This scale is great! It can weigh as much as a 90lb item. It has a “hold” button, so that packages that when packages are large and cover the screen, you can tap hold so the weight reading will stay when you remove the package.

You can also use it with batteries OR a plug. It is nice looking and a good size so as not to be obnoxious to look at. I tested items with my food scale and both read the same so I know it’s accurate.

And, it was very affordable.

I have two WeighMax scales. This model and the black 75 pound model. Both are great. I bought the black one first for about 25 bucks (same for silver 90 pound model) figuring even if it only lasted a few months it was worth the risk.

I’ve had no issues. Over a year with the same battery. These are great and useful and take the same space as my previous pitney bowes 5 pound scale while weighing exponentially more. My only issue with the black scale is that is beeps when it achieves weight and the continues a single beeps about every 10 seconds.

That has been corrected with this scale. Beeps once and that’s it. Highly recommended for everyday shipping.

This scale, although listed as a postage scale, is exactly what I needed for my kitchen. I weigh a lot of vegetable’s & fruit from my garden for my freezer, also meat and fish. It is the perfect size.

It’s very easy to use also. My husband found it, and after reading the reviews, a few other purchasers mentioned using it as a kitchen scale so I decided to try it. I’m so glad I did, it’s perfect. The numbers are easily seen and read.

This is a good label printer, except that the software is terrible for printing shipping labels for envelopes. Labels made by its own company! In browsers for viewing pdfs, none would not find the correct label for printing, and when I finally got the label to print, the orientation was off and the print was too small.

Thanks to photoshop, i could edit the pdf orientation for the correct print. Nothing is easy with this printer, but after some finagling, I got it to work for me but I’m highly disappointed at the difficulty to print a simple label.

I wasted like 20 labels trying to get this thing to work.

Very happy so far. We ship some heavier items that needed a big-boy scale, and the Dymo has been great for our use. We’re not using the computer hookup, but we really don’t need to. I appreciate the simplicity of use and capacity.

We mainly bought it for items that are 100lbs+, but it’s also been able to accurately and easily weight items that are less than 2lbs. I do wish the scale platform was a little larger, rather than having a metal frame, but it’s not a huge deal for us, and going to a larger scale would be quite a bit more expensive.

This is my third one of this scale. The first one lasted me a year, the second one is still going strong after two years and since business is increasing, i added another. I am really hard on scales and they are used all day long anywhere from a few ounces to full weight.

If a scale lasts a year with me, I’m excited! My only criticism of this scale is the display is hard to read. I wish it had a brighter setting and was angled a bit more. I work on a tall table but am a tall person and you almost need to be at eye level to read it.

That is my only reason for a rating of 4 and not a rating of 5.

I am a fan of Dymo anything and this doesn’t disappoint. I wanted a 25lb scale and when I went online it prompted me with a 20% off coupon which made my day. Small enough to fit in my desk drawer and large enough to hold some larger boxes.

I love the Hold feature so I can remove package and still see the weight. I like the USB feature as well with battery option.

The product is good and for the price you can’t beat it, however it’s missing a few things I wish I would have known before I bought it. If you decide to plug it in to an outlet, there is no switch to turn it off.

It must be unplugged in order to turn the power off. The second thing is it doesn’t measure weight under 1 pound. A lot of my packages weigh anywhere from 5 oz -35 lbs. Unfortunately I have to use a different scale for anything under 1 pound.

I was super excited to receive this scale. Having the digital weight separate from the actual scale is great for oversized boxes. I am finding that I will need to purchase another scale for weights under 1 pound.

This scale has registered as light as 10 oz. As for the construction, it’s a very nice scale. I was impressed.

It’s a good scale and over all I would recommend it however if I can just point out a few negatives. First is that quality is lacking in some places as display housing looks cheap and also the stainless steel is very thin so when i went to weigh myself “195LB” i was worried as it started to bend however it did pop back into shape when i got off.

Second is that I can’t seem to set it to LB & OZ by default so every time you turn it on you need to wait a few seconds to change it but other then that I like it.

Accurate, Easy to use & good value! This unit with the main LCD display separated by a coiled wire is wall mountable making it easy to view the display with large items. The main unit is powered by a wall adapter which is included but also can be powered by two ‘AAA’ batteries which are also included.

Having the option to power up the scale with batteries is great if you want to wall mount the main display where no power outlet is nearby like in my case. Other competing products were similar but did not include the AC wall adapter or batteries.

The other plus to having the weight pad and LCD display separate is you can place the weighing pad on a nearby desk, counter or on the floor depending on the size & weight of the item being weighed. This product is very similar to a postal outlet scale but costs considerably less.

This Scale is very accurate, before I started shipping I weighed a block of aluminum roughly 15 lbs and noted the exact weight as displayed, I then took the same piece of aluminum to my local postal outlet and weighed it again and the result was exactly the same.

Now after using it several times to ship items it is exactly accurate approx 7 of 10 times, the other 3 of 10 items is within 0. 002 kg +/- 0. 001 – handles large parcels to 110 lbs / 50 kg. Not sure about the long term accuracy & durability after a decade of use, but will update my review if needed.

I also have a standard type scale with the LCD display built in and it can be a problem when weighing large parcels, hard to see the display with large boxes that have to be weighed on the floor. Easy to read blue back lit display! Overall this product is well made, easy to use, has two power options both of which are included & is very accurate for a fair price.

The scale feels like good quality materials. Base is strong feeling steel, remote display feels like good quality plastic. Nothing feels like it is doomed to falling apart like so many Chinese products.

Works good. Display is clear and bright. Buttons are good. It plugs into the wall, as well as having batteries for mobile use. When plugged in and turned on, it stays on until you shut it off. If you are using Tare mode, you won’t lose your setting from auto-shutdown if you walk away from it.

This Scale may look like most other models but it is far superior for 2 reasons. First is the fact that the digital display is attached separately with a phone cord that extends a good distance. It also has screws so that you can attach it onto a wall or shelving.

Second is the most important factor and that is the Scale can handle a weight of 11 Pounds. I have not seen another model that supports over 40lbs much less 110lbs. Due to this the scale itself is made very well and solid.

My daughter which is 84. 7lbs stood on it. Absolutely the best Scale on the market and to purchase any other from another company would be more than foolish.

For the price this Ultraship 75 is well suited for my needs. A close friend has a similar unit for 3 years with no problems. I purchased my unit on my friends recommendation. This unit weighs in five different modes ; grams , pound & ounces , kilograms , pounds or ounces.

The device is battery powered with an AC adaptor option available.

Good product. Very versatile for a wide range of applications from weighing baking ingredients to mailing packages. You get what you pay for. This is worth the asking price.

The scale is very good quality, and of sturdy construction. My only complaint is that it doesn’t actually come with the charging cable, and you instead have to purchase C batteries. I would have liked to have known this prior to purchase.

The scale itself is nice, very sturdy. The controller is cheap. The battery connection is poor; the connectors don’t fit a 9V battery very well. It did work great the first time I used it. I very carefully weighed numerous items from 5 to 45 pounds and all was well.

It has been in storage in nmy office since that day and today, with a new battery, it powers upand I can change modes but will not register any weight. It is essentially shot. Very disappointed!.

I was impressed with this scale for it’s quality, it’s size and capacity for the price. There’s a couple of bones to pick with it though. I can’t seem to tell if there’s any sort of back light to it? If there is I don’t know how to turn it on? The manual is at least printed in English and is fair but says nothing about what the USB cable is all about? Having looked back on the posting in ebay I find that it’s an alternate power source, I’m assuming you just plug it into any USB powered outlet such as a phone battery charger.

Most of these things charge at around 7 VDC. This unit runs off of a 9VDC battery so I guess if it’s running off of a wall charger the drop in 2 volts is inconsequential? Would be nice to have this sort of information with the unit? It’s also a bit too heavy duty for weighing what I need it to weigh.

I bought it for my laboratory use so it’s minimum 6 oz capacity makes it useless for any quantity less than this, still I’ll keep it because I can use it around my house.

I use this daily for my eBay business and have had no problems so far. Pros: 1. it is heavy and stable. 2. It is accurate 3. It will handle packages upto 330lbs. 4: You can actually get an accurate weight of yourself provided you weigh less than the max.

5. Display can be placed away from under large packages. I can think of a few more pros but time wont permit. Things that may be a problem for some: 1. It has no lighted display 2. It wont read any weight less than 6 ounces.

3. Display does not have a way to mount on wall. None of these are a deal killer for me. I’m happy to finally have a good quality heavy duty scale. I’m very pleased.

I bought this digital postal scale a week 2 weeks ago. I was hoping to find one with 25 lbs instead of ten. This one worked well for for as I had a bigger box. I presses hold button and blue light comes on.

Then I put box on it and when it quit flashing then box off and still able to see the weight. One time it kept blinking so I pulled it off and found out it was 11+lbs. I use the batteries which I already had at home.

I ship boxes to friends and family lately. I found a better way to get postage via a website that is a less expensive way to ship USPS boxes, bubbled envelopes and letters. I saved nearly $5 doing it this way.

Saving $ here and there works. Scale is small but still a good size to put it with other items near my office area at home. Right now it’s in box I bought in.

I like my Dymo scale. I had originally bought the smaller version and it just stopped working one day so I upgraded to this one. I like it better and it seems to be working well. It can weigh heavier items which is better.

It’s not too large either. It fits nicely on my desk. Really easy to use.

I can’t trust the scale. I like the functions, ease of use, but about a month ago I weighed some coffee beans I bought, It was about 10 % light, Then weighed some store bought coffee, again 10% light.

Honestly it is still in the car. I have a scale and need to bring this thing inside the house. I will use it for eBay selling. The scale is smaller than what I have right now and will for in a file cabinet drawer.

It will do what it needs to for a reasonable price. I am not concerned about accuracy as it will be used for shipping weight. An once here or there is not going to make a difference but expect it to be close.

Each time I go to Harbor freight i find something else interesting. Soon those stores are going to be to small.

I did a lot of research for my first scale. It was hard to decide as many had scales great reviews, but I always analyzed the bad reviews for each product first, that’s where you’ll get lots of good info.

This scale however didn’t really have any bad reviews so I went for it. What a great decision. This Cen-Tec is so simple to use and spot-on accurate. I weigh my items and compare the weights when the Post Office weighs them.

I’ll tell you what. 100% accurate. to even a tenth ounce. It doesn’t do anything weird, just straight forward weighing. No menu’s, options and such. The construction is very sturdy and it runs on a 9V battery or the included A/C adaptor.

I use the battery for convenience. I would highly recommend this scale.

I’ve used this scale for over two years. Really like it a lot. Small space. Very accurate. I like that the readout is connected to the actual scale via cord so you it’s easier to read the weight. HOWEVER – the AAA batteries it comes with.

they’re slightly thinner than normal brand AAA batteries (Duracell, Ray O Vac, etc. ). This hasn’t been an issue until two days agao when I received a LOW warning signal on the display and it wouldn’t work.

Went to replace the batter with some Energizer batters (AAA) I have. The compartment does NOT accept normal size AAA batteries unless you REALLY cram them in there. And after I did that, it wouldn’t work because the batteries weren’t making proper contacts.

And, boy, getting the “too big” AAA batteries out. took an act of God. After about 30 mins. finally got them out. I figured out a work around. Get AAAA batteries (they’re skinnier than AAA batteries).

Pull the coils on the ends of each battery contact in the compartment. You can use AAAA batteries – it will work. But we shouldn’t have to do this. I prefer using regular brand AAA batteries. But you can’t.

This thing wouldn’t die it wasn’t working quite right but it had served a long life & we needed to replace it. I THINK my original one was going on 5 or 6 years old. We used it daily, as a kitchen scale, for our small in home business, for business & personal mailings small & LARGE.

We didn’t over use & abuse it but it did it’s fare share of hard work. 🙂 I went ahead & spent the $3 for the 3 yr warranty because I value this company & didn’t mind spending $3 on the off chance I got a dud.

I bought this for use as a kitchen scale, mainly for making homemade pet food. It works as I’d hoped with the one caveat that when you get into single digits for grams it gets a little dodgy. With a little patience it measured to 6 grams but I couldn’t get it to register anything less than that, which, for a postal scale seems a little odd.

Still, this is a great scale for the price. As a kitchen scale for cooking, it is awesome. Haven’t used it for any other measuring yet.

Make sure to test the weighing scale first before using. I weigh 4 shiny pennies to see if the scale will show 10 g before I use it for weighing packages that I need to ship out via USPS. The weight from this scale is 100% the same as when they weigh it at the USPS by our place.

I missed doing the “penny test” a couple of times and the weight of the packages I dropped off at USPS were off by a couple of ounces. I changed the batteries and it worked perfectly again and I haven’t had any issues since.

I researched several meters before getting this one. It was because of all the great reviews that I decided to try it. And the reviews were right. this is an awesome meter. It is a fraction of the price of meters that have far lower weight rating.

I’m using it to weigh products for my website and it is so easy I can’t believe it. The price was right, the weight rating (55 lbs. max) was right. Very simple to set up and use. Just took me 5 minutes and I was off and running.

Definitely recommend this item.

This scale is easy to put together and use however the instructions that came with it are not great. I wanted to read about the hold feature but there was nothing in the included instructions. There was also no website provided for assistance so I had to go to the web to find more info.

Also, it refers to a calibration weight that needs to be used when recalibrating the machine but note that the weight is not included. If you are looking for a cheaper item and ease of use this is fine but they need to do a better job with their reference materials.

I have been selling & buying on ebay since 2002 and have been debating about purchasing a postage scale for my sales. I have a ounce scale dated 1957 and finally decided it was time to make the move to a REAL scale.

I wanted one to use in my home, with simple look and design and not be over bearing and taking a lot of horizontal space that I do not have enough of. I also like the features of using Battery or a Plug in.

Then I found this one and it has worked out perfect. It had nice reviews and the design has no sharp edges. A Sleek design. Comfortable to use. Not heavyweight yet sturdy on a table top. Perfect home compact size and at this time I store it in its original box and it does all the tasks I need for my sales.

Easy to take on the move also. The additional Plug & wire comes in a separate small box from the scale. I highly recommend this scale to everyone. My Brother decided now to purchase one after he saw mine and tried it out.

Excellent product. Worked right out of the box. Appears to be extremely accurate – I weighed several boxes at post office and this scale indicated the exact same weight for all of them, which ranged from under one pound to over 15 pounds.

Small footprint but robust capacity. I particularly like the “Lock” function which keeps the weight display for a few seconds after the package is removed from the scale. I also like that the sensitivity is 0.

1 ounce, even though the advertised product indicated 0. 2 ounce sensitivity. Always great to get more than you thought you would get.

I got this scale to weigh my items that are under 35 pounds. The price was amazing and this scale does all I need for my shipping. It comes with an ac adaptor but can also run off a 9 volt battery, which is great if you need to move it around for more space.

It also will weight in grams although I don’t need that feature. If you need a scale for items under 35 pounds you can not beat this scale.

I am so impressed with how long the charge lasts on this scale. I charged it up as soon as received 2-1/2 months ago and its still going on that first charge! It is accurate, easy to read, and easy to use.

I like that it has a hold feature, however some boxes are too large to weigh without covering up the display which makes it difficult to take advantage of this feature, hence the 4 star rating for ease of use.

I would like to see a small design change that allowslarger packages to be set on the scale without completely hiding the display. Perhaps the display could be moved to a vertical position in the front under the actual scale.

Needed a shipping scale for ebay sales. My weighs seemed off so I put the scale on the floor and stood on it. Normally I weigh 180 to 190, the scale said I weighed 112! Tried and tried and said I weighed 112.

Nice diet scale. There are instructions written in poor English stating how to calibrate it and the process did nothing. Set up a return and thought I would try it one more time before shipping it, I now weighed 142.

Excellent scale, very precise, easy to use and I love the larger screen and size of the numbers lit up on the screen showing the weights. I would highly recommend this scale to anyone needing this item.

Not a good product. It only worked one time for me, I spent a good amount of time trying to get it to work again but to no avail. Instructions while decent, arent exactly accurate. I tried to calibrate as per the instructions and the steps were not matching with the scales functions.

Also, when I did have it working when I first turned it on I immediately compared it to another commercial grade scale and this one seemed to tack on 4 additional ounces of weight. Overall not a great product.

We needed a basic, 25 lb. -capacity scale for shipping and mailing from our home-based business; this one fits our needs and was available for 1-hour pickup at our local store. The scale was very easy to set up, although – be forewarned – we found we needed an AC adapter to proceed.

There is no AC adapter included in the package and installing the batteries *did*not* provide the power needed to turn the device on. Luckily, I keep all my old cords and cables and found one that fit.

Once we plugged in the AC adapter, the unit powered on as described in the enclosed user instruction booklet. We would definitely get more value out of this if we were PC users (we are Mac users), as the scale can integrate with Windows 7+ OS (according to the user instruction booklet) and Stamps.

I got this scale for $17. 50 delivered, which was a good deal. But a couple things are irritating about it: there are few conversion modes to different units. IIRC, it goes grams, Kg (which is just a decimal point shift), ounces and then pounds & ounces.

I would’ve liked to seen at least decimal pounds also (on large objects, I want to see something like 77. 69 lbs, not 77 lbs 11. 3 oz)- which is not hard to program. Also the remote display unit is on a stiff, coiled cord (telephone handset type with the mini RJ connectors- not rj11!?) and does not go to eye-height when the scale is on the floor.

The display unit is where all the electronics are (except for the strain gauges) and is powered by 4 AAA batteries (inc). Included also is a wall-transformer whose cord has a USB-A on one end and a (3.

0mm?) headphone-type jack on the display side. weird. Why not USB all the way- they have got to be a cheaper and more convenient cord. I use battery power anyway. The blue back-lit reverse-LCD display is large and easy to read in low light levels (and indoor lighting) and moderate angles.

In direct sunshine, you can make out the lighter numbers against a black background- barely. It takes a weirdly long 5-8 seconds of startup before it’s ready for use; and a weirdly long 3+ minutes of non-use to auto power-off (which I like better than some electronic scales shutting off after 20 seconds of non-use) The “hold” function is strange: if you have the “hold” on, when you transition to another unit of measure- the hold releases.

hmmm. I would be concerned putting more than 30Kg 66lbs on this thing (capacity is 50Kg 110lbs) without distributing the weight evenly and steadily. The plastic base feels semi-robust, but still. if you have this on the shipping room floor and a clerk that’s dropping 75lb boxes on it all day- I wouldn’t expect it to last more than a day or two.

I use it maybe 3x’s a month (at 4-6 measurements each time) so it’s no problem for me. I have 5 electronic scales- milligrams to this thing. the all are seemingly accurate and repeatable (maybe a bit temperature sensitive).

This is my highest capacity unit. I give it a grade of B- on ergos and performance; a B+ on value. Now, if I can find a cheap, accurate 500Kg scale my collection would be complete. good luck.

When shopping online for Shipping scales i found it hard to find a reasonable priced scale that had an extended display. Now their are a LOT out there that are cheap! However you can tell that they are cheaply made and that there is a reason for the cheap price.

When i found this one thought that i had to be cheaply made due to the price but thought it was worth a try as the price was reasonable for my price range (just starting a new business. ) When it arrived int he mail I had two surprises tho.

1. it was smaller then i had in my mind (i’m sure that it said the size but i did not see it) but with the extendable display the size of the weighing unit doesn’t really matter. 2. It was a higher quality of scale then i was thinking it would be.

Although it is not a heavy duty scale it is more then what i need for shipping small items. Scale holds up well and having the battery operation feature is really nice also!!.

I recently purchased this little scale and have grown to love it. It is accurate, portable, small and easy to read. I sell a wide variety of items on EBAY and many times have to ship items by USPS. Until I received my personal Postal Scale I was required to just guess the shipping weight of many items.

Now I can get a very accurate weight. This scale is battery operated. Never requiring it be near a AC Outlet just to operate. YES, I would highly recommend this scale to anyone needing an accurate, battery operated, PORTABLE Postal Scale in their business.

After trying 4 times to order a postal scale from Walmart and order was canceled 4 times, I finally found one that Walmart would ship. Pros: Easy to set up, easy to understand, can either use plug in cord or batteries Cons: Arrived in an envelope instead of a box – envelope was not marked fragile so was lucky that nothing happened to it; plug in cord needed an adapter to plug in — end of cord was for plugging into USB port but luckily I had adapter from my phone that worked; no where on description did this say refurbished but I believe this one is; compared weights on this scale to kitchen scale (which I know is correct) and weight is under 1/2 pound – no where in instructions does it say how to calibrate; if you are interested in this model, pay attention to size of scale – it is small.

Bottom line – would I buy this again — NO!! Think twice before you consider buying this model.

This review applies only to powering the scale with 4 AAA batteries. I just tried to replace the pre-installed batteries with Duracell AAA’s. Unlike the pre-installed batteries, the Duracells **do NOT easily** fit into the wired remote! Although I don’t recommend doing this (I might’ve gotten lucky; the wired remote didn’t crack), I forced the Duracells in, but then the wired remote would NOT come on.

Afterwards, I plugged in the USB cable, and the remote came on just fine. The pre-installed batteries were not a brand I recognized, but they must’ve been slightly smaller in diameter than the Duracells.

I just hope I never have to rely on battery power! Given this problem, I would not recommend this product.
