20 Best Scratch Resistant Stainless Steel Sink (2023 Updated)

Love the product. I like the way it was packed. Mostly you see the product just in styrofoam. Not this one. It’s in a plastic bag, then into a black bag. Then the corner have the styrofoam. The thickness is perfect and the style.

Sink packaged nicely and looks as advertised. Nice combination of length, width, and depth. Only warning is that sink didn’t match the dimensions in the template which is a problem if countertop fabricators are relying on it.

My sink’s interior dimensions were 29 5/8″ x 16 1/2″ when the template said 29 1/2″ x 16 1/4″. As long as you template off the actual sink there is no problem.

This sink is great, and looks nice. The bottom angles aren’t as pronounced in real life compared to the picture. The only negative is that the included strainer didn’t fit in our Moen garbage disposal inlet/sink drain.

My Kitchen remodel was done in 2018. I should have written this review years ago. The sink looked beautiful when it was installed. Almost Immediately I had scratches everywhere. I have used the sink grates since day one.

This has been very disappointing. We do not have children at home and mainly use the dishwasher. It ruins the look of my kitchen. I also get rust specks on the bottom of the sink – grates are always in place.

DO NOT purchase this piece of junk.

I have had this sink for approx 3 years now. The size is awesome. No loud sounds at all. Cleans up pretty well. I just use regular dish soap and wash. I would highly recommend for any smaller kitchen or even regular sized kitchen.

The 24 inch was a little too small for my needs but the 26 inch fit the bill. No need for a 30inch sink as I’d rather have more counter space. This product will not disappoint you.

We recently purchased this KRAUS sink for our kitchen reno from Home Depot. First, I must say that the sink is beautiful and love the way it looks in our new kitchen. And given the exceptional packaging, it seemed like a very high end purchase.

However, I must advise you of the following issues to keep in mind if you are considering this purchase. 1) Poor Drainage – although there are groove channels in the bottom of the sink, it seems that the channels are insufficient to drain all the water in the basin.

The result is always having water pooling on the bottom of the sink basins and unless you dry it every time you are constantly going to have water (pool) spots in your sink. Obviously, drying your sink after every use is NOT an option.

Very Poor design, in my opinion. 2) RUST SPOTS – immediately after being installed, probably after the second day of use, we started to notice surface rust spots appearing. As we use the stainless steel grates included with the sink purchase there is almost never any contact with any metals on the bottom of the sink yet, somehow, we are constantly getting surface rust stains.

Our last stainless steel sink (much lower quality) NEVER has such issues and we didn’t even use those grates. Pots and utensils were in constant contact with our old sink and never once did we have this issue.

Again, this is a beautiful sink but functionally and quality wise, I have to say that I am extremely disappointed with it. After all the work we put into the new kitchen, it is a shame that this product has tarnished our experience.

You use your sink every day and believe me, you cannot ignore these issues. It will continually remind you that you wish you had bought another product. At this point, after installing the Quartz counter top and all the pluming, I really don’t think I have a choice but to try and live with it.

I will try to contact KRAUS and see what they are willing to do but, I’m pretty sure there isn’t much that can be done. But hey, if I’m wrong and they somehow rectify these issues, I will definitely be back here to update my review and the rating.

Truly disappointed!.

The sink is a great size and shape. It’s scratched up after 1 year of heavy use, though – my contractor used it to clean not only his hands, but also his tools . . . .

Love this new sink. Our old one had two compartments and I hated it. It is big and the strainers that came with it are so helpful.

This sink scratches even with the most diligent care. We can’t even figure out what is scratching it because we set very few items in it and put a thick plastic mat on bottom when washing dishes. My old stainless steel sink for 40 years ago never did anything like this.

It also has water spots unless wiped out after every use and we don’t have hard water. Love the rubber rack and cutting boards for the top and that they didn’t cost extra, but differently not worth buying the sink for when it preforms so poorly.

Awesome sink for the price. Very deep and the extras with the sink, the bottom grate, cutting board, drying rack, drain and cover really are very good quality. Cleans easily with soap and a sponge. I used the pro drain cover over the disposal opening and it works fine.

Nice to have the cutting board in a smaller kitchen scrape scraps right into the drain and not lose counter space.

Nice looking sink. Love the extras, all of which I would have otherwise purchased. My plumber recommended using a different drain than what was provided (plastic). There might be a slight pitch issue with this sink as food and stuff kind of gets stuck in corners of the sink (rather than easily drain).

Still happy with the purchase.

Sink arrived safely and sink was wrapped in a black dust bag. knew It was going to be great when I saw that. I is very heavy and exactly how it is pictured. It has not been installed yet, due to kitchen remodel, but can not wait to see it installed into my clients kitchen.

I love this sink and the rack that comes with it. We had it installed about a year ago and I still love it. The size fits perfectly in a 30″ cabinet. What’s really great is that my 40 lb dog fits in it for baths.

It was delivered quickly and in perfect condition.

We installed this sink (with new countertops) in a house we are selling. The sink looks great with a deep bowl, straight sides and of course, the Perfect Drain. Elkay’s Perfect Drain provides a clean path for water and debris to flow out of the sink without an unsightly sink ring to collect food particles or plumber’s putty to get stained with coffee, tea or strongly-colored liquids.

The Perfect Drain is uniquely designed to work with In-Sink-Erator Quick Connect food disposal, and does so easily. I also recommend purchasing Elkay’s EL34 Stainless Steel Sink Restoration Kit, to remove small scratches from these sinks, as well as an appropriately-sized stainless steel grid to further protect the sink from scratches by utensils or other metal objects.

I am very pleased with my beautiful classy, stylish Elkay Lustertone Undermount kitchen sink. It’s so big and it is very easy to install might I add. Elkay is a very trustworthy brand since the early 1900s that should tell you that it’s great strong quality made.

It’s a single bowl under mount and it gives you lots of space to soak dishes stack them. I even give my granddaughter a bath in it it’s that big. It has a sound guard pads and undercoating so your not making a ton of noise while doing dishes.

All I can say is this is going to be make your kitchen look brand new very classy and updated. I highly recommend it.

I replaced my double bowl under mount sink with this elkay single bowl and I couldn’t be happier. The amount of space you have to maneuver dirty pots and pans to wash is amazing. I can not believe all the space! My husband had this installed in under an hour from removal of the old one to the new sink.

It’s so pretty how shiny it is. I love that I’ll be able to buff out scratched when the time comes. With 3 kids I’m surprised it hasn’t scratched yet. The sink itself seems very heavy duty so I’m not worried about it getting a dent in it.

This is a fantastic sink. Especially for the price. The different sized basins are nice and the room for the single hole faucet works great. The basket strainer that comes with this is enormous and works so well.

Finish has held up well over past 9ish months too. Zero complaints. This is a fantastic sink – doubly so due to the low price relative to alternatives.

This sink is beautiful. I bought this sink with some reluctance after not hearing of this company. The primary reason was for the depth and drains. When the sink came the quality became evident. It was relatively easy to install.

I had concerns from other reviews; the fit was tight but no more than any other of its size. The material to muffle noise is more than just a spray-on. I will never buy anything but Kraus for stainless sinks again.

I love this sink! There aren’t many large basin / small basin double-sinks out there, and the choices become even fewer when you want options like drains to the back and ‘one hole’ for faucet installation.

Most of the options are also much pricier than this one. Once I’d settled on this Kraus model, I found the local DIY places either didn’t carry it, couldn’t order it, or had it on backorder. I ordered it from Build – my first experience with buying from them – and it arrived just a couple of days later.

The sink itself is every bit as nice as I’d hoped it would be. Even better was the superb service from Build. The prices here (I also bought the faucet for the sink from them) were the same as the stores I checked, and in two cases, a little lower than the stores.

The delivery was quick, the packing was well-done – next time I want something that’s out of the ordinary or not available locally, I will be looking here. Highly recommend Build. com – and the Kraus sink is a real gem, too!.

Hi so I mainly bought this sink for the size. That’s the best part. It is a great size, wide and deep. BUT, the cost of sinks are insane. Completely outrageous. And for the money, this sink is just that – a sink.

I am not sure what I was expecting, but for the money, I thought it would blow me away. But no, again it’s just a sink. Is the brushed stainless nice? Yes, but it’s not amazing. Is the quality of the drains and plugs ok? Yes, but they are just drains and plugs.

I think that maybe the name Kraus is why the sink was so much, but then again, it’s not as fancy or premium as the price suggests. So yes, good sink, but just a sink so don’t expect to be mind blown.

And the price, the price is very high for just a sink.

Very nice smaller size sink suitable for prep area or wet bar with real usability. The finish is excellent and the covered drain/strainer is very nice and a good look. Customer doesn’t yet use battom grid but may find it useful with further use – it is solidly made and perfectly fitted.

Great design- although a corner of the under mount area came bent. No option to replace since all were back ordered. Our contractor had to bend back into proper shape. Shame given the price point, but this is not the only product in our reno with damage or looking like a prior return (not from BUILD).

We are near the end so just rolled with it!.

Best sink for the price. Thick steel with sound deadening. Got a single bowl for our kitchen remodel and it was really high end. Now we are building our dream home and will be installing a Kraus double bowl.

Don’t even bother looking at other brands. These are the best.

The Kraus sink is a gem! Has a nice finish and came with grates for each side – a useful bonus. I anticipate that it will be as hardworking as my previous Elkay, which could take a lot of use and still shine.

The directions suggest a little more care needs to be taken with the Kraus but we shall see. It will be used in the same way.

This sink is great! all the included accessories and replacement scratch guards are a big bonus. The texture on the sink is good for absorbing some sound and surprisingly easy to keep clean.

It looks great but I haven’t installed it yet because the quartz countertop hasn’t been installed yet. i’m sure that I will be completely satisfied with it.

I like the sink. The square strainer is a conversation piece. I had a problem getting a dishwasher tailpiece to connect. I tried and tried to get advice. I was told to change to a 1-1/4″ tailpiece. For a 1-1/2″ kitchen sink? Did they think I put the dishwasher on a bathroom sink? I pushed the issue and hit a dead end.

Turns out you cant get an off the shelf PVC dishwasher tailpiece to work. I had to buy a plain tailpiece, use the nut that came with the sink and put that into a dishwasher tailpiece. I’m not brainiac, but I know kitchen sinks are 1-1/2″, definitely not 1-1/4″.

I can’t fault where i purchased the sink, but Kraus really needs to review their support. They should know more than me, not less. They should know installing an undersized tailpiece is not how it’s done.

Second time I’ve purchased this sink. It’s a great size and in case anyone cares, it DOES fit it a 30″ wide IKEA base. I like the quirky square drain. My existing like this one has been installed for 5 yrs now and has held up beautifully.

I bought this after seeing the square Franke sink at my local bath hardware store and thought I’d save some money. This looks similar to that very expensive sink. However, It doesn’t drain (food, water etc) that well and scratched easily when I lifted the metal rack to clean the basin.

But it looks great and is sizable. Overall it was a bargain however I think overtime I may regret not spending the money on the Franke.

I used this in an efficiency apartment where countertop was lacking and you know the occupant isn’t likely to be cleaning up after a thanksgiving feast. The bowls are deeper than a “promo” sink, so the gauge of steel isn’t paper thin and the sink has a useable depth.

Product description was accurate enough that I had the counters cut prior to actually getting the sink and it all fit just fine. I have another unit we’re going through right away, but I really wanted to see this sink in person before I bought another.

I’m very happy and will order the second one with no qualms.

I am doing a small renovation to an rv that was in need of repairs. This sink replaced an old white plastic sink and almost fit perfectly in place but needed a small trimming of the countertop to allow for the rails that are attached to the underside of the sink (this is the part that will hold the mounting clips that will secure your sink to the countertop).

Used a cheap jigsaw to cut the countertop and had no problems. Haven’t used the sink yet. No dents or scratches.

This was my first experience purchasing any product from Elkay! However, my wife is a strong supporter of your kitchen ware. Our kitchen sink is the last appliance to be installed to complete a five week major renovation.

Prior to receipt, I inspected the merchandise and found it damaged around the outer rim and in a used condition! The shipping container was undamaged but the aforementioned item was poorly protected.

Guys, I know you can do a professional job – live up to your reputation! We”ll, try one more time, than we”ll ask for a complete refund for all merchandise, including all accessories associated with this kitchen sink.

Unfortunately this was an impulse buy because of the price. it seemed good at first until we realized it didn’t come with an exact matching Garbage disposal flange (there isn’t one that exists unless I just couldn’t find it) or a rack.

We ended up going with a company called Strictly Sinks because it included every piece/accessory and ended up being a similar cost for a thicker gauge steel.

My sink arrived quickly and was packaged securely. The color is a beautiful soft gold. I am looking forward to seeing it all put together when the marble counter tops are installed!

It is simply everything that says its description, I do not have bad news about this magnificent sink, I was very concerned that it fulfilled the said measures and that it was resistant and durable which is notorious when using it.

This sink is big and beautiful! Very happy with this purchase. Great Price for a quality sink.

Firm, stable, accessible, modern and deep filter basket catches many things before I need to remove it, is what I was looking for in particular for a new sink.

The sink arrived in good condition and without delay. It is as described and has a real nice appearance. One suggestion, however, the perimeter edges are very sharp; they should be ground down when manufactured to eliminate a probable injury/cut source to anyone who handles the sink before it is installed and during its installation.

Do this, and I would rate the unit 5 stars! Yes, I would buy the unit again and would recommend it to others. And yes, it does fit a 33″ sink base.

We bought a similar sink in 2018, live on the Caribbean island of Bonaire & have been thrilled with the quality and durability. Things corrode quickly here and there is no evidence of any rust or degradation.

Here are my only thoughts on this sink: 1. there is no drain. We have had the faucet running & had the sink overflow multiple times. We have a cement kitchen & tile floors so there was no damage when it overflowed.

That is not the sinks fault, but just something for buyers to know: if you have this, pay attention when you’re running water 🙂 2. The pitch of the sink is not steep enough to easily drain. We have dust blow in daily, so we scrub it daily, but even when rinsing dishes, debris doesn’t naturally flow to the drain – there’s an extra effort to push things towards the drain.

As you can imagine, building a house is stressful in itself. Trying to pick out colors, and things that will compliment is difficult in person. Now add only seeing it in pictures to that mix. I could not be more pleased with this sink.

I knew I wanted something different, classy, but practical. I found this sink. My husband was on board with it as well. big plus! I had ordered all of my faucets and hardware for the cabinets before getting the sink.

I know that sounds crazy, but it’s how it happened. We ordered the sink and paid a little extra to get it in while we were at the build site. The day came for it to arrive. I was like a child at Christmas.

My husband unpacked the sink and I was so happy with the color. I was afraid it was going to be obnoxious, and boy was I ever wrong. We bought the champagne bronze faucets and that color is an exact match to the sink.

Ordering was a breeze, delivery on time and one satisfied customer! I couldn’t take pictures because we don’t even have walls up yet. Just know I am totally in love with the look and quality of the sink.

It is a little on the pricey side, but you do get what you pay for.

Let me say first, I love the look and size of this sink! Daily task in the kitchen are a breeze. We’re able to wash oversized pans without any hassle. But I dislike that although the description of this sink says that it is scratch resistant, I have scratches from washing my pots and pans.

For the price of this sink that’s only been installed for about 6 months, that’s unacceptable. The optional drains scratch very easily as well. Don’t waste the $70 cause you can’t tell they’ve ever matched the sink.

I have looked into buying sink protectors but because of the sink’s size, that mission has been impossible. Customer Service hasn’t been able to help us neither. I wish protectors were offered for this unique sink.

Also they don’t offered garbage disposal flange to match the color.

While the finish was fine, the tracks under the lips were not centered, which made for installation challenges. And there was a dent in one corner of the lip. It seems that quality control on the product was not as it should be.

Replaced a ceramic cast iron sink with this stainless steel monster. It is huge. We’re talking big enough to bathe a 4 year old in it. Yet it replaced a sink of the same overall dimensions but this one is much deeper.

By going to a a single open sink we gained a ton of space when washing or preparing just about anything. The first one delivered had a bent lip due to Elkay’s poor packaging. But FaucetDirect immediately took care of that with zero hassle and the best attitude possible.

A great sink. I had to replace my original sink after hurricane Harvey. My granite was cracked and sink was glued to granite so I couldn’t salvage my first sink. I now have a Elkay sink and my original inserts.

We bought this sink many years ago. Never got around to writing a review. So why review the sink now you ask? We are renovating our kitchen and we like this sinking we are reusing it. It’s deep, cleans well and looks great.

This is a great 18ga sink that has a little smoother finish than most of the stainless steel sinks in this price point.

We were in search of a large and deep overmount sink for our kitchen remodel. My husband and I settled on this one after about one month of comparison shopping. We’ve been using it for about a week now, and we really love this sink! It’s HUGE and can fit large pots or the large tray from our daughter’s high chair for quick cleaning.

The sink does have a logo right below where the faucet goes (which the picture on the website doesn’t show you), but it’s not big or very noticeable (thanks to the other reviewers who did note this in their review!.

The reason I gave it 4 stars, however, is because:1. The basin is not slanted enough for all water or food pieces to go directly into the drain. We just use a squeegee to push the water and food specks toward the drain, and.

2. This item scratches pretty easily. We already have a couple of scratches on ours from our pans, but it’s not too much of a big deal to us. If it would be a big deal for you, remember to buy a sink grid and you should be good.

With all of that said, we would definitely recommend this sink!.

The first sink arrived damaged. it clearly was dropped as the metal edges were bent. The plumper was unable to install it. He got paid for simply showing up and leaving! I waited weeks to get the new sink in, and two weeks to find out what to do with the damaged one.

The sink was installed and within two weeks, the stainless steel finish started to discolor (discoloration three inches from the drain). I have already paid two different plumbers and will just live with the sink.

not interested in going through the hassle of taking the sink out. The good news is. it’s a very good looking sink.

We bought this because we didn’t want to replace our countertops. This can be mounted underneath or on top. We chose to install as drop in because of the flat, wide reveal. I love it that way. My only caution is the square corners have to be cleaned out more than a rounded edge.

The square design is beautiful and contemporary, but be prepared for more cleaning.

It arrived within days of ordering. I bought it online so I hadn’t seen it in person and was a little worried. My kitchen designer had suggested a much more expensive sink; this one was several hundred less.

No need to have worried, it arrived unscratched and looks beautiful and is the perfect size for my counter.

I bought this sink a month ago to replace my double sink. Huge upgrade, more spacious and useful – I can finally fit multiple big pots and plates in the sink. The corners are also rounded which is great as food doesn’t catch in the corners.

Overall happy with the purchase.

Love this sink and the 28” width is perfect for a single bowl sink. The sink drains well. The grid at the bottom protects from scratches and is easily removable for cleaning. The bonus is that it’s a Canadian made product.
