Literally the best Controller I’ve used to date I’ve used many controllers over the years including high end specialty controllers and I can’t think of a single controller that gets as much right as the Switch Pro Controller.

At first glance, its appearance doesn’t make it look like it’s of the highest quality thanks to a very basic shape and not much in the way of immediate standout extras. The moment I picked this up to play a game, however, it became immediately apparent just how high quality this controller actually is.

The material used for the controller is a hard plastic that is neither rough like the base Xbox One controller nor is it glossy like the Wii U Pro Controller. No, it’s a smooth mat finish with a different texture on the handles.

It is extremely pleasant to hold, much like a Dual Shock 4 or a Xbox One Elite Controller. When it comes to the actual inputs, I was shocked to find how much I like the analogs on this controller. The analogs have a very similar shape to the Dual Shock 4 (DS4) analogs and they almost as much pressure as the DS4 analogs.

However, unlike the DS4 they have tread around the edges like the Xbox One (XB1) controller but it’s a lighter amount and the rubber material used is similar to the material used for the Wii U Pro Controller and Gamepad.

This is all good imo. The analogs on the Switch Pro controller essentially have all the pro’s of the gen 8 analogs without any of the cons. When it comes to the buttons, in specific, the face buttons, Nintendo has delivered as expected.

The face buttons protrude just as much as the Wii U Pro controller but are slightly larger and aren’t as loose. They feel great to press and use. The d-pad protrudes the right amount, clicks the right amount, has a great roll, and essentially functions the way I’ve come to expect from high quality Nintendo d-pads.

The other 4 face buttons are much smaller and don’t protrude as much but they’re much easier to press and use then on the Joycons. When it comes to the shoulder buttons, unfortunately, the triggers are still digital buttons like the Wii U Pro controller and Gamepad.

However, much like the Wii U Pro controller, they’re extremely easy to press and comfortable use. They have a really nice feel to them. On the note of comfort, for me, after using the Wii U Pro controller for a significant amount of time and while I do like having the 1 up and 1 down layout design, I found that the Wii U Pro controller was a vastly more comfortable controller experience then any controller before it.

While the Switch Pro controller doesn’t fully match the Wii U Pro controller in the level of comfort, it comes really close. After several long game sessions, I have yet to run into any instances of discomfort or stress on my hands while playing.

That said, because the base molding has such a basic design, the grips don’t mold as well into my palms as the Xbox One controller, DS4 controller, or Wii U Pro controller. This isn’t to say that the grips are inherently bad, but they could benefit from slightly more curves in their shape.

Another issue that arises from the basic molding is the back of the controller is kind of flat. While this does help to an extent because there’s no protruding plastic on the inner part of my middle finger causing discomfort, it also means there’s no plastic to kind of catch the middle finger for better gripping.

I should note, neither issue are major complaints that cause issues with gameplay or comfort, however, I do think the Switch Pro controller could have been even better if the shell was slightly closer to the Wii U Pro controllers.

When it comes to extra features, the controller isn’t as barebones as the Wii U pro controller. Because of this, instead of getting 80 hours of battery life, it gets 40. This is far from bad though. You have no obnoxious lights or useless battery draining features that you can’t turn off like the DS4 and unlike the XB1 controller, it comes with a battery built in.

To add to that, it uses USB type C to charge which, in my opinion, is infinitely better then Micro USB. Unfortunately, like the Wii U Pro controller, it’s still missing a headset jack, which honestly, the Switch, like every other Nintendo system, doesn’t have a robust online system with voice chat taking a center roll.

This may change down the road, though I doubt it will, so I’m not expecting the lack of a headset jack to really mean much. Granted, I do every now and then plug in my headset to just hear the game audio late at night on my PS4 and XB1 to keep the volume low for everybody who’s sleeping.

That said, I can also play the system portably and plug in a headset there, which also works for me though I do understand if somebody who wants to play on the TV only finds this annoying. They’ve added a share button similar to the DS4, which is always cool.

There’s a NFC reader built right into the controller now, which is very good for what Nintendo’s doing thought I have no idea if this will really ever be used outside of what does. Though, I should note, I’ve already used the NFC reader several times.

It also includes the HD Rumble, which is pretty awesome. While the HD rumble is definitely best suited for the Joycons, it still works well in games that support it and use the Pro controller. Overall, while it’s not the absolute perfect controller, it’s one of the best controllers I’ve ever used.

It’s comfortable to hold, comfortable to use, has inputs that work exactly the way I want them to, has no annoyances I wish weren’t there, and has one of the best battery situations I’ve ever seen in an input device.

It feels very premium, even more premium then premium controllers I’ve purchased for other systems. Imo, if you own a Switch, this controller is a must buy. If you’re looking for a controller for PC, you’d be hard pressed to find something better.

The product was what was described. It was a little big on my five year old. He became bored with it shortly and was disappointed that there were two balls but only 1 character.

The belt is really big and will not fit on my son. He is on the smaller side but it probably should adjust to an eight year old size. He loves it anyway just can’t use the belt.

Loved the game! Only concern is, just four things. I found it quite out of place to suddenly introduce the villain of the game towards the very end of the game. It’s much more fun when the villain has already appeared ages ago in the game and the player strives to beat them throughout the journey, alongside a group of lackeys that stop you with an actual evil goal — different to Team Yell since they didn’t exactly have a very “evil” goal.

The post-game story is usually what I am excited and satisfied with after beating the main story, but this time it was not exactly satisfying as it usually was for me. Long-time fans in particular usually look forward to seeing the Looker in the game and it was disappointing to not see him again.

Apart from that in particular, the post game story was too short and could have used some more activities and a storyline that emotionally pulls the player in — I didn’t really feel that when I was playing and trying to beat the two villains in the Post-Game story.

As well as that, it would have been nice to see an introduction of a new character to aid you in the Post game story or a character (that has some loveable traits) who you go up against (rather than the two we got, as to be honest, their designs were.

not likeable. and their personalities weren’t so unique. )And finally, it would have been nice to have had more extras after beating the main story and the post-game story — mainly with npc interactions as many players do enjoy interacting with NPCs after beating the game and completing their various given tasks or talking to them about something interesting.

We did get this in the game but not so much that would have been more fun. And the last thing is — I’d LOVE to be able to bring out my Pokémon out of the ball again, it was an enjoyable feature in Heart Gold and Soul Silver, as well as in Let’s Go! Pikachu and Eevee — it seems to realistically bring one closer with their Pokémon partner.

The Camp feature was fun but this is something I’d like to see making a comeback. Overall though, apart from these, I loved the game, the characters and the gameplay. Only thing is after the Dex Cut, lots more things could have been included that would have perfected the game.

Bought for my nan to give my sister for her birthday and both of them were very pleased. Nan was glad she could get her something she really wanted at such a good price, and my sister was really happy to finally play this game with me.

It wasn’t in the initial packaging which, buying secondhand, was to be expected anyway, but looked good as new regardless when put in a little thin plastic envelope. Arrived well packaged and in good shape, not a divet or dent in sight on the plastic case, and the game ran incredibly smoothly and has since been fine.

Given the usual retail price for this is over 50, the fact that this unpackaged but in perfect condition was only 30 was incredible. Overall, you made my nan happy because she could get this at a decent price, you made my sister happy because she could finally play the most recent installment in a series of games she’s been playing since she was 8 and you’ve made me happy because now I can finally play this game with my sister after waiting to do so for months on end.

As great or better than the original. The new catching mechanic, based on Pokmon GO, is a new addition that takes a little getting used to, but I found myself starting to prefer it once I git the hang of it.

The graphics have been upgraded to 3D and looks as sharp as ever, and the battle animations look great too. The musical score has also been upgraded with modern remakes of the originals. Integration with Pokmon GO, Home, and the Pokball Plus accessory are all welcome additions and each add additional ways to catch, trade, or power up your Pokmon.

The main negatives are some UI and quality of life features that could use upgrades, such as making it easiet to check the affection levels of multiple Pokmon at once or to have the extra controller buttons (e.

g. zL/zR and L/R) as shortcuts to useful features like the map or Candy Jar. Still not enough to really detract from an excellent upgrade to a great classic.

these games (let’s go pikachu/eevee) are designed to bridge the gap between casual gamers who play Pokemon Go on their phones and a standard Pokemon game, so obviously it’s going to be different than usual.

What’s different? No random battles, catching is the main way to gain experience, and most significantly the motion controls for catching. The first two are actually pretty refreshing in the monolithic series, but the motion controls aren’t really tight enough and for people who don’t like motion controls there are no other options.

I found the best way to play is in handheld mode because the catching is easier for me and less frustrating, though you’ll see most streamers have it in docked mode and use the joycons and hand/arm movements to throw which may or may not be fine for you.

The story is all right, pretty standard for Pokemon, but the battles are all pretty easy and the addition of candy can make your team basically unstoppable. I personally followed special self-imposed rules in the form of a “Nuzlocke” run in order to actually need to think while playing.

I’d suggest doing the same. If you’re a Go player and you want to get your feet wet, this is a great starting point. If you want something more traditional or any kind of challenge you won’t find that here.

Brilliant game and it’s lovely to see it remastered. The only issue (which was the case for the original pokemon yellow) is that you can’t back out of trainer battles. I was lost in a rock cave and I couldn’t get out or heal my pokemon without walking into a trainer wanting to battle.

And there’s no way of avoiding these trainers. No amount of proximity will work. You must fight. The pokemon themselves look amazing though. I am particularly keen on bulbsaurs little twerk as he battles.

All in all, great for the nostalgia, trainers and all.

Whether you were a kid when Pokemon was originally popular or you have a kid in your family now who is into them, this game (and accessory) are fun and should give you at least 50 hours of game play.

AT LEAST. The poke ball controller isn’t absolutely necessary to have fun, but it adds to the game and makes you feel like you might actually be a pokemon trainer! Plus, it vibrates when you catch things and you can carry around a pokemon in the ball with you when you’re not playing and level it up even faster than you would in the game.

My fiance and I both each got one of the pokemon go eevee/pikachu games and the poke ball controller, and we had a blast playing this game, and even when you’ve “beaten” the game – you can keep on playing to catch as many pokemon as you want, battle all the gym leaders again, and keep leveling up those pokemon all the way to level 100 to become a “master” trainer.

You can also battle other players online, which is a cool additional feature. Side note: My 6 year old nephew loves this game and my 21 year old brother does too. All ages should enjoy this!.

I do not have enough good things to say about this! My daughter is a Poké-fanatic and into building with bricks, so this was a no-brainer! And it lights up? Love it! I helped my daughter organize the pieces, but she did most of the work herself and took her about 45 minutes to build, maybe an hour.

It was easy for her to follow the instructions. I loved the color indicators on the instructions to know where the piece overlapped-it definitely helped to make sure that she didn’t have to backtrack if something wasn’t lined up correctly later on.

The ball is about 4. 5″ x 4. 5″ once fully built, and with the base it brings it to about 5. 25″ tall. It’s pretty big for small hands to hold, but it doesn’t feel too big or too small overall. It’s a great addition to any Pokémon collection.

The only downside we really found to this build was that the base was a little fragile. If it’s going to be used as a display piece, that’s not really a problem, but my kid likes to play and touch her stuff and so when she tries to take the ball off the base, we often have to rebuild the base.

I think a couple small connectors on the bottom where the pieces line up would help to hold it altogether, but it’s really easy to put the base together so it hasn’t really been a big problem. The light is a fun feature that my kid loves as well.

When you push the button, it flashes 4 times and then turns back off. I love that it doesn’t just stay on because we (I) don’t have to make sure it’s turned off every time we’re done playing with it.

Also, as a little bonus: the top and bottom can be separated easily and there’s a little space in there, perfect for a small figure or tiny stuffed animal. I tried to fit a pokemon card in there, but it didn’t quite fit.

The mega Construx Pokeball was a hit! I was a little apprehensive, sometimes other “brick like” building kits aren’t as good of quality. My son loved this! Time to construct took approx 2 hrs. The front circle lights up, just like a “real” Pokeball would! I was not aware of this feature but it really sets it apart from other sets.

It is built in steps then all put together at the end. It is very manageable for different skill levels. The packages are easily labeled and the instructions are clear. The kit comes with a stand to build also if you want to just use it for display.

Inside the Pokeball is a small square space that my son was able to put one of his own Poke characters in!.

This set was very neat. I played Pokemon as a kid and an adult and my oldest daughter 10, love it as well. Putting this ball together was delightful for the majority of it. Only recommendation, make sure to put it together on a hard, flat surface! Some of the building does not get secured together right away.

The construction once all the pieces are on is very solid. The light on the front gives it a little something extra that is nice. My daughter and i have had fun playing with it. The stand you build is really cool as well.

Get this on clearance while you can! Exact replica of ultra ball from pokeball series. Great decoration and I often find myself picking it up and playing with it even though you “shouldnt”!

I just wanted to take a moment and thank Altatac Sellers for their quick shipping on the Poke Ball Plus. I bought the item fully understanding that with the last minute order it was unlikely to arrive by Christmas.

I woke up this morning to an update on my phone saying the item would arrive today. It just came to my doorstep and its perfect. My child is going to have the best Christmas EVER and I am so thrilled with this transaction from start to finish.

So, other than the Lego Bird of Paradise (partially pictured here), I haven’t built a Lego (or Lego-compatible) set for about three decades, not since I was in highschool and playing with my younger brothers.

I like the end result — Eevee is cute and her tail was very satisfying to build. However, the rest of build was an absolute nightmare. There are tonnes of fiddly little pieces, especially in her legs, and the instruction booklet is not at all clear on probably half or more of the steps.

Very often, I was having to look ahead at the next step to see exactly where the bit I had just constructed was supposed to attach. The booklet makes some distinction between pieces (always saying not to use Eevee’s mouth brick instead of other bricks, for instance, and differentiating between big and little pieces of _some_ parts, but for many of the sloped bits, there’s no clear indication whether the piece being used is three dots long or four.

Gotta look ahead to the next step (or next several steps) to see. A few pieces are very, very, very close in appearance in the booklet (the bumper/brackets with the dots going up or the dots going down), and I had to tear apart and redo one section of one of her legs because I used the wrong bracket/bumper, and couldn’t connect the pieces that attached to the side of her leg.

When building Eevee’s chest ruff, the booklet also had a color error, showing to use light tan pieces instead of the ivory/clay. Something like that might have happened earlier in the build as well, because at one point I was left with three 2×4 panels in the ivory instead of the light tan ones I needed.

I was able to cannibalize from elsewhere on the build where it didn’t show, but that was a headache and a half all on its own. Further, while the bags are numbered, some of the pieces needed for later bags are inserted into earlier bags.

This was especially confusing since the set also has about 20 or so extra pieces. As the build was going, it was hard to tell if the pieces were spares (little pieces that might get dropped and hard to find make sense, but some of the spares ended up being large pieces) or if the pieces were accidentally missed due to the confusing instructions.

Many times during the build, there were places where two bricks were used where a single other brick could have been given instead (two 2×4 panels instead of a 4×4 panel, a 2×4 2×2 instead of a 2×6 panel, etc).

That felt like a way to artificially increase the piece count. I also had a lot of difficulty snapping a lot of the pieces together. They seemed real finicky at times, needing to go straight down on the other piece, instead of angling in and on.

I don’t remember that being a problem with the actual Legos, for the one set I’ve built recently. My experience with this Mega Construx build makes it very unlikely that I’ll buy another of their sets — not as a gift except for a very patient person (which my friends and our nieces and nephews aren’t) and certainly not for myself.

Well, maybe if they make a Galarian Rapidash, but even then I’d have to think long and hard about it. The box says “10 “, but I’ve got a feeling that it would end up being more of “parents of the kid help them struggle through the unclear instructions to build this.

” Again, the finished product is very cute and she’ll have a place of prominence with my other dolls and toys on display, but I really can’t recommend this build to others.

It’s a fun build with fairly easy-to-follow instructions. The likeness of the character is as close as you’ll get in building brick form and the attack gimmick is cool but short-lived; you’re supposed to flick the plastic circle and the after-image of the piece swaying back and forth imitates a psychic attack from the videogames.

There are a few issues with the build; It doesn’t balance particularly well and requires a low crouch and significant lean forward to counter-balance against its large tail. Also, there were a couple of parts that don’t quite stay together, the stomach piece falls off frequently, and pieces on its upper arms come apart if you handle them too much.

This was my first time buying a non-Lego brick-type product, and I very much regret it. After my kid spent hours building, she finds that she’s missing some crucial pieces when she’s 80% finished and cannot complete it.

All bags were accounted for, and they were all opened in the same cleared area. Because several unique pieces had many extras over the stated inventory, it seems safe to assume that one of the bags had extra multiples of the wrong pieces while missing several other types.

We were able to accommodate some of the missing pieces from her Lego stash, but many of the missing parts were unique to this brand and had no equivalents. When trying to request replacement parts on the Mega brand website, it states that “”GMD34″ not exists in database” for Mega Construx despite its listing on the website.

I would rather have just thrown the money away if I’d known I’d also be throwing away time spent building an unfinishable piece as well as time spent searching for missing pieces before realizing they were never there in the first place.

I’m sure this is a rare occurrence. Most sets will be just fine. But, after this, it will never be worth it to me to buy sets from this brand on the small chance we again end up spending hours building something only to find out that we’ll never be able to complete it properly.
