I served in the army OEF 13 and 14. This is a great product. The carrier is well made and the plates are very light. The lightness is bewildering but confidence inspiring. The plates are dated the day I ordered them; most plates have a shelf life and I dont feel cheated knowing they were not sitting around on a shelf somewhere considering it only took a week to ship, thats great.
There are many cheaper products but you arent merely purchasing a plate carrier; you are purchasing a carrier with lll+ plates capable of stopping a 7. 62 or 5. 56. That is a tremendous jump in stopping power from the usual llla plate readily available on the market today.
A level 3a only stops pistol rounds not rifle. The choice for me is clear and Ill sleep better knowing I have the additional protection.
This carrier is great quality for the price. Of course, it is not of the same quality as the more expensive plate carriers made with the quick-clot lining or sewn-in kevlar linings, etc. For the price point this offers the most basic of ballistic protection with plenty of room for add-on protection such as hard plates (level 3 and up), side panels, etc.
For a worse case scenario for those that are budget minded this is a great starting point. This does include two level IIIA soft panels which are very light weight and stackable with hard plates for maximum ballistic threat mitigation.
Great vest for the price. Well made and light weight. Lots of options for attaching additional gear. Has room to add additional plates for added protection.

I do not have any experience with plate carriers. So cannot compare. However, the quality appears good. Design is good & it has provision for some side protection. The quick release is a good design feature in the event you need to free yourself from it quickly.
Once adjusted it’s comfortable as one would expect and also when seated. I went with Amor Core type plates which are lighter than steel. truck bed painted and then gorilla taped 1/4″ padding on wearer side.
I would highly recommend this Vest if you are looking for a solid platform to work from. The quality is second to none. The adjustments are very simple if you understand the setup process. You have plenty of room for all your gear.
If you are a big guy like myself, this is the Vest for you. The plates are easy to install and have plenty of padding against your body. You will not be disappointed.
I had a older version of the NcStar Vism plate carrier but when I saw this Quick release model I needed it ! For the price you can’t beat it ! I would stack this up against any other carrier twice the price ! Sewing on molle is top notch and features are impressive with separate pocket s for plates, padding between plates and body more room for add ons such as mag pouches,1st aid, pistol ect.

I have owned other plate carriers and compare this to 5. 11, SKD pig, and a Mayflower. I prefer this one. It has a better fit for me, I am 5’7 and weigh a 165lbs. This seems to be tailored for a small to xl frame better than the others.
The plate pockets are big in the cyclone and this is due to the dimensions of the sappi plates issued. Some folks complain about that but if you are using ar500 plates then add a cut outs from a dense cell foam pad.
This actually works better than some trauma pads I have seen on the market. I even use gorilla glue duck tape to wrap my trauma pads. This resolves the extra room when using ar500. This carrier is very slim, lightweight, and durable.
The cumberbun fits snug but also has the needed spandex to help fit comfortable allowing for a good fit with the ability to breath heavily. When running in this plate carrier I have zero wiggle except from my hsgi taco mags that move a little.
Stitching looks great and doubled. Shoulder straps are very comfortable for me. Great buy. We just bought a second.
High quality American made product with materials sourced in the USA. You can tell the difference in quality the first time you put it on. Made out of lighter, yet stronger material than many other plate carriers out there.
Yes, it is a bit more money than some other Condor plate carriers and NcStar ones, but it is well worth it. I run a rather wide gunfighter belt alongside this vest and they both fit very comfortably.
I would highly recommend this product over many others that i have worn and with minor adjustments i’d imagine this would fit almost any body type. Half the cost of HSGI and 5. 11 plate carriers but still the same incredible quality!.
Sadly, compared to its Chinese made mopc counterpart, it falls short. Comfort wise there is less padding and you can only run soft armor in the sides. The cumberbund for the cyclone is made with nylon straps vs the bungee cord on the mopc.
The mopc is more accomadting to xl and xxl frames vs the cyclone. Additionally, the cumberbund had a sewing error that my wife was able to fox with her sewing machine and some kevlar thread. Overall just mediocre.

The carrier has a decent design and feel to it, but the lack of sizing is its Achilles heel. I am 6′, 180lbs with a 40″ chest and I have to overlap the front/rear shoulder straps to the point where there is less than an inch of Velcro holding them together in order to bring the plates up to the proper height (clavicular level).
I have to fold the loose ends of the straps over themselves and wrap them in the shoulder pads or they hang out to a comical degree. The folded-over straps actually add to the padded feel on the shoulders, but it defeats the point of flat, “low vis” straps.
They would stick out like a sore thumb under any clothing but a super baggy jacket or hoodie. Another sizing deficiency is the lack of internal support for plates in the carrier. Unless you want your 10″ x 12″ plates sagging low or sliding around in the carrier, you have to fold the front flap up inside the carrier to the point that you lose about an inch of Velcro on the front portion.
There is a reason that most PC manufacturers size their carriers differently based on plate size. And most manufacturers also don’t assume their average end user will have a chest the depth and width of a small car.
The only way this would fit me in its standard configuration (with the entirety of the Velcro material on the shoulder straps touching on both the hook and loop sides), is if I was morbidly obese or had the upper body of a world class body builder.
It’s hard to believe anyone would actually need to loosen the straps *beyond* the standard configuration. At the end of they day I can make the PC work, and it seems surprisingly well constructed for the price (minus the sizing issues), but the sizing is a huge design defect.
A smaller gripe is that the vertical loops are stitched about an inch wider than standard PC and chest rig panel width, so I have to angle the straps of triple mag carriers slightly outwards to hook them in.
All in all, this plate carrier could be great if it came in more than one size and/or had better internal support for the plate itself. I want to like it but not enough thought went into the basic design features.

Love this plate carrier! Im a Big guy 6ft 325lbs (currently losing weight as well) this PC fits me great and i love the elastic on the side straps allowing a snug fit but still moving with your body as you breath! Although i bought this for range use i found its a great addition to resistance weight training and cardio work out! The only complaint i could feasably make against it is the way the molle lines up on the bottom with the flap of the plate carrier pocket overlaps that bottom row! Thats not TOO Big of an issue though it still weaves in it just skips a row not too big a deal for my purposes!.
