20 Best Pomade For Men’S Curly Hair (2023 Updated)

The product did not hold my hair as effectively as I hoped. I have short hair and not very thick. The sheen seemed greasy to me. There are other products that work better for me.

I’ve been using L’ange for over a year, this is the first thing I received that I don’t like. I waited a long time to get it because it was on back order. I’m glad that at least I didn’t pay full price.

I used a very small amount and my hair was stiff and greasy. I wanted to wash my hair right away, although I resisted, but by the next day I couldn’t not wash it. I bought it to tame flyaways, which it took care of, along with making my hair feel like cement.

My hair is thin and fine, so maybe it works better on a different type of hair.

I like the shaping capability that a pomade offers. I use Dax and Murray’s usually when my hair is under 1 inch. I have wavy curly hair so now that my hair is growing longer I need a softer pomade like sportin waves.

I wash my hair every day and apply sportin waves in my hair while it is still damp. I just put a dime or quarter size ammount in my palms and rub together and then apply to my hair like shampoo. After a doing this a couple of times I’m all done and left with managable hair.

This product takes care of dry frizzy type of hair. EXCELLENT, especially if you are growing your hair out and don’t want to slick it down completely.

I’ve paid 20$ for some name brand pomades i bought this one bc i forgot to packs mines when i was traveling for work. This pomade is so good better then any name brand pomade i have used. It has a great hold nice shine and smells amazing.

So worth the money this is my new daily pomade.

This product was just too watery for me and didnt go on the way I wouldve liked. My hair prefers products that are similar to lotion in consistency. It does smell good like all the products in this Mens line.

I am an avid Cantu user. It is one of my favorite brands. It hits perfectly fits all the standards I set for all my hair products. It smells, feels, and looks awesome. It leaves me with soft curls styled to the T.

I am looking for new hair care and styling products for my thick curly hair. I have tried a few Cantu Shea Butter Cream Pomade. I like how this product worked, I wish I could find this product with a more unisex scent.

It is thick and creamy, and moisturizes and offers me the control and styling that I need for my type of curly hair.

I love this brand and they have some of the best pomades and pastes. They always have a very masculine scent as well. I bit more pricey than your average pomade but it’s got great hold and creates great texture.

Paul Mitchell has been an industry leader and innovator for decades, and although this hair pomade is a classic product, it still outperforms most other pomades on the market. The scent, texture, and workability are all pleasant.

I use this to style a multitude of men’s hair that I cut.

This is a good product that keeps your hair coiffed without the dreaded crackly helmet-head. While the hold is not very strong (there are other products in the Old Spice line that are better suited for willful hair), it’s perfect for gently coercing your hair into a neat look.

I typically use it right after the shower when my hair is wet as that seems to work the best for me. Smell-wise, I’ll admit it’s not my favorite. I haven’t found it comparable to any of the other smells in the Old Spice line-up but it’s alright.

I’ve been told it smells great by others though. The one downside I’ve discovered while using this is it tends to dry out my hair pretty badly. As a result I am planning to try another brand (Tea Tree or Bed Head have been recommended to me) but if the issue persists with other pastes I’ll probably come back to Old Spice Spiffy.

I have used the American Crew Fiber and Pomade. This product, the “Forming Cream” I would describe as the middle, the perfect balance. My hair is thick, somewhat coarse, yet soft. I wear my hair short, almost like a buzz and usually let it grow longer so that I can comb it over (by longer I’m talking 4-5 inches on the top, sometimes more).

What I didn’t like about Fiber is that it can be too clay like and usually made my hair too stiff. I found fiber to work best the shorter my hair was, but even then it was a super strong and stiff hold.

It was actually working as intended, but not to my liking. What I didn’t like about Pomade was the high shine and depending on how much used, greasy feel to my hair. And once again, you buy Pomade for the shine, so working as intended but not to my liking.

Don’t get me wrong, there are a TON of awesome hair gel products on the market today. However, as a male, I find myself running into the same few issues. 1. ) Yes, I have thick, Italian hair, but, as a male, I don’t quite need “concrete hold.

” Give us some variety! 2. ) I’m often able to find a decent “hold” level, but I’d simply like to smell like something other than Floral Grace in the Spring Pastures. 3. ) To bring it all together, we simply NEED a solid degree of hold and need NOT smell like 5W-20.

(That’s a solid NASCAR Cup engine weight, making close to 900 horsepower, in case my “man-card” is in doubt.

I initially got this pomade given that I have longer hair, we all get fly always and I wanted something that wasn’t gel and hardening. It lasts long. However, after a while, it seemed to have dried out even after making sure the container was closed.

Maybe I got unlucky with the one that I’ve purchased and should give it another shot. It is a little tough to spread across your hair without leaving a white streak that you’ll have to continuously massage into your hair until it goes away.

Light smell.

I’ve tried many hair pomades. I can’t say this is the best in the world (haven’t tried all of them) but it’s the best I’ve tried. It’s light, does a great job at all-day hold. presents hair as advertised.

Doesn’t leave my hair feeling greasy or gooey like some do — some I feel like I need to shower before I lay my head on a pillow. not this one. Very satisfied. Would highly recommend. Ordering more. It really doesn’t smell like anything.

not sure if I like the fact it has no smell. or if I would prefer it having a nice scent. Either way, I don’t entirely care. just letting you know if you want scent of any kind this doesn’t have a strong scent.

IšverstiShow in original languageI’ve used Foaming Pommade for years. I order directly from Paul Mitchell because it’s hard to find at retail stores. I use just a little after I blow dry to style my my short fine hair.

It provides shine and mitigates frizzy fly-away hair. Just a little goes a long way. Excellent product.

The product promises to do what it promises to do and they “ain’t lying”!! I use this pomade mostly during the colder months when use the climate control gel and diffuse my hair. Once I’ve done that, I squeeze about a nickel size of the product into my palms, rub my hands together and grab my hair as if I’m going to place it into a ponytail, run my hands to the ends and just hold it there to soak up the product.

It works right away. You suddenly have baby smooth hair, no crunch, and the curls still look great, if not better! Love this product!!.

This product is the best one I have tried having kinky, frizzy hair for 70 years. Application takes time and patience but the results are worth it. Recently moving to Floridas weather conditions this hard working product offers added control to my hair.

Its pricey but for me worth the extra dollars.

I realize that this product is meant for curls, and I do have wavy/slightly curly hair, but I actually use this product after straightening! I found it by accident – I was visiting my mom (she has very curly hair) and used her not-so-great hair straightener which left me with frizz and flyaways.

So then I used her ouidad pomade and my hair looked so great that I bought the product for myself. I use a deva product when wearing my hair wavy/curly, but this stuff is great for keeping straight hair luxurious all day – great body/not flat, shiny, and frizz and flyaway free.

It works great down here in the Washington DC area too, where it is very humid. Therefore I think it would be perfect for everyone!.

I find that this is a white and less waxy texture than the orange wax I was expecting. Perhaps this is great for 360 waves. Seems like a pretty weak product overall. I used to use it back in the day for waves when I wanted to “sleek” my hair into a ponytail but while maintaining wavy hair in the front.

I love this product, the smell is amazing, I’m mainly using it as a moisturizer not to get waves. a little goes a long way. I love that it’s not to greasy and a little goes a long way. mainly for us low hair cut Guys.

It does a great job of bringing out your wave pattern and holding your waves in place. It has a nice decent smell. The only issue I have is that it can be a bit greasy on your hands if you like to rub your hair throughout the day like I do.

When they say a little goes a long way they aren’t exaggerating. My hair is curly and hard to manage. I have medium length hair and a pea size amount of pomade styles my hair all day. The same amount keeps my beard looking full.

When I first opened it I didn’t love the smell in the jar, but once you apply it the smell is pleasant. My hair doesn’t feel dry or damaged after I use it. recommend.

I’ve tried several other hair gels and pomades by far this is one of the best.
