What a great back pack! Comes with rain cover and a zippered pocket for the helmet net. Nicely tucked away. Love the zippered pouches on the waist straps. Perfect for phone and cash or anything you need quick access to.

Expandable space in the main compartment. Really just a great bag with so many awesome little features. You can adjust the strap height even. I use mine for EUC riding and it’s excellent for it. A bit of a hard outer shell which will save my back.

Just love it!.

You just need it for your everyday ride. The size is decent for going to work with your laptop and your lunch. So comfortable! Better than the Ogio Mach 3 that I have before and lighter for sure! All the features you get also it’s what every rider on a daily basis is searching for!.

The bag is great for riding. However, if you need a backpack to be a bit more functional than just the driving to work it may not be optimal. I travel for a living. I have the larger Ogio/Dainese backpack as well.

Bought this one to reduce how much junk I could carry. I had the Ogio version of this bag many years ago as well. So this is not a “this bag sucks” review. I do like the bag. If I did not travel via plane 3 weeks out of the month and only used it for driving my Duc to the office, it would be almost perfect.

I did get the red version this time. The appearance is great and it does match well with the Ducati/Dainese leathers I have. It stands out from the pack in red. I’m a big guy, think linebacker. It is easy to get on and off.

No comfort issues what so ever. There are downsides for me. 1. There are no quick access points on the outside of the bag. 2. There is not a handle to go over the handle of your rollaboard bag. So you either keep it on your back all through the airport or try to wrap the chest strap around your carryon handle.

3. The one kind of quick-access pocket is stupidly small. It fits my Jabra ear pods and little more. Certainly not my cell phone. 4. Inside the bag has a very limited structure. It would have been nice to have a few true pockets inside to organize your gear.

I did buy the Dainese technology organizer, LOL, hold very little. But does help since everything is in one big open cavern. 5. The laptop area is small. Not an issue for me as I have a small laptop.

I carry a Microsoft Surface and an iPad (9″) at the same time with no issue. Now if you have a gaming laptop, look away. All in all, I like the bag. I’m certainly not sending it back. Not sure it will be my everyday bag.

I anticipate going back to my Dainese D-Gambit every day and this for once in a while.

It is a nice pack, great upgrade over the Mach 1 and is also nicer than the standard Ogio Mach 3. Has a gorgeous rain cover with the Dinase Demon (reflective), helmet strap as well. Dinase font on the front straps, back logos and font, as well as Dinase interior.

It is missing (from the mach 5 which is cheaper) expandable inner +4L, waist strap pouch.

Beyond being stylish and excellent quality, a lot of thought has gone into this backpack. it ticks all the boxes of what a biker needs. It has provisions for a hydration pack, a helmet carrying net, pockets for keys/wallet/cell phone etc which are accessible without taking the pack off your back.

Its quick tightening/loosening straps around the waste are awesome. it has great padding on the back section making it very comfortable. its expansion zip gives you a lot more room if you need it. dedicated space for your sunnies and even space for your laptop.

Also even its own raincoat is included. Of course the all important logo of the A-stars brand makes it extra, extra cool and wins the envy of your riding buddies. Extra STOKED at my purchase, it joins everything else A-stars that i have, leathers and road boots, mx boots and kit, gloves, faster riding shoes, caps, t-shirts, short sleeve button up shirts.

i would buy A-stars underpants if i could!!!.

There’s plenty of great reviews of the Alpinestars Tech Aero backpack but they are for the older model. The new model did away with many of the features that made the reputation of the model. The helmet carrier is no longer secured with clips and adjustable straps but rather tiny plastic hooks on elastic fabric and flimsy string loops.

The rain fly attaches with toggles and loops that look like they could tear out from just a sturdy gust of wind. The quick release strap is now just a tab on the adjustment buckle with “quick release” printed on it, it is neither quick nor a release.

Fewer internal pockets, no more chest rig, and no more cable slot in the top pocket. This new model is a big step down and is not worth it’s price.

If you have large shoulders, because of the way the shoulder straps are mounted to the backpack, it will not fit you right and the shoulder straps will tilt themselves so much above your shoulders that the backpack will look ridiculous on you, as it does on me.

It’s a very nice backpack, I only regret the purchase as it is not definitely for my body type (1. 87m, 100Kg).

I purchased my bag about 4 years ago. I ride my bike to work about 60% of the time. I have used this backpack for going to gym, errands and carrying things to work. When I go to the gym I can fit a pair of shoes, a pair of flip flops, shorts, t-shirt, socks, underwear and full size towel, water bottle, sanitizing wipes, combo lock, and a very full bag of toiletries.

I have nothing negative to say about it. I thought the thing would have fallen to pieces by now. Holding up well and still water resistant after all these years. all the clips, straps and zippers still work.

I will buy again if I ever need too.

After visiting a motorcycle store to check out backpacks it’s a real shocker to find out how expensive they are. When I stumbled onto this bag at Walmart I was pleased with it immediately. It has two side pockets for water bottles or thermos, a front zip pocket, another zip pocket on the top flap which is nice to use for convenient storage and easy access.

There is a chest strap in the front. The inside of the bag is actually quite spacious and you can really stuff it to the brim since it has a cinch to close it and the flap straps can be loosened all the way and snap over the top.

In fact I have often times bought eggs and set them on the top and they have never once broke as of yet. I ride my motorcycle everywhere between work and school and home so this bag has been a worthy investment to help me carry everything I need.

It slides over the sissy bar and has an upper and lower strap that secures real nicely. I never had to take off my back cushion. Previously I used to carry a backpack on my shoulders while riding and this caused fatigue and discomfort, especially in the heat, so having this bag improves my riding experience ten-fold.

I have owned mine for over two years and it has been well used and no stitches have come out, no broken zippers, no holes. It is well made and is a little water resistant, but from my experience, I would ziplock my socks and such in heavy rain.

The reflective strips on the bag help improve safety so you can be seen more easily from the rear. I really like the color and helps complement my bike rather than detract from its look. Hands down best motorcycle backpack for your money!.

Road my motorcycle to Walmart to pickup some stuff and picked up some bungee cords to strap the items I purchased down to my passenger seat then noticed this backpack on the shelf near the bungee’s. I picked it up and checked it out to find the price was very reasonable at only 35.

00! Bought it and filled it with my purchased items, strapped it securely to my sissy bar and headed home on a 40 mile return trip. When I got home everything was in place snug and secure. Opened it up to inspect it some more to find all kinds of cool storage space with plenty of velcro pockets, buckles and even a strap with a quick release fastener for keys, small flashlight or anything you want to clip on for quick and easy removal.

It also will adapt to fit a water flat pack like hikers/bikers use! I must say I am very happy and pleased with my purchase! I am even thinking about selling some of them on my website due to the quality and low price! You cannot go wrong with purchasing one of these so get you one today and go riding!.

While the reviews on this pack are pretty much all positive, I don’t think it can be understated how nice this pack is. I bought the pack after selling my American Kargo Trooper (really nice, built like a tank and comfy, but actual carrying capacity is limited).

In between, I had bought a 3-day tactical style pack to carry work clothes and laptop. While the tactical pack has its purpose, I found it to be too much pack for the bike most of the time. Hence where I got the itch to try the Easy Range.

It looks slim and narrow in the images and in the review video, and it really is. I had planned on using it as a pack I could wear on weekend rides or short trips to carry extra stuff. What I found was that it could definitely become my commuting pack.

The expanding feature is really amazing when you consider the profile of the bag. I can fit my 14″ Macbook inside and velcro it down in the laptop sleeve. With the expansion gusset, it’ll take the laptop, a pair of size 11 dress shoes, pants and button down shirt, plus gloves and portable charging pack.

And that doesn’t even really stress it – I could add base layers and toiletries for an overnight trip if I packed right. Any more than that, and stuff is going in a tail bag anyway. The Trooper could barely hold the shoes and clothes in its main compartment, and with a laptop and water bladder it got super heavy.

The volume of the Givi may seem limited but it’s set up so well and gets the absolute most out of the design. No, there aren’t a ton of pockets. The waist strap tends to ride a little high on me. There’s no compartment for a water bladder (which I don’t need).

But man it holds everything you’d need for a trip to the office or an overnighter, and does it in a good looking, durable package too. No qualms about the quality at all – fit and finish is top of the line.

At $65, it’s unbeatable for a small pack. Compared to $100 and up for the Icon Squad 3 or Kreiga R20 (both probably great), it’s unbelievable.

A really well designed backpack. Comfortable, with some useful features.

I’ve had this backpack for almost two years and it’s one of my most used items that I’ve bought. The inside is big enough to put in my notebook (I put it in the pocket) that I jot down notes on what I’ve learned or need to remember for my lessons, plus a few water bottles and a sweater; I often take out the sweater to wear and stuff my purse in there and zip it up without problem.

On the outer side zip pocket, I often keep extra bobbies or a very small, tidy sewing kit in case one of the buttons falls off my show coat. I do often wish this pocket was a bit easier to access as the top can get in the way, but it does work for the purpose I use it for.

The water bottle pocket does hold a regular sized 16. 9 fluid ounce bottle of water, although you may have to fight with it sometimes and it is easier to get one of the smaller bottles in there. I wish this pocket had a drawstring over elastic so getting bottles in and out was easier.

If your bag is very full, the helmet cover has snaps so you can unsnap the cover, place your helmet in and snap the cover on and adjust as needed. It’s very secure. There is also a mesh pocket underneath the helmet so you can put something like a lint roller there to get sand and fuzzies off of your coats which is what I use that pocket for.

My biggest challenge with this bag is where you keep the crops; the Velcro likes to undo itself, but I’m sure this is more a function of the fact my Velcro is very dirty and needs a simple cleaning. It does hold many crops at once which is quite nice.

My favorite pocket is the very deep, hidden pocket along the top. Many people will like this pocket for their cell phones or music devices, but I love this pocket for my gloves. It can hold two pairs easily.

I keep one pair in there, plus a sandwich size bag of peppermints in there so I give my horse a job well done treat after each lesson and a pencil. This bag is incredibly roomy and better yet, easy to clean.

Very much a staple for me.

First of all, the flap to hold the helmet, while great is not durable at all. One snag on polos velcro and done. I also am disappointed about the inside of the backpack. I like the smallish mesh pocket inside, but wish there was more! I appetite the big open space for coats etc.

but there are no real small pockets or nooks and crannies to put small things other than the the top pocket! If Grand Prix were to redesign the backpack, I would hope they add more small pockets on the inside, and make the water bottle pocket a little bigger.

It does fit small water bottles but nothing else really.

The backpack itself is amazing. Lots of compartments and room. The water bottle slot is fairly small and can only fit a regular plastic water bottle. However, after only have the backpack for 3 weeks the straps started ripping.

After 4 weeks, I can’t even use the bag anymore. Not much weight was ever put into the bag. Complete waste of money.

I was pleased with the service and delivery time but somewhat disappointed in the quality of the product. The first time I pulled on the rawhide laces to tighten the bag on the ***** bar both laces broke (apparently old leather).

Then I noticed that the seams were beginning to separate where straps are attached to bag. Apparently old stock or just cheap “leather’. On clearance for $59. 95. I guess you get what you pay for. It does hold a lot of stuff though I didn’t use the expanded part.

I ordered these bags for my 84 Honda shadow, they shipped the same day and arrived on time. As soon as I got them I stuffed my leather coat, chaps, vest and another vest in the main bag and still had a little more room for something else without unzipping the expansion zipper.

I then put 2 small blankets and a hammock in the roll bag and attached that to the main bag and mounted it on my bike and went for a ride. They mounted real easy over the ***** bar and the extra straps made it simple to secure it down.

They look awesome and it was real fun to set the cruise and lay back against the bag and put my feet up, it was like sitting in my recliner. The bags are built very well and the stitching seems very sturdy, I feel very safe having these bags attached to the back of my bike.

The bags also have an inner lining that will help protect against the weather. The only problem that I had was the rain cover bag was not in the package, I called about this and was informed the manufacturer for some reason had a momentary lapse of quality control and the rain cover bags are being shipped out as soon as they receive them.

In short, good quality bag at an affordable price, I definitely will recommend these bags.

Fast shipping as aways from teammotorcycle! Unbelievable price for this LEATHER BAG. Works great on my sissybar in either direction. Can remove round duffle bag and just use large bag if so desire. I too took a hint from other reviewers and bought a plastic trash can that fits inside the large bag to help it retain it’s shape whether full or empty.

Also the small zipper pockets (4 of them. 2 on each side of the large bag). I made them retain their shape by cutting the plastic motor oil quart containers I use and cleaning them. Cut them to fit and place one in each of the 4 zipper pockets and they retain their shape and look great.

For the round duffle on top of the bag I bought a cheap plastic refrigerator ice bucket (the retangluar shaped ones that come in old style refrigerators. and put it the duffle so it also has a hard bag look.

YOU CANNOT BEAT THIS FOR THE PRICE and with my changes it looks like a $300 hard leather sissybar travel bag. EVERTHING I have ever ordered from teammotorcycle is GREAT!.

Overall rating: 4 This bag as a lot of advantages, but also some downsides. First off, if you want to buy this bag is that you like the design. For me, the design and look is great, so that’s a plus.

People will notice the bag and question you. Your dad will probably tell you the most dad joke ever such as: « which Ninja Turtle are you »! Some people mentioned how the bag isn’t big enough. Personally, I work in an office, and I commute on my bike when I’m not working from home and when it’s not raining.

The bags fits: my laptop, agenda, notebook, pen, laptop charger, mouse, water bottle, lunchbox, a whole freaking keyboard and there is still some room for another pair of pants and a t-shirt. I tell you, the bag can fit a lot of stuff.

The hard shell can make it hard sometimes to manage the space, but if you are just bringing clothes with you, it’s completely fine! The bag is heavy when fully loaded of course, but I’ll discuss that later on.

Other positive comment about the bag, it’s easy to take off from your back with the clip on the left strap. You unclip it, slide the right strap off and there you go, easy as that. Now, the negative side of things.

The most negative thing I have to say about the bag is how HARD it is to put on my back while I wear my leather jacket. The strap keeps being stuck on my jacket, making it hard to slide the strap on my shoulder.

What I do is slack the strap so the opening is as it’s largest, then fit my arm, and finally tight the strap back, which is a pain in the a** to do each time I put on the bag. Also, when the bag is loaded and heavy, the front strap doesn’t remove the weight from my shoulders, which can make it uncomfortable after a long ride.

Finally, the hard shell is easy to scratch. After 2 weeks of owning the bag, it scratched just a bit, and I don’t know how it happened, since I am very careful when handling the bag. As I first mentioned, I give this bag a 4 for it’s look, capacity, and ease to take off.

On the downside, it’s hard to put on, when it’s heavy it hurts your shoulders and neck and you can scratch it just by looking at it. I hope this review can help you in your decision! :).

This may be an older design but looks modern and just works. Lots of storage and even expands. Took me a long time to figure that out. I used to cram things in there which put strain on the zipper eventually causing failure.

Probably my our fault for forcing it shut. The company stands strongly behind the product and replaced it free of charge. I figured I learned my lesson and will be much more careful so this doesn’t happen again.

Visor storage in the pack to switch from mirrored To clear when day turns to Night. Love the wallet pouch so you don’t have to take the pack of your back to pay for gas and small purchases. Because it clips in on one side you have to attach it with only one shoulder strap on otherwise you will never reach it.

There is an opening for a camel back. Decent storage pouches including a couple zippered ones. The slick rounded back fits tight and there is definitely no drag when on my naked MT07. This does mean everything must be put in from the inside part of the pack as there is no access from the shell side.

This certainly has meet all my needs for storage as you can cram as much stuff as you need to into it. Looks like a motorcycle pack, built tough and secures to your body well. I can recommend this without reservation.

I purchased this bag based on the well received reviews. Shipping was fast and the price was the cheapest I could find. Fortnine is the best place to buy your gear. Anyone who has owned a decent hiking pack will not be thoroughly impressed with this pack, especially at this price point.

I don’t feel any difference wearing the pack than what I do with a decent day pack. It is cumbersome and uncomfortable if fully packed. The straps are hard to access and hard to adjust while the pack is on.

The waist belt when fully packed is useless. I have a 31″ waist, which is small and it barely fits. It also doesn’t transfer any weight off your shoulders. One feature I do like is the buckle is on the side so it doesn’t scratch your ride.

However, it is very difficult to do up when the pack is on your back. I do notice because of the hard shell there aren’t a lot of straps flapping in the wind which is nice. I’m shorter and this bag doesn’t hit my helmet at all which is great but I find it does hit my tail bone when just walking with the pack.

The helmet strap is a great feature but good luck getting it on because the pack will not stand on its own. It is also difficult to load it up because it is constantly falling forward or backwards which is super annoying.

Inside I have no complaints. The shoe holders are amazing and I love all the organized pockets for a laptop, tablet, pens, etc. I can keep everything organized and it can fit quite a bit of stuff for a day trip, a short overnight stay, the gym, or going to school/work.

If you have never owned a decent pack you most likely will love this bag. If like me, you have owned many great hiking packs you will not be impressed. Having said that, I would give it 4 starts if it was price appropriately or 5 stars if it wasn’t hard to pack and it had a better waist belt.

It’s quite expensive, but nonetheless a great design and well made. If it protects my daughter’s back in an accident it will have been worth any amount.

Aside from the price its a decent pack overall, however, it would be better if there was a designated cell phone pocket, and the velcro waistband is overkill and too wide.

Love this bag. I wear it on every ride. The harness is super comfortable, and you forget that it’s on you. The waterproof section works perfectly and I have no complaints. I even wear it while snowboarding in the off season.

I have beaten this bag up over the last year or so and not a single stitch has come loose. It’s durable, its waterproof, it looks good, what else is there to say? If you are looking at bags for riding, this is the only one.

This is my daily commuter bag to work. It is a small bag but perfect size to keep your jacket liner, rain gear, work lunch or other smaller stuff on you. If you plan on hauling a laptop, look at the bigger models, this one will be too small for you.

The Quadloc and the way Kriega does their strap adjustment is absolutely amazing. I ride a sport bike and having your arms feel like you aren’t even wearing a backpack is awesome. Also own a Kriega hydration bladder which works perfect with this.

I ended up buying the Trail 9 model backpack as well for dirt bike riding because it is such a great strap system and I can swap the hydration bladder back and forth between both bags. Never used the belly strap which is removable btw.

I don’t get why some people say it’s not removable and the left behind strap D rings/ears on the bag have never given me any issues.

I bought the Kriega R15 two years ago and I couldn’t be any happier. Kriega brand is pricey but you get what you pay for. I have abused this backpack enough in 2 years (many enduro rides under the rain, minor crashes and scratches.

) and it looks like new. I bought it together with the ‘Kriega 3 Liter Hydrapak + Tube’ and fits perfectly. Really comfortable and it sits perfectly without moving at all when properly fit, I barely feel that I am carrying it! The space is reduced, but I can carry a small set of tools, some small spares, extra gloves and rain clothes inside together with the hydrapack.

You just gotta be organized and you can fit everything you need on a ride. The inner pocket is nice to catty your wallet, mobile, keys and any other minor objects you may wanna reach quickly. I use it every ride with my SM and I don’t have any complains.

I have used it as well for hiking and skiing and been down on the snow with it. Even though it is not water resistant, no water has ever make it to the inside. Well done Kriega! This was my first Kriega product ever, and I can tell I am a fan now.

I’m sure most bikers will relate to this. I’ve used every type of bag imaginable. \n\nI’ve used standard bag packs: They swing around behind me acting as a pendulum upsetting balance while riding fast.

\n\nSo I bought high quality technical mountaineering bag pack. These were comfier, had good padding on back and straps. Good cooling around the back. This let me load up with more weight during long rides and commutes, but the more I loaded the more pull on my shoulders.

Even over short rides with little weight this became really noticeable in my neck and shoulders. I’d regularly get pulled trap muscles during the riding season. \n\nOver the years if just come to accept it as one of the drawbacks to riding.

\n\nThen I discovered Kriega, this is my second bag. The bag can be adjusted at so many points to allow a perfect fit to your body. With almost any weight on your back you don’t feel your movement on the bike hindered and 100% no counter weight issues.

Basically just feels part of you. \n\nThere is loads of padding and venting. The chest fasteners keep most of the bags weight off your shoulders, which totally alleviates my trap/neck/shoulders pain.

I think the pain and injuries I suffered before were from doing constant life’s savers and shifting around on the bike while have my neck and shoulder muscles pinched. \n\nThe 35 has plenty of carry space and pockets.

Rugged biker can easily fit close to a weeks worth of gear in there. If you need more you can easily fit more Kriega packs to your bike and bag. \n\nI don’t usually write reviews and this was a big long winded.

But genuinely this is a game changing piece of kit for a biker. \n\n5 star recommended! \n\nHappy riding guys =).

After a lot of online searching and reading many reviews, I ended up deciding on and purchasing the Kriega R35 Backpack from Revzilla. (And i research a LOT before i purchase!! I want to be sure that i am putting my money towards quality products before buying online).

At the time i purchased, (May 2016), the Kriega R35 did seem a little more on the expensive side compared to some of the other bags i was looking at and considering. However the Kriega customer reviews were superb so i pulled the trigger.

And i am happy to say I’m so glad that i did! I couldn’t be any more happy with the bag. It is definitely worth every penny. Like another reviewer said, “Do It! You wont regret it!”. I too can now personally attest to this statement.

Do It! I was unsure about the size at first, but i ended up going with the larger model Kriega R35 – And boy am I glad i did. I ride a Yamaha Raider and don’t have saddle bags. The main reason for purchasing a backpack for my bike is that i gym / run almost every day during work lunch hours, so i needed something to accommodate my gear.

My main requirements for my new backpack? (1) Enough room to carry all my gym gear + some. (2) Be comfortable (And Safe), to ride with. (3) Durable and Quality Manufacturing. The Kriega R35 has over delivered on all of the above, especially its comfort and capacity.

It is absolutely perfect for my needs and it meets all my expectations of what i was looking for and wanting in a Motorcycle Backpack. The zip in and out harness works really well once you have it set.

The weight distributes nicely across your chest and hips and it is easy to ride with. I read some reviews and people were questioning lack of Pockets on the bag. For me personally the R35 has plenty of pockets for my needs.

I LOVE the Chest panel that includes 2 x zip pockets for easy access to must have items. These pockets admittedly are not overly large in size, but my LG G3 Smarthphone fits snug in one pocket, (and i mean snug – don’t think anything bigger would fit) – And my wallet fits the other chest panel pocket.

(Wallet has a few credit cards and dollar bills. Be warned, a bulky wallet with wads of cash wont fit well, if at all). But it is so great to have such easy access to money at the Gas Station. Also i enjoy the fact that my wallet has my magnetic security badge in it, so once at work, its off the bike, and with the R35 still securely fastened to my back, all i need to do is lean down at the security door at work and it will open.

The magnetic card reader easily reads the magnetic badge located inside my wallet that i keep in the front zipper pocket on the Kriega R35 chest panel. No need to rummage around trying to find the wallet in your pack, you know where it is every time.

Convenience at its best. Items I pack in my bag on a daily basis: Gym Shoes Gym Shorts, Gym Socks, Gym Underwear Workout Singlet Towel for showering Hand Towel Flip Flops Nalgene 32 Oz Water Bottle Degree 3.

8 OZ deodorant x 2 Garmin Pouch with Watch + Headphones My man bag, which I throw all my work items into – Reading Glasses, Vitamins, Gum etc Lunch = Banana, Cereal Bar + Lean Protein Shake 14 fl OZ I even manage to take my coffee each morning with me in my Kriega R35! This was a pleasant surprise and I achieve this by pouring my coffee into a Starbucks Stainless Steel 24 fl oz cup, I then slide the stainless cup down into the front mesh pocket on the Kriega, making sure i tighten the shock cord compression for a snug upright fit! Coffee is still hot when i get to work! (9 Mile Commute).

No spills whatsoever. Finally, when needed, my 15″ Laptop can squeeze in as well. As you can see, that is a lot of items for a daily work commute. Probably more than what the average rider is looking for.

But the bag holds up nicely and it makes taking my belongings to work a breeze. I am also really happy with the way in which the bag distributes all that weight. It makes for a comfortable ride and the backpack does not feel “Heavy” at all.

No sore muscles either which is nice. So, if your looking for a motorcycle backpack that you can carry your gym gear in whilst having extra room for other items, then this is your bag! You truly wont be disappointed.

If you don’t have the requirement to carry so many items, you would probably be better of with a smaller sized Kriega. All in all, i’m a very happy customer, and i would definitely buy the Kriega Brand again.

Thanks Kriega for an awesome product and thanks Revzilla for speedy shipping. No complaints at all. Other thoughts: I am 6’2″ Tall, 195lbs, 36W 34L Jeans and wear a Large size dress shirt. I also wear my XL Speed and Strength MC Jacket that has Kevlar back protector and shoulder / elbow reinforcement.

So i bulk out a bit. The Kriega 35 fits me perfectly over this jacket and there is probably some room for adjusting the bag to make it bigger. However, I used to weigh 240lbs and i am not sure how the bag would have fitted me then.

If at all. If your larger in size, you may want to research how the bag would fit your body size and what its capabilities are. I don’t know that info. Finally, i cant comment on how waterproof the Kriega 35 is.

Other peoples reviews say it is fine, but i am yet to ride with it in the rain so cant give an honest review on this subject.

This backpack is great. I like to have an “everyday carry” backpack, but I ride so much out of the year I needed something comfortable for the motorcycle and something that didn’t look like a rucksack.

The Kriega Max 28 seemed like the obvious choice. I got caught in a crazy rainstorm and everything stayed dry, so it is definitely water resistant on all the compartments. The roll top waterproof section is small but I use it for a tablet so that’s not an issue.

The organization is nice, but that section’s zippers are hard hard to close at first. A few days in I either figured it out or they broke in and it seems much easier but not perfect. I have not used it in the expanded setting yet so not sure how much it will hold, granted I have fit a lot of stuff in the main section without needing to expand it.

The pockets on all the flap pieces for small storage are also very nice. Lastly the comfort is amazing. It took me a couple rides to get it adjusted to me, but once I did I barely notice the thing on my back.

I will say that since I adjusted it to me riding, when I carry it without my jacket on it isn’t as comfortable, but having it comfortable for long rides is more important anyways. Overall this was a great purchase.

It is definitely pricey, but I’d buy it again easily. Plus with a 10 year warranty I won’t be needing to buy one again anytime soon.

I was able to get the Max28 early from Kriega (I paid for it) and thought I’d post this review for anyone in the market for a new Motorcycle backpack. If I can summarize the Max28 in one sentence I’d say it’s one of the most versatile motorcycle backpacks on the market.

To start, the bag doesn’t scream “I ride a motorcycle” which is great when you want to walk through the office without someone asking”what kind of bike do you ride bro?” The other thing I love about this backpack is the expandability.

When fully closed the backpack is about as big as your standard school backpack but when expanded it’s big enough to hold my Large sized Arai full-face helmet. The expandability is also equally great for packing extra clothes/gear for longer rides, groceries, parcels, etc.

And when the bag is empty you can zip it up and it’s not flopping around in the wind while you ride. Lastly, because I carry around a laptop for work I needed a bag that could accommodate a 15” MacBook.

I looked at a lot of motorcycle backpacks before landing on the Max28 and pretty much every bag that could fit a 15” laptop was too big for what I needed. The Max28 is also the only backpack I came across that includes a fully waterproof drypack big enough to hold a 15” laptop.

Lastly, if you’re concerned about aerodynamics I’ve ridden with the Max28 at freeway speeds (90MPH+) and there’s very minimal air buffeting. It’s not perfectly aero like those turtleshell style backpacks but it’s definitely more secure than riding with a standard backpack.

The should strap locking mechanism is super easy to open/close with gloves on and all the loose straps have clips to prevent them from flying around and whipping you in the back. Overall I highly recommend the Max28 for anyone that wants something more versatile than most other motorcycle backpacks.

While it isn’t the cheapest backpack, it’s probably the only one I’ll need for a long time.

I’ve had this pack now for a few years now (just shy of 20k miles). Overall, I really like the backpack, but some of the “features” may be a nuisance to others. For context, I daily with this backpack and also take it on leisure rides and longer trips.

It is my “do-everything” pack. Construction: Great construction and durability. It’s a durable backpack with a durable rubber handle that works well. No visible tears or areas where it looks like its wearing through.

This pack has seen just shy of 20k miles, but I also used it when I used to skateboard to class. So it gets proper, daily use. Rain resistance: I would like to emphasize that it is water resistant, not waterproof.

I have ridden through rain and the inside has never been “wet”, but it’s definitely been slightly damp. I had my laptop in there which wasn’t really wet either, but if I anticipate a lot of rain, I put my laptop in a plastic grocery bag.

The small electronics/other pocket on the inside of the bag is also only water resistant, not water proof. I wish that at least that pocket would have been made completely waterproof, and I could through my phone in without thinking about it.

Comfort: Amazing I have ridden with heavy, normal backpacks in the past for multiple hours and it is torture. This backpack does as advertised and shifts the weight primarily to your chest and hips. It’s not quite as “weightless” on the shoulders, but very very close when properly adjusted.

Adjustment is key however, and if not adjusted to the right height, it is less useful. Also, in a perfectly upright riding position, I find that it is also slightly less effective at keeping the weight on the chest and hips.

Storage: The biggest issue with this bag is the single compartment. Now, this does not bother me as the things I take with me to work are relatively few and do not need to be separated. But if I had to keep things separated, it would definitely be annoying.

Otherwise, you can fit a fair amount of stuff in this bag, and the compression straps on the side help keep it low profile and prevent it from flopping around. As mentioned above, the lack of at least one, small, completely waterproof compartment is a bit of let-down, but it is not a big deal to me.

My electronics and other goods are safe in the bag the majority of the time and really don’t get wet even in the heavier rains if you’re only caught briefly. Cost: Probably the other major downside. It is expensive, but it continues to serve me well.

I’m happy to put down a little extra money for stuff that will last many years. It does not look like it will be replaced anytime soon. The only change I would make is potentially consider the R30 instead, as I am sometimes limited on space due to the 25L capacity.

However, I ride with a 45L duffle strapped to the bike now, so it isn’t an issue.

I bought this backpack 6~7 years ago when living in England. Used it every day in England for a couple of years, during rain, and sunshine. The back pack is not waterproof but water resistant, this means your clothes after heavy rain might get wet.

It happened to me once, and since I packed my clothes rolled in a plastic bag so this did not happen again. Very comfortable, and did not feel too much stress after touring England and France with it on my back.

A great addition to it is the Kriega Kube pocket. To my liking, I can only install it on the left strap, as I am right handed, easier to unzip this way. But let’s go back to the bag pack. As everyday use for commuting it is great, you can pack a Mac Book Pro 15″, with shoes, and changing clothes, remember, I am from Europe, and most people if not all are riding full gear.

Once with all this, unfortunately, there is not much room for anything else. Also, I had an old version than the one one now sold, so I did not have holes for a water bladder, and buckles for side, and upper straps, also I did not have the dots to show how far you tightened or not.

Let’s talk about the buckle to setup the straps, took a while to get use to how to use them, but once you have the hang of it, you can easily, and quickly adjust the straps depending on what you wear, in the summer, light jacket means you can tighten it to a closer fit, winter with 4 season jacket, then you have to loosen it, and whichever season, it fitted fine.

The only inconvenient, is in the last year I had it, the strap loosen over time, where as before it kept the fit. Unfortunately, everything comes to an end, my back pack after being used every day to get my gear has now a big hole where the left strap connect to the bag.

I know Kriega has a 10 years warranty, but not sure if I can find my receipt as during my move to the US, I no longer have it. So I might upgrade to the Kriega R30 instead.

Besides losing 3 of the black little stubbies ripping off on the end of the zippers within the first week, the backpack overall is very nice. If it wasn’t for that, definitely a great backpack especially because it comes with a rain cover for the bag and also a helmet strap! Very adjustable but if you’re on the skinnier/smaller built size, it will be somewhat lower/loose.

Perfect for daily usage, because it’s fit to my office laptop. 140km per day and still looks comfortable.

I have has this pack for over a year, and it has held up to daily use very well. I even melted a part of it on the exhaust of my bike and it didn’t leave a hole (made a mess of my exhaust though). I don’t use the chest strap so I can’t comment on that.

I have a smaller laptop, and it fits in the compartment well and seems to be pretty protected. I wish it had better protection for my helmet when its on the back, I don’t use that feature very much for that reason.

When I’m riding I forget I’m wearing this pack most of the time, unless it is very heavy. I do wish it was a little bigger and had one more interior pocket, but for the price it is an amazing bag. I use it on and off the motorcycle and have taken it hiking a few times.

This product is great and almost suits all my needs. The storage is ample and when loaded down it is secured and pressure is evenly spread. The only problem I have is the the straps. The strapping is not the problem but the extra strap is supposed to be fastened by a ?bungee? collar, but it comes out almost immediately.

The chest cross strap is the whole reason I bought it and it is very unsubstantial. I feel like it?s going to break, also it is very difficult to get it connected without looking at it.

This is a nice sized backpack for everyday use. It has a few little pockets (sunglasses pocket on top, and a front pocket) and two main compartments. One of the compartments has space for a laptop, which is great.

I also has a little helmet hook. I used it a lot over the summer. It snugs up to the body nicely, and nothing flaps around on the highway. It’s small enough that I can shove it into my saddlebags and not have to carry it around.
