IĆĄverstiShow in original languageI. LOVE. THIS. WINE! I love it because it’s not too sweet (for me) and not too dry. Since sweetness is relative, I’ll provide references. For my palate, “too sweet” would be a Moscato, sweet Riesling, or muscadine wine.
Too dry would be a Cab, Merlot or Pinot Noir. This Sweet Shiraz is a very good in-between and has a medium body feel–it’s just right. I’m not sure of the “official” flavor profile, but if smoky blackberries were a thing, that’s how I would describe it.
It’s perfect for everyday–anything from steak, burgers, pasta or charcuterie. I’d place it in the same class as a Sweet Red, Red Blend or Sweet Red Roo but better.
IĆĄverstiShow in original languageMy boyfriend came to visit my parents for the first time. He got them this wine. Mom is person who favors Sangria wines or anything that has just enough sweetness but not too sweet.
SHE LOVES THIS WINE. To the point she was calling our local Target telling them she wasnts them to sell her this wine. Or send it to our local store since the store that has it is far away. Unfortunately, they can’t do that, but she really loves it.
I tasted it only once, she finished the bottle haha. It’s good, it really is the right amount.
IĆĄverstiShow in original languageHard to believe this is not fortified. Nonetheless, not for a classy night or even an amateur night if you are a true wine drinker. But if you are a non-wine drinker, ignorant and uneducated in the field, this is for you.
Think fruit punch! A lot like a kids’ drink but for grown-ups that don’t want to really grow up, just want to pretend. I like it instead of a cupcake or lollypop. đ If you know what you’re in for, you’ll appreciate it.
5 stars because I like Jolly Ranchers. It is what it is and it has a niche. But have to agree with #NOTwine.
10. Gatonegro Cabernet Sauvignon (Vintage Varies) – 750 ml bottle
Product Details
This wine is from Chile, Valle Central region. This wine is obtained from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in San Pedros vineyards at the Central Valley. When the grapes reach the cellar they are cold macerated (11C) for 2 to 3 days and then starts the fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures below 28 C.
There are pump-overs 3 times/day in order to obtain a wine with a good colour that keeps the full fruity quality of the grape. Before the alcoholic fermentation is finished, the wine is separated in order to finish the fermentation without any skins.
Later, the wine is clarified and cold stabilized to avoid unpleasant sediment in the bottle. After sterile filtration, it is bottled, preserving its full structure and intensity. Its colour is an intense red with violet tints.
Its aroma fresh ripe fruit aromas, such as blackberries and black currant. This is a generous, open wine. On the palate it is an easy drinking wine with gentle tannins. Its attack is full of fruit with a pleasant finish.

IĆĄverstiShow in original languageWe had this at a fancy restaurant in Tucson a few weeks ago. I’m not familiar with the producer at all. I’ve since been to my local TW store and bought 4 bottles of the 2019 vintage.
Absolutely outstanding value for this cabernet. I consider this a “great” find – – I’ll be buying more.
IĆĄverstiShow in original languageMerlot can be either very fruity and light or bold and dry; but somehow Oberon has managed to create the perfect middle of that scale. The 2016 vintage in my honest opinion tastes like chocolate covered blueberries.
The wine starts with fresh dark chocolate note with a hint of tartness that quickly overturns into medium sweet berry fruity-ness that switches right back in to a oaky vanilla finish that leaves a lingering cocoa notes that need to be satiated with a follow up sip.
Overall it tastes pretty amazing. Get it while it lasts. Cheers.

Ideally drink now through 2027. Decant 1 hour prior to drinking A blend of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel with Petite Syrah thrown into the mix as well, the Paraduxx Proprietary Red Blend is a dark ruby colored wine that opens with a vibrant red cherry and plum nose, with hints of vanilla spice.
The palate shows smooth, velvety notes of pomegranate, spicecake, and blackberry jam with a medium body. A long and balanced finish with fine grained ripe tannins hints at black pepper and cinnamon. A wine with excellent juicy acidity, the Paraduxx Proprietary Red Blend would match well with Asian inspired hoisin or plum sauces on duck, harder aged cheese like cheddar or Manchego, or even baby back ribs, Osso Bucco, or Paella.
With a wine of personality such as this, the possibilities are almost endless! Grown and vinified by the Duckhorn family of vintners in the Napa Valley, this particular wine is an incredibly complex project, with the winemaker using as many as 60 individual fermentations of various plots in differing blends for a single vintage.
This is combined with an oak regimen of 18 months of aging in new and one-year-old French and American barrels to add additional layers to the wine. Uniquely for Napa Valley it is also a mix of two grapes not normally combined together, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel, however that uniqueness has proven to be popular, and the Paraduxx Proprietary Red Blend is now their flagship wine.
