20 Best Mouse For Macbook Pro 2016 (2023 Updated)

Mouse is good, software is not. Like other Win10 software (so not unique to Logitech), the installation of the Logitech software does not play nicely with multiple users on one machine. Logitech, however, has the means to address this.

The software installer should be installed via an Admin account (or with Admin permissions), and then users should be asked for which users on the machine the software should be accessible. Each Windows user should have their own profile and settings for the mouse.

(Side note: software packages and settings differences per user on Win7 and before were so much easier to handle — and both Microsoft and Logitech share responsibility for the recent poor implementation.

) For this program, as an example, settings are set per machine, per mouse, not per user. Also, there’s clearly a bug: I checked for updates while logged into my Admin account, and Logitech’s software said “All Good”.

Switched to another user account, and Logitech software reported that I needed to upgrade! The upgrade then crashed. ) Bottom line: Logitech developers need to get on the phone with Microsoft, and they together need to figure out how to fix the software installation and use across user accounts.

(And again, to be fair, other developers need to do the same thing with Microsoft — Microsoft *really* messed up cross-user software implementation after Win7. ).

I only recently bought this mouse to use with my iPad and it works perfectly! I am super impressed with the speedy Bluetooth connection and having no need to use a dongle. I was getting sick of replacing batteries when they were all used up in my mouse, so this was the perfect replacement as it is rechargeable! The scroll wheel is phenomenal, definitely the most well designed and smooth part of the mouse.

It’s perfect for scrolling and general use. The extra buttons to undo or redo are super transferable to various programs and even just to go to the previous screen in a browser. However the mouse clickers themselves are not as smooth as my gaming mouse, as well as the ease of movement on the mousepad.

I often have to pick up the mouse in order to move my cursor to the right spot while gaming and click just a little harder than I do with my other mouse. Overall those two aspects are less comfortable.

Pros: Great scrolling wheel with other features such as changing the scrolling type and undo/redo buttons for PC’s. Works well with many different products and is recharable. Easy Bluetooth connection.

Portable. Cons: Experiences with moving the mouse and using the mouse clickers is not very smooth compared to my other logitech mouse (the G305). Better suited to using with Macs or general use with browsers or documents.

I wanted to like this mouse, but I will be returning it. I would recommend going to the store to see if they have it out on display so you can get an idea if you will like it or not. I may be picky, but the scrolling experience is subpar regardless. Every time I scroll, there is a slight delay.

What also is a bummer is every time I scroll down, it will go up a line and back down, creating a jittering effect. I thought I might have just gotten a lemon, but I have seen other users have this same experience.

I might try the Master instead of the Anywhere but not been impressed with Logitech lately.

I bought this mouse primarily to use with my new MacBook Pro. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it also works with my iPad Pro. It’s a very sleek, no-frills mouse, that if not for it’s versatility, wouldn’t be anywhere near this price point.

The mouse has a good, solid feel. I was impressed with it out of the box. I appreciate that it’s rechargeable with the (currently) standard USB-Type C connector. For some reason, Apple chose to place the charging port on the bottom of the mouse, so you can’t use it while it charges.

Hopefully, the battery wont die when you’re in the middle of a project, or more importantly, a game. The price point is high, but for me, it was worth the money. Highly recommended.

This is my second one, for my other system. The Magic Mouse 2 is garbage. Apple made a critical design mistake by not having the USB Lightning cable plug in the front end of the mouse, so it would still be usable while plugged in.

If the battery dies, you’re out of luck. This mouse, the original MagicMouse 1 is far superior. You can change batteries in seconds should it die at a critical moment. If Apple ever makes a MagicMouse 3, with a usable USB 3 or Lightning cable, then it would be better, but until then, this is the best mouse you can get.

Even a hard wired MagiMouse would be better than a MagicMouse 2. I love having the touch surface on the top of the mouse. It took a little getting used to, but I can’t use any other mouse without missing my MagicMouse.

The trackpad on top of the mouse has infinite possibilities. (There are third party drivers available to expand the features. ).

I get that Apple was going for a different philosophy for mousing when they made this. But, the biggest problem is the ergonomics and the scaling. No matter how much I used this mouse, I could never get used to how this mouse scales.

It’s either way to slow when I’m moving slow or way to fast if I speed up. I spent hours trying to configure the perfect speed and scaling settings. Additionally, after using my computer for more than an hour my hand and body felt so uncomfortable.

And yes, I tried to use it the “Apple Way,” not like other traditional mice. That does make a difference as you shouldn’t be palm resting on this mouse. So if you want this mice for audio or video editing, I suppose it’s great.

But if you just your Mac as a computer for home and office3 work the just about any other mouse works better. Or, you get the Magic TrackPad. Now that’s a game changer.

I owned the previous version of the apple wireless mouse and this one works just like that. If there is a difference, I can’t tell. The first version took batteries, but this version is rechargeable.

A lightning port cable is included for charging, but a regular USB Apple charger works too. Once the mouse is connected via bluetooth, you can check the battery percentage by going to the mouse icon in system preferences.

The battery was 80%+ when it arrived over a week ago. We have been using it heavily and it’s only down 20%–which is good in my opinion. One thing to know is that you will not be able to use the mouse while charging because the port is underneath.

That may be a good thing because, in my experience, it’s very easy to overcharge rechargeable batteries which can negatively affect the battery life.

I had no problem pairing this mouse with my laptop bluetooth. It is small enough to work on the arm of my recliner with my laptop on my lap. My hands are fairly large and it fit quite well though a bit more height in the build would be perfect.

I changed batteries once. I think this was the second one I tried. Can’t remember why I had to send the first one back within the return window. The mouse stopped working after eight months which was disappointing since the price then was $10 more than it is now.

I am tryng again since it is not easy to find a reliable and enjoyable bluetooth mouse for my situation. Hopefully the next one will last at least a year and not fail much sooner as for some reviewers.

The price is better now anyhow.

The wireless mouse I previously paired with my mother’s desktop became more challenging to operate and manage. Sometimes the pairing would be continuous; other times, that mouse would restart. In addition, the power button was not easy to press, and the quality of the user experience was declining rapidly.

To alleviate everyone’s frustrations, I got on the Best Buy website and came across the Microsoft-Bluetooth Ergonomic Mouse and read the customer reviews. Immediately, I was encouraged to give this product a try.

After nearly one year after buying this product from Best Buy, there are no more frustrations. This purchase was money well spent.

Updated: So I gave this mouse another try, seems to work well. I don’t believe the mouse was causing the pain. So I changed the review back to 5 stars, would recommend this mouse as it’s very easy to use, comfortable and very easy to connect.

Build quality feel really nice, no unusual noise when using. The feel of the plastic is quite nice. The metal scroll wheel feel nice and premium. Ease of use is really easy on a Windows 10 machine with bluetooth.

Basically turn it on, Windows detects it and your off. The software works well, isn’t intrusive and is we’ll laid out. There is an option to change the DPI up to 2400. Comfort for me wasn’t what I was expecting.

I really liked the style and even some of the comfort features. For me personally, the thumb rest caused an unusual amount of pain under my thumb. If it wasn’t for that thumb rest, this would certainly be a 5 star other and I’d still be using it.

Ultimately, I had to return this as I was not comfortable when using this. I would still recommend as long as your grip isn’t like mine. I’m guessing I have a lazy claw grip and at times a fingertip grip.

I was very disappointed this didn’t work for me as it’s overall a wonderful mouse.

Logitech made a bold move in trying to reinvent the mouse form factor and I can’t say positively that it paid off. I should begin by mentioning that I have extensive experience with Apple’s input devices – i.

e. Apple Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse and Magic TrackPad and after changing jobs and going into something that required a lot more keyboard and mouse usage, I ended up switching to the Logitech MX keyboard and mouse due to the improved ergonomics that still kept with the Mac premium look and feel.

The first thing I thought about as I was unboxing this mouse, is who might this be for? I don’t know if Logitech nailed any sort of particular audience with this one. The mouse is HUGE. Too tall really to fit in my laptop sleeve and although I carry a backpack sometimes, this would take up valuable space in that too.

I concluded this is definitely something that you’d use at home or at the office but not with traveling in mind. Interestingly enough, Logitech mentions using this with your iPad but I have a Magic Keyboard for my iPad and I feel like again, somewhat that chose an iPad values portability and this is anything but.

The mouse is easy enough to pair and it features the ability to easily switch between devices like my MX keyboard. I have to say, the mouse doesn’t feel as premium as my MX keyboard. It has a weight to it that makes it feel…substantial.

And considering this isn’t something I’d travel with, I feel like maybe that was an opportunity. It’s also a stark departure from the space gray/black color scheme that the my other MX Mac accessories are finished in.

Using the mouse was an adjustment. The vertical angle does take some getting used to. And sliding it around initially felt a lot like pushing something across a ouija board. It glides just fine but it’s just a weird feeling to be using a mouse at that angle.

As weird as it sounds, when you think mouse, you think flat and there is a such thing as too flat (looking at you Magic Mouse). But I don’t know that vertical is the answer either. Logitech calls the angle a “natural handshake” position.

But I don’t think about handshaking my mouse. The other thing that came across as interesting to me during usage, was the amount of buttons on the mouse. Apple has taught us Mac users that when it comes to mice, less is more.

And to a degree I agree. Having buttons that click and wheels that scroll are more opportunities for particles to get caught or trapped in the mouse (another reason I wouldn’t travel with it) but there’s also something to be said for how seamless gestures are since we use them on all of our touch devices daily and I’d argue that at this point gestures are more natural than handshaking when it comes to Apple products.

It also means that many of these buttons will be new to Mac users, but I didn’t find myself wanting to have to setup programming thru the Logitech app on my Mac and I’d say honestly, when it came to the keyboard it made me uninstall the Logitech app because it was annoying (and distracting) to see the keyboard changes popping up on screen constantly — i.

e. when you caps lock, etc. Lastly, the improvement I would’ve made to this would’ve been using an embedded [rechargeable] battery. Batteries are one of those things that I don’t usually have what I need on hand when they go out so there’s an understated appreciation for recharge-ables that use standard cables and charges I have laying all around the house (in this case a USB-C to keep in line with my other MX’s would’ve been nice).

I do see that they put some thought into this opting to go with LE Bluetooth so the battery only needs to be replaced every 24 months but again, I feel like when this time comes I’m gonna wish it was rechargeable.

TLDR summary – it’s an acquired taste that I didn’t quite acquire with some areas for improvement – mainly recharge-able and keeping the understated simplicity in design and usage that Mac users have come to know and love in mind.

It’s an interestingly-shaped mouse and I understand what Logitech was hoping to achieve with it. Indeed, having my hand at a more natural angle felt weird at first, but eventually made sense and was comfortable.

I applaud Logitech for trying something a little new; but at the end of the day, I couldn’t really use the mouse for one critical reason that I’m surprised the designers didn’t see: I had trouble lifting the mouse.

It may just be how I use mice, but I think many people physically lift the mouse to reposition it so that the cursor can move across the whole area of a screen – and this is especially true for some of us that use ultrawide (or super ultrawide) monitors.

But this “Lift” mouse is smooth and angled such that you have to grip the bottom in order to lift the mouse – otherwise it simply slides through your hands. In practice, having to slightly change my grip for EVERY mouse reposition was incredibly awkward, uncomfortable and ironically caused strain on my hand.

Outside of this, the mouse feels well made and the buttons are incredibly quiet. My only complaint here is that I wish it had a second scroll wheel like the MX Master series. It seems like there would be plenty of room for it.

Additional bonuses: * It’s supposed to last quite a while on one AA battery. * The magnetic battery compartment was refreshing * Can connect to 3 different devices * Compatible with Logitech Bolt technology If you have a smaller screen area and don’t usually lift your mouse around, then this will probably be a much more comfortable experience once you get used to the angle.

But for me, the fact that the mouse is slippery (the grip isn’t that great using it with normal hand posture) and difficult to actually lift was. strangely ironic.

8 yr-old Dell wired mouse ‘suddenly’ died and needed replacement. PROs: — Shipped day after ordered; received 2 days after that (received 7 weeks ago). — Inexpensive — Plugged it in; Win10 Home immediately recognized it.

CONs: — Tactile feel of mouse wheel is disappointing. Doesn’t have the familiar ‘notched’ tactile feel as you roll the wheel forward & backward. Instead, there are VERY ‘soft’ & barely noticeable tactile ‘bumps’.

Conclusion: OK for the price. Does what it’s supposed to do. Will see how long it lasts.

The mouse functions okay, BUT the scroll wheel is covered in a rubber-like material (vinyl?) that will begin to break down within just a couple of years and become STICKY (like old oil residue around a kitchen stove or exhaust vent).

This makes the wheel decidedly unpleasant to touch. Cleaning with Simple Green or rubbing alcohol may reduce the stickiness temporarily, but does not seem to get rid of it entirely. For this reason, I do NOT recommend this model for businesses, schools, or other organizations with more that a few computers.

The arch of this mouse is deceptive. it’s not meant for your hand. My favorite thing about this mouse is its scroll functionality. It’s super easy to scroll vertically and horizontally, navigating websites and documents.

The clicks are manageable if you click on the corners. Otherwise, they’re too heavy. Initially, I thought it was too uncomfortable for sustained use. It’s wider at the palm than the chunky Logitech MX Master Mouse series.

However once I opened up an Excel file and began to tinker, I found myself using a paw/pencil grip– My palm didn’t rest on the arch at all. Grip: I held the mouse between my thumb and third finger, and kept it steady with my middle finger on the right click.

My pinky finger actually rested underneath the mouse, and the third finger was comfortable along its under-slant. It’s like ignoring the mouse and pointing with your index finger. I tried this mouse in both Excel and Sketchup (quick 3D modeling environment).

It’s great, but misses the middle click. Not too big of a deal in Sketchup since there’s an easily accessible tool that does the same thing. This mouse is meant to supplement a keyboard. You should only be touching the mouse when you have something to accomplish, and to that end the mouse works well.

However, the lack of extra sides buttons means that this shouldn’t be your casual or everyday mouse if you’re not already a wiz at the keyboard. It’s like Batman. Effective in a pinch, but who really wants to hang out with Batman?.

Have had this mouse a little under a year now and it did not live up to the hype or the price unfortunately. It’s very sleek and I loved folding it down to throw in my bag, but that was just not enough.

For starters, it is difficult to use. It connects to my laptop so easily (very nice with no needed USB dongle), but the functionality is not there otherwise. I’m always accidentally scrolling, especially during presentations – it’s so easy to accidentally page slides ahead.

Not great for client calls. Also, the material has gotten very grimy and covered in fingerprints – I don’t often eat at my computer and don’t have particularly greasy hands, so I’m not sure how it looks so dirty.

I would not recommend this product, despite its fancy looks and ease of connection.

This is small and feels good in the hand, as I wanted to have a second mouse to use alternatively from my bulky ergonomic one. I love the fact that you can flatten it to save the battery and arc it to turn it on.

My only problem with this one (besides the heavy price), and it’s a big one, is that you have to apply a lot of finger pressure when clicking. It creates finger fatigue and slows me down in my work because I cant click fast enough.

Also, it makes an annoyingly loud clicking sound every time press either of the flat buttons. I can’t use this mouse for longer than 30 min to an hour at a time due to the lack of ease of the buttons.

Sucks because I like everything else about it. I’m beyond my window to return too. Double sucks.

Finally – All the features of MX series with softer clicks and newer wireless tech, and improved tracking on shiny/glass surfaces! I’m already a BIG fan of the MX series, owning a full-size MX Mechanical keyboard and a separate Craft keyboard for my second workstation at my desk (for my creative work!).

I also have both an MX Master 3 and an MX Vertical mouse, and the MX Anywhere portable mouse for travel (spoiler alert, I’m a Logitech peripheral fan!). Alas, I loved the MX series, but the MX Master 3 (and the MX Master and MX Master 2 I owned before it) all suffered from very loud click sounds from the primary left and right mouse buttons.

Some people like the click, but those people aren’t married to my wife! 🙂 The MX Master 3S is the perfect companion to my new MX Mechanical keyboard – Its smoothness doesn’t disappoint. ALL of the MX Master features are here, including customizability, scrolling control (choice between stopped/clutched and smooth scrolling and compatibility with Logitech’s own receiver format, and bluetooth PCs, tablets, phones and other compute devices.

There are a few quirks as well, mostly due to a generational leap that Logitech is making across the MX series starting with the Master 3S and MX Mechanical: – This mouse is NOT compatible with Logitech’s UNIFYING receivers that they’ve been including with peripherals for YEARS now.

They have upgraded it to a new technology called Logitech BOLT which will replace UNIFYING in their lineup. BOLT has some technical advantages, such as reduced USB bandwidth and I believe better coverage/reduced latency but this will disappoint those who are only upgrading one peripheral and expected backwards compatibility with their other desktop components.

BOLT is the new UNIFYING at Logi, but you’ll need to upgrade everything to take advantage. BOLT devices can’t work with a UNIFYING receiver, and UNIFYING compatible devices won’t work with a BOLT receiver.

Its a lose-lose on compatibility. Thankfully Bluetooth is Bluetooth and supports all, but if you use the receivers, you’ll need two to support mixed old/new standards. – Just as with the hardware, the software is being replaced also- Gone is support for Logitech Options, the keyboard and mouse customization software for the rest of the MX series, to be replaced by Logitech Options+, which gets nary a mention on their Options website.

I spent about 30 minutes troubleshooting how I had the latest version of Options and STILL couldn’t see my MX Master 3S in its configuration screen. The good news here is that Options+ DOES support many of the older MX series items also, so upgrading to it in a mixed estate should be no problem.

All in all this is a generational change, which will delight some and infuriate others, but I’m so happy to have this device, as well as the rest of the EXCELLENT MX Series, in the stable. I loved it so much I went out and added an MX Mechanical to the set (which I will review separately) just to have everything on my station on BOLT and Options+ and to take advantage of its improvements.

The new MX Series devices are worthy of the name!.

Logitech’s MX Master 3s mouse represents the pinnacle of the MX series mice. It offers refinement in materials, buttons, noise, connectivity, and ergonomics that set it apart from its predecessors. As a long time fan of the MX series this mouse tops the Master/Performance series by a good margin.

First of all, I’ll lead with the fact that Logitech has gone a long way to making their packaging more environmentally friendly. Practically all the packaging was made of cardboard that’s easily recyclable instead of the “I’m going to cut you” plastic of yesteryear.

I appreciate this movement, and it means I can recycle or keep the box. The mouse itself feels even more durable and the materials in use feel like this mouse will last a good long while. While it does not include a user serviceable battery, I can attest that my 10 year old Performance MX can hold enough charge to be useful to this day, so I’m not concerned about this mouse becoming e-waste.

Now, a few things to know about this mouse: It’s a continuation of the original MX Performance mouse, but really it’s a reimagined MX Master 3. The Master 3s adds a new 8K sensor, super quiet buttons and an even quieter scroll wheel without messing with the existing ergonomics and connectivity already associated with the MX Master 3.

If you have a Master 3, you may not want to upgrade, but if you’re an OG or Master 2 mouse user, this is a worthy upgrade for sure. Included in the box is a Bolt receiver which can be used with the first channel, and the other two channels can use Bluetooth (or another receiver).

Finally a USB-C to USB-A cable is included for charging. Speaking of charging, Logitech claims 3 hours of use from a single minute of charging. 70 days is possible from a full charge. While I can’t verify those claims, almost a week of use hasn’t dented the battery significantly.

USB-C charging means this guy is pretty universally chargeable. One thing I noticed is that it didn’t seem to be able to operate as a wired mouse when plugged in (and no receivers or connections). If you’re new to the MX Series, what really sets these mice apart is the scroll wheel.

Designed to be able to flick through an Excel spreadsheet at lightning speed (Logitech claims 1000 lines per second), the free spinning scroll wheel was an experiment that really did catch on with those that adopted the performance MX.

Originally a click in on the scroll wheel would change between free scrolling and clicky, but the later Master mice swapped to an automatic trigger (although the button right behind the wheel swaps modes).

If you scroll with enough force, the clicky scrolling gives way to free scrolling. The MagSpeed scroll wheel is unique and functional. This, combined with the larger shape, and plethora of buttons is what made the MX Performance/Master mice popular amongst business/software professionals.

With the MX Master a horizontal scroll wheel was added, and this eventually turned into a more prominent feature. While some pros do use the horizontal scroll wheel to move about in their enormous excel spreadsheets, I love Logitech’s Options+ software.

Not only can I set the primary feature to be volume control, in which the horizontal scroll wheel’s heavy weighted feel is quite natural at, but the software also installs profiles: for instance in chrome, I can simply swap tabs using the horizontal scroll wheel, or use it for zoom in a powerpoint presentation.

Another big feature that’s unique to the MX series is the darkfield sensor. While Logitech has dropped the marketing wording around it, it’s still quiet the achievement in laser technology. The ability to track on glass is still not the most universal feature, and this mouse basically will track on any surface pretty accurately.

The big differentiator for the 3s is the quiet click buttons. It delivers its promise. While being nearly inaudible, the buttons still maintain a satisfying click feel. Logitech made sure every button had this feel, which is a nice touch.

The thumb base button also feels quite soft. I was impressed that button included gestures for multi-tasking that map very naturally into Windows 10/11 and Mac OS. Speaking of, the Logitech MX Master 3s fits right in a Mac environment.

Logitech Options+ software works well on both Mac and Windows and enables things like Flow, which can transfer text, images, and even files between computers. It even allows swapping between computers by moving the mouse to the edge of the screen.

Logitech has really done an amazing job nailing the software, as Flow is super slick. Overall the MX Master 3s is a refinement upon several refinements. I’ve long been a fan of these mice, and despite what some may say, I’ve successfully played twitch shooters on these mice for years to great effect.

The ability to trace anywhere is one of my favorite features. I’ve been a long time user of the smaller Anywhere MX series, but this full size MX feels more natural than any of the other full size MX mice I’ve used in the past (Performance MX, Master MX).

For productivity, it’s hard to imagine a better mouse. Logitech continues to deliver the best mice in the industry.

An optical mouse is nothing new for any of us in 2023. Even wireless mice are probably considered old school by now. So, why is this the better option than what you already have? Ultimately, this does what every other mouse does, but just a little bit better.

It comes with a few extra buttons (and wheel) which are very easy to customize with the downloadable software. In particular, I really appreciate the sun wheel that sits directly below your left some along with the included back/forward buttons.

You can customize any of these buttons to whatever keystroke you’d prefer, but I find the default settings to be perfect for me. Assuming you are right handed, this may be the most comfortable mouse I’ve ever used.

Tracking is fast and very precise, and while it is not marketed as a gaming mouse, it seems more than adequate for that application, as well. Compared to my wired “gaming mouse“, I really can’t discern a difference (although I am admittedly not a hard-core, third person shooter, kind of guy)….

Wireless performance is seamless, as would be expected. One of the nice features of this particular mouse is that it can be connected either via Bluetooth or using the wireless dongle connected to a open the USB port.

I can’t discern any particular latency with either option. It does have a onboard memory that will remember multiple devices, so it is easy to switch use from your desktop to a laptop, for example. Wow this does have some nice bells and whistle‘s, ultimately what matters is whether or not it functions as you would expect.

As already stated, for me this mouse is a solid improvement over my prior pointing device, and just seems a bit more polished in every way. For something that we use for probably 75% (conservative estimate) of our computer interaction – which for many of us can be several hours a day – this is more than a worthwhile investment.

Two thumbs up!.

I used to recommend this mouse, but now I recommend looking for something other than Logitech. I had two of these wireless mice (one of another model) where the inferred light sensor starts to get weak after a few years of use, resulting in poor tracking and the cursor moving much slower than it should.

Cleaning the sensor with compressed air and replacing the batteries did not help improve tracking, so I decided to buy a new one. While the new one was an improvement, the precision of the cursor is very poor.

Moving the mouse slowly results in very little movement of the cursor, making it difficult to precisely hoover/move the cursor in a particular spot. Moving the mouse a little bit faster sends the cursor flying across to the other end of the screen.

Changing the mouse settings in the Windows control panel and later Logitech SetPoint did not yield in any improvement. The scroll wheel is also atrocious as well. It’s too sensitive and has too much play in it.

I can’t remember how many times I’d be scrolling or zooming and all of a sudden it would briefly change direction because my finger barely brushed over the top of the wheel while reaching for the other end.

Also, even though the wheel is “clicked” into place, gently rocking it back and forth without it clicking over will sometimes cause scroll to activate and shimmy whatever is on the the screen. The unifying receiver is about the only thing good about these mice, due to its compact size and the ability to pair other Logitech devices.

Great for portable systems. Unfortunately, no one else makes a receiver similar to this, which was the reason why I decided to go with a Logitech mouse again and not with someone else. I use a single receiver along with a Logitech K750 keyboard, also starting to present problems as well, and it’s very convenient.

Otherwise, Logitech’s QC needs to be stepped up drastically. An OEM optical mouse tracks and scrolls better, where the M510 operates like an old fashion ball mouse with debris built up on the rollers.

I purchased the kit with the K350 keyboard and the M510 mouse about a year ago. Best Buy said it would work on a Chromebook minus some of the speciality keys. For the first 6 months it worked great. Then the mouse started sticking then jumping and the keyboard did nothing when typing then a string of letters would appear.

Called tech support, told them I was using it on a Chromebook and what it was doing and they replaced it with another set. This set worked fine for 3 or 4 months then started doing the same thing. Called again, told them it was being used on a Chromebook, and they replaced just the keyboard this time.

That was yesterday. Got it hooked up and it was working great last night, both the old mouse and the new keyboard. This morning I replied to an email just fine and the next one it quit working again.

Called again, this time after a lengthy conversation and trying several things she informed me that the problem was this keyboard and mouse don’t support Chrome. Okay, then why did they work? Well, there must have been an update to the Chromebook.

Okay, but there were no updates to it between last night and this morning. No real answer, just that it won’t work and I need to get a different mouse and keyboard. Before blowing more money I thought I’d look into it a bit.

I honestly haven’t gotten to the keyboard yet but, this website in comparing it to the M720 state that compatibility is only macOS, Windows but up above under Plug and Play Simplicity it states Plus, it’s a certified Works with Chromebooks™ product.

So, which is it? No wonder the mouse and the tech are confused. This is the company web site and it’s confused. Right now I’m typing this with the new keyboard as it will work then stop and the mouse is working as well.

I’ve used Logitech products for over a decade and always been happy but this has been a pain. The low score at this point is shared by the product and the company.

Love, hate, then love again, and then dislike some things but still like it overall. This is one of the strangest but coolest mice (mouses?) I’ve ever had. It is actually really small, which makes it uncomfortable at times, it takes quite some time to get used to it in every way.

For example, your pinky finger doesn’t have a resting place, so your hand will actually get tired after prolonged use – this doesn’t last forever, but still. Yet it being so small is nice because it looks sleek, it can fit anywhere nicely, it’s made out of a nice material to touch, and best of all, the snapping is just nice.

The three finger middle mouse button function is not perfect but at least is there. For 3-D software or game design it’s not the most precise way to do middle finger, and sometimes it registers it as a right click, but again, it is there, and you put up with it because of the other nice things of it.

Overall I would NOT recommend this mouse at regular price, but I definitely recommend it if you can get it on sale or price-matched.

I bought this mouse to go with my new Surface Pro 8, and really I was just afraid to buy a new PC without a mouse because I just. I mean, I’ve ALWAYS had a mouse with my past laptops. This mouse is nice.

If you’re looking for portability, you can’t get better. It folds up FLAT. And is highly pocketable. Ergonomics are ok. It’s serviceable, but I wouldn’t be gaming with this mouse or anything. Funny story.

with the Pro 8’s great keyboard / track pad and touch screen. I don’t really find myself using the mouse as often as I thought I would. I still like it. But don’t feel like I really needed to buy it at the end of the day (to go with the Pro 8 and keyboard attachment).

If you want a mouse you can fold up and put in your pocket, buy it. I think you’ll like it. If I had ONE gripe, it’s that it’s difficult to ‘collapse’ the mouse for storage without clicking the buttons and causing interactions on the PC.

Once it’s collapsed, the buttons are disabled. So it’s a minor inconvenience (that honestly is quite manageable). The price is also a bit high. But I said I’d only take one gripe. That would be two.

In general, an improvement to their previous generation grey Arc Touch or ltd edition Surface Bluetooth mouse. A few changes have been introducedHaptic feedback has now been removed and in its place is a trackpad type feature which means you spend less time dithering between keyboard trackpad and mouse.

Haptic feedback can sometimes be useful, but the previous Arc Touch mouse proved sometimes cumbersome when browsing lengthy webpages or documents that you speed read through. The touchpad feature offers more of a usability upgrade whilst sacrificing the distinct leftright separate buttons of the Arc Touch predecessor.

Would be even better if they incorporated trackpad gestures, ie pinch for zooming, or 3 finger swipe for screen grabbing, or twist scrolling by gesturing continuous clock or counter clockwise circles.

As far as Im concerned, only Logitechs MX Masters dual function scroll wheel comes close to being the perfect approach for mouse scrolling. Bluetooth stability is better on this newer unit, with drastically reduced instances of dropped connections.

Shape has changed a little, it now has parallel sides which means you need to unlearn the way you held the previous Arc Touch upper square which took a while to learn how to grip to counter the awkward lower tapering where your palm cups the lower half of the mouse.

This is the reason mispressing rights for left clicks with this new item. Its irritating at first but soon becomes a nonissue once you make a conscious effort to acclimatise to the new ergonomics. Theres a better snap action when opening or closing on this one, it feels more positive but its not a game changer.

On the whole once I got used to it I think it is an improvement over the previous generation product. The only concern I have is durability. The finish on the previous Arc Touch looked tatty after less than a year, the rubberised lower cover started looking like a female pensioner on a prolonged suntan holiday in Miami, all wrinkly and having seen better days.

Also the painted greysilver upper had dulled and flaked away, hopefully this new product has had an improvement to the quality of plastics in use, time will tell. Price is a little steep, but thats Microsoft getting wiser to the appeal of chic portable tech.

Wish they could use similar tech to Logitechs laser optics which track on glass and perhaps introduce an improved battery indicator. Otherwise, all good with the new Arc.

Really love the concept of using disgusting ocean plastic to make new consumer products. I’m hoping one day it will be 100% disgusting ocean plastic instead of 20%. Mouse functions okay. Occasionally it looses its Bluetooth 5.

This is a very basic and to-the-point mouse which gets the job done well enough. It lacks many features but makes up for that in excellent battery life and overall usability, it’s comfortable when grasping and is somewhat small.

Another thing to note is that it uses materials from recycled ocean plastic.

Quality tools are worth the investment. I tried numerous cheap mice (mouses?) from the large online retailer but they failed for one reason or another. It seemed any fall off the desk or couch arm rest caused them to either come apart or stop working properly.

My rational was that they were cheap enough to just replace them every few months. I picked this up while at BB while getting something else and I am glad I did. A year later, it has fallen or been dropped a few times it still works like new.

I was a bit wary of a replaceable battery, but find that it has extraordinary battery life. It seems to last much longer than that in the rechargeable cheapo devices. A minor additional feature: The connection via Bluetooth is something I have not seen before.

I got this for my wife when I bought her a new Windows 11 laptop. The touch pads on laptops tend to be finicky and my wife was finding it frustrating. The new Windows 11 laptops have very few USB ports.

Therefore I was looking for a wireless mouse that would work on the laptop’s native blue tooth. I was happy I could get a mouse in a “pretty color” for my wife. The mouse works exceptionally well. As soon as she put the battery in the mouse, the computer immediately found it.

I use this at work as a Receptionist/Admin and I do a lot of typing. This mouse is absolutely fantastic and the battery life is great- I only need to charge it about once every 3 weeks, and the grip is so comfortable and the mouse glides effortlessly over my mouse pad.

Purchased this mouse back in August 2021. Does not have much features like other high end mouses but this budget mouse gets the job done. The feel to this mouse and the quality build of this mouse is great and overall it is great for everyday use and easy to travel with on the go.

I personally use this for my iMac since I run Windows 11 on it currently and I have to say all I had to do was plug the receiver into the computer and battery into the mouse. I have to say the setup process was very easy and fast with no software required.

I have to say overall that this mouse is small but it gets the job done and fits well for what I do on a everyday basis.

Pros: I love the sleek design on the mouse. It looks beautiful and feels very nice to touch. I also like the ‘click’ that it gives when pressed. It is very responsive and easy to use even completing photo editing as well as general laptop useahe.

There is a small on off switch at the bottom of the mouse which is handy to conserve battery which lasts forever. I have not charged it since the initial charge and it has quite a lot of use, not sure on battery life as it hasn’t ran out but it has been a few months now! The mouse is extremely light weight which is great for portability mine comes out to around 99 grams.

Making it ideal for on the go. The mouse can also be customised and completely different commands by using the mouse app on the screen which i did to change the left / right click option. Cons: There are two minor faults with the mouse.

Firstly it comes with the lead which is USB to Apple adapter but this does not fit into the laptop which is usb-c, only minor but if you don’t have a usb plug you will need to take this into consideration the charging port is also on the underneath.

The second is that it feels very different to another mouse it it quite low and can be a little more difficult to get used to so for a whole day would be little strained.

I enjoy the accessibility of gestures on the mouse, but Im not sure if that feature is available on other mouses. The pros of the mouse tend to end there, however. I found it to be too slim. Its possible my hands are simply too large for its intended audience, but assuming I dont have gargantuan hands it just doesnt seem to line up well with my fingers and palm.

I would prefer if the arch of the overall shape was a bit broader. Its simple to adjust the sensitivity of the mouse (and the trackpad) and I like that its built in to the MacBook and easy to find and access.

Pairs well and quickly. Battery life is pretty solid, though I dont have much of a comparison to judge it against. It suits me fine. Which leads to the charging port placement. The fact that its on the bottom annoys me to no end.

Its not that I intend to use it while charging, its just that I have to sit here and stare at this flipped turtle on its back while its charging. When I think of Apple I think of ease of use and elegance.

This isnt very elegant. I would prefer to raise the arch and place it on the back, or side. And once you do that you can allow it to charge while using it if you feel so inclined. The MSRP is a bit absurd given the simplistic nature of the mouse.

I certainly wouldntpay full price for it. Id have to sit and consider paying half price. Pros: Gestures are great. Cons: Literally everything that constitutes a mouse.

This is a cool mouse. So stylish and good looking. I remember being very happy when I bought the first one, to replace the Mighty Mouse that came with an iMac. The track ball, (remember those?) got dirty as hell and it made ‘the mighty’ almost impossible to use.

The new one was track ball free. You just touched the surface and it recognized one or two finger. That first generation of Magic Mouse used batteries that had to be replaced every few weeks, depending of how much use you gave the mouse.

I also came with rechargeable batteries and a charger. This mouse was a step forward for Apple, but to me it now seems pointless after having a Magic Trackpad. I’m sure there’s still fans. They even now made it in space gray.

But the worst thing about the Magic Mouse, and I really dislike it, is the way you’re suppose to recharge the now non removable battery. You need to literally stop using it while charging. That’s very inconvenient.

Dear Apple, what were you thinking?.

I’ve been a fan of Satechi products for a while and this mouse is no exception. It feels like $60-$70 dollar mouse with it’s aluminum build. It has a nice little heft to it to make it not feel cheap.

The clicks are solid and have a nice deep tone. The Mouse wheel feels great. It’s not as good as Logitech mag tech, but feels sturdy and precise. However I have one minor complaint about it. To keep the slim profile the scroll wheel is very close to feeling flush with the click buttons, I wish it was slightly more raised to give it a more distinct feel, but this is a completely minor gripe.

Nice physical design but Mac users beware-it does not work with older macs, including 2018 in some cases. Worked with my 2013 MacBook Pro until an update, which could mean Apple has rendered it inoperable, and it may again work after another update.

Until then am back to a wired mouse. Again is a nice mouse, just not able to connect with the computer today. I also tried it wired, and I don’t know if that should work because there is not much info on it.

No manual online, just a one page sheet on pairing. Nothing about how to know when it needs charging, how long that takes, or how to know when it is done on their website. Not giving out instructions is another reason for the low rating, but it isn’t as big an issue.

Does not work with iPads according to their site.

Using it with an M1 Macbook and it’s a great experience so far. No connection issues, however the Mac needs to find it a a Bluetooth device – it won’t spot it as a wireless mouse. And sometimes there are charging issues – the mouse won’t charge despite being hooked overnight.

But as it’s great at working for weeks on a single charge this is a very minor inconvenience. Happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend it.

good mouse if you own apple products. nice design but it is not ergonomic. don’t buy this mouse if you are a gamer o some activity that requires you to use it several hours a day. it is fine for office and productive use.

touch control is the main reason why you would want to get this mouse, you really don’t need to use the trackpad, you can control zooming, scrolling and clicking from the mouse. it is very precise and battery lasts forever.

I don’t really care for this mouse honestly. The edges are sharp against my hands and the click is quite loud and annoying. The one option that I do enjoy is the scrolling with the fingertip. In reality I really wouldn’t buy this thing again.

Im quite disappointed at apple with the over all design of this mouse as it is not comfortable at all but it does function well. If you forget to shut it off it does not sync back up to bluetooth right away and you have to turn it off and back on again.

Great mouse, but not for everyone Who this mouse is for: People who appreciate easier, faster, and more fun operations on their Mac. Who to stay away from: Users should primarily have their Mac for gaming.

I like it: First of all, it must be said that I see the mouse more as a mouse / trackpad hybrid. I like to navigate between music, documents and images by stroking the mouse. It is very intuitive and a lot of fun.

The battery life is great, the design is stunning. Even small half-life games can be mastered with it. Not so good: the mouse charging port is at the bottom. It is not possible to charge and use at the same time.

However, this is due to the design. Bottom line: if you’re a Mac user and only use it very rarely, go for it. Hope you found my review helpful.

The driver recognized the model of the mouse, and even showed it in it’s actual color. The BlueTooth wireless connection has been rock solid, and cursor movements have always been smooth. Really like the thumb rest on this mouse.

Great if you are right handed. My hand never gets tired using it. Unlike some, the mouse has an ON/OFF switch to spare battery life when not in use. Also has the ability to switch between three different BlueTooth pairings, so that it can be used with different devices at different times without losing the pairing settings.

Looks like a Dell mouse, feels like a Dell mouse and behaves like a Dell mouse so it’s probably a genuine Dell mouse!

It’s still early days but it feels comfortable in my palm and is working as it should .

This is a cool little mouse but honestly I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s not ergonomic so you hard can hurt if using this for extended periods of time. Plus the touch scroll wheel is glitchy at times. Most of the time it works great but the rest of the time it fails to work or goes into the cursor scroll mode.

I think this is made for people with limited space in there bag I guess. It easy to pack and takes little space. It is cool how it collapses but would be better if it was BlueTooth capable too! That way you don’t bother with a wireless dongle.

Bought it because it was on sale and saw they had a returned one, cheap. It’s cool, but this is hyped up more than it should be. The “curved flex” from the mouse only rests in one position. I was hoping I could adjust it to better fit my hand but you cannot.

Another setback is you are unable to click on the scroll wheel, which is a drawback for me because I frequently use that specific button on any other mouse very often. It’s design is cool and I like that you can snap it open to turn it off for convenience and storage.

The scroll feature works much better than I thought it would. It’s pretty good at keeping up with movements and clicks but not perfect. I probably would not buy it again but overall it is a decent product.

After having the Surface for a few months, I decided that having a mouse would be a good addition to the kit. I’m very satisfied with my purchase. I happened to find an open box deal on top of a sale that Best Buy was running.

Having the Arc Touch mouse has been all I had hoped for. Was easy to pair with the Surface, is very responsive and when you flatten it, the mouse turns off to help preserve the battery. The mouse has a good feel.

In my opinion the purchase was well worth it.
