I chose these ride height adjustable shocks to give new life to the Titan, and boy, did they! She sits within 1/2″ of being level and rides and handles much better. Speed bumps used to bottom out the front suspension and now I can fly over them like you should be able to with a truck.
Took me about 4 hours to swap and keep the original springs and have never performed this work before, but I do have general automotive knowledge and experience.
These shocks are awesome. I put in a dual exhaust so it was a little tricky getting them in. But all-in-all, it wasn’t hard to do at all. The difference is night and day. Really smooth ride. Next purchase will be for the front shocks.

I knew these were gonna be great shocks for my 2008 QX56, and they do a great job of smoothing/firming the ride. But the customer service was out of this world! I had ordered these from another retailer but they were back-ordered and the retailer failed to notify me.
When I called Summit, the rep was friendly and willing to make sure they were in stock before processing my order. She called back a couple of hours later to let me know they were, and they were promptly shipped.
Have used Bilsteins for years and was disappointed with some adjustable shocks for our Nissan recently. ” Bilstein Lifts” had best price and remarkable customer customer service. They have been diligent and worked very quickly to get appropriate struts for our Armada.
Bilstein’s technically superior, patented monotube gas charged design allows the excessive heat from the oil to transfer to the outer surface of the shock body and dissipate more efficiently. The dividing piston also permits the oil to expand as heat builds, preventing aeration foaming and viscosity loss.
This allows the shock to maintain full damping characteristics as temperatures rise. The tube of a bilstein gas pressure shock absorber is fabricated using a special extrusion method. This process achieves an extremely tight peak-to-valley tolerance and maintains consistent wall thickness.
Bilstein’s seamless monotube design provides superior tube strength while maximizing heat dissipation and shock life. The piston head design allows independent tuning of the compression and rebound damping forces to provide optimum ride comfort and performance without compromise.
It features fewer parts than most conventional twin tube and so called road sensing shock designs. This simple, yet exceptionally functional digressive design contributes to the extreme durability and long life of bilstein shock absorbers.
Bilstein B8 5100 (Ride Height Adjustable) shock absorbers are designed for trucks and SUVs with a front OE coilover style suspension. Multiple snap-ring grooves in the body allow for different spring seat positions, providing 0-3 inches of front lift with OE springs (depending on application).

Since I bought my 2011 Nissan Titan, there have been a few very, but very obvious design flaws. Compared to my previous Dodge Ram, the Nissan rides like a tank, and not in a good way. Finally, I took the plunge and tried the adjustable 5100’s, and WOW, what a difference.
First the truck is level which is a huge improvement. The second being the ride which is not even a comparison. With the Bilstein package the truck is comfortable and fun to drive. Take note Nissan.

The firmness adjustment is too low and hard to reach when mounted in the front inside the coil springs on a 2005 RAM 2500. Even attempting to change setting using a needle nosed Pliers I could not get a grip on the adjustment knob the pliers slip off.
In contacting two automotive shops to ask them for suggestions, they told me to purchase bilsteins. Of course the Ranchos helped the ride of my truck. The Old Ranchos that were replaced, the lower plastic bushings were falling apart and the shocks were loose.

Best Replacement Shocks For Nissan Titan Buying Guides
Nissan titan shocks overview
Nissan titan shocks are an important part of the suspension system. They are responsible for absorbing the impact of the road and keeping the tires in contact with the ground. Over time, shocks can wear out and need to be replaced.
When shopping for replacement shocks, it is important to choose ones that are specifically designed for the Nissan titan. Otherwise, they may not fit properly or work as effectively.
Why replace your shocks?
If your Nissan Titan’s shocks are worn out, they will no longer be able to effectively dampen the suspension, leading to a rougher ride. Additionally, worn shocks can lead to premature tire wear and decreased handling performance.
What are the benefits of replacement shocks?
The main benefits of replacing shock absorbers are to improve ride quality, handling, and braking. Shocks play a vital role in the vehicle’s suspension system by absorbing and dissipating the energy from bumps and potholes in the road.
Over time, shocks wear out and lose their ability to effectively do their job. This can lead to a rougher ride, increased body roll, and longer braking distances. Replacing shocks can restore a vehicle’s ride quality, handling, and braking performance.
How to choose the right replacement shocks for your titan
When it comes to choosing the right shocks for your Nissan Titan, you’ll want to consider a few factors. First, think about the type of driving you do most often. If you’re mostly on city streets, you’ll want a different shock than if you’re driving off-road.
Second, consider the suspension setup of your Titan. If you have a stock suspension, you’ll want to choose a shock that’s designed for that. If you have an aftermarket suspension, you’ll want to choose a shock that’s compatible with that.
Finally, consider your budget. Shocks can range in price from a few hundred dollars to over a thousand, so you’ll want to choose one that’s within your price range.
Installation tips for replacement shocks
When it comes to replacing the shocks on your Nissan Titan, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, make sure that you have the correct model and year of Titan. The shocks will vary slightly between different models and years.
Second, it is important to measure the shocks before you purchase them. This will ensure that you get the correct size and that they will fit properly. Third, it is always a good idea to have a professional mechanic install the shocks for you.
This will ensure that they are installed correctly and that there are no issues.
How to care for your new shocks
If you are replacing the shocks on your Nissan Titan, you will want to make sure that you care for them properly. Here are some tips on how to do that:
1. When you first get your new shocks, check the manufacturer’s instructions to see if there are any special requirements for installation or care.
2. Before you install the shocks, clean the area around the mounting points to ensure that there is no dirt or debris that could cause problems.
3. When you install the shocks, be sure to follow the instructions carefully. If you have any questions, consult a professional.
4. Once the shocks are installed, check them periodically to make sure they are functioning properly. If you notice any problems, have them checked by a professional.
