20 Best Rub For Frying A Turkey (2023 Updated)

Purchased it in 2014. The other day, Christmas Eve 2020 I found it going thru my spices. Both packets were still sealed. There was no weird smell of the ingredients so I decided to try it. Brined the turkey overnight.

It turned out great!!!! Was I taking a chance? Of course but I had to try it, besides we had a ham too.

I cannot recommend this product enough. We used it last Thanksgiving for the first time and I later regretted not buying two kits so I’d have one for Christmas not to mention my husband (who is not a lover of turkey) kept raving it was the best turkey he has ever had! He said if turkey had tasted like this he would have been eating it at the holidays.

Not only does this kit produce the moistest and most tasty turkey, but it also comes with everything you need – especially the bag, which when purchased separately can easily cost $4 and up. I’m so glad Walmart is carrying this special item!.

I got this on the recommendation of a friend and realized afterwards it was not the correct one. Glad I made the mistake! It is just right for most anything but we love it on pork. Just the right blend of sweet and tangy without being overly sweet or spicy.

This is my “Go To” rub for anything pork or anything I want a little sweetness too. It’s the best!

I used it on a chicken I cooked on my rotisserie. First I basted the bird with melted butter, then sprinkled this seasoning on it. I repeated a few times during cooking. It was great!

I read several different articles on how to season your griddle, but I knew I couldn’t go wrong with the seasoning and conditioner that Blackstone put out for their grills. They know the grills better than anyone! It was easy to do and I repeated the steps for a total of 5 times to make sure it would perform as the directions said it would.

No disappointing there. the smash burger was the first thing we cooked on the griddle and they came out so good, we cooked them again the next day. If you want the griddle to work it’s best, use the Blackstone griddle seasoning and conditioner.

You will be glad you did the right way the first time!.

Its seasoning for griddle tops. It is the most crucial thing to buy for griddle before you start cooking. Just follow application instructions on blackstone youtube channel. I applied 5 times to get a perfect non-stick surface.

Takes the guess work out of using other oils and concoctions.

I previously bought the smaller size, and it didn’t last. I’ve used it on chicken and pork, and it is awesome! This time, we bought the BIG shaker.

I used rub on brisket & shortribs, got flavor I wanted. I buy my cooking spices from Waltons.

The Spellbound rub is one of our favorites. A little spice, a little sweet. Fantastic on pork shoulder. As good as the rub is, I am more impressed with the fact that I receive a handwritten “thank you note” and samples for other style rubs each time I order.

I really appreciate that personal touch in this day and age of “anonymous ” internet commerce. I’d encourage you to try any of their products, as everything I’ve tried has been excellent.

Love this new rub from Cattleman’s Grill. I’ve been looking at this product for a while after seeing Chef Tom use it in various recipes on The Sauce. Can’t be any happier to have finally purchased a bottle for myself.

So far I’ve used it on chicken, veggies, and some rockfish. The chicken and the rockfish were both cooked on the Yoder and turned out to be super flavorful. The freshness of the rub is what really sticks out with this one.

The ingredients seem to be far more fresh than your standard rub, which is why I’ll keep coming back to this rub. Crazy as it sounds though, I love this rub most on veggies. Just packs intense flavor when combined with the veggies.

But definitely looking forward to using this on my Thanksgiving bird next year. Well done Cattleman’s Grill.

This is an amazing rub. I have only used it on chicken and turkey so far. I originally set out to use the sweewater holiday brine and then season with the ranchero rub. My wife accidentally misplaced the Brine bag, so I instead dry brined and then added this rub.

The best part of this rub is that it is not heavy on salt which worked perfect with a dry brine. The guest said this was the BEST Thanksgiving turkey they have ever had. Do yourself a favor and add this rub to your collection.

I have to say, pre-made rubs and sauces are not usually my thing, however, as I Q and cook a lot I realized making your own can cost a small fortune. That is why I decided to try the rubs from Cattleman’s Grill, and the Sweetwater Spice marinades and injections.

I must say, they are both top notch products. Chef Tom’s recommendations can be trusted as his collaboration with CG on Ranchero seasoning is beautiful. ATBBQ Strikes again with great recommendations, great products, and now, great collaborations.

I used this rub on my thanksgiving turkey since I got it with my PBC, shortly before thanksgiving. I used this plus a cajun injection and the turkey turned out amazingly. Great taste, I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who is going to smoke a chicken or turkey.

Used this on my baby back ribs, and cut it with some brown sugar. Everything smelled and tasted so robust and rich! A little bit of this goes a long way, so it’ll last too!

I actually sold PC once (quite funny to most friends and family considering my lack of culinary aptitude). I acquired a lot of handy gadgets, awesome Cookware and stones, though- as well as the spices and rubs.

My boys won’t tolerate my attempts at grilling (can’t blame them), so I generally bake and/or pan-sear and bake meats, The Southwest mix was usually my go-to (spicing up taco meat, dips, et. ) Recently- halfway through baking thick boneless porch chops- I ran out of that one certain sauce they love and panicked.

Praise God, I remembered my PC BBQ mix and proceeded to whip up the simple, tasty sauce and serve my hungry guys what they proclaimed “the beat pork chops you’ve ever made. ” (Tear) One of my proudest moments.

This has been sitting in our cabinet for months now. I finally tried it out on a slab of baby back ribs that I dry rubbed and smoked on a Kettle. I love this rub. A kick and some sweetness. I love the ingredient profile.

Top rub all rounder. Great for a seared tomahawk or a slow smoked brisket. Pairs very with beef but no issues using it on chicken if you just want something last minute for a roast chicken either. Kitchen staple when BBQ’ing.

One of my most favorite cabernets! It’s so reasonably priced and it’s a deliciously full bodied and flavorful wine. Dark and spicy, it’s a cabernet that I can slowly sip and enjoy with most any meal.

Love, this rub. I did beer can chicken with it, and it turned out so good. My family usually does not care for chicken much, especially my kids, unless you count chicken nuggets. My kids liked it so much they request that I make chicken with this regularly.

I have tried some of Kosmos Q other rubs and sauces, and all of them have been better than anything I have ever bought or made.

Having recently purchased a pit barrel smoker, I’ve been looking for a suitable rub for those chicken/rib long smokes. Using YouTube as my research, this particular rub appeared more and more often, especially in conjunction with the phrase “competition standard”.

Sounded the ideal thing to me. Having tried the rub, it’s the real deal. You don’t need to look any further. You’ve found what you are looking for. Smoky, sweet and plenty of depth. Really brings out the best in the meat.

Sweet and a little spice. You definitely get the honey notes coming through. You don’t “feel” the heat. After you eat for a bit, you get a slight tingly sensation on lips and back of throat. I love it on chicken, but plan to try some on ribs as well.

Watch your heat because the sugars will blacken. I have used on grill (indirect) and in smoker. Will definitely be picking up more.

I was never more than a salt and pepper person, when it came to steak. This rub has it all when it comes to flavor. The garlic and buttery flavor is really good. Steaks, burgers, chicken this rub is delicious and versatile.

This rub is really good on hamburgers. Very different from most seasonings for beef, but a really nice flavor

Its peppery and very salty ,with an average taste ,nothing special. It came highly reccomended from various online sources and pro bbqers ,it wasnt bad ,it was just average at best. I tried it on a tri-tip and burgers and it was just average tasting.
