Picture books for 2nd graders are books that are specifically designed for children in the 2nd grade. They usually have lots of pictures and relatively few words, and they cover a variety of topics that are of interest to 2nd graders.
Some popular picture books for 2nd graders include “The Cat in the Hat,” “Green Eggs and Ham,” and “The Very Hungry Caterpillar. “.
OH NO There’s a dragon in this picture book by bestselling author, YouTube star, and musician Tom Fletcher–author of There’s a Monster in Your Book A 2019 Children’s Choice Award Honor Book (K-2nd grade).
First, there’s an egg in your book. Then the cutest baby dragon you’ve ever seen hatches from it. But don’t tickle its nose, and whatever you do, don’t let it sneeze ACHOO OH MY Tom Fletcher’s infectious read-aloud invites kids to use their powers of imagination–along with some stamping, blowing, and flapping–to save their book from an adorable little dragon’s flammable sneezes Children will be delighted to participate in this satisfying tale, a sequel to There’s a Monster in Your Book.
The bestselling author of The Dinosaur That Pooped series has once again paired up with illustrator Greg Abbott to create another creature that readers will fall in love with–and want to play with–again and again Tom Fletcher has a huge social-media presence with over a million followers on Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
His videos “Buzz and the Dandelions” and “My Wedding Speech” went viral and have been viewed tens of millions of times all over the world.
My daughter really loves it, the story is very fun and because it is an interactive book this board version is so much better than the hardcover, my daughter can use it easily, no paper cuts and no damage to the book.
My grandson absolutely LOVES this book! Such a cute story, artwork and interactive with the reader. As a grandma and an ECE teacher I highly recommend!
This book is super cute and can be interactive. I love it for a younger child that isn’t quite ready for regular books. I have a 3y/o that asks for this book each night before bed! (Same as the Monster book!!!).
It’s the night before the Big Day—first grade. Penny is excited to start the year with her best friend right beside her in the same classroom. This humorous take on Clement C. Moore’s classic tale has a perfect twist ending that will surprise readers—as well as the “heroine” of the story—and help all about-to-be first-graders through their own back-to-school jitters.
I am a first grade teacher, and I bought this book to use as a read aloud on the first day of school. It was short and sweet, and I’m sure the students will be able to connect to the main character in this story! The pictures are beautiful, and very detailed, and I love how the story is modeled after “The Night Before Christmas” – so cute!.
My daughter is entering 1st grade in September. She’s so nervous. This is a great book to calm her nerves and show her that although it’s not kindergarten she will be just as comfortable once she gets adjusted.
The Caldecott Honor-winning classic by bestselling picture-book creator David Shannon! When David Shannon was five years old, he wrote and illustrated his first book. On every page were these words: NO, DAVID!.
and a picture of David doing things he was not supposed to do. Now David is all grown up. But some things never change. Over fifteen years after its initial publication, NO, DAVID! remains a perennial household favorite, delighting children, parents, and teachers alike.
David is a beloved character, whose unabashed good humor, mischievous smile, and laughter-inducing antics underline the love parents have for their children–even when they misbehave.
This book is excellent as it invokes discussion with children. They can see what David is doing wrong and will tell you what he should do. Excellent for kids with disabilities that learn through pictures and cannot read or don’t have a huge vocabulary.
One of the books shows David’s bottom. The kids love it and giggle. Definitely a captured audience with books by David Shannon.
The David series from David Shannon are delightful for young and old. David may be the most mischievous little boy ever. And he always has that gleam in his eye. Highly recommend this dries along with Shannons other books.
Go on a pumpkin hunt with Duck & Goose in this fall themed board book! Now an animated series, available to stream on Apple TV+! New York Times bestselling author and illustrator Tad Hills brings our favorite feathered friends out to find a big, beautiful pumpkin in this sturdy board book.
Duck & Goose look everywhere for a pumpkin-in the apple tree, in the leaf pile, inside a hollow log. Where will they find one? Perfect for your favorite fall holidays, and a fun read-a-long for fans of Duck and Goose any time of year!.
This is a cute book. It’s about Duck and Goose wandering around trying to find a pumpkin. They look and look until a friend directs them to the nearest pumpkin patch. It has great illustrations. My kids like it.
My parents bought my 19 month old son another Duck and Goose book and he loved it. So when Halloween rolled around, we had to get him this book! He loves it!! Every morning he wakes up and says, “DUSSIES (Duckies)!” and points to the book.
He loved this book so much, he slept with it a few times because he refused to let go of it when he went to bed. We have a pond in our neighborhood and would visit the ducks every day, so my son knew what ducks were and already loved them before we got this book.
If a child didn’t like ducks or know what they were, I’m not sure if they would like this book. But my son likes these books because he loves ducks!.
The sequel to the New York Times and Caldecott Honor–winning Click, Clack, Moo is now available as a Level 2 Ready-to-Read! Farmer Brown is going on vacation. He asks his brother, Bob, to take care of the animals.
“But keep an eye on Duck. He’s trouble. ” Bob follows the instructions in Farmer Brown’s notes exactly. He orders pizza with anchovies for the hens, bathes the pigs with bubble bath, and lets the cows choose a movie.
Is that he giggling he hears? Giggle, giggle quack, giggle, moo, giggle, oink… The duck, the cows, the hens, and the pigs are back in top form in this hilarious follow-up to the beloved Caldecott Honor Book Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type.
My son LOVES Click Clack Moo and Dooby Dooby Moo by the same author, Doreen Cronin. I was looking forward to this book but it just isn’t as catchy and cute as the other two books. Those other two are more sing-song and also more funny.
So although it is the same group of characters, I can’t really recommend this book as anything special. Nothing wrong with it, but it isn’t a must-read-every-night kind of book.
I have used this book in the classroom and my students enjoyed the humour so much that they asked for the story to be read again and again. The illustrations really add to the story.
Bob Books are back, now with a bright, unique box display and colored illustrations throughout that make learning to read even more fun! Bob Books Set 2: Advancing BeginnersBob Books Set 2 continues to build reading skills.
Use of three-letter words and consistent vowel sounds in slightly longer stories build confidence. Children love the hilarious (and sometimes mischievous) stories and pictures. These twelve books, filled with fun, drama, and surprise keep interest high for even the youngest readers.
Developed to guide your child gently through the earliest stages of reading, Bob Books were created to facilitate that ah-ha moment when letters first turn into words. By slowly introducing new letter sounds, using consistency, repetition and stories that fit short attention spans, your child will quickly find his or her way down the path of reading.
Each level addresses a stage in reading development; this carefully crafted, simple, and progressive approach to learning assures children success and confidence from their very earliest reading experience.
Use of three-letter words and consistent vowel sounds in slightly longer stories build confidence in Bob Books Set 2. 12 books, 12 pages each.
This set is the natural progression from the Bob Books Set 1, and a great one at that. My son loves that he can read a “whole book” (each set comes with 12 small books inside). And we both enjoy discussing the questions/topics from the back cover of each book – his answers let me know that he was not only reading the words on the page but comprehending what the characters have accomplished within the realm of each book.
I have never seen my son beam with such pride over an accomplishment before – saying “The End” at the end of each book elicits a broad smile and an assured look. Mostly, I love that each book builds from the last with similar, but different, sounds and a few new “site” words that must be memorized for each – so he uses a combination of phonics (sounding the words out) and just plain word memory (for words like “the” and “was” that don’t sound like they are spelled).
These books have been the best investment yet. Great value for all that you get.
Payment and transaction could not have been easier. The books arived quicker than expected. I love all of the Bob Books collections. My 5 year old son was struggling with beginner reading books and these have made all of the difference in the world.
They are repeative with subtle introductions to new words and letter sounds. Most of the words are 3-4 letters so they are easy to sound out. After gaining confidence with this series he’s now moved on to the next set.
Our child had no interest in learning how to read until we discovered BOB Books. He flew through set 1 and couldn’t wait until set 2 arrived. In just 2 weeks time, he’s reading better than I ever imagined.
We couldn’t be more pleased. What a great way to build your child’s confidence with reading! WalMart had the best price. We ordered all sets available at WalMart (all except set 3). All of the boxes have come a little crushed, but the books are fine.
What is a verb? What is regrouping? How fast do plants grow?‚ You will be amazed by what your second grader will practice and master with this book. Plus, each page is perforated so it can be torn out for individual worksheets.
Your child will learn and reinforce many important second-grade skills as he or she counts, identifies, estimates, creates, and measures. Everything from numbers to shapes to writing to weather is covered in this workbook full of friendly pictures and colors.
Put the joy back in learning for your child today.
I could not beat the price for a 320 page workbook. My children like them so much, they have been working in them, and we just got them today! I ordered two books, and even though the books are great, I received two different versions.
2008 and 2012 versions are quite different, with several sections the same, but in a different order. Some sections are entirely different, and my daughters are twins, and would have liked the same book.
But this doesn’t take away from the book at all. They (the children) are still quite happy with their books. The versions look the same from the outside, but when opened they are different. The work seems on schedule for 2nd grade, though there is some 1st grade review.
These work books really help keep my children learning through the summer. I always get the next year to help teach them new stuff and it really helps them throughout the year.
My 7 year old son, just finishing up first grade, is really enjoying this book so far. It seems to be mostly review for him, but we’ve only done a few pages out of each section. Either way I think it’s a great tool for him to have to keep him busy over the summer and get him ready for second grade.
Plus the price was great for such a large workbook.
When young fruit bat Stellaluna is separated from her mother, she’s adopted by a family of birds with very different habits in this award-winning and bestselling picture book classic. Knocked from her mother’s safe embrace by an attacking owl, Stellaluna lands headfirst in a bird’s nest.
This adorable baby fruit bat’s world is literally turned upside down when she is adopted by the occupants of the nest and adapts to their peculiar bird habits. Two pages of notes at the end of the story provide factual information about bats.
“Delightful and informative but never didactic; a splendid debut. ” –Kirkus Reviews.
I first discovered Stellaluna when I was working in an indie bookstore in 1992. It was the amazingly beautiful artwork that drew me, but as I read the book, I found myself tearing up at the happy end.
This book is about loss, acceptance, growing up, and loving your whole family, be it biological or adopted. The feelings of loss are temporary, as Stellaluna & her mother are reunited at the end. (I described it to a friend that it’s somewhat like Bambi, if his mother hadn’t died but recovered & found her fawn months later.
So better, because I’m 53 now & still traumatized by seeing Bambi when I was young. ) Anyway, since my early 20s when I first read the classic Stellaluna, I’ve given it as a present to my baby nephew & other children who have entered my life, and all the parents have told me it became one of those beloved, “read it again” books.
My nephew is now 17 & he told me last week, “I loved that book!” That he remembers it while surrounded by sci-fi books and video games is a testament to how special Stellaluna is.
Bought this for my 4 year old (who likes fruit bats) from a recommended list from ‘A Mighty Girl’. Funnily enough, her preschool had just been doing things on differences, so the timing couldn’t have been better.
While she enjoyed the story and thought the bat trying to be a bird was funny (same with the birds trying to be bats), she actually thought about people’s differences. She even came up with some great questions – a great chance for teaching and learning.
All this on top of a very cute little story, that we’ve read over and over.
This story is about fitting in/being different and it delivers the message in a great way. I will warn you right away-buy this is hardcover because it will get worn out from being read over and over.
In a perfect world I would buy a hardcover shelf copy for reading with a grown-up and a kid friendly soft cover copy that can get demolished from small hands at play. Janell Cannon wrote AND illustrated this book and she has a flair for painting animal characters in awkward situations and she has mastered the knack of getting facial expressions to tell a multitude of emotions.
A hungry owl out hunting tries to catch a Mother Bat. In the scuffle the baby bat that the mother was carrying falls into a bird nest. LOST! The Mother Bird adds the baby as one of her own chick teaching the new family member all the rules of being a bird.
Every kid will delight as this scruffy baby bat named Stellaluna tries to do bird things to fit in with her new family. Kids will wriggle with delight as Stellaluna learns to eat bugs instead of fruit and to not to hang upside down or fly during the night.
In the end the Stellaluna is reunited with her mother and the world is made right again. The art is captivating and adds to the storyline. This story is sure to be a family favorite. If you are buying for a gift it is worth every penny for a new hardcover.
This is a perfect gift for grade school teachers to add to classroom collections or if you are a teacher this book is loved from age 3-8. This is a great pick for boys learning to read, perfect for school donations, and a great lap-sitting book for both boys and girls.
RICH CHICKS specializes in media that is purchased by women. We read hundreds of books every year and are serious about or recommendations. We review books that are of interest to our female demographic.
Jim the chimpanzee wakes up in a bad mood one beautiful day, but he keeps denying he is grumpy even as his friends give advice for feeling better. A hilarious picture book about dealing with unexplained feelingsEand the danger in suppressing them.
I LOVE THIS BOOK. Will buy another in the series. The art is fantastic and story is pleasant. No regrets. Lots of pages. Bigger than expected but nice!! Well worth the price and more
My family loves these cute little stories about the Grumpy Monkey so much. The books are adorable, and the stories are fun for both parent and child. My husband and I both love reading these books to our son.
The art is so cute as well. I would definitely highly recommend getting these books for your little ones!.
Loved this story. My daughter is 4 and going through some BIG feelings and this story says you might not even realize that you are feeling an uncomfortable feeling, but it’s ok to feel that way anyway.
Easily in the top 3 of my toddler son’s favorites. He loves opening the flaps and yelling “no!”. It holds up well with all the reading we have put it through as well as all the flap lifting. It’s a smaller book than a lot of the others which makes it easy to throw in a diaper bag or overnight bag.
This book is my son’s favorite. It is perfect for curious infants and toddlers who are learning the concept of prepositions (in, under, on, etc. ). However, the flaps are thin and easily torn. The book itself is sturdy and perfect for toddlers.
I am buying a second book because my son loves the story so much.
I love the fact my son could flip the flap and try to find spot. So many pages. They learn about different places he could be and the learn different types of animal. Which their could be a box set.

Makes learning fun+ gratifying for our youth. As a former school teacher, it’s imperative to make sessions pleasing so children want to seek more interaction.
My 8 yeast old son lives this book. Everyday he stays the day reading one of thre activities and then doing it. He easily understands each page ands loves that it is written in a very fun way that kids can easily understand.
A beloved Bright and Early Board Book by P. D. Eastman, now in a larger size! A sturdy board book edition of P. D. Go!, now available in a bigger size perfect for babies and toddlers! This abridged version of the classic Beginner Book features red dogs, blue dogs, big dogs, little dogs—all kinds of wonderful dogs—riding bicycles, scooters, skis, and roller skates and driving all sorts of vehicles on their way to a big dog party held on top of a tree! A perfect gift for baby showers, birthdays, and happy occasions of all kinds, it will leave dog lovers howling with delight!.
Go Dog Go is an excellent book for beginners . The story is stimulating for a learning child . This copy I bought for my nephew . I hope he enjoys learning simple words from it.
My two and a half year old son absolutely loves this book, and I remember being equally enamoured with it when I was a child. The simple pictures, words, and concepts are great for capturing the attention and imagination of a child.
P. D. Eastman is great for early readers, with lots of rhyming words, rhythm and expressive language. Older children enjoy the subtle humour in the story – particularly the section about the funny hats.
Kids also enjoy the unusual surprise ending. I find it difficult to understand why this book is so hard to find in “normal” bookstores.
This is our new favorite book! When I first read this book to my children we laughed and laughed until our stomachs hurt! I made all of my older children read it as well. They rolled their eyes, “Mom, you’re making me read a kids’ book?” but then they laughed and laughed as well.
I just discovered Elephant and Piggie books, and I absolutely love them. They teach excellent values of friendship, sharing, kindness, etc. etc. but even more importantly, they are brilliant and clever; surprisingly fun and truly hilarious.
This is also an excellent price on Walmart, and I have started buying extra copies of this book to give as birthday gifts. I highly recommend this and other elephant and piggie books.
I bought this book originally for my son in a book store because it had won a readers award. I read this book once and my son who was 5 at the time loved it and asked for me to read it again. We fell in love with the Elephant and Piggie series and we now own them all and read at least one to three books a night in addition to other books.
We love the series and recommend this book and others in the series to other beginner readers. I bought this book as a gift for my son’s kindergarten class. I love that Walmart offers a chance for you to pick five books for 25 dollars, that’s a deal for hard cover books and it beats buying the series indivdually and it saves you several dollars per book.
This is a witty book with a most engaging premise. Children at the early reading stage find it seductive and laugh delightedly when their familiar characters peer out of the page, realizing they are being read.
Gerald the worry-wort elephant is a great creation, balanced beautifully by calm, down to earth Piggie. A great read for both children and adults.
Celebrate diversity and inclusion with this New York Times bestselling picture book about a school where all are welcome Look under the jacket for a poster, and don’t miss the fold-out page at the end of the book.
Follow a group of children through a day in their school, where everyone is welcomed with open arms. A school where kids in patkas, hijabs, and yarmulkes play side-by-side with friends in baseball caps.

“–Kirkus, Starred review “A lively, timely picture book. “–Booklist “A great read-aloud selection to start the year and revisit time and again. ” –School Library Journal.
This book focuses on diversity in a very approachable way. The book also features beautiful illustrations and has a fold-out page near the end that engages kids. I recommended this book for my company’s virtual story time.
This book is such a pleasure to read to my toddler! He loves the illustrations and it’s such a great jumping off place to talk about all of our differences whether it be skin color, having a disability, eating different foods etc.
It is a book that really celebrates all of our differences in the eyes of children. It is in frequent rotation as our nighttime read.
Cute book but very few words on each page so you flip through the book really quickly. I wish there was a bit more to the story and more text on each page.
This beloved New York Times bestselling picture book is a fun-filled, inspiring story about the power of teamwork and the importance of celebrating individual gifts and self-expression. And now you can follow Iggy’s further adventures–with his friends Rosie Revere and Ada Twist–in the instant New York Times bestseller Rosie Revere and the Raucous Riveters, an all-new chapter book starring The Questioneers Some kids sculpt sand castles.

It looks as if Iggy will have to trade in his T square for a box of crayons. until a fateful field trip proves just how useful a mast builder can be. – Collect them all Add these other STEM favorites from #1 New York Times bestselling team Andrea Beaty and David Roberts to your family library today Rosie Revere, Engineer – Ada Twist, Scientist – Rosie Revere and the Raucous Riveters – Ada Twist and the Perilous Pants – Ada Twist’s Big Project Book for Stellar Scientists – Iggy Peck’s Big Project Book for Amazing Architects – Rosie Revere’s Big Project Book for Bold Engineers Questioneers Famiy Calendar.
Our great nephew met Iggy Peck yesterday, and we heard the usually dreaded “Again,” three times. Each time he giggled more in anticipation and when he saw the unmentionable on the bridge, he was thrilled.
If you have a boy who has any interest in building, then buy this book. It’s cute, rhyming and keeps his attention. My 6 year old loves to create and we always tell him he may be an engineer or an architect.
I absolutely loved this book. I purchased it for my 17 month old, hoping that he would grow into it. He sat through the whole book with me and pointed at the shoes and pencils! He loved it, too, so much so that I immediately ordered him the other three books in the series (Rosie Revere, Ada Twist, and Sofia Valdez).
These are wonderful and aspirational rhyming books, and I look forward to reading them over and over!.
Mercer Mayer’s Little Critter wants to show you all the things he can do for himself in this classic, funny, and heartwarming book. Whether he’s tying his shoes, coloring a picture, or riding his bike, both parents and children alike will relate to this beloved story.

I bought this book for my 2 year old great grandson. He has other Mercer Mayer books and loves them. I thought this would be a good one for him. given his age. It is exactly what I expected. as good as all the other Mercer Mayer books!.
I bought this book as a Christmas gift to my son. I used to live these books when I was a child, so I’m sure he will too! I gave it a 4 star only because I haven’t read it yet.
Categories: Feelings and emotions->Children’s fiction, Books, Child behavior->Children’s fiction. Contributors: Jo Witek – Author. Format: Hardcover Title: In My Heart: A Book of Feelings
A very sweet explanation of the world of feelings, suitable for older toddlers and above, accented with colorful three-dimensional hearts. Our four-year-old granddaughter received this for her birthday, and I immediatly ordered a copy for myself.
It’s a beautiful volume, and surprisingly inexpensive for the lovely quality.
I absolutely love this book, I bought 2, I’m a mother of a toddler who throws tantrums a lot. I bought this book to read so he knows and understands his feelings and to teach him how to express them.
I’m also a Pre-K teacher so I thought this boom would be nice to share with my class, often feelings and emotions go unrecognized.
This beautiful book cleverly uses a cut out heart motif throughout to discuss a huge range of emotions. It would be the perfect gift for a young child who may need encouragement or help in talking about their emotions ( especially ones about anger , fears or sadness ) as it would give the parent / friend/ teacher the opportunity to read a page and then ask the child if they have ever felt this way.
It would also be a very good resource for a primary school library.
This Caldecott Honor Book and #1 New York Times bestseller is perfect for pig-loving kids everywhere! It’s everyone’s favorite pig. it’s OLIVIA! Join Olivia as she. -dresses up -sings songs -builds sand castles -naps (maybe) -dances -paints on walls -and—whew!—.
Olivia is a great depiction of what it is like to be a young girl from the child’s perspective. It tells how she feels when it comes to taking care of family pets, putting up with little brothers, and going on some of her favorite adventures.
We also find out about some of the trials that Olivia has to put up with such as taking a nap, sitting in time out, and getting ready for bed. This book would be great for young kids because it shows them that all kids go through the same things but at the end of the day no matter how much they wear someone out, that someone loves them anyways.
Another reason I would recommend this book is for its illustrations. I love the way that it is done in black and white with a bit of color thrown into each picture to help enhance the subject of each page.
Great book. Beautiful illustrations and cute story. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is it’s a bit bulky to hold with one hand when you’re holding an infant in the other hand!
After reading reviews I expected to like this book more for my daughter but I didn’t like the family Dynamics in the story and the way the mother pig treated the daughter. Seems a bit regressive and supports sexist stereotypes of women being catty gossips.
The Picture Book of Saints contains the stories of the lives of 106 popular saints, and each is made more memorable by a twofold portrayal in word and picture. The Picture Book of Saints contains the stories of the lives of 106 popular saints, and each is made more memorable by a twofold portrayal in word and picture.
This edition of Picture Book of Saints is perfect for gift giving as it comes in a lovely sturdy box and has gold edging on the side which makes it feel very special and premium. It has the same wonderful content as the book with the illustrated cover, but this burgundy edition has a nice soft feel to it that elevates this version.
It was a First Communion gift that was well received. I recommend it for yourself or for a gift!.
We bought this for our 7 year old son, as a gift for his reconciliation. It was perfect. It’s adult like with the leather like cover and it comes in a box but the illustrations and paragraphs are very kid friendly.
Exactly what we were looking for. I recommend it for kids ages 7-12 (give or take).
This is a great help to children as they begin their journey thru life. It might always awaken in adults the fact that they have great models to help them thru their tough decisions each day to follow the Spirit.
Unparalleled in scope and quality and designed for reading aloud and sharing, this splendid anthology brings together some of the most memorable and beloved children’s books of our time. Here are classics such as Madeline and Curious George; contemporary bestsellers such as Guess How Much I Love You and The Stinky Cheese Man; Caldecott Medal winners such as Make Way for Ducklings and Where the Wild Things Are; and family favorites such as Goodnight Moon, The Sneetches, Winnie-the-Pooh, and Alexander & The Terrible, No Good Very Bad Day, soon to be a motion picture.
The selections range from concept books and wordless books to picture books and short read-aloud stories, and represent the complete array of childhood themes and reading needs: ABCs, number and color books, stories about going to bed and going to school; tales about growing up, siblings, parents, and grandparents; animal stories, fantasies; fables; magical stories; stories about everyday life–and more.
This beautiful edition includes a recommended list of books published in the time since this anthology’s original compilation, including Caldecott Honors Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! and Olivia, with descriptive annotations intended to guide parents to these new books and new voices of the 21st century.
Also included are an introduction from editor Janet Schulman, capsule biographies of the 62 writers and artists represented in the collection, color-coded running heads indicating age levels, and indexes.
As a gift, a keepsake, and a companion in a child’s first steps toward a lifelong love of reading, The 20th Century Children’s Book Treasury belongs in every family’s bookcase.
This is a great collection of stories at an incredible price! I agree with reviews that I have seen elsewhere that the photos are small/compressed compared to the individual books themselves, but for our family, we don’t really notice as we’re reading the stories.
For the stories that I am familiar with, the author seems to have done an excellent job at including as much as they possibly could into a book that you are still able to hold in one hand. Our reading times are a “gather in close” time, so the smaller version of the pictures really do not take away any magic from story time.
We also love the variety of stories presented, as well as the ability to take a whole library of books on the road with ease!.
For bilingual couple this book is an investment for you child or children to learn new language. 3 books in one is a steal, there’s French-English-Spanish version for parents who speak French fluently and Spanish.
This book is translated in so many different languages and the story is mesmerized. I brought it for my goddaughter and my son. So, parents check out and tell me your point for view regarding the Cat, the Fish and the Waiter.
Book was in great condition as described. Wonderful collection of short stories I loved as a child, with stories for different age ranges, and with various storytelling styles. I would be very shocked if there wasn’t at least a good handful of stories that your child would adore.
My mother’s previous copy was damaged from aging, so I bought her this one as a surprise. She was very touched and happy to look back on the stories.
