Best straightener ever! Price point is so good. ESP considering it comes with a dust bag, hair clips, and a heat resistant glove! I love that you can choose the exact temp you want. I have fine hair that I bleach regularly, so I keep at around 285-300.
It smooths my hair beautifully and makes it so soft! I use a little coconut oil on the ends before straightening and it’s perfect. It heats up super quick and somehow doesn’t make any weird kinks when I use it, even on my bangs! I highly recommend this!.
This hair straightener works so well. I have bleached curly hair and it only takes one-two swipes before it is fully straight. It has a large range of temperatures for you to choose from. It heats up very quickly.
It also does not leave my hair frizzy by the end of my styling.

Been using cheap straighteners for years and finally decided to splurge after my last one broke, big mistake. I’ve never used a straightener that has damaged my hair this much which is confusing because it advertises a 392 degree temperature but causes more damage than my straighteners that I use at 400+ degrees.
I have clip in extensions that I had to throw away because one pass through this straightener ruined them, like it straight up sizzled them. Worst part, it makes your hair stink! Again, something I’ve never experienced with another straightener.
Chi customer service doesn’t care either. I called because I wanted to let them know that I genuinely think something may be wrong with this straightener or at least the batch it came from and they didn’t even take down the batch number or anything, just said they would look into it but took down no info.
They do have a warranty where you can sent the straightener in with a $15 check and get a replacement but that is such a hassle that I decided to just buy a different straightener from a different brand.
Who has time to send their straightener in the mail and wait for a new one with the additional charge of $15 for a product I already bought? I always heard CHI regraded as the holey grail of hair tools so maybe mine was just defective but it was absolutely awful.
I have been an avid Chi straightener user since as long as I can remember. I’m on my 4th one. I’m over a cpl decades. They last for so long! The Ceramic/tourmaline plates help hair not get frizzy.
And the straighten straightens hair so easily. Some models have temperature controls, the basic just an on off switch. My hair is pretty thick, frizzy and course, my Chi straightener never lets me down! Of course always use heat protectant when heat styling!.
I used to think that metal plates + heat = straightener. The brand didn’t matter. I got my 1st Chi seven or eight years ago and that all changed. With other straighteners. even those from the beauty supply stores.
I have to run it over my wavy hair multiple times to get it straight. With Chi, it’s one pass and done. I don’t know what makes Chi different but it is. Maybe it has to do with heat distribution. I don’t really even care.
I just know that it works. My hair is healthy despite daily use (Chi Iron Guard is great btw) and I straighten my hair in one-third of the time. If you have waves or curls, invest in a good straightener to keep your hair healthy and to save time.
The “original” is a good price and worth every penny. (My old Chi still works! Unfortunately, I didn’t take care of it so there is a lot of baked on product on the plates. I’ve traveled with it, dropped it many times and who knows what my teen has done to it when she used it but it still works.
Keep your plates clean and it will last many years. ).
Nice sleek white and gold design, includes all pieces including directions, cover, comb, never used. Save big on box damage! Retail price is $80! I love the display of the temperature looks like a gold strip until you have it plugged in it will say off.
Then press the power button and it will display the temperature from four choices. Tested for power and heat and is great!.
I bought this item during the Target Black Friday sale. The first iron I received was defective and would automatically turn off as soon as I turned it on. I tried multiple plugs to make sure it was the iron and not the outlet before sending it back.
Target replaced it, although it took a few weeks to receive the new one. I have owned many other brands of irons, most of them considered higher end vs this one. I am impressed with the features this one comes with: electronic temperature control (my GHD does not have this), curved plate edges for curling hair (again my GHD does not have this), additional length of plates accommodating for long hair, and the smoothness of the Titanium plates.
It is packed with features for the price. However, it does not have dual voltage which means I can not travel with it as it won’t convert in other countries to their power type, which is something I general seek out in an iron.
Also, there is something about it that just feels a little flimsy compared to the GHD I am replacing it with, or the Amika I had previously owned, or even the Chi iron I had before that one. I use my iron every day, sometimes multiple times a day for touch ups, and they tend to last me about 2 years (doesn’t matter which brand) before they fizzle out.
I have long wavy hair, that I either straighten or put a curl into depending on how much time I have. I will keep this iron because I only paid $60 for it during the Black Friday sale, but it’s not my favorite of all the irons I have owned and used in the past.
It’s definitely “passable” and worth the $60 price tag however. I’ll be looking to purchase another iron with dual voltage when I am able to start traveling again. This one should get me through until then.
I received a defective hair straightener. Turns on fine, heats up, then if I move the straightener, it also moves the electrical cord of course, then it shuts off immediately. I turn it back on, and try to straighten my hair, again it shuts off immediately.
Manual says that temperature blink until it heats up, which it did, then once a desired temperature is reached, it suppose to be on a few minutes. In my case, I pick up the straightener after it heats up, then it shuts off and cools off quickly!!! Impossible to keep it warm, due to the electrical issue in the cord.
The product was defective. Not happy dealing with re-packing, printing labels, and packaging again. I have a video recording available to proof this issue. I am sure it works, not in my case. Not one star, if possible- there was no choice of 0 star.

I got this in a LF beauty box one month and have only just tried it today. It is AMAZING. I have tried soooo many products before and my hair is always a little frizzy after blowdrying (I use the Revlon brush dryer thing).
I did my hair the exact same way I normally do, but my hair feels like silk and is so straight! For the first time ever, I don’t need to get my straighteners out afterwards! I came back to see how much this stuff is, thinking if it’s this good then it must cost a fortune.
I cannot believe that it’s this cheap! It’s very rare that I ever leave reviews for products, but it’s also very rare that I’m this impressed by something! :).

This amazing hair straightener is ideal for any hair type. Convenient 360? swivel cord Plus, at 9 feet long, the cord allows you to maneuver as you please to create the perfect look, helping make Aplatir an everyday styling staple.
This straightner is so cute, it’s a light pink color! So, it’s got an adjustable temperature wheel, that goes from 140° to 450° so there’s a setting for all hair types and personal preference! It warms up within like 30 seconds.
It displays the L’ange logo down the top. There’s a light to indicate when the straightner is on it’s off when it’s off, then there’s a light that is lit when it’s warming up up to the specific temperature, then that light turns off when it’s to your specific temperature! I do love the 360 cord so it doesn’t get tangled up while getting ready! Also, the cord is a nice long length so that also helps if you happen to get like me and move around and stuff while you are doing your hair! This can give you shiny straight hair or you can curl It or get the flipped ends! It is pretty spendy compared to other straightners and I haven’t noticed anything particularly different with this than other products, so i don’t see any reason to get this one vs one that does all the same things, for a cheaper price.
I’d say your definitely paying for the brand name.
This straightener straightens the hair okay but it wasnt revolutionary to me. There was a lot of hype around this brand on Facebook and Instagram ads so i figured i give it a try when they had a good sale.
I had purchased 59 dollars worth of haircare products and i got this straightener and one of their curling wands. So it was a good deal and the curling tool works great but this product just didnt do much for my hair.
Its straightens but not the best, my hair didnt look as sleek as it has with other tools. So i went back to my old striaghtner that ive had for over 6 years! Id love to find my holy grail hair straightener soon! I just wasnt super impressed.
Oh my lord. I have been using the same hair straightener for two years now. My hair is naturally super frizzy and wavy. This hair straightener does the job perfectly by keeping my hair looking silky and healthy when I straighten it but also Pin straight.
Not only does it make my hair pin straight, but it KEEPS my hair pins straight. That’s really something you should be looking for and a hair straightener is one that will not only straighten your hair but keep your hair straight.
Lots of cheap hair straighteners really won’t have the same affect of keeping your hair straight all day. This is definitely one I recommend investing in!.

This is my 3rd purchase of the Infiniti Pro in about 8 years, at least a very similar model. Previous irons were purple and this one is sort of metallic grey, but otherwise it’s the same. This iron straightens well and glides very smoothly through hair without pulling.
I like that you can adjust the setting from 1 to 30 depending on your needs. Its reasonable price makes me not mind that after about 4 years it doesn’t heat up quite right anymore so I have to buy a new one.
And actually my most recent one before this still works though not as well, so I’ve given it to my daughter.
I love it. It leaves my hair straight and doesn’t damage or pull with a heat protecting spray. It has different heat settings. It heats up fast. I have fine hair and most hair tools do more damage to my hair because I use a higher heat settings so it is will hold longer.
I don’t have that problem with this. The price is amazing. $40. It is worth trying for that. It’s the best value I’ve came across for my money.
Not my favorite but the only one I own at the moment. I have natural red hair that is straight but with a little bit of waves. So I like to straighten my hair and get any frizzy, or poofy flyaways gone.
This heats up very quickly. I would probably not purchase this again. I want one that can be used with wet or dry hair, and one that is wider. I always seem to loose so much hair whenever I use this straightener.
I see my poor hairs on the floor. The only reason I would recommend this one is for beginners or someone who is looking for a cheap, affordable model.
Features ceramic plates with titanium protection coating that heat up fast, create a smooth glide, and reduce static and frizz. The long 1″ plates are perfect for straightening or curling. The digital controls with Lcd screen make it easy for you to find the right temperature for your hair from a range of six heat settings from 310°F to 410°F.
i used it once, to which i experienced difficulty trying to turn the device on. in terms of styling, it left weird angles on my hair no matter how much i tried to keep the straightner even with the rest of my head.
it also pulled on my hair and felt like it was taking a few strands with every pass. i tried to use it again a few days later. i hadn’t stored it improperly or wrapped up the wire too tight, it was safe and left in a dry, open area; yet no matter where i tried to plug it into, the device would not turn on.
it doesn’t work at all now. i’m going to try and return it, this was really disappointing but i guess it makes sense for the quality/price.
I have been using this flat iron consistently over the last couple of weeks, and here are my thoughts and views on the product, itself, and how it performs. My hair is rather thick and naturally wavy and it rarely ever just does what I want it to do.
It requires high heat and styling tools and products if I am trying to achieve a sleek and straight look. With this flat iron alone, I have not been able to achieve that look. I feel that 410 degrees is just not a heat may possibly not be high enough heat for the texture of my hair.
I also had a hard time reading the digital temperature setting. I think it would help to have a backlight with this setting. Upon receiving this product, I noticed it had a very new smell. that of a product which was brand new and had never been used.
The flat iron smells somewhat like burnt plastic when it is first turned on and I did smell it several times after the first use. I don’t smell it anymore though and it wasn’t that bothersome to me. I just associated that smell with it being brand new and recently manufactured.
In all fairness, I think that this is a pretty good product when compared to others in the same pricing bracket. It’s a good value for the price. I have been a long time user of Remington styling tools and have had favorable experiences with all of those which I have ever owned and used.
This particular model may have not been my favorite, but it was not at all a bad product. I would recommend it to others. It just wasn’t the best model for my particular hair type.
Horrible smell! My hair smelled like burned hair at a salon all day, even after washing, conditioning, and 1 more wash! This only goes down to 310! I am returning tomorrow. So sad. It makes a great curl, but the smell is horrible.
It does not straighten curly ends well, it fries them!.
That means reduced frizz and smooth, shiny looking tresses. Rounded edges and precision floating plates create versatile styling that make creating pin straight styles or soft waves quick, easy, and painless.
Plates glide through the hair with zero snagging or damage. Best for all hair types. Heat protectant recommended. Titanium 6′ power swivel cord.
I absolutely cried when I broke my flat iron I’d had for 8yrs that was $250. I honestly couldn’t imagine spend that much again…till I found this famed beauty! Not even close to $250 and I am in love with the digital display on the outside with inside button adjustments.
It slides right throw my hair. My last flat iron was more rounded which allowed me to curl my hair. I wasn’t sure if this could do the same…but let me assure you, it did and much more. It heats quickly and has a very thick cord which is great so it doesn’t kink the wires when you wrap up the cord.
By the way!!! It also automatically shuts off if you forget to unplug it…which I realized when I was already at work. Came home and it was off 🙂 I am beyond impressed and will definitely revisit Lange’ for other hair tools! Thank you for being my saving grace when my flat iron broke! 💕.
I had the same straightener for a little over 10 years when the cord started shorting. I knew exactly what I wanted when it was time to purchase a new one. I had been watching the Lange videos for a couple of years and never made a purchase yet (I’m a procrastinator) if you are too.
don’t wait! It’s a great product! I ordered 3 things but this straightener was the first thing in my basket. With my old straightener I always had to turn it all the way up above 400. with this one 340 is plenty, I could probably do less tbh.
The only con is that it kind of pulls my hair when straightening, not all of it but 1 or 2 pieces at a time. This could be me doing something wrong though. Going to start brushing my hair more before running the straightener over it.
I have had the same flat iron for 10 years until it finally broke. I researched and was willing to pay decent money for a good one. Reviews looked great and I have the Le Volume Brush Dryer and like it so figured the flat iron would be good too.
I was so excited to use it but quickly found that it does not work well on my hair. It does heat up quickly which is a plus and had a nice long cord it just doesn’t work well on my thick, wavy hair. My daughter tried it as well and her hair is thinner and quite straight.
She didn’t feel that it straightened well either. She had to take it over her hair multiple times to get the desired straightness and even then it wasn’t as good as it could be. Over all not worth money in my book.
Simplicity meets technology in the L’ange Le Duo 360° Airflow Titanium Styler! This lightweight, ergonomic styler lets you create and set a variety of long-lasting looks with a single tool. It features an easy-to-use clip, adjustable temperature range, and floating 1” titanium plates and rounded edges that help you create curls, waves, and sleek styles.
It’s also studded with tiny air vents along the barrel that instantly cool and set your style! Designed for all hair types and lengths, Le Duo is preferred by those with shoulder length hair or shorter.
Short report: Its simple but gets hot quick and stays hot, the features work well, great for short hair but you need the longer one for long hair, expect a tiny learning curve but it is worth it. Full report: My stylist recommended this brand to me and I am a fan.
This tool was exactly what I needed- it heats up fast and stays hot, the outside stays cool thanks to the fan (low risk of burning myself major ++), the cord is long and thick, the tool itself weighs next to nothing, and it is under $100.
I have short hair for the first time in forever so my ancient tools needed an update and this thing was perfect- it replaced a straightener and my wide curling iron and let me splurge on a hair dryer (which is what matters most imho).
THE GOOD: It is basically a solid hair straightener with a cool blast feature. This feature ‘sets’ the curl or wave immediately, letting you pin it or leave it hanging without burning yourself or getting your neck all sweaty.
You can curl tighter or looser depending on your movement, bump or flip ends, and quickly tame cowlicks and bangs. Thats it. Its simple but works!. if you know what you are doing. If you are used to curling with a straight iron then this will feel amazing but if not then there is like a 20 min learning curve but it is worth it! (and honestly applies to all straighteners so learn once and do forever) -It is a perfectly neutral pink, not a huge eye sore -it is sooooo light, I never thought I would care but I realized I could do my whole hair without needing to give my wrists a break -It heats up quickly and automatically shuts off after a certain time THE BAD: HOWEVER.
If you have LONG HAIR aka PAST YOUR SHOULDERS (and, like me, have a lot of it) then do NOT get this tool. this guy would’ve been useless to me a month ago when my hair was past my chest. Maybe if your hair is fine or you don’t have much then ok BUT FEAR NOT- They sell a longer version on their website, I will upgrade to that one when I get there and this one will transition to live on as my travel tool.
Love this lil guy. -The iron doesnt open very wide, which I admit my older tool probably had a hinge issue, but I wish this opened wider to feed hair easier (also why this isnt a good match for long thicker hair) THE THINGS OF NOTE, but ok it at this price point: The two buttons are sensitive and their size and position is right where I tend to place my hand when rotating it.
I’m learning my way around it, but can throw you off. (Maybe its my hands? I wear size medium winter gloves. ?) -The fan does make noise, but it is not very loud and you can turn it on and off. I actually love it.
it reminds my clumsy self that a hot tool is there and to turn it off. -Please at least skim the manual to read about cleaning and maintaining it, its easy and will make sure your money was well spent.
I totally don’t understand all the bad reviews for this bad boy! I want to preface by stating that I am not great with hair – I don’t watch YouTube videos or tutorials, and if something isn’t easy, it simply won’t get used.
My hair is shoulder length, wavy and thick – I’ve got A LOT of hair. I bought this because I was looking for a great combo tool – that can curl and straighten – to keep in my suitcase (I travel for work a lot).
I’ve tried curling with my straightener but can’t seem to master it, and I don’t want to pack both a wand and a straightener in my carry-on. I just got the Le Duo, and so far I am SUPER impressed! I’m glad I didn’t read into all the negative reviews! – this is easy to use.
Something about the clamp action makes it easier to curl than my straightener – it heats up quickly – it does seem that the fan adds to the curl, but you can turn this off if preferred – I haven’t yet hit the buttons like some reviews mention – they’re a tad bit recessed and just haven’t had this issue – I will update my review if this happens bc I can see how that would be annoying – I also tested with zero product in super oily hair, so I can’t wait to try when my hair is cleaner + product! I think this will only get better Anyway, just my $.
02 – if I love it, I’ll likely be purchasing a second one for my everyday use!.
I saw this on a Facebook live and was super interested in how quickly it curled the girls hair. Once it arrived, the packaging was SO PRETTY & it was delivered in a nice case with the tool ready to go.
I did need to read instructions because it doesn’t curl how I am used to using a curling iron or a straightener. but omgeeee once I rquickly read the how to, I was using it within minutes & it allowed me to create big bou Cy curls as well as tighter curls in my wavy (not cute waves) hair! It can also be used as a straightener! I am still so amazed when I use this because I don’t have burns on my scalp or hands, nor do I see smoke coming off my hair when using this tool!! I usually apply my heat protectant anyways, although it doesn’t get hot in the same way as my hair does with other hot tools.
I would recommend this tool 10/10 to friends, followers on social media & any hairdresser out there! Such beautiful curls so quickly without any damage done. I’d def suggest getting this version with the fan to keep the tool and your hair cooler than normal.
It DOES NOT interfere with the curling ability or cause the curls to fade quickly. I use a great flexible hold lightweight hair polish when finished & those curls are LOCKED IN! Go get this now, it’s worth every single penny!.
You can get professional style results in your own home with the Remington Pearl Pro Straightener. The Pearl Pro is a professional quality straightener. The 1 ceramic plates have real pearl infused into them for a smooth glide that provides even, ionic heat to reduce frizz and damage.
This straightener heats up to 400 F in a quick 30 seconds, to provide you with a quick and easy way to straighten your hair. It features easy to read digital display and controls.
I love this Flat Iron. I have wavy hair that has a lot of volume when dried. I have owned many of the more expensive “Salon Quality” flat irons, and Remington makes the best in my opinion. Before purchasing this one, I had my previous Remington (purchased from Target of course) for 6 years before it just wasn’t heating up or straightening my hair as good as it used to.
This flat iron does not leave creases and does not pull my hair. It’s fantastic.
Breaks in about 6-8 months! I’m on my third one of these. I keep going back because it’s affordable, works really well (AT FIRST) and then it literally just stops getting hot in about 6 months for some reason or another.
I wish they would fox this because it’s a great straightener for the price! Also- my straightener is like my life line LOL I use it everyday. so part of the reason I’m on my third is because when it unexpectedly breaks on me, I have no choice but to run to my target and grab it again.
So I bought this because I have a “foxy bae” straightener currently. Really REALLY HATE IT, but I spent over $50 on it so I was like, ugh I need a new one but I don’t want to spend a lot of money. I bought this on Amazon for $30 And holy balls it’s amazing and I love it.
Reminds me of the Paul Mitchell straightener I had prior. I would 100% recommend. I use it for curling because I have naturally straight hair. Lol sorry for the contradiction.
Diminish frizz and flyaways while boosting style control with the Remington S5500 Anti-Static Digital Ceramic 1″ Flat Iron. It eliminates static charge by actively promoting a neutral electrical balance in the hair during styling.
To help save you waiting time, it heats up in 30 seconds and can reach a temperature of up to 410 degrees Fahrenheit. This professional-grade ceramic plate flat iron features precision digital controls with temperature lock to give you smooth and silky hair.
Its long, salon-length swivel cord offers enhanced maneuverability so you can move around a bit without worrying about tangles. The Remington Digital Anti Static Ceramic hair straightener features long, ceramic plates that allow for less damage, as well as floating plates that allow for easy glide.
It is also equipped with a turbo boost feature, a hinge lock and a one-hour auto shutoff for added convenience.
Best flat iron i have ever used. i use it to curl my hair. I can get various types of curls, tight curls, loose curls or just waves. Love this product!!! And anti-static technology really works. And it heats up very fast and goes up to 450°.
I use 370° and it works great. I can curl my whole head in 15 mins. Incredible hail tool❣️.
I’ve been flat ironing my hair for several years. I have natural curly hair. (Mix of 3b/3c type) I’ve used chi, and different flat iron brands. My favorite was corioliss until it broke and I saw this flat iron at ulta.
It was under $100 which was my main reason of getting this. It works really well, doesn’t burn my hair, there’s a few heat settings on it already. After using this My hair is straight straight, not that puff/ poofy straight, I’m talking Dominican blow out straight after using this flat iron.
Day 3 and I still look like I have that silky fresh out of the salon hair. If you want to make the most out of this flat iron make sure your hair prep is consistent. How you prep your hair first before flat ironing is how you get your best results.
After my Chi died I needed to replace. I have thick, wavy, long and color treated hair. So yes, it looks crazy wild after washed. I decided to treat myself and my hair. Bought GHD gold. It took so many passes and took forever to style.
When finished my hair felt rough and dry. Then I tried the Kristin Ess porcelain ceramic. Wow! Perfect! My hair isn’t poofy or rough. Very soft and smooth. The Kristin Ess feels higher quality at half the price.
Also 4 heat settings. I did the 415 degree (use heat protection) and it was so easy. Better glide, better style, better to the touch. This iron delivered amazing results. Also super easy to use for curls or bends.
Now that I use a flat iron 3-4 times per week, I thought it was time to upgrade from my $30 iron. I’ve loved the hair products from this range, so I thought I’d give the this flat iron a try. I’ll admit that I was skeptical that 3x the price would make 3x the difference.
but honestly, it did! My hair is much shinier and smoother with this iron. I also love the automatic shut-off feature (no more asking my partner to double check, or worrying all day until I can get home).
The temperature settings are easy to change, and it maintains temperature between passes through my hair so everything is styled evenly. It also comes with a slide-on cover which keeps the iron closed, so I don’t have to wrap the power cord around it anymore and i know the heat plates are protected while traveling.
Aesthetically, the digital screen is sleek and the velvet-touch black finish feels very luxe. (Even my partner commented on how fancy it looked!) Will definitely go the Kristin Ess route when I need to replace other hair tools!.
The Brush Crush quickly achieves smooth, straight hair in one easy step with the heat of a flat iron in the structure of a paddle brush. It includes ionic technology that seals the cuticle for less frizz and tonnes of shine while styling.
Digital temperature control allows for custom styling on all hair types.
I purchased this 50 percent off during an Ulta promotion. If I would have paid full price and it wasn’t such a hassle and hazard to return, I would have done so. I am very glad I kept it and fall in love more and more each day.
Pros: 1. So much more relaxing to straighten brushing than a straightening iron. It’s literally theraputic and now and I love the act of smoothing and straightening my hair. 2. Less damage to my ends.
3. When you get the hang of it you can add lift, curves, and volume. 4. Doesn’t burn my scalp if I get close to shape and build volume. 5. My hair looks naturally straighter. not stick straight and smoother when product is used prior.
Cons: 1. The bristles warped on the first use. 2. My hair was frizzy within 20 minutes without a silicone based product and heavy leave in moisturizer. It helped to add an oil post straightening and twist it into a bun in a “cool down” setting phase.
Yet this left my hair with curly ends. 3. This is not meant for going from super curly to super straight. Your hair needs to be dry, combed through thoroughly, and executed slowly. 4. I don’t see this working for coils and tight textures.
5. It’s hard to get super close to your roots if you have tight baby curls. Overall, I enjoy it way more than straightening with an iron post blow drying. Combing through, blowing out my roots and air drying is the perfect combo for my 3a-c curls.
It’s a joy to use, lightweight and great post-breaking my elbow.
I use this in tandem with my Single Shot Dry bar round brush blow out dryer. I have naturally lightly wavy hair and this product and the blow dryer replaced a bench full of hair appliances by T3. Far superior product to the T3 version and about $30/40 less.
The review photos others posted sold me on the product. i bought mine at nordstrom store, it’s returnable there, but if you purchase rack version double shot it’s final sale. (same price btw). i finished with my mini straightening brush.
It finishes last frizz and sets the style in place. i highly recommend both products. tossed my T3 products and my calista took for curling my hair.
I bought this after my straightener died. The sales person said they literally use it like a regular brush. Perhaps my hair is thicker, but if I do that, I have to go over every section about 5 times.
What worked for me was sectioning my hair into layers, then flipping the brush so the flat part is against my head and pulling it slowly through (kind of like if you were using a round brush). It was much slower to use than a traditional straightener, but it didn’t rip my hair out in the same way, so that was a bonus.
The actual bristles are in two parts and most of the tips of mine have fallen off, making using it very uncomfortable. You are also limited to only straightening as there is no way to use this to curl or give waves.

I think I’m going to really like this. Have only used once so far – and there will be a short learning curve for me to dry everything in the right direction. Had my doubts as I started, but hair came out really soft and smoothed.
Unsure it will entirely replace the flat iron for some (hence 4-stars), but it will def. cut down the time. I have very thin straight hair to begin with, but going gray, so hair is now textured & looks frizzy.
This did a good job smoothing most of it out. Hair looked fabulous the next morning & did not need the flat iron. I don’t think the titanium plates themselves have a heating element – I believe it’s the hot air that heats the plates – but do get very hot.
It does pull as some have said, but lift up slightly on the handle towards your ends & pulling will minimize. Not gifted – bought myself, and I think it’s going to be a keeper.
I am a Drybar nut when it comes to their tools! I have so many, and honestly did not need another dryer or straightener. However, I ordered it anyway and love it! I have fine naturally wavy hair, and I like to wear it straight.
My biggest complaint about my hair is it frizzes in humid weather and in the south, that’s about 10 months out of the year. This was easy to use. I would recommend slightly drying your hair with your blow dryer first, or let it air dry for a bit, then use it.
I wouldn’t use it on soaking wet hair, I think it would take a long time to get it dry that way. But for a finishing and styling tool on slightly damp hair – works fantastic! My hair looked like I left the salon!.
Gifted by Drybar and after trying it, I would not recommend it. I have 3b curly hair and this item left my hair very frizzy. I put on my heat protectant, and everything. usually do to take care of my hair before applying heat.
I sectioned my hair off and only did one part. My hairs were getting ripped off by the flat iron too. I think this would work with people with straight hair or thin wavy hair. It also gives no volume or shape to your hair.
So only if you want a very straight look. Hope this helped.
A high-performance, lightweight heat spray offers 3 day sleek hair plus 450 degree heat protection for an ideal sleek look. Specially formulated to work with any heat styling tool, this unique formula not only helps protect from heat damage, but calms frizz, seals in shine, blocks humidity and conditions for a sleek style that lasts 3 days.
It boosts style endurance. A workable, holding matrix that locks style strand by strand.
Really like it! In contrast to what some reviewers are saying about this product being too oily, I find it perfect for someone like me who’s here usually gets too dried out. It isn’t perfect, but it’s definitely protecting my hair from all the heat I use (and trust me I use a lot to blow out/straighten) as well as the color.
In the past I’ve had trouble with hair being too frizzy and not straightening properly, but this does help. It even helps just touch up frizzies by spraying it directly on the brush and combing it through for a touch up later in the day, which I do need but not everybody does.
It even works on days I choose not to blow out my hair and just go for a crunched look by spraying it into my hands and then rubbing it through. I do agree with others however when saying if it gets on the floor it will be a little slippery so clean it up right away.
I definitely recommend this product! It’s less than $5 and typically lasts me at least a month.
I recently grabbed this product at Walmart because they didn’t have the Tresemme heat protector I normally get in stock. I think this product lives up to the sleek it name. I have wavy hair that gets frizzy easily.
Also, most of the time if I flat iron my hair one day the next morning my ends have decided to go back to wavy instead of straight. I have used this product a few times now and I love it. It does tame the frizz, even when I’ve been outside in the humid weather.
Plus, my hair stays straight, I haven’t woken up to it going wavy overnight. I do spray this pretty generously on each section of hair before I flat iron the hair. I don’t find that it weighs my hair down despite the amount I use.
Also it smells nice and the smell is not overwhelming or strong, at least not in my opinion.
I saw a mix of reviews so I wasn’t sure what to expect from this product. Let me preface this review by saying, I have long fine hair but A LOT of it. It gets tangled easily and I get split ends easily.
I used it for the first time and was pleasantly surprised with the smell first off, it’s light and not overpowering. The product is kind of oily but not heavy, so it will sit on top of surfaces. It went on light and my hair still felt clean, I straightened it and so far so good.
I typically brush my hair a dozen times a day because again it’s fine and gets stringy looking. So far out of habit I brushed my hair and there were almost no tangles. And it didn’t look stringy. I’m pretty happy with this product.
Is it the best out there? Probably not. But for the price, I think it’s great.

This is an honest review. I read all the raving reviews and got this after much research and no this not a good straightener (so i have returned it). I have coarse hair that go a little above my elbows.
It took me many passes to straighten my hair on the 450 heat. It did straighten my hair but not as well as i wanted and definitely not the ends. This is the part that bothered me the most. After straightening, my hair felt coarse and fried.
I always deep condition and use heat protectant before straightening. But no matter what i did this just made my hair feel very dry and fried after straightening. I had to use the highest heat setting because it was not straightening my hair on lower settings.
Very very disappointed. Used it twice because since I really wanted to like this i wanted to believe i was wrong. Sadly I wasnt 🙁 got this a week ago and now returning. It did glide on the hair and did somewhat straighten the hair (not the ends though- they looked very bad) hence two stars for that.
I have used remington flatirons all my life but this was a huge disappointment.
I have long, frizzy, color-treated hair so I wasn’t certain that this flat iron would be able to work on my hair because most of the time, the mainstream flat irons don’t work for me. I must say that I ended up being very pleasantly surprised.
It exceeded my expectations and I am thrilled to find a more cost efficient flat iron that actually works well on my hair. As for the flat iron itself, this thing heats up super quickly. I have had flat irons that you have to leave and come back to later in order for them to be the right temperature.
This one was ready to use in no time at all. The package says that it heats up in 15 seconds and that is very accurate. There is no wait time at all with it. You basically plug it in, set it to the desired temperature and it’s ready to go.
I had a bit of a hard time trying to determine the correct temperature for my hair. My hair is color treated and the instructions say to use it at 340-380 degrees. However, it is very thick and frizzy and it says that thick hair should be used at temps of 400-450 degrees.
I decided to use it at 400 degrees and that really worked for my hair without making it feel like it was burning it. I love the digital temp that tells you the exact degree of heat that you are using on your hair.
The 1″ is small but I found that it was easy to use once you separate your hair into sections. I didn’t have to keep going over my hair. I would use it once and it was done for that section. I did notice that the tool didn’t seem to clamp down on my hair very much.
It was not tight when pulling it down my hair. I guess that doesn’t make a huge difference but I’m more used to using one that really clamps down on your hair. There is an automatic shutoff mechanism that will turn off the appliance after 1 hour.
I like this and have not attempted to leave it on one hour to see if it works or not but I like having this safety feature as peace of mind in case I do ever forget to unplug it. The plates are supposed to be made with real crushed pearls.
I don’t know what all that means but I can honestly say that it really did straighten and smooth my hair. Remember, my hair is very frizzy and thick and after using the flat iron, my hair was so smooth and silky that I could hardly keep my hands from touching it.
It made my hair look so much nicer and it lasted throughout the next day until I washed it. I would say to do a really thorough job, it took me about 10 minutes to straighten it which is pretty fast in my opinion.
All in all, I highly recommend this flat iron and would recommend it to anyone that desires silky, smooth hair.
The BaBylissPRO Prima Titanium Flat Iron has a built-in ceramic heater so it gets hot instantly. and stays hot. Maintaining precise temperatures for uninterrupted, consistent heat creating long-lasting style.
This flat iron heats quickly up to 450° F. The stainless steel housing around the plates also heats up, making this iron perfect for adding soft waves or perfect curls.
In need of a new flat iron, I was reviewing in my mind all the various heated hairstyling tools I have owned over the years. Not a single one was memorable except for a BabyLiss iron that was of superior quality that went missing during a move.
Hoping to replicate that experience I took the plunge on this somewhat expensive model which proved exceptional in its performance. It saves so much time by heating up in a jiffy and requiring fewer passes through the hair, yet not singing my baby-fine and persistently wavy locks.
The outer metal casing and curved blades prevent unwanted dents and ridges, leaving the final appearance smooth and glossy. The safety end caps are easy to grip which is not the norm for many tools. It’s features were exactly what I was looking for.
This iron is perfect! I have thin hair but have been told I have a lot of thin hair. ? My hair is very wavy when air dried. I always blow dry it out and it straightens it pretty well but still have waves.
I first put it on 400 and it did a fabulous job. My hair was straight and I could still curve it under without a crimp. I also highlight blond in it regularly and it still made it silky and shiny, I love it!! Definitely recommend unless you have very thin dry hair.
Other Bio Ionic flat irons are safe to use. You can use the Bio Ionic Retex System to achieve various degrees of results: from just eliminating frizz and maintaining your waves, to getting your hair super straight.
My hair stylist used this in the past on my hair but can no longer get it locally. Last year, we tried another product and it did not straighten my hair at all. We ended up doing a reverse perm. That worked, but not as well as the BioIonic and it did not last as long.
I found this on ebay and purchased it for my latest straightening. Great results-almost too straight! Just beware, make sure you do not color or use any other chemicals on your hair about 10 days before you use this product.
I colored my hair once before the straightening and the hair on the top of my head broke off. What a mess, nothing like having little hairs sticking straight up out the top of your head! Also, a lot of people said that the smell was only bad on the first step.
I think the smell is horrible on both steps and for the next 72 hours when you can not wash it. May be very hard for those that are very sensitive to smell. Takes a couple of washings to no longer smell the formula.
Bio iconic retex: I am Indian, mid back thin hair. Tight Waves but not curly. Only hair near my temples and ear has a single tight curl and then rest of it is wavy. Never colored but have been professionally relaxing/straightening them for 7-8 years ( once a year ) I got a Coppola keratin treatment professionally done at a really fancy place one month ago and it didn’t do anything to my frizz or smoothen my hair texture even a little bit.
It probably added a little shine which last for 3 washes! The entire keratin look faded in two weeks. I don’t know how or why. I washed it after 3 days on the fourth day and used sulphate free shampoo and conditioner.
I gave up and just decided to do this at home because I spent my entire paycheck 300$ on the keratin treatment and got nothing. I also don’t know how to section my hair or flat iron my hair at the nape of my neck and behind.
i usually just do the sides and the hair that frames around my face. I shampooed and applied a John Frieda heat protection hair spray on the last two inches of my hair(edges). I applied cream 1. I struggled with the sectioning so just put the products avoiding my skull.
I didn’t put it on the ends about 2 inches. i kept it for 25 min and applied the product on my ends and near my ear and temple and kept it for one min and showered. I didn’t want to fry my ends. I know they get really fried even when I flat iron them! I blow dried using my hands and a paddle brush.
I applied John Frieda spray again on the ends and flat ironed it. I struggled with the sectioning just did my best and somehow got done and made sure to flat iron hair framing my face. It wasn’t poker straight it wasn’t a good iron.
I couldn’t do it I really tried but couldn’t. I used her styler flat iron (25$) I didn’t use it on highest setting(500) because when I did it sounded like it fried my hair so I used it at 250. I applied neutralizer for exactly 9 min on a timer application 4 min and left it for 5.
Washed and blow dried. It looked pretty straight almost 90% of my waves were gone. I did flat iron the hair near my face just to make sure! Final result for someone who doesn’t know how to section hair or flat iron properly was pretty damn amazing.
It took me one hour and 7 minutes total. It didn’t smell weird I just used it in my bathroom and it didn’t make my eyes water. They look really good and have a little shine, didn’t fry my ends, and it’s strange but they feel so natural.
It’s not poker straight like professionals do but I blame my flat iron skills for that. They are very straight and very natural and I didn’t lose any volume which is pretty cool. Definitely give it a try.
Even if you don’t have any one to help you. I managed it on my own and the results are great. Trust me you will be fine. Total cost was 55$ for retex 30$ and ceramic her styler flat iron for 25$.
If you are like me, you are reading this wondering if you should buy it or not. I am telling you to place that item in the cart! I have naturally tight curls. I am Italian, my hair is not coarse, it is super soft and springy but my gosh is it ugly.
I technically had virgin hair because I have not touched it with hair dye in 2 years. I straightened my hair after every shower so I had breakage on the ends. ( my hair was not salon perfect). I used this and only these 2 bottles and it turned my hair absolutely straight.
My suggestion is to use a blow dryer while the first cream is sitting in your hair. Test your hair first and then see how much damage it leaves if any at all. this product made my hair more soft, shiny and life like.
So everyone is different. I can say I would see this doing some damage if your hair is constantly being dyed. Best of luck!.

I got this flat iron because it was on sale and I love a good deal. I was hoping that it would straighten my hair without pulling it, which it totally does, except because it’s so slippery it glides through so quickly it doesn’t do a consistent job getting it straight.
If the hair doesn’t go in perfectly then it will straighten just the top and the under piece doesn’t get straightened because it’s so quick. If that makes sense. So you have to run it through multiple times which is frustrating.
So it’s just okay for me. I’ve kept using my other flat iron because turns out I like it better and does a better job faster. However I will say the quality of this flat iron is very durable. It feels really nice and components are good quality.
This was my second purchase of this particular flatiron. I loved the first one and continue to use it. That is why I ordered a second one. However I have never used the second one because the temperature doesn’t go further than 220.
I tried calling and the message said you were not taking any calls at this time due to Covid. Then I emailed you about my situation a week ago and I have yet to get a response. Very disappointed !.

The temperature control allows you to adjust the heat to your comfort level. Styling your hair just got a lot easier.
I was able to score one of these for under retail price, and it is amazing! I have had a Chi for like 6 years and I actually prefer this straightener. It heats up quickly, has a nice soft coating so it’s easy to grip and hold, has an adjustable temp, and it’s cord swivels so it is really easy to maneuver.
I have thick, frizzy, curly hair and this made it look like I had nice normal straight hair. It is wonderful! It also comes with a lifetime warranty. There are only a couple of minor things that bug me a tiny bit.
One is that it pulls on your hair a little bit, but every straightener I’ve used does that to some degree. Also it falls over on its side really easily when you set it down. I have granite countertops so it doesn’t matter, but I could see it becoming more of a problem if I didn’t have granite in my bathroom.
I recommend this straightener for sure! I would repurchase it, but won’t have to since it had a lifetime warranty 😉.
Good story for you all: I got sucked into a mall kiosk for this product. The woman sat me down and styled my entire head for free with the straightener. At the end of that, she finally dropped the price on me.
$200-300? Yeah, in your dreams lady. After suckering her up for about 20 minutes, I ended up getting a discount and it came out to $100. BARGAIN. I bought it, and I haven’t loved something more. This straightener works quickly and very well.
It heats up fast and gets my hair poker straight in a short amount of time. I also use this to curl my hair because I don’t like the look of normal curler-type curls and it’s great. I’m glad I finessed that lady because I would have still been using cheap, crappy metal plates on my head!.
