20 Best Pillow For Tmj Side Sleeper (2023 Updated)

It is so comfortable. The shorter height is perfect for me, and the curved shape is perfect for my ovaloid noggin. The foam is just the right soft. It seems crazy that a pillow would make such a difference in my sleep, but thus far I have slept upon it for about a week and I no longer turn about in my sleep to get comfortable; I find that I lay down, feel extremely comfortable, fall asleep, and wake up in the same position but completely refreshed! It’s unreal.

Feels almost like latex.

This is a great buy iv been using a neck contour pillow for several years and this is one of the best iv had. I recently purchased a pillow for 250. 00 that you let air in to make it how it is comfortable to you and this was the worst buy iv ever done.

I was shocked buy how comfortable it is because the price is very reasonable.

I have arthritis in my spine, now in the cervical (neck) area which becomes painful if I exercise wrong. I’ve had weeks of neck and shoulder pain and after one night with this pillow, I have had great relief.

I highly recommend it. It is comfortable–more comfortable than any pillow I’ve had. I’m taking this on my vacation!!!!.

This is a very firm pillow. It is also much smaller than a regular size pillow so standard pillow cases are big on it. It has taken me a few weeks to get used to it. It is ok when you sleep on your back but super firm if you sleep on your sides.

I wish the pillow was the size of a regular pillow and got a little softer as it went out toward the edges to make it softer to hold when you sleep on the side. It does a great job of making your neck supported while you sleep.

It is a little small but that works for side sleeping so my arm can rest beside the pillow and not on it so it can fall asleep. It is pretty firm. I need something that doesn’t put so much pressure on old brain surgery scars, but I can see this working well for others.

Seems well made and didn’t have a bad odor like others I’ve tried. If you do want to use a standard pillow case, you may need to tweek it because the pillow is quite a bit shorter and narrower. I knew this because the dimensions were listed, so not a complaint, just a heads up!.

I was skeptical when I first opened the box. The pillow is much smaller than I expected, however, it delivers a great night’s sleep. I have never been a back sleeper but due to a recent surgery have been needing to make a change and I am sleeping great.

I do still use my regular pillow in conjunction with this pillow.

I’m a two-pillow sleeper but not anymore. Before this I had 2 memory foam pillows, one super firm for the bottom, one super soft on top. I liked the soft foam but always sank too much into it without another pillow below.

Bought this Sealy and another memory foam pillow to replace my old two. The Sealy arrived first, I slept on it one night on it’s own and immediately arranged a refund for the other pillow, I definitely don’t need two.

This Sealy is perfect, soft and comfortable but form enough to satisfy a two-pillow sleeper on it’s own. So it saved me another $30.

I purchased what looked like the same pillow that I had previously purchased several years ago. While it looks the same, the feel is totally different. This pillow was extremely firm with no give at all.

The marketing people in the bedding industry must have thought they’d died and gone to heaven when they found out about Nasa’s memory foam. It was originally invented for spacemen trying to sleep in weightless conditions without being rigidly strapped in to their bunks, but virtually every bedding shop now sells it to people on earth, of whom very few are actually weightless.

It costs cents to make but is unashamedly sold for hundreds if not thousands of dollars. Unfortunately it’s made of oil and synthetic rubber with lots of electricity and so is hardly eco-friendly, but when did industry ever worry about a little thing like that.

As I wanted a whole new outfit, the saleswoman recommended a Tempur Sonata memory foam pillow designed for side sleepers like me. This turned out to be a small, heart-shaped pillow, seemingly quite firm, but not that thick.

After a week of nagging neck pain I sold it on Gumtree and bought a Tempur “Original” contour pillow, also made of memory foam and quite firm, but much wider and bigger all round. It has a pronounced ridge along the front edge which supports the neck and straightens out the spine, and although you still sink into the foam somewhat, it really does provide good support.

For me, it works. It’s easily the best pillow I’ve ever had, and I’ll never go back to a conventional filled pillow. It’s very expensive for just a foam pillow, and it takes a bit of getting used to, but it is supremely comfortable and does provide a good night’s sleep.

I had a permanent tension/TMJ headache accompanied by pulsatile tinnitus ever since returning to work in November. I got this pillow in January and my headache and tinnitus went almost immediately after the first night using it.

The two different height profiles are just right – the small one is great for back sleeping and the high one is great for side sleeping. I now no longer have to keep adding or taking away pillows when I change position – I just turn it around.

This is not cheap but it’s definitely worth it. It’s great quality and I suspect it will last for ages.

I first want to start off with my experience with my older pillows. They were nice, but I would almost always wake up with a messed up neck or my head would be hurting. Since I’ve been using these pillows, I can honestly say, I have not woke up with any neck pains or headaches (knock on wood).

These are memory foam, which is nice. They do have a curve to it on one side and the other side is flat. The curve definitely takes some getting used to, but once you do, it is so nice. I often have my arm under my pillow while I am sleeping, with the underside being flat, that took some getting used to for me as well! All in all, I am so pleased! It’s been so nice waking up without pains!.

I already had one that I bought several years ago. It did take me a few nights to get used to it as the pillow I had was much softer. I LOVE it, though. I sleep so much better and it fits my neck and head perfectly.

The only difference, the first one had less of the blue, cooling part. This one that part is much bigger. But, that is under a zippered, removable cover that is washable. It’s really well made and has lasted well and is still in excellent shape.

Great quality pillow with nice washable cover to keep the pillow inside nice for a long time. Also, has height difference on one side vs the other so you can choose what fits your head and neck best.

If you spend time in middle of night trying to tuck/bunch a regular pillow under your head and neck, this could be a good solution for you. Got on deal of day. Get firmness best for you.

The moment I laid my head on this pillow I could tell the difference from my regular pillow. It felt magical, I was actually comfortable for once! I had the best sleep ever that night. It provides me with the perfect amount of support, firmness, and softness! Both the small and large rounded contour sides work well too.

I personally prefer the small side. It also has a cooling gel pad on top which is a nice addition. This pillow has been a true life saver for me. I had been having trouble sleeping for weeks due to neck pain and since sleeping on this pillow I’ve almost got all the kinks worked out in my neck, and I am sleeping so much better! I feel completely rejuvenated each morning now.

This pillow is perfect for people like me who struggle with a tight neck. Working at the computer a lot leaves my neck extremely tight, and gives me tension headaches often. I had not realized that if your neck is not supported during sleep, the muscles never relax.

I would originally bunch up my pillow under my neck, but this pillow showed me how inadequate that system was! It has two rounded sides, one larger than the other, so you can choose which size feels best.

I use the larger size because it is comfortable and I really feel that my neck is supported while I sleep. Plus, it is memory foam so even when I sleep on my side, my neck is comfortable and my face can comfortably rest on the pillow.

I have really noticed a difference and would recommend this product to anyone with a tight neck!.

A memory foam contour pillow offers good neck and head support for either side or back sleepers. I’ve been using one for years and years to prevent headaches I was getting due to a stiff neck. I’ve had many types of foam pillows over the years : stiff foam, egg crate foam, firm memory foam.

This particular pillow is quite different from any other I have tried. It’s a soft, squishy memory foam that is still quite supportive. It’s also perforated with holes which are about nickel size. to allow for air flow, if you’re a hot sleeper.

What’s great about a contour pillow is that it can be used one way if you’re a larger person, turn it to adapt to a smaller framed person or to give support to a back sleeper. I sleep every night on a contour pillow , and I’m so happy to have found a pillow that offers a softer, yet supportive option.

I don’t agree with the bad reviews at all. I’ve been using memory foam contour pillows and mattress toppers for several years so I know how true memory foam feels. They cradle and support your head and neck quite comfortably.

Many regular foam pillows are being passed off online as memory foam; however, these Sealy pillows are true memory foam that support my head and neck extremely well. The memory foam on this pillow is amazingly soft. It’s like a cloud. I love sinking my head into this Sleep Philosophy – Angel Winged Contour Foam Pillow with Removable Rayon from Bamboo/Poly Cover pillow.

The only thing I wish is it was maybe an inch or so thicker. The design is just right, comforting my head but need my neck slightly higher. I am able to prop it up some with another pillow but it doesn’t keep it flat.

It still is great memory pillow.

I really like the cushion in this curved pillow. It’s like a memory foam type cushion and is soft but not floppy or too soft. I’m a side sleeper and it has a curved shape to fit that profile. I have put it between my knees to level my body out or have my head on it for a little support but not as much as a full pillow.

My only complaint is the white color although the cover is washable. I’d like it to have colored covers to remove and purchase.

I didn’t know what to expect at first with this pillow. Its odd shape had me confused at first. After sleeping on it, I can appreciate its versatility. I mainly sleep on my back but sometimes on my side.

It gave me great back support and neck support. I slept soundly all night long.
