Often times the device will not respond to controls even thought a ‘click’ is heard indicationg it the device affirmed the control was touched. The video player claimed a mp4 file wasn’t an mp4 file even though the file correctly played on another device.

We’ve tried several of the small mp 3 players and sent them all back. This one has a larger touch screen that makes all of the modes easily accessible. Very impressed with the sound quality. It’s a keeper.

I’ve had it about two weeks. Needed a replacement for my first Bluetooth MP3 player that had too many irritations. I have two wired Sansa players that I bought years ago and that worked very well, so I wanted to try this one, they just didn’t have Bluetooth.

It paired easily and quickly with the Bose QC bud system, which is the only device I’ve tried it with. It has to be set to “international” to get immersive levels of volume through the Bose, and the highest volume is usually plenty and too high on many recordings.

The user interface inputs use buttons only, which I prefer because the touch screen MP3 device it replaced is virtually unusable in bright sun, plus there aren’t any inadvertent song change or volume change inputs with these physical buttons.

This SanDisk display is bright enough to be usable in the sun – similar to the other Sansas I have. The sound quality is very good – I use FLAC files and high-sample-rate MP3 files. I wished it had the ability to plug in the mini SD cards I already have, and that the connector was USB C instead of mini USB, but these are things I can work around – if it had those I’d probably rate it a 5.

Would recommend the 32GB size storage. Glad I found this device and would buy it again.

Had an old Sansa clip 4GB which unfortunately got left at my desk at work when COVID hit. Thought I’d be back in to retrieve it but didn’t happen. Found a cheap thing on eBay and thought it would suffice but not enough options.

Tried to find another Sansa clip but seems not available now and this model kept popping up. Not positive but think it replaced it. I like the 32GB size, plenty of room for my music. It also has the shuffle option which I prefer and the cheap other one didn’t have.

Battery life has been great and it’s easy to just copy and paste the mp3 files from my PC to it. I’ve always preferred using this type of thing for listening while out walking compared to using my phone.

It just works for me.

My wife and I love these MP3 players. We’ve each owned 2 over the years, with varied memory capacities. This unit, with 32gb, will never be completely full, but it won’t be for lack of trying. I really like the Bluetooth capability in this generation of player.

The only thing that could be improved would be to add an internal antenna for the radio function. It currently uses the wire from the ear plugs as the antenna, so listening to radio with Bluetooth ear bugs isn’t an option.

Long lived and durable. Love this player! Highly recommended.

This is my 3rd. They seem to last really well for about 5 years. Fit nicely and only need slight adjustments during a run. Very accessible controls that respond instantly. Easy to wash. Charges quickly but the charger wire connection becomes a little loose after a few years which causes a few problems eventually.

Sound is of great quality. All controls make it easy to find the music you want and change it whilst running. The uploading to their new platform isn’t as good as it used to be and needs to be more intuitive.

I’ve used one for 15 years so it must be worth it. I’ve not found anything else to replace it with so if you want to listen to music on your run it’s ideal. I’d give it 5/5 but the pc platform to manage the music uploads etc only 2/5.

These were a birthday gift and not something I was looking for or something I needed as I already had two mp3 players. When I saw they were only 4gb and had what I would call the gimmicky usp of being swim friendly my heart sank (no pun intended).

Would I actually use them, ever? Mmm. Anyway, I made the effort to charge them up and load them with songs (extremely easy, even with the software, although I didn’t realise you can actually just drag and drop).

Since then I’ve used them in the gym, at work and whilst out walking and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the sound quality. Fit: pretty standard, not too obtrusive on the ear although I do seem to be between bud sizes.

Sound: good (very good if you actually consider the package as a whole); Ease of use : good once you become acquainted with button positions. Swim option: untested but limited in practical use I would suggest.

I swim a lot but I can’t see these ever getting wet, limited depth and perhaps a faff to dry. Overall rating 4+ when you review them for what they are and what they cost. The instructions aren’t great but there isn’t much to learn.

The buttons are quite logical but I’m not really sure how best to set up my folders /albums/playlist for maximum ease of use. At present I am mainly using shuffle mode because the thought of trying to find an album without a display is perplexing and I haven’t looked at playlist yet.

Overall a good present for someone who isn’t phone-centric and I think I’ll definitely get my use out of them.

This headphone is specifically meant for swimming, so it doesn’t have any wifi / bluetooth connections. The onboard 4GB MP3 player works well. The quality of music while swimming is excellent, and this comes with special silicone tips for swimming with an extra membrane to prevent water ingress.

So even if the earpiece comes loose while you’re swimming, you can pop it back in and the sound quality is still good. This is unlike other such earphones where the sounds gets blocked if water goes in.

The controls are really easy to use and you can easily skip tracks or adjust the volume while you’re mid-stroke. Again a huge plus point compared to devices like the JBL dive – where you can’t make any adjustments once you start swimming.

Read a ton of reviews and these D08’s ranked really high and were surprisingly much more expensive on Amazon’s site,don’t assume Amazon prices are the lowest. I am comparing them to my last 7 year old Sony Walkman EZ 4g,but the battery is now shot and is not designed replaced by the consumer.

I didn’t want to spend another $70 to $80 on a Sony 8g player at this time. Just needed something for running/cycling/walking/yard work and to plug into my stereo if I want. MY biggest gripe with my Sony was that any pair of earphones that they didn’t come with did not fit the jack well enough to stop crackling and cutting in n’ out when running or anything else,I had to rig its earphone jack with tape and a rubber band when running/walking/yardwork, a major nuisance.

Not a problem with the D08,earphones fit snuggly with every pair I’ve tried,no crackle or cutting out. Kudos Ruizu. The unit is heavy for an MP3, but has a good solid well built feel, and a nice look too.

The screen is large and easier to read than my Sony and I can flip it from horizontal to vertical. The battery life is MUCH shorter than most other players,about 7+ hours with earphones or 5+ with the speaker,but it charges really fast, and I seldom have needed more than a few successive hours of playtime anyway.

It hasn’t any playlist or bookmark capabilities, you must use folders on your computer to make playlists and it will not properly load music from my Windows Media Player, only some songs will load, others will not, and can not figure for the life of me why, a common complaint with this unit, but I think it is more of an issue with Microsoft.

The D08 will automatically alphabetize your music,so if you want songs to play in a certain order you must rename the files starting with letters A-Z or enumerate them from 01. I liked the idea of a speaker, I decided on over bluetooth, too many horror stories about B/T on lower priced MP3’s out there.

I use the speaker for instructional Yoga MP4’s and it works amazing,if you like to load MP4 music,you can turn off the screen to save power. The buttons are very sensitive, even the on/off,but the lock button works well,and you can feel it LOCK into position.

there is an on/off backlight for the functions controls. The instructions little weak, most of what you do will be learn as you go,but you don’t have to be a tech wizard to figure out how to work it.

I bought a $5/16g Fuji microsd card for also from WM online – combined capacity with these two is all I will ever need. As far as sound quality, it is good but not great,especially on MP3 format,EQ is not all that good either, volume is low overall, I had to retool most all of my music to get a better sound, and change them from MP3 format to wav/flac since I’ve all that extra memory now, but all in all outstanding value for your dollars.

For the price, this is a wonderful little piece of kit. If I’d paid twice the price I wouldn’t have been disappointed. Even the packaging suggests a high-quality and classy product. It’s got weight, appears to be all metal (and glass, of course).

In fact the build quality reminds me very much of the old iPhones (only smaller). The touch sensitive controls are responsive and the display is not bad at all. Navigation and controls are very intuitive, meaning the instruction book isn’t needed for anyone with even half a brain.

It has a speaker, and at full volume offers a decent sound from the device itself. Through earphones it is, of course, better still. Size: (L) 9cm X (W) 4. 8cm.

Nice interface, multiple uses, decent speaker. Plays most video and music formats. Some videos need to be accessed through the “folder” directory to work, but still has been working well. Doesn’t pause when shut down, but that’s not a problem.

Smaller than I imagined and the buttons aren’t raised, making them tougher to press and be sure that they registered. Worth the price.

I lost / misplaced mine over 2 months ago and haven’t missed it yet. This thing worked twice in the 3 weeks that I had it and it inconveniently NEVER worked when I need it to work. I am not the type with too much pride to read the support pages.

I put in at least 2 hours of research and more on trial & error on dealing with my Mighty’s connection issues. This isn’t cable installation in the 90’s. It’s a Bluetooth player! Despite the tone of this review, I’m not really all that upset over the wasting of $100+ on something that only worked twice.

I am irritated at these emails I’ve somehow signed up for to tell me about all the special options and deals for my Mighty Device that, I repeat, only worked twice and NEVER when i needed it to. Do Not Buy.

I didn’t realize how much I missed my ipod shuffle until I used this guy. The Mighty’s size, weight, ease of use and storage are all great. Now I won’t have to hold my heavy phone on the treadmill, place my phone in a puddle of mystery fluid on the elliptical, or have it clanging around my pocket on a bike.

Setup with my Spotify account was easy, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised how simple pairing with my airpods has been. The player is easy to utilize without looking because a bump on the “volume up” button let’s you know where everthing else is.

MP3 player (red color) is working fine. It looks like a toy, but its performance is outstanding. It is made of rubberised plastic, does not slip, is very light weight. Lots of space for saving songs and battery performance has been excellent after some days of use.

It can be easily connected to the laptop (OS windows 7, etc. ), and its very easy to transfer MP3 songs to this player. The supplied earphones may not be the best, but other better ones that you have can be used.

The sound equaliser feature in the player helps in producing decent rock / pop / jazz, etc. sounds. Its indeed a good player available at an affordable price.

I have been using one of these for about 3 years, but it eventually died, and I have ordered another. In Europe, because of EU legislation concerning the maximum volume of an MP3 player, I find most of them too soft, unless I’m in a silent environment – but difficult to hear while I’m in the car, or if I’m on a bicycle and a car goes by.

The X06, however, is better than others I have tried in this respect – and that’s why I’m buying another. I use it for podcasts and audiobooks – not music – so I am unconcerned about the sound quality – though I think it’s quite good.

Features that it does not have, but which I would like, are 1) a lock button to switch off the control buttons. It’s so easy to accidentally press a button and lose the place in a recording – which is a real pain if I’m 9 hours into a 14 hour audio book.

2) if I have two tracks, t1 and t2, I would like to be able to select t2 then rewind into the end of t1 – but the X06 can’t do that – however, not many of them can. It has a problem with the button controls, and it is sometimes difficult to make it do what I want – I press Rewind, and it does something different – or it doesn’t do anything.

The buttons are imprecise. I have had to open it five times to re-solder the audio outlet socket, and that is what has killed my current one – the solder pads on the board have lifted due to being re-soldered once too many times.

I think this is probably due to strain being put onto the connector when the player is crushed (or even squeezed) between the body of the wearer and some solid object, like the kitchen bench, for example.

This can put a force against the audio plug, which tends to bend the socket, which is soldered onto the main board. All that said – I’m buying another, so I can’t be too dissatisfied with it – though I would buy something else if I could find the reviews that I want – most reviews show you how to get things out of the box – but I think I can figure that out myself.

When playing thru bluetooth the options are different to playing thru a headset ie you can only play by folder, not artist. Also if you play on shuffle setting thru bluetooth then turn player off or disconnect and reconnect bluetooth then you can’t continue from where you were, you have to start again.

This is ok playing an album as you can manually choose where to restart. On a random setting tho the order resets differently every time so you will get repeat songs. Reading in documentation online it states that the player only recognises up to 4000 songs.

Not sure if this is correct on an external card or whether just on internal memory. I haven’t transferred that many songs yet so cannot say. Battery is not removable. Overall i am very happy so far.

Though the instruction manual is a bit sparse and not particularly well written, I found that by referring to it and fiddling some, I could operate this unit fairly quickly. So far I am quite pleased with the player whether using Bluetooth headphones (purchased separately) or the plug-in ones that came with it.

I have been using the player for some time now and I am very please with the built quality and features. The player is worth every cent of the asking price. It takes a time to set up the player and get used to the controls, depends are you left or right-handed.

If you know how to correctly adjust gain/max volume settings with your headphone’s best dynamics you will be rewarded with a glorious sound stage. If you are on the path to becoming an audiophile or you are already one, load the player with high-definition music files and get a decent pair of headphones.

You will enjoy it. And leave the digital filter to default. The Player’s DAC and output stage were designed for the sharp roll-off audio filter. If you change the audio filter setting to something else you will have to spend hours playing with the equalizer thing to compensate for mud mid-range frequencies.

Normally my experience with addicted to audio is great, however my recent experience regarding my newly purchased product ( FiiO M11 Plus ) was less than positive. While the player sounds great, the connectivity was very poor.

In summary, the wifi reception is terrible, & bluetooth is less than stellar ( LDAC was unlistenable ), and there were a few random reboots using usb DAC mode. The response for me at least felt like pseudo-intellectual handwaving on why the wifi in DAPS is generally bad.

I’d also add that talking about how much worse the previous generation of DAPs were, made me feel like I was being told I shouldn’t be complaining. The explanation regarding poor bluetooth was along the lines of “well different devices etc.

What is there to say,… If you’ve read one “professional” review of this you’ve read them all. Sure, it’s a bit large but everything is unless you get something much cheaper. I’m happy with this and would buy again.

Would be nice if it had a “global” EQ on the outputs as the EQ in Apple Music is,… my car’s stock radio has better. Much better. But I knew it didn’t have that when I bought it. The only reason not to buy this is if it won’t fit in your pocket but I’ve been using it in my pants pocket for over a month now with no issues.

And the case that comes with this makes it quite easy to adjust volume and skip/pause/rewind without sticking my hand in my pocket, which is a large plus.

I live in the U. K. and am a long term Astell & Kern user, owning both the 1000 and 2000 models. However, I liked that Sony was the inventor of DSD audio and this is their statement machine, but not easily available in Europe.

Moon Audio delivered for me – the machine was attractively priced, even after allowing for import duty, and it arrived very quickly, securely packaged. I was so impressed I bought a second machine, as the item may be discontinued.

How does it sound compared to an A&K SP2000? Through the balanced headphone out (using Tia Fourte 64 Lab i. e. m) significantly better in a more organic, natural way, that convinces you are listening to a real human voice.

Downsides are smaller on-board capacity 250Mb vs 500Mb, no Spotify or Tidal integration and DSD playback “capped” at files of 256Mb per second rather than state-of-the-art 512Mb on the A&K. But I can’t hear that difference anyway.

Also, the A&K machine can output FLAC at up to 24 bit 192kHz via its optical output into the DAC of your main HiFI system which is a very convenient feature.

Had this a few months now and to be honest not got nearly as much time with it as I would have liked. But the time I have had has been so rewarding and enjoyable and I know it will get even better as the capacitors burn in.

Very expensive but there again it is esoteric. I have had many players from the likes of Pioneer, Onkyo, Fiio, and also Sony themselves etc. all very good in their own ways but this one gives sound quality way above of the competition.

Highs, mids and lows all very spacious and well segregated, it’s like sitting in the middle of the orchestra and I am hearing detail I never knew existed previously. I have read many letters and articles about spending so much on a player that hasn’t even got wireless capability but this dedicated focused player just does so well the thing it was designed to do.

play music to the very best sound quality and delight! It brought home to me just how disruptive and quality destroying listening through Android based players actually is. Build quality is what you expect from Sony, magnificent and the firmware easy to use and intuitive.

I also like the weight of this copper player, you feel as though you really have something quality and substantial in your hands. Sits well in the palm with easy access to all the buttons which feels very natural.

It is Sony, what more can one say. The build quality, design and functionality are top notch. The sound through the normal headphone jack is crystal clear with a good bass sound. I have it connected to my system using bluetooth and the clarity is amazing.

As yet I have not had the pleasure of listening through the balanced out, but i can only imagine how that sounds. Great product.

This is my first Walkman player in about 11 years. What I like about the SONY Walkman MP3 machines is their absolute simplicity of purpose. This particular model doesn’t even feature a video player – so it is strictly dedicated to sound enjoyment (and yes – a few JPEGs, if you want them).

SONY has made some gains and compromises over the years, so I would offer that the start-up is nice and fast (whereas the old machine took at least 15 seconds from ‘off’), the control panels on the front are hair-trigger and easy to mis-strike.

Additionally, per limitations of SONY’s philosophy, remote buttons on lanyard headphones will not work – not even volume controls. It is, after all (and thankfully) not a phone. The switch from metal to plastic has made the object so light as to be almost too light for the hands (particularly large hands).

I’ve looked for a good cover and haven’t really found an equivalent to what I had which covered the face plate. I’m searching through drawers for a screen protector – assuming the information window is delicate plastic.

The 30-hour battery life claim may be true, but it hasn’t been thoroughly tested by me. I’m looking forward to it, though. As a light, affordable, great-sounding player, this is probably far ahead of the pack.

Just get a little case for it and the headphones and you”ll be well-served. The AAC format seems to be very economical on file size, so even the smallest model holds lots of CDs.

Disappointed in Sony – whose Walkman products set the standard in years past. Not at all intuitive to use & somehow I can’t fathom how to turn it off – I just leave it & it catches up by itself, I guess (for the battery seems to last between uses).

Worse, if later I barely touch the play button its switches back on & resumes playing without any prompt from me. Too clever by half. I wanted something for listening to audio books where I could set a sleep timer to 15 minutes.

I got this after I learned that it had a sleep function but sadly it’s only in increments of 30 minutes. I bought it second hand from someone who’s daughter coudn’t work out how to use it (for listening to music).

That says it all ! All this at premium price (when new).

The M11 is basically everything that the X5 III was, but on steroids – bigger, faster, and more grunt. Bigger, more responsive screen. Bigger, longer lasting battery. Much faster startup and shutdown times.

More functions. And better sounding. The M11 has all the lowpass filters from the X5 III, but adds a new one called low dispersion short delay filter. To my ears it subtly flattens low frequencies. This may help to tame overly aggressive bass.

The M11 has dual microSD trays (like the X5 III) and supports microSD cards up to 2 terabytes, so you could have 4TB of storage in your pocket. (Weirdly, the M11s step-up model, the M11 Pro, reverts to a single microSD slot.

) The M11 produces very good sound. It brings out greater musical detail than my X5 III could. I am assuming this is mostly due to the M11s better DAC (it uses the AKM 4493, whereas the X5 III uses the AKM 4490), though I understand that the quality of the circuitry around the DAC plays a part too.

The balanced output is a big improvement over the X5 III. I had been disappointed by the X5 IIIs relatively weak sound from its balanced out, but the M11 has rectified that. However, for the best sound I still use the line out and feed it to an external amp.

My favorite portable headphone amp is Monoliths THX AAA 124460 unit. The M11 has an All to DSD function which upconverts all audio to a DSD sample rate of 2. 8 MHz, as compared to 44. 1 kHz of CD audio.

Im willing to say I heard a difference between FLAC files and the DSD upconverted file, but that difference is very subtle generally a slightly more spacious sound and slightly better definition in the treble region.

With All to DSD turned off, I compared some FLAC encoded albums to their actual DSD mastered versions. There was a more obvious difference this time around: the DSD version had clearly greater presence and detail, while at the same time sounding smoother than its regular FLAC counterpart.

So for me the moral is that an upconversion trick is not a substitute for the real thing. But All to DSD is still a nice little bonus that Fiio throws in, so theres no harm in trying it for yourself.

It might actually make lower quality audio sources sound a lot better. Bluetooth sounds very good. Maybe its the quality of the connection, but whatever the reason, Bluetooth audio on my M11 sounds clearer and stronger than on my phone.

The M11 does support the higher spec wireless codecs, namely aptX-HD and LDAC, but I have no way to know if the M11 actually hits those higher bitrates in use. WiFi performance is basically on par with my phone.

I can freely browse the Google Play Store and install apps from it, though I prefer not to clutter up a dedicated music device like the M11 with more bloat. Just because you can doesnt mean you should.

While the M11 does its best to imitate a smartphone, it isnt as powerful as one. Certainly not against the latest and greatest ones out there. Therefore it will take slower to process all the apps that you may be tempted to throw at it.

Just use the M11 for its intended purpose as a portable music player that can rival the sound from any phone, and you shouldnt be disappointed. The only real mark against the M11 in its field is that its competing against newer siblings, the M11 Pro and the M11 Plus Limited.

Fiio may have released them too close to each other. So the plain M11 might no longer be desirable for those who want the M11 in its final form. However, I can still recommend the vanilla M11 as an excellent portable player that nearly rivals my desktop PC for audio fidelity.

The Fiio M15 is fantastic sounding. It has a very refined smooth and detailed sound. Better sounding than my Fiio M11 Pro and more powerful. It runs my Sennheiser hd600 with no issues even some songs runs fine on single ended but for sure on balanced mode.

The m15 runs my focal clear with ease on single ended too. Love the volume knob. BT connection is instant and sounds like wired. The first dap that does not require a separate amp to drive my headphones sounding full.

My Monolith M560 planar magnetic are driven to its full potential. Never sounded so good without an amp. I have had many Daps and fiios, this one has been my best. I will be keeping this baby.

I guess this is my best collection ever. I’m a fan of Sony and I’d couple of great Sony headphones and players (not customized version like gold brick :)). I enjoy every time with them, adding color to my life with high quality music.

Now I finally found this M17 after long search online, thank you Addicted to Audio support team for their kind response to my question and enquire. This is one of the greatest tech modules designed players and yes it’s heavy but the sound quality is better than it looks.

Of course its appearance is also very refined and high-end. I played the same song with all Sony headphones and ended up with M17 getting the highest score I expected. Now M17 has taken the place of Sony NW-ZX500.

I was looking for a way to listen to music without wasting my phone’s space and battery. I had an mp3 player 10 years ago that broke ~3 years ago so I figured now was the time for a new one. This mp3 player does NOT connect to the internet which I like because I don’t want to be bombarded by ads every waking second or having my music preferences or location tracked for no good reason.

Note: I am not an audiophile so I’m not sure if the mp3 player has any issues with incredible mega high definition music quality or something, but much of my music is in. flac format and sounds good to me.

The player is made for exercising so it’s small but pretty sturdy. I also like that it has a clip on the back since some of my clothes don’t have pockets, though the clip does wobble slightly so we’ll see how that holds up over time.

The screen is equally small but bright, and you can adjust the brightness. I keep my music on permanent shuffle lol, so I hardly look at the screen. Buttons are easy to understand but you have to use some force when pushing them.

The volume is loud enough for me on the lowest or 2nd lowest level on normal volume settings (I work in a quiet place), but the mp3 player also has the option for “high” volume range in the settings in addition to its normal volume range? So I suppose if you want your ears to explode that’s available to you.

You must have headphones/earbuds/speaker/whatever connected as the player has no speakers of its own, which I like because I don’t blast my music everywhere out in public. Oh, and it’s water resistant when all the little ports are shut, very cool.

The battery on this lasts FOREVER also, like wow, literal days of music. But I’m keeping it on low volume and also using wired headphones, so your mileage may vary. Overall, very pleased.

I’d put off buying an Mp3 player as didn’t normally store music on my PC, But then I did and wanted music on the move. This unit is very very good as far as the quality of the recordings that are loaded on it.

On line videos helped more than the scant written instructions but I’m 63, the supplied earphones are good enough to show up poor recordings, and it loaded up hundreds of tracks in seconds or as the instructions say Sinking the unit with the music CD’s on my computer.

2 hours to charge from opening via USB (in my case) and still on the first charge now after a week, and I use the built in personal equalizer to customise the sound but it has pre-sets.

I give it 3 stars because it is mechanically a very solid device, well constructed, just like my old Sansa Zip Clip, but sadly, there are some basic features for playing music by folder that the ZipClip includes but were not present on this player.

I an low tech, so cannot comprehend trying to make metadata for all my 20,000+ music tracks. It was so nice with the ZipClip to just drag and drop and play, but no, they failed to include those simple features in this player.

Here is the problem for those contemplating playing music by folder: 1. It does not have a PLAY ALL selection that the Zip Clip did, so you can only play one folder, not all nine Beethoven Symphonies unless you put them all in the same folder.

2. It does not seamlessly transition from one track to another, which for my opera recordings is a bummer when there is a gap, mid-word in the play. Not sure how the ZipClip worked for that. 3. This is perhaps the worst feature.

You cannot drag and drop a folder of music as the device will play it in the order it copies to the player, NOT the LOGICAL alphanumeric order. I decided to keep the player as I am not sure there are any others out there as well constructed as the Sansa, but it was a PAIN loading over 6000 tracks, every track having to be copied one at a time to the folder.

4. You reallly can’t tell where you are in a work since it all has to be in one folder. Take for example Wagner’s Die Valkurie opera. It is 4 disks. On the Zip Clip i had 4 folders and it would play through, so each folder had the album cover with an number added for what disk it is on.

Sansa? Why don’t you care about us old timers who are not tech savvy? All you had to do is retain the features for folder play that the Zip Clip had and we would be very happy.

This is a great product. Using it is super easy. After contacting the store on how to transfer music into the device , I resurrected an old laptop, logged into 7DigitalNZ to purchase music and transfered it into the MP3 player.

Tried to use Amazon for purchasing but I could not get it to work. Using my own ear buds, the music is great. It’s really small, and yet it is phenomenal. I don’t use the clip, so can’t comment on that.

Great value for the price. Customer service at Rubber Monkey was excellent. Delivery was the next day. Can’t say enough good things about the device. If you like MP3s this is the device for you.

I own the following Fiio items, M11 Pro, K5 Pro, K9 Pro, FD5, FA7, BTR 5 and a few minor other items. Purchased these on Dec. 2, as soon as APOS had them in stock so I have used it for almost 3 months.

The M17 is the King of the list. I use it at home and keep the M11 as my portable player. Too big to lug around, I like the controls on the M11 better especially the play/pause button. I guess not being a true portable has it’s drawbacks.

I also use a clear silicone case for the M11. All the IEM’s I use sound better in the M17 and it can drive all my headphones, HD8XX, Focal Clear and HE560 being the toughest. I have a Toppings A90 amp and this player actually comes close to it’s sound quality and volume.

Good job. The reason for the exception is the problem with storage. It lists 64 Gb but when I hook it to my computer to load it it shows 48 Gb. Not a deal breaker but I didn’t expect it to be 25% short.

I run a computer repair business and wouldn’t advertise 64Gb and deliver 48Gb. (this is really nit picking) But just put in a 1Tb card and you won’t have to worry. Mine works fine but buy a high quality card like SanDisk, Silicon Power or Lexar.

You only need the Ultra no Extreme or Pro and it works perfect. I have about 4,000. flac albums on it and still have 40% of the card available. As for me I am 68 years old and have been meddling in consumer hifi gear since the 70’s.

Have much much more tied up in my home theatre system but I love my M17. I can rock like I’m at a live concert all over the house and not bother a soul now. So go out and buy one and listen to I LOVE IT by Kylie Minogue and you’ll love it too.

Shipping and handling was great, received my M17 this past Saturday and have been using it for the past few days. This thing is POWERFUL! Sound stage is wide, instrument separation is very good and clean.

So far I am impressed with this DAP, it is very resolving and can power any headphones you throw at it. Can get a little warm when using the two over-ear headphone modes. However, the fan/stand accessory makes that negligible.

No issues with this unit so far. Will be updating to give further details on sound impressions as the unit “breaks in”. Thanks Apos!.

Fiio m17 is a beast! 3w per channel power on the go with desktop class sound quality. Have latest tech. Inside With all major I/o options making it versatile for portable use. Unboxing experience was very good.

Comes with lots of accessories. As always Audio store is my one stop solution for all my audio gears. Also would like to appreciate pritam for his assistance regards to price and delivery. 🙂 Highly recommended DAP! Go for it.

It’s small and compact. This is my third Sony Walkman and they’ve certainly downgraded the materials. It’s made of plastic, not metal, so it’s much lighter, but there’s no clock feature which is useful for running outside and checking your time, etc.

Also the radio settings are not user-friendly. Once the stations are set, it’s a challenge to go from one station to the next without exiting the radio option. So it’s okay but not as easy to use as the previous versions.

A great little player. Solid construction. Superior ratings vs 8g (which apparently hangs). Currently testing 4g which also has excellent ratings. The sound is simply wonderful. Easy to use, easy to enjoy *grin*, Apparently newer walkmans suck but isn’t that usually the case?.

I use an mp3 player for audio books. This is an old fashioned way of doing it and requires that you have the mp3 or WMA sound files available, as opposed to listening through a third party service such as Audible or Hoopla.

But this works for me. While this unit does not let you bookmark titles and skip back and forth, it is very straightforward and easy to use. I had a one of these for years and it had amazing battery life.

I don’t know about this one yet, as I bought it used.

Overall this unit is very good and has the features that I was looking for in a digital player: large internal HD, external HD capability, RCA interconnects to be used with your existing system, and the transfer feature from your computer over wi-fi of newly downloaded music.

Most of the negative reviews (from a few years back when it originally came out) I read were of users complaining that the transfer of their existing library is very slow. The transfer speed seems fine to me (I selectively transferred items), even over my wi-fi.

Granted it does not sort of zip it but a 16 track album for example only takes about a minute or less. I think these users had such a huge library that it appeared to transfer slowly, i. e. , the green bar hardly moving, because of the sheer number of tracks in their library.

The SONY transfer program is very simple and works great. The Firmware updates are fast. And the App to control it is a must have to operate the unit and maintain the library. The App has a nice layout and is simple to use.

The front panel looks nice and since you use the App anyway it did not matter to me that the screen is rather small. For the price, apart from the front panel, the build could have been nicer, compared to the Yamaha components that have a luxurious finish in that price category, here the case is a bit cheapish and you can see the plain screws that were used.

The remote is really not necessary, again given the App. The only two quirks I had so far is that the external drive feature appears to be an older version, meaning it would not plug-and-play and external USB drive I bought which contained music.

The vendor of that drive mentioned that SONY uses an outdated file requirement. So I had to format a new drive specifically for the SONY and then re-transfer the albums, inconvenient, yes, but it now recognizes it properly.

The other is that in the App the folder view (where you can see the raw data of the tracks) and album view (the front end view) are not always identical after a transfer. I am not sure if this is caused by the App or unit during the transfer.

In the album view, the track sort can have errors. For some reason a random disc number is attached to some tracks and it throws off the sorting. It seems random but adds an additional maintenance work to the library, but it can be easily fixed through the App, which actually has some nice features like dividing an album.

I can happily say that I am a proud owner of the Sony HAP-ZIES. First impressions when bought was that it was a well and solidly built hifi piece. I was particularly impressed with the fact that I was able to do a one-off transfer of all my 850 cd albums which occupied only small portion of the 1TB internal hard drive.

Transfer took a while given the size of my cd collection but was seamless. I would strongly advise on using an ethenet connection when transferring large volume of cds as it is exceptionally quicker.

The internal Gracenote app even provided information about some of my old tracks which I was unaware of. What impressed me most about the HAP-Z1ES was the quality of the sound production. it’s just phenomenal and its hard to beat.

The remote that came with it was quite redundant. I think Sony might have done this on purpose to encourage people to instead use the HDD Remote app instead. and they were surely right as the remote app has loads of functionalities including a search function which comes handy for me when I want to select tracks out of thousands.

Its yet early to give a full review as I have only owned it for about a month but so far I couldnt find any faults as yet. I can see myself hanging on to it for years to come as long as Sony keeps updating the firmware, apps etc.

This unit is great. I struggled with iTunes, keeping the music on the Computer and then in iCloud. I would have a lot of doubles. I take my songs in iTunes that I have purchased or ripped from CD and created apple lossless music files.

ALAC. The sound quality is awesome and this Sony unit plays them. This unit also remasters the music and it sounds fantastic. You transfer the music from a file on your computer. I use dropbox. You use a downloadable program to do the transfer.

It is quite quick, a little faster than ripping CD’s to ALAC. Once the songs are transferred you can play them by looking for the Artist, the Album or the song. You can play on the fly or create playlists.

Another neat feature is the IOS remote control app. Using an IOS device you can completely control the HAP-ZiES. The unit must be connected to a network either wired or wireless. Easy setup. The unit has 1TB of internal storage via Hard Drive, this can be changed to a 2TB in the future.

You can connect external hard drives via usb port and really increase your storage capacity. You can also rip CDs right to the hard drive by using a portable cd drive. You can check the website to see what ones have been tested.

I prefer to rip to the computer first, then I have a copy of the song files. This unit is not cheap, but it is made very well. It weighs 35 lbs and has a 5 yr warranty like all Sony ES products.

This is my second purchase of this product (previous version failed a day after the warranty expired!). I use it almost exclusively for swimming, which I do three times a week. Pros: 1. it works under water – how cool is that?! 2.

it has a minimalist design that doesn’t get caught when you’re moving around. 3. it charges enough to last for an hour in about five minutes – also very cool. Cons: 1. for swimming there are specific earbuds which have covered orifices to keep the water out – this is necessary in my experience as the previous version just had normal buds and as soon as a drop of water got in to them – no more sound.

However it drastically reduces the volume of the output – too much so really. 2. You need a hat to keep the player in your ears when swimming – they fly out when you push off a wall otherwise. Again I can’t really see a way of avoiding this however.

3. I have used them for running with the normal earbuds – although they are light they still move around with my normal running gait, which distorts the sound and gets irritating. 4. you really have to push hard on the power button to get it to start and there is no definitive click when you do this, so sometimes you can stand there for over a minute trying to start or stop the player.

Overall I’m happy with the player. Let’s face it, swimming is pretty dull and if you can alleviate this with music it’s a real bonus. The volume using the swimming buds is a let-down though and could do with more work.

I bought this over a month ago and i have been using it a number of times each week. I use this for swimming. A slight niggle is that it has fell out of my ear – only on a few occasions – if I have pushed hard off the edge of the pool when doing lengths.

But I learned to secure the back with my goggles and this seems to work, but I am not a particularly fast swimmer, so fast swimmers may experience this issue more. The volume is a little low even at the highest volume setting, but I presume this is a safety feature so its doesn’t damage hearing.

The device is quite straightforward to work and the website to upload your music links with iTunes so I didn’t have to reload my music, which is great. But you do need to be a little nimble as the buttons are quite small when using.

It comes with a range of ear plug sizes, which is good. The battery life is fine, i haven’t experienced any issues with the battery life. I haven’t used this for other fitness activities other than swimming – as I did buy it particularly for this.

I still tend to use other devices for my other exercises, as I am often tracking runs, monitoring my heart rate etc, while listening to music simultaneously. Overall it does what it says on the tin, there are very few other products like it and i think it provides good value for money.

It has made my swimming experiences more enjoyable.

This was a surprising purchase. I was skeptical in regards to Comfort and whether or not the device would stay in the ear. Those concerns have officially gone. It stays in the ear even if the rubber attachment isn’t tightened (Like a rubber tie which you can adjust to make it fit better).

Its also light and is about as comfortable as wearing (in ear) headphones. The sound quality is good, providing you have the normal ear-buds in, it is greatly diminished by the waterproof ones. What I will say which I left out of my other review on another site was the noise cancellation is fantastic.

To the point I have to stress you may want to be doubly wary of surroundings. My gym pumps out music fairly loud and these just canceled it out completely I also don’t have to listen to incompetent gym users throwing weights to the floor or Social Gym members chattering away which is a plus.

I have not and probably will not anytime soon used this in Water. But I do intense cardio and have had no problems with sweat which shorted out my previous set of headphones (different brand). Overall it’s a purchase without regret.

TranslateShow in original languageDieses Gerät habe ich ausgewählt, weil es eines der noch ganz wenigen ist, die ohne eingebauten Akku zu betreiben sind. Dadurch reicht die Spielzeit auch für lange Außenaufenthalte, wenn man Ersatzbatterien oder AAA-Akkus mitnimmt.

Ich benutze den Player fast ausschließlich für Podcasts von WDR, BR und DLF mit Wortbeiträgen. Dafür reicht die Qualität allemal. Da der Player nun mal da ist und einen großen Speicher besitzt, habe ich auch einiges an Musik aufgespielt; auch hier genügt die Qualität für unterwegs.

Und wenn der Player mal den Geist aufgeben sollte: die Mikro-SD-Karte mit 8 GB kann entnommen und weiterverwendet werden. Nachteilig sind das winzige Display und die etwas fummelige Navigation. Die abgespielte Zeit eines Titels wird leider nur mit einstelliger Minutenanzahl dargestellt, d.

h. bei längeren Titeln ist die Spielzeit nicht eindeutig festzustellen, und beim schnellen Vorlauf ist die Geschwindigkeit konstant und nicht, wie bei fast allen anderen Geräten üblich, progressiv.

TranslateShow in original languageWie bei jedem bisher getesteten Batterie-MP-Player hat dieser eine sehr lange Laufzeit mit einer herkmmlichen AAA-Batterie. Die Menfhrung mit dem winzigen “Joystick” ist sehr gewhnungsbedrftig, funktioniert aber gut.

Weniger gut ist die Bedienerfreundlichkeit des Mens. Man muss schon genau wissen, was man wie zu klicken hat, um zB zur Ordnerbersicht oder zum Wiedergabemodus zu kommen. Mit etwas bung geht auch dies.

rgerlich ist nur die Random/Shuffle-Funktion. Nachdem mehrere getestete Player eine sauschlechte Funktion hatten, die nur 5-10 Lieder von 100 in immer dersekben Reihenfolge wiederholten (und dies dann die “Zufallswiedergabe” war), bin ich hiermit durchaus zufrieden.

ABER: schaltet man im Random-Modus ein paar Lieder vor oder zurck, werden immer dieselben Lieder in derselben Reihenfolge abgespielt. Manchmal auch, wenn man den Player in diesem Modus einfach nur laufen lsst.

Meistens spielt er aber halbwegs vernnftig zufllig, solange man nicht manuell ein Lied weiterschaltet. Optik, Robustheit und Preis sind sehr OK. Man kann die Micro-SD-Speicherkarte herausnehmen, austauschen oder den Player mit dem USB-Anschluss bespielen.

Wrde ich diesen Player wieder kaufen? Sofern mir keiner mit besserer Zufallsfunktion begegnet, ja. Sonst nicht.

TranslateShow in original languageGoede mp3 speler, makkelijk te koppelen via bluetooth. Wel aandenken dat je na het koppelen van bluetooth in datzelfde bluetooth menu de nummers moet zoeken! Niet teruggaan want dan schakel je bluetooth weer uit.

Afspeelmenu is even wennen. Persoonlijk speel ik niet af via artiesten of nummers maar via de mappenstructuur. Die jezelf kan aanmaken. Dat werkt sneller dan de andere opties. Levensduur batterij had langer gemogen maar een paar uur lukt makkelijk.

Handig dat hij veel afspeelformaten zoals ook flac, herkent. Het is geen ipod qua menu maar het makkelijk overzetten en ordenen van nummers via windows verkenner en het prima geluid maken de prijs meer dan waard.

Inclusief oordopjes. Een 8gb kaart geeft al aardig wat ruimte maar ik heb graag voor alle moods ruime keus. Heb er dus zelf een 64gb kaartje ingezet ,ik ga mij voorlopig niet vervelen!.

TranslateShow in original languageDer mp3 Player tut was er soll und das gar nicht schlecht. Mein Sohn hat ihn zum 8. Geburtstag bekommen und kommt damit gut zurecht. Zwecks Videos raufladen sollte man vorher die Anleitung, die auf der Speicherkarte ist lesen, das hilft ungemein weiter.

Etwas lästig ist, dass er sich die Bluetooth Verbindung nicht merkt, die muss halt jedesmal manuell eingestellt werden. Aber das ist zu verschmerzen. Funktionieren tut er einwandfrei, der Akku hält für die Anforderungen meines Sohnes gut und der Klang ist auch gut.

Wir sind zufrieden. Und die Lieferung funktionierte auch einwandfrei.
