I use this product to see who might be on my property at night. Works great and i have had these for about a year now. I just wish there was a mount to attach it to my military helmet. If anybody has any idea please post it.
The Night Owl Optics NexGen II 50mm Monocular lets you see clearly in deep darkness. It brings objects into focus and lets you detect movement. You can identify distant targets, such as deer and other nocturnal game, with ease using this Night Owl Optics night vision monocular.
It uses advanced designed technology for extra magnification without compromising on light amplification. Its built-in infrared illuminator allows you to recognize targets even in complete darkness, such as late evenings with thick cloud cover or no moon.
This Night Owl Optics monocular is easy to grip and carry thanks to its sleek body and soft-touch rubberized finish. There is also an attached strap to further secure your hold. It includes objective and ocular lenses to look through, depending on the scenario and distance, and both are made of high-quality all-glass optics.
Bought this to scope at night on the ranch open field with orchards surrounding. Street lamps will blind that particular area of your view sight in image. IR light is a faint red glow only so it’s actually not bad if you want to be discreet.
Theres a button to turn ON/OFF for IR light. Ir and night vision Range is ok only. 50 ft is good but anything beyond is harder to distinguish. Ambient light helps. It’s not bad for the price but you get what you pay for.
I was hoping for something better but didn’t want to pay too much for my first night vision. Been using 3 nights straight, off and on and battery seems to last. It takes one “123” size battery(sold separately).
Unit is pretty light and can hold in one hand with the hand strap. Comes with bag and lens cover. Focus using both front and rear knobs. Recommend getting longer strap for over the neck. If you’re looking for something more, this is not it.
This is very basic night vision with short range IR. Good for backyard or fun only. HopefullY this helps out some of you guys looking.
Excellent night vision monocular for the price. At first, I was kind of concerned that I might not like the item if I was to buy it. But after I read the reviews, I felt positive about the item and said to myself, I will give it a try.
I had nothing to lose since I could always return it. And I am glad I did. I was able to see clearly in complete darkness in my bedroom. Also, I tried it outside in my backyard in almost complete darkness of about 30 yards and it was amazing.
Very clear! The magnification is “2X”. Easy to use as long as you read the manual carefully. Make sure you don’t remove the cap on the front lens while it’s on in daylight or any light. Only remove in darkness! It came in a box with a case, cleaning cloth and manual.
The battery (cr-123/3v lithium) and strap weren’t included. A Duracell battery is about $5 on eBay. The stock photo appeared larger than the actual item. The item is made in Russia. The year is 2008 on the box.
It comes with a one year warranty. But don’t forget that most credit cards will extend that warranty for an additional year if you were to pay for it in full. In short, I am a satisfied customer, and I hope you will be too!.
Surprisingly well made and it ISN’T made in China! It’s actually made in Russia and no doubt they have used their outdated military night vision technology for sale to the civilian comrades. The construction of this unit would lead you to believe it was made by a big name US company.
It has a rubberized gripping surface and it fits comfortably in your hand. It is equipped with 5X magnification and the optics are amazing for something of this price range. It even has an infrared generator to use in total darkness.
This is not true night vision like a starlight scope or pvs, it is a IR illuminator, so keep in mind, the higher you crank it the more the red beam can give away your position, however if you are mindful of this and keep your ir signature low at closer ranges you can still use this with relative impunity.
And at well under even a quarter of the price of anything truly night vision this fits the bill for me just fine. Now lets get down to nitty gritty of the features, the add says it has 3x zoom however on the item received it only has 2, thats fine for me at least.
Distance is good 300 feet plus as advertised. Does take pictures and video at a pretty decent quality too, like a 2013 era digital camera not too bad honestly. If you use this carefully it can a valuable budget tool in your toolbox for 120 dollars I am not only impressed but happy with my purchase.
Ok here is what I wish I would have got from other reviews. I have bought 6 mono ir optics in the past year in the under $200. 00 range and NOTHING beats this model so far. 1. THE 7 IR BRIGHTNESS LEVELS IS MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR AS FAR AS THE LENS ON THIS UNIT CAN SEE WHICH IS ABOUT 300 -500 YARDS.
2. RECORDING FEATURE ADDED PLUS. 3. COMPOSITE VIDEO OUT ANOTHER BONUS. 4. LOTS OF MENU FEATURES 5. BATTERIES LAST A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME LIKE 4 HOURS CONTINUOUS WITH GOOD BRANDS. 6. EASY TO HOLD AND ACCESS BUTTONS.
7. TRIPOD MOUNT SCREW ON BOTTOM 8. SD CARD AND USB CABLE IF U DO NOT WANT TO REMOVE SD CARD. 9. DIOPTER 10. 3 ZOOM LEVELS AND BACK LIGHT LEVEL ADJUSTMENT. 11. RESOLUTION AS GOOD AS ANY OTHER IN THIS PRICE RANGE BUT BEST AROUND 100 YARDS.
12. WHEN USED WITH A AFTER MARKET FLASHLIGHT ILLUMINATOR (T-67) i CAN SEE OUT TO 1000 YARDS , BUT THE BUILT IN ILUMINATOR IS AWESOMELY BRIGHT OUT TO 200 YARDS. Bottom line is I do not see how anyone could complain when comparing the functionality of this unit to ANY other in this price range.
If their is something better out thier for $140. 00 i will buy it to. TELL ME WHAT MODEL THAT IS BETTER FOR THE PRICE!.
I have purchase over 6 different mono IR night vision units in the past year in hopes of finding something that actually works for what i need and this one fits the bill. Sure people will complain about anything but for the $153.
00 I paid for this unit I cannot complain. 1. 7 adjustment IR levels provides customized condition for viewing situations and the illuminator is very powerful for out to 300+ yards. Using a after market iluminator gets me out to 1000 yards although clarity/resolution suffers.
No video lag like other units that i have purchased. Did i mention the outstanding power of the IR iluminator? 2. lots of features to include video/snapshot recording. sd card/usb file transfer to include compositie video playback (not live view capable) bottom line is a good set batteries last over 4 hours ,tripod threads, and easy grip make this unit then best in class for the price range.
4. Rexing B1 Night Vision Goggles Binoculars with LCD Screen, Infrared (IR) Digital Camera, Dual Photo + Video Recording for Spotting, Hunting, Tracking
My honest review. This item has no night vision. I took it out in the pitch darkness of the forests since I work hunting at night and I can’t see anything unless there is some sort of light source around to illuminate the area you’re looking.
I don’t recommend because you have to use it through the big bright screen instead of what appears to be the eye lens goggle part of it. Too many batteries and it is not practical for hunting or any other tactical use.
I’ve never used a night vision device before so did not really have a level of understanding on what the device could do. WOW! It makes night look like day and I can see easily up to about 400 metres away at least.
It also has a zoom which is nice, though the quality does degrade as you zoom in but thats to be expected. The optical zoom is already set on the binoculars so when you look through it, it’s already partially zoomed in but not too much.
Just about right. A great device to use especially for trespassers which is the reason I bought it. Thanks.
I bought these as a gift for my husband. We live in middle of 32 acres of woods and farmland with lots of deer and other critters. The night vision binoculars work great and we look forward to sitting on our porch on summer nights and seeing what comes out.
I would have giving this product 5 stars as the instructions could be clearer. Good value for the money.
Carson NV-200 MiniAura Digital Night Vision Say goodbye to night vision devices with image intensifier tubes that burnout over time. The Mini Aura is a completely digital night vision monocular that won’t burn out.
The image seen will no longer be green but a crisp black and white view. The intensity can be easily adjusted with a simple push of a button. It boasts a 19-degree angle of view and you can see up to 82 feet in total darkness.
The Mini Aura is compact and lightweight and can even fit in your pocket allowing you to bring it almost anywhere. Use the Mini Aura on camping trips for late night wildlife viewing, at dusk during hunting trips or during any outdoor activity.
It can be used in ambient light or total darkness. The Mini Aura comes with a carry pouch and wristband. Uses 3 AAA batteries (not included).
Pleasantly surprised. Works well. I like the auto power down feature. No complaints so far. Also I have to say Frog’s customer service is excellent as well
This little gem is great! No, its not like my PVS-14, but for carrying everywhere, its great. This is not a toy either. It has relatively good field of view and resolution for its size and cost. The value is great.
My only problem is the focusing rings can move while taking it from its little protective sack. Great NV device for the money.
Digital Night Vision System, Resolution: 30 lp/mm, 2. 6×41 Monocular, 12° Angle of View, Integrated IR Illuminator, 16″ Close Focus Distance, Captures in Black & White, JPEG or TIFF, Save Images to SD Cards up to 32GB, Single Multi-Directional Button, Programmable Gain, Display/Text Colors, Runs on Four User-Supplied AA Batteries.
Night Owl Optics combines a versatile optic with a digital NV system and image-capture capabilities to create their 2. 6×41 iGEN NV20/20 Digital Night Vision Monocular. This device features a 30 lp/mm resolution with the ability to save images to an on-board card slot that accepts SD cards up to 32GB or to an external device via its RCA video-out port.
In low-light conditions the digital intensifier system boosts available light for enhanced images and under extreme darkness its built-in IR illuminator can provide a light source for the intensifier allowing it to pierce the darkest night outdoors or deepest corners inside.
The fully selectable system features a single multi-directional navigation button that gives you access to the intuitive menu-driven programming functions. You have control over the auto-off time interval gain display brightness exposure image and text color with the ability to quickly reset the entire system to factory default settings.
The iGen has a 1/4-20 tripod mount for long observation sessions or when the exposure is turned up and it runs on four user-supplied AA batteries.
It is a nice night vision monocular in general and worth its price. It shows images on a display screen and therefore it is a digital equipment and cannot be compared to military grade phosphor night vision devices.
It is not suitable for astronomy and particularly for astrophotography but it is good for terrestrial observations. Duracell batteries provide with a better performance. Attaching a VGA recorder is possible for capturing images and videos.
This really is comparable to Gen 2 night vision. Once you get used to the controls and focusing the scope, it is quite easy to view things in the dark. I found the white and black color scheme to be the best when it comes to recognizing animals in the dark.
Also, you don’t have to worry about accidentally pointing the scope at a bright light and ruining the device like some regular night vision. Definitely a good deal if you need to see in low light conditions.
One of my friends used it to look up at the sky and could see many more stars and satellites than were visible with the naked eye. You won’t be disappointed with this scope.
For the price and the image quality this unit is pretty darn good. Defeintily better than anything Gen 2 and comprable to some Gen 3’s. You will need the IR in most cases but the ability to adjust the frame rate is an additional bounus.
I’ve not heard back on its operating range from the company so I’m not sure how cold and heat may affect its perfomance. The only thing I see needed is a way to hook a wrist or neck strap to this unit, but since it had a bipod mount this can be remedied with the addition of a camera d-ring for the bipod mount.
Included case can be mounted on a belt or other gear.
Stealth Cam, introduced in the year 2000, quickly became the leader in scouting camera and digital equipment innovation. Taking technology to the next level, Stealth Cam is introducing the next generation of feature-packed night vision gear, the NVM.
This monocular Night Vision Device offers hunters and outdoor enthusiasts a way to track animal and human movement pre-dawn with the ability to see impressive distances. Stealth Cam continues to push the limits of performance in the optic category with the NVM Digital Night Vision Monocular.
To reach the increased viewing distance, along with improved image quality, Stealth Cam gave the NVM a 9X digital zoom with a variety of adjustable frame ratings as well as incorporated their advanced Low light CMOS Sensor.
Stealth Cam has also incorporated an integrated IR Filter for day use. The 3X20mm High quality objective lens works in conjunction with a 1 Watt IR illuminator with its enhanced lens to give the NVM the capabilities of have a nighttime viewing distance of over 400 feet.
The Digital Night Vision Monocular has a 7-degree field of view and a 1. 5″ Hi Resolution TFT display providing ample amount of viewing area. Stealth Cam understands that hunters experience difficult challenges and rough terrain while hunting so they designed the NVM with an ABS High impact housing that protects the internal components from harsh, unexpected encounters.
The rubberized grip provides increased comfort and superior handling. The NVM operates on four AA batteries and includes a convenient carrying case.
This product is made by stealth cam LLC has two ir modes with adjustable frame rates from 30 fps for day viewing 25/15/8 fps for night with up to 3x magification. IR light is visible and appears as a deep purple under normal camera observation (an observer using a camera to see the operation of the night viewer).
Memory can be uploaded via USB -B to USB 2 or 3 cable to a monitor or computer with SD card installed or directly via SD card. Remote capture is also a feature (equipment sold seprately) with this model.
Object focus is acheived via objective and apprature rotation. Not the best NVM I’ve played with but certainly the best for the dollar spent. Mine was purchased at Walmart for $118 at 9% tax and for what it does it is worth it.
here the deal. I marked it as no for good quality because the IR light that is built in really sucks. But, buy a T-20 IR lite and tape it to on the bottom side and it takes it from maybe a 70 yard visibility unit to 700 yard unit and for the price you cant beat it.
you will be a little dizzy after you put it down because it does have a little back light that hits the eye and your eye naturally adjusts for that. but when you put it down – now you have one eye that’s dilated and one not and the brain says what the heck is going on here but just for several seconds.
for that I suggest just close both eyes for several seconds and its all good again. this is a safety warning to you so don’t be standing on the edge of any kind of cliff or drop off and be in any hurry.
just relax & let the eyes get back in synch again. your welcome.
I bought this on a whim yesterday while waiting for 2 older guys arguing over who’s turn it was to buy fishing bait “this time” and holding the line up. Amuzing, I assure you. Anyway, I got this NV Monoc and took it home and after dark I was messing with it and my wife came outside and I showed her (she doesn’t like outdoorsy stuff, lol) she was so awestruck that we had to go back this morning and get her one of her own.
It’ll take a couple minutes to get use to buttons and adjust view, but this thing is amazing. We could see each other clearly (like it was daytime) at 250ft pitch black night. The clarity can be adjusted easily and the zoom is great for day or night use.
This is Gen 1, but still totally worth the price! I only wish it came with lens covers. This is going to deer camp with me for sure!!.

IšverstiShow in original languageI got this on sale just recently and glad I did! Well worth the money. I’m amazed how well camera works in low light. The night vision works so well in no light and clarity is top notch for the money.
Even not on sale camera is well worth it, but on sale BUY IT! Would have bought a second one if I knew how well and easy to use. Rexing, thanks for this and can’t wait to explore the woods in total darkness!.
IšverstiShow in original languageFair price ,the night vision is very good but gave 4 stars for the reason that u cant put ur eye on where the screen is. You have to see it from about 6 inches away or more from ur face and looking at it in pich dark and the screen is too bright that you will be blinded by it.
But the clarity is better that some more expensive ones that i have tried.
IšverstiShow in original languageThis is great night vision camera I have ever bought. It helps me to observe in the very low light condition; in addition the zooming function works really great even in the long distance.
I also like its battery lasting a lot longer than I expected, so I wouldn’t be worried about it runs out battery while I am observing the animals or watching the sports.

IšverstiShow in original languageNeeded some eyes in the dark, this Monocular is great. I recommend playing around with it first and getting comfortable with the interface. Then Practice before you take it out at night in the blind.
The Brightness will blind you when powering on the unit. I was just using this the other night and the IR field is so massive and strong, my hunting buddy said with his NVG’s on this little Monocular brightened up about 250 yards of field and tree line and he could see better thru his.
Only con to this is the battery usage. 2 Settings for the IR high and medium. But it makes sense considering the output on the IR side. I’ve had mine for about a year now, found it at Walmart, never had any issues with it.
Enjoy this if you get the chance and come across one.
IšverstiShow in original languagePurchased this to use in the stand before dawn and after dusk. I always hear crunching leaves around me when it’s dark, but now I can see what’s actually there! Easy to use.
IšverstiShow in original languageopened the package, dropped some fresh AAA batteries straight out the package, followed power on instructions, NOTHING. Wont power on at all. wont even try. not happy

I didn’t buy them here but I’ve been watching these things on the SG for quite a while. I got them at Wa-Mart for $90. 00 because the factory box was dented. I bought a pair of Russian Surplus night vision binocs 10 years ago- they still work.
These are 200% better and these have IR options. Very sharp imagery out to about 125-135 yards. Throw in a memory card and you can record what you see. I knew we had some deer on our mini farm Now I know we have three BIG bucks and two monster does lots of yearlings.
I would recommend these binocs. Haven’t run down the batteries yet. Now I’m watching the guide for a night vision scope from this manufacturer for a ,22mag Henry. I recommend this product. I’m only going to give this four stars because I can;t give it a 4.
5. It should be clearer out to 150 or 200 yards but it is well worth the Guide’s asking price.
We use these strictly for pleasure. This is our first experience with night vision and we are absolutely amazed. The clarity of the night vision is excellent and the binoculars are easily adjusted. We wear eye glasses and these, unlike traditional binoculars, are easy to use with eye glasses on.
The camera function takes some good pictures, too. These binoculars are excellent for bird and wildlife viewing, day and night.
Easy on the eye. The Nightfox 100V is a new type of of digital night vision device thats easier to use, and at a much lower price. Its similar to a normal night vision monocular, but with one large widescreen viewing monitor for both eyes.
You can even use the comfortable eyepiece whilst wearing glasses. Clear as day. Because the Nightfoxs digital sensor is highly sensitive, in ambient light such as at dusk or dawn you dont need to use the built-in infrared illumination to see far.

New house in a rural area, backyard not fenced yet. Great to be able to let the dogs out at night before bedtime and be able to keep an eye on them and other wildlife.

Powerful 640 x 480 VGA sensor resolution and 320 x 240 QVGA micro-display resolution ensure clear and crisp images are captured and displayed, while a 20mm lens diameter ensure high performance in a compact package.
This is not military grade and neither is the price. I like it! After you read the directions and focus it properly and find the right light setting it works really darn good for gen 1 technology. Great product for the price.
This product is perfect for me as I have use of only one eye. I’m having fun with this everytime I go backpacking which is a minimum of once a month and usually twice. It does use up the batteries faster than what I would like.

The night vision aspect of this product is as expected. The infrared light is a joke! Max range is about 75 feet! That’s right-FEET! And only after receiving, do I find out it is non-returnable! I have been a Buyers Club Member for over twenty years and for the most part I have been very satisfied.
When products are purchased sight unseen by mail or over the internet, there should be some recourse if the product is found to be unsatisfactory. SAVE YOUR MONEY!.
Bought the 4x for my wife, who enjoys birding. We live in the northern Great Lakes region (lots of trees) and a great horned owl has been calling territory routinely. Success! We are impressed.
I purchased one of these in the fall intending to use it on the river to extend my time out on the water. I was disappointed right away. I had to go to a different store to purchase an expensive battery to operate the unit.
battery NOT provided! C. T. doesn’t carry batteries for it. The night vision didn’t live up to what it is supposed to do. Optics are really poor, magnification is also lousy at best. The IR light is weak and doesn’t provide much help to see in the dark.
I returned the product and decided to stick with a flashlight for night vision. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone. Hope this helps!.

Love the product. Remember to not take off the cap in the daytime. Battery was dead on arrival and are difficult to find. I recommend that you purchase some extra batteries for this at the same time as your purchase.
Also, remember to not only adjust the focus on the monocular but also your eye piece. Overall great product! Oh and you can definitely see the red light in the night.

Night Owls very from unit to unit. Focus seems to be the main issue and many units cannot focus from close end to stars or always in between. The first thing you should do when you get a pair (after dark) is go outside and see if you can vary the focus and cover from close to stars.
Only 1 out of 2 from factory can do this. If the unit fails you should get it replaced. If the unit passes you are good to go. But with one very important warning. These are not PVS7s and will not withstand ever being dropped.
If you drop them the focus is toast and cannot be repaired. Many of the units online seem to be factory returns and have focus issues. If you get a unit and is clear. take good care of it and do not drop or jar it and be well worth the investment.
They perform about 65% as well as a PVS7 Gen3. If you need a unit that can withstand bumps and jars. Save up your money and get PVS7s built to with stand military abuse handling. If you can treat these with TLC, they are worth the savings for the caution.
Delivered in non working condition. Called Sportsmans guide for a return. Was told had to be returned to the manufacturer. After numerous phone calls and messages to the Manufacturer to get a replacement or refund for a defective unit, still have not heard from anyone.
Clearly they do not stand by their product and just steal your money.
There are many different types of night vision scopes under $1000 on the market, each with their own set of features and benefits. However, there are a few key factors that you should keep in mind when choosing a scope in this price range.
First, consider the type of night vision technology that the scope uses. There are two main types of night vision – active and passive. Active night vision uses an infrared illuminator to provide light, while passive night vision relies on ambient light sources.
Each has its own advantages and disadvantages, so you’ll need to decide which is best for your needs.
Next, consider the magnification power of the scope. Night vision scopes typically have lower magnification than daytime scopes, so you’ll need to decide how much magnification you need. Keep in mind that higher magnification can make it more difficult to hold the scope steady, so you may want to choose a lower magnification if you’re not confident in your ability to keep the scope still.
Finally, think about the features that are important to you. Night vision scopes can come with a variety of features, such as the ability to record video, take pictures, or connect to a computer. Make sure to choose a scope that has the features you need.
With these factors in mind, you should be able to find a night vision scope under $1000 that’s perfect for your needs.
