20 Best Picture Mode For Samsung Tv (2023 Updated)

I’ve owned the 65″ 2022 for a month and a half. Here are my take aways as a photographer with a particular eye for image quality. – Beautiful 4k image with vibrant colours and brightness. Excels in this regard, and short of up close viewing is convincing as an artwork at a technical level.

Read on however. – Matte finish is exceptional and makes the tv usable day and night in our lounge room. This feature alone is the most compelling thing about the frame over other qleds. – The viewing angle is utterly atrocious.

Blacks turn to near purple at 30-40 degrees off centre, and saturation drops considerably, both vertically and horizontally. This means mounting it at eye level as an artwork degrades blacks and colour for seated tv viewing, and the inverse is true if mounted low for improved quality for seated tv viewing.

It’s very, very far from believable as an artwork. This is so bad in fact that even when viewing an image dead on in the middle the colours and contrast are dropping away in the corners. Don’t even get me started on how bad it is when approaching from the side.

I think if the tv were in a spot in the room where you didn’t have to walk past it, and if it was only used for artwork or tv alone the deficiencies could be worked around. – The grey and black uniformity when watching movies is worse than the 10 year old LCD TV it replaced.

There are massive light splotches in the middle, sides and two corners, so much so that details in dimly lit scenes are darker than the splotches. If the camera pans at its like someone smeared @#*& all over the screen.

The same is true of grey images, just with a different pattern. Then there are the super bright / discoloured vertical areas on the far left and right of the screen when viewing light grey images, i.

e as a computer monitor. The only remedy for the poor uniformity is to turn the brightness down to around 20 (40%). It makes the defects less obvious but it’s a very dim image then. – The ambient light sensor is insufficient at picking up subtle light changes in dim lighting, meaning the tv is always way too bright.

The issue here is actually that in my lounge room the tv itself casts a shadow on the sensor and therefore is ineffective. Unfortunately the sensor is tucked away under the frame and can’t be moved. This also breaks the believability of the screen as an artwork as it’s just glaring all the time.

Samsung don’t allow you to control the brightness of the screen via IP either so I can’t even build home automations to manage this externally. All in all, if you use it to display artwork in the background it’s ok.

If you use it for the kids to watch tv it’s ok. If you’re a photographer or an artist who has an eye for quality, stay very, very far away. It’s just not there yet for artworks if you’re serious. As a tv however if they actually release a version with local dimming like they falsely advertise this as having (they lie and say it has ‘Supreme UHD dimming’ which is just a marketing ploy) then it would at least help with their poor image uniformity issues and get it close to being a respectable tv.

Needless to say I will be returning this tv and opting for an oled or qled with local dimming and foregoing the dedicated art mode. As it is it’s a Jack of all trades and master of none, and you pay a premium for it.

I wish I had actually looked at this in a store and not bought into the marketing hype. I should have known better.

This summer I got Samsung’s The Frame TV based solely because I did not want the living room wall dominated by a huge black rectangle when I wasn’t using the TV. Unfortunately, I’ve been sorely disappointed by the TV.

The art mode only works so-so because it is not good at turning itself on when someone comes into the room. By far the worst aspect of the TV is its operating system. Recently, while playing Spiderman: Miles Morales on my Playstation 5 the HDMI connection frequently cuts out.

In this video you can see that happen at 13 seconds in. At that point I have been playing for about 20 minutes and it had already happened about 4 times. To make matters worse, sometimes the connection never comes back and I have to unplug & replug the HDMI connection in order to continue playing.

Sometimes what I plug it back in then the TV does not recognize what type if device it is. This issue is unpredictable but it does seem to happen more in during fast action with lots of effects on screen.

Before getting The Frame, I used the PS5 quite a bit with my previous 2014 TBV and never had issues like this. The OS is truly disappointing, especially considering how expensive The Frame is. Some other observations on it: — I have a Samsung soundbar connected to the TV.

I estimate tha more than 50% of the time that I turn the TV on it is using the TV speakers and I have to go back into the setting to switch the audio to the soundbar. The Soundbar is connected to the eARC HDMI port so even if it were turned off the TV can turn it back on.

— This TV’s multiview is really annoying. Anytime I cast something from a phone it goes into multiview unless if the TV was already in the same app. Turning off multview then takes 2 or 3 clicks. I’d like to be able to completely disable multiview but there is no option to do so.

— Its not uncommon that there is significant lag remote between button presses on the remote and when the TV registers the action. on one occasion it seemed like none of the button presses were registering so I pressed the button multiple times and then all the button presses happened all together.

On another occasion the remote was not working at all. I have to use the phone app to control the TV until I did a complete shutdown of the TV. — The home screen for the TS has ads for moves and shows that I’ve never expressed interest in and that I cannot remove.

I already bought this very expensive TV and I’m still being served ads. 00:13 HDMI connection from PS5 cuts out.

I purchased this television in mid-June from the Samsung website, and it was delivered in good time in early July. I have been using this television for approximately a week and a half as of the time of this review.

I find the television in general to be very good quality with good features for optimising its use for playing video games (the primary purpose I intend to use the television for), and I also appreciate the realistic simulation of a physical framed painting/photograph when in Art Mode.

My one major complaint, though, is the Tizen operating system that the television uses. It has very limited applications available to it, and does not allow me to download any video calling applications other than Google Duo, which I use infrequently.

As far as I am aware of, Tizen does not natively allow the installation of APK files for third-party applications not available on the Tizen App Store, and while I am attempting to find a workaround for this at the time of writing this review, it is highly disappointing that the ability to natively download third-party applications is so highly restricted.

I would recommend at least that many, many more non-streaming applications should be added to the Tizen App Store, as while there are plenty of streaming applications available, there are virtually no other types of applications, such as productivity (e-mail viewers, word processors, etc.

) or social (video calling, Text Chat, etc. ) applications available for Tizen. Aside from this, I am generally happy with the quality of the television, though I would have much preferred it if all the advanced features (such as FreeSync and 200 Hz refresh rate) were also available on the smaller models of this television, as I purchased a screen size slightly larger than I would have otherwise preferred due to the fact that any television screen size smaller than 55 inches did not include these features.

Lovely however lacks consistant clear picture. Sometimes has sporadic blured view. Otherwise good picture. In time I’m interested in seeing if the processor and picture will improve becoming clearer and maintaining a constant view.

I also look forward to continued Samsung support and more warranty information available on the TV itself as apposed to having to go to an email or. y desktop to upload or download updates. It can be time consuming, complex or obscure as I am not very technological inclined.

The Samsung product itself should be able to do an occasional self assessment and deliver to me onscreen the necessary or required update or download options. These options should be clear specific and come with simplistic step by step instructions on how to successfully complete required operations to achieve the ultimate viewing experience.

Once Samsung has added this clearer self accessible options on updates and insight to effectively access any and all options to improve my viewing pleasure I’m sure the entire updating/upgrading or downloading process will be a simple clear sweatless and stress free process.

I do enjoy the view and the size so far however I’m just looking forward to more insight into how to operate it improving it all the more.

I love how thin and sleek the TV looks. The picture is really good. Everything is so clear. The Sound is also fantastic. I have owned so many TVs that have okay quality but the sound on the Samsung Crystal TV tops all of the TVs I have ever owned.

This size of the TV is perfect for me. I have very serious vision loss and looking at the TV and reading subtitles is so clear and so less straining. I have owned other Ssunf TVs and they are really good quality and last a long time and I am thinking this TV will too.

The TV came delivered In a very protected box and had a the thickest layer of foam. I was also very surprised how fast the television came in. I ordered it and then a couple hours later I got an email saying it shipped already and came in a few days later.

I was expecting it to take approximately one week and five days. Not really sure why? But I really recommend this TV it is worth every penny!.

We have this TV in a small theatre room which can get very dark. Overall, no complaints given the general price point when it was on sale. If you have background lights in a dark room, the screen does reflect the lights a fair amount (not sure if all TVs do that).

One other issue is that it seems to have an issue connected to the 5G internet (so it connects on the 2. 4). In hindsight, i probably should have purchased a short throw laser projector for a few dollars more.

But generally no complaints and the sound is actually not that bad.

so disappointed with this tv. i was actually happy with it until suddenly a power cycling issue began. it now continuously turns itself on and off every 3 seconds. i have only had the product for 17 months.

after reading the community threads, it seems that this is a known issue with samsung tv’s which they refuse to correct. and because i didn’t buy an extended warranty, i now have a useless electronic brick hanging on the wall that will cost a few hundred dollars to fix.

almost every electronic device i own is from samsung including several phones, tablets, tv’s, buds, and watches. sadly, after this experience, i will probably never buy another samsung product. i thought i was buying quality but i was seriously mistaken.

I absolutely loved my TV. while it worked I would have given a 5 star rating. well it never really stopped working fully but there was no “being ok” with what it was doing. Hoping it was just a bad panel but nonetheless super bummed I had to return it.

Early March it developed a dark horizontal line about 2 inches from the top and everything below that you could see horizontal lines. While the picture looked ok, it was those straight edges and lettering that REALLY showed you that there was something wrong.

Unfortunately the troubleshooting and resets didn’t work. Mind you Samsung Pro was really great! Since TV was still under it’s first year, they set me up with a local repair shop. The gentleman advised my panel would need to be replaced but the part was in back order.

After a week it turned out that they would not be able to get the part after all so Samsung would be replacing my entire unit with a new one. After two weeks, it turned out that “they did not have the inventory for it therefore would have to refund me for it.

They had to ship me a box to put it in which took 3 more weeks to get and finally got picked up a few days after. Totally not upset over the time since i was still able to use the TV but the lines did get worse and worse.

Giving it 4 stars only because of the defective panel, otherwise the TV was great while it was working fully, the Samsung personnel was really great and professional and helpful. While the process did take long, we are in a pandemic so I can’t really be a stickler.

I have a smaller older Samsung TV that refuses to die, washer and dryer that work harder no matter how much we load them.

Using Personal artwork requires using a USB to upload pictures to the TV or uploading to your Samsung account and logging into the account on the TV. Using a USB, all of the photos that I tried to upload were larger than 4k and the TV could not resize the images and use them.

That is a suprise as other TVs I have used have not had a problem resizing photos. One thing that seems to be missing is the capability to schedule artwork. For example if you want nature photos between 6am and 9am, and family photos between 9am and 3pm, and sunset photos between 3pm and 9pm, and Web Space Telescope pictures between 9pm and 6am, then you will not find that feature on this device.

That is why the 3 star review; the Frame is just a regular digital photo device with the most basic of shuffling and scheduling features. These to lack of features are the reason for the review title “Dumb Digital Photo Frame”.

The flush wall mount is not really flush like shown in the marketing pictures. The 43″ has a much better wall mount, and is nearly flush. The 55″ does have a gap and it is about the same space a painting or flat back picture would be.

My sits about 1/2″ away from the wall at the top and is nearly flush at the bottom. I did not use the included foam spacers on the bottom of the TV, otherwise it would have the 1/2″ space at the bottom also.

The frame around the edge of the TV is about 3/16″ further away from the wall than the actual back of the TV, so the edge of the units (both 43″ and 55″) can never really be flush with the wall, as you would expect with a metal frame picture with a hallow back.

Adding the Samsung custom frame pieces do not close this gap. The cable is poorly sized at only 5M long (<16'). It should either be 1. 5M or 15M long. The 5M length make a mess of wires if the control box is below the TV, and the 5M length is not long enough to make it up the wall to the attic and back down to an adjacent room to put the control box out of sight.

The control box has the USB connection, so don’t plan on putting that in the attic, however using a USB extension cable I did not try. The 15M cable is available from Samsung and is another $300. The “invisible” cables are not compatible between all Samsung TVs.

It would have been preferred if the TVs were $100 less and you had to buy a separate cable for $100, that way you could get the cable you required. We also have the 43″ 2022 model hung in portrait mode; when in portrait mode Amazon Prime does not work, nor do any of the other apps that do not allow for resizing of the display.

That was a suprise.

I returned it to be honest. I didn’t know there was a difference between BESPOKE vs. non-BESPOKE products by Samsung and Bezel meant for TV’s until after I purchased this item. Basically, my friend and I saw The Frame and even on display at Best Buy it was absolutely gorgeous.

After running to 3 different Best Buys, we , it was obvious based upon on conversation amongst each other in front of the sales guy we wanted The Frame for the flush feature and painting-like display.

When we both got home, after a 2 days, we were so disappointed it wasn’t the item we actually wanted or saw on display. There is a difference between The Frame with or without Bezel feature and I recommend verifying any product by Samsung prior to purchase.

There is a significant difference aesthetically and financially. My friend ended up keeping his but I had to return mine b/c I noticed the colors weren’t consistent across the display panel. There was a section of the TV in which the colors displayed were different than the rest of the image.

It is really hard to see but I can pick up on visual hues every well. Also, the black points were well achieved but in contrast, the brighter colors seemed more off and the balance between dark and light was not visually pleasing.

In fact, my brother had the same problem with a different Samsung TV model. These Samsung TV’s, however, were manufactured in 2021. Apparently, there is a significant improvement in the 2022 models and beyond b/c many had this inconsistency.

A huge deal breaker for me was the speaker sound. Recently, Sony Bravia changed up their technology and the speakers on the TV are insane b/c it comes from every point behind the TV display vs Samsung which in the speakers are set on the bottom in one location.

The sound level of a Sony Bravia at say 30 is the equivalent to a Samsung TV at 80. And it’s very annoying considering its rigid emitting sound from one focal point and the sound quality isn’t as rich as Sony Bravia.

My friend, however, he is okay with it and kept his TV. He was disappointed but he got over it. The price he purchased his for was a great deal for the size. He is a very picky person yet he kept it out of inconvenience to deal with the return process I guess and he had already mounted it on his wall.

It just depends. I do highly highly recommend making sure the TV is 2022+. It seems as though there is not much of a price difference yet significant difference in quality and change in technology. Hope this helps!.

Use case: this TV is going into a multi-purpose bedroom that is also an exercise room. This tv will only be used to display art content and look like a picture frame for most of the time. However, this will also be used to display workouts on an Apple TV via Fitness+.

I do not have much opinion on the built in apps and other Samsung software offerings because I disagree with their ad targeting, data collection and reselling practices. However, the cost of the tv is only as low as it is because of those data collection and brokering practices.

Would I opt out of most data collection practices if that could be easily done while not suffering a lesser software experience for my tv purchase. ? Yes, yes I would. Is that currently possible? No, no it is not.

The Pros: Good picture quality for the particular screen tech The complimentary digital art is attractive The one connect system is attractive in theory The Cons: The one connect connector cable is too dainty and not UL rated for hiding behind walls.

A UL rated option is available for an extra 300. 00 which is rather ridiculous considering that the VC point of This product is to not look like a tv. The included wall mounting solution is rather finicky and not at all particularly easy to level and mount (they’ve given the bare minimum effort in the wall mounting solution for the 43 inch model).

Beautiful TV that blends as artwork above our fireplace. The brightness and warmth can be adjusted so that it blends with the lighting and doesn’t look like a TV at first. The colors of the TV is more brilliant than other TVs that I’ve owned.

It comes with a mount that has the TV sit flush against the wall to create the illusion of artwork. It also has changeable frames to match with the decor and you can easily buy custom ones online. It has the ability to go to sleep mode and immediately turns the art back on when motion is detected if you’re worried about power consumption.

It’s a little pricey but it’s worth having it if you don’t just want a blank black screen in a certain area. I gave it five stars because I LOVE it but the remote function for numbers do not work for some reason (and has happened to others when searched online).

I worked around this using their remote app that you also need to upload custom photos to the TV, so not an overall dealbreaker.

Fell in love with this TV within 24 hours. I’m not a TV-watcher, but I love film. I don’t like TV’s dominating a room, and for a long time there seemed no way of NOT having a blank black screen on the wall, which put me off upgrading from our old TV.

The Frame, however, is a smart TV in a lot of ways – and like most genuinely well designed things, is easy to work. Having a choice of art work, put on a loop and which turns on-off with a motion sensor, is perfect.

We can choose art we like, change it frequently, and have it match our decor. The frame feature is perfect, the colour is perfect. not hyper-bright and gaudy. It’s a great piece of technology. Absolutely would recomnmend.

We looked for a TV that we could put above our fireplace in our new custom built home. The Samsung “Frame” TV we thought fit the bill perfectly. It had all the features and looked great while off, but beware of the achilles heal within this TV.

It is the Fiber Optic cable that connects the Screen to the “One Connect Box”. While in theory and advertising it sounds like a great idea, it does not work well above a stone fireplace with the A/V room a good 40 feet from the fireplace.

Even if installed by professionals the cable seems to have a less then stellar reputation. Don’t get me wrong, if installed in a very safe place where the cable will never be moved or nicked by a guest chair or child playing with a paper airplane, this is a great looking TV and performs well.

But if you are the average Joe, with the average installation and place for your TV, you are likely to have problems with your cable integrity. Samsung does sell a wall rated 49 foot fiber optic cable accessory that is supposed to allow this type of installation, but after reading the ratings and comments we were afraid of that route (it is a $299 cable and 27 out of 27 rated the fiber optic cable poor).

Additionally there was not one successful example of pulling the fiber optic cable through junction boxes and wiring conduit within the wall. After buying the TV and beginning to look at the installation details and comments on line we could not come up with an acceptable (risk adverse) method of locating the “one connect box” 40 feet from the TV.

The store technician was very understandable of our problem and agreed that this was not the application for this TV. Very sad because now we have an oil painting where the TV was supposed to go and no hopes of hanging an ugly TV there to mess up the decor! Do your homework and if you don’t mind locating the “one connect” box on your fireplace mantel or running a very delicate cable 15 feet down and across your fireplace to an A/V bookcase or table next to the fireplace than this TV is for you!.

I love my new 55″ Samsung 4K UHD The Frame Smart TV. Right out of the box, I was surprised to see how thin it is. It comes with a no gap mount kit to hang the tv on the wall without adding any extra bulk.

It comes with an One Connect box that connects to the tv by a thin “invisible” wire, so it’s barely noticeable. All other devices (dvd player, cable box & gaming system) are connected to the One Connect box as well.

No more unsightly tangle of wires hanging from the tv and the One Connect box can be tucked out of the way. The whole look is much cleaner. Setting up all the features on the tv was quick and easy using the sleekly designed Smart Remote.

The picture quality on this tv is amazing. It’s so sharp and crystal clear. My favorite feature on this tv is the Art Mode. I love that this tv serves two purposes, as a source of entertainment and as an artwork.

The artwork selection that came with the tv are all beautiful. I ended up picking a landscape one that went with my décor. I enjoy looking at it whenever the tv is off. It really does look like a framed work of art.

The only negative is the cost of the customizable frames. The frame of the tv comes in a basic black color. You can change the color of the frame with customized magnetic bezels that snaps on over the original frame.

There are 3 color options offered: white, beige, and a walnut finish. The walnut finish would look great in our home, but it’s a bit pricey for what it is. All in all, The Frame TV is a great tv for all that it offers in terms of features and in looks.

I bought this TV and mounted it above a fireplace. The picture and quality are phenomenal. We recently had friends over and they were debating whether it was a back-lit piece of art or a TV. I loved this because we wanted to have a TV that did not look like a TV.

We mounted the power into the wall so that the TV could lay flat and chose a dark walnut that matched our floors. The options on art and matte is really great allowing us to change moods with the seasons.

The one design feature that i wish they could incorporate into the TV though is the WiFi receiver for internet and digital media. I like the thin single cord to the One Connect Box, but I do not connect anything to it.

I only need it because it houses and controls the wireless internet connections for the TV. We run Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video, etc. over WiFi with all of our digital content stored in the cloud. If Samsung moved the WiFi receiver to the TV then people that were fully wireless and digital would only need a power connection for the TV.

This is easily hid behind the TV in the wall. IMO, having this Black Box that has another power cord running to it in addition to the thin cord to the TV really detracts from the beauty of the TV. Move the WiFi to the TV itself and keep the One Connect Box as an accessory for people that still need wired connections for BlueRay, DVD, Cable Fiber, etc.

Samsung help me cut the cords!.

I really love how this TV blends in with the great room to my house. It matches seamlessly with the other pictures and artwork in the room. TV picture quality is more than acceptable, but definitely not the best I’ve seen especially for the price.

You can get a better TV for cheaper, but it will be a giant black rectangle while off. If you do not mind that then I would get a different TV. The form factor of this TV is excellent. Very thin and mounts flush to the wall just like a piece of art.

It will not fool anyone as art since the light coming from the screen is obvious especially in low light, but it is a very good looking TV and everyone that sees it loves it. I recommend running the one connect wire through conduit behind the wall.

That means you’ll have to cut your wall and do minor dry wall work or hire someone to, but it’s worth the effort. Having a visible wire coming out of this would ruin the effect and you might as well go for a cheaper panel at that point.

I highly recommend this panel if you want a TV that still looks good while off. I personally love it, but the price is high. It does costs less than my artwork and greatly improves the look of the room so it might be worth it depending on what you’re going for.

If you don’t care about any of that and just want a very nice display then get a different model coz this is first and foremost a fake out art piece and a good, but not excellent TV.

This is an overall positive review of the 2020 Frame TV, but it should be said up-front that you should buy through a retailer with a good return policy in case you get a problematic unit. You should also be prepared to figure out any issues on your own and be comfortable determining what is a manufacturing defect, what is a software bug (that may be fixed in an upcoming firmware update), what is a limitation of the product, and what is non-intuitive design.

I have found the support team to be inaccurate and/or unhelpful through multiple encounters over my first month with The Frame. Also, beware of the claims/offerings on this Samsung product page as it appears that some items may only be available if you purchase directly from Samsung (even though they are not marked as such).

For example, the free 3-month subscription to the Art Store that is offered on this page. I only received a 1-month subscription during sign-up, and after contacting both Support and Promotions, I was first told that the 3-month subscription did not apply to my model number (although the offer is clearly noted on the product page for my specific model, which I pointed out to the service rep), then I was told that it only applied to units purchased directly from Samsung.

OK, with that out of the way, on to the review: Phenomenal form factor and included equipment. Yes, it’s a premium price above other TVs with similar picture quality, but the picture frame housing, No-gap wall mount, OneConnect Box and Art Mode make it more than worth it.

I was able to get a 65″ screen to blend into the great room without making it look like a sports bar or a home theater. Art Mode is a game-changer and transforms a black hole on the wall into a decorative focal point.

Seems to work best in daytime or a well-lighted room with bolder/darker colored images. Doesn’t work well in a dimmer room. Hoping that a firmware update provides additional granularity in brightness settings and that the light sensor automatic adjustment improves.

Until then, I’ve been using the SmartThings App to manually adjust. At the right setting, it really looks like a picture on the wall. Easy to install and level with the included No-Gap wall mount. The included wall anchors are not good and don’t hold.

They are different from some of the installation videos I’ve seen. Get toggle bolts from your hardware store for the screws that go into the drywall instead of a stud. Love the OneConnect Box and only having to run one thin cable to the TV for power and all connections.

Setup and configuration were relatively easy although the SmartThings app froze in the middle and I had to complete setup with the remote. Settings out-of-the-box were surprisingly good. Turned off all the “Intelligent” options.

Using the Movie setting and Warm 2 color options for all inputs. I have the Eco light sensor on and set Minimum Brightness to 15 for TV viewing, but turn it off for HDR Blu-ray and Streaming. You can save different settings for each input, which is nice.

Very good picture. Narrow optimal viewing angle, but still enjoyable for the entire room. Does a very good job upscaling HDTV from the cable box, especially after turning image-smoothing on and bumping the color from the default of 25 to 35.

4K movies (streaming and via 4K Blu-ray) have a significant wow-factor. Even with some software annoyances from buying a just-released TV (hoping they soon get fixed via firmware updates), I can’t imagine replacing it with a different model.

No regrets so far.

this is a great tv & adds a very nice touch to the decor of a room with the ‘art’ that is displayed when off. you really don’t notice it as a television. that is the good. the bad is that these frame tv’s have a very bad history of breaking.

the screen part on the wall goes bad on these units within 1-3 years. mine did it at the 24th month of service with light use. speculation that there are heat issues with them that causes this. an easy way to confirm this is to go out to ebay and search for “samsung oneconnect box” and look at all the boxes with no screen that are for sale.

many of them are brand new b/c only the screen needed replacement. buyer beware.

The TV was bought last year, so this review is coming after approximately a year of use, give or take a month or so. The video quality of the screen appears to be very good, although occasionally it can be a little bit on the dark side.

It is currently in use with a 4K Fire Stick, an ageing Blu-Ray player that still miraculously works after almost ten years in use, and a Nintendo Switch. The real issue with this TV is the audio, and I’ve seen several other people online agree with this assessment.

On our previous Samsung TV, we had multiple adjustment options in the settings that made it easy to get balanced volume and fine-tune things to your preferences. These mainly included things like Clear Voice or similar, and Night Mode (which was an ear-saver for me, as I am very sensitive to volume changes).

This TV has NONE of these. On all three preset options, dialogue can be inaudible to almost completely silent, while special effects are blasted out so loudly that it’s almost impossible to watch any film/movie or TV show without clutching the remote and hovering over the volume button the whole time.

We have tried adjusting the equaliser settings over and over in different combinations, using Amplify, Auto Volume, Standard, Adaptive, and we have come to the conclusion that it is virtually impossible to get dialogue to be audible without everything else being far too loud.

We are in the process of buying a non-Samsung soundbar or set of speakers because we no longer trust Samsung to give us effective control over our audio experience. I did contact Samsung about this, and they were unable to be of any assistance.

They simply asked me to try all of the things that I had already tried already. If they would like to release firmware to add these features to the TV, I would be happy to receive them, but for now, I cannot recommend this TV to anyone who wants a good audio experience out of the box without already owning their own set of speakers.

For those who demand their TV fit their home décor and not their home décor fit their TV, the Frame is the perfect solution. From an aesthetic perspective, the Samsung Frame TV is one of the best. I have been extremely impressed with the quality of artwork the Samsung tv displays when in “art mode.

” It is relaxing and intriguing (depending on the piece of artwork) when walking by and seeing it on my tv. The selections of art work is impressive if you opt for the subscription service, but it’s nice that Samsung included some free art and the ability to add your own pictures.

Installation: The included slim mount is nice for the most part. Unfortunately, it comes it 2 pieces which led to me being able to only use 1 wood stud in my wall, but using anchor screws solved my problem.

Once the TV is hanging on the wall, you can easily adjust it to level it out. I would recommend watching some online videos if you are not familiar with mounting TVs on walls. The included One Connect Box is awesome, it allows you to just run a single wire in your wall instead of numerous cables like Power, HDMI, optical, ethernet, etc.

In addition, it’s easy to add, remove, or change any connection since the box is separated. Usability: The Frame uses a custom interface similar to Google TV in layout, with content taking center stage over just Smart APPs, which I really enjoy.

It does take some time to figure out all the bells and whistles and where everything is located. The interface is fast, responsive, and it just works well. I was able to set up Google Assistant and SmartThings without issue.

One thing I really like is the remote control, which I don’t think gets enough attention or praise. I was able to control all my entertainment devices, built in speaker system that runs throughout our home, subwoofers our PRIME Fire Stick, and newest gaming systems ie PS5 (mostly that just are an accessory lol).

It has a built-in solar panel which is able to charge the remote, no more having to re-charge my AA batteries. Picture Performance: Before comparing any TV, you should first update the Picture Mode to “Movie” on this TV, as it gives it the most accurate colors.

The Frame with its Quantum Dot, 4K, HDR10+ panel makes a really good picture, colors are vibrant and accurate, the blacks are good (but not OLED black), and I didn’t notice anything that looked bad or out of place like motion blur or dark spots.

The one thing I did notice, was that the screen reflected light very well, which is a bad thing. If you have a lot of natural light, this may be an issue with Art mode, during TV watching I forgot about the reflection.

It’s very nice they included a Game mode with support for AMD FreeSync eARC over HDMI which allows you to get the latest Atmos enabled sound. Mirroring your mobile device is easy. I chose the Frame for one reason – it was the only model I could find that could be mounted flat on a wall. It does that and I would give 5 stars for the picture and sound quality, but there is a list of other issues to do with installation and use that let it down.

1. The One Connect mini is a 20cm x 10cm box that basically just acts as a power supply, The only two ports that might have been useful (ethernet and aerial) were removed from the mini version and none of the other ports (usb, hdmi, optic) are relevant if all you want is a basic 32 inch TV in the kitchen.

2. The TV has WiFi but no ethernet port. This caused me major problems as it cannot cope with weak WiFi in out kitchen, despite the fact that other devices in the same room arefine with it and my iPad managed a 100mb download speed.

Added to that, if there is any sort of interruption in WiFi the TV and/or apps such as iPlayer hang up and need to be exited and restarted. In the end I had to buy a (second) access point and mount it in the room over the kitchen to get it working properly.

More expense, more ethernet wiring and socket for the access point. It would have been so much simpler and more reliable to run an ethernet cable through the wall into the TV. 3. The wire from the Connect One mini is terminated in 3cm wide connectors and I believe is mains voltage.

Routing it to the TV and keeping it hidden and electrically safe is therefore a major challenge. It would have been easier to route a mains cable in conduit; it would have been easier and a lot safer if the cable was low voltage and instead of the Connect One mini they just gave you a power supply like that for a phone or tablet.

4. The aerial cable has to somehow get to the TV, also hidden if you want to do the job properly. I drilled a 10mm hole through to the outside wall but I’m not sure many others would choose this option.

The existing aerial socket was next to where I sited the One Connect mini so it would have been perfect to plug in there if only Samsung had not decided to remove the port. 5. The mounts for the TV leave it about 3.

5mm away from the wall (unlike the more sophisticated mounting system on the larger Frames). To get round this you have to chisel them into the wall, which again many would not do. 6. Although advertised as taking the separately purchased frames in various colours, you can’t actually buy them in the UK.

You can’t even buy them from the US and have them shipped over. So basically you just have a plain black plasic bezel like any other TV. 7. Art mode. There is no motion detect to put the TV into power save mode when no one is around.

It consumes 28 W normally and still consumes 28 W when in art more. This means that you tend to just turn it off and forget the whole art mode gimmick when you have finished watching. 8. The switch on / off / art mode seems quite inconsistent and buggy.

Sometimes when you switch on the screen stays dark and you need to press home to get a picture. Other times it issues random error messages about trying to connect to something, which go away before you can read them.

Short press on the red power button puts it in art mode, long press turns it off. Well, most of the time anyway. It needs a “disable art mode” setting for users like me that just wanted a 32 inch telly on the wall.

9. Art mode is really there to sell you a subscription to buy art from Samsung. I’m never going to do this for a small telly in the kitchen. I did however manage to persuade it to load up a slide show of my own photos using the Smart Things app.

This app is buggy, unreliable and pretty hard to use, but if you’ve got an hour or so to waste and like challenges go for it. 10. A word on the display itself. The colour depth and clarity is actually very good – every bit as good as the 65 inch QLED in our living room.

But why only standard HD not UHD? The difference is noticeable in small text which appears a bit blocky on apps such as Amazon Prime although I don’t think it makes any difference on video. 11. The TV is about 25mm deep and sits flat on the wall.

While this is quite slender compared to other TVs it is not really pushing the boundaries when you consider that modern laptops, tablets etc. are much thinner. What I really wanted was a device the thickness of my iPad but 32 inches across! Summary – nice idea but the concept has not been carried through.

Features that worked well for the larger screen sizes have been removed and what you have left does not make a lot of sense. Maybe it would be easier to install in a US house with hollow walls for all the wiring.

I was not pleased with this TV, primarily due to the software/operating platform. My kids’ top used app right now is HBO Max and this app would not run properly on this TV’s software. Other apps worked okay but there was still lagging and delays with overall performance.

Likewise with the remote, the TV was slow to pick up the signal when pressing buttons from the remote control. I would push a button and nothing would happen so then I would push it again, and the TV would execute the command twice which was pretty annoying (e.

g. , press the arrow right button to go to a specific app, nothing would happen so press the arrow right button again, and it would move two apps over). The other complaint I have is with the phone app that Samsung insists you must download.

I was inundated with a ton of ads to purchase upgrades and additional services and never could quite get the actual app to work properly. Many of the features in settings were unavailable to me and I never figured out why.

For example, when Best Buy came to pick up the TV (I returned it for reasons stated above), I realized I neglected to log out of all of my apps. I tried to quickly do a factory reset of the TV, and the option was unavailable to me.

There were a couple other instances where Samsung directed me to certain features and options in settings to fix XYZ issue that were also unavailable to me (can’t remember off the top of my head what they were).

I have wall mount hardware that was used for my prior TV that included universal screws to attach the mounting brackets. The instruction manual specified a certain size screw, but the specified screw was too short to attach to the brackets.

I ended up using a screw that was a couple mm longer and it worked out quite well. I read many of the one star and negative reviews on this TV and noticed how Samsung frequently came back with the fact that this is a budget version TV and not intended to be at the level of quality of their more expensive models.

Fine, but sell a TV that has software that works properly. I replaced this one with a different brand and did further research on the operating platforms. I was not impressed with this software (Tizen) and will be sure to steer away from all TVs or products using this platform in the future.

Ordered 75 inch Samsung smart tizen led on 12th July. was delivered on 20th July, as scheduled (awesome, 5* rating). Points I noticed: 1. The TV was kept upside down in the transportation vehicle when they got it out.

It’s transporter responsibility to keep it Right side up (0*). 2. The movers got it inside home in correct side up. Opened infront of me. Took pictures. Took signatures (5 to 6 signatures and I don’t know where I signed.

I was not given time to read. Not right standards. 0*). 3. Bestbuy should ensure that they allow time to plug the TV and check the screen. Majority of sophisticated TV’s have damaged screens as I read from various review channels.

If they wud have waited 3 minutes, it could have saved time because the Screen has internal bloating (refer pictures). Now I have to wait for them to allot time and pick it back again (waste of time).

0*. 4. In a proper boxed condition, if the screen has lines, then either the packaging was not proper which led to the screen getting damaged while transporting or the TV was faulty from beginning, which is Quality Check responsibility.

Who’s responsible here, Bestbuy or Samsung? 0* 5. I have to wait another 10+ days to get another set and don’t know if that is excellent or again faulty (it’s a nightmare to think). 0* 6. Storage: it’s a 75″ TV with extra spacing for box.

As unpacking was done by movers, i wasnt sure how to pack it back. Anyhow, gogle helped. Now, I have to store it until next piece arrives. Had to make large vacant space to store. Loss of space. 0*. Samsung and Bestbuy, they both need to upgrade their standards if they offer transportation.

I don’t know whose fault was this, but as a customer, I lost my TIME (time is precious for me), storage space and no TV unless the next piece arrives. it was an anniversary gift to my Spouse and now it’s in VAIN.

My surprise to my Spouse, gave me a surprise thru bestbuy/Samsung. But I still trust the Samsung brand as I have been using it from decades. considering human errors I am giving this one more chance to keep the trust on Bestbuy and Samsung.

I was extremely impressed with the picture and features on this TV, so much so, that I purchased a second unit for my Garage. Very sharp and high resolution with great color rendition. Very intuitive navigation software is easy to use and packed with great features.

The initial setup routine prompts guide you through the startup-configuration process seamlesy. The setup took less than 10 minutes and automatically downloaded and installed the available firmware updates.

I use both of these TV/Monitors with multiple inputs: Digital Antenna (Local TV Channels); HDMI – Blu Ray Input; Ethernet Internet (Hardwired) Streaming; HDMI-PC Input; USB – External Hard Drive Access and even Wi-Fi – for Streaming from my Smartphone – all function flawlessly.

The exceptional Input Reception Sensitivity for the integral Digital TV Tuner allows me to receive Air Channels which my older TV would not display due to low threshold signal strength. The free Samsung Digital TV Channels offer very good program content and is an added Plus.

This TV affords a lot of “Bang” for your “Buck” and outperforms many higher-priced TV’s and is a cut above many Competitors’ models based on my research. One thing that I wish Samsung would offer is a provision for storing an electronic copy of the comprehensive version of the User Guide directly on the TV proper (I use the USB-Connected External Hard Drive to view my downloaded copy of the User Guide for ready-reference).

GET ONE OF THESE TV’s!.

I have owned a few other “smart” TVs prior to this one, and I would consider those to be “dumb” TVs! The clarity and picture on this TV is amazing. Whether you are watching cable, streaming, or even using connected devices, this has been the best experience I have had by far.

I do lots of streaming, such as Youtube, Prime, and Netflix, and have had the greatest experience with them all. I also stay on the internet constantly, and being able to do this from my television is unlike anything I have tried.

There’s nothing like being able to see the content you watch and do on a big screen like this. Using the browser on the TV became more favorable than using my computer or even my phone. I also love how if you don’t have a sound system, you can use a Bluetooth connected speaker, and the sound is amazing (and wireless!) I also love the fact you can upload your pictures and video gallery, and feel like you are watching home movies on a what feels like a theater, all from videos and pictures taken on a smartphone.

Having a Samsung smartphone makes the experience so lovely, because everything connects seamlessly, as well as giving you TV and phone extra features when using them together. Not that I would think there would be any issues with any other smartphone being connected, it is just awesome to use a Samsung smartphone with a Samsung TV, because the usability of the TV is even easier to get use to, since it has the same platform, setup, and settings similarities.

We bought this to replace a 47″ HD Smart TV where the video board had broken. Buying it was easy enough and after unpacking it and spending half an hour mounting it, the new TV wouldn’t go into ‘Set Up’ mode – specifically we couldn’t select any of the set up options using the Volume button on the remote control as the TV’s set up requires.

The TV wouldn’t even switch on/off using the power button on the remote. We checked the battery voltage for the included batteries and they were both fine at 1. 6V. When I pointed the remote at my mobile phone camera with the phone’s Photo app, I couldn’t see any infra red light when I pressed any of the remote buttons, so the remote was DOA.

After spending 10-15 minutes texting with Samsung support (who asked me to do everything I’d already done), they offered to send a new remote. We declined and decided just to return the TV and get another one.

So less than 3 hours after we bought it, we drove the 16 mile round trip to our local Sam’s Club, returned it and bought an identical one. This time, as soon as we had been scanned at the store exit, I opened the box, took out the remote and popped the batteries in it.

I think pointed it at my mobile phone with the camera app on and could see the infrared light pulsing when I pressed the remote buttons, so I knew this one was OK. We got it home, mounted it on the wall and it set up as expected.

What I found really disappointing was that we’re charged a $6 recycling fee here in CA on purchases of TVs and other electronic goods. Despite selling a TV that wasn’t working, the recycling fee wasn’t refunded when I returned the broken TV.

So I ended up paying the recycling fee twice, once on the TV that was DOA and a second time on a TV that actually worked. That is hardly customer service for a Plus membership. We’re glad this thing came with a 3 year warranty!.

The Q70 was delivered and installed by BestBuy. It worked great for maybe 4 months. One day I was watching a workout video and noticed a weird distortion in one corner, then realized the screen had separated from the back panel.

That separation then allowed a couple bugs to get between the lcd and backlight. I called Samsung who sent a tech a few days later who saw the bug and said it was an insect infestation (one visible bug) and that voided the warranty and he left.

I got ahold of Samsung via Twitter and got gaslighted by their rep and told too bad, so sad, there was nothing they could do. I tried the phone and got somewhat better results, insisting that they send a competent repair person or a new TV.

The agreed to look at it again. Today while I was at work the entire screen just fell off. I called the Samsung and told them no need to rediagnose, the screen fell off and broke, so send the tech with a new screen or whole new TV.

The wanted to know if I’d gotten an exterminator, etc, and admitted they were not planning on bringing any parts to perform the repair. Now they say they’ll try to get it fixed depending on what the tech finds on Friday.

We’ll see, but after having to reps just blow me off, and having to try multiple paths just to get an honest resolution isn’t a good sign. A TV that falls apart on it’s own after only 4 months should be replaced by the manufacturer no questions asked.

When consumers look for reviews, they want to know more about the products. Honest opinion about how good/bad the product is before they to commit to buy is important. It also is a good way for the manufactures to look our reviews and try correct their mistakes and to make better future products.

Sometimes people simply complain about the shipment or broken item which does not really provide tangible information about the product itself. Now about this TV Q70R 82″ size. I have had this TV for a few weeks.

I have spent a few hours to calibrate the TV to achieve the desired results that suits my situation. This TV a mid-level from Samsung in terms of pricing, and it is a really bright TV with bright vivid colors.

Samsung has always separated itself from other by providing bright colors by default, but you can adjust colors and calibrate the TV to your desired settings. The black levels are on par with what Samsung has advertised.

They are not super black like Q90R but really decent enough that you can enjoy your movies or TV shows. Next to LG, the Samsung TVs have one of the most efficient and smooth operating system. Going to Netflix Amazon Prime apps take a bout 2 seconds.

Navigating through apps are really buttery smooth. Shadow details are better than Q80R, but Q80R provides better black levels. Simply put the picture quality on this TV is simply fantastic. But there are some issues with motion blur and ghosting on 24fps movies.

No matter how you adjust the setting for “Auto Motion Plus” , you will still have motion blur. I called Samsung Support, and they even sent the tech support team to my house and you will still have this issue.

I notice this mostly on Netflix or Amazon prime videos. I do not have cable, but I do have Live TV from Youttube and I have not experienced this with any Sports. Bixby works most of the times, but you have to speak at a normal voice (not too fast), but Samsung has some work to do to make Bixby more user friendly, otherwise most people will get annoyed by it.

Below are my ratings for this TV: 1. Picture Quality – Excellent/A 2. Operating System Very Good/A- 3. Black Levels – Good/B 4. Motion handling OK /C+ (not sure if Samsung can fix this with firmware update) 5.

Brightness Good/B 6. Build Quality Good/B (has plastic bezels, where the Q80R and Q90R are aluminum) 7. Voice Remote OK/C+ (Bixby needs some improvements. Samsung can reach out to me on how to improve ) 8.

Sound Quality Good/B 9. Overall TV performance and quality Good/B I believe overall for the price (82″ model), this is a really good TV. I chose this TV over the LG 86″ Nanocell (though I was very tempted to order the 86″ Nanocell because of the technology such as HDMI 2.

1, and the support for Dolby Vision). The TV up scales the 720p/1080p cable content as best as it can. But right out of the box, the Picture quality for the average TV consumer is really great, and that is why I recommend this TV, knowing that you might experience soap opera effects and motion blur issues with movies that are filmed at 24 fps.

bought 11/2019. ota and streaming only. screen goes black with sound playing in the background. i can shine a flashlight at an angle and i’m able to reset the tv which i do twice a day currently researching other brands too bad.

faithful samsung owner. my last samsung lasted 10 yrs this one did not! bought parents samsung. loved this tv and with the price tag it was a disappointment. been hanging on wall since its arrival. time to give my $ to another brand.

The TV is an upgrade from our existing TV. However, if you want to mount the tv to an existing wall mount. They do not provide the 4 screws needed unless you buy Samsung’s $90 wall mount. The manual incorrectly states that it requires a M4 20mm 1.

25 pitch screw. Screws from local hardware stores come standard as M4 20mm (varying length) with a. 70 picth. I am annoyed that they made this product in a way to squeeze more money out of you. They didn’t even provide you with 4 screws that fit after what is spent to purchase this product.

Until I upgrade my receiver I am only getting 1080p. Coming from 720 its a big difference but I can’ts wait so see the 4K quality until I upgrade my receiver to be hdcp 2. 2 compliant.

Crisp 4K resolution and nice sound quality. Samsung also boasts one of the most user-friendly interfaces and the apps have nearly every streaming service available. I’ve owned nearly every brand of 4K Tv’s and Samsung and LG are the best.

Their quality is superior to other brands and their models and features cannot be beaten. I recommend Samsung they have models for every need without sacrificing features and quality. Their line also includes affordable models and high-end depending on your budget.

The picture on this is very clear and there is great color depth. I like the compatibility with Bluetooth and air play. I use this primarily for gaming and have had no issues. One thing I noticed, though, is that there is a lag with using the tv remote.

However, I would still highly recommend this as an affordable 4K tv. Definitely worth spending the extra guap and avoiding the super cheap 4Ks like Hisense and TCL. The difference is substantial.

I love this TV. I really like how I don’t have to connect anything to it in order to watch Netflix or Amazon TV, and so forth. The only issue is, it is showing its age. The TV turns off on its own now every few days.

Its time for a new one honestly. I would definitely recommend Samsung TV’s to others though. We had it for years and moved 4 times before a single issue popped up. The picture is crystal clear and the speakers are of a good, loud sound quality.

We purchased this television, it’s in our home hooked up, and now we’ve discovered it’s for commercial use is there a way to change it to home use? Now that we have hooked this up the picture is not as good as our previous Samsung televisions.

I wish there was a telephone number for us to call so that this television can be used in our home. My husband just said it’s better than nothing but surely not up the SAMSUNG’S regular standards. The picture is blurry if all the functions worked we could make it working properly.

My advise is: DON’T BUY THIS MODEL.

This television is the perfect size for either a bedroom or a living room. It can be mounted nicely on the wall. Since it’s a smart TV it has all the apps I usually use. The picture quality is phenomenal and the sound is so crisp.

10/10 would purchase another one for my bedroom.

This TV is by the far the best I’ve yet to buy! The picture quality tue crisp sound that comes out of the speakers. The sleek design and black exterior goes perfect with my family room. We don’t miss a beat with the LED lighting making the picture perfect for viewing.

For a everyday low price which is easily aforadable.
