20 Best Multi Effects Pedal Under 100 (2023 Updated)

An all in one solution. If you dont have the room or budget for 20 pedals, this will do it all. More effects than you can really use and if thats not enough, loads of user presets. Easily always accessible tuner.

Wonderful 3 minute looper with infinite overlaying. Drum/percussion accompaniment all of which can be combined on the loop. Compact, robust and quality. Probably could even be gigged but not really its purpose.

Threw all of my other pedals out and just use this and a Blackstar BEAM now. Means its easy to plug in and set up so you will actually spend some time playing instead of spending 20 mins setting up, only to have to pack it all up again afterwards.

Battery or mains so mobile for jamming round your buddys house. Just the job.

This pedal is easy to use, sounds great and really helped me improve my guitar skills. When you have so many sound options, it makes you want to play more. Excellent choice for beginners, or whatever level you may be.

It opens up so much options, you just gotta hear them all, and find new ways to play. Don’t just buy one effects pedal, spend the money and open your possibilities.

This pedal is a really good value and well made item. My only problem with it is that it’s a really complicated unit to use. There are lots of presets which is good but when it comes to changing the parameters there are lots of options in the menus and it’s a fair old process to plough through them.

The display is great but the manual is not simple to follow. You will have better results using the You Tube tutorial which itself is long winded. In short a really good quality unit which for such a compact item I was hoping would be simple to use.

It ain’t. But if you like spending time tailoring your sounds it could be for you.

Five stars for the Zoom G3xn. I was looking for a portable unit that could deliver a powerful punch. I was skeptical at first. I do own the Zoom 9002 which is non-functioning. If you want to re-create the sounds of Def Leppard’s Hysteria, this unit will do it.

If you want to re-create the sounds of Van Halen’s Panama or Guns N’ Roses Welcome to the jungle, this unit has a bottom end to deliver it. I have played other high-end Multi effects processors. It definitely competes with those highlights end units.

Chris Arnold and his team did a fantastic job doing a firm update for the unit. It is worth the added fee for the firm update. If you are looking for a portable unit that delivers a powerful punch, then this is definitely a good choice.

Killer sounds and dynamics, and not just because its a value price. If I had mine stolen I’d have to buy another one. Sounds great going into the front end of my 100 watt Katana and its effects mix well sonically with the Boss’.

I also play through a Blackstar htr5 tube and it’s overdrive models sound awesome going into the tubes. The amp models are distinct and responsive, as are the cabinet models. Compression is very musical and the Univibe sounds alive.

Wah is very good for a unit. Lots of reverbs and modulations to tweak for years. Insane value – the snobs are missing out on a great unit. The interface is a little involved but definitely pays off if you are a tweaker.

A great choice as an addition to your pedal board, or as an all in one for players who don’t need a ton of switches.

I am relatively new to electric guitars and decided to delve into the world of pedals. I didn’t really know where to begin and there are lots of different opinions on Youtube. I decided to buy this multi-effects pedal, rather than buying individual pedals, after watching a review on Andertons TV.

I was unsure about it at first but after playing with for a few weeks I love it. Its got 75 preset effects to start you off but the fun really starts when you begin to learn what the different effects actually do and build your own patches.

I don’t know how it compares to actual pedals but it definately makes great sounds. From a value for money point of view it cost the same as four or five actual pedals but has more than that built in.

I gave it a four out of five because I have no frame of reference (never having used actual pedal before), otherwise I would have given it a five out of five.

I just got it, I’m learning the bass, chose this for my first pedal so far the good stuff they say is on point. That being said I was disappointed with the battery set up. It takes a screwdriver, there is 4 screws the batteries are mounted under the bottom plate with small short thin wires going to the main unit so it takes a few minutes to recommend getting a power cable.

Just get one!! I’ve watched pedals that don’t come close to this mfx go from less than 100 bucks to 300+ bucks on the bezo bus. All my other pedals except for a Ammoon Pock Loop (easy to operate looper unlike the Nux cool loop) are in a box on a shelf.

Save lots of money and the grief of deciphering unintelligible manuals. Do it!!.

I love it. The expression pedal works great and is responsive and there’s a lot you can do with it. There are plenty of preset effects to play around with. I feel like it has improved my playing for sure.

I needed something for my living room and practicing while watching TV late at night without a full pedal board or multi-effects box. This along with a Boss RC-3 and a mini mixer for my wireless headphones provides everything I have in my studio at a mini level.

The sounds are good enough. There are enough options in sound to play most anything. Eventually I’ll try this little beast as a sub for my full pedal board and see how it works in a live jam. One pedal to do everything.

It’s not perfect but it is great. I wish Zoom would provide updates to it and a better manager. It’s pretty old by today’s standards and if Zoom provided updated files they would sell even more if these great little boxes.

This is a very capable multi-effects pedal. Although all the effects are digital, most of them work surprisingly well, particularly the modulation effects. Things like chorus, reverb, delay, and EQ are very effective.

Can you get better sounds from more specific, standalone analog pedals? Sure, but the fact that you get so many options in such a small, sturdy package is hard to beat. I’d recommend this for beginner to intermediate guitarists looking to try out a ton of effects before investing in some of the more expensive effects out there.

Honestly would work in more professional boards for players who just want to keep clutter down while still having access to a lot of options. I also like how it has the option for stereo output, so you can take full advantage of the stereo effects, or even hook up a headphone amp and use this is a little amp modeler! Yes, it has a handful of emulated amps to choose from.

They aren’t necessarily amazing, but they sound better than I expected. I will say the some of the distortions/overdrives on this sound a little “plastic” to my hears (you can squeeze a bit more out of them with the EQ, but definitely not a real tube screamer or heavy drive pedal).

They aren’t as bad as some people say though, that’s for sure.

I like to keep my board as analogue as I can and have flipped many digital pedals simply because of their synthetic sound. I was actually looking for a reverb, so pretty much in algorithm country in any case so thought I would give this a try and anything else usable would be a bonus.

This unit now sits at the end of my chain where it can lofi reverb away happily BUT it can also serve occasional duties as a trem, shimmer verb, tape echo, slap back or even a distressed Marshall stack! I’m not a fan of modulation but there seem to be infinite amounts of phase and flange in there if that’s your thing.

Added bonus is that the pedal works whilst plugged in to the usb so you can rapidly try a few things out without the need for a prayer mat.

Elsewhere on the net folks are singing their praises for the GE100. It is truly a versatile device with some features which leave its higher priced competitors in the dust. IF you get a good one! I wasn’t so lucky.

About 45 days after receiving it. and after painstakingly programming the first 25 songs of my act. presets 11-25 just. died. No sound from them whatsoever and no way to erase the existing slots, even though they still showed my initial settings for each song.

NO customer service. NO warranty information and, beyond Walmart’s own 30-day return policy, apparently there isn’t one. I had to search the net for the company’s so called customer support e-mail. As of about two months after writing them I have yet to receive a reply and I doubt I ever will.

Unless you’re on a tight budget and willing to take the risk. apparently its a low one. You’ll need a power supply or a USB 2. 0 Micro-B cable to power it which doesn’t come with the basic package. Still, having previous experience with earlier models, I can attest these things last and can take some punishment.

MOOER is a company I will avoid at all costs in the future.

This is a second time purchase, I had to sell the first one years ago, so I knew what I was getting. It’s a good FX pedal, but not great. Good value pedal certainly, many fx in one unit. You can dial in some great sounds.

I don’t do any gigs, so it suits me. So why only 4 stars ? The battery life isn’t good, you’d need to have this unit plugged in to a DC power supply (FX pedal board) to be sure of no let down. The various modulations selector isn’t a click stop, such is the nature of these pedals.

It’s robust enough for private use, but the housing is plastic (very strong) not sure it would cope without being on a pedal board. The battery (standard 9v) isn’t easy to install (if in a hurry) pressing the pedal side lugs without scratching the case is the thing, not an issue if you aren’t in a rush, but use a ball point pen to do this.

The weight of the pedal is very good, it stays put and feels nice. It selects well with no clunk, the led is sufficient for on/off (in or bypass) and battery level (that is a challenge lol) It’s stereo, this really would sound good in use.

Input one is also power on/off (not sure you’d want to keep unplugging, I forget to, battery wasted lol) The pedal isn’t too bad at all noise wise, although I’m not sure how good it would perform at high volume levels.

All in all not too bad, especially price wise (I had worse) and the FX obtainable are good. In a studio and recording then this unit hits the mark, live gigs. not sure. If you want value then you will get that for sure, just don’t forget to buy the plug in power unit, save buying batteries.

I need(ed) a tremolo and a chorus for only two specific songs during a number of gigs in a theatreshow and I didn’t want to bring one of my large pedalboards and bigger amps etc. Traveling light is/was the motto, with just a small 15 W.

tubeamp, one guitar and therefore I bought this pedal. Well, it does the job and that’s it. The tremolo is actually fine, easy to tweak, but finding the sweet spot on the chorus took a little longer and it’s ok now, but like the phaser and flanger, it’s only “fair”.

So is the delay, though it always gives two delays in the “A-output” when using it mono and you better use output “B” then. Still very strange. The pitchshifter is rather unusable (very “wobbly”) in my opinion, but I will never use it anyway.

Still, for little money I have one pedal that I can take with me in my guitarcase, along with a powersupply. So I’m ok with it. If you want to find out if you if some of these effects would suit you, then this pedal is a cheap way option and you can always buy better stand alone effects later.

So, good value for the money and when this tour is done I’ll put it back in it’s box and store it until I might need it again. But it’s not a pedal I would use on one of my “serious” boards, even thouugh I do use some affordable, yet great sounding pedals there as well!.

You absolutely can’t beat the value here for a stereo multi pedal for guitar. The Behringer FX600 does wonderful things for $35-$50. It has a very useable delay that swaps left and right signals for a pong or two before settling to both channels.

The tremolo does not pan but does have a good “shape?” control (par2) that lets you dial in a good range of tremolos. The chorus is growing on me, though I’m not a fan of chorus typically. If you use an ABY with a phase switch you owe it to yourself to waste the money on this.

The phaser seems to run a completely dry signal on channel B. The delay will make one amp “follow” the other at an interval set by the time setting. The flanger seems to alternate panning high and low between left and right, and will pan between amps with one amp selected.

The signals cross over from A to B and back in a lot of settings but are separate and truly stereo. It has some very fun and unique functions if you get creative. No you can’t program it, but it’s so cheap! There are no volume drops or pops when you turn it on.

The level coming in is the level coming out. I run 8 pedals on my board and no noise gate. This pedal adds zero noise. I use an isolated ABY and fully isolated power supply. Sound quality is fantastic honestly.

The only down side I see isno expression pedal out, but seriously for $35 how can I even say that? It’s amazing that Behringer doesn’t charge $150 for it. Buy one before they do, if only to use in the bedroom with a couple 9v amps, worth it.

As others have said, it is small, but great things can come in small packages, and that is the case with this. Each effect does what it says on the time. Usable distortions too for my setup, and that is not always the case with multi effects.

The lights do seem bright so I put coloured dots on them to dim and that seems to work well. The tuner is a bonus. Still think I will use main tuner at start, but for a quick mid play tune they work.

I like that the pedal is easy to use, covers the main effect types. As others have said, delay can tweak to almost reverb, chorus could be used as a volume jump only if you want. What’s not to like!.

Using it via an acoustic pickup on my mandolin. Takes the instrument to another level.

Overall: As a player of acoustic, electric, and pedal steel guitars, I’ve been on search for a multi effects unit that would fit under my pedal steel guitar between the 3 pedals and the volume pedal.

Up until this point I’ve used a pedalboard that had to be off to one side and a hassle to adjust on the fly. I had been thinking of going to a smaller board, but had to give up a couple of effects to get there.

I came across this unit on a Youtube demo video, and did my research through many other resource videos online. As a stand alone pedal effects in/out to my amp this thing is well organized and more adjustable than my pedalboard.

The quality of the effects seem to mesh very nicely, unlike putting effects from a different maker in a chain, where they sometimes don’t play nice with each other. The unit is built like a tank, but the control panel does have mini-toggles and dials that probably shouldn’t be stomped on.

If you’re looking for a multi-effects pedal that you can use like a set of individual pedals, this is the one for you. I sold my Boss ME-80 to get this and I am thrilled with my decision. The sound is SIGNIFICANTLY better.

At its price point, this is the best sounding multi-effects pedal I’ve heard. The overdrive is good, the distortion is excellent, and the delay & reverb are very good as well. The mods are mostly great; the univibe is a little muddy, which is my only complaint but that’s not a deal breaker at all.

I love that you can reach down and turn a knob to adjust your sound. I like pedals but I also wanted simplicity and this was exactly what I needed. Can’t say enough about it.

I’m 63, I’ve made a all or part of my living playing for most of that, and I’m sick of wires and patch cords and velcro, and I’m not a programmer. This is what I’ve always wanted, and very high quality.

Well made, well thought out. Reverb is excellent and controllable separately. Cool patching options. Unit is heavy duty and very quiet. Going to watch NUX and see what else they come up with in the future.

Sounds fantastic. Pretty much every pedal you would want, compact, easy to use, and very affordable. If you’re a touring musician, this probably wouldn’t take the place of all those specific pedals you love, but for everyone else, this totally covers all the bases.

This and a volume pedal is all I need. I’m selling my other pedals, which kind of says it all. Since it doesn’t come with a power adapter, I recommend the iSpot 9v adapter by Virtual Sound. It is a high quallity unit that works great, and should last you years.

Also, the cord is long enough that won’t have to deal with an extension cord getting in the way. With the iSpot you can also purchase their “Multi-plug 5” cable that allows you to connect multiple boxes, but in my case, since my volume pedal is not powered, I don’t need it.

While I’m doing this review, let me also give a shout out to the Joyo JW-03 wireless guitar system, which sounds great for any practice situation, and totally cuts out the hassle of having to deal with a cable.

I wouldn’t use it live, just cause why not get the best sound out of your amp that you can, but for practicing, I absolutely love it. And I think it was only about $40. Lastly, a good tube amp does make all the difference.

This effects unit sounds GREAT with my Fender Blues Jr. Since the Mooer has stereo outputs, your rig could be two smaller tube amps and the Mooer, giving you a really nice three dimensional sound.

It’s a quality pedal. Clean sounds are very good. Too many so so distorted sounds. Capable of lots of tweeking. Nice clear screen. Good easy looper. Software/firmware updates poorly explained. Live use hampered by not being able to jump to different patches easily.

A few tweeks from manufacturer could make this a great box. As it is it’s good value pedal but not a geat pedal. Do your homework.

I own a lot of different multi-effects pedals, from the humble Zoom G1on up through the bleeding-edge Kemper Stage Profiler. The Boss ME-80 is a “middle-end” offering that has some compelling features – and some non-trivial drawbacks – to offer.

First the good: the pedal itself is sturdily built, with whole bunch of high-quality footswtiches, plus an assortment of dials and buttons for you to physically tweak parameters on the variety of effects on offer.

However, there’s a free, downloadable editor/librarian that makes it easy to do that stuff without having to bend over, plus it gives you access to a wide variety of community-generated patches and tweaks online that you can download directly into any of the user-modifiable slots in the ME-80’s non-volatile memory.

When in “manual” mode, you have SEVEN footswitches available to toggle effects on and off, plus an expression pedal. Egg in your beer? No – but this pedal can be powered by any 9-volt adapter or by 6 AA batteries, whiich makes it perfect for sidewalk buskers or jams in the park (assuming you also have a battery-powered amp, of course).

The bad news is that all of the effects and most of the “pre-amps” (what Boss calls their amp models) are based on Boss or Roland gear, so, if you’re going to buy this pedal, you’d better be a Boss devotee.

Also, the tape echo model has a maximum 500-millisecond delay, which I don’t like at all. Nor is that effect anywhere near as failthful to the tonal characteristics of the Maestro Echoplex II I loved so well in the 19980’s and 90’s as is even the Digitech RP-1000 – or the Zoom G1onX, for that matter.

Nor are most of the ME-80’s effects of modern studio quality (although they’re probably fine for most bar or small club gigs). And, although Boss includes a set of batteries with the pedal, you’ll have to buy a 9-volt AC power supply separately.

I bought it to give myself more flexibility for switching effects on and off than my Zoom G1Xon (which can also be battery-powered) gives me in jamming or performing al fresco, where there’re no AC outlets available.

It’s very nice for that. Oh, and while it’s been hard to find a new ME-80 at less than the $299 “street price,” with the holidays coming up, look for significant discounts from all the big online retailers as Black Friday sales start kicking in.

This multi effects pedal does everything I could ask and more. It’s like having a huge collection of boss pedals to turn on and off and adjust with real dials on command. It’s so simple to use, and once you find sounds you like you can save them and program them into memory mode and just press the pedals to switch to your presets.

The metal construction makes this feel very high quality. Even if you don’t get frustrated programming modern petals (like I do), it’s so nice to be able to tweak your sound on command. Before you buy this, I’d recommend watching one of the many in-depth videos on YouTube that demo this to see what you’re getting.

It’s not your average pedal. I watched one that was like 20 minutes long and learned how to do everything it can do. It sounds great through my amps, but it sounds amazing with my audio technica headphones which I do quite often so I can play at all hours.

For my needs, it’s perfect and I can’t say enough good things about it!.

This was purchased to avoid spending a lot on stomp boxes & pedals until I figure out what I want or need. My decision was based on several videos that I had seen about this processor. I am currently using this with an Epiphone Les Paul PlusTop Pro with Seymore Duncan APH-1 pickups installed & a VOX VT40X amp.

I have been using this a lot the last couple of weeks & still haven’t tried everything available on it. It is very sturdy & I’m not afraid to stomp on it. There are a lot of presets, but most I will never use.

I have been using this to setup effects and chains for my own stuff & songs that I am learning. Using the MS800 amp and a wah pedal it almost nails the tone in Sweet Child O’ Mine with my amp. Almost.

Setting up chains & effects I have found to be very simple & it’s easy to move things around to find the sound that you are looking for & it’s easy to experiment with different settings. Can be connected to your PC & things can be edited there if you do not want to do it on the processor itself.

The looper pedal function is nice for playing things with multiple parts or just making a rhythm to jam to. It’s easy to use when you add it to a chain. Wish it had a little bit more recording time due to certain songs, but you can record & overdub multiple things with it.

There are a lot of videos out there of this processor that go into details that I am not covering & I would suggest watching a few to get an idea of everything this processor has to offer. It isn’t a replacement for real stomp boxes or pedals, but it does what it was meant to do very well & can help save you a lot of money in pedals or boxes that you may buy & then not like & never use.

This processor is not compatible with Zoom’s edit and share. If you are looking at this to be able to download & use patches that others have made for songs they will not work. Do your research on which products you can do this with.

Cheap, well made and sounds awesome. I had the Helix Stomp previously and comparing the two, the Helix does have more effects overall, but the general quality of the amps, cabs, compressors, reverbs, is about equal.

Basically you get pretty much the same quality, whilst having less effects, for HALF the price. Also, the helix only has 4 buttons so it’s a nightmare to activate/deactivate or move blocks, compared to the GE200 14+ buttons plus the expression pedal.

I wish I knew about Mooer before getting the Helix. If you are on a tight budget and want to get a good quality amp simulator, I recommend the GE200.

This thing is great in so many ways. I was going to go pedal board I really was and seeing that I don’t plan on gigging or even moving my set up anywhere but my corner of the basement, this beast seemed a great fit.

I’m running this Mooer through my Twin Twelve mini stack Bugera T50 and it complements this amp immensely. I don’t use any of the amp or cab options in the pedal on my amp, only when it’s plugged into my computer.

Controls are simple to understand, very solidly built, expression pedal as a nice sensitivity. Amazing features and great price!!! Very happy with this little guy!!!.

As simply a hobbiest/man cave player, this multi-effect modeler really delivers. Through headphones, or into a computer, this unit does everything you could ever want at a really low price- and with the pricier ge300 now out, I image that this baby will be available even cheaper in the near future.

I have run it through a cab, and it works great (I picked up a used mooer baby bomb which functions as a great power amp), but it won’t fool you into thinking you have a legit fender bassman or marshall plexi (nb- I have not yet tweaked everything, so more tones may be forth coming on my end), and at higher volumes it sounds digital.

That having been said, I will freely admit that I do not have enough of a discerning ear to notice some of the finer points, and used in a live setting I think you would be hard pressed to notice. It is a bit limiting on the ability to switch rapidly between settings/patches, but there are enough youtubers out there with tips and insights that you could make it work, especially in a bad that sticks to a particular type of music that doesn’t require a great deal of switching.

I have owned Line 6 modeling products (the Spyder modeler and the helix stomp) and I find the mooer effects to be more spot on (particularly the chorus) that helix. Also, you can’tbeat a built in expression pedal- but I do find the need to set the parameters of the expression a bit tedious and byzantine, but that is just me.

I wanted small multi fx unit, with only 3 patches per bank, with midi out, and expression pedal built in. GE250 occupied a niche in the market here – and if you want those things too, you can’t go wrong.

I already received compliments on the sound at a gig running through my Marshall jvm215c.

This product is fantastic and a good value for the price and the sound is very good….

Enjoying getting to know this pedal

As a gigging musician, I have been looking to downsize the amount of equipment I regularly haul to practices and gigs. The traditional amp+pedalboard+3 guitars have taken an adverse toll on me both physically and mentally.

As a tube-tone purist, I’ve held onto to my old school rig and purchased a Headrush pedalboard which made a huge difference in lightening the load. Then I spotted the Cerberus here on AMS and thought it would be great to just lug this thing to practices and save the Headrush for gigs.

Turns out that the Cerberus sounded and functions great and now I find I’m favoring it over the Headrush. It sounds awesome and I can store an entire set list of presets just as I did with the Headrush.

So now I have options – old school amp, Headrush, or Cerberus. For now, I am finding the Cerberus a perfect fit for my foray towards minimalism. It is also a great interface for me DAW. Highly recommended!.

This is my first multi fx unit, and it will be my only for a long time. I was skeptical on the price point at first but I needed something that was MIDI capable. This pedal not only has MIDI, but an effects loop, and direct PA input.

Not only does it have a tuner built in as well but the pedals built in effects are limitless and sound freakin great in my opinion. If you’re thinking about going for it, just do it.

Das Gx 100 lässt sich mit der 4 kabel Methode an den Katana anschließen und in den Einstellungen anwählen was ich sehr gut finde ! Viele patches sind vorgegeben lassen sich aber nach belieben ganz easy ändern, da ich auch in nem bunker mucke mache und öfters den Sound anpassen muss oder will brauchte ich was mit dem ich flexibel Einstellungen treffen kann, der katana kann das nur am PC , der gx sogar mit Bluetooth und dem dazu gehörigen Bluetooth Teil das es separat zu kaufen gibt.

Ansonsten , Touch und Bedienfeld find ich geil kann ich nicht meckern. Ich würde es weiter empfehlen ,definitiv So ich spiel ma weiter ???????? Letz Rock.

Easy learning curve and immense range of sounds. Can’t wait until first live gig to try this out

a great size factor. sounds pretty good-once i started turning OFF all the distortions. i just play clean-acoustics and hollow body guitars. like the reverbs and most of the delays. can put delay MIX on the exp pedal, that can be real fun.
