Mizuno Ambition 2 TPU Low Men's Molded Baseball Cleat – Black White
Great shoe! We got the navy and the color is nice. They just got super muddy this last weekend and cleaned easily with just a good wipe. I was concerned as they have more of a fabric base than our past cleats but it was not an issue.
In fact I love how they were soft, flexible and ready to go when my daughter put them on. No need to break-in like some of her past cleats. They have a great toe on them which is great for pitchers. Will totally purchase again!.
I’m not going to lie. I bought these because the price was right and I was not 100% how much I would need them. However, I have been very pleasantly surprised by their comfort, durability, and effectiveness.
I think I found a real gem while bargain shopping and have been using them quite a bit.
Combining the function and comfort sought by every level of player, the FuelCell PL4040v6 is a game changer. This men’s baseball shoe features a cushioned FuelCell midsole helps propel you forward as you round the bases or step up to the plate.
Fit Weave in the upper uses our latest technology to deliver durability and stretch exactly where you need it. With a low-cut TPU-cleated design that is lighter and more comfortable than metal, this shoe helps provide a fast and energetic feel on both turf and natural surfaces.
I was a Nike head playing all the way through Div. 1 college baseball. Over the last 12 years I’ve enjoyed trying out different products from different brands while playing in competitive men’s baseball leagues.
I can honestly say that out of the box, these were the most comfortable cleats I’ve put on my feet. The Fit Weave upper is breathable, soft, and seems to mold to your feet. With many baseball cleats, the toe area is reinforced with harder materials for durability against movements such as toe drag.
I’ve had plenty of issues in this area from jamming my big toe into the front of my cleats while running bases. These cleats manage to keep that area soft yet durable which eliminated that problem for me.
No more toe pain, exactly what I’d always been looking for. Over the course of the season however, the upper seemed to continue to get softer and softer, therefore become slightly less supportive. I had to continue to tighten my laces more and more to keep my forefoot from shifting slightly side to side on lateral movements (i.
e. first step stealing second). Another factor involving the lack of lateral support is the actual material of the outsole/cleats. Like other reviews have said, it’s simply too soft. I personally didn’t have any longevity issues with them lasting through the season, but on specific movements such as rounding bases while running hard, or a first step to steal, the outer cleats seem to almost give out and fold under your feet.
That sensation combined with a soft upper took a bit of confidence away from being able to round the bases at 100% or react defensively to a ground ball in the hole. I assume this issue is nonexistent with the metal version due to the fact that it’s a harder material, but that shouldn’t matter.
It is not a good thing for a cleat that’s supposed to be built for speed. Lateral support issues aside, the FuelCell midsole stayed soft and responsive all season, a definite positive to go along with the overall comfort.
At the end of the season, I still enjoyed using this cleat and still recommend it to my team mates. The comfort of New Balance has fully converted me from Nike. I loved this cleat but it’s not perfect.
It has great potential if New Balance can manage to keep it lightweight while reinforcing the lateral support specifically around the forefoot. If they do that in the future, it would no doubt be a 5 star baseball cleat.
See my review on the soccer turfs. My loyalty for NB is legendary. Really the only major athletic shoe company that not only makes but specializes in multiple widths. So to recently buy TWO pair of 2E turf shoes and barely squeeze into one, and fail completely to get into the other, was extremely frustrating and disappointing.
The shoes felt as if they went the other way- opposite of 2E and 4E. I even went up a half size to be sure. And also the built in one piece tongue – take that idea out behind the barn and shoot it. Anything that RESTRICTS one’s ability to smoothly and easily get one’s foot into their shoe is a BAD feature.
If I have to carry around a shoe horn to pry and wedge myself into my athletic shoes then they aren’t athletic shoes. Step up your game NB – you’re slipping.
I’m writing this in the middle of December in the midwest. So my softball season is done for the winter, but the couple of times I wore these cleats to start breaking them in, I am very happy! IMO they are better than the 4040v5 from last year.
My big negative about the 4040v5 was the tongue. Once I started warming up or playing the tongue would fall off to a side and mess with the feeling of the cleat for me. The 4040v6 looks like the tongue is back to a traditional tongue and has stayed in place so far.
The cleat is very light, the insole makes this cleat comfortable to wear and play in. Last years model was comfortable as well. So if you’re looking for comfort New Balance has been 5 stars! I cannot wait for spring time, so I can really get after it in these cleats, but so far I have a great feeling about these cleats!.
The Nike Nike Alpha Huarache 3 Varsity Men’s Low Molded Baseball Cleats is designed for any position on the field with balance of traction and comfort. A podular sole plate gives you traction that flexes with your step for comfort through the last inning.
Synthetic material gives you a secure feel that lasts. Foam cushioning provides a comfortable ride and helps reduce stud pressure. Podular sole plate with MCS spikes provides vicious traction with flex for comfort.
Got these for my 13u son. He was excited to get these good looking Nikes. They have played well for him, but feel cheaply made due to the materials. He describes them as below average on comfort due to the thin materials.
As a parent I have observed they have not held up as well as last pair of Icon6 mids which went spring to fall. Not sure if we’ll get half of that, padding packed down and sole starting to separate.
Great cleats! Excellent fit! I was a little worried because Nike typically sizes a little smaller than the stated size on me. However, I wear a size 12 running shoe and these fit just like my running shoes.
Replaced a pair of New Balances with these, due to those being uncomfortable. The comfort and quality are great here, just as you would expect from Nike. The quality is as good as any of their shoes, so you can’t go wrong.
Molded heel, stretch collar & textile forefoot make it fit & feel like a sneaker. Soft suede panels for enhanced stability & a locked-in fit. Super-ventilated tongue construction helps keeps you cool.
Added cushion around the heel & tounge provide ultimate, step-in comfort. Plush sockliner molds perfectly to your foot. Charged Cushioning midsole converts impact into explosive speed & power on the diamond.
Lightweight, low-profile outsole features 9 metal cleats for optimal speed & power. Weight: 12. 3 oz.
Unfortunately, these turf shoes left my son’s feet VERY sore after a lengthy field workout. This design with the spiked tread appears to be the new trend in turf design, and I have tried more than one brand, but they all appear to exert a lot of pressure on the feet, to the point that my player is left hobbling after a workout, in need of ice and rest.
There isn’t enough support inside the shoe ever – not a bit of give to the insole. We had to buy an insole to make the fit more supportive. We ended up buying an old model of New Balance: T3000v5 turf shoes.
They have flat, waffled tread (which still provide appropriate grip on turf), and they have markedly reduced the post-workout foot fatigue. This spike design is not a postive trend in turf baseball shoes.
They are terrible for growing boys’ feet, especially those who are dealing with common growth-related issues like Sever’s.
These base shoes for umpiring NCAA Div I baseball are fantastic. I love the comfort, breathe ability, wide toe box, and appearance of these shoes. I purchased the black on white style for umpiring. They clean up extremely easy after working on grass or turf surface.
I didn’t have to “break them in” before wearing them in a game. The traction these shoes provide is amazing; well worth the purchase.

My son’s toes were about to come out of his size 2. 5 Nike’s, so I picked these up which have good arch support. I feel & inspect the inside sole on all shoes b/c my older daughter got collapsed arches at 8 yrs old from were flats too much & she has high arches.
People don’t realize how important soles are for your feet & your body, I spend more on soles inserts for my daughter now than her shoes. I got a size 3 for my son & they fit perfect also perfectly wide, not narrow.
And a 3. 5 is what I would of got if it was the same Nike’s. I would say this shoe in a size 3 fits like a Nike if they made a size 3. 25 imo. Remember rubber cleats are always better for baseball b/c a lot of football cleats & soccer cleats will be a slip & fall waiting to happen on concrete dug outs.
Been playing baseball for years for 8 months out of every year between school and travel ball. These cleats have a softer cushion and are not near as narrow as the others I’ve had in the previous years.
I am in cleats for about 30-40 hours a week. Completely worth the extra few dollars that I normally spend.
Featuring revolutionary DiamondTips technology, this Under Armour baseball cleat is the first of its kind to combine the comfort and light weight of molded Pebax with the traction of metal. ClutchFit wraps around your foot like a “second skin” to lock your foot in place.
Integrated 3D-molded tongue hugs the foot for optimal fit and feel. Full-length Micro G cushioning delivers lightweight comfort. Molded 4D foam insole absorbs shock. Wt. 13. 4 oz.
I can’t tell you anything about the performance of the shoe. Our grandson wanted “metal” cleats for next baseball season. The shoes are still in the box, wrapped in Christmas paper, but he is excited about having picked them out and he knows he will get them.
Thanks for the effortless on line shopping experience and the quick turn around. Merry Christmas.
Ordered half size bigger than usual and fit perfect. Shoe is comfortable and seems well made. I wear them to coach baseball and the traction is almost as good as cleats with more comfort. Like the look of UA compared to New Balance in which I also looked at.
My son accidentally left his cleats at the field the night before a showcase event. League outfitters had his size! When I arrived to purchase them, I was in a huge rush and they were having issues with their computer so I left cash for the purchase price on the box.
A couple hours later, I received an email with my receipt, that I had overpaid and they had my change there waiting for me.
The Mizuno Dominant IC. Each shoe crafted for innovative comfort, soft flexibility and superior cushioning. Currently worn by Mizuno Pros like Adam Wainwright, Dominant IC is the most naturally fitting and comfortable baseball cleat ever designed.
Its anatomical shape provides a superior natural baseball fit that is contoured to perfectly fit your foot. U4icX, the next generation of Mizuno’s soft, responsive and resilient mid-sole material, delivers an even more luxurious cushioning experience.
Bootie construction inside the shoe provides a soft and secure fit, complimenting the supportive 3-layer, no-sew upper designed for optimum stability, durability, and comfort.
My daughter loves this brand and she loves her cleats! She says they are very comfortable and get great traction on the field! They’re also true to size as well along with your tennis shoe size that is.
She’s usually really picky when it comes to her shoes and clothes so for her to like them is a big thing! I like the quality for the price and I would definately repurchase another pair if needed and would recommend them to anyone as well!! Thanks Dicks for the fast delivery to my home, for this busy mama it makes all the difference and helps me out alot!!.
Mizuno makes a gray ladies cleat that fits true to size. The metal cleats last a long time with normal usage. We play a lot of travel tournaments at least 2-3 weekends a month and usually two day tournaments.
These cleats will last through tournaments and practices.
Bought for my daughter. This will be the second set of this exact cleat! Just went up a size. I did have to buy these because the old ones were tearing apart near the toes. They do play hard, but wish they would have lasted slightly longer.
Get the cushioned comfort and traction you need with the New Balance 4040v5 Metal Low. Synthetic nubuck upper with perforations for breathable comfort. TPU film overlay on toe for durability. Thin, elasticated, molded foam tongue for a snug fit.
Super nylon combat mesh collar lining. Kinetic Stitch based on baseball data. Full-length REVlite midsole for a responsive, cushioned feel underfoot. Baseball-specific 8-spike configuration for reliable traction.
Love New Balance spikes but Dick’s failed to remove the security tag from the shoes so we could not wear them until we physically took them to the store to request they remove the tag. The store was quick, kind, and apologetic which I appreciate.
But extremely disappointed I had to take the time to go into the store for this. Is this a new Dick’s security policy? And, I’m wondering how they got the shoes out of the warehouse with the tag still on? :-).
Great looking shoe, but too narrow. Have bought New Balance before with no problem with size. Maybe the style of this shoe changed the width. Disappointed because couldn’t order the wider width size in any of the New Balance cleats.
The package was sent quickly and there was great communication as to when it was shipped. The spikes are as comfortable as any pair I have worn. They may be “dad shoes” but the don’t hurt your feet after a weekend tournament and that’s what matters.
Light weight, comfortable, good looking and durable.
Dominate the diamond with these New Balance 3000v5 Metal Low Baseball Cleat. Designed with an 8-spike plate engineered specifically for baseball this shoe has a full length Fresh-Foam midsole that is lighter and more responsive than the previous edition of this cleat.
Soft and supportive Ultra Heel. Super Nylon Combat Mesh collar lining. Contrast patterns highlights diverse function. TPU/Poly Combo Mesh Vamp: 30% TPU, 70% textile. Lace Cage.
My daughter pitches, with an overly aggressive toe drag probably the primary problem she’s working to overcome. This means I’ve spent much of the past two years holding base-level, $25 cleats together with copious amounts of Shoe Goo.
Between the aforementioned challenge and the sheer difficulty in finding molded cleats right now, we decided to splurge on the Velo, which has a raised, hard plastic shield where her toe drags (or at least should drag).
The quality upgrade is obvious, with her only concerns being the slightly longer cleats (slippery on hard surfaces, great on the field) and the different cleat pattern from her former Nikes, which caused her some frustration while attempting to set up on the rubber the first time out.
She seems to have adjusted. I checked the cleats out after a couple weeks of outdoor practices and her first game last night, and they’re holding up without the Goo. If they can contain her feet through the summer and into the fall, I’ll consider it a good investment and a win.
I really hope I got a defective pair because the pair I received rates far below any previous pair I have purchased. A number of huge issues with the cleats, 1. The cleats are not hard rubber molds like prior years.
They are some kind of plastic. The plastic instantly wears down. Mine are near nubs after only a couple weeks use. 2. When I put on the cleats for the first time, I nearly rolled my ankle just standing up.
The cleats were bending due to the plastic molds and I was actually wobbling when taking a step. 3. Because the cleat molds are plastic, they don’t dig into the ground. I slipped/skidded more than a few times in games.
I used these shoes for several games to see if they would get better. Unfortunately it has not. I’m very disappointed in the quality of this shoe. It’s almost a safety hazard.
Have always only ever used NEW BALANCE TURFS for our youth travel baseball INDOOR training facility. Love the comfort but lately the craftsmanship is subpar. Purchased a pair and the part of the sole that rolls up onto the front of the toe had peeled away almost immediately.
We went through the return process and once we were Refunded our money we purchased another pair. 3 wears (lass than 1 week) after receiving them, the same exact thing happened. I’m not sure if they have recently changed their glue or they’ve just lost their touch but this isn’t acceptable.
We have literally owned over 20 pairs of these and this just started happening. I’m moving to a different brand because the return process is too long and arduous to even bother and I don’t have the time to worry about brand new items falling apart.

this is my son’s 3rd pair in 2 years. he loves them and they get a lot of use. feels comfy and are supportive. he plays first, pitches, and catches. feels good wearing these in all the positions.
We got these for our 13-year-old son. He couldn’t find them in the store so we had to buy them online. Once we got them he tried them on and they were super comfortable and very stylish looking. Very happy with the purchase.
I bought these about a month ago and my son has worn them a few times during practice. He loves them! He has mentioned they are comfortable and has great traction on the field.
Get the support you need to turn single into doubles. These adidas baseball cleats are designed for speedsters, featuring a lightweight upper and midsole cushioning for comfortable strides. The wide lacing system provides lockdown in specific areas, so feel free to swing away and get ready to run.
I bought these cleats for my daughter at a competitive price. I could not find them cheaper anywhere else. She says they are lightweight and very comfortable. I thought they might get extremely dirty from the clay but have stayed pretty clean.
After several weekend tournaments, they seem to be holding up well. Good quality. I have no regrets on purchasing. I would highly recommend these cleats to anyone.
These cleats are very comfortable. Takes a second to get on, but the dynamic fit is very comfortable. The hold on the bottom plate peels off immediately. Kind of pointless. Cleats are very comfortable.
Steal the show when you sport these Under Armour Leadoff Low Baseball Cleats. Designed with a full-length EVA midsole for added comfort, cushioning that evenly distributes cleat pressure underfoot. This cleat also includes a synthetic upper which is lightweight & durable with perforations in the toe box for added breathability.
Durable overlay on toe cap for added protection. Padded collar & heel construction for ultimate step-in comfort. Rubber molded cleats provide optimal traction & durability on all field surfaces.
We’ve purchased a few youth-sized pairs over the years and happily converted over to adult sizes. The in-store selections are limited, so, unfortunately, need to have them shipped to the house. They typically arrive within a week (a few days earlier than we were originally told), so my son was happy he didn’t have to keep wearing his smaller pair.
I appreciate BH and UA not price gouging these cleats; by far the best price for the cleats you’ll find. The next step should be color customization!.
Have had a few weeks. Left strap isn’t close to even strapping. Extremely narrow. Had to buy a completely pair. Under armour reached out via email to reimburse us but when I responded they never replied.
This is 2 years in a row these cleats have ran extremely small and narrow. Terrible product with a great players name attached to it. Sucks because there are so few options for kids at the moment.
The fit is perfect y and the cleats are more of a grippy hard rubber than his last ones where the cleats were slippery bc they were so hard. He likes how it comes up around to give his ankle more protection.
However delivery was late and I received no update for ETA. I tried calling a store bc there was no customer service number to reach about my online purchase. They arrived a few days later. Non the less he loves the cleats!.

TuffTek reinforced toe Coolflo midsole technology Molded EVA midsole for cushioning Easy clean synthetic upper TuffTek reinforced toe for abrasion and durability Coolflo midsole technology Molded EVA midsole for cushioning Durable rubber cleats Available in select stores.
Cheaper than others I found, even at a used sporting goods consignment style shop. My 2nd grader likes these a lot for machine pitch baseball rec league. A teammate ran out to get a pair to match and is glad he did.
Both kids shoes are still looking great and the season is halfway over. Thanks, Academy!.
These are great little cleats for my 5 y/o daughter. She loves the color and says they are very comfortable. They’re easy to get on and off and the laces stay tied without having to double knot them.
They clean up super easy and that’s a big plus in this mom’s book!.
My 11 year old son is now in men’s sizes. He also has a wide feet and has had heel trouble in the past. These shoes are comfy and plenty wide. They do run true to size or just a tad big as he wears a 7-7.
5 in other shoes and cleats and he needed the 7 in these.

Bought these and immediately impressed. UA hit it out with these. Well made, very attractive and fit like sneakers. Wear a 10, a little snug across the width, toe still has good room. May want to order.
5 size up. Otherwise, terrific and they will stretch out after some wear.
My son chose these right away! I personally thought they were one of the best options Dick’s currently has available for sale also. This style comes in three different colors, which I always find great, especially when buying for multiple children.
Purchased for 14U son that plays catcher and pitcher. Recommended from a college player who was also a pitcher. Comfortable and seems easier to run in the sense that he is lighter on his feet. These have the metal cleats in the front and the molded cleats in the back.

EVA Midsole Full length midsole: Heel to toe cushioning for ultimate comfort. Spikes strategically positioned to maximize movement and traction.
My son has wider feet so Mizuno does a greta job with designing a shoe that fits him. So many cleats are narrow it’s hard to find a show that works. I love the fit and design of this cleat. Good enough ankle support for my 10 year old.
Had a tough time finding metal cleats at any retailers in Michigan. I ordered these for my son and he loves them. They’re comfortable and a good quality product. Shipping was free and super fast as well.
Features comfort collar, fresh foam inner sole, breathable synthetic mesh upper with a bootie construction 2E Wide Fit – but fine for standard feet also Mid Cleat for more support.
The 3030 has been my son’s go to cleat for 3 years now. In my opinion, version 3 and 4 have been the best because of the fixed rubber insole (east to clean and stays put). The 3030 v5 went to a clothe insole that moved and squished up to the toes.
We had to replace it with a store bought insole. So, this was an exciting find in his size.
Bought these for my 11yo. He says they are the most comfortable cleat he has worn. The down side is they havent lasted. We still have a couple months of ball left and I dont think they will make it. The plastic bottom is split and allows moisture in.
The spikes are almost worn to nothing. We buy a new pair of cleats every year for baseball. This is our first pair of NB and our first pair to make a whole season. Its too bad because the comfort is there.
Great Senior Softball cleats! Been wearing New Balance cleats for four years and gone through three pairs. Learned that they run a little small so I went up a half size this time and it made all the difference.
One of the main reasons I go with New Balance products is the availability of wide sizes. Even if you get a wide size, each of my cleat purchases seemed a bit more narrow than I expected. Sneakers have been spot on though.
Round the bases and score some runs for your team with the New Balance Men’s Tupelo Low-Cut Molded Baseball Cleats. You’ll train smarter with these cleats so you can hit those line drives and make those tough plays that ensure a memorable game.
Featuring a TPU-plate Tupelo design, these shoes offer a breathable, comfortable fit that is sure to enhance your performance on the diamond.
