20 Best Pillow For Sleeping On Back (2023 Updated)

I’ve had such tough luck finding a decent pillow. I was looking for soft, but not so soft that it doesn’t hold its shape. After reading other reviews I decided to give these a try and I’m so glad I did! I first ordered two and liked them so much that I ordered two more.

Seriously the perfect pillow. I sleep on my back and both my sides – and this pillow is perfect for any position. The shipping was also very fast, which is also a plus!.

I am absolutely loving these pillows. After using regular poly-fil pillows for years and years, I opted to try these and am so glad that I did. Both my husband and I are getting much better rest and sleep on these grand down alternative pillows.

I’m not having to push and shove my pillow around to get comfortable, nor am I having to constantly fluff it up. This pillow so far has simply been a delight for me. The quality of materials and the edge stitching is of great quality also.

Would like pillow to be not so firm. It came firm but was not described as firm. I wrote a message about this to Hollander but no reply. It has been 3 weeks.

These pillows are great! They are so soft and comfortable. I bought them for myself, then my husband wanted one and then both kids. I have them in two houses and in all of the bedrooms. Guests always ask what they are! We use both styles, back and side.

The back sleeper pillow is more squishy and the side sleeper is higher and has more loft. I use both styles and just adore them! Can’t say enough positive things except they are best pillows I have ever owned and slept on.

I’m a big fan of this pillow. Got the king size of this one and the side sleeper one. They’re both unexpectedly super comfortable, but I generally prefer to sleep on my back/stomach so this one is for me and the side sleeper was given to my husband, who immediately turns to his side to fall asleep.

I’ve felt better rested and I’ve had zero neck/back pain after a few nights using it. I do really recommend this one for back/stomach sleepers… but if you already know you prefer a little height, go with the side sleeper one.

It’s the same, just has more height for side neck support.

I purchased this for my husband who has been having trouble sleeping due to getting overheated while sleeping. He tosses and turns, always trying to fluff his pillow and find a cool spot on it. It’s been a little over 1 week since he started using his new pillow and has been pleasantly surprised on the coolness and comfort of this pillow.

He sleeps on his side with his arm under the pillow and used to have his arm fall asleep, not with this one, the pillow is like a cloud that he sinks into but yet it’s not too soft, it has just the right amount of support.

He has not been tossing and turning or flipping his pillow, he’s sleeping comfortably through the night. I’m so glad that Sheex made this pillow and I’m thinking of switching my Bamboo pillow for this one.

I have to be honest. I always bought cheap 20 buck pillows and kept them for 4+ years. But recently I started sleeping less since we have a baby now, so quality sleep is important to me and my husband.

I wanted to see if expensive pillows were worth it. But I wanted something to last ofcourse, not just spend money and have it be a waste. I just bought these pg pillows and slept like a baby. You do notice how you sleep more profoundly with the right pillow.

I am a side sleeper so I bought overstuffed down alternative pillow. Wow, very thick, and fluffy but sturdy. luxurious feeling. it’s like those really expensive hotel pillows but in your house! It comes with a pillow protector you can wash so this helps to preserve the actual pillow for years to come.

For the price it’s worth it, for the one buy get one free deal it’s phenomenal! I looked at expensive brand name pillows, read countless reviews and they were not promising, then I remembered seeing a pillow guy video on tv and I decided to take a look, found reviews and was confident this was it.

I was not dissapointed! Superb quality! Yes I highly recommend it!.

Pillows are pillows. I own pillows ranging from budget to luxury. Initially, this pillow was cool to the touch, had incredible loft, and appeared destined for slumber greatness. After only two weeks of usage; however, the supposed “cooling gel,†effect from the product has vanished.

The pillow is now just another unsupportive and overheated lump. I don’t know that this product is endemic to this pillow. I’ve yet to find a pillow that is enduringly heat resistant and physically supportive.

For the price, though, I was certainly expecting to get more of a honeymoon phase that a few weeks. Those critiques notwithstanding, I would definitely like to recognize the unboxing experience of this product.

The inclusion of this item, which is actually large enough to use as a full size towel (it was laundry day and was the only clean towel I had); will probably result in me purchasing additional bath and linen products in the future.

This is now my go to pillow. I had a lot of neck strain, and I found a lot of pillows with any sort of significant height uncomfortable. I would often sleep without and pillow and still find myself with neck strain as that would lead me to turn over and sleep on my stomach during my sleep.

This pillow now allows me more sleep, run faster, lift more weights, get more girlfriends, last longer in bed, open up a small business, write a book, climb Mount Everest, fight off a lion, tame a bear, eat red meat raw, and overall be the best person I can be.

The pillow arrived wrapped in a clear plastic compressed roll with the display card well presented. Nice overall compact presentation and once the plastic was removed the pillow formed to its original size in just a few minutes making the pillow ready to use.

Nice looking pillow with a cotton cover with quality stitching throughout and no unpleasant odor when removing the outer wrap. Pillow is “Ideal for Stomach and Back Sleepers”, in researching what a stomach pillow user needs the web site sleepfoundation.

org says the user needs a thin pillow so the head and neck are not elevated causing spinal misalignment. Since I do not sleep on my stomach this pillow was too thin for my needs and did not give me a good nights rest having to fluff up the pillow to create more bulk to support my head.

For a stomach sleeper this would be an ideal pillow for minimal head support in that sleeping position.

I am genuinely happy with this pillow. The pillow caught my attention because of what the description said. I am a back sleeper and have had issues with finding the right pillow to give the proper neck support.

This pillow truly worked for me! I noticed the difference the first night I got to use it. The softness is correct, not too soft or too firm. The quality of the overall pillow is above average. I enjoy the fact that there are no feathers poking me due to the thick cover.

The pillow is very light as well. If you are having a hard time finding the right pillow with the right amount of neck support, give this one a try!.

I am great fan of Columbia and have been for many years. That’s why I thought I would try this pillow. I tried it for 5 nights and concluded that it was not as good as the down alternative pillows that I already have.

I love Columbia‘s products but this is just not worth the money at all so I returned it. When I felt it in the store I thought wow that’s really keep cool at night that is definitely not the case it does for a very short period of time and then it’s the end.

Bought my son one if these pillows from a local store. It was fantastic. Decided to get one for myself, but had to order it online since it’s no linger in the stores. It came rolled up in a plastic container.

Like several other reviews I now see, it won’t take form. Instead, it looks like an oversized crumpled potato chip. Definitely getting returned. So sad a good product is manipulated like this and rendered useless.

I’ve always been a pillow flipper. I love the cool side of the pillow. But it usually doesnt last long. With this pillow, you still have to flip, because it doesnt stay cool all the time, but it most definitely stays cool longer than the average pillow.

And it gets much cooler to the touch. It’s just the right amount of softness too, it doesnt squish completely, and it doesnt stay completely firm. It doesnt smell either. Some pillows with the cooling feature have a distinct scent that is off putting.

This is my first overstuffed pillow and I am in love! I didn’t realise just how much sleeping on the wrong pillow was affecting me. I have had the overstuffed pillow for about a month and it has made such an incredible difference in my sleep routine.

I am able to stay asleep without needing to get up and find another pillow to put under my neck for support. Though the pillow is overstuffed, it does not feel too big or bulky. It actually molds to my head and neck so I feel protected.

This set also came with an allergy free mattress protector which is also very comfy. It has a decent protective layer which keeps dust off my actual mattress. This alone has been a huge time saver, as I can now vaccum my mattress only once a month as opposed to once a week.

Overall, this set has exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with my purchase.

These have quickly become my absolute favorite pillows. It comes with 2, which is just perfect. The pillows are soft and squishy, yet supportive. It really is like laying your head on a cloud. The new Claritin® Cotton Back/Stomach Pillow S/Q is by far one of the most wonderful and cozy pillows I’ve every owned. The soft material that is used is not only hypo-allergenic, but it gives a great deal of support to my head and neck.

When I unpacked the pillow I quickly noted the zip cover and the great support it offered. After sleeping on it for a couple weeks, I’ve noticed a better night sleep and really enjoy this pillow. It hasn’t made me feel hot, and keeps my head and neck at the ideal temperature.

I’m a back, side and stomach sleeper, who alternates positions throughout the sleep cycle. I’ve found the back and side to be the most comfortable with this pillow and would highly recommend it. Claritin did a great job on this product.

I hope they never stop making this pillow! I have used these pillows for several years now, and there is no comparison! For someone with chronic back or neck pain, comfort and positioning is important.

I have not found a pillow that offers what the Claritin pillow does. Soft, yet supportive. I have tried memory foam, and other expensive pillows, but I don’t get the quality sleep like I do with this pillow.

The added bonus is that it is hypoallergenic. I am incredibly grateful I found these pillows!.

I received this pillow and I love that it helps me to wake up without having a stuffed up nose in the morning! Prior to using this pillow, every morning I would be heavy head and nose stuffed and this pillow has single handed changed that for me.

I will never have a non Claritin pillow again. I also was able to pick up a Claritin pillow protector from bed bath and beyond, it was very inexpensive. I’m hoping they come out with a body pillow in the Claritin line! This is the best pillow I have ever had! Try it you will love it!.

When I first stayed at the Disneyland Grand Californian, I couldn’t believe they had pillows that didn’t make me wake with neck pain! I got the pillow information from the concierge and it led me to Amazon where I’ve been buying the same exact Disneyland pillows for years.

Well, now that exact item is discontinued on amazon, so I found these on the downlite website. I ordered them and low and behold, they’re my beloved Disneyland pillows! Yes, they take a few nights sleep to conform to my specific neck height, but give it a few days and you’ll be sleeping like you did at Disneyland! Btw, I’m a side sleeper, so making sure I have the correct pillow height and cushioning for my neck and ears are important.

Before Disneyland, I had to put up with neck pain and sore ears due to pillows that were too firm so they at least gave my neck some support. Too soft and my head sinks down into the mattress and my neck isn’t aligned correctly.

This pillow – after a few days to a week of breaking in – is perfect for side sleepers! Soft enough that my ear isn’t mashed to my head (painful) and firm enough to support the neck. The cluster puffs fill the gap of my neck to support it.

Best part of this pillow is how it can be fluffed up to almost a downy consistency; the cluster puffs can be manipulated to create wells for ears. No other pillow has done this. as long as downlite makes this pillow, they have a lifetime buyer.

I originally bought the Therapedic latex pillow on the same day that my boyfriend bought this pillow. the Therapedic contoured memory foam pillow. I tried to sleep on the latex pillow for a full week, and wanted so much to love it! It slept cool, and was uniquely supportive in that it rises up to meet the curves of the body, but I just could not get accustomed to the springy/bouncy feeling of it.

I tried his pillow during that timeframe and thought it felt much more comfortable, so I ended up returning the latex pillow for the contoured memory foam pillow. Once I got the memory foam pillow home, we both agreed that my pillow felt much softer and less supportive than his pillow.

I wasn’t prepared for there to be such variation in the same pillow, and although it was comfortable and didn’t sleep hot (but wasn’t as cool as the latex, in my opinion), I just didn’t love sleeping on it.

This may seem like a small detail to some, but I just couldn’t get used to the feeling of the upper curve of the pillow touching the crown of my head while I was sleeping on it. Thank goodness for Bed Bath & Beyond’s great return policy, because I ended up returning this pillow for the Ugg Sherpa pillow.

I actually missed being able to squish my pillow into just the right shape! I hoped this would be the end of my Goldilocks tale of searching for the perfect pillow, and it may be. for now. I do still have the Ugg pillow, and it is really soft yet supportive and very squishable.

I put my pillowcase over the sherpa for the trial period. even though it’s currently winter, I can’t imagine not getting too hot with my face in the snuggly sherpa. The sherpa cover is removable, so now that I’ve decided to keep this pillow I’ll probably remove it altogether and see if that feels better.

During the past 30+ years I have used a contour pillow. No matter how good a pillow may be, it eventually wears out. When my current pillow wore out I purchased a Therapedic Classic Contour Memory Foam Side/Back Sleeper Bed Pillow.

I tend to start out on my back then turn over to a side when sleeping. My new pillow fits me perfectly; lower side when on my back, then change to the higher side when I turn over. It stays cool throughout the night, and when I awaken and make my bed the memory foam springs back to the original position.

I chose the medium and am thinking of getting another one soon.
