20 Best Mouse Pad For Carpal Tunnel (2023 Updated)

It looks pretty; however, the surface is not smooth to run the mouse. When I try to move the mouse to the right, the material covering the pad makes scratching noise and hard to move the mouse to the right.

I used a sand paper to smooth the surface. It’s inconvenient for me to return any items I buy online, so I keep this one.

This is one of the best, most comfortable and durable mouse pads that I have ever used in all my years of using a computer. It is plush and soft to the touch. I will only ever buy mouse pads and wrist rests made by Fellowes.

Very attractive, well made mouse pad. It adds class to my computer desk. The only improvement I can suggest is that it could use another inch or two in length. If I use my full size mouse on it, I need more working surface.

My compact mouse works fine on it though. It also has somewhat sticky, gel-type backing so it adheres to your desk surface to keep it from moving around during use.

Wish this product was offered in the store and not just an online item. The color on line appears darker than the actual product itself. I’ve purchased the Keyboard Pad as well to have the matching set.

Over all pleased with product. Most customers reviewed product having a mildew smell, I do not think this is the case, It just smells like new foam smell will wear off in a couple of days.

Ive been using a Fellowes mousemat for about a decade they are very good quality and this one is no exception. So why the 2 review Well, despite all the positives which I am going to list, this model has been treated with a biocidal chemical, Zinc pyrithione, trademarked as one of several chemicals under the Microban name.

When you add such a chemical to a product, youd better have a good reason as it will be sitting against your skin for many many hours of use. Simply put, I can find no evidence supporting the use of biocidal treatments on this kind of product while there is plenty of evidence that such treatments help the spread of resistant microbes.

Its a similar story with antibiotic resistance regular low doses of such biocides selectively result in resistant bugs in our workplace. Moreover, theres the admittedly slim possibility that the biocide might have harmful effects on humans perhaps some individual allergic reaction or longterm side effects that would make me want to look elsewhere.

So, sadly, I wont be recommending this otherwise very comfortable and effective mousepad. It looks smart, has excellent wrist cushioning, adheres well to smooth desk surfaces and the optical mouse I use tracks nicely on it.

But its unnecessarily treated with something that is not ecological to produce, has proven impact on antimicrobial resistance and possible side effects. Id be surprised if consumers are really asking for this on a mousemat its no substitute for regular cleaning and the existing Fellowes mousemat Ive been using is of a wipeclean plastic design that can be easily sanitised whereas this one has a woven fabric finish that catches dust and skin cells much more readily.

As a starting point for further reading on Microban and similar treatments, look up Bill Walshs Dirt on Antimicrobials article. Theres evidence on both sides of the argument but Id always adopt the preference to avoid such things unless the evidence is strong of a desired benefit.

Not one Id recommend.

I am writing about the Fellowes Microban Mousepad Wrist Support. This is my first time purchasing this item. I chose this item due to my carpal tunnel. It looked comfortable so I thought I would give it a try.

It is the most Comfortable wrist supporting mouse pad I have ever bought! I don’t hurt at the end of the day like I did with other mouse pads. It’s very soft, comfortable and it looks good on my desk! I recommend this mouse pad for anyone, but especially those of you who suffer with carpal tunnel syndrome as I do.

I had a different brand previously, but the wrist rest was very hard and painful on my wrist, and there was only a small area it covered on the mouse pad. After reading reviews for this one I bought it and extremely happy with it.

Larger surface area without taking up much desk space and the wrist rest itself is very comfortable and softer than my previous one. Highly recommended, and a great price at PB Tech as well (not even on special either!).

I wanted a smaller mouse pad and this fit the bill. I saw other reviews that commented on the small size and that’s exactly what I was looking for. The pad is a circle that is a little less than 8″ wide and 7″ high, perfect to fit on my desktop without taking up too much surface area.

The gel wrist pad area is small also but fits my wrist comfortably. Time will tell if it holds up but at one-third the price of most other gel pads, you can’t beat the value.

It’s definitely not a gel pad, sinks in after something’s been resting on it for a while, takes a long time to regain its plush form. But, if it’s a cheap, padded gel pad you want, especially if you’re only getting it as a temporary item while you wait for your real replacement gel pad, it gets the job done just fine.

I bought this recently in Feb-2022. I like the look and feel of this product. Smooth of the surface very good for this mouse pad. Satisfied

I bought this because it was the only mouse pad in the store to replace a mouse pad that does not have a wrist guard. I didn’t realize the memory foam part extended to the tracking area! Maybe it works ago with a ball mouse, but for a laser mouse it doesn’t work! So I am using the old pad over the top of it.

Can’t believe the only pad they sell in the store doesn’t have a hard tracking surface!.

This is actually my second one of these. My first one was black. stayed put on my desk, and was very comfortable for my wrist. This one, while visually being the same one, just in a different color, is not as comfortable on my wrist (it seems like there isn’t as much “stuff” in the wrist rest, or it’s slightly less firm), and it kept sliding off my desk.

I solved the sliding issue by putting a screw through the top of the pad, and through my desktop (I built the desk myself and it’s not so fancy that I had an issue with that). The screw isn’t bolted on the bottom so it allows the pad to move left and right and up and down, but it keeps it from slipping off the desk.

So would I recommend this item? I think next time I may search for a different one. The quality of this particular one seems to have went down slightly. If I didn’t find anything else I liked better, I would hesitantly repurchase this one.

I bought this for my second PC as I did not have one for the office PC. I have used one for years on my play PC. This great because it elevates your wrist which makes it very comfortable to use. I’m half tempted to buy another one to replace my old one.

I am very pleased with the arm rest and mouse pad they are comfortable and look good with the iMac. In conclusion, the Rain Design mRest pad delivers the support my wrists needs for a decent cost. Of course, you could pay more for other nifty designs and feel better about it.

I give this Rain Design mRest a five star for cost effectiveness and delivering the support I need. Oh yea, the silver mouse pad is a nice touch.

Bought this as a replacement for my other identical product as that had warped in the insane heat we’re having. Many years ago, before I first bought one of these, I thought the gel wrist rest was just a silly gimmick.

IT ISN’T. When using flat mouse pads I developed a cyst at the edge of my wrist about half the size of a golf ball – it was horrific. Since using this gel wrist rest pad that cyst has COMPLETELY gone.

If you use your PC for long periods, do not hesitate to get yourself one of these. This one especially is far superior to those ones where you just get a little block of a wrist rest in the middle. What use is that? You need it to go all the way across like this one because you don’t always move or position your wrist in the same way for every type of PC task – editing movement is not the same as gaming movement.

Immediate impressions on opening the packaging which gave me no trouble at all, so I guess theyve improved it since an earlier reviewers apparent struggle to get it open it took me five seconds, and the packaging is still intact are that it looks good, is comfortable to use, adheres well to the surface its placed on and supports the wrist nicely.

My main concern at this point is that the film covering the gel seems to be quite thin. I bought this to replace an older gel mat which had split open after a good few years of heavy use, causing me to get a sticky residue on my wrist every time I used it.

That mat seemed to have a much thicker casing for the gel this one seems to be the thickness of a balloon. Time will tell. One other thing that must have been addressed recently by the manufacturers is that there was no odour on opening the packaging.

The same reviewer who was concerned about needing a chainsaw to open the packaging also mentioned an overpowering chemical smell that filled the room. Ive had a good old sniff of mine and I cant smell anything at all, pleasant or unpleasant.

Im hoping the mat proves to be durable as I rather like it from an appearance and comfort point of view.

Ive had this mouse pad for just over a month now and I think Ive given it a good trial. On receiving the mouse pad I had high hopes, it looks well made the wrist rest feels nice and soft and the mouse glides smoothly on it.

There are 2 rather big problems with it though. 1, after using for even a short while, maybe 2030 minutes or so Ive found that my fingers start to go numb. It seems the wrist support is actually restricting blood flow and making my fingers tingle.

The second problem is the smell. Basically it stinks. And it makes your wrist and even your clothing smell if the sleeve touches the wrist support. At first I thought it might be like a new memory foam mattress and the smell would go after a short while.

Not this though. Its still making my hand smell like damp mouldy plastic after 5 weeks. Its a shame as it looks like a quality product that would last well and the mouse action is very smooth.

Completely unfit for purpose, its the only mousepad ive ever encountered that didn’t work. I had to check the website to make sure that it didn’t say that it was incompatible for optical mice, but no, it just didn’t work, my mouse wouldnt scroll on it.

When i called up to say it didnt work, the guy thought i was playing a joke, but i brought it in, and it just didnt work, no one there in store had ever seen anything like it, so they refunded me.

I am a software developer with over 20 years of experience, On early days of my career I had been using some standard mouse pads until I started feeling a pain in my wrist. Roughly 10 years ago I purchased exactly this product in colour blue.

All wrist problems gone. No miracle, just this mouse pad helped me, I am still using it but unfortunately this year a fabric covering the gel ripped off a bit slightly irritating my skin, that’s why I need to search for a replacement now, it will be the same model if I get it somewhere, not easy to find it, Amazon will be my choice.

No bad smell (obviously you need to clean it from time to time), working with a wide variety of computer mouses including many laser models, currently MS Mobile 4000. No single problem!.

I bought this pad to replace a similar one which had lasted me years. This one was fine for a couple of months until the top began to peel away from the corners, so i had to tape the edges down so i could keep using it.

However now a bubble has formed right in the middle and makes it unusable. This seems to be a common fault with this product so my advice would be to avoid.

I needed a new mouse pad. My hand and wrist resting upon it for years had worn it down and the color was almost completely gone. I could never find the exact one I had to purchase again even after looking at several sites online.

I was in Office Depot and literally walked right by where the mouse pads are. There it was! My only disappointment was that for some reason the blue style was $3. 00 or $4. 00 more than the black one.

i bought this mouse pad a few weeks ago (along with the matching keyboard wrist pad) and i have been very happy with it. the wrist pad is large enough to be supportive without being too large. my mouse moves smoothly over the pad.

I am little concerned the fabric might be difficult to clean if it becomes dirty/dusty. it has not yet been a problem. overall i am very happy with it.

I bought this for use with an Apple magic mouse, as they sacrificed adequate padding for sleek design. It drags somewhat on the mouse pad’s martial, but I can’t really blame that on Allsop. The underside of the pad is rubberized and holds its place wonderfully.

The padding is an extra bonus, although it makes for an awkward positioning of the wrist if your seat is low and your elbow is below the height of the desk. Again, this isn’t a fault of the product; sometimes I’ll simply turn the pad sideways to make it easier on my wrist.

If you wear a watch, however, the padding CAN get in the way.

This mouse pad is good but the shape could be better. The flow for laser mouse is exceptional but the shape gets in the way. The shape should be more round and oblong and the wrist pat should adhere to a more round and oblong shape.

While the pad material is very good the shape gets in the way of its performance, especially for race car games. However I would recommend it.

This mousepad looks clean, professional and also stylish. the white surface of the main pad has a slight sheen and the wrist pad is a soft leather-like material that is very comfortable to rest on. The main pad also had 5 round “feet” on the underside that keeps the pad in place on your desk.

I would highly recommend for personal or business use.

I like this mouse pad alot because when working on my computer for many hours it helps relieve the stresss on my wrist. I would definitely recommend it. it compliments my laptop’s color very well.
