20 Best No Kink Lightweight Garden Hose (2023 Updated)

I have had many of the so called “retractable” hoses and most leak, break or just are not great. This is a game-changer. I bought 2 of them last year and was just logging on to buy another for my Mother.

I just had to share what a great value this is. It has a shut off at the nozzle end of the hose which makes swapping attachments so easy compared to going to the spigot. It also includes a great nozzle with a ton of settings.

Small thing, but the black and green is the best color as it blends right into my mulch beds unlike all black or bright colored hoses. I hate seeing the hose when not in use LOL. Overall a great item and I’m glad they make it in so many sizes.

Ok, so I’m usually pretty skeptical of the “as seen on tv” stuff. Most of it just seems gimmicky. However, I needed a hose for car washing that didn’t take up much space and was easy to hookup and put away.

The last non-kink hose I bought from a hardware store was a pain. It was bulky and it kinked all the time. When I saw this one I figured, at the very least, it looked small and would hopefully work as described.

Even the ease-of-use aspect would have made me happier than the last hose. I just had a chance to use it a few days ago and DANG this thing is awesome!! Never linked once. It’s feather-lite. Rolls up super easy and, as advertised, expands and expands and expands! The best part was when I turned the water off and pressed the nozzle to let the excess water out, the hose started shrinking back to its unboxed size!! I rolled it up super easy and hung it back on the hook.

This is worth every penny!.

This hose does not leak. It does not kink. Really like that it expands to 100’ and then when through using it shrinks back to a much smaller size that is easy to store inside large flower pot. And it can connect to another hose like it to give me enough hose to water all around the house or wash all sides of the house.

And still lightweight. The nozzle is a nice bonus with the hose. Have 2 of these hoses since like them so much.

I am amazed by this Bionic Steel Hose. It comes with a 5 year warranty. It is truly built for extreme weather conditions. It can’t catch on fire or crack. You should buy one of these hoses. This one that I got is 25ft and is very well made.

I like how it is steel so if you ride over it in a car it still will not crack or leave a hole in it. It will still work also. I like how I can leave it out in the winter since it is ice resistant. The performance of this hose is great.

It is kink free and you can wrap it up easily. It is crush resistant thats why I got this. This is a must have. I will not purchase anymore rubber hoses. This is the only hoses I will purchase for now on.

I ordered another one for my backyard. My wife uses this hose to wash our cars and garden and she loves it.

highly recommend NOT BUYING this. it has not lasted even as long as a typical cheap hose. I use it indoors in a bathroom shower so ithas very moderate use and it developed leaks near the end. the box on mine says “lifetime warranty” yeh right! I think it was a year or more ago that ibought it but for price and real gentle use its a garbage product.

DONT BUY IT. the website is shady about even finding return and there is nothing for “warranty” it is actually illegal to print lifetime warranty on the box when you do not have one.

I have only used this hose a few times since getting it, but I think it has some real pluses. It is very easy to manage. It is light weight, collapses easily and folds after using. It is made of a strong durable type fiber and worked very well.

I especially liked the fittings that attach to the spigot and the nozzle. Both were solid and seemed like high quality. It provided a steady stream and was great for washing the car and watering my front courtyard.

I only have the 25 foot length, and I would like to purchase a longer version. So far, I like this hose a lot for the purposes that I am using it.

Wow, this hose is so unbelievably lightweight! I can carry it easily without struggling, which I wouldn’t have thought was possible with any garden hose. My husband usually used the hose we had before this one because it was so difficult for me to carry or pull around, but I can handle this one myself.

It is also kind of amazing because it doesn’t kink. I don’t exactly understand the technology, but the product packaging says it has a “pliable inner core” that minimizes kinking. It might be that same inner core that makes it safe to drink from this hose, too, since it’s manufactured with FDA-sanctioned materials.

I really appreciate that because my granddaughter and nieces and nephews often play here in the summer, and I want to know that they’re safe if they drink directly from the garden hose. Honestly, though.

I have never used a hose that felt so strong and durable, but was so incredibly easy to handle and maneuver. Even the Resident Gardener, my husband, agrees! Our sprayer fixture fits the end of this hose just fine, and it connects to the spigot almost as seamlessly.

There is a small leak at that end, where it connects to the source, but it is very minor. I just hope it stays that way. This is a nice upgrade from the very standard hose we had before, and it’s very affordable.

Assuming the small leak doesn’t get bigger, I think every home should have one!.

The Aqua Joe 100 foot ultra flex hose is the perfect combination of weight, structure, and features. The first thing I noticed was the weight of the hose. For a 100 foot hose it weighs only about 5-6 pounds compared to my old one that weighted at least 15 pounds.

This combined with the fiber jacket outside instead of the typical simi-rigid hose makes using the 100 foot Aqua Joe hose easy to carry, maneuver and use. In addition, this is the first hose of its length that I have every owner that I don’t have to worry that as I drag it, it will twist and then kink, its virtually kink free.

I have found that the fiber jacket is an advantage when washing by car as its material is non-abrasive and does scratch the car if the hose goes over the hood. The hose fitting are solid metal and very substantial.

Unlike some of the other light weight, scrunchy hoses that shrivel up when there is no water going through them and have limited water flow/pressure, the Aqua Joe, has a considerably more durable outside jacket, has the same flow and pressure as my old semi-rigid hose, can still be used with my hose reel and is much, much easier to handle.

Bottom line, the Aqua Joe hose is the best featured garden hose I have ever owned.

My husband bought this hose and reel about 2 years ago. We had many reels over our life in this house. We got sick and tired of the plastic ones constantly breaking. We found our Eley reel on line I think.

It’s a BIG boy for sure and tough too. We just got the inlet this year. I don’t think we needed it as probably a washer would have fixed the problem we had, but we will keep it as we can use it on another hose we have.

This short length of hose will act as a leader hose for my hose reel. This hose is quality. It will not kink. It has strong brass end connectors. This will be the third leader hose I’ve purchased to replace previous ones that ended up leaking and kinked.

Why buy a cheaper brand that will go bad, needing to be replaced? Purchase a well engineered hose that appears to be top quality and will last a lifetime. Sincerely, Philip.

Hard to believe I find myself writing a review on a garden hose. However, I’ve been through several garden hoses over the years and while I’ve only had this one a month or so, it’s already been through a few paces, so I thought I’d write one now.

The last few hoses I’ve used have been very thick heavy rubber (think Goodyear) because anything else seems to fall apart. The downside is these get especially cumbersome to maneuver due to weight, especially a 100ft hose full of water and they ALWAYS kink.

This hose is amazingly light and maneuverable; frankly it’s unbelievably light. And while it’s still very early, it seems to be of a material that is going to hold up. And I’ve test it, and it won’t kink, at least not that I’ve run across yet.

So overall I’m VERY pleased with this hose. But that said, I have two concerns; one possible, and one definite. The possible concern is that the hardware, the male and female connectors and how long they’ll last.

Nothing specific to this brand, I’ve just found this to be a weakness from hose manufacturers. I just hope my positive review isn’t too hasty in this regard. The definite concern is the color. The only option is the awful lime-green-yellow, whatever it is, color option.

I recently got a call from the Space Station asking me to turn it off…kidding…sort of. Maybe some like the neon color but ideally some more traditional options such as a forest/lawn green (and if visibility while in the lawn is an issue, perhaps a very thin neon striping) would be nice.

Overall, so far, very pleased.

I wear my baby on my back in the baby carrier whilst I water and garden, so I can’t carry the weight of him and a standard hose that weighs a million pounds. So I got this zilla hose and it’s super light.

like crazy light for a 100ft hose. It wraps so easily, the swively nozzles are amazing, the connections are well made and don’t leak. and we’ve put it through some tough yard abuse and it’s held up great so far.

My mom just bought a wannabe version of this hose and it’s so cheap and pathetic. Spend the money. Get the hose. Also. the people complaining about it coming out of the box tangled. :::facepalm::: honestly.

All you gotta do is just take it out by length. It straightens out fine, and perfectly when water is in it. It’s not complicated people.

Hose just arrived. walked it to the back yard. hooked it up to the water faucet. put on a nozzle. turned on the water. then BOOM! The end shot off the hose across the yard. Scared the crud outta me. Guess I got the defective one!!!!.

A garden hose is a simple thing. get water from one place to another without leaking. Now, I hate yardwork, so I don’t need any added aggravation from a garden hose. But over the years I have cursed the stiff, cracked, knotted, kinked, stripped/leaking/bent fittings, & general cheapness (ok that last one is one me) of the hoses I have had.

This one just works, and really that is all you can ask of a garden hose. The fittings are machined, think about that! The stress relief collars rotate, they are thick and let you grip and tighten easily, and the fittings smoothly seal watertight! The hose material is durable, and it stays flexible in cooler weather, you never feel like you are fighting the hose.

The 5/8″ size flows all the water and pressure you need for a garden hose. Pay a little more or this hose, and you won’t be buying another hose next year. Keep this inside in the winter, and it just might be the last garden hose you buy.

I’ve had this hose for nearly a month and it was done really well. Its hooked up to a 2hp irrigation pump and its performance has been on par, ive used a lot of different types of hoses over the years as a home owner, most didnt last a season.

Most have popped from the pressure, cracked in colder temperatures, super stiff and kink easily, harder to remove attachments, and only have a swiveling female end. This hose however, both ends swivel, and have much thicker ends to make it easier on the hands to install and remove attachments.

It doesn’t kink very easy, you have to try pretty hard to make it kink. Colder season is coming so haven’t tested that part yet. I’ve been very pleased with this hose and its performance.

I purchased four of these hoses. Two had the same flaw, a gash four inches long, twenty feet from the end. The first two were from Costco and were fine. The last two were off the internet and had the flaw.

One provider on Amazon charged $20. For the return of the flawed hose. If you get this hose, buy it from Costco and not from a third party provider. You will pay a few dollars more at Costco, but it the hose at from Costco is flawed they will either replace or refund all of your money.

You have a fifty percent chance of returning it. When this hose is not flawed from the factory it is a wonderful hose.

I bought two of these hoses. I was excited as my neighbor has the same hose and it is so lightweight and easy to handle. Unfortunately mine were both defective. They leaked behind the connectors. Not a little but poured out.

See the picture. I think when these hoses are not defective they are great, just have to get one that is NOT defective. Wish I would have because I like the hose. There isn’t a way to put new connections because of the make up of the hose.

I spent a lot ofon this babyI guess you get what you pay for but this is exquisiteI am surprised!It does NOT kink or fold so water flow is constant!The metal pieces on the end must have been made by a scientist/jeweler cuz they actually FIT!! I am really impressed! YES, BUY THIS HOSE!!.

I was marginally happy with it the first few times we used it but thought it was strange that it jet’s out instead of a normal flow. Meaning that it is difficult to adjust to a pressure that won’t skin the leaves off your plants and you’ll have to keep running to the spigot to turn it just a hair is this way or that.

However that little irksome issue soon resolved itself by copiously leaking from a multitude of links along the hose beginning at the spigot connection! So the pressure is no longer an issue. See problem solved.

Leaked significantly at the end that connects to water. To be clear it leaked out of the hose where it is connected to its own handle. There is no way to fix this. It happened on 2nd use and I was not stretching it in any way.

The connectors are just cheaply made. It is very disappointing because I had high hopes for this.

Worked great for about 5 times over the past couple months, but then the inner hose burst and it was unusable. I was super paranoid about it too, I unwound it every time and kept it in my air conditioned house to make sure the inner tube wouldn’t go brittle.

While it worked it was the best hose I had ever owned! Wound up easily, never kinked, and was cool to the touch (even though I stored it when not in use). What a shame that it truly couldn’t hold up to basic water pressure.

“Last hose you’ll ever buy” was an outright lie.

I remember the first generation of these expandable hoses that we bought several years ago, they weren’t very well made, so within a couple of weeks they were already punctured and rendered useless. These newer expandable hoses are built much better from those previous versions.

They seem to be better quality and works great. I love the convenience of them collapsing to a small size. And when expanded they are very long and will reach a long way, even the 25′ ones are impressively long.

I love this product and now have three for around the house for my gardens in my backyard, front yard, and side of the house. They are perfect for everyday gardening uses. My wife and I love these and haven’t encountered any issues with these, yet, but let’s see how they hold up after several months or years of use.

I guess 2 or three hoses, shame on me. burst from water pressure. Water turned on hose valve closed, temporarily till I could point the hose in the right direction, But before that could happen, maybe 20-30 seconds, kaput hose burst.

Another piece of junk. Previous hoses were replace by the seller, that’s good. but this last one, I give up. So beware this hose can take little of no water pressure before bursting.

we love this 100 ft blue hose, My husband used it for 1st time today and loves it, said so happy I didn’t buy the black one elsewhere cause when the water began the fill it wiggled like a snake so the black could have been a bit frightening.

The blue is easy to see and work with, after use he disconnected and returned it to the basement. I bought this during the Labor Days sales for the soul purpose to use for draining our water heater. Horked like a charm. The heavy duty ends are the exact thing needed to attach the the heater spigot.

This is a great hard to find 25ft hose – the hose and connections are good quality.

I bought a 100’ hose roughly 5 years ago and have had zero issues. It’s been stored outside in -40 and lower in Yellowknife, NT. 5 stars on that one still goin strong. I bought a second 100’ hose for my backyard roughly 3-4 months ago in May of this year.

This particular hose lasted 3 months before the end crimp let go in the evening and flooded my backyard until I noticed in the morning. This particular hose hasn’t been through freezing temperatures nor has it been over used.

So for that hose I give a 2. Gave an overall of 4 because they are still sweet hoses, nice and flexible.

Yeah, cool name, and a very light, bendy hose. Save you money. After one year, I’ve never seen a hose kink so badly or so often. For the first month out of the box, it was great. Nice and springy, just flipped itself over like a puppy.

It doesn’t take long before it gets soft and floppy, and just keeps kinking all the time, everywhere. So frustrating. There’s a reason it weighs so little! The rough outer surface means it gets (and stays) absolutely filthy.

I don’t really care about the looks, but these hoses are supposed to have mold issues as well, so it’s hard to say what’s dirt and what’s something worse. And lastly, mine is already leaking. There’s a blister forming on the surface, and water is slowly (for now) seeping out.

The company’s so-called “customer service” is not interested in even replying to warranty claims at all. I had to cut out the leaky section and splice it. I’m sort of hoping it will give out completely so I can buy a quality hose.

Well worth the extra cost. It winds up nicely. It is a soft material so it will kink but as long as you unwind it properly, it won’t kink on it’s own. It feels like good quality material. It is somewhat elastic but I would advise against pulling it with a great deal of force.

The only hose I’ve had that I like better than this is an industrial grade rubber hose that I’ve had for years which was quite expensive.

Glad I read other reviews. It’s not magic but it has some things I like better than traditional rubber hoses. It definitely is lighter so that’s true. It does twist and bend when you coil it, but that’s the nature of twisting and bending things.

What helps is keeping it pressurized when you coil or unroll it, which makes it easier to untwist than the old hose. So that’s fair but be realistic.

Have only had the hose for a week, but so far extremely pleased. Flexibility is awesome and never changes regardless of the cold weather. After all the snow and ice, hose was buried. Pulled out and was as flexible as ever.

After watering the cows at least twice daily, it drains with no problems. I have to thaw out female end in a bucket of water and it hooks up to the faucet easily without leaking. The end freezes due to being kept in the barn.

A lot of money for the hose, but so far worth every penny. Will most likely buy more to replace other hoses.

While it still requires some work to unroll it the first time it doesn’t hold a kink and is so much easier to move around the yard than my old hose. The old hose did not bend easily and I had to carefully maneuver it to avoid damaging my plantings.

That is not an issue with the Flexzilla; it can be turned back on itself in a tight area without knocking into things or kinking. I now have 4 of these hoses and they are worth every penny.

Outstanding; this hose really does remain flexible and easy to handle in freezing weather. I’ve avoided washing our cars in the cold because the heavy-duty garden hoses we bought previously are difficult to coil and put away even in summer after running cold water through them and required laying them out in the sun to heat up and gain some flexibility.

This hose? I run it in 20 degree weather, use air to clear the water out of the hose then coil it up with no problem at all. I wanted to start washing our new cars’ chassis throughout the winter to get the salt off and keep the cars in like-new condition.

It does kink at times when pulling the hose but not nearly as easily or as often as the other hoses we have, and, it is much lighter as well. I cannot speak to durability yet as we have had the hose for only a short time.

I’m giving a 4 star for super fast shiipping!!!! , But for the flexzilla garden hose I’m giving only 1 star because I like the color, I was very happy when I received the hose, but that change when I removed the hose from the box, I started unrolling the hose and suddenly the hose started to kink, so I kept trying my best to make the hose straight, but went I was done getting the kink out, them I pulled some more of the hose to keep unrolling, and the hose started to kink again, so I kept trying and trying again, and kept having the same problem again, so I decided to connect the hose to the faucet, thinking that maybe went to be more easy to unrolled the hose, but it’s was worse, because the water made the hose very heavy, so was more difficult to unrolled, the hose was 100 feet and maybe I only unrolled 50feet or less, I was so tired that I quit,and the next day I returned the hose back to the store.

The details that I read about the hose said that the hose won’t kink,and also said that flexzilla swivel grip garden hoses are engineered with a lightweight flexible hybrid polymer which lays flat,eliminates kinking under pressure.

and because that information I purchase the hose, because I wanted a hose that will not kink, but I made a mistake buying this brand. I will not recommend this product.

I love it! Hose appears short until water fills, then stretches to at least 25′. When water is turned off hose empties very quickly. Hose is strong not flimsy but doesn’t weigh much,

I have been using this hose for about three weeks. So far I think it’s great. It is lightweight and shrinks up so I can store it in a decorative pail on the deck instead of struggling with a big hose caddy.

The sprayer works well for multiple uses. If it lasts I will be a convert to this type of hose.

This hose is sturdier than other lightweight, expanding hoses that I have used. The adjustable nozzle works well. When water is turned off the hose shrinks back to a remarkably small, easily store able size.

For me this was a good purchase.

Why didn’t I get this sooner? This hose is so much easier to move around and resists kinking so well, I can’t believe it took me so long to get one. I can’t say I like the color but as the homeowner, I appreciate its visibility even at night, since delivery folks have to walk up my driveway to get to my front door.

…. and I have massive numbers of pots and planters delineating my property line by my driveway that need the self watering reservoirs filled regularly. A fluorescent green hose becomes a safety measure and a reminder of liability.

So I’m ok with obnoxious hi-vis green. BTW, I’m a fixed income senior with a back disability so having tools that work for my situation is not just a convenience but a necessity. The key takaway here is Flex in the name is no exaggeration.

You can’t lighten the water weight but this hose makes dragging it around your property much easier.

Now, finally I found this high-quality hose that was made in Taiwan. Yes, Taiwan. Not only does the country ships high-tech computer chips, it makes top-quality everyday products. Light-weighted, very flexible, well-made connectors.

There’s no water-leak on the connector when I hook it to the sprinklers or spray nozzles. Working in the yard is a pleasure now – – Even under the Texas Summer Sun.

We have an 8000 sq. ft lawn/backyard and I am always on the lookout for longer hoses that are lightweight so it’s not an additional chore just lugging the whose around.
