20 Best No Spill Dog Water Bowl (2023 Updated)

We had to put our dog down the day after we had these dishes delivered. However, we had two before we ordered these, his old ones were beginning to crack, but they were plastic and these are not. They really are splash proof, and I would still highly recommend them.

I cant go thru another death of a pet, so there wont be anymore in this house. Anybody need 3 brand new splash proof water dishes? Or 2 used ones? We always kept one in the house and one in the camper, so we ordered 3 so wed have 2 new ones to use and 1 for a back up.

We love these water dishes, they REALLY ARE spill proof!.

I have 3 little dogs that I kennel in a huge soft sided kennel in my living room when I’m not home, but they always spill the water over and it gets EVERYTHING wet. I’ve been looking forever for a better solution to my water bowl dilemma and I have found my saving grace in this bowl! It truly is a no spill water bowl! I was little nervous cause it seemed light, but it works and works amazing! I bought 2 bowls one for the kennel and one as their every day bowl for the house.

It’s the perfect size for 3 smalls dogs and would be great for a medium sized dog as well. I wouldn’t recommend it for a large breed, my brother’s mastiff had a little bit of a hard time drinking from it.

My other brother’s labrador didn’t have any trouble though and as I said my 3 small dogs( 10-14lbs. ) Had no trouble either. I don’t even accidentally spill the water bowl anymore either! No more wet socks for me and no more water mess to clean up after I get home.

A potty pad under a water bowl only does so much, but this bowl truly is no spill! The bowls also arrived on time, which is always great too!.

My no spill bowls work great! The lids seal very well. The water stays in the bowl and is easy for my dogs to get a drink. I have one in my van for road trips and one in my jeep for when we’re exploring back roads.

On one trip, one of my dogs stepped on the edge of the bowl and flipped it upside down, even when that happened very little water splashed out on the floor. I am very happy with my no spill bowls.

Just bought one for my new puppy, a border collie. I bought my first Yeti bowl 2 years ago. At the time my border collie puppy was 6 mos old and kept flipping his food bowl over; any and every bowl. So PC Richard started carrying this $50 dogfood bowl which I first thought was a little much.

But hey if it doesn’t flip over, then to me it’s worth it. So we used it for a week and although he tried, the bowl did not flip over due to how it is weighted. Then being a border collie he figured something out.

he kept nudging it with his snout and inch by inch moved it into an inside corner of the walls. Once in the corner he got leverage to slightly lift the edge of the bowl off the floor, and after some tries he figured how to push it up and get his nose under more of it.

until he was able to flip it up against the wall and then paw at it and nudge it upside down finally. I swear he turned around and grinned at me for his accomplishment. He never did it again, he just wanted me to know that as the smartest dog, a border collie, he could.

Purchased this because I?m notorious for kicking the collapsible bowl over when we?re camping. This bowl is sturdier and more durable. It?s weighted at the bottom with a grippy pad so it doesn?t get knocked over easily.

Bonus: its dishwasher safe. My pup is probably the max size for the 4 cup bowl, he?s a 30 pound heeler and it fits him just right for his 1. 5 cup scoop of food. I do have to refill the water several times a day so we probably could have gone with the 8 cup, but he?s really good at getting sticks and mud in his bowl when we?re camping so what we have works for us.

If you?re dog is bigger than 30lbs would recommend getting the bigger bowl, especially if you plan on using it daily. We?ll keep the collapsible bowl for backpacking but this is now our go-to for picnics, car camping, play dates, and doggy park days.

We’ve had these YETI Boomer 4 Dog Bowls for over a month, and our girls are happy. We purchased 4 of these bowls and placed them at various areas in our home, with one outdoors. Our 4 Australian Shepherd girls have never drank so much, and that’s a good thing.

The size is ideal for keeping it freshly filled. The water stays cool which entices them to lap it up. Good thing we have a doggie door with access to the great outdoors because with all that drinking those girls have got to go! Thanks YETI for creating an ideal dog bowl.

I have a mini schnauzer and a blind young cat. My cat is very tactile and LOVE to flip, push, spill water bowls so that there’s water everywhere in the kitchen (not fun). I have bought so many bowls over the years that were extra heavy/spill proof, but I swear, they only made him stronger! I had resorted to putting Gorilla tape on my latest bowl, but with my OCD cleaning habits, it was too much to pull it up and retape.

Fast forward to googling bowls and finding this one! My dog drinks out of it easily (he is usually scared of metal bowls), and my cat CANNOT move this one at all. Not only is it really heavy when it has water in it, but that magic Smart Grip at the bottom is really a life (and floor) saver.

I have really large semi-matte tiles, so I was worried it wouldn’t grip, but so far, so good! I’m so grateful!.

Our boxer puppy is a crazy, rowdy girl who was always running into her bowl and spilling water everywhere or carrying her bowl around (empty or full). These are a lifesaver and save me so much time cleaning.

I love the lid they come with because I can fix her breakfast the night before, cover it and not worry about any Florida critters getting in it. It’s great for travel too. Do not hesitate to buy these.

Oh and I forgot to mention how this bowl keeps water cool for hours. I can put ice in the water and it’s still there 2 hours later.

I have an almost 13 year old Golden Retriever who now recently likes to tip his water bowl whenever we leave without him. At first we were like “oh Mosley it’s oh buddy†and now after the 50+ Time we’re done with cleaning it up.

It’s warped our hardwood floors to the point we’ll have to replace them. We purchased these bowls to fix the problem however with the warped wood, they don’t completely “sealâ€. Not the company’s problem at all.

So what we’ve done we’ve elevated the feeding platform with a simple platform of stained wood and placed a piece of marble leftover from our countertops. They completely stick and do as they advertise.

1- it’s helped us not have to clean up water anymore. 2- it’s elevated the feeding platform for our older dog. Thanks Toadfish for helping us and our dogs sanity.

Works well, has a few issues but nothing really bad. The bowl holds water good and doesn’t splash around even in a off road trail. The lid has a large o ring that seals up tight, sometimes to tight by that I mean it cant get air in tank to let the water rise into drinking area.

So sometimes you have to burp it to get water in bowl, could use a air inlet to correct that. I like the probability of it. The blue lid broke a piece out of it, just the edge, so now I have a air inlet for.

this one. Seems to still work fine maybe even better but will leak if tilted, where it doesn’t leak with normal seal ring. I like it over all and purchased a second one.

I purchased these as a replacement, my previous one wore out after three years. I take my dogs with me to work every day and they use the truck as a doghouse. I can refill the water and go for hours, they can drink as they please.

I leave a blanket underneath to catch any dribbling and wiping off dirty dogs paws, I use the water for my cleanup also. When I travel I can just standup the container and it doesn’t spill or drip.

Bought to put in back of SUV to go from NJ to MD. put in corner of hatchback area with JRTweenie and Boston Terrier. By the time we arrived, water had sloshed all over, blankets were soaked and dogs could not get water that was left due to the way product is designed.

This is my third bowl I am purchasing for my pack as it has significantly cut down on that inexplicable stuff that manages to float on the surface of the water when your dog submerge their mouths into the bucket, to get the freshest water at the bottom.

It also forces the dogs to drink more slowly which is an good thing. If it was a little bigger in volume I’d be very happy as I do have to fill it up for my slobbering behemoths a few times a day. The only thing sadly this bowl can not do is teach my dog not to retain a mouth of water as they walk across the room to then slowly leak the remainder of the liquid as they seek a fresh pair of human legs to dry their faces on.

When my two cats get the zoomies, they knock over their their non-slip food bowls (which sit on a non-slip mat), and they *used* to knock over their non-slip water dish too. But since I bought this Hydrain bowl, not a single drop of water has spilled on the floor.

The cats can push even this bowl around a little, but it never overturns; and the inward-hanging lip and floating insert keep all the water safely inside. I’m thrilled to finally have found a water bowl that my cats can’t spill!.

I got this for my still growing 5 month old puppy who now weighs 37 lbs and who revels in digging in the house water fountain. He still pokes his nose and paw in this bowl but the volume of water spilled is less than when he does this to our fountain.

It is a little smaller than I envisioned and the float thing gets wedged and stuck in the bowl. He hasn’t tried to turn it over and he doesn’t seem to like drinking out of it when he is in his pen.

I bought this because I thought it would deter my puppies from paddling and splashing away in their water bowl. The bowl worked at first when they saw there wasn’t much water to play with. Then they discovered they could just pick up the bowl and dump the water out.

My daughter picked out this bowl because her cat that typically stays with her at college likes to spray water out of the bowl, not just drink from it. And wow, does this bowl work well. Our two other cats, including our 14 year old, really, really like it.

Hard to find these No-Spill dog water dish for the car rides with pups. Can’t find them at brick and mortar stores, at least we could not and we went to the big pet stores in our area, as well as Wally World.

We now have three of them from Ebay and love them. The lid snaps off easily for quick cleaning when the water gets too old in it. Fills up easily and won’t spill while transferring it to your car or truck.

Great bowl for a great price. I had the powder coated bowl. After 2 years of consistent extreme temperature changes, sometimes -20 to 75 degrees I saw the inside of the bowl’s paint started to bubble and peel.

If you’re going to use it in a patrol car where the temperature is going from cold to hot and hot to cold (in the summer) I would recommend the plain aluminum. I just reordered the aluminum and plan on fixing the powder coated bowl since there is nothing wrong with it other then the powder coating starting to peel.

It is made well and has served me well. Always stayed in place and never spilled.

We love the spill proof water bowl. The only thing we would change is the attachment to our crate is too small. The bars on our crate are too big and prevent us from being able to attach the water bowl.

However we love that the water does not spill out when he tips it over so he never is without water. Great online shopping site, and fast shipping.

I bought this for my Rottie since the other more expensive no spill bowl was out of stock. This bowl is a ‘must have’ if your pup ever needs to be a cone head after seeing the vet!!!!! My boy here had a toenail surgery and he would literally flip his entire metal water bowl over due to the clumsy nature of having this huge cone on his head.

I have had Buddy Bowls for years now and have almost lost them a few times. Unfortunately, they are very hard to come by these days, so I got some Water Hole Bowls as replacements. If you just have a small amount of water in them, they don’t spill.

If you’ve never had a Buddy Bowl, you’ll probably be thrilled. For me, I was happy to drive 3 1/2 hours back to where I’d left the Buddy Bowl & reclaim it.

This is the second of this brand of water dish (Water-Hole)I’ve purchased. I bought the original one about 7 years ago for travel in my RV. It worked well to keep water available to my dogs without spilling.

I continued to use it at home, since I have a Boxer who slobbers water all over the place when I use a regular open water dish. This dish manages to keep her snout deep enough so that splashing outside the dish is minimized.

After 7 years, the snap on top has finally begun to split. Pretty good product life, in my opinion, for an inexpensive product. The top of the new dish is not quite as flexible as the original, so it’s a little harder to remove.

I’m hoping it will soften up over some time. Purchasing from Walmart online was easy and shipping was prompt. I’m pleased with both the product and the shopping experience.

Brought one as a extra bowl in the house and to use in the car. Since we have had it, the dogs wont use there old bowls anymore. For some reason they absolutely love it? They even wait by the sink when refilling! Can not fault the design, we have a very sloppy mastif and its reduced the mess by at least 75%.

My cat has issues with normal drinking bowls, she uses her paw to splash the water until it’s all over the floor. This bowl has stopped her. It’s just like drinking from a puddle, she’s a lot more chilled and never runs out of water now! Please note, for this purpose, I don’t place the black rim on it.

She has direct access to the float. The bowl itself it a solid piece, very well made. It’ll last a lifetime.

Quick delivery, no hassle and the bowl works a treat. With any other bowl we’ve had, the slightest knock would send water flying all over the floor. Not had a single spill since having this one and I’ve had a good try at it.

I have taken the float out because our dog isn’t slobbery and it makes it easier to change water and clean, still no spills. I am sure the float is a very good and clever addition and will try it out on long car journeys with the dog.

I got this bowl because Im a wheelchair user and regularly bump into the waterbowl in the house, causing water to splash out. I was excited to try it when the parcel arrived, but for some reason there is a sticker in the bowl that is nearly impossible to get out of it.

I found this very frustrating, as it took multiple days of soaking scrubbing it before we could actually use the bowl. However, this is a one-off inconvenience and now the bowl is in use I definitely have less water splashes around the house, and my dog lab, 25kg happily drinks from it.

The opening is plenty big for a large dog to drink from.

Great for travelling or even when you kick the bowl by mistake, the water stays inside the bowl, not over the floor! Great for dogs with beards (Scotties) as they lip helps to prevent drip mess from their beard.

The only downside to this purchase was the sticker in the inside bottom was very difficult to clean off the glue used. This is a manufacturer of distributer packaging issue.

Very disappointing to be honest. The lid is a poor fit and the plastic thin. The bowl is supposed to be non-slip but this is doubtful. We had a previous bowl with a rise and fall inner section which this does not have (to protect water spill).

There is no logo on the bowl.

I got this bowl for my 2 chihuahuas because one of them slurps and splashes water around when he drinks and the other one jumps a lot and a few time would land on the water bowl spilling it over. This bowl worked perfectly, no more spills, they drink from it with no problems.

It holds 2 cups of water and it’s very simple to open and close for cleaning. My dogs are 4 and 8 lbs so 2 cups of water lasts them a full day even while sharing. The only thing I would change is making it in more colors and more fashionable, not a big deal though.

I bought this dish for a 3 month old puppy, loving the idea that he wouldn’t be able to dig and play in the dish or tip it over and dump water all over the floor. Unfortunately, the dish has a hole in the side so you can pick it up easily.

Within 5 minutes my pup found the hole, picked it up and proceeded to run around the house with it, covering everything in his path! It is a great concept, just need to get rid of the hole!!!.

My two rotten cats love to dip their paws into the water bowl and drag the water out onto the kitchen floor. Not only did it make the floor a wet mess all the time but their dirty paws made their drinking water dirty.

This bowl stopped them from successfully wetting the floors and now they don’t even try. True fix to a problem. The ring lip on the top of the bowl is removable for easy cleaning.

This bowl works great! The only issue for me was that the bowl is too small. I have 3 small dogs and they drink a lot of water. I purchased the 32oz bowl and found that I really needed the next size up, the 64oz bowl.

So I ordered that bowl, I’ll use the smaller bowl when we go camping.

The bowl works but is very brittle. So if you accidentally drop the bowl on a hard surface it will fracture or chip creating sharp edges and becomes a cut hazard for the dog or people. I have owned two and have had the same issue twice.

Our dog is one who eats so fast you’d think we were going to steal it from him. Got him this bowl in the hope of slowing him down but it hasn’t slowed him down one bit. The only time he’s a little slower is if a little bit of food needs chasing around the post.

Don’t waste your money on this bowl, it just doesn’t work for dogs who literally inhale their food.

I have a golden retriever who can make a giant mess when getting a drink of water, but this bowl has helped to change that. My dog loves car rides and we typically take him with us for outings. I have always had to bring a dish and make him get out of the car for a drink because he makes a huge mess.

I couldn’t believe what a difference this water bowl made. The lip on the top really does help to keep him from splashing water everywhere. Now it just runs back into the dish. The inside of my car stays dry and my dog is happy to not have to jump in and out of the car so many times.

He is a little older and his hips get sore fast so I like to save him from climbing and jumping whenever I can. We have taken a few trips now, and my car has stayed dry through all of them.

So I really put this no-spill bowl to the test! I filled it halfway with water and then put ice cubes in it. I then put it on the floorboard of the passenger seat of my car and drove to the park with my dog (he always gets cold water after good walk).

I drove a little crazier than usual: some hard-ish stops and sharp turns. We made it to the park with no spills. Very impressive. You need a no-splash, no-spill bowl? This is your bowl. Tip: to empty the container in full and dry it out, turn it inside out.

Otherwise, you’ll leave water in it to sit.

I love this water bowl. I love the rounded top because water always sloshes when I use a regular one and so to have a bowl with the rounded top is wonderful! I love how the bottom is made to keep steady and this is wonderful to take on trips in car, splash free and a bottom I feel that has traction.

It’s a flexible rubberized bowl but no worries because it’s made with food grade material so it’s safe. Won’t be using anything else from now on ! Thanks!.

I bought a pair of the smaller sized bowls to attach to my lab-pup’s crate for eating and drinking. We have two older labs who are able to eat together without bothering each other, but by using this brace and bowl, the pup can eat in her crate safely and rest afterwards, not bothering or “investigating” her older siblings’ food bowls.

The bowl is sturdy, frame attaches easily, and the unit withstands the vigorous eating and drinking! I find the bowl size perfect for her 1. 5-cup meal, but larger dogs would probably use the larger bowls.

Even the smaller size, though, bowl is large enough to hold plenty of water without providing her with a “pool” to splash around in. The bowl frame can attach pretty much anywhere you want on the cage-style crate.

Placement of bowl into brace DOES require two firm hands, so installed the brace for easier access inside the door at the one end, but pup enters from the wider side. (Our crate has two doors). Bowl is out of the way but within easy access to the door (and is more easily removed than inserted).

The bowls are easy to clean. The price, solid construction, ease of install and use make this purchase absolutely worthwhile.

A LOT of reviews have complaints, rightfully so, if you’re unhappy. then voice it! (just an FYI Customer Service here with Chewy treats you and your furbabies like family, heck better than some family haha, truth though.

I had an issue with a training collar I ordered for my rottie pup, they were not only prompt, they went above and beyond, and I can’t praise them enough, jussayin!) I won’t let mine eat/drink where that nasty glue lingers either, so completely understand those concerns, too! ×These bowls don’t budge once they’re snapped in (it’s part of what I love). However, yes, cleaning daily can be a challenge.

I scoured the reviews, on the one lady posted a short video with where you slowly turn the dish from the outside (as in, rotate it in slow increments towards the inside of cage) After a few turns it comes loose fairly easy.

I usually just grab a clean dish rag or papertowel to suck some of the water up first (my personal preference, my husband has better luck with it, my carpal tunnel doesn’t like it) ha. And then clean and turn it back it in, snaps in no problem at all.

I just personally fill it once it’s back in securely. Oh my first go round with this dish, was like “am I seriously being defeated by an animal dish? Seriously?!” But I had to mess around with it for a while before I was even going to admit to hubby that I was starting to feel out smarted by a water dish (that’s what I had gotten it for just like many others, after reading reviews).

I’m like I’ve got a Nursing degree and an IT degree, my husband’s a veteran who’s got an Electrical Engineering degree, and his Bachelors in IT. com’mon, a water dish is beating us here?! Well he messed with it a while and we kinda just found what works for us.

Oh trust me, I’ve had my fair share (as in MANY, like the pup could have probably done a better herself the first time around,haha!) But yes, many sloppy, cage scrubbing, cursing mad, messes. -. – It just simply took learning a way that worked for me to do it myself.

And a few quarters in the curse jar, of course. Ha. Trial and error, but to me, the fact they don’t budge, and I’ve had one for quite a while now, even with daily use and other 2 animals who need to check it out just to be rubbing on it, zero issues.

That’s why I actually just ordered another one. I wish I could find some things with staying power like that for around the house, the dumb random things that bust WAY too easily. We have 3 different sized cages, and it worked flawlessly (secured onto with no problems wherever we tried it out at, cage door, small area on either side of door, and the huge kennel has the end & middle gates, again, no problem, but plenty of real estate to work with there) littlest cage, no problem either.

I used to use the ones a long time ago (like 15 plus years ago) for other dogs that reminded me of rabbit water bottles, held on by a wire that clipped on the cage. Where they lick the metal stem, move the ball and slowly drink.

Any time I’ve had those they leaked or the pups I had where cleaver enough to just make an absolute mess out of it. That’s honestly what I started looking at this time around, or the nozzles you hook a H20 bottle onto and mount to the cage.

I can’t speak for anyone else’s pup, but mine is WAY too smart not to take that as an absolute challenge to defeat and destroy it. Ha. Even with her “Super Chewer” box subscription, we’ve had a toy a two that pupzilla made it look like it was some fluffy little cat toy and obliterated it in under an hour.

She gets an hour play time, toy gets checked over, sharp edges ect. then swapped to another, rinse and repeat. It’s just what we’ve gotta do with her. The ONLY thing she can’t turn back into star dust ^,^ is the marrow (or flavor stuffed) shin bones.

She’s only had one so far, her favorite that she’s beat up pretty good, and in the garbage it went. But she doesn’t mind with the new one she just got. I’ll put pb in it for her sometimes once they’re empty.

But anyway, these bowls, yes, it’s a love /hate until you find what works for you with it! Just like with any fur baby, they’re all different in their own way, these bowls, in my honest opinion, ARE definitely worth trying.

The stickers are definitely a pain. Not sure why any company still uses adhesive like this when there are better, more easily removed options. This is what I did. I soaked the bowls in hot soapy water for a while, maybe a half hour.

Then, I peeled off as much of the sticker as I could with my hands. Next, I would have used acetone (nail polish remover) which would have made this job even easier, but had none on hand, so I used denatured alcohol to dissolve 99.

9% of the remaining adhesive. You can also use isopropyl alcohol, but it will require more elbow grease. After I had removed as much of the adhesive as I could, I scrubbed the inside and the outside of the bowls with Bar Keepers Friend cleanser until I could feel no more glue.

Bon Ami would work well here, too. After that I washed them in dishwashing soap. That’s it. I love the bowls. They are very nice quality. It’s a bit hard to get the bowl in and out of the bracket, but practice! Fill water bowl *after* insertion! Enjoy!.

I was a bit disappointed. I thought it?d be more heavy duty. It?s very light weight and thin. It does it?s job. After all it is a water bowl. I just thought the quality would be higher grade.

The bowls are absolutely no tip, even when my puppy tries to play in her water. Easy to clean. The circumference is not small enough to keep my standard poodle puppy’s ears out of the water, though.

These bowls aren’t very heavy or durable, but they do the job. My dog doesn’t try to pick up his bowl or play with it, so we haven’t had any issues with the lack of quality. I recommend them! Easy to clean, wide enough for his snout, and he doesn’t complain!.

I ordered two different size food dishes, 16 oz and 32 oz. They are perfect for our dogs. They are lightweight but they don’t bend and since they have a non-slip band around the bowl bottom they don’t move when our babies are eating.

They are great for me, light to pickup and easy to wash. I also ordered the 64 oz bowl for water. This too is working great. And, I also ordered a 2 1/2 cup water dish with holder for Molly’s crate. This is great, easy to install and stays put with a slide-in grip on the holder.

And moreover, the price is great and they were delivered right to the house!.

I just lost my 13 year old Great Pyrenees to cancer and after reading up on what possibly could have caused it (I don’t vaccinate beyond puppy shots, don’t spray my yard, don’t over medicate with flea/tick,etc), I found several articles about not using plastic food bowls.

This was my third dog in her teens that I’ve lost in recent years, but the first one to cancer, so I’m not sure if it was a fluke or not, but I decided to add these to my dogs’ routine just in case, from the heavy duty plastic crocks I’ve been using for years.

So far, they seem to be working out ok and not having the crevices for food or pills to get stuck in is nice. As a side note, 50% of dogs over age 10 get cancer, so I’d highly recommend doing your homework BEFORE you find yourself in that position, to remove as many toxins and things that increase your dogs’ chances of getting this horrible disease.

The no-spill water bowls are nice and water does not spill out. I bought two of these and unfortunately one was slightly bent. The bracket hooks were bent offset that made it a bit hard to hang on the crate and have it level.

The cost of these bowls was quite high to not have better quality control to prevent any problems. The fact that they fit the vario crate like they do make them still worth the purchase.

I was excited to replace my black plastic ray Allen non spill bowl that my k9 chewed to pieces with this metal one. The metal one gets the job done but it still spills and lid comes off very easy.

This bowl is a very innovative design and I am pleased with my purchase. The bowl prevents splashes and spills, even while my car is in motion. That said, it is still JUST a stainless steel bowl and I feel the price is very excessive and should be adjusted downward.

It may seem insignificant when purchased as an add on with the kennel but it is a large amount of money for a small stainless bowl.
