I purchased this Broyhill Kids Marco Island Twin Captain’s Bed with Trundle and Drawers for my grandkids. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice quality of the wood and its finish. The assembly was fairly straightforward and was accomplished within an hour or so.
We have a good pillowtop innerspring mattress on top and an eight-inch hybrid mattress in the trundle. We were able to push the trundle in with a comforter on it and it is a tight but manageable fit.
The drawers underneath provide extra storage and are a great feature. The kids love their new beds and it leaves them plenty of floor space for playing. It is important to make sure that everything is squared up when assembling it so that the trundle stays straight when pushed in.
So far we are happy with this purchase and feel that as sturdy as it is we will get many years out of it.

It was so difficult to find a double bed with a trundle underneath. We had a minor shipping problem and wayfair immediately corrected it, sending me a full New order without issues. Bed was easy to assemble and is great quality.
My only problem is that the trundle is difficult to get out with our medium pile carpet. We had to place little blocks/risers so the bed was slightly higher and not pressing on the trundle. It would work perfect on low pile or wooden floors though.
Here’s what’s good about it- sturdy, nice antique walnut stained wood. Modern looking and long enough for an adult. What was bad: no explanation on attaching metal bed hook on side rails to “slot” in legs and headboard slots were TOO NARROW we had to file it wider to fit.
Without tearing the veneer – difficult. No predrilled holes for the slats. No wood buttons and only one wood dowel. But it looks attractive finally assembled. And solid.

Shipping was extremely fast. I was surprised to find that the drawers just sit on the floor under the bed. They are not attached to a anything nor are they enclosed at the top so dust, crumbs, etc can fall right thru the exposed bed slats since our full-size mattress does not fully cover the slats on all sides.
This is my first platform bed so this is not an issue that I had considered.
Got the twin bed w/ trundle. Cute style for daughters room. Nice quality. Easy to assemble; comes in 5 boxes with extra hardware. I didn’t screw down every slat on the trundle so easier to disassemble if we move (bed only has a few slats that need to be screwed in).
Hard to keep sheets tucked in on a slat bed but problem solved by tucking in comforter. Trundle rolls on carpet easily and fits 8” mattress with sheets on easily. You can roll it out on either side. My only issues are small- bed is in center of room so one side of trundle looks messy but I turned it so panel side faces door ( you can see the mattress from the other side).
Also trundle isn’t connected to the bed and theres not a ton of space to get hands in the panel to pull it out, so it gets stuck underneath if pushed in too far and not perfectly straight. It just takes a little maneuvering to pull out.

We ordered this item for a guest room. I was pleased to find that it came in white. From the beginning we had nothing but problems with this bed. It comes in 5 separate shipments. The first three arrived together.
We put those three together fairly easy but we were missing a screw and two barrel bolts. After two trips to Lowes for more parts we got what we needed. The other two boxes came 3 days later. Those two boxes where the bed slats and the drawers.
Putting the drawers together was east but again there were problems with the manufacturing of the drawe parts. Both right sides of the drawers did not line up with the other sides. Whoever attached the side support to the drawer put it totally off center so the screws would not go into the pre drilled holes.
We are taking off by like 2 inches. My husband and I had to remove these supported, re-drill the holes and re-attach the support. After we had the whole bed together we noticed a crack in the wood on the side slat of the bed.
This crack flexes and becomes more obvious when someone sits or lays in the bed. It looks like the crack in the wood was always there but someone just tried to paint over it. We are too tired to try and take it apart and send it back in its 5 boxes.
We are just hoping it holds together a few years, but that looks doubtful.
Beds works with Flex top king size sleep number bed. Don’t use the slats, remove one slat holder from inside one side of the bed frame side. Perfect fit. The sleep number installers told us it was too small.
Once they left, my husband unscrewed the one slat holder, kicked it loose from the glue, and the bed was a perfect fit. Matches our existing Maple wooden bedroom set perfectly and was a great price. We are very pleased with the quality, easy to assemble, very sturdy.

Very good quality. Out of all the beds I have purchased ( Navy Exchange, Jerome’s, n Zinus) this was the best. Even the wood where the mattress rests is very good quality and no one will ever see it.
It was easy to install. I did it mostly on my own with just very little help from my 9 yr old. The only thing wrong was a piece of wood that sits in the middle of the bed for mattress support had a little crack, but still did it’s job.

I purchased this bed in white after shopping for a bed for my now “grown up” almost 5YO toddler in local furniture stores. Besides having awful selections, their prices were way too expensive. I ordered the bed only and it arrived at my door in about a week.

I saw the daybed for a cheap price and then it went up hundreds of dollars in price the next day. When I called Wayfair, the employees were very helpful and they gave it to me at a price even lower than the price that I originally found it! Like the weight capacity of each bed. Rated 4 stars instead of 5 due to mars in the finish. Beds and staircase were easy to assemble and seem sturdy. Like the open bottom so my robotic vac may easily access this area of the floor. I bought a Whalen twin over full bunk bed set from Sam’s Club; I feel the Whalen set is a much nicer piece of furniture, especially the finish; I would have purchased Whalen twin over twin with staircase if there was one available.

This bed is incredibly squeaky, there are NO assembly instructions, used for 1yr, moved and when trying to reassemble it the screws would not assemble correctly due to wear (was used by 100lb girl). The holes do not line it.

Overall I am super happy now that it is put together. I suggest reading the instructions all the way before starting. Also, absolutely nothing is labeled so there is some guesswork. The pictures provided are not exceptional.
I suggest a drill for some of the screws. You can use a screwdriver but it is a pain and there are not set holes for everything. I was only missing 1 screw in the entire set and a small part of the back was torn but not an issue for me.
A second person is also a lot of help since it is so big. The trundle isn’t secured to the bed itself so that could be good or bad depending on you. It seems like it will be really secure and last a long time.
My queen bed is really freaking heavy/dense and it’s holding it really well.
The daybed is larger than I expected by totally in a good way. The rolled arms, tufted back, and studded accents create the diversity to compliment any room. There was a malfunction in a screw opening for one of the legs in that the insert literally fell into the body of the frame.
Being restricted by time constraints and the necessity to complete the room this piece was purchased for and not having time to return it for a replacement, my contractor made it work; however, the damaged leg is not as sturdy as the others.
When you receive new furniture you’d expect all pieces to function as intended. Hopefully, the tape and Gorilla glue will suffice not just for now but for the long haul.
I love this daybed. It looks much more expensive than it was. I ordered the blue and it’s just gorgeous! The fabric is soft and the upholstery is quite comfortable. Please do note that the boards the slats rest on are somewhat thin so this would not be a bed for children (or anyone) to jump on.
