I’m glad to share my experience with the Balder Pro Shaver. If you are even considering getting a rotary shaver for your head, get this one. I’ve already verbally recommended it to three friends. Pros: – Easy to handle – I have a medium sized hand, it’s easy to hold onto (I did read that someone dropped theirs and it broke, so i do try to keep a hold of it.

– Works in the shower – I have a mirror in the shower, I lather up my head and then run the shaver over it. Easy. I clean it with the shower head. – Very close shave – I’ve never used a straight razor, but this is pretty dang close.

I had some razor burn on my the back of my neck (is that the nape?) but now i use an after shave lotion after i get out of the shower. – Battery life is great! – last time i charged it was over two weeks ago.

I use it every two days for less than 5 minutes in the shower. There is a red light that comes on when it needs to be recharged. – Comes with a carrying bag – I love having a bag for my stuff. everything is easy to be packed into the small zippered bag, it should be easy to carry in my backpack or luggage.

It also comes with an oil dropper and brush to clean the inside of the head and upper portion of the razor. Cons: -Plastic components – As mentioned above, i read a review that said they dropped their items and it broke.

It seems sturdy enough to me, but the prongs that come out of the head and slip into the body are plastic and I’m constantly afraid of those breaking whenever i take the head off or on. which i do a lot.

You take the head off to oil it, to clean it, etc. Maybe i should just get an extra head for backup -Not sure how long the head will last – I’ve read that it should last a year. This isn’t really a con, but we’ll see how it goes.

I’ve had the product for a couple months now and use it consistently. I wouldn’t do that, or write this, if i didn’t enjoy the product. Happy Shaving!.

Overall, I’m pleased with my purchase. I never get the fast, close shaves other people talk about, not with any shaver, but with a little more time this unit does a decent job. I am consistently left with a bit of stubble I can barely feel on the back of my head but there’s nothing visible.

It’s a lot more comfortable than trying to shave my head with a regular shaver, and gets better results. It says not to but out of curiosity I tried it on my face and it worked fine, it doesn’t shave super close but it’s comfortable and leaves you perfectly presentable.

I docked one star because it takes about two or three times longer than it claims.

This shaver does NOT deliver on its promises. First, it takes four hours to fully charge. From this, you’re supposed to get 55 minutes of shaving time. In reality, you get about 10-15. (Someone else’s here mentioned they get six 3-minute shaving sessions, so that’s 18 minutes.

still nowhere near what’s advertised. ). Second, the shaving heads don’t give you a close shave, there’s always stubble. And you’ll be running that shaver repeatedly over the same areas just to get that stubble.

In summary: does not perform as advertised. I was hoping for something better by Remington. It’s too bad because it’s a nice-looking shaver.

With 23 pieces this groomer has more options than I will ever use. In fact, I installed the wider trimmer & the 4mm comb, and I’m done. I just want to use it for my buzz cut. As it turns out, I can use this setting for my beard too.

So, the rest of the pieces are stored-away in the convenient little zipper bag, which comes with the 7000 model. I’ll probably never use them. Using this set-up is just great. I get a great buzz cut and the 4mm length is just perfect for my needs.

The lightweight trimmer is ergonomically easy to handle, and the quiet motor is powerful. The blades are sharp. The internal Lithium-ion battery recharged in a few minutes. I’m impressed, especially at this reasonable price point.

I have used a Merkur razor for 20 years. There are not many products anymore so thoughtfully engineered and built with this level of quality. I recently replaced my travel razor with a Merkur model similar to the 34C and liked it a great deal.

As the price point on the 34C was agreeable, I thought I would purchase one to try and possibly replace my home Merkur razor for a less aggressive shave. It has been a revelation and my facial skin has reacted well.

Although this razor is not adjustable you can control the level of aggressiveness in your shave by the blade you use. I use a Derby blade which suits me well for a coarse but not thick beard. I have used a Feather blade and if I had a thicker beard, this blade would be aggressive enough I believe.

If you want a high-quality razor that will deliver a smooth nonirritating shave daily, you will be pleased. The HD in the model number is for heavy duty and this meets the description. Yet the device is relatively light and the short handle prevents you from applying unnecessary pressure and the closed comb configuration prevents your shave from turning into a crime scene.

Any Merkur razor is a solid choice but what we men are less educated about is the type of tool: handle length, blade exposure, comb type etc. in theMerkur toolbox that will work best. If you choose Merkur, do your research to find the best fit for your beard and buy a quality blade to put in it and neither your face nor your wallet will be disappointed.

I typically use only TTO razors, just prefer them. But after years of hearing about the 34C I decided to buy the HD model. Best price around was here at NE shaving BTW. Anyways, the first time I used it I was amazed at just how smooth and great a shave I got.

The blade gap, at least for me was perfect. I could see this being great for beginners as well as seasoned shavers. The knurls aren’t aggressive but surprisingly hold up great wet. I usually use an alum block after I shave and was really surprised to find that this razor has left the least amount of stingy areas of any razor I own, and I love my fatboys and Rockwell model T’s for the same reason.

But the 34C was just a bit smoother. I like to switch razors now and then and this will definitely be in the line up. I recommend it to anyone. For reference as far as mild or aggressive I will just say I use setting 5 with my fatboys and setting 3.

5 with my Model T’s and find the 34 C HD blade gap to be comparable to those gap settings. Hope that helps. Either way, for the price this is an absolute steal in my opinion. Love this razor.

nice consistency. a little goes a long way. smells very refreshing. left my legs smooth. I was a little hesitant of shaving my bikini line bc of how the shampoo tingles. didn’t have any sensation on legs, should be fine.

I ordered two products. They arrived but it took about a week, if I’d know it was going to take that long I would have either got express shipping or bought elsewhere. My main problem was that the two products were put into a box together with one flimsy bit of paper scrunched up to pad them.

Needles to say that kids came off and they leaked. They didn’t break or empty completely but I won’t order again.

This shave gel was nice to use. The product has a nice thick lather. The packaging is nice as well, I didn’t experience any rusting of the can. The scent wasn’t horrible, I am not a fan of the scent of tea tree so that’s my own personal flaw not the products.

Over all I’d recommend it to others.

Ladies with sensitive skin- BUY THIS! Best purchase ever. I use this on face and body. I was using brow razors to dermaplane and shave the peach fuzz of my face but they are always way too harsh on my skin.

I also struggle hardcore with using normal razors on my legs and whole lower regional area. I’ll get thousands of ingrown hairs, razor bumps that are quite painful and not cute. I do wax occasionally but this Norelco electric razor is the best thing since sliced bread.

Everyone needs one. I usually have 2-3 blades on hand. I use one blade for my face and a seperate blade for my body and another for my lady parts. I always wipe down the blade with a alcohol pad before and after use.

Then I also occasionally wash the entire thing with dawn soap. It’s waterproof. This get your legs pretty dang smooth, but it won’t cut the hair under the skin to cause ingrown hairs. Be gone skin irritation!! Another amazing plus is it’s really hard to actually cut yourself with this electric blade.

So, full on Brazilian shave in all areas down there you can get everything without worrying your going to cut yourself and then be miserable all week long. Hubby can also Testi-fy that it’s good for dudes all over too without catchin some loose skin.

Wink wink. Girls buy this for yourself, then also buy one for your man because he will steal it anyway.

Sometimes products do evolve and it’s a wonderful thing – this is such an example. I’ve used The Body Shop’s shaving cream forever. It is BY FAR the best. A little bit harder paste one used only a little and lathered it on your wet face.

Took a little effort, but easy enough and fabulous. This update seems to add a little more moisture to it, so it is much softer and creamier. In the end, just as good as the original, but you’ll use a little more and the lathering effort is simplified.

I always liked the Maca Root shave cream: easy to lather, excellent cushioning, and great aftershave feel. Only thing I was not crazy about was the fragrance. Seems like people either like it or are so-so.

This new version still carries the same fragrance, but I find it more subdued. I believe most Maca Root users will be pleased with this version. For me, an added bonus is the new men’s moisturizer. It has a very nice, subdued citrus scent which covers the faint shaving cream scent.

Together, they are a wonderful combination. Hard to find a better shave cream at the sale, or even the full price.

Best shave cream on the market, but I think it’s time to shop for something different. YEARS ago, they had a 100ml tube that was perfect for traveling. Then they started making the tube in a larger size, so you couldn’t pack it in a carry on any longer.

But the oversize tube was easy enough to squeeze into TSA compliant tube. Well, now they’ve discontinued the tube all together. I’m not going to fight with trying to get the product from the tub into a travel tube.

I may continue to keep a tub at home, but I definitely need to shop for a new travel product.

The Norelco 9000 trimmer is an impeccably built, high quality trimmer that’s held back by some odd ergonomic/usability issues. Most of the body is built from steel, and has an incredibly premium feel and heft to it.

It includes a beard trimming attachment and a carrying case, and it works incredibly well for beard trimming. Using this to trim my lockdown beard (which was looking rather scraggly), I had no snags and the trimmer cut without bogging down at all, which is more than I can say for any of my previous trimmers.

The ergonomics of the Series 9000 trimmer need some work, though. My first clue to this is the fact that the package has a diagram that confusingly tries to explain how to hold the trimmer. Generally, you shouldn’t need an explanation on how to hold a trimmer.

The first thing I noticed when trying to use it is that the power button is oddly difficult to hit; seems weird, but for some reason, it’s not in a good spot for how I hold the trimmer. The second thing I noticed is that, because the trimmer head has a large “bar” type apparatus that floats above the head (which is where the trimmer guard attaches to), it’s surprisingly difficult to see what you’re doing when you’re trying to get a close trim.

Trimming around my ears, for instance, took an unexpected amount of thought and maneuvering to get the trimmer head just right. It’s the first time I’ve experienced this type of difficulty, so it’s definitely down to the ergonomic layout of this particular trimmer.

Overall, this is an incredibly high quality, high performance trimmer that made easy work of trimming my beard with zero issues or slow downs. Unfortunately, the layout makes using it a little more difficult than it should be.

The Philips Norelco Ultimate Beard and Hair Trimmer Series 9000 is the beard trimmer that I always wanted but did not know existed. I have been keeping a well-maintained beard for the past 4 years (with a little slip up during quarantine), and to maintain this beard I use 3 different trimmers: a large hair trimmer (to cut beard to desired length), a smaller face trimmer (for edge trimming and neckline), and a close 3 head trimmer for a clean shave.

This Ultimate Beard and Hair Trimmer combines two of these previous trimmers and could potentially eliminate the third if willing to compromise a tightly flush shave (0. 4mm residual). I have completely replaced the large hair trimmer and the smaller face trimmer.

The trimmer has ONE attachment that allows for a longer hair trim between 5. 4mm to 10mm. Without the attachment, one can get a close trim between 0. 4mm to 5mm. The 0. 4mm allows for cleaning beard line and removing the majority of hair.

I do still have the close 3 head trimmer out, charged, and ready to go when needing to look extremely well groomed and professional but this is for rare occasions. Overall, for my normal shaving, I can even out the length of my beard and clean up the neck using the one trimmer, which is delightful.

The trimmer is wireless, which of course is a plus! (Especially when going from a trimmer whose battery was dead and had to remain plugged in). In the hand, the trimmer is quite thick in my opinion. The manual suggests how to hold the trimmer.

I thought that was silly to mention; however, I found myself using the trimmer as described by default. Once you get shaving, the size become manageable and easy to maneuver. The best part in my opinion is the adjustable zoom wheel.

The trim ranges previously mentioned are controlled easily by an adjustable wheel. With a few clicks one can adjust the length between 0. 4mm to 5mm, and then with the attachment head added the length range changes to 5.

4mm to 10mm. I love this aspect, versus keeping up with multiple length attachments! The trimmer comes with a case, and a small brush to assist in cleaning up the trimmer. The manual mentions oiling the razor as needed; however, there was no oil included that I noticed.

This would be my only “complaint” as previous razors I have gotten include the oil, but this is not a deal breaker! Overall, I would view this beard and hair trimmer not only as a delight at home for easy maintenance, but an easily transportable razor for travel and on the go.

The ability to have multiple lengths with minimal attachments is the go-to selling point for myself.

Norelco does a great job with shavers and their clipper attachments are a great little added bonus, but I wouldn’t cut my hair with them for obvious reasons. That’s where the series 9000 comes in. At first glance, it looks and feels premium in both the real stainless steel body and the compact yet weighted feel in the hand.

It’s very portable and comes with it’s own carry case. I really like the large height adjustment wheel and steel blade guard that give a sense of precision while it actually follows through with that precision from 0.

4mm up to 10mm with the only included guard attachment. My old hair trimmer came with a bulky case and 9 attachments, the smallest of which was 3mm, so it’s refreshing to be able to vary the cut of my beard and sideburns.

As a hair trimmer, it’s kind of slow, mainly because the blade is small and the guard teeth are so close together. Though it does the job, I’ve decided to only use it for finishing touches for which I feel it works best.

I’ve even used it to clean up those hard to reach spots the shaver can’t get to like just below the jaw line or trimming the moustache just below the nose. I’ve used it for about a week and can report the battery has just recently went to 2 bars out of 3 which is pretty impressive.

The only thing that bothers me a bit is the elevated noise compared to my corded clippers. Though I would assume it’s to be expected from a cordless unit. Quite miniscule in comparison to it’s indispensability.

I would recommend this for people that don’t use razors, but want a well groomed beard and overall appearance.

I bought this in conjunction with Cantu’s Shea butter smooth shave gel. I found their Shea butter post shave soothing serum to be very ‘soothing’ on my face after use. There was no dryness as with other post-shave formulas.

And, I really liked the smell! Somewhat pricey, but I’d definitely recommend this product to others looking for something different.

Was disappointed to see it really offers no foam at all, and yes I know it’s non foaming. Broke out my R41 to give it a real test. All I can say is it’s not for me. Second pass I went to my trusty DR Harris to finish my shave.

First pass was reasonably good though, I did have a pre-shave in and I was being rather cautious. I felt far more confident with a thick rich layer of soap. I suppose if you start off with something less aggressive until you have the confidence in the product it would be fine.

For me, I’ll pass and stick with the old school rich lather.

Smoothest shave since I had an excellent barber shave me 50+ years ago. Shaving against the grain, NO razor burn. I have medium growth facial hair, and skipping a day has always somewhat iffy. Now I skip with much more confidence.

Compared to the standard Gillette or Schick gels, it is far, far superior. I tried two other non-mainstream shave creams, and this one was a good 20% superior to them, and about 45% superior to the Gillette and Schick gels.

Easy on, easy rinse. Takes very little of the admittedly small container, but I’ll stay with it.

I am 66 years old and am one of those guys that when I shave I like to be able to run my hand across the grain of my beard and feel nothing but smoothness. I have used Cremo tube shaving cream for a few years now and have been very happy with it.

I also like their Post-shave balm Spiced Amber. I have used a lot of different razors over the years. Gillette Fusion(do not know why their so popular,the handle connects to the bottom of the razor blade instead of the middle where you have more control of the pressure while shaving)Very expensive blades and not worth the money,have also used Barbosol 6 blade razor there actually not to bad although they tend to nick more often.

My number one razor until I discovered Cremo razors was Shick Hydrp 5 Sensor,very good razor. Now I have found the last razor I will ever want to use,Cremo razor is number one now. I am now on my 6th shave(none of my other razors lasted this long,they say they last a month not for me) and it feels like the first shave,I have had no nicks at all,I get a clean baby face shave,do not feel anything when I rub against the grain of my beard.

I think a lot of it has to do with the lubricated strip it is fantastic,all the others wear out by the 3rd or 4th shave,mine still going strong. So long story short if you want a really close shave with a great razor give this Cremo razor a shot I’m glad I did.

Best razor ever!!!.

Being a big fan of Cremo Reserve Collection shave cream I thought I would try their 5-blade razor for a couple months. I think the Cremo shaver and blades are quite a classy upgrade over my old Gillette Fusion and I plan to stick with it.

Pro: It cuts smoothly, cleanly and close. The handle is smooth and cylindrical, not slippery, looks great and has a satisfying, solid heft that I like. The two cartridges that came with the razor each lasted a month of daily face shaves similar to my old razor.

I rate it a very satisfying shave. Con: I thought the pull-back trimmer is a little blunt for tight nose corners but it does square off sideburns well. I have gotten better with practice so this now feels like a pretty minor complaint.

Finally, the cost of blades on the Cremo website is comparable to my previous 5-blade razor when I looked for bargains online.

After attempting to shave with this razor and the Cremo Shave Cream, I have to, sadly, give my experiences very low marks. The balance of the razor is very nice. The handle, however, has almost zero grip and is very slippery if your hands are wet.

It took me a lot longer to shave since I needed to re-scrape several times to remove my stubble down to a smooth feel of skin. The “Trim” blade is very cumbersome to open and close, too. If anyone at Cremo is actually reading this, I’d like to return my entire purchase for a Refund! I have gone back to using my trusty old Mach 3 for my facial grooming needs.

Well, the shaving cream itself has very nice, dense lather. If that’s real lavender, I don’t know. it doesn’t smell like any lavender I’ve smelled. One night, I was standing in the bathroom and happened to notice a little logo in the lower corner of the tube.

It looked familiar. On closer inspection, it was P&G – Proctor & Gamble. I was really quite unhappy when I saw that because the description on this website doesn’t mention anywhere that it’s a P&G company.

Sorry Fendrihan, just because of the “toxic masculinity” campaign that P&G was waging against all men, this one only gets a 2-star from me, even though it has nice lather. My fault for not looking at The Art of Shaving website where I would have seen that it’s a P&G company.

I bought this because my existing Phillips Norelco $20 groomer was starting to wear down and it was on sale. This seemed great based on the description and some of the reviews. I use it mostly on my neck, about once a week.

On the outer edge of my neck, it works okay. On the center of my neck, it’s like I never shaved at all. What I do now is a first pass with my Phillips and then a 2nd pass with this and I suppose that is marginally better than just the Phillips.

One positive thing about this product is that it’s easy to clean up and hair doesn’t go everywhere like it does with the Phillips. I always forget that online products can still be returned, otherwise I would have returned this.

I have a very small amount of very fine leg hair and it did not remove 75% of what’s there. Not sure if it was because I tried it dry, but I feel like a new contraption should perform better than my pink Panasonic electric razor that is 3-years-old.

(I usually shave once a week in the summer and my partner rarely notices if I don’t shave all winter. That’s how little hair we’re talking. This should be an easy job for any razor. ) I may have to spring for the expensive replacement blades for the Panasonic instead.

Bought a triple rotary norelco and all it did was cut my face and tear my skin. This braun replaced my old one and has not given me any issues at all. I do home health so Im shaving in the car on the way to patients homes and I can shave for days with 1 charge.

Not sure what all the bad reviews are for but come on. it’s an electric shaver. What “directions” do you need other than plug it in to charge it and shave like normal? What happened to common sense? My only complaint to braun is I wish the 9pro was a bit cheaper lol !.

I use the Head and Face Wash for my head only. I can tell that it cleans well because I often follow with an astringent to help prevent razor bumps. But there is not much dirt left for the astringent to pick up.

The Face Wash also does not dry out my head. My only issue is that my pump doesn’t work any more. I closed it by screwing it down, in order to transport the bottle, but when I unscrewed it, it stopped working.

Excellent results. The scent is awesome. My face and head feel so clean and refreshed. I have no more flaking of face or head. The customer service department is great. My first order was a post office problem.

Customer service took care of it instantly and fixed the situation. Very pleased. 👍.

Great experience when I started using the shave soap, but coming up on two years of use and the last 4 bottles I’ve gotten haven’t been a nice thick soap like consistency, but instead completely liquid.

The smell is nice and I don’t typically have any issues with redness or bumps, but I’m not sure how many more bottles I’m willing to buy when it’s been dud after dud for months.

This thing looks good, feels good, and does a pretty awesome job on my skull. I use it wet with a shaving creme for daily shaving. As long as I settle in and take my time, it doesn’t leave anything behind.

It cleans easily under water, though it takes more than the stated, single, 5-second dip to get clear; usually 3-4 times in the tank. It loses charge at 5 percentage points per day. After using it daily for over a week, it is sitting at 60%.

It came fully charged and I haven’t plugged it in since I got it. I used it one time on my neck under my beard, and that was a mistake. Most of the red marks from that are starting to clear up. For the price and the appearance, I was expecting a stainless steel body and head stem, but it is all plastic.

That helps make it lightweight, but I find my hand wanting more substance. It is quiet enough so you don’t have to worry about waking the other monks when you are shaving. Overall, I would recommend the style.

I haven’t used the less-expensive models, but I wonder whether the features of the Platinum PRO are worth the price difference. Like the other models, this comes with one of the shaving heads, with no chance to try the others out, but when it is time I will replace the stock head as it seems well-suited to my nut.

Bought this for my husband for Father’s Day- there was a bundle with the beast clipper and the baby beast trimmer. He used the beast clipper first for his hair (no attachment) and beard (6mm attachment).

Then followed with the platinum shaver for a closer shave on the head (the shaver is perfect for weekly maintenance). The design and presentation on these items is just fantastic, not only they look SUPER COOL (they look fancier IRL) but the performance on both is amazing.

No irritation on the head (Note- this was his first ‘close shave’) and he was very happy with the ease of use, and how fast he was able to go over all areas (in matter of minutes, which was not the case before).

They also come fully charged- you can take them out of the box and use right away. The only item we haven’t tried is the baby beast trimmer that came in the bundle, but we might save it and gift it to someone (either one of these would make a great gift for a loved one, or for yourself!).

Absolutely worth the money!!! I ordered additionally another blue travel case for the clipper (the platinum shaver already comes with one!). If you’re on the fence- go for it, you absolutely will not be disappointed!.

I’ve been a foil shaver user for many years (Panasonic ES-LV81 Arc5 for about the past 5 years, and another Panasonic and a Braun before that). The ES-LV81 still works fine, but since it’s getting up there in age, I was ready to buy something new and relegate the Panasonic to backup duty.

I’ve always been curious about the Norelco rotary shavers, and with the especially favorable reviews this S9000 Prestige received, decided to give it a try. The packaging is nice, and the razor is clearly a premium-quality product.

One small feature I really like is how the display shows the battery charge level just by picking up or nudging it (no need to turn it on to check the battery). A minor annoyance, the clear sticker they put over the screen left a lot of sticky residue when I peeled it off, which required considerable effort to remove.

Coming from a couple of decades of foil razors, the most immediate and noticeable difference was how much quieter it is. Instead of a fairly loud and intense buzz sound, though the rotary is not silent by any means, it has a much calmer whirring sound, so I’m a lot less likely to wake my wife up when shaving early in the morning.

In terms of closeness, I’d characterize it as being indistinguishable from the Panasonic (which is lauded as probably the best on the market in this regard). For a few days I shaved one side of my face with the Panasonic, and the other side with the Norelco Prestige, and could not detect any difference in appearance or feel of the end result between the two.

The Panasonic has always struggled to take care of those longer whiskers after 2-4 days of growth, especially the thinner/curlier ones on my neck, and I’m often left with my face and neck feeling a bit beat-up after that kind of shave.

The Prestige does a noticeably better job here, as it handles these longer hairs a lot easier and quicker. It’s hard to understand why Norelco chose not to include a cleaning station with this very pricey, top-of-the-line razor, but this doesn’t directly affect me much, as even though the past three shavers I’ve owned have come with one of these, I’ve gradually moved away from using them, in favor of manual cleaning (for the ES-LV81, I just used the cleaning station as a dryer / charger).

Doing a daily quick rinsing of the Norelco is easy, but removing each head for the recommended more thorough monthly cleaning is a bit tedious. If I had to do this every day, I would not want to keep this razor, but only having to do it once a month is no big deal.

Though a few of the professional and user reviews I read on this product weren’t thrilled about the wireless Qi charging, I really like it. I think the biggest complaint they had is that charging is significantly slower, but this is a non-issue for me, as in my entire decades of using these kinds of shavers, never once have I found myself in a situation where the battery was unexpectedly dead and I had to hurry and charge it to shave right then.

And that scenario is all but impossible with the Prestige, because not only is the charge state very readily recognizable on the screen, but it also gives you a warning beep when the battery is low (indicating that there is only enough charge left for one more shave), prompting you that it’s time to charge.

I prefer to not charge after every shave, opting instead to let the battery get down to 20-30% before charging, as I think it’s better for the battery’s health vs. keeping it fully charged all the time.

So, I just keep it on a washcloth next to the charger, and when it does need to be charged, it’s completely effortless to set it down on the charger (of course, in all fairness, it doesn’t take much effort to plug a wire in).

I’d say the only real negative about the Norelco Prestige for me is that the case it comes with is quite large, partially due to head of the shaver being less slim than a foil shaver, and also because there’s space for the Qi charging pad.

When I travel, it’s usually only for a week at the most, so I typically don’t bring along the charger anyway, and I’d really rather not have this huge case taking up space in my bag. So, I found an inexpensive smaller case on Amazon, and also picked up a plastic protective cap as well (it’s inexplicable as to why Norelco didn’t at least include this cap, as that is standard equipment for pretty much every razor on the market).

I have a tough beard and sensitive skin. I’d used Norelco shavers for a couple decades until trying the SensoTouch 3D (1250) which tore my face up. Switched to Braun for a decade and loved how closely they shaved while I just put up with the loud noise.

Finally tried a Panasonic Arc 5 a year ago and am not impressed by the noise or awkward feel while using it, however it gets remarkably close. Finally, I decided to try the Norelco 9000 Prestige after reading many reviews and watching numerous videos.

It looked amazing. Out of the box, it is well balanced and has the best feel in-hand of any shaver I’ve ever tried. I was impressed by how effortlessly it cut down a 3-day growth of beard, not pulling once.

It’s been just over 3 weeks now of daily shaving. I’ll wet-shave about half the time (wow! Best results) and the other half just a light, dry shave. So far, I’m extremely pleased with the closeness, comfort and efficiency of this shaver.

The wireless charging pad is very convenient and tops off the shaver within minutes of each 5-minute use. There is definitely a technique to use with Norelco shavers. A lighter touch on the face, moving it in a circular motion works best.

The only drawback to this shaver is the hefty price.

Even though my sense of smell is weaker than average, I was expecting even a whiff of sandalwood, of which there is hardly the ghost of a whisper. However, the can is large & the foam is creamier than the plastic aerated rubbish from cheaper supermarket brands.

I have to admit I’m partial to the Proraso tube cream. It just seems a bit creamier and has a stronger scent. But for convenience & speed, the can is great. This is much better quality than Barbasol.

For display I like the traditional Proraso red & white shown here- (newer cans have green, red & white stripes). If you are wondering which type gives the best shave- soap, tube cream or cannister- TUBE shaving cream is the best whether applying it with your fingers or a brush.

I have tried them all. Absolute best IMO is ” Real Shave Cream Company” made in England. But I use Proraso all the time for quality & value.

I have sensitive skin, and the Bevel shave cream has been working great. I was really impressed to read that the primary ingredient is organic aloe leaf juice. Their complete product line is designed to both help during the shaving process, and also result in healthier skin.

I really like the fragrance, and that it lathers up so well. It comes in a tube for minimal product and packaging waste. I can make sure the tube is completely empty before moving on to a new one. I’d been using a canned gel shave cream previously.

One of the challenges with just about any canned product, is that you have less control over usage. One press on the button causes a lot of product to be produced. With the Bevel shave cream, I can use as much or as little as I want.

I received this Shave Cream as part of a sample for a review study and after a few uses, although not something I would be likely purchase myself, I can say I am happy to have. Generally a beard wearer, I mostly only use a razor to clean up around the edges of the beard and neck areas.

As anyone reading this would know, the neck tends to be one of the more sensitive areas of the shave – I have been known to get a few cuts along the way, but I believe this product is helpful in preventing the customary cuts and bumps that come with the pleasure of a daily shave.

Use along with other products within the kit is recommended, and for those who would be interested in this type of product, or a kit such as Bevel provides, would definitely recommend the purchase.

i received a free sample of the shave cream in return for writing a review. it comes in a nice little bottle, but when shaving in the shower, i sometimes found it difficult to unscrew the cap with wet or slippery hands.

the cream is intended to be used in conjunction with a lather brush. unfortunately, i was not provided a brush, so used it without. it did the job well enough, although i don’t know that it worked any better than other shaving creams/gels.

perhaps with the brush it would have been better.

I have shaved my head for many years now. I could never get a really smooth shave on my scalp. When I bought my motorcycle. I asked the salesman how he was able to achieve such a smooth shave. He recommended HeadSlick.

I have used it ever since. I also used to cut myself shaving all of the time. HeadSlick solved that problem too. I also use it for shaving my face. I am a customer for life.

I use this to shave my head and it works great! It works so much better than the stuff in the spray can. After washing my head in nice warm water, I apply about a thumbnail size to my hand, rub my hands together for a bit to work up a nice lather and spread it on my head, cheeks, and the back of my neck.

I then get after it with my HeadBlade on my head and my Gillette Mach 3 on my cheeks and neck. Once I am done and rinsed, my head is as smooth as silk with no irritation. I am definitely going to keep getting this.

This cream is nice and slick but it dries out too quickly and needs to be remoistened half way through the shave experience. I have started to use and apply it with my soft shaving brush which makes quick work of remoistening the shave surface.

I highly recommend a brush. HeadBlade, you should sell one! :D.
