This stuff just flat out works. Like many have said, it takes a bit for it to show results, but rest assured, it will kill whatever you spray it on provided you FOLLOW THE IMSTRUCTIONS on the label. I guess some have quite unrealistic expectations but hey, it does the job and you save a bunch of monye vs the Big name brands.

I mean isn’t the point that the weeds end up dead? You cand overspend if you wish or you can save money. Either way the weeds end up dead. Not a hard choice for me. Don’t listen to anyone who says this stuff doesn’t work.

They probably expected way faster results and were disappointed at the speed. It kills weeds. PERIOD.

Can’t get this in our local stores anymore. I still need to take care of our estate and that means getting rid of vegetation overgrowth. This stuff does the job like no other! Mix 3 ounces to a gallon of water, add a little surfactant (I use Dawn soap) spray it on the leaves of the undesired vegetation.

all dead in a few days. Used it to kill several small trees as well. It’s great stuff! Its 41% glyphosate and it works. Great price too! 2. 5 gallons should last a while but I’ll buy several more before the end of 2021.

It killed the weeds and some grass. It doesn’t permanently kill weeds. They dry up and die but come right back. It does however kill every bird, squirrel, and rabbit that gets food from your yard. We have not seen this issue with other brands.

Only this one. I don’t feel like it is safe for pets to go in the yard even after this is dry. Seriously dead birds everywhere and we still have weeds. Huge fail!.

Here it is, April all ready and I am starting to see small weeds starting to sprout in the flower beds. I’m trying out roundup weed barrier this year to stop the never ending weeds. First I removed all the little sprouts prior to spreading the weed barrier.

Very easy to use with the bottle spout. The directions include a very small picture, which is supposed to show what the density of the granules should look like on the ground, but it is very hard to see, much better if you look online to find a better image.

I left part of the bed untreated for a comparison in a few months. I’ll report back later on the barrier results.

I put this on my beds shortly after receiving. My beds contain river rock stone and grass prevention is critical. In April, Michigan had 23 days of periodic rain. Bottom line I still have more grass than desired but I don’t blame it on Weed Barrier.

We are due for a warmer dryer week coming up. I plan on pulling the sprouted grass then re-applying the Weed Barrier. Weed Barrier packaging makes application very easy. I’m confident this product will solve the grass in bed problem.

Very easy to spread out because it is granules and not a powder. This way you can see exactly where you are putting it. This is important because it not only kills weeds , it also kills grass. You need to be careful not to get it on your lawn accidentally.

Just have to rake it in a little and then water and you are all set for 8 months. I do this before I mulch this way you will never get any weeds coming thru your mulch. A great product that doesn’t cost very much and can last 8 months.

This is a real winner.

I am using this anchor (several in fact) to help hold down deck boxes in the Florida dirt/sand. I haven’t tested them against hurricane force winds, so I can’t say fully how they did, but that’s what they’re for.

Seem better quality than similar ones that are a little cheaper. Easy enough to install.

We live in town but are lucky enough to have a huge back yard big enough to tie our dog out on a 100 foot lead. He LOVES to chase a ball. and anything else that may move fast in his field of vision. Our akita cattle dog mix is very intelligent and slows down before the rope ends but it’s so nice to know the can’t pull the tie out from the ground if something just too irresistible comes by.

My husband loves the fold down feature which allows him to mow/ drive right over it without damage!.

I purchased these anchors to straighten my fence in the backyard. I was not sure if I should get the ten inch ones or the sixteen inch. I got the ten and worked great. I have 3/16″ wire rope pulling on them and they are solid, I used a pipe through the loop and just twisted them in, It was not difficult and they are flush to the ground so you can run your lawnmower over them with no problem.

Good purchase. They worked better than I thought they would.

Price is a little high compared to other similar products. The nice thing is there are no grazing restrictions. Not sure how well it kills the weeds yet as I just sprayed a few days ago and it can take 14 days or more to kill weeds.

Dont let cost of the bottle sway you. Look at mixing ratio. it costs a fraction per acre compared to other effective products. GREAT for livestock pastures. Kills FIREWEED and other weeds without killing grass.

Most herbicides will NOT kill fireweed effectively. not even Roundup. This has the ingredient(s) that is the most effective and it is considerably cheaper per acre than some of the other products that kill fireweed and other pasture weeds.

Be sure to read label especially if you have legumes in your pasture grass that you dont want to kill.

Manure from pastures sprayed with Grazon cannot be composted. Trust me, I was composting horse manure for friends and family and it has ruined our gardens. Dow clearly states not to compost on their label.

I was told it was safe for horses to eat, so I assumed it was safe. If you’re not going to use manure out of your pastures it work great. But you need to know it will stay in your pasture for up to five years.

Spring is here, and the weeds are starting to pop up! My flower beds are huge, usually taking 40 bags of mulch each spring, and trying to control the weeds can be exhausting. This year, since I was given this Preen Weed Preventer to review, I took this opportunity to use it while putting on a new layer of mulch.

Following the directions I got rid of the weeds that had already popped up, and I used the application lid to spread Preen on top of the mulch and over a brick walkway that always gets so many weeds between the bricks.

Even though I applied it very liberally it only took 1/2 the bottle to do all of my flowerbeds and the walkway, plus under the deck. Since the product should last 6 months that gives me another application for the fall in the same container.

The granules are quick to spread with the application lid, and I haven’t seen any new weeds poke through the mulch or brick walk yet since applying it a couple weeks ago. I am happy with Preen so far and look forward to a great season of not pulling weeds.

This stuff is amazing for flower beds! By now in my neck of the woods I would normally be pulling weeds like mad from my beds and having a tough time keeping up since this is the beginning of the growing season but I was able to apply Preen Extended Control Weed Preventer in time to stop the emergence of new growth.

I can testify that it is already working as there are no new sprouts coming up, and my beds look so clean under the plantings. This product is so easy to apply – just shake directly on the ground around existing plants.

I especially love that this is a 6-month control formula so I won’t necessarily need to apply again until fall. I am so pleased with this product and will be exploring more of their line of gardening formulas in hopes they will make my gardening life simpler.

I have been using the regular Preen for many years and always had good results. When I discovered the Preen Extended Control, I was expecting to have good results and saving myself the time to not have to put the product down two times per growing season.

I put the Preen Extended Control down in March and followed application instructions as per usual. We live in MD, zone 7a. We have over 2 acres of property and several large flower gardens. My flower gardens have always been beautiful in the past, but this year the weeds are overwhelming! Attached is a photo of just one small area.

We have a small farm with a very long, and large, gravel driveway. We use this once a year to control grasses and weeds that grow in the gravel driveway as well as controlling grasses around our barn, under our trees, and on the sidewalks.

This also knocked out poison ivy in a few spots if applied thick enough. Combined with a Stihl backpack sprayer, we couldn’t be happier. For mixing, add water slowly as others have suggested. It will foam with fast water flow and can overspill if not careful.

When applying, we walk backwards and spray in front of us to prevent walking through the chemical. One bottle/container covers everything we need. We’ve applied annually for the last three years and have noticed less and less return growth.

Results are noticed in a few days.

I purchased this product on 5/13/22. I have a spine problem so I had to hire a yard man to come out and spray my beds. The fisrt visit he charged me $40. I watched as he sprayed well the entire area.

On the bottle is stated: visible results in 3 hours. I went outside in 3 hours and nothing! No results whatsoever. I went back in 6 hours. and Nothing. I continued looking for a couple of days to no avail.

It did not kill any grass or even the tiny weeds that were visible. I called the company after several days, and the customer service rep checked and returned to the phone stating it might take up to 2 weeks total.

I waited longer and then had the yard man come back and respray to no avail!. This time he charged me $60. During that time it was very hot, dry weather, and the weeds should have died by then. I saw a tv ad yesterday for this product which stated, GUARANTEED RESULTS OR YOUR MONEY FULLY REFUNDED.

! I have now spent $100 to spray these few weeds and grass + a total of $17. 17 for the spray, making it a total of$117. 11. Today it has been 2 wseeks adn 1 day, since he first sprayed with no results!.

I have used Roundup on my property for about the last 5 years. I like the product but there are major issues with material. When I bought my first container with a sprayer, it worked very well. I used it immediately after purchasing it from Home Depot.

The next year I still had the spray container, so I purchased the refill container and the material worked fine. I also needed more material and I bought the super concentrate so that I could mix my own material At the end of the summer I had used only half of the material, and so I kept the spray container with the product in it in my garage over the winter.

My garage doesn’t freeze, since it is attached to the house. The next spring, this year 2021, when I tried to use the sprayer, it didn’t work. I opened the container and found that the product had jelly lumps in it and therefore they were clogging the fine openings in the sprayer.

I cleaned the sprayer and screened the product. When I sprayed it on the walkway weeds nothing happened. The material had lost its potency. I read the labels on the containers carefully and found no mention of self life and also proper conditions for storage of the material.

So I bought another container of Roundup with a sprayer on it. The newly purchased product worked wonderfully. However, I needed more, so I made a new mixture from the Super Concentrate that I had purchased two years earlier.

When I used it, it did not work at all. So there is a self life to the super concentrate. That really troubled me, because the Super Concentrate cost about $73. 00 when I purchased it. So my questions are twofold: 1.

Why is there no statement on the containers that state there is a self life associated with the product; and 2. Why is there no expiration date printed on the container. This is really a lack of sensitivity to the residential customer.

I finally wet on the web and read a lot of reviews. The jelly effect isw known and posted on various sites, but the RoundUp website does not give one proper storage conditions. Further reading lead me to a statement several layers deep into the RoundUp website that the shelf life is 4 years.

That is a meaningless statement, since they do not give you the storage conditions used to develop that number. When a residential customer buys the product from a retail store, there is no indication as to how old the product is.

And for the residential user, that has stored the material along with other gardening materials, there is no way of knowing the effectiveness of this product. The labeling and instructions really need to be vastly improved.

As a final note, I have read many of the reviews posted here. People who use the product when it is potent, get excellent results. But other individuals present information that indicates that they have product that is past its shelf life and found that it does not work.

As a result the distribution in ratings is bimodal.

Used this product at the recommended rates three times and found that the weeds showed no signs of dying. Tried this product on a variety of weeds here in Florida but was disappointed by the poor results.

I have a small landscape design and installation business. I preen my clients 3 times, minimum. I am annoyed that you raised your product prices while using deceptive advertising on the size of container.

Prices went up 5. 00 per container yet each container weighs 1. 5 lbs less. Looks the same, thus being deceptive. I send out my yearly contracts in January with 3 rounds of preen. Each client now cost me more to preen since the average loss is 9 to 9.

5 lbs. Then 2 out of 6 containers had 2 scoops, thus SHORTING me more preen. 10 lbs minimum.

I previously bought Preen labeled “organic” and now find it is labeled “natural. ” I went online and found Preen is very toxic to birds, animals, and humans if we get it on our hands. Be careful spreading this product around unless you have no regard for the environment.

It is not that it doesn’t work, but the labeling is deceiving. BE AWARE.

This product I have used for years! Excellent results to control my enemy, Mr. Weed! Keeps the tomatoes clear and beautiful. and productive. Also excellent in my rose beds. Leave it, forget it. and enjoy your time not weeding!.

My son’s backyard is between a quarter to a half acre and on a slope toward the house. We both live in New Mexico. To use liquid killer to rid the wild, native grass and weeds, would have cost a lot more.

For those without common sense, be careful around the house or other structures and wooden fences; and never use on a windy day. Communicate with the closest fire station before starting for codes, their supervision, and protection.

I like the control valve on the end of the wand, making it easier to quickly adjust or turn off, before turning off the valve on the propane tank. I highly recommend the torch for larger than normal spaces (Whatever normal is in your area).

I have seen this product advertised in many other places, but no one can beat this price. It is a great little tool to use around the house. I tried it out the first day I got it, and didn’t think it did a whole lot to eradicate the unwanted ivy I have creeping in from my neighbor’s yard.

I waited a couple of days, and soon, all the ivy was dying away. You don’t need to burn the weeds until they are crispy, just a quick pass with the flame, and in a couple of days, you will see the results.

I was very impressed at the durability of the item, and really it did a great job of getting rid of my dandelions and ivy. It is easy to use once you get the hang of it, and it allows you to kill weeds, pesticide free! Don’t worry if the paints comes off the shaft near the flame, it is just cosmetic and doesn’t affect the function.

Of all the garden websites I checked, as well as the big depot stores for home improvement, Walmart beats the price by at least $20-30. I couldn’t find it cheaper anywhere, so this was a great buy from an old favorite.

pros: very hot, just swinging the flame over most plants causes them to get the shine that you want showing that they have been heated enough. The torch is light but the tank is a heavy so if you plan on doing a lot of walking you might want the carrier.

cons: Without the squeeze handle it burns a lot of gas but the handle makes it way easier to control the heat. Watch out for wind. If you have a lot of dead plants in your yard expect some little fires or if you have wind a lot of fires all over the place.

Works well as a general herbicide. You can mix it to the strength you need for a given type of weed. There is a mix guide on the container. It’s glyphosate, so it doesn’t work immediately. Expect to wait about a week to see results.

Personally, I prefer glyphosate since it’s absorbed through the leaves and doesn’t remain active in the soil. Price has gone up, but it’s still less expensive than buying Round Up particularly if you routinely use herbicide on a large property.

I normally mix 6oz per gallon for general weed control. That seems to take care of just about everything. Be careful of overspray. Best not to use this close to anything you don’t want to kill.

First time using this brand of glyphosate. I cleared several small areas for fall food plots with a DR Trimmer in late June. After 3 weeks regrow the started to appear and I spayed a post emergent glyphosate(not farmworks) with a quarter of the mixture being 2 4-D amine.

The first application killed approximately 75% of the regrowth. The second application was applied approximately 4 weeks after the first. A week ago I purchased this brand of glyphosate to kill the approximately 10% of the remaining weeds.

I sprayed and seeded the plot on the same day hedging my bets on this product. It has been approximately one week since my final application and the results are worrisome. The young 2inch broadleaves have yet to show signs of any struggle.

I used the heavier mixing instructions as directed to combat several tough perennials that are present. The weather has also been more than ideal for spraying. So far it looks like all I did was water the weeds I was trying to eliminate.

Now my seeds will germinate and spraying will no longer be an option.

This is a product I’ve used for years now. Like my title says, it is a little slower to show signs of killing the plants. But it kills it to the dirt, and last for months. Only need to retreat once maybe twice per season.

First time I purchased this I was skeptical, then I’m a believer in this stuff now. Sure there may be faster working products will have the plants wilted by the end of the day but when one jug of this last for multiple seasons with the same end result.

You bet I will give it five stars.

I maintain 10 desert acres. The way out of weed takeover by July and I mean farm-like sections of weeds, is to pre emerge yearly! I have to be selective around vegetation and the house directly, but for the furthest areas around my property, I use an atv sprayer.

The first year preemerging, we got surflan southern weed killer, the second year we got TVC. I was worried about the TVC and was looking for something as effective but not as devastating. I saw a video for the RM43 and got it! It seems to have worked great and I like how it kills existing weeds as well! None of the other preemergants did that! I was even still spraying weeds with the leftover mix out of a sprayer.

It left NO Green!! I use Caseron for in and around vegetation and good ol picking them everywhere else every year. Unless I find something as good or better and less expensive, I’ll be buying the RM43 from here on out!.

We have 4 homes spread out over several acres of family property. I keep about 12 acres of the property mowed and cleared. That includes weed eating around each home, several outbuildings, and a very wide, long drainage ditch.

It has become too much for me over the last couple years, so we have using herbicide in place of most of the weed eating. I mixed this product at a rate of 2 quarts in a 25 gallon sprayer. We sprayed a little over 125 gallons of mix over 2 days.

It took about 4 days before we started noticing any effect, but within a week it was obviously working well. Now 2 weeks later the RM43 has killed everywhere we sprayed. As noted in the instructions, it will get into the root system and spread to surrounding plants whether you want it to or not.

Not a big deal to me but it might be to others. Don’t use it in areas you don’t want everything dead. It kills at least twice as much as you intend it to. I think the prices are ridiculous but if it lasts a full year, it will be worth it.

We have an 18×10 area that is mulched and covered in crafted metal animals and lawn art, antique ox pulled plow, carousel horse, etc. It doesn’t look great when it is covered in weeds that grow through the supposed weed mat.

I tried the normal ground clear products and no results. Then my Tractor Supply associate told me about this product. It works like a charm! In a few hours, start to see a little brown in the weeds and in two or three days everything’s dead.

I use it 2x a year and no issues. I also use it on our parking pads, flagstone patio, sidewalks, and in our mulched backyard area. While it seems more expensive, it really isn’t, because you mix it with water, so you can make gallons of it for your sprayer.

Preen is great, it works fairly well, preventing weeds from sprouting-up. When using it, one must be sure to spread it all evenly; don’t be afraid to use lots of it. It’s always a great idea to spread the Preen down 1 or 2 days before a rainy-day, water activates the Preen…either by natural-rain, or by a water-hose.

I always rely on the rain, and it works-out for me. The Preen works for 3 months, preventing most all weeds, it does a great job. I highly recommend using this style of Preen. 1 of these full-unopened containers weighs 18 pounds.

Please see the 6 attached photos I provided for this review…I bought 2 of these containers. I highly recommend this product. Lastly, these containers afterwards can be used as storage buckets or for whatever…they are made of high-quality and recyclable plastics.

The Preen is shipped via Walmart-boxes with plenty of protective-packaging surrounding it. I was highly impressed with the shipping-and-handling of these 2 products, I bought 2.

This works pretty well, and isn’t scary to put on food crops. It’s a natural product made of corn and while it doesn’t prevent Weeds perfectly, it definitely makes an important difference and reduces the number and size of weeds, and seriously reduces the maintenance workload in my veggie garden.

I like to put it around established onions, beets, carrots, and beans – the things that are so hard to weed and hoe around.

When I was 18 or 19 I lived in a house with a neglected lawn and for some reason decided to try this. Yard was full of clover, dandelions, and other weeds. Had large area bare spots of N. C. red clay around trees.

I put it down heavy just once and it killed off about every weed. Big patches of weeds became bare spots then the grass filled in and thickened, turned a nice darker green. Grass started spreading to the red dirt spots.

Neighbor across the road could tell a difference from her house a good distance back from the road away from ours and asked me “what did you do to your yard? It looks good”. I’d recommend putting it down a bit heavier than instructed if you have a serious weed problem as long as it won’t run into a creek or other water source.

Be ready to mow the yard because it will make your grass grow.

Have had good results with Scotts Crabgrass Preventer. Its finer texture seems to provide more even application compared to the larger granules in other brands. It claims to be “season-long” protection vs.

3-4 months as mentioned by some competitors. I just applied it a few days ago, so only time will tell if the current product works as well at preventing crabgrass as it has in the past for me. My frustration with the product solely lies with BJ’s.

I discovered that a special/reduced price on the website was only for online orders. In- store pricing was $5 higher. NO WHERE WAS THAT MENTIONED in the online posting. I had to place an online order, then return to do a store pickup.

After buying a couple different brush killer products from the big box stores that failed to produce any results I decided to give this stuff a try. I’m glad I did. Check out the photo. I recently purchased a home and the backyard is covered in English ivy.

I mixed this product at a ratio of 10. 5 oz to 1 gal of water and strayed until dripping off the leaves. BE PATIENT. This photo was taken approximately 3 weeks after ONE application!.

Roundup PRO Concentrate works perfectly for keeping the weeds out of my gravel driveway. Just a few sprays a year and I’m good to go. It’s also ideal for grooming fence lines. I weed wacked my fence lines once and decided from that day I would make a habit of spraying them since its sooooo much easier.

This weeder was powerful and sturdy. Fun for the entrie family. Great for use in flower beds! The release mechanism takes some getting use to. You have to remember the deeper you the pedal into the ground the more force it will require to release the weed from the tool.

So for small weeds you only need to apply a small amount of pressure to extract the weed. Also the large hole afterwards made me uneasy. So for use in grass I was hesistant as I didn’t know how to address the large holes left behind.

But for my garden bed the tool was excellent.

Excellent service. Ames makes the best garden tools in the United States. This Stand-Up Weeder will get extract those nasty Johnson grass roots. This is a terrific tool. Walmart got this to me expeditiously.

I had read about this tool in other blogs. Apparently this was resurrected and now sold at B M stores. Its got the problem of not discharging the weed just pulled Sticks badly. The lever seems not to be engaging.

Not sure if this is worth the trouble if you have clay soil. Or nasty weed grass.

This is the first weed killer that has ever actually worked for me. Its not watery like round up and weed b gone. This stuff leaves a coating on the weeds and takes a few hours to work but it literally kills whatever you spray it on so be mindful in a garden.

It’s pretty pricey but so worth it if you’re trying to clear excessive growth. I personally didn’t dilute it as directed, I mixed it stronger because I didn’t want to take any chances. I will absolutely purchase again and I absolutely recommend this product.

This year has been frustrating. I used to use a weed killer made by PRONTO. It as unparalleled. I tried Farmworks with Glyphosate 43. 9% like the PRONTO and it was useless. I upgraded to this 53. 8% and it’s finally starting to work.

It isn’t as good as PRONTO but the 53. 8% is closer.

This great to use along a fence line, where it’s more difficult to mow or use a string trimmer. Be patient on this, though, as it could take up to 2 weeks for it to show progress. It needs time to reach the roots.

Definitely recommend this to keep your weeds under control!!.

Purchased a reported 20 pounds of crown vetch seed, said to be 80% or higher germination, it was 72% germination. The 20 pounds of seed turned out to be 12. 8 pounds of seed, the rest inert. A total misrepresentation on the sale that they refused to correct.

If the rating would allow a negative it would be a minus 5 because of misrepresentation, selling a poor quality seed and terrible customer service.

From what I’m reading about the crown vetch that I planted, it will take some time to get established. @ 2 months after seeding, no signs of life yet. I have worked my butt off keeping the areas watered properly.

I will continue to be patient for now, but I really need the help of the crown vetch to help stabilize. As for Hancock, seed arrived when promised, pricing was the best I could find, and packaging was very good.

Would definitely buy more seed from them, but could use some advise on anything else I could do to help the crown vetch take off, or some other quick growing seed to supplement stabilization till the crown takes over.

Seed is planted. Getting good rain. This can take two years to come up. But I planted some a few years back in another area,and it’s doing great. Vary happy with the product.

Upon opening the package, it was apparent that something had leaked onto the jug of Pramitol I received. I was not sure if my bottle had leaked or another jug at the vendor. I applied the Pramitol at a rate of about one cup to a gallon of water and applied to an area of about 400 sq feet during light drizzle, followed by rain.

Mixture was applied to a driveway with young weeds some of which are ‘stinknet’ After about a week, I see minimal signs of weeds dying off. The rate of new weed growth is also minimal so maybe it is controlling that.

I am having better luck with cheaper mixtures of Glyphosate concentrate and Diquat and DIbromide. It seems to event be controlling the ‘Stinknet’ that has invaded my ranch in Arizona.

If you are having problems with pine bore Beatles this is your best defense. I’ve tried other things and this stuff seems to work. Spray the trunks of the trees in very early spring before they become active and rise into the branches.

Make sure you use a good mask/respirator when spraying this product.
