We have had our Bunch Original bike for about 3 weeks and have used it 3-4 times a week. We have 5 year old twins who ride side by side. We all really love our new bike. It takes about 2-3 rides to get used to the handling but after you build up confidence it is really fun to ride.
I like how high up I am so I can see over the cargo box and it makes us more visible on the road. We have ridden our bike all through town. There are extensive bike paths through town which we use. In places where there is no bike path we have transitioned to riding in bike lanes.
The bike easily fits in the marked bike lane. If a road is quite sloped it takes a little more concentration to keep straight but is still completely doable. The cargo space is really great. I have been shopping with the bike, and easily fit a weeks worth of food in the box.
I am finding that I want to ride the bike rather than take the car, so any trip less than about 5 miles I ride to now. There are 2 slight negatives to the bike. 1. Turning can be awkward, with such a long bike your turning circle is large.
If you need to make a tight turn or reverse I get off the bike and go back and forth to make the turn around. 2. Bumps can be easily felt. Taking bumps slowly helps a lot but they can still be pretty strongly felt for rider and passengers.
I absolutely recommend this bike for any family who is considering a cargo bike. With it being a tricycle, stopping is easy, loading/unloading is more stable, and it is just more manageable. I constantly get comments and looks whenever I am riding around town.
The minor disadvantages only detract a little from all the big positives of this bike. I highly recommend you book a test ride to try it out for yourself!.
This machine has been an incredible car replacement in a bike-friendly small town. We ride our two little kids to and from daycare each day. They love the view and – with cushions and the rain cover – stay warm and dry even in wet and chilly weather.
Some of the natural downsides of the trike are very easy to work around. It doesn’t handle bumps very well: slow down a bit for bumps and buy the cushions for the kids. It’s a little tippy when you turn sharply onto an uphill (like a driveway): slow down for those turns.
On a blustery day, you really feel the wind pulling you around: turn up the assist and keep your speed under 15 mph. We also love how easy it is to customize the box. Very simple to drill holes in the plywood to add features (like a rear-view mirror down by your shins, a rechargeable power supply for heated blankets, etc).
I got this bike to shuttle my 3 and 5 year old kids around our neighborhood. We live in a walkable part of San Diego, but many places are just a smidge too far for my kids to walk. We use it every day for school drop off, plus around to parks, the library, ice cream, etc.
The throttle assist is everything! I test drove another similar e-cargo bike to the bunch (trike with the box in the front) that only had the electric assist when pedaling, no throttle and it was no fun.
We live in a hilly city, but even getting the bike going from a stop on a flat road is tough when fully loaded with kids, especially because you are not supposed to stand up. It’s impossible not to have fun while riding this.
Every day someone comments or looks at us like “wow! that’s so cool!” People on our morning route know us and wave to us–it’s a really fun way to connect with the community! As I’m sure others have mentioned, customer service is above and beyond.
Early days with the brake shoes so far. After one wet ride they worked well but left a heavy deposit on the wheel rims. Time will tell. Great service from Tredz.
Great braking power, no squeal, good quality. You can go cheap on these but it’s never the same performance, worth the extra money over the knock-offs. Work great on my 90’s Trek.

I bought a Bergara Terrain with a muzzle brake. I don’t care for muzzle brakes especially for hunting so I bought this thread protector to replace it. It works fantastic & fits like it was factory installed.
They feature a rim-friendly compound, strong yet won’t destroy your rims. Threaded with various sized spacers and totally adjustable. Also have an angled tip that plows away mud and rain from rims and these pads are curved for compatibility with 26″ or 700c rims.
Salmon compound is especially good for wet weather but work great dry too.
Kool-Stop always has the best stuff. One thing to bear in mind, though, is that they carry a wide variety of brake shoes for a wide variety of applications. You have to be sure that what you’re getting fits your application.
I’ve made the mistake of not being certain a couple of times, so I have some spare Kool-Stops sitting in my parts box that I might never use.
Black compound rim brakes always have metal shavings from the rim in them. These brakes never leave me with shinny flecks in the brake pads. They stop all my bike with no oscillation. They wear out quicker but its is a case of pay a few bucks now or much more later.
I give the neighborhood kids the factory brakes that come with my bike and replace it with these. I prefer front disk and rear rim brakes and is how i order all my bikes.
Had the Cool Stops only a short time on my mtn bike which I use for pretty much any type of riding from rocky, loose dirt, sandy trails and street fitness. The pads made a very good stopping bike into an outstanding stopper! I did not expect such an improvement.
This mtn bike now holds it own with my disc road bike brakes. Make sure you adjust your toe in and clean the rim with solvent to ensure quiet braking.

I purchased these pads to replace the original pads for my Tektro Aries mechanical calipers. The Shimano B05S-RX replacement pads fit perfectly. After bedding in the new pads, they are quieter and provide a bit more modulation compared to the original Tektro A10.

Bought a set of genuine Shimano brake pads for my MTB ahead of a 3 day South Downs ride. These were an easy and perfect fit as in the Shimano original equipment calliper. Performance was restored and the brakes performed flawlessly over 3 days of very challenging terrain.
Halfords price was very competitive and Staff assistance was first class.
Can’t really go wrong with Shimano gear. It’s a bit more expensive than some other makes available but you gets what you pays for I guess. In any case these fit perfectly on my bike and totally rejuvenate the braking compared to the semi-worn pads I had on there.

I was looking for the same pads that were on my bike. I had a hard time, but finally found these. Maybe they cost a little more than in the bike shop, not sure. I’m self isolating so the store wasn’t an option and the shipping was free.
The front brakes still squeak, but I blame my rim, not the pads pads.
can’t recommend them as the ones i bought had no braking power at all. i mean, almost zero. i tried them on front and rear and they were the same. zilch. not contaminated or anything. and the pads they replaced were powerful so probably not a fault with my brakes.
its a bit of a mystery because other reviews are very positive and ive bought other clarks pads (for bb7’s) and they work strongly.
Needed to swap out my brake pads on my commuter bike. It does plenty of miles every week so the pads wear out fairly quickly. Hadn’t tried this brand before and was skeptical about the price. They arrived really fast and the packaging was in perfect condition as we’re the pads.

Replacement for Tektro 280 brake system disc pads. Easy fit of the originals, no split pins supplied but purchased a Halfords mixed split pin pack which had stainless steel pins of the right diameter which were easily cut to the correct length with pillars.

Stopping power on par with the OEM Avid Elixir pads. However, they are sooooo much more quiet! Longevity is definitely not a strong point with these. The OEM pads lasted me a year. These went 6 months.

I have been using Kool-Stop rim pads for years so when my first disc brake bike needed new pads I went with these. Stopping power is strong in any weather. Kool-Stop will continue to be my go to pads for any brake type.
Just got them bedded in and did one day on the slopes, but so far they are awesome! Not sure if my old shimano pads were contaminated or not, but these are far better. I’m useing them with shimano m800 saint brakes and I love them.

Well built item and chrome finish is very nice. Bench bleeding process is difficult as the plastic bridge fitting that is supposed to fit on the wall between the two bowls doesn’t open up wide enough to fit as the wall is very thick.
Extremely tight clearance getting it the master cylinder past the shock tower with the brake booster mounted on my 66 mustang. Unused plugs on outside ports of master cylinder were difficult to seat/stop leaking after bench bleed process.
Overall, appears to be nice equipment and looks much better than stock setup. Have yet to check performance as this this a complete vehicle rebuild, have yet to start up to test the booster/pedal pressure while driving.
I had bought a no-name booster & master cylinder for my 56 Belair off ebay. The studs that hold the master cylinder to the booster pulled out while bleeding the brakes! This unit from Summit fit perfect, functions as expected, and I know have excellent brakes on the 56.

I had this booster and master installed after I had new Wilwoods disc brakes put on front and rear of my 71′ Chevelle. It was orginally a disc/drum set up with a prop valve but with a new disc/disc set up, it was night and day on stopping power.
The install went smoothly and the Wilwood’s stop much more smoothly.

Vorne fahre ich an meinem AM eine 203 ohne Probleme und hinten inzwischen eine “alte” 180 UL, die nicht vom Rückruf betroffen ist. In meinem Enduro würde ich die HD nehmen, wenn ich neue Scheiben bräuchte, aber an meinem AM bin ich von den UL überzeugt.

Mittlerweile bin ich auch vorne auf eine Trickstuff-UL Scheibe gewechselt und kann das als günstigeres Upgrade im Vergleich zu einem kompletten Neukauf wirklich empfehlen.
