankfully, this product did the trick! I can’t event tell that there was a crack in the cement! The only disadvantage of this product is that it flows out of the tube very quickly. You have to be very careful when you are applying this product because you could easily squeeze too much of the sealant out of the tube.

However, overall, I’m very pleased with this sealant and would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for an easy way to fill cracks without there being any signs of repair.

I am sorry to have read that people here have been having issues with the flowability of this product. Personally, I find this product flows very well and really gets into cracks and whatnot. So maybe some here are getting old product that is already on the dry side? The dry time depends on how much of a gap one needs to fill but even with a more deeper application I find that it only takes a few hours to dry.

Its dries as a rubbery concrete. The colour always tends to be a brighter grey at first but give it a few months and it will gradually darken due to the elements. You will most likely have to reapply every 5 years or so, at least if you live in an area that has winters.

But once again, if you get this product in proper form it is very easy to apply, anyway. Definitely easier than constantly having to remove the weeds that emerge within the cracks or gaps between my concrete slabs.

Arrived within three days of ordering. Was very well packaged in a double box. I am looking forward to using the Sealant on the cracks in my concrete concrete driveway to prevent more damage next winter.

First, a disclaimer: I am a DYIer and not a professional. I purchased about 8 gallons of this for use in my kitchen renovation. It’s an old house, and I needed something that would level out the dips, but still let me drive a staple through so I could lay a fresh sheet of plywood on top (preparing for vinyl plank flooring).

This product looks the same when you open it, but in my experience, comes in 3 “flavours”: 1. Tough to spread and impossible to feather, very sticky (adheres to your tools, adding to the spreading difficulty), dries in about the time indicated.

2. Spreads well and feathers well (like a thick peanut butter). Drying time of 12 hours or so. 3. Like (2) except it takes an eternity to set. 24-36 hours depending on the thickness (in my case, I had fans and dehumidifiers going to try and speed up the process, and it still took 4-5x longer than the directions on the bucket).

Once you have it down and it’s dry, it works as advertised, but the Quality control issue here is huge, making it nearly impossible if you have to keep to a schedule. My guess is that the water content varies DRAMATICALLY per batch.

I didn’t dare try watering down the ones that were like (1) though, since it’s $50 per. I’ll be looking for another solution next time. If you need to patch a small area (2-3 ft) then I think it would be ok.

If it had not been the COVID-19 pandemic, I would likely have tried to swap 50% of the buckets I bought, it hope of getting more like (2).

I was a bit hesitant to purchase this product at first, but could not find an alternative that I could use on plywood that was not concrete-based. I wanted something that would be hard, but somewhat flexible.

What I found after using 3 buckets is that the trick is to use a mixing paddle on a drill to mix up the compound before use and add a small amount of water. After doing that, it applies almost as easily as joint compound using a wide putty knife or drywall taping knife.

It does take about a day to dry and does shrink a bit, so I had to apply it twice to build it up as needed.

Our kitchen floor tile was cracking. So many men advised me to replace the floor joists (yikes)! before I replace the cracking tile. I removed the cracking tile to the subfloor and realized the subfloor’s seams had about a 1/4 inch space between each subfloor piece.

About a month/six weeks before I laid a laminate wood floor, I sealed the seams with Flex Floor Patch and walked over it to see if it would crack. I never did! Before I put down the laminate, I took a razor knife to make sure there were no lumps in the patch and put down my new floor.

It looks great and is holding up wonderfully! Geez. I lived with that cracking tile for over 20 years so I am thrilled with my new kitchen floor. And I am a 64 year old woman.

The Sika self-leveling sealant worked very well in conjunction with the backer rod I purchased. The sealant was recommended on the You-Tube video I saw on how to seal the gap between two cement structures.

In my case, it was a sidewalk that butted up against the front porch. The old backer rod material supplied by the company who poured the sidewalk and adjoining driveway deteriorated over the years, and the materials I used to fill the gap worked very well, and it was easy to do.

Works well and easy to apply. Just follow directions and it makes a good patch

Good stuff. Melts easily in place, remains flexible. Does not harden, let water in, and fall out like pour in place products all seem to do.

Seems to be an excellent product. Flows into cracks really well when melting. Time will tell about longevity.

Back blew out immediately after squeezing the tube. Seems like it could be a decent product otherwise. It doesn’t seep into cracks well but seems good for superficial repairs. It can be useful under certain situations.

Easy directions. Great filler for small cracks.

Fantastic product. Keep in mind how you prep your surface will determine the quality of repair. Highly recommend pressure washing the surface to remove the dust and other particulates from the surface otherwise you may have bonding issues.

If you don’t have a pressure washer, a coarse brush with water will suffice. A YouTube video on the whole process which is a great guide is available. product is Designed for thin repairs anything deeper then a few layers will require a layered approach or use of another product.

Fixed the spalling on my steps and walk way without issue. The thing to keep in mind like all cement, a repair won’t match the colour of aged concrete but time and the elements will blend it. My only complaint was not having enough product.

I bought the last 2 buckets this morning. Mixed up and used first bucket very happy with Product and easy to use. Opened second bucket and concrete repair was not in a sealed bag like first one. So now I am thinking someone else had Opened it and returned this and how am I to know that it is actually in the bucket.

Lesson learned will from now on open lid to check first.

I bought and tried four different types of concrete repair material. This one is by far the best! I am a 50+ female DYI type. Used it in walkway where large chunks had come out. Based on the other review I read I’m going to buy more and try it on spalled area of exterior garage floor!.

Set quickly, which was good. I bought the wrong product for patching a different type of hardset ground cover. Oops! This product peeled off after 1/2 a year.

I purchased this product to fix large cracks in the stucco and around the window. It’s advertised as having superior bond and flexibility and is textured. It’s Polyurethane based and as such cures a little slow.

This has the advantage, you can take your time. I have applied this product for what I purchased it with great success. The bonding is outstanding (be careful, it bonds to the skin too) and it is very easy to apply.

I have seen articles online that say, polyurethane based products can and should be painted over because the are UV (sunlight) sensitive, but remain flexible over a long time. I haven’t painted them yet.

Foundation crack filled with minimal fuss. The stickiness made it interesting to apply, but also lends confidence that it really will adhere and seal the crack.

Very hard to dispense from caulking gun, have to squeeze very hard to get out. Doesn’t quickly stick to the surface, bead wants to pull away on one side or the other.

This is a superior product to use on the hairline cracks in my driveway.
