20 Best Plopping Towel For Curly Hair (2023 Updated)

I received this product through a cashback campaign. I have used several different brands of products that are very similar to this one and I will say that this one is by far the best. I have a lot of hair (both very thick and long) and many towel wraps just are not big enough to hold all my hair.

This thing is huge! It fits all my hair effortlessly which is honestly so refreshing. It works nicely and helps reduce frizzled helps with drying. I don’t plan on using my old wraps anymore now that I have this one.

The only way to make this better would be to offer additional colors.

I have thick, long, frizzy hair and I was hoping this would help my curls and frizz. I showered and put this wrap on. The next morning my hair was still wet. My hair was more curly but not in a pretty way like other people mention.

My hair still looked a mess. I put in curl mousse and a hydrator but I don’t think this wrap worked for me. I’m considered returning after one use.

I don’t actually have curly hair but I have somewhat long hair. I loved the design and color! I have tried other hair towels and this has been my favorite because it actually fits all my hair. Yes, you can find cheaper ones; you could even get 2 for the same price as this one but this one is well worth the money!!! You need it!.

I always thought these were useless. UNTIL the day I got one as a free gift with something I purchased. I now own 3 because I love them that much and can’t go without it. If you have curly hair and are still using a regular towel to help dry your hair, this is your sign to switch.

You’ll thank me later. It helps reduce frizz and I use it to scrunch up my curls to add some volume. I also love using it on more of the fragile strands of hair around my face. If I scrunch with my hands then the curls seem to look stringy but with the towel and really binds all the pieces together and gives it some nice bounce.

I learned about Devacurl when I learned about the curly girl method. I love using the build up buster when ever I put silicone products in my hair. Makes my hair less weighed down and way more volumized.

The shampoo is pareban free such is great for any hair types. It doesn’t damage your hair but still gets the hair nice and clean. The conditioner is very moisturizing. It makes my curls so shiny and defined.

It is silicone free which is great!!! The wave maker really defines my curls and really pulls my look together. I can put it in my hair when wet and it’s wet and then that is all I have to do. After my hair dries it forms the ‘cast’ I shake and scrunch that out and then I have the most beautiful curls frizz free that last all day!!! I use so many more Deva curl products like the mask and towel.

The deep sea mask is great for a quick frizz free moisture mask. My haor is never frizzy any more after using this once a week. I also use the melt into moisture mask once a week and this helps more with damage and split ends.

Which is great for me because i have very dry and corse hair with low porosity. I use the deva microfiber towel to dry my hair. It is very gentle on your hair and doesnt cause any breakage what so ever also keeps from causing any frizz.

If you are a curl haired girl this is what you need. They have 3 different lines. Wavy hair curly hair and all curl kind. So you can find the products perfect your your hair type. I went from a 2a hair type to 2c hair type after switching to the curly girl method with the help of deva curl.

The best hair decision I’ve ever made. THIS IS THE HOLY GRAIL Y’ALL. So get it and take advantage of these products.

Perfect for plopping! This towel has given me great curl definition for a year. My only complaints: the towel only comes in one drab color — gloomy day gray — and the loop meant to hold the towel on a bathroom hook has ripped completely off.

For the price, this should have been better secured. When I’m ready to replace this towel, I’ll look elsewhere.

I have the Sleek’e Microfiber Headband in light blue. Its made of moisture wicking material that supposed to dry hair by 50% of the time while also reducing frizz and flyaways. I can’t say I really use it for drying my hair necessarily.

I mainly use it for when I wash my face of apply makeup to keep my hair out of my face. It stretches and fits my head snugly and comfortably while keeping my little flyaways tucked down. It also has a little bow on top which is super cute.

The only thing I will say is that I would definitely wash before first use. There was some shedding of the microfiber material that I found on my face, hair. And clothing. No big deal but something to think about.

I have the black one of this. It has a button sewed onto the front, then end of it has an elastic loop to hook to the button. I have never figured out how to do it. There were no directions. The only reason it got one star is because it’s microfiber and packaging was nice.

But no directions, confusing, doesn’t really fit. Not recommended. I should’ve bought a regular microfiber towel. No wrap. Disappointed.

I have been wanting to try a hair towel for so long and I’m not disappointed! This microfiber hair towel is the perfect towel that’s light weight on the head. Say good bye to heavy towels weighing you down! It does what it says and dries faster, less frizz, and good for the hair.

This is by far, the best turban towel I’ve ever used. I love that I can wash my hair & wrap it with this AMAZING towel & evn though it absorbs the excess water from my hair; it allows me to keep it on my head while I’m doing other things.

I can put on my makeup, get dressed & when I’m ready to dry my hair with the L’ange bristle brush dryer & my hair is about half way dry so that I can add my L’ange hair products and comb through then it only takes just a few minutes to get my hair completely dry! I also love all of my AMAZING hair styling products, especially when they’re on sale! L’ange’s styling tools & hair care supplies have given me MANY COMPLIMENTS ON MY HAIR.

My hair is very long, so these products cut down on the time it takes me to dry & style my hair. Love all of your products I have used and every time any of them go on sale, I start shopping again to always be stocked up.

For years I always just wrapped my hair in a big bath towel after I washed my hair. It was so heavy and made things difficult when I would try and do things while my hair was wrapped. I received the hair wrap as a gift with a purchase of a hair wand (which I LOVE).

The pink hair wrap is so soft and so light. You can easily put makeup on and get dressed or even just lay in bed and be completely comfortable. The button on the back makes it so easy to tie your wrap in place.

I have super long hair but the hair wrap takes it all just fine. I honestly plan on getting these wraps for my mom and sisters as they still wrap their hair in large towels. I want them to have the experience I have had with the l’ange hair wrap.

I have very long thick hair (hip length), it is longer than the towel but it is not a problem, I just fold it back upon itself before twisting. The towel is so light that I can have it on my head for a prolonged amount of time without getting a headache or neck ache as I do in a short amount of time with a standard towel! It does shorten hair drying time, I would say about the same amount as a large heavy standard towel.

After use, the towel does also dry considerably quicker than a standard towel, so no damp smell.

This is a wonderful addition to wash day. I’ve been wanting a microfiber towel to use and see if it makes a difference. I’m currently deep conditioning right now. I’d say that it’s great at absorbing the moisture from my hair.

I love this towel, it’s super soft and does a great job at quick drying hair and locking in product. My only complaint is that I wish it was wider. My hair is clearly to long for it so the tips stick out so I have to try to tuck them inside the towel.

I feel like for the price, they definitely could have given us a wider towel to ensure that all hair can actually fit effortlessly. Overall it’s pretty good, and does the job.

I have thinish curly hair that has been losing curl as I get older. sad. I have researched so many products and been disappointed by most. I have learned that most curly hair products are designed for ethnic or course/dry curly hair and are far too heavy for thinner hair like mine.

I purchased the towel with a trial/travel kit of the DevaCurl NoPoo including a conditioner, light gel and moisture lock spray. In the shower, I noticed no suds and my hair felt smooth and soft without the heavy feel of regular shampoo/conditioner.

After blotting hair dry with the towel, applying light gel and moisture lock spray, wet hair looked not totally different than when not using the products. Flipped head over and dried on medium using diffuser, flipped up and looked in the mirror.

holy cow! Curly hair again! I haven’t had this much curl in 10 years. It even lasted a few days (usually I have to start over everyday to get curl back) and revived with just a little water and moisture lock spray.

I’ve used a regular bath towel to wrap up my hair every day for over 30 years with no issues, but the idea of drying my hair faster and with less damage was appealing. My hair is thick and was medium-long when I purchased this item.

I never noticed a difference in drying time, but I did notice that the towel is pretty tight and pulls on the front of my hair when buttoned. After a few weeks of use I noticed that the front of my hair was looking bigger/frizzier than it was before, especially where my hair is parted in front.

I figured that maybe it was because I was leaving the towel on for too long and letting my hair dry too much in a pulled back position. I tried to make sure my hair wasn’t pulled back as much when I did the wrap, but the problem didn’t go away.

I decided that this was because it was summer and there was just no controlling my frizz. It took another few months before I realized that my hair was actually very damaged and has broken off in the area when I typically feel the towel pull when I twist it up.

So now I have a weird little broken bit that will take over a year to grow back and my hair is frizzier than before. This towel caused obvious damage to my hair and I will not be using it anymore!.

I got one of these years ago in a subscription box (for the life of me I can’t remember which one because I was subscribed to all of them at one point or another). I remember, at the time, thinking how boring it was to get it.

Boy was I wrong! This is FAR superior to a regular bath towel for a number of reasons- it’s not heavy at all so it doesn’t pull on my hair like regular bath towels do because of the weight. It’s super absorbent (if you’re thinking it doesn’t absorb very well, make sure you’re not washing it with fabric softener- items that are meant to absorb need to be washed with the most basic wash and absolutely no added softeners or even fragrances or it will diminish their ability to absorb).

I typically wash mine in a plain unscented wash and dry without any sort of dryer sheet and it always comes out perfectly. This towel has cut my drying time by at least half I’d say. I don’t have thick hair, but I do have a lot of fine hair that holds water really well (hair dressers have told me), and this pulls most of that excess water out so that when I dry it, it’s damp and not soaking wet.

After owning it for years, I have finally realized I can buy another one here at Ulta so I’m buying another one so that I can switch them out without having to make sure I get it washed before the next time I wash my hair.

This towel is worth it’s price easily! I got my first one “free” because of a subscription box but I’m buying another one right now because it’s that good and I never want to be without it!.

I always wanted one of these but also kind of thought it was just another gimmick to spend money on. I finally got one and this is actually life changing. I notice a huge difference in my hair and it really soaks out water fast.

You don’t have to wear it long. I have very long curly blonde/bleached hair and wrapping it in a towel was so heavy and pulled on my roots. This is so much better. I travel with it I could never put my hair in a towel again.

They are also a great gift. My mom has fine thin fine straight angel hair and since going through chemo she has kept her hair but it’s even more delicate than normal. I got her this to help protect from breakage and she is just as obsessed.

It has definitely helped keep the integrity of both our very opposite hair.

I still had a couple of Aquis towels in use that were 15 years old! But, my new ones are even better. They wrap into a turban without the weight of a bath towel pulling on my hair. The towels pull moisture from the hair evenly making it ready to style.

Aquis towels dry quickly and launder extremely well. They are so soft and just the perfect size longer hair!.

From the “base” of my head my hair is 25 inches long and somewhat thick. Standard towels do NOTHING to remove the water. So as I work at my desk my back and butt get WET from the run off. YES, at times this can be embarrassing.

I use a barrette to pull back my bangs and 12+ hours later I can take it down and still have wet hair. =/ NOT with Aquis Hair Towels. Yiiiiipppppeeeeeee! I put my hair up while I get dressed. I then shake my hair out (to separate) and wrap back up while I clean up the shower area and get my hair products to comb it out.

ZERO “run off” at this point AND my hair is 100% dry from “natural” drying no more than 3 hours later. The ONLY down falls to this product. they’re a bit expensive and there is less than a 1/2 inch available for tucking/locking in place.

BUT NO WORRIES. The manufacturer has a bigger one that I soooooo plan to get. AND, I’ve already told my daughter she can have the ones I currently have because they will fit her hair perfectly. I saw they also have body towels and plan to get them as well.

only wish they had the bath sheet size.

I absolutely love this microfiber towel. I have the Micro Dot print which is so fun and classy! The quality of this towel is so good, comparing to other hair towels I’ve tried that barely hold all of my hair, this towel is big enough to hold all my hair.

Also, it is thick material but very light weight. Very gentle on my hair which is so important to me because ultimately, I want to protect my hair as best as I can. Since using this microfiber towel I’ve seen less frizz and it dries my hair so quickly.

Aesthetically, it is a simple product but the quality of the material, the detail and color of the button that helps secure the towel in place and the logo is very classy and makes you feel like you are legit using a luxury brand! Can’t recommend this enough.

I will be ordering the 4 pack as it is something that I will continue to use and start implementing in my daughters’ wash days as well!.

I have looked at this brand of hair towel for a long time. I finally purchased the leopard pattern one. I was using another popular brand but honestly this tops that one! You are getting a much better product with a better price point than the other brand that I was using.

I have had this for a few months now. I don’t think it absorbs water like the higher priced Aquis I buy at Nordstrom. I have long straight hair and it wraps fine. What I do not like is that it starts to smell after a couple of uses despite air drying.

I tried to get the funky smell out with sanitizer laundry solution, etc, but after a couple of tries, it’s now a hand towel. I’ll keep using my pricer version without the funky smell.

I don’t know how I haven’t written a review for this product until now. These are the absolute greatest towels for drying hair. My sister gave me one for Christmas a few years ago and then I purchased this one as a gift for my boyfriend who has really, really long hair.

He loves it, too. My hair takes forever to dry (it’s long and naturally dry and on top of it all I get it bleached regularly, so it absorbs ALL the water) but using my Aquis cuts that time down drastically.

It’s so gentle on my damaged hair, too. I feel like regular towels are too rough and just cause even more dryness frizz, but my Aquis towel actually takes care of my hair. I am forever a customer and will always recommend that everyone gets their own Aquis.

I had the opportunity to try and review AQUIS Hair Copper Sure Rapid Dry Hair Wrap in color Terracotta. This hair wrap is truly amazing, I love that it’s very easy to use and it stays put on your head, unlike towels I used in the past which I had to keep adjusting to make sure it stays put and doesn’t fall off my head.

I have middle length hair and I have been using it non-stop since receiving it. The towel is woven with an antimicrobial Copper Sure which repels bacteria and eliminates odor thus making this tower towel cleaner and fresher longer.

What I love the most about this hair towel is that it dries my hair in half the time leaving my hair shiny, soft and strong and helps me avoid the friction and damage usually caused by a traditional bath towel.

Light and fluffy material. It is quite big actually, fits loosely with my shoulder length hair. Should be able to use with really long hair too. I’ve been using it over a plastic shower cap when I deep condition to sort of trap in heat.

It’s not intended for that use though and I can’t tell if it’s really trapping in any heat. But for the intended use of easy hair drying, I think it serves the purpose. Realistically you can’t completely dry hair with any towel I think, but this is very easy to use with its convenient design and drains excess water off of hair quite quickly too.

After use, it takes the normal amount of time to dry. My only complaint is the tags sewn onto it which I can’t seem to remove completely.

Ohh this Nabaiji soft microfibre hair towel is no stranger to me. I have a few of them already. Use them mostly at home after washing my hair. So it was like being over used and that is why I need a few of them.

Extremely good. Very absorbent, easy to use it over the wet hair, really keep the wet hair in place until the hair dry. So I’m loving it because it serves the purpose, functional and it is certainly the most ideal hair towel for me.

Have been using this since a couple of years and is a repeat buy… 4th or 5th time. Once u use this, you won’t like any other. I love how absorbent it is… I wouldn’t say it’s quick drying though. Perhaps quick drying compared to regular towels as it’s microfiber.

I have curly and wavy hair! I tend to struggle with dry ends and just more fragile hair after it’s washed. Since my hair has been growing longer I have been trying to take better care. I bought the last one in stock and am so happy I did.

Not only do I love the softness, but it keeps my hair out of my face and helps it dry without damage. Pattern is too cute. I also love that it’s machine washable so it should last me a long time. I just feel lucky that there was one left.

I have always wanted a Turbie Twist because everyone loves it. It also helps with frizz and overall the state of my hair. Win-win for me and the less than $10 price tag. Thank you so much Target. I wasn’t sure if it was sold in store because I didn’t want to order online.

NOT long enough for actual “long” hair, not sure what other reviewers are thinking. This is definitely for your average length, medium length, shoulder-length hair. That being said, it still works okay for me, and looks super cute.

The technique required to keep it on feels just as finicky as a normal towel, just different.

i was having trouble finding a microfiber cloth big enough to wrap around my hair after the shower. this is PERFECT. i had a turbie towel when they first came out and oh my goodness have they improved.

the tail is super long to accommodate long, thick hair. the loop is easy to use and it stays on. dries my thick curly hair well! i love it. it’s so easy and it makes getting ready easy because i know my hair is taken care of it and the towel won’t fall off my head.

Soooo. I think I’m going to give people these for Christmas this year. Really, REALLY good gift! My friend gave me one, and I was just so surprised by the quality. Like. it feels like you went to a really expensive hotel and they gave you some sort of luxury hand towel or something.

I have really low porosity hair & my hair pretty much never dries. It’ll still be wet like a day later. So this has been really helpful when it comes to plopping my hair & getting it to dry a bit so I’m not leaving the house with soaking wet hair.

I really loved using the towel on my hair for the first few months. The material really helped to keep my hair from frizzing out after a wash. The towel did fall off of my head no matter how I tried to tie/tuck it.

Wishing it was a bit larger for me to tuck for the amount of hair on my head or if it had a clasp of some kind to secure the towel so it doesn’t drop. A few more inches of fabric would’ve done it some justice.

I’ve had the towel for a few months now and no matter how I wash it, it becomes even more discolored, dingy, and rough every single wash. Literally all of my clothes/other towels come out perfectly normal.

It’s only this towel. I’ve washed it with like colors, washed alone, hand-washed, used mild detergents, used strong detergents, applied stain removers, etc. It just gets worse every single time. My towel looks/feels nothing like the original and I’ve had to toss it.

So I bought the dark grey towel as the pink was out of stock. Sad times but I needed a much longer microfibre towel than most places sell. Appearance, it’s actually a lovely grey colour. Actually do not mind it wasn’t the pink one that I had initially wanted.

It also feels soft. Lovely quality and it’s such a good length and size. Very easy to use. I have long medium wavy hair and my hair fits inside it no problem as usually I would find my hair is too long for the towel I was using.

Honestly my favourite microfibre towel and I have loads. Totally worth the money and I would buy again when I need a new one which I can tell won’t be for a while as it’s such good quality.

I have been using a cotton t-shirt and decided to try this as the t-shirt is a bit small really and gets over saturated so easily. I’ve had a microfibre towel before that was absolute rubbish, but this one is honestly brilliant.

It’s such good quality, it’s thick, it’s big, it doesn’t get over saturated with water and my hair feels about 50% drier after I’ve plopped in this compared to the t-shirt. Reduces my dry time considerably.

I haven’t worked out how to use the button bits to hold it all up yet but they did email me a link after my purchase with more info on that so I just need to take the time to look. It is expensive especially as postage is quite a lot but it really is good quality and I think worth it.

This towel is AMAZING! The result is perfect for my curls and I love that the towel itself doesn’t get soaking so I can use it to cover my shoulders so I don’t get sticky product on my clothes while my hair is drying.

I would love it if it was a tiny bit bigger. The size is fine but I have quite long hair. I’d also love some other colours.

WOW! Beats microfibre hands down the BEST curly hair towel I’ve used. Game changet. No need to diffuse now either. First I microplop with it then plop with it for an hour or so if time allows, perfect results every time.

Love this towel. I already have a micro fibre hair towel but this one is much better. Really thin, great quality and super absorbance. Love Boucleme products and this just adds to my collection. This towel dries my hair quickly but leaves enough water to prevent frizz and leaves my hair with beautiful curls, perfect result everytime.
