Most security cameras come with their own web server that you can access over the internet. However, if your internet connection is slow, it may take longer for the images to load. You can try increasing the frame rate or resolution to improve the quality of the image, but this will likely increase the amount of data that is transferred and may slow down your connection even further.

I have Kasa / Tapo products all over my home which I use on a daily basis. This is the first camera from Tapo I purchased and was surprised but the features some other venders charge extra for. You will need to purchase a good quality SD Card for local recording but you have the option to purchase cloud storage if you wish.
Installing then camera is simple just make sure you have a outlet close by. Syncing to the app did not go well. In fact it took several attempts before the app found the camera in added it into the reset my my devices.
Now it is synced up it’s great. This unit contains extra features other venders charge extra for. It has an emergency light and an siren to scare off Intruder that you can activate anytime or use the automatic function and if motion is detected then it will activate for a set amount of time.
The colour night vision is ok and could be improved. Night time detail is good but day time detail is great. For the price you get an excellent piece of equipment for a lower price than other venders.
Ordered and here within about one day – excellent service JL! The camera is outstanding. Very easy to set up, connect, fit etc. No snags with Wifi. As reported in the previous review, the colour 2k picture is fantastic, and at night is amazing – a really good, full colour picture.
Worth the extra cost over the cheaper 310 model. I bought at the same time a Eufy 2k, 2-camera + base station set up for the back garden. This is IR only, and does not give nearly as good a picture at the TP Link camera at night.
For my money I could have bought 4 of these instead of the Eufy 2-cam setup. Don’t get me wrong, the Eufy is also excellent, but provided you can get a mains power supply, the TP Link camera is much better value for money.
Many thanks JL – not cheaper anywhere else and a very happy customer!.
Purchased this a few weeks ago and so far it’s been a delight to use. Video quality is very good and have used a 256Gb Memory Card to have continuous recording – no monthly subscriptions required here.
There is a “Full Colour Night” mode, which is really good, far better than the infra-red view in low light conditions. The only real complaint I have is that there is no way to make the light trigger when Motion is Detected.
Rather you can make the LEDs flash with or without the Siren. So I would find that a Light being triggered would be better. But for the price there’s a lot of functionality. Hopefully a future update will correct this.

I bought and installed this camera in a paddock i have at home a month ago Its clarity of picture and sound is fantastic. Onscreen ptz controls are measured and simple to use. This with the inpicture zoom feature of reolink makes this an awesome piece of kit.
Working great once you install it. Little inconvenient since it doesn’t work with POE (needs power adapter plugged in) and doesn’t work with Reolink NVR currently sold in PB. Otherwise , great little spy.
I have two of these which I use to keep an eye on deliveries, etc. With the SD card storage and online, it works very well without a subscription. Also shows the cats coming and going!

and wide-angle viewing provides extreme coverage for your home or business. Color: White.
I don’t often have/take the time for reviews but I believe this deserves a few minutes of my time. This is the second Night owl system I have purchased. Over all, the systems work very well, however, remote viewing in the app can be a pain due to buffering and failure to load cameras.
This is likely due to slow internet speeds available on our end Although I do have some issues with my first system which has very fast internet. I installed this system in an aircraft hangar yesterday.
(8 Cameras) the first camera I installed was 32 feet in the air. I mistakenly dropped the camera from about 34 feet onto concrete floor after bouncing off of a beam. I was 100% sure it was destroyed.
I decided to go ahead with the set up and to my amazement, the camera survived that fall with NO visible damage AND connected and still worked perfectly! I have to admit this is a testament to the camera construction.
The setup for the second system was surprisingly simple as it automatically connected to the app already installed on my phone and walked me through from there. That in itself was a real relief. I had to contact tech support for my first system last week and they were quick and responsive.
Had my issue resolved in minutes. I have 5 large aircraft hangars and will likely purchase 3 more systems in the near future!.
I received my system a couple weeks ago and got it installed. The cameras are nice, images are clear and crisp, and there are many things that can be configured with the system giving a lot of flexibility.
Out of the box my cameras were not pre-paired to the receiver, so nothing worked. The install guide and online videos didn’t help. I did an online chat with Support and they walked me through the pairing process.
The Support team was great and the pairing process was easy but it was frustrating that I had to go that step. My other ding on the system is that the configuration interface is very old school. At this point, I would have expected to be able to use a web browser on a laptop to configure the system.
This is a great investment and perfect security system for people on the go as well as for keeping an eye out on your property or different rooms while you are home. You can use the cameras indoors or outdoors.
Cameras give you a clear view during the day and at night with the nighttime vision. There are lights on the cameras that will come on with motion and also record the motion. Set up was fairly easy. One thing to note: you need to have your router and screen/tv that you plan on viewing with in the same room.
This was the only thing that made the set up difficult. Also with that, you need to have the base hooked up to your router to get the view of the cameras on your phone. If you do not have the router and screen in the same room permanently you will need to choose whether to have the view of your cameras either on TV (not connected to router) or phone (router connected).
When choosing what system to get I chose the one with the cameras that were not hard wired thinking that the cameras were wireless but they are WiFi wireless and they do need to be plugged in so you need to have the camera in reach of an outlet.
That made placement of the cameras a bit difficult. When viewing the cameras on your phone you are able to have two way communication. There are multiple options on viewing the cameras that can be chosen with the mouse that is included in the set.
This unit uses a 1/2. 7″ sensor that captures 1920 x 1080 resolution video at 15 fps. IR LEDs provide up to 30′ of night vision. So far the camera survived the cold winter in Northeast Ohio. Infrared LED in the night offers good enough pictures of monitored area. Daytime images are good. I would like to mentions some problems that I have and hope the makers will take the suggestions to make it better.
1. The antenna location in the back of the camera make the camera hard to aim in some angles. 2. The power cord connection should be switched which make the camera end be male end, so it will be smaller, since most installation will need to drill a hole on the wall.
I have to drill a 1/2 inch hole. 3. The App in iPad will show the earliest events in the past 24 hours first, which most people will like to see what is the newest event first. 4. The brand name Cobra is too visible, which will give it away what kind of monitor system is to the bad guy, and provide them the information of how to defeat the system.
Im actually impressed its lasted this long so far, about a week! Been looking for a long time at systems on Amazon and the 1 star reviews are scary, plus you had to format and install a special hard drive.
With this cobra system it just uses an old school large SD card 256 GB max. My house is 80’ long end to end and wireless has no issues communicating in it. Cameras are ok, not outstanding. But what do expect for $59 each? This a system you would use to see at a glance what is going on outside.
Then engage one of your better overlap ptz cameras to investigate.

Pretty impressive camera have had this for about 7months or so. Best when paired with the reolink solar panel so you dont need to worry about charging it when direct sunlight will provide charge to the solar panel which charges the camera.
I use this camera around the chicken run and the 360 degree feature allows me to see where my chooks are but also pan/tilt around to see around the coop especially during the night as this camera also has night vision as well.
The camera takes a Micro SD card and with enough storage you can record as much as you want (does not record continuously ). Motion detection is good, easy installation and overall a good camera. Only complaint i have about this camera is the connection even though it is connected to my wifi extender which is in close range.
At times the camera will fail to load and this happens to my other wireless reolink cameras aswell , this issue can remain for while however , regardless of this i still recommend the camera.
Serving the purpose it’s mainly intended for. Would like if it had a longer distance for motion triggering, and for our purposes I’d prefer the red lights to be invisible at night

Reolink Argus 2 offers great flexibility for home security, it doesn’t require any wires and is powered by solar panel or rechargeable batteries. You can put this camera anywhere you like, and you can use it for watching a home, keeping an eye on the elderly, babies, pets, etc.
I bought the Argus 2 after trying the Swann wire-free cameras which were around 30% more expensive and I couldn’t be happier with it. In fact, I’ve just purchased a second one. The picture quality is great at night and day and the motion sensor is also pretty good.
Still a bit laggy on the motion sensor so you miss the first few seconds, but the swann version barely ever picked up movement in the yard. The lag is about 1 second on the low definition and 2-3 seconds on HD, which is far better than the 10-15 second delay on the Swann cameras.
Also, the 2-way audio works great, the sounds are loud and clear. The Swann version was barely audible. Setup was quick and easy and the options for the bracket are great. I’d recommend using your own screws for the bracket though, I threaded the provided screws straight away which was annoying but I wasn’t being very careful.
As I said, I liked this so much that I’ve ordered a second one already, so I would definitely recommend this product.
It looks good quality, it is heavy. It covers a good area and during the day the image is excellent in 1080p, good colors. What has disappointed me is the poor night lighting or its low sensitivity to capture in the dark.
You have to put it in an area with medium to good lighting at night. I also bought the Argus Eco and it has much better night vision. And even better the Argus Lumus. But hey, I already bought it and I will have to locate it where I can take the good of the camera.
The Argus 2 camera is excellent. I didn’t want to have all the faffing about with hard wiring a camera or running cables through windows etc so did a lot of research on wireless, rechargeable products.
I am so glad I finally made the purchase. It is very easy to set up with a mobile phone and has very clear instructions. Further concise and useful help and support is available on the Reolink website.
I initially bought one camera for the back of my property but was so impressed with this device that I bought another one for the front. While I found the battery life to be good, I went ahead and purchased 2 solar panels for the cameras.
I have no negative comments at all to make on the Reolink cameras. I installed them more as a visual deterrent rather than a full blown security system and they provide me with a good level of security with which I am more than satisfied.
I have positioned the cameras at a height which requires me to go up a stepladder (no problem) and hopefully no-one will be tall enough to just unscrew it.

There is nothing NOT to dislike about this camera. I have 3 already from another vendor. Wish I just came to Walmart. But anyway. Very easy to hook up. Can watch and listen from anywhere. You will need a SD Card.
I bought Kexin 64 and they work great. I am a camera freak. I have tried a lot of them. They also alert you immediately. Like maybe 1 sec delay. You can watch live view for ever if you wanted too. Up, down, left, right.
There is nothing NOT to like. These cameras are fantastic. I recommend these.
Main grip: Time/date is failing to sync using the phone app. So it’s difficult to track down the time for a specific video recording I’m looking for. Would be 5 stars if it synced properly. + decent image quality + was easy to setup + app works + wireless connectivity works + controlling pan/tilt works – time/date won’t sync – mounting system could be sturdier/better.
Excellent security camera and works brilliantly. I now have 3 of these. They are indoor security cameras but I have them pointed out the window overlooking my garden as its the garden plants and planters that were being stolen and items being moved about.
If the RF red lights are turned off then they don’t reflect against the window at night time. This works perfectly because I have a good lightened area outside. I have the Reolink app on both phone and ipad.
The ipad because I have impaired vision. I’m so glad I found these security cameras on PB Tech.
IP camera with light, 100% wireless Battery/solar operation Colourful night vision 1080p full HD 2-way audio With battery & light – all wireless, all in colour With the Argus 3, you will never have to worry about cable clutter and blurred images again.
Thanks to the rechargeable battery, the camera can operate fully wirelessly and autonomously. The spotlight allows it to also record night videos in colour. In addition, the light acts as an effective deterrent to provide even more protection for your house.
Colourful night vision Watch the pictures and videos in colour, even when it is dark. 1080p full HD Watch the videos with excellent image quality and rich detail. WiFi connection Works via 2. 4 GHz WiFi for easy set-up.
Rechargeable battery Battery operated and long battery life with each charge. Solar-powered Always stays fully charged with the Reolink solar panel. No need to change the batteries. IP65 weather-proof Come rain or shine, this camera will always do the job.
This is by far the best cellular camera available. I’ve tried the Arlo and several brands of trail cameras and this one exceeds all of them. Reception is excellent even in areas where phones will not work.
Solar charging is great. The Pan and Tilt make this camera so awesome. Motion detection is excellent. The app is easy yo use. The time lapse feature is fun and useful. Both color and infrared night vision work good.
Cloud storage option is well worth the subscription. Video capture on motion makes it invaluable for wildlife detection. I recommend an after market cellular omnidirectional antenna for very poor reception areas.
We purchased a cell signal tester and the cheap ones work better than the expensive ones. If you have trouble firing it up with a nano SIM card don’t give up. It’s a process of learning how to install an apn file in the nano SD card but once you figure it out it puts the competition to shame.
We have tried nearly every cell provider and settled on Mint Mobile. Our area works best on a GSM cell protocol. GSM is the protocol that AT&T and T-Mobile use but all unlocked providers also use the GSM protocol.
Verizon is the only odd ball cell protocol out there. Don’t expect to just stick in a nano SIM and fire it up. You will have to install an apn file into the nano SD before firing up the camera. Support can help online but just look up how to put an apn file in the SD card and your up and running.
The area that we are running these cameras in is such bad reception that you are completely dead on your phone. By the way the aftermarket antenna height makes absolutely no difference during testing with all antennas.
I hope one day Reolink will add a motion detection sensor that when it detects motion it will auto pan and tilt the camera to track it. Keep up the great work Reolink. Your an idiot if you go buy a cellular trail camera after reading this review.
This camera was recommended to me by a family member. I got 2! Very easy to set up. Clear images at night, I get a notification as soon as there is activity. Works by detecting a moving object (car or person) as well as a change in pixels on the screen so double accuracy.
I can talk, turn on an alarm, turn on a powerful spotlight. All from my phone! It hardly uses any battery power. I’ve had it in use for two weeks and haven’t had to charge it. I have a 64gb micro SD card and the videos overwrite when it’s full.
Camera worked great for 15 months then the solar panel stopped being able to keep it charged. Since it is in a remote location this makes it useless until I can drive 300 miles, get out the ladder, get up on the roof and charge the battery.

Best Security Cameras For Slow Internet Buying Guides
Introduction
The installation of security cameras is a big decision that comes with a lot of factors to consider. One of the most important factors is the Internet connection speed because the security cameras will need to be able to connect to the network in order to send and receive data.
If the Internet connection is too slow, then the security cameras will not be able to function properly. Another factor to consider is the cost of the security cameras and the installation. Security cameras can be quite expensive, so it is important to make sure that the budget is taken into consideration.
Why security cameras need a fast internet connection
A fast connection of security cameras is needed for slow internet because the cameras need to be able to communicate with the security system quickly. If the connection is too slow, the security system may not be able to keep up with the cameras and the image quality may suffer.
The benefits of having a security camera with a slow internet connection
There are several benefits to having a camera with a connection to security cameras for slow internet. Perhaps the most obvious benefit is that it allows you to keep an eye on your property even when you’re not there.
