Bought one about two years ago. I’ve used two other leading brands as well ( for many years). I use a stainless bottle exclusively in the house all year. In terms of heat or cold retention, this bottle is the best.
This one I use primarily, for cold water with a bit of fruit juice added. If It’s to drink right away, I don’t prime it. If it’s for later in the day, I do. I have on occasion left it from one morning to the next and it is still refreshingly cold.
I always unlock and lock the lid. For outdoor use, being slender in shape, it slides perfectly into a shoulder bag and fits into all cup holders in cars. Not all bottles can do that. For hot coffee, it’s great if you’re going on a long drive.
It’s the one you can open 3-4 hours down the road. I don’t use it right after I fill it with a hot drink as I’ve found it retains heat like nothing else I’ve tried, so it’s too hot to drink right away.
hot and cold retention is excellent. The flip top lid is extremely good. You can tip it up and still see past the lid. The mouthpiece is very well designed and narrows the flow to avoid spillage and creates a swirling sensation that almost feels like the drink is carbonated (it isn’t).
For cold drinks, I find that ideal. Being slender, having an easily unlocked lid, that flips up out of the way all with one hand, makes it the only bottle I’ve ever had that allows one hand access and control while not interfering with sight lines.
I’ve recommended this bottle specifically, to many friends. I’ve never recommended any of the other brands I’ve tried. No leak (I had three bottles of another leading maker and all leaked any time they were anything but perfectly upright).

Dented one but that was throwing my bag down 20 feet onto rocks. Bottle still works, but dented. And they keep things super hot. If you out in look warm coffee its not gonna hold its heat. But i use for tea all the time and if unopened will be piping hot if started with boiling water.
I usually have to add cold water so i can drink it within first 4 hours. I also work outside in winter in up to -30 and this thing is still great. Could they be a tiny more durable, yes, but then they wouldbn’t be this light; trade offs.

Best water bottle I’ve ever had. I have it in the 500ml and the 1000. Super durable, super light, and despite what it says in the description, the 1000 is water filter compatible. There is simply no better water bottle on the market, and the 1000 can work as a personal thermos for one, or be shared for a day out with a friend.
The 500 fits in the side pockets of a fjallraven kanken. You just can’t do better than this bottle for hiking or everyday use. It combines all the best features of a Nalgene with all the best features of a Hydroflask but insulates so much better, and no matter how many times I drop it, it just keeps on going.

Karter Scientific glass is what I get for mixing flasks and beakers, without exception. It is just great stuff for the price. This was the best deal I could find on this size flask. It was delivered much faster than expected and packaged professionally.
All pertinent in my book. So far I have only performed one reaction in it and it worked exactly as expected. The only caveat is that the bung/stopper that it comes with is not particularly chemically resistant.
Warm NOx gases were enough to deteriorate it a bit. So if you are using this for some home brewing, less reactive chemical applications, etc, probably not a big deal. Otherwise, count on visiting the hardware store for a new one.
You could also look into cork or some fluorinated polymer, etc. Considering the price basically made the stopper more or less a freebie, not work deducting a whole star. Maybe a 1/4 of one, but no more.

Quality of glass appears to be as good as pyrex or kimax at a fraction of the cost. One piece in a set of beakers had some partial off kilter graduations. But measurement accuracy is still possible. Otherwise every other piece was perfect!.

Ok, it was an impulse buy, but it has turned out to be surprisingly useful. I attached on to the water bottle I keep bedside and it helps when I wake in the night needing a sip of water, especially when I knock the bottle off the nightstand.
I also drop one in a shot glass I keep on the nightstand with meds I might need in the night. I use a small UV led flashlight to charge them up for maybe a minute or two and get sufficient glow all night to locate my water and my pill.
I bought the green/yellow one. It charges quickly and glows all night. I try to keep my bedroom very dark and use it near the light switch for when I need to get up in the night. I don’t have to fumble around trying to locate the light.

This is a good glow paint for black gun sights. It is a small bottle but enough to paint the sights on my 3 hand guns, 2 long guns, with some left over. It comes with wooden dowl pointed on one end and round on the other as the applicator.
I used it some but used a small paint brush mostly. It is water soluble, so you can thin it with a drop of water. It has to be put on thick to coat fully. I applied 2 to 4 coats on most sights. As suggested in the instructions I painted the sights with clear nail polish to protect the paint coating after the paint dried for about 24 hours.
The paint when exposed to strong light glows very brightly for a time, but once placed out of light the paint does not glow. However, the painted sights are still more visible when not glowing than a not painted black sight when pointed at a dark target.
Over all it is a good value and I would recommend it for any metal or plastic gun sights.

Glow paint glows! This was very easy to apply and it lays pretty much where you put it and it doesnt run unless you put a massive amount in one area. Followed the instructions and I had no issues. I later used this on the tv remote for the volume arrows.
It does take a moment of hi intensity light to get it wow bright but a few seconds of led light last a little while. This will not replace night sights but for fixed sights or something you dont want to spend the money on night sights this is a good alternative.

I bought this and the larger GSI Microlite 720 Flip at the same time, and while this is a nice bottle and has good insulation, the 720 is superior in build quality of the lid. The 500 lock is too light and can easily be unlocked accidentally.
I wouldn’t trust it in a densely packed bag. The 720 lock has a hefty click to it. Both bottles have a spring-loaded top that pops open when you press the button, and the top soft-locks open once it swings all the way back.
But the spring in the 500 is not strong enough to flip the lid all the way back to soft-lock, so if you don’t push it all the way back manually, the lid will bump you in the nose if you tilt the bottle all the way up.
The spring on the 720 is much stronger and the lid soft-locks back every time. Both bottles do a good job of insulating and the lids are easy to clean, which was my #1 criterion in selecting a bottle.
I do prefer the stainless steel finish of the 500 over the textured feel of the 720.
