I don’t have any joint or bone issues, but my hands are easily hurt by handles that aren’t extra smooth. These handles are perfect. The edges of the pan are perfect also, allowing for pouring without any spills or dripping.
It is kept in a visible place in an open pantry, so it’s beauty is important to me. It actually looks classy. This review is being written after using it constantly for 8 months & it looks brand new.
(I hand wash since it only had tea in it, but some teas are vivid red or very dark brown, yet there are never any stains no matter how long the teas are left in the pan.

This pan is great for a small family. We used it to make Christmas Dinner. We roasted a 10 lb Ham in it. It was a little small, we did make it work using tin foil, but we were unable to put the lid on it.
We’ll use it on smaller roasts next time. It did work great though. Clean up was way easy. Soaked it in dish soap for about 10 mins, then wiped it clean.

I love the feel and look of the Le Creuset roaster, it oozes quality. I followed the guidance on how to prepare the roaster before first use. I then cooked weeping lamb and it was perfect. I have only had the roaster for just over a week but from first impressions I’m very pleased.
Have had the opportunity to use this pan twice: Once to roast a chicken (6-7 lb) with vegetables (fit perfectly) and once to just roast vegetables. Both times the food came out delicious and what little sticking did occur, cleaned up so easily.
Haven’t used the rack yet (which is thick and sturdy — not thin and flimsy) but am glad to have it, and have no concerns about it being detrimental to my review. This pan is well made, durable, and feels solid in my hands.
Can get a good grip on it when lifting it in and out of the oven. Heats evenly and the bottom is flat so if you need to use it on the stove top to make gravy, it won’t shift around. I wouldn’t consider this pan heavy but it isn’t light either.
Since this is the smaller roaster, it might not hold more than a 10 lb turkey. I only cook for 2 most times so this roaster is perfect but, you could also cook a meal for 4 or 5 as well. I can see one using this pan for lasagne or other casseroles also, when you have a crowd.
Am happy with my purchase and should have broken down and bought one of these long ago.
This Le Creuset small roaster lives up to my (high) expectations. It has both the looks and performance. It has very elegant design, with polished interior and exterior. Tri-ply construction gives it a nice heft.
I have used it to roast a five pound chicken and made gravy afterwards on stove. It did a beautiful job. Note it is pretty much flat bottomed. High quality rack is true non-stick. This roaster is a great size for frequent uses.
The actual size without counting the pouring lip is 0. 75″ less than stated measurements each way. Though the product is made in China, it is in no way inferior. The metal is silky smooth, no rough edge/spot anywhere.

Purchased this pan to roast a turkey for Thanksgiving. It’s non-stick and comes with a stainless steel curved rack which has handles for easy removal. I only roasted a 10 lb. turkey in it but you could easily fit a 15 lb.
and maybe even a 20 lb. turkey in this pan. Anything bigger and you’ll need a larger roasting pan. You could also easily place two chickens side by side to roast simultaneously. The clean up was very easy.
I hand washed and dried the pan and let the rack sit in hot sudsy water for 15 mins to soften up the stuck on food. The stuck on food was easy to remove and my roaster and rack looked like new again.
This is a good quality pan. I didn’t have any problems with it warping at all and it’s nearly 3. 75 inches deep so you could roast/bake a variety of meals in it. I’m very happy with this purchase.
Awesome Pan! It is non-stick as long as you treat it with olive oil each time you use it. especially the metal rack for easy clean up later! I’ve learned from experience try not to use super hot water or soak these pans for over a few minutes, the coating comes off! A few sprays or drops of olive oil works wonders on all my non stick cookware!.

My heirs had better fight over it. As others have said, the large just fits in my Wolf wall oven, so measure before you purchase. I can’t imagine anyone needing the XL. I’ve cooked turkeys and roasts in it and they came out perfect.
I then used it to easily carry the remainders of big fixings and slide it all in the refrigerator. The handles alone are amazing and just the quality feel has allowed me to have no regrets. There’s almost no cleaning at all, which must be the high-grade stainless steel.
Just some hot water sitting in it and then the dishwasher, no scraping or scrubbing – so much better than my enamel or cheaper pans.
So very disappointed in BBB for sending me this used pan. I was excited to receive my new All-Clad Large Stainless Steel Roaster with Rack which arrived today. Upon opening the shipping box, The All-Clad box was taped closed on two sides (should have given me a clue) and not sealed properly.
The box was shop worn and dented. I opened the box, which was packed as if someone had thrown it together. The rack and pan were in plastic bags. I pulled them out, examined the pan which was covered in swirls, scrapes and vertical knife marks inside.
It was cleaned with a scouring pad and returned. The bottom of the pan has scrapes and marks all around the edges that one would see with used pans from pulling them in and out of the oven. Nothing shiny and new about this pan.
It was clearly a used and returned and resold to me as new. I’m returning it tomorrow. Very deceptive. I expected more from BBB.
I just LOVE this Steel Roaster. I was concerned at first that it might not hold my 22lb turkey, but I used it today and it worked out beautifully!. The rack does not have pointed “feet” that dig into the pan, as so many others do, so there were no scratches or dings from our monstrous bird.
There was no warping during the 4-hour cooking time. The pan went from oven to stovetop for the gravy preparation, and although this is a long rectangular pan, the heat distribution from my small 8inch electric burner was super.
There was no scorching of the gravy in the section of the roaster that sat directly on the burner. There are only 2 things that did not hit a 5-star rating. First, the weight. Empty, the roaster weighs over 9 pounds.
I expected it would be heavy, but had not counted on that much weight. Add that to the 22 pound bird, and the whole thing weighed in over 32 pounds! It is a good thing my husband is strong -these old bones would have had a lot of trouble trying to lift it.
Second, the bottom of the pan is not level. There are wells all the way around the sides, leaving the center a bit raised. Luckily I make a ton of gravy, so the level of liquid was well above the center of the pan.
If I had wanted to make just a small portion, I would have had to move all that goodness into a smaller pan for the gravy prep. Neither of these is a deal breaker. I’d give them a 4. 75 out of 5 star rating.
just a matter of slight inconvenience. I had intended to spray the inside of the roaster before cooking the bird to make clean-up a bit easier, but I forgot to do that. Didn’t matter. Cleanup was an absolute breeze! Even though the roaster is too big to fit into my sink, the sides are high enough that I basically used it as a wash basin and easily cleaned it without splashing water everywhere.
I am very picky. It is rare that I write a glowing review of any product. This roaster is an absolute joy! I am so glad I did not opt for a less expensive pan. This is well worth the price, and I even got it on sale which made it that much better! I would definitely and whole-heartedly recommend this roaster to everyone looking for a sturdy, reliable, large roaster.

I purchased the large Rachel Ray roasting pan for Thanksgiving. It fits my large turkeys and I had hoped to have it for several years. I have only used it 3 times. HOWEVER, I would not recommend this pan to anyone as the coating on the bottom inside of pan is coming off where the rack feet sit.
As well when washed with just soap, water and a j-cloth even more of the finish has come off. Not a good quality pan at all.
this roaster is so useful. Its the perfect size for a large lasagna or a big batch of enchiladas. the reversible rack is super cool for fitting larger cuts of veggies, under any proteins you are roasting so the delicious pan drippings flavor the veggies below.
the rack helps your proteins sit higher in the pan so they get crisper all around. The pan is also made so you can use it on the stovetop to make a pan gravy after! super versatile. you can also use the rack the other direction to stabilize bell peppers when making stuffed bell peppers.
I only used it a few times but I like it so far. It’s reasonably priced, non-stick with two rack levels. I don’t put any non-stick in the dishwasher even though the manufacturers say you can. It cleans up very easily in the sink.

It warped on the first use even though we were very careful with temperatures and let it cool completely. It also stained on the first use with grease that will never come off. It won’t last long and will be that pan you line with unhealthy aluminum just to cover the bottom that will continue to get worse and worse.

The old inexpensive non-stick pan I purchased earlier went into the trash because the surface on the bottom of the pan started peeling off. We no longer wanted to eat teflon chips, or whatever they were.
I bought this pan because Calphalon, in my mind, represents quality. And, when quality counts, you buy quality. It did not disappoint. The pan itself is sturdy and the tall handles make it easy to get a turkey in and out of the oven.
The roasting rack is shaped just right to hold a turkey in place if you don’t want to roast it right in the pan drippings. It was easy to clean up. My only complaint is that I wish it was a little bigger.
Its supposed to hold up to a 20 pound bird and it does. I like to roast a bigger bird that that when I can find one. It may accommodate 3 or 4 extra pounds but I’m not sure it would hold much more than that.
I researched new cookware for over a year since it’s an expensive purchase for me. My last cookware was purchased as a bridal shower gift 35 years ago and wasn’t really what I would have chosen for myself.
So in October 2014 I bought the 11 pc set for myself as a birthday present. At first I was in love with the set, easy to clean, cooks quickly & evenly, and looks great. However, after using the stockpot for the 3rd time I noticed black flecks floating in my chicken stock.
As I washed the pot, I saw several areas on the bottom and lower sides that started to bubble, flake and pit. I was really ticked off since I’ve babied this cookware, followed all manufacturer suggestions, using all non-metal utensils and hand washing them.
I took photos and uploaded them to Calphalon. com stating the pot’s finish was defective. They responded by email a week later stating I would be responsible for the shipping cost to return them for “evaluation” to determine if it was due to defects, workmanship or owner misuse.
Not too happy about that clause but I’ll be sending this pot out and hope Calphalon will honor their lifetime warranty.

We were so happy to find a STAINLESS STEEL baking/roasting pan. We asked the sales clerk if there was any problem with the pan warping before making the purchase. We used the pan once and it WARPED big time while in the oven.
The contents just ran together. The other reviews on here are old, so perhaps the pan is now a different quality. The restaurant supply store where we purchased it advised once then the item is used it cannot be returned.
Attempts to contact the manufacturer were not successful.
The sides are flared to allow air circulation under the roast with a V-rack. The bottom is flat to allow pan gravy on the stovetop. The weight is substantial, but not heavy. Only downside is that the pan is not magnetic, but at this price – no complaints.

I wanted stainless steel pans to replace the aluminum and non-stick ones. At first, I was unimpressed with them. However, I’ve been using mine for everything from seasoning food, draining container, meat prep, and of course, cooking.

We have an induction hob that allows you to extend the cooking area. The grill pan seemed ideal as it would sit across the hob and be perfect when cooking large amounts of burgers, sausages, etc. for the family.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t work like that. Due to the design under the grill pan, only the centre gets heated which means the food at each end gets heat transferred from the centre only and you have to keep moving it around.
I was initially very pleased with this pan. It’s a decent size and not overly heavy however it has a relatively small circular base so doesn’t heat evenly with the sides/edges heating poorly. I was hoping that buying a more expensive pan from a quality manufacturer would result in a pan with some longevity.
Unfortunately, after about 18 months of occasional use on an induction hob (avg 3-4 times a month) the pan has now warped significantly and so it rocks on the hob. This means that base isn’t in full contact with the hob, making the heating issues more pronounced.
A griddle pan should be able to withstand high temperatures but this pan cannot.
Love this roaster. Cooks evenly and you can transfer to cook-top to finish your gravy. Kind of like a one pot over baker. Handles are high so it does take up more oven space but fits everything in the pan so you don’t really need a sperate tray above.
