Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence are both comedic actors who will make you laugh. This movie that has both actors delivers funny moments. If youre a fan of either of the two actors this would be a movie to check out.

Once upon a time in America, life in prison meant precisely that. There was no early parole, no time off for good behavior. If you were sentenced to life, you could pretty much count on dying a prisoner in some godforsaken camp, farm or prison.

Eddie Murphy is a small-time crook in Prohibition-era New York trying to get out of debt to a Harlem mobster. He sets up a scheme of driving some Mississippi moonshine to the mobster’s speakeasy in New York.

He ropes in as his driver Martin Lawrence, a bank teller who has also fallen afoul of the mobster because of an unpaid gambling debt. Murphy’s character’s weak nature gets the better of him and after receiving the liquor shipment, he decides to do some gambling in a rural club.

He gets cheated by a local card sharp who later mouths off to the town sheriff, who murders him. Murphy and Lawrence have the misfortune of discovering the body, and being seen with it. They get, you guessed it, life in prison.

The two, initially antagonistic to one another, are forced to rely upon each other in the brutal work camp to which they are sentenced. Time passes and they dream of the freedom it seems will be denied them for a crime of which they aren’t guilty.

There are a lot of moving moments in “Life” and with Murphy and Lawrence, even more funny ones. There is social commentary in the form of how black men are treated in the South, but it isn’t strongly told or terribly compelling.

Other movies explore that subject in greater depth and with greater insight. The problem with “Life” is that the filmmakers aren’t sure whether they wanted to make a comedy, an examination of prison life in the Deep South of, say, 50 years ago, or a political/social commentary on the shaft given African Americans.

They decide to do all these things, and in fact their reach exceeds their grasp. “Life” really doesn’t give you any new insights into anything. It’s mainly an excuse to pair two of the brightest comic minds in America.

Watching the two at work individually is fascinating, but Lawrence and Murphy don’t generate enough chemistry to hold any interest as a team.

This movie is hilarious, Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence make a fantastic duo. This comedy is so funny. I enjoy it every time I watch it.

Excellent movie! Deals with an historical event. Very compelling and well told. Heart-warming while also heart-wrenching. It doesn’t directly deal with racism, but it shows some aspects of what was believed by several different groups at the time.

Truly worth watching, but not for young children.

Sometimes a great movie comes along. Not often enough. History is a wonderful subject. It changes constantly, and catches many by surprise. This movie is just that. It is a true story, and the story is magnificent in every way.

So captivating is this movie, that if you watch it in a theater-like setting, you will actually feel you are back in time. When a movie does this, it deserves all the accolades. The characters pop right out of the screen, and enthrall you with their splendid mannerisms.

Let’s see. where do I begin? Anthony Hopkins as John Quincy Adams. Totally believable. Matthew McConaughey. This movie must have launched his career. Morgan Freeman. Always entertaining. On and on. Watch it and go back in history.

One movie that should be rated much higher. Caution: Too violent for younger audiences.

Great storyline, goes to the heart of America, we all are equal and those who fight for the rights of others! I will watch this one again and recommend it to anyone.

Literally from the moment when humans began traveling the seas and oceans out of the sight of land, there have been tales of people being shipwrecked and marooned. Sometimes it is small groups of people on an uninhabited island, other times there are natives on the island and in a few cases, it is one person all alone.

Different and more expanded versions of this story arose in science fiction after interplanetary travel became plausible. The recent hit movie “The Martian” is the best-known example of the lone person marooned.

This movie is one where a single person somehow manages to survive a destructive plane crash and wash up on the beach of an uninhabited tropical island. Tom Hanks stars as Chuck Nolan, an engineer with FedEx that is a hard driving, yet somewhat personable individual.

He is flying as a passenger in a company cargo jet when they encounter a violent storm and there is an onboard explosion of some kind. Once on the island, Nolan needs to immediately satisfy his basic needs of food, water and shelter.

He struggles to get a fire going, open a coconut and other basic tasks with no modern tools. Fortunately, a few packages from the plane wash up on the beach and he finds some useful items in them. After four years, he realizes that if he does not leave the island, he will die there alone and largely forgotten.

This movie is nearly all Tom Hanks and he does a superb job of playing the increasingly eccentric exile in an odd form of solitary confinement. In order to keep himself sane, he must go a little insane, inventing a semi-imaginary companion to talk to.

It is a worthy addition to the story of how humans can adapt in the most strenuous of circumstances and with no hope of any assistance.

Tom Hanks does a superb in his portrayal as Chuck Noland, a FedEx troubleshooter who finds himself stranded on a deserted island in South Pacific. Despite being alone onscreen for an overwhelming majority of the film, the plot focuses on his will to survive on the island for four years and his various attempts to get off the island.

This film was a pure joy to watch unfold on screen. It truly shows the meaning of inner strength and hope.

This is a wonderful fantasy movie, but not necessarily for the whole family. It has a bit of a dark plot, but it ends well. Sit down with some delicious munchies and enjoy.

Somewhat in the same genre and feel of “Lord of the Rings,” this movie is another fantasy trip into a strange world of dwarfs and fantastic creatures. I would have given it 5 stars, but the acting and real feeling that makes characters seem real and accessible seemed to be lacking.

Music was great. Overall, it’s a good movie with a twisting plot that will entertain both children and adults alike.

This is a terrific fun and action packed fantasy for children of all ages. It’s now definitely a part of my prized collection, which I share with my little neighbors.

Who wouldn’t want to see Al Pacino, Sean Penn and John Leguizamo in the same film together? Al Pacino stars as Carlito Brigante in this 1993 picture, involving the escapades of his sleazy lawyer played by Sean Penn.

Penelope Ann Miller of such films as “Kindergarten Cop” and “The Shadow” also stars as the love interest to the title character. The 4k disc is a vast improvement over the Blu-ray for those who wish to upgrade.

Al Pacino and Director Brian De Palma back again a decade after Scarface. Al plays Carlito who just got out of prison and wants to leave the gangster life. Best scene is a train ride from one station to another.

This is one of the masterpieces of Brian de Palma you must have in your video library. The movie is well directed and the cast is superb. You can’t even recognize Sean Penn in this movie who played the role of a crooked lawyer.

Good movie to watch.

Pretty good movie, but language is bad. Used a few times GD word and a few more. I can’t understand why they can’t make a movie without bad language. They said it was a family movie for the whole family, but it isn’t.

There is enough on TV without making movies with the bad language. Gone With The Wind made millions with only one cuss word. No wonder kids are saying things they shouldn’t, because they hear it on movies, music or even from there parents.

The movie would have been a good movie without the bad language. It isn’t a family movie. Wish I had known before I bought it or I wouldn’t have really wasted my money. Before you buy it think twice.

It is kinda funny in places. It had a pretty good story line, but the language ruined it.

No scratches, and works nicely. Came brand new in packaging with regular disc, and Blu-ray disk. My only problem was that I ordered this one without doing adequate research and thought this was the first Jumanji with Kevin heart and Dwayne the rock Johnson.

I hadnt realized they had made two different Jumanji movies. Either way it was worth it because this movies equally as good as the first.

What a wonderful movie. Every parent with teenaged children should show this movie to their kids so they can grasp how hard work translates to success.

Similar plot to the 4th grade novel, Stone Fox. Engaging plot, but the content includes adults bullying a teenager during the dogsled race and a good amount of drinking and smoking. In one scene, the teen is given a drink, which he downs and a cigar, which he does not light, but does hold in his mouth.

There is some fist fighting that goes on too. Although the fight is completely understandable within the context of the story, I’m not sure that the PG-rating addresses all of these issues. This is one of those PG ratings that is one of those that is a bit questionable to show to students.

Even when parental consent, it makes me uncomfortable to think about showing it to my young students.

Facing the harshest elements of winter & other mushers, Will Stoneman (MacKenzie Astin) races toward the finish line with his own team of dogs lead by his late father’s dog Gus to capture the $10,000 prize to save the family home & to further his education.

During the outbreak of World War 1, Iron Will becomes front page news giving the people to rally behind him & become inspired by him. A wonderful family film for everyone of any age to enjoy. Very uplifting.

“1408”, a very scary Stephen King thriller from 2007, stars John Cusack as Mike Enslin, an author who specializes in exposing legends of so-called “paranormal” occurrences in different places as the frauds they are, writing books about them for his livelihood.

Mr. Enslin hasn’t been overly successful as far as book sales, but something drives him on to investigate every place with a ghostly history. Until, one day, he receives a postcard from a fan advertising the Dolphin Hotel in New York City, which reportedly has a room in which many people have died in macabre fashion.

His curiosity piqued, he arranges to spend a night in the accursed room, threatening to sue the reluctant hotel manager (well-played by Samuel L. Jackson) if he is not allowed to use the room. Despite an impassioned try at dissuading Enslin, he is finally allowed to move into Room 1408.

At first, Enslin believes he has just been “hyped” once again; however, it isn’t long before terrifying things begin happening almost without let-up. No guest in the room has lived longer than 1 hour, and the electric clock in the room mysteriously stops showing the time and instead starts displaying a one-hour countdown.

Although not a gory CGI-dominated slasher flick, 1408 succeeds in getting the viewer involved in the main character’s terrible plight. With edge-of-your-seat regularity, we follow the ordeal of Mike Enslin as his time slips away, seemingly taking his sanity along with it.

This movie makes you THINK, as well as use your imagination to try and figure out what is real and what is hallucination. All in all, this thriller will keep your pulse thumping through most of its hour and forty-five minutes.

What else can you ask of a horror flick? Rated PG-13 for disturbing and scary scenes, and some language. 4****.

A film based on Kings writings. Mike Enslin makes a living as an author, who specializes in the paranormal phenomenon. After receiving a postcard saying DO NOT STAY IN 1408, Mike becomes intrigued. After much hassle and waring from the hotel Manager, Mike finally makes it into the room.

What at first seems to be a normal hotel room, turns into a horrific nightmare and Mike only has one hour to live. Another john cusack movie but one that is different from most of his films. 1408 is not your typical horror flick in stead its a room from hell with vented vengence untill it meets its match and this is where the tables turn as the a normal hotel room goes postal on jhon things heat up and there is a twisted ending that all will never be the same.

If you like horror with a twist of action and drama the unfolds a great story then this film is for you. I bought this movie for the fact i enjoyed watching on the big screen and once owned it before.

So what are you waiting for run out and buy this dvd and enjoy what movies were made for good entertainment like this film gives you.

I wasn’t really to into seeing this movie. I was at the movie store, happened to see it on the shelf and rented it. I mostly gave in because John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson where in it. It was a little slow start but once Cusacks character gets to the hotel where the room 1408, it really starts to pick up and become interesting.

This is based off of a Stephen King short story (which I didn’t know until the movie started and I saw the credits). I have never read the short story this is based off so I can’t compair the two together.

The movie though, was wonderful. The plot of the story was what you think is going to be the same old “haunted place” story, but it wasn’t. The twist through out keep you guessing as to how the movie will end.

The acters so a wonderful job, but mostly you see Cusack through the movie. Though Jacksons part is not very big, he still delivers awsome lines that no one else could have pulled off. My hubby doesn’t like horror movies, but really enjoyed this one.

It isn’t filled with gore and blood. It takes a step back in time almost, to when not seeing something can be more scary and those small special effects like a turning key in a lock can give you chills.

This is a really great movie all around. A++ :).

I was under the impression this was a romantic western. It is not, but it does show the incredible hardships and loneliness that people faced when trying to settle the west. I am rather surprised that Tommy Lee Jones helped write this, as it is a very dark look at what I hope were the RARE realities of Western life at the time.

I love Tommy Lee Jones and the acting was excellent all the way through. But it was very possibly the saddest movie I have ever seen. It actually left me numb. It has taken me hours to put my feelings into words.

When boys were men and men were boys and girls became women way to fast. And neither had any choice because of the hard times they lived, in a area most of us knew nothing about. IT takes you on a non stop, un-inspected turns, and hardships and unbearable tragedy of this time.

That’s not really that long ago. Which possibly may give some insight on just how far we have come today with growth. ( R). Nuded ,Language, But worth it for the Entertainment ,educational. point of veiw.

This is a must-see if you are interested in how women were affected by the hardships of pioneer life. Yet it would be difficult to watch this film more than once. It is very sad. It is fascinating, although I’m not sure “entertaining” is the right word to describe a film in which women get raped, become hopelessly insane, and commit murder or suicide.

If you are a woman who is depressed because your husband is abusive, or because you have been rejected by every man you meet, I would advise you to skip this film.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is a strange and fantastic trip of a movie based on the 1971 novel by the late Hunter S. Thompson. While this film is certainly not for the faint of heart and probably would not appeal in the slightest to a person who has never taken hallucinogenic drugs, or at least been intimately exposed to their use, it still has a warmth and humor to it that makes it one of my favorite films ever.

Johnny Depp’s portrayal of Thompson is certainly larger than life but his manerisms and animations rival the subtle genius of a Buster Keaton or Charlie Chaplin. Benicio Del Toro also turns in a legendary performance as the twisted sidekick lawyer along for the ride.

Together they make this one of the best and weirdest films ever conceived and one of the finest ever adaptations of a book onto the big screen. In capturing a seemingly impossible world that resides inside the mind of Hunter S.

Thompson, director Terry Gilliam has given us a masterpiece that is worthy of repeated viewing. Starring Johhny Depp as Raoul Duke, a writer, and Benicio Del Toro as his lawyer, Dr. Gonzo, the story follows Duke and Gonzo from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.

They travel to Vegas under the pretense of working on a story but instead spend most of their time struggling in a drug induced haze to maintain a basic level of functionality. They seem to alternate periods of uncontrollable intoxication while one or the other usually manages to keep just enough awareness to avoid the destruction that the other seems intent on causing.

In the end they narrowly avoid disaster and end their trip heading in separate directions. The Criterion Collection edition of this movie is a 2 disc DVD with a number of special features including artwork by illustrator Ralph Steadman and a couple documentaries about Hunter S.

Thompson.

I only recently discovered of this american classic about drug use and the “american way” in a way youve never seen. When i fist saw this i could barely understand it now i wish i could live by it. The dvd itself(picture) looks very nice, slightly touched up and sharper than the original dvd version in my opinion.

The extras dvd is my favorite feature besides the movie itself which has a documentary style short movie about Hunter thompson himself the star of FEAR AND LOATHING. It really lets you see how well they captured his attitude and way of life.

Overall a good movie to watch for most people who are not afraid of a little drug use in their movies. Lets you see one of the many sides of american freedom.

on the opening week of this release in theatres, the critics nearly massacred the work much to my disbelief. thank goodness this brilliant work of genius terry gilliam & hunter thompson has managed to have an incredible shelf life in the video media world.

criterion has even gone so far as to release an incredible set for serious fans of the film to re-experience. needless to say, it looks fantastic & is definitely a great investment. this is, by far, johnny depp’s most bizarre yet versatile role & everything else could almost pale in comparison.

you won’t even remember edward scissorhands or the tv show 21 jump street after watching this. fear & loathing excels in being disturbing, frightening, & hilarious all at once. one is never certain whether they should be panicky or trembling with laughter.

‘Get Out’ struck me as more of a thriller with horror and comedic elements. While mostly horror, it’s actually completely hilarious in some parts, making it the funniest and scariest movie I have seen in ages.

It’s no small feat for a horror movie that is also funny. It’s an incredibly well-made film visually, with stylish and unsettling cinematography with some disturbingly surreal imagery. There’s a group of evil people that have developed a way to use kidnapped victims for scientific purposes.

The film is genuinely creepy. Instead of cheesy music and grotesque torture porn, it relies on the unknown to draw you in. The music looms suitably ominously and fits well. While all the performances are very fine, it is Daniel Kaluuya’s superb lead performance that burns in the memory the most.

Bradley Whitford and Catherine Keener nailed their performances as Rose’s parents. Not everything adds up by the end of “Get Out,” but the film plays out in extremely satisfying fashion.

Critics love this kind of movie – it talks a lot and provides plenty of in-depth character development. However, if, like me, you like a little action and scares in your “horror” movies, you won’t find those here.

This is definitely psychological “horror” only. That said, the movie is still good. I just think it is mis-classified. This is not a horror movie in my estimation. This is more “psychological thriller.

” To say more would give away too much information, so see this one, but don’t expect a horror movie.

This American Horror story finds a young black man with his white girl friend visiting her family at a strange mansion where he discovers some odd behavior among some of the other guests and family members.

As the plot progresses, you wonder who is in on the sinister goings on and who is not, until our hero finds himself totally involved in the action. Great suspense and screenplay.

Kendrick bros weave the importance of values and a belief in a higher power into their movies that remind us all that life is full of challenges, and, life is not easy. In these trying times (covid-19) messages like these are important because they remind us how fragile and challenging life is.

So far my experience with movies by the Kendrick brothers is that they are inspirational and family oriented. They speak on love and deliver lessons. I love Fireproof, and is actually on Day 6 of The Love Dare myself.

It’s all about making me better. When I change, everything else around me will change as well.

Two of the 5disc won’t stay in ther holder, but otherwise everything is ok! Delivery, product, price, all of the above is A-OK in my book!

First let me say that I had never heard of this series of books or these three movies until my wife told me about them. She read the whole series and had seen the first two movies and enjoyed them. Now before I say anything, you have to realize these are low budget, straight to DVD mivies.

I knew going in, it was a Christian group that made them and I had no problem with that having thought very highly of “Courageous”. Would I recommend this series to a friend? No, but if he really wants to see it, I’ll lend him mine and he can keep it.

The story: The “Rapture” happens and all children and “true believers” are raised up to heaven. The rest of us sinners need to either become outlawed believers in J. C. and be on the down low or become believers in a One World Religion under a U.

N. leader with a cheesey Russian accent and demonic abilities. Anyway, it’s all pretty corny. If you’re a fan of the books, watch them but I think I could have used the money for better things.

Great! Love these movies for Christian Movie Night. They are a great conversation piece. Makes everyone go study the Bible to see what it actually has to say. Raises questions most Christians had no idea to ask.

Also, makes the unbeliever curious.

Love the accuracy of the events as portrayed by the Bible. Scary stuff. It was made a while ago, but still made sense to my girls. I would have liked to see more of the video they kept on showing people from Pastor Billings.

If there is such a video, I think it should have been included with this set. They come in three videos. I am still waiting for the next volumes of this story. It obviously does not end where this last video ends, so I would like to see the rest of the story.

Contagion is a frightening realistic procedural thriller about the spread of an airborne pandemic virus, its impact on an ensemble cast of characters played by a veritable ‘Who’s Who’ of Hollywood and the subsequent race to find a cure.

What makes this movie so compelling is the way Soderbergh is able to show how unhygienic human beings are and how easy it is to create a pandemic. In hundreds of different absent minded ways we touch our faces on a daily basis and in doing so, transfer and spread dangerous viruses amongst ourselves.

Next time you’re in the supermarket look out for the number of people who pick their noses, wipe their mouths and cough, sneeze and splutter their way past you without any attempts to cover their mouths.

They’re picking up (and putting back) the fruit and vegetables, handling groceries and even touching your hand when supermarket staff are giving back your card or change! Worse still, a recent survey showed that although 95% of people say they wash their hands, only 12% actually do so and consequently 1 in 6 mobile phones have faecal bacterial on them and 30% of all handbags.

I could go on. The only question that remains is how many people will it kill? Anyway, see the movie it’s a thought provoking and scary chiller that taps into the current zeitgeist.

What if the weapon that does in modern civilization is one so small that it can only be seen under a microscope? And worse yet, what if it can’t be stopped? If even hearing those questions causes you to panic, you want to skip this film.

Beth Emhoff (played by Gwyneth Paltrow) returns home from a business trip to Hong Kong with symptoms of what appears to be a minor illness until her husband Mitch (played by Matt Damon) finds her on the kitchen floor having a seizure.

The doctors are dumbfounded as the disease manages to spread not only in the Emhoffs’ hometown of Minneapolis but also in other communities across the U. S. and the globe. The resulting fears are then stoked by a conspiracy-minded blogger named Alan Krunweide (played by Jude Law) who sees the disease as an attempt to further trim the civil liberties of ordinary citizens while drug companies and medical professionals rake in untold profits.

All while actual medical professionals (played by Kate Winslet, Laurence Fishburne, Marion Cotillard and others) continue to work tirelessly and gain little, if any, advantage in the fight. As already mentioned, this is a very impressive cast.

The individual stories tug at the sympathies of every viewer while the overall narrative is chilling to both germaphobes and those with anti-government leanings. And the eventual explanation montage ties all the events off very nicely.

Easily worth the trip.

Even though the movie was made before the COVid pandemic, I believe this movie would have been an excellent movie after the realistic event! There are so many similarities from this movie to what is happening now.

Granted the people are different but the fact that this virus multiplied so rapidly over months is identical. Not the type of movie if you are worried about getting the virus, however it’s an eye opener.

My Mom was just diagnosed with breast cancer so I bought this movie because it came highly recommended by my friends when they found out. The movie is VERY informative. It was VERY educational to see the struggles that the Doctors go through working with breast cancer.

You always hear about all the struggles that the women go through with breast cancer and I had never even thought about what the other side goes through. Makes me appreciate Doctors even more now.

As i have the Her2 marker i found this extremely valuable to watch, i recommend any woman to watch as my oncologist told me 1 in 5 woman have this. Fortunately regular checks and pathology can detect this early and treatment is successful.

I am a survivor. I am very pleased I was told about this movie.

I was recently diagnosed with stage2 breast cancer and this movie reminds me of how lucky I am to not have to go through clinical trials. Very educational!

The sound quality in this movie is amazing! The use of height is very nice and it can be heard that it is being used properly. The bass is awesome and there is a lot of it the movie and I had fun listening the sound effects.

The picture quality is also very good and full of details; I just wish the studio who is in charge for coloring the movie, had used Dolby Vision in the movie and the coloring of the movie would have been great; but as I said, it is also very nice.

Overall: fun movie with a great sound use.

Crisp movie, 4K quality, no problem there The story is actually almost a remake of the first terminator movie. Another woman chased by a Rev9 terminator and saved by the old gang. Not really the most original terminator.

But for the fans. good old Arnold is there :).

Didn’t expect too much from this movie maybe thinking it was coming to a long drawn out ending for the terminator series, but was pleasantly suprised at Just how good it was, Greta picture quality and super audio makes this a worthy buy for anyone’s collection very quick delivery from zavvi free as I’m red carpet subscriber well packed, would recommend movie for good action.

Not really an inspirational story, it only delivers false message and superficial values. It’s not even entertaining as a movie, in my opinion. It’s highly overrated and drags too long. Don’t waste time on it.

Do something positive for yourself or others instead of watching it.

It’s difficult to know where to begin in writing a review for this movie. It takes place during the economic depression of the 1930’s in a southern prison’s death row. Quite realistic from that stand point but then super natural powers are introduced which makes for excitement but as for my opinion not believable.

It shows several executions with the “electric chair” which were quite horrific. Having said this, it should give a prospective buyer of the movie an idea whether or not they would want to purchase it.

It is rated R due to language, violence, and sexual content. As we are basically fans of classic movies, we have never seen anything like this and have no frame of reference to compare it to. We aren’t so sure we would ever watch it again.

It was however, well written, well directed, and the acting very well done.

Problem I had was it drifted from scriptural accuracy. At the passing of the Rapture there was 3 1/2 years of peace & then the great tribulation. During Rapture the body was taken; bodies secure in Christ from Grave first and then the living Christians were caught up with them to meet Jesus in the air.

There were no bodies of raptured souls left behind. Wish they had followed scriptural truth. Obviously even in error there was a powerful message, you must believe in Jesus this moment as there is no guarantee of another moment.

This video was advertised at $9. 99 but went up to $10. 29 as soon as I clicked on item to buy it so buyers be aware of that. I recommend this movie to people of faith that have read or known about end times but have not really visualized some of the things that will happen at that time.

This movie shows explicitly the consequences the Bible speaks of. It definitely left me with something to think about. Part of the review of the movie calls it a horror flick. I guess it is if you don’t give yourself to the Lord Jesus.

I didn’t give it five stars because of one of the actors running around with a video or phone camera like a few other movies out there. It took away from the quality and the real truth of the message.

The Hollywood script is, of course, not scriptural at all, but, the gospel is there! I cannot show this movie to people who don’t know the Holy Bible because they will think the events are true. I really don’t know if I should toss it or show it to believers who obey and follow Christ.

They would understand. But I ordered it to show to lost people. Oh well.

1917 is an excellent move. The cinatopgraphy was excellent. I also bought Once upon a time in Holly. I really enjoyed. You have excellent service, value for my dollar, and the movies are currrent. I have only bought new movies from you.

“1917” definitely keeps the viewer engaged throughout the movie. Similar to “Saving Private Ryan,” the story follows two characters on a mission, and the artistry of the performance keeps the viewer on the edge of his or her seat.

I had the pleasure of seeing the movie on the big screen, which added to the intensity, but even on the smaller screen, “1917” delivers!.

I saw this movie in theaters when it came out and had to have it on DVD. It is visually stunning and a very fascinating story. George MacKay is fantastic and there are several cameos by very famous British actors (Benedict Cumberbatch, Colin Firth, etc.

) Lots of violence and some gory moments so if that bothers you, this is probably not for you.

When it comes to Guy Ritchie, I’m a love it or absolutely hate it kind of person. This movie is so incredibly good from start to finish that I’ve recommended it to anyone who would listen. The way that it backtracks to put the story together never misses a beat or becomes too confusing to follow.

And the acting, oh the acting – so spot on for everyone!.
