Best Product For Flyaway Fine Hair (2023 Updated)

This is the best hair product I’ve ever used by far. Years ago I read about this “new” product in the news paper and was impressed by the science behind it. I purchased it and never looked back. The instructions say to spray it on wet hair after shampooing.

I find it even more effective for a quick spray on dry hair right before using my flat iron. It seems to protect my hair and it comes out so shiny, smooth and soft. My hair feels cleaner longer. This No Frizz Weightless Styling Spray is a game changer.

It seems pricey but the results are priceless!! I seldom take the time to write reviews but always read them. This product is worth the time and money.

Okay so you needed to read more than my title to decide, well this is the only product that works for my hair, does everything that it says it does, and performs without any compromises. I have long, thick, course, and slightly wavy asian hair that becomes like a hurricane if there is any humidity at all in the atmosphere, and if it is not blown dry it’s just too much to handle.

Humidity does not stand a chance with this super lightweight product. The easy to use spray nozzle discharges a fine even mist without aerosol and has a nice clean scent. You don’t need to waste a lot of product saturating your hair with it, even with waist length thick hair, all you need is a few spritzes on damp hair, and to comb it though to distribute the product evenly.

There is absolutely no feeling of stickiness, oiliness, or build up before or after you blow dry. You will feel absolutely no product in your hair and you won’t be able to stop touching it. It really does help you prolong your blow out because in addition blocking out humidity and smoothing the hair cuticle, it oddly keeps your hair feeling cleaner longer by repelling dirt.

I love a sleek look and sadly New York City summers can be really unkind to my kind of hair. Living Proof No Frizz products have been the savior to my “hair looks like big hot mess” situation and if you can only pick up 1 product from the line, without question, it should be this one.

The No Frizz Weightless Spray is my life saver! My hair is thick, long and very frizzy and although I love it, I don’t have the time and energy for styling it after every washing. I used to be a hostage to the top knots whenever I wouldn’t style my hair until I found this product.

Usually I use it while my hair is still wet, I spray it all over, roll it in a turban then go to sleep. In the morning my hair has a nice and soft bedhead waves but no frizz! I can’t live without this product anymore.

I’m generally pretty leary of serum type products because my hair is fairly fine/thin and products like this usually weigh it down and make it look like I need to wash my hair again. I was really nervous because it’s a bit thicker than other serum products I’ve used before that were too heavy, but somehow it doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it greasy.

It smooths the cuticle and makes it so silky. i thought it was only for blow-drying, but I applied it and let my naturally medium/fine, wavy hair air dry and it actually looked good! Normally, letting my hair air dry with my natural wave is NOT cute.

It’s just puffy and frizzy. This gives my waves defined shape and holds even when I brush thru it. I applied it lightly over my roots as well as I used it more often and it STILL didn’t grease my hair up, it’s crazy!! Wonderful all around smoothing product to use before blow-drying OR air-drying.

I’ve been so impressed with Paul Mitchell’s products. Oh, be SURE to use a clarifying shampoo (I use The Shampoo 2) periodically as the silicones will build up and can cause breakage/fallout if not cleaned off and conditioned.

Serum I usually follow CGM, and while I loved how this felt in my hands to SOTC (scrunch out the crunch of my gel) after my hair was dry, I won’t be using it again due to the buildup potential of dimethicone when you don’t also use sulfates.

Shampoo I usually follow CGM, so I don’t usually use products with sulfates or silicones. The shampoo wasn’t as drying as I feared, but it still felt drying enough that I won’t be using it again. It did seem quite cleansing, but that’s expected with sulfates.

Conditioner I usually follow CGM, and this only has one drying alcohol that makes it non-CGM. However, I usually like my conditioner thick and creamy, and this was quite thin. I typically wash and condition first, then rinse my conditioner out right before getting out of the shower.

However, I had to rinse and reapply halfway through—my hair started feeling really dry. It seemed better after the second application. In my experience, frizz comes from dryness, so you’d think a frizz-fighting product would provide sufficient moisture.

Cream I usually follow CGM, so I wouldn’t normally have tried this due to the amodimethicone. In some ways, I really liked this cream, but my hair didn’t curl up as tightly as when I use my regular products.

I’m hoping it might be good for the dry winter months of January and February, though—I’ve been wondering if amodimethicone would help at that time of year, along with cutting out humectants. Overall, I ended up with more frizz on wash day than I do using my regular, CGM-approved products.

That said, the silicones protected my hair from the added frizz I usually get outside, and my refresh days (when I didn’t wash my hair for the next few days) were less frizzy than usual. Hair type: 3a/b, high porosity, low density, medium strand width.

Frizz for me usually comes from dry air and dry hair, not excess humidity. Climate: the desert: low dew point December–April, medium dew point May—November.

So it’s a very convenient size bottle only 3 ounces very bright yellow color and absolutely marvelous scent of flowers that is not overwhelming and very clean and pleasant. There’s a little cover over the pump that’s transparent, the bottle is transparent as well and the pump is very convenient and only gives you the amount that you need per each pump action.

It’s very liquidy and oily but the serum is nice and smooth and silky and it works pretty well especially on damp hair but I would actually suggest using it on dry hair so you don’t overuse it because it is oil or oily and you don’t want to have that much oil in your hair because it’s going to get dirty/greasy pretty quickly then.

 it did also help with the flyaways and keep it from becoming frizzy. I think it’s a very good product and I will continue to use it because it works and I really like the scent and I really like that it’s not such a big bottle that I could bring it with me in my purse and I love the little cover for the pump so even if it spills it won’t actually leak.

I will recommend this product and the line because it’s high quality, luxurious appealing and almost substitutes for a slight body mist or perfume that smells like beautiful smelling flowers which reminds me of wisteria.

But the scent is definitely not overpowering it’s slight and subtle and sweet and floral. Thank you Influenster for letting me try this product which I love. .

I rarely blow dry my hair. I dye it and balayage and then spend so much time outside that I feel like it gets beat up enough. Still, on occasion, I want a nice sleek look to my ordinarily wavy hair and do a quick blow out, but always with a high end protector.

I perfer spray on protectors or Morrocan Oil when blowing out my hair. So when I tried this at first, I was kinda surprised on how thick it was. It wasn’t runny like Morrocam Oil or bio silk (How I loved that) it also integrated really well into my damp hair.

It didn’t feel greasy or heavy. I blew it out like normal and loved it! My hair was straight and super shiny. The blow our lasted me well throughout a busy day It was super soft to the touch and never got greasy, even when I applied some for extra shine after the blow out.

I really like it’s thicker texture because I was able to concentrate it on those areas I wanted the shine to hit or I knew the curl had a mind of it’s own. It didn’t feel like it would get all over the place like the the oil type products.

The next day it washed out of my hair very well. The wave came back and my hair returned to it’s normal bouncy self. So I would totally recommend this product since it’s easier to deal with than some other products and really made my hair feel wonderful and even better, look very natural after styling.

I have loved John Frieda’s frizzease serum for over 10 years. Dedicated to the product as it’s been true to me & my locks. Just two months ago I ordered as I typically do, however this time it was different packaging – and to my ‘horror’ & extreme dismay, it was also a completely different, horrible product.

This new formula is terrible. It makes my hair dry, brittle, and left with no lush or moisture feel to it. Btw I tested this new formula / their “frizzease” product for over 2 weeks, then switched to the last remnants of my original frizzease product – it was night & day.

The new formula : “new version of frizzease” – needs to be AVOIDED at all costs. Note to John Frieda – I know we’re all trying to cut costs now, however I invest in your product. Been an advocate for years.

Now the product I love & know, have used religiously & valued, has apparently been discarded like most good things. If we the people could speak, we’d be up in arms for the original. Keep doing what you do best, and keep us loyal customers happy.

I tried this product on a whim out of desperation. Winter in the Midwest keeps us confined inside in very dry, static-prone environments that transfer to my hair. I’ve tried water, I’ve tried hairspray, and nothing works to keep from hair from looking like I just rubbed a balloon across it.

Hair sticking straight out, up, and general extreme static electricity made it impossible for me to do anything but pull my hair up pretty much through the whole winter. I wasn’t sure about this product since frizz isn’t really the issue, but it did say it works with static so I decided to give it a try, honestly expecting it to basically be just like another hair spray.

When I first shook the bottle and sprayed it out it didn’t alleviate my skepticism because, expecting the wet stickiness of hairspray, nothing much happened and that surprised me. It comes out as such a fine mist that it’s very reminiscent of compressed air.

I couldn’t see how that could do anything for my hair, but imagine my surprise when after spraying it over my head and running my fingers through my hair, an action that would normally leave the strands sticking out every which way, my hair stayed smooth and sleek.

This even adds an increased shine. I don’t brush it through, just spray it on and sort of work it in with my fingers. There is a slight fragrance when it’s coming out but I don’t notice the scent in my hair after that.

Usually one spray-over will do me for the entire day but occasionally I have noticed the static beginning to creep back in by evening, but then I just re-spritz and I’m good to go. So maybe throw it in your purse just in case to see how long it works for you and have it there as a backup should you need it again, but that’s only happened to me once or twice.

Ordinarily it does the job the entire day without needing a second coat. Best of all, not only did it control my static prone flyaways but it didn’t leave my hair stiff and unmovable the way hairspray does.

I’ll definitely be buying this every winter.

I think this product is great in theory, we have hair sprays that can do so many different things such as make your hair stay, dry shampoos, create volume so why shouldn’t there be a spray for frizz? This product claims to reduce frizz and add shine without making your hair greasy or oily and you can use it wet or dry.

I’ve tried using this product multiple ways, on wet or dry hair and by spraying it different ways such as close to my head, far away for my head, spraying the hair in a downward direction or spraying directly, but I didn’t find that it worked.

Like most Garnier products it smelled great, fruity and citrus without being overly powerful or smelling the alcohol which is in the product. I have thin, coarse hair, but a lot of it and I didn’t think this product was heavy.

I even sprayed it and felt it on my hand. However, I think this product needs to be thicker or slightly sticky to work. I didn’t think this product did anything and depending on how you sprayed it could cause more frizz or flyaways due to the pressure from spraying it.

Even when I held the bottle so the spray went down the length of my hair at the top of my head still didn’t make a difference. I didn’t notice any less flyaways or my hair being shinier. I don’t think there is enough substance to this product to work as I think you need a thicker product to help way down the hair or fill the hair molecules to reduce the frizz such as a sticky hairspray or serum.

It did dry quickly which was nice. I wouldn’t recommend this or purchase this item again.

In the wintertime when it’s dry I have impossible messy hair, the flyaway sort. In the morning I often say I look like a little pixie. Try as I may to flatten out those strands of hair (sometimes larger clumps) not much work outside of washing it.

I needed something to tame it and thought the Garnier Fructis just might help with it. The can isn’t a large one, but just enough to carry me through the winter months. Never fails, I do find hair that sticks out (or up) and gave it a try in a couple of spots.

When I sprayed it on, it didn’t flatten it, but rather when I brushed my fingers though my hair it settle down. Now, one can’t expect that with the word “Fructis” in the title the product can’t be devoid of fragrance.

It does have “limonene fragrance,” but I was more in tune and sensitive to the smell of the propellants. It definitely has that hairspray-ish smell, but it wasn’t all that offensive as I expected it.

The argania spinosa kernel oil kept my hair from becoming stiff. Unlike argan oil it won’t create a beautiful new me sort of hair, but rather helps tame it. There’s just enough to help with the frizzy mess today.

Usually I end up putting on a little wool pill box hat, but this Garnier Fructis does help and I can put the hat aside for now.

I’ve given this product a more than fair amount of uses, at the minimum two dozen, or 24 times. I’ve tried all weather conditions you could think of, inside outside. At a point I realized, I was trying to make this product work, as if there is a mystery way to apply, 8 jus5 haven’t figured out the code to unlock it’s full potential.

but, I think it’s just due to my love for village, how ride or die I am for other product lines, that I just expected, with no doubt, that this was going to be of the same high quality. But, use after use, night after night I couldn’t go to bed without washing it from my hair.

It creates that heavy, greasy texture to your hair, that makes you feel as if it’s been a week since you’ve washed your hair. That’s this type of smoothing product, you know the type I’m talking about.

The one thing I do use it for is in the morning I use it to initiate the first run through of detangling, my frizzy lions mane. It works, better than water, just use a light light amount a comb. Thankful that there isn’t a harsh scent to this product, it does have a light fragrance but nothing overpowering, or heavy floral.

I’m so sad to say but they really missed the mark on this one…it feels like it came from a completely different company, because this is not even close to, or comparable to the dozen or more high quality products, I’ve had the pleasure of using.

This is my first miss with biolage, all the claims on this bottle, I can’t even pick one that fits or is truthful. I’m so sorry, but I have to be honest, because I’ve had my hair ruined from products, reacting terribly to my frizz, I had to cut it off, so I take a review for hair care very seriously.

I always answer in my reviews this question, if asked this bottle was to run out, would you repurchase with your own money, I’m so sorry to say I wouldn’t, I couldn’t recommend it to a friend, or family member either.

I feel bad saying those words, but I guess no one is perfect, but I’m sure they will have a line next week that hits hard,.

I was so happy to receive this product as I was not notified that I would be getting it, so it was a nice surprise! I started to test it out and did not research the product ahead of time in order to get an honest, unbiased experience.

It’s been a couple weeks now and I feel I have a good idea as to how the product works for me. I will start off with pros: The product smells amazing!! It is definitely in line with what you would expect the products used on you in a high end salon to smell like.

The smell is decently long lasting which I find is a rare quality of hair products in general. I am always looking for products that will smell great and last longer than a few moments, so that is for sure a plus.

It also makes my hair easier to comb through once I get out of the shower and towel dry my hair. Now for the cons: It’s not very effective in what it claims to do. I didn’t notice any positive change in the quality or smoothness of my hair.

Some days in fact, my hair was a noticeably lot dryer than usual despite no change in my routine to cause this. I have thin in volume, thick in texture (individual strands are thick), straight to wavy hair that has not been treated with color or bleach in a year’s time.

I also do not use heat. I struggle with frizz due to my hair’s makeup and how it air dries so I was disappointed with the product because I found no benefits in frizz or fly always. Also of note is that it leaves a very hard to remove slick residue on the floor wherever you spray it.

It is a very thin, strangely dry residue and it makes the ground super slick and slippery. I did in fact do some tests with the product as well including styling test with hot tools. There were 3 trials I did with using it as a primer before blow drying and curling as I would for a special event.

This had no effect on the spray’s efficacy. After getting ready to leave my review, I researched Biolage. It is definitely a pricier brand so to me it should perform a lot better than it does. I have no issue splurging on self care products if they are effective, but this is a no for me personally.

It feels more in line with a drug store brand like Pantene. I read through the ingredients and see lots of alcohols salts. I’m obviously not a chemist, but I fail to see why such components would be used to make up a “smoothing, moisturizing shine spray” as these just dry out and dull the hair.

I appreciate transparency and understanding what I can of the parts that make up products I use on my body, so knowing there are that many different alcohols and salts doesn’t line up with the brand’s claims about the product or make me feel that good about the using it on my hair.

I am a 25 year old female with lots of experience with different self care and beauty products. I care a lot about the integrity of my hair and just don’t see this as being a useful part of a well rounded hair care routine.

In conclusion, the smell is wonderful and I would be open to trying different Biolage products. This mist however, is mostly an overpriced hair perfume with no tangible benefits.

To start off, I have thick, straight Asian hair that requires different products to manage the flyaways. I don’t color my hair and it hasn’t been chemically treated. I normally use a hair serum before blow drying.

I was excited to try this smoothing shine milk spray. As the name indicates, you spray this on before blow drying to smooth out the frizz. The mist could be finer but it sprays evenly to lightly coat the area.

As I dried my hair with the blow dryer and a brush, I noticed the shine coming through and my hair getting smoother. I would describe the fragrance as a tropical floral while drying. Once my hair is dry, the scent is very faint but it could be because I don’t use a lot of the product on my hair.

In the photo you can see the front/side of my hair where I used the product vs. the back/side where I did not use the product. It’s a little hard to see but I did see a difference in the texture of my hair.

Once I finished blow drying and turned the dryer into cooling mode (I always do this), I did see a noticeable improvement in the smoothness and shine in my hair. It’s weightless and does not leave a residue, which I love.

I also use the spray on dry hair whenever I need to smooth out the flyaways. Be careful if you use this in a room with hard tiles. It makes the flooring very slippery and for some odd reason, after it dried down on the floor, it made the room smell a little like a flowery maple syrup.

This is the only new product I used in the room so that’s something to keep in mind. I would recommend this to friends who are looking for a product to tame the frizz and add shine. If I had to change anything, it would be a nicer package design and a finer mist spray.

The product itself works really well and I would consider purchasing it in the future.

My daughter has reached the stage where her hair has to be just so. She has detangler, hairspray, texture spray. more products than I’ve ever used when I was so little! Instead of hairspray, we thought to try this flyaway taming wand.

She was hesitant at first. She’s gotten used to hairspray, but this is simple to use and she didn’t have to worry so much of my spraying it into her face instead of her hair. The gel comes out white so you can see where it’s been applied, and then I just brush it through.

It’s a simple solution for my daughter’s fine hair. She says she still prefers hairspray (what child says that??), but I think I will get her to convert. 🙂 This review was collected as part of a promotion, and the opinions are my own.

This taming wand is pretty tiny but extremely cute! It smells so, SO good. I wasn’t expecting it to smell good but it smells sweet (assuming it’s the jojoba and coconut oil causing the scent). I think it works well.

It doesn’t make the hair look greasy or wet at all. The wand kind of got stuck in the hair when using it, but I just pushed the hairs down with my fingers. I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review.

The taming wand is perfect for flyaway hairs from a ponytail. It helps to provide a polished look. It smells like coconut which I liked. It didn’t make my hair bloom greasy. It is very easy to apply and the wand is a perfect size.

Love this product! It is amazing for keeping my baby hairs and flyaways down! Especially when it’s windy! The only thing I don’t like is that sometimes when it dries it turns white and can give the appearance of dandruff.

Overall a good product though and I use it often.

If I could give this 10 stars I would. I’m so frustrated they discontinued this product- the only place I’ve found it was on amazon for $40!!!! No thank you, I will make the one I have now last as long as possible.

This is your golden ticket to smooth, frizz-free hair. You LIGHTLY swipe onto your untamed pieces of hair and smooth down with your fingers and it stays in place all day! I keep it on me at all times Incase a stubborn piece or hair tries to stand out.

We all have those days where no matter how we’ve styled, our hair still has that eyesore static. This product works VERY well. Doesn’t weigh everything down and add moisture that will destroy any curl or straightening.

Doesn’t have a strong smell either.

I use this almost daily. I have fine hair and sometimes (who am I kidding most days) when brushing it out in the morning, it’ll get really staticy/frizzy. This totally combats that and leaves my hair feeling very smooth and soft.

I just spray it directly into my dry hair and brush it through. Does have a citrus scent but it is quite pleasant and not too strong. Overall, would highly recommend for anyone with thin hair❤️💁🏽‍♀️.

It works, but i feel like it make syour hair not soft and it adds crunch. Like your hair gets clumped togetber. Maybe im using it wrong, but its good. Just use from a distance.

I got this product to test for free but I always give an honest opinion no matter what. Having tried just about everything out there, it’s better to know what you want without wasting your money trying to find out what works best for you individually.

I got this in the mail yesterday & was so excited to try, being as I’ve ALWAYS been obsessed with biolage’s products. they smell amazing & make my hair feel even more AMAZING. literally everything I’ve tried from that brand has worked wonders, so I had no doubt that this would too.

I’m not huge on all organic & green products, but hey. if it’s good for your hair & good for the environment etc. than I’m all for it. Being a styling spray, it says to spray in damp hair & to blow dry.

but I was so eager that I sprayed it all over my dry hair. To my surprise, it made my hair super soft, almost like a detangler or leave in conditioner. not sticky or heavy like some styling products.

Then, after my shower last night I sprayed my damp hair down again to see the difference. All I did was throw it up in a messy bun till morning. I didn’t blow dry, style or anything an lo & behold. I let my hair down the next morning to find perfectly loose & bouncy beach waves.

I have no idea how they came out so great when I just gave my straight hair a twist & threw it up in a bun, but you definitely need to try it for yourself! I’m big on cosmetology, like mostly makeup wise & never spend too much time on my hair so this is the PERFECT way for me to have great hair on an everyday basis 💁🏻‍♀️ It does have lavender in it & you can definitely smell the lavender in your hair but it’s not as overly scented as other products from biolage that I’ve tried.

but then I realized that it’s all natural ingredients, no artificial fragrances or anything so what more can you ask for. I would definitely recommend this product. I’m interested in seeing how well it works with all different types of hair.

I have a lot of hair but the strands are thin, long, straight hair that’s bleached. I would never really classify my hair as getting frizzy almost ever. The only time I may want a little more control is at my part when I curl my hair.

So that’s exactly when I used this Frizz Control styling spray. And oh my GOD it worked like a dream! It was the PERFECT formula for my hair. It did not weigh it down and my hair needs a lot of product to hold a curl so there’s already a lot going on in there.

I was incredibly pleased to experience such a lightweight texture that smoothed everything I wanted smoothing out! And the scent. it was ABSOLUTELY divine! I couldn’t get enough of how beautifully organic smelling it was.

The only thing I noticed was that it did not keep every single hair down as I would have liked it. I’m sure that’s to be expected from a lighter weight product though so you give some you get some! Overall I loved it!.

I’m a REALLY huge fan of everything made by the haircare brand R+Co! I’ve never tried a product of theirs that wasn’t impressively efficient. Their products always work as they claim that they will, and this R+Co Foil Frizz + Static Control Spray is no exception! I have very frizzy hair, and nothing ever really works too ease or even get rid of it.

I’ve tried more products to combat frizz than I can even remember. I’ve tried so many anti-frizz (both spritz and aerosol) sprays that claim to tame or even get rid of frizz, but I know from experience that most products either do nothing or not enough to make any true difference in the level of frizz my hair has.

This R+Co Foil Frizz + Static Control Spray is a miracle! I cannot believe that I’ve found a product to get rid of frizz that ACTUALLY works! It’s pricey, but it’s SO worth the investment! I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone that experiences frizzy hair, especially those that, like myself, typically have difficulties finding a product that really works!.

I have used various Frizz ease products in the past, but none worked quite like this. Before purchasing this product, I have used numerous anti-frizz products, from high-end to drugstore quality, without success.

While scrolling through the Target app, I came across this product and decided to try it. When I saw the amount of product that was offered, I was skeptical. But, the serum has a thicker consistency, and a small amount goes a long way.

I have very long hair, and I only needed one pump that I could work into the tips and midsection of my hair without needing more or having leftovers. As someone who only air dries their hair, products are important to keep my hair smooth and controlled.

For the price and seeing the results, this is definitely a product that I have been searching for the past 30 years! I am glad I gave it a try when other products have not been compatible with me in the past.

I have been using this hair serum for so many years and this is my favorite product ever. It controls my hair frizz, detangles, and makes them smooth and straight. I like the bottle design, simple yet elegant.

The fragrance is so nice, however, it lingers around for only a few seconds. The texture is not too thin and nor thick just the right consistency, after application, it never leaves the sticky feeling in your hands.

This is my most favorite hair serum ever. Highly recommended.

If I could give this serum 10 stars I would! I am not the type who gets all hyped about leaving a review but I’ve been having the WORST time with my hair recently-so much so that I was considering cutting it all off (it’s nearly 18” long).

I used the serum after my shower, along with some mouse at my scalp for volume, flipped my head upside down and blow dried for less than 5 minutes and a miracle happened. When I flipped up, my strands were magically restored and I could brush through the length of my hair!! I have not been able to do that in a long time-my brush would get stuck and my hair is thin but still managed to get matted/frizzy/knotty.

It was disgusting. But one use with this stuff and seriously, my hope is restored. The frizz is controlled, its shiny, silky smooth and still has some volume. So yes I recommend this serum! Get it!! You will not regret it.

I have (mostly) straight hair and am not exaggerating when I say that this was a game changer for me. I currently a chin length bob and I really like the tousled “I woke up like this” french girl inspired look.

Mouse and salt sprays weigh my hair down and leave it looking dull and crunchy. This cream is so lightweight and you don’t need much to create beautiful soft waves. Just scrunch into your hair and you’re good to go! No 2000s ramen noodle hair here.

Also worth noting that I have eczema and I am sensitive to a lot of hair products, but this one didn’t irritate my skin at all. Almost out and off to buy more.

I have used this particular hair spray for years and years. But now Tresemme decided to change the formula. It doesn’t hold my hair, but simply makes it hard and stiff and it’s almost impossible to get a comb or brush through it without ripping out a lot of my very fine and thin hair.

It is also extremely difficult to shampoo this hair spray out of my hair. I don’t shampoo my hair every day because it is so dry, so I end up with a day or two of hair spray built up in my hair, which doesn’t totally wash out.

The build-up is awful. I’m so very sorry that Tresemme made this formula change. Please, Tresemme, bring back the old formula, otherwise, I do not recommend that anyone buy this product. I can’t believe all the positive / 4-5 star reviews.

I was using a pricey kerastace hairspray for years that was discontinued. Desperate for a replacement, I bought a number of brands. This was the clear winner. I love this. I have fine hair. I need a strong spray that doesn’t look or become sticky, and one that lasts the entire day, whether it’s windy, hot….

Couldn’t believe this inexpensive drug store brand works just as well for me as a $40 -$50 product. I’m sold. Not interested in more expensive hair sprays any more. Even if my old spray came back on market, I’d stay with this one.

That’s how much I like it.

Tressame 4 has been my hairspray for years. Unscented, good hold without being sticky or wet. But the last can I bought with the “new look” was a totally different hairspray. I bought unscented as always but the smell is horrible, strong and overbearing.

It is a wet spray as well. My fine hair goes limp with this “new look”. I am returning that can to Walmart. I went to Kroger and bought 3 cans with the old look. Maybe by the time I go through 3 cans, Tresemme will go back to the perfect hairspray or I will find another one to become my perfect hairspray.

The bar is very soft and the oils in it are really nice. It doesn’t smell like anything, which is nice (free of perfume). I tried using this bar on dry hair and it was WAY too heavy – I have seriously fine and thin strands of hair with flyaways.

Even just a little was too heavy for my thin hair and it was just too weighed down. If I use it on towel-dried hair, it’s a bit better, but still a bit too heavy for my hair. HOWEVER – I WILL be buying this bar again – for my skin!!! After using it on my hair, I realized how soft my hands were! It dries very quickly, my skin doesn’t feel greasy at all, and the difference in my hands was outrageous.

I started putting a little on my seriously dry elbows and after a day, they were nearly healed. This bar is better than any lotion I’ve ever used for my skin. This bar is a keeper. I don’t know if it was intended for the way I’m using it, but I’ll be buying this again – for my skin.

For reference: I have a TON of hair. My individual stands are a fine/medium thickness and my waves are 2a/2b with low porosity! Now for the review: First off, I love the compact and travel friendly nature of this bar.

Butttt there is a downside. after rubbing shea butter on my hands and into my hair, I can’t melt this particular serum bar onto my hands. Any part that gets onto my hands turns into a weird, waxy, pill-y texture in my palms and not a melted oil texture like I would expect.

Maybe it’s some kinda chemical reaction between shea butter and the oils in this bar? In addition, I can’t really use this bar in the typical Curly Girl Method/LOC way. Usually I apply all my styling products when I finish in the shower and my hair is wet.

Sadly this bar just doesn’t melt into my palms when there is water/wetness involved (which I should’ve realized since it’s literally oil, duhhh). I had to revise my routine a bit to where I dry my hands before melting the bar into my palms, or just waiting until my hair is dry to melt and apply the oil.

Either way this works better since the bar doesn’t ever come in contact with any shea butter — which is the product I use for the cream part of my LOC method! All in all it’s still worth it to me to use this bar, since I travel quite a bit and it’s so much easier than carrying liquids.

Just a slight change in routine/product combining :-).

I tried this hair serum on a whim and I am SO glad I did. I love it and use it after every wash. I have tried many different oils and products in the past and this is the only thing that ACTUALLY hydrates my hair and causes a difference in hydration.

And the fact that it is zero waste/ zero plastic makes me so happy! I would so recommend this serum bar. I have thick, straight hair. This product helps not only with moisture but with frizz as well.
