17 Best Moisturizers To Wear Under Makeup (2023 Updated)

I bought this as part of a skincare routine overall as my mid-30s skin was showing every issue in the book – redness, adult acne, fine lines, dryness one day, oily the next day, etc. The Northeast winter climate didn’t help either! I wanted a simple and nourishing moisturizer to use as a night cream because I HATE a thick and fragrant night cream.

After 10 nights of my new routine (gentle cleanser to remove makeup, MB rose water/witch hazel toner, Kera moisturizer), I am blown away by my new skin! I wake up with moisturized (but not greasy) baby soft skin.

For anyone else in their 30s struggling to find the best products – my advice is to keep it simple. There are SO many products out there but honestly I think the best thing to do is to stick to a consistent and simple routine and then wear SPF during the day.

Also want to note how much I love the MB packaging and squeeze bottle. Nothing is worse than an overpriced cream that you have to dip your fingers in each night.

I absolutely love this moisturizer! When I first apply it my face glows without feeling greasy. As it settles, it smoothes out my face and looks more subtle. It only takes a small amount to do the job, so it’s an economical way to bring luxury to your face.

I do pair it with other MB products and they work harmoniously together to create a glowing complexion. I especially love it with the caffeine eye cream because I look awake and bright. The aroma is very mild.

I had this product in my favorites to try based on the description and the mixed reviews. I’m from Florida, but while in Ohio, ran out of another moisturizer I use that Ulta was out of in stores and online.

I decided I’ll give this a try. I want to believe maybe the cooler weather in Ohio but it would leave a white film that I had to keep trying to rub in as I’m brown skinned and then once out my face seemed tight dry.

It did keep my oily shine at bay but I wonder at what cost to drain my skin of some moisture. I returned it once I got back home. This is the second Mario Badescu product to not work so possibly just not for me.

I used my first ever Beauty Prep moisturizer which lasted about a month and a half. I waited to write this review to make sure I liked the product. I’ve taken good care of my skin with natural products before this purchase so I wasn’t expecting a transformation.

This product was gentle on my skin and kept my skin protected better than another truly natural product line. I find this moisturizer a little denser which is good for my mature but still oily in places skin.

The applicator worked great, but I suspected that all product wouldn’t be used. This week I had trouble extracting more moisturizer with the dispenser. I got my husband to open the lid with one of his many tools.

I was completely surprised to see that every last drop had been used. I ordered my second jar last night. My skin is already missing this. The lines on my forehead are more exaggerated after just one night.

I used another moisturizer last night, but as I said earlier it doesn’t give me as much protection.

I have been using Beauty Prep Face Moisturizer over three years. I was introduced to the product through an integrative pharmacy, where I got a facial. The plump hydrated feeling lasted more than a couple of hours, and I began using it daily.

I’ve used Jane Iredale moisturizer for about 5 years now. Great product! No animal testing, and no “use by” date because Iredale cosmetics are produced from all natural content and just do not deteriorate on the shelf.

This moisturizer goes on easily, is absorbed quickly, becomes invisible immediately, and makes application of a foundation over it very fast and easy. My skin tends to be sensitive to makeup ingredients and will break out in my “T zone.

” I have never had any sensitivity problem to this product, and I think my skin looks great for having used it so long.

Oh wow I was not expecting to love this as much as I do. I never try out new moisturizers, but with this being fragrance free, made for sensitive skin types, and having an affordable price, I had to try it out.

This is a beautiful moisturizer, it’s thick, gentle, hydrating, but doesn’t feel heavy or sticky on your face. It sinks right in! It’s suitable for day or night time, and it leaves your skin with a nice satin matte finish.

I usually use a moisturizer that’s more dewy in finish but I actually really enjoy how my skin looks and feels when I use this. It’s full of good ingredients and ceramides which are so good for your skin barrier.

I love this so much, I can’t say enough good things about it. Sensitive skin babes this one’s for you. I struggle so much to find products that are fragrance free, feel luxurious, and don’t make me react or break out, but this is incredible.

Also the packaging is so precious, the little lavender glass container with butterflies??!! I’m obsessed.

I’m trying to reduce the number of products I use, at least for travel. I usually apply an oil after serums then The Ordinary NMF+HA lotion. I tried a week of this sans oil, on half my face and NMF on the other half (after usual serums).

They were about the same amount of not enough moisture. I thought all the ceramides and cholesterol would make this more moisturizing than NMF. Skin felt great for a while after applying but halfway through the day, my skin felt tight.

Cocokind Ceramide Barrier Serum is very moisturizing all day, but I wanted to have alternate days with no lactic acid-apparently the LA helps with hydration/penetration. One day I used this only, no NMF, and my skin felt dry soon after use.

I’m exactly the right profile for this product (sensitve skin, psoriasis, dry). What is great-the texture, it soaks in well, not greasy, glass/not plastic, no fragrance, no pore clogging, affordable.

I’m now trying the serum to use under the NMF because I still want those ceramides but this would be too thick to layer. Note I did only give this a week or so before giving up.

This moisturizer is rich, fragrance free and a perfect dupe for Cetaphil’s gentle cream, but so much better because it is vegan and cruelty Free Things I loved: BEAUTIFUL packaging! 😍, Gentle, Fragrance Free, Hydrating without being heavy or greasy, Perfect over any serum, Can be used both morning and night.

Things I didn’t like:Matte finish, I prefer a dewy look. My face had the same “perspiration” as with the Yes to moisturizer The last point might be just me, it’s the strangest thing, and it could be because of the summer heat, but once it started getting colder it reduced significantly.

I preferred using this mornings because it didn’t create any greasiness under sunscreen and makeup All in all I STRONGLY recommend this cream, especially if you’re on the oilier side and want a matte finish.

Such a fresh moisturiser leaves my skin super soft. I suffer with acne have for years and struggled to find a good product that would help sooth my face and get rid of the blemishes. I actually got this part of a set along with the facial cleanser, cucumber lotion, face acne clay and cream I have also purchased the rose hip spray and mask and I have to say I love it.

My only negative is I would say the drying acne mask. The smell is pure sulphur I had to wash it off because it was making me feel sick. But no matter how hard you try the smell just won’t wash away.

Since turning 40, I decided that I really needed to start taking better care of my skin if I hope to retain a more youthful appearance. I have combination skin with the oily areas being concentrated on my forehead and nose – these areas are also prone to the occasional pimple and blackheads.

After reading reviews, I hoped that Confidence in a Cream would provide all the benefits I currently need. I immediately noticed the soft creamy texture and subtle and pleasant citrus scent. It’s very light and fresh which I didn’t expect because I’m used to unscented moisturizers (although I prefer scented products).

I applied a small amount to start off since I didn’t know how my skin would react. I applied to my face, neck and decollette to start. After about a week, while I did notice my skin was glowing, I also experienced small breakouts on my cheeks, jawline and forehead.

The only thing I can attribute it too is this moisturizer unfortunately. I’m a believer in that you need to give products several weeks to see an outcome so I’ll keep using it and see if my skin improves.

I finally started buying anti aging products at 38. I’ve used the same Aveeno lotion as face moisturizer for over 10 years and wanted to try something new. So I purchased this item along with a couple other high end highly-rated face moisturizers to try them out and see which one I liked best.

Honestly I thought this product was better than the highest rated facial moisturizer on the Ulta site. I liked this moisturizer better than the other two I tried for a few reasons. A little bit of this goes a long way.

Other moisturizers I needed to use a bit more product. It’s very easy to smooth into the skin. It disappears into your skin, it doesn’t leave that layer of white overcast. But my favorite reason I like this is because I will put a fresh layer of this on at night and after waking up, I can visibly notice my facial redness has gone away.

Usually my cheeks are naturally a little red but no more of that when I use this facial moisturizer. In the morning I don’t notice it.

Okay so I am a HUGE fan of all of glo skin beauty’s skin care line. I got this after my esthetician raved about it throughout a facial and then used it on my skin. It is very good, it is just not as hydrating / soothing as I had anticipated.

I have combination skin that tends to be on the extremely dry side. I do a lot to keep my skin healthy and moisturized. I can use this, but not as my only moisturizer (it is better for me to use this in the AM and then use the glo restorative cream as my evening moisturizer or vise versa).

I am hoping that once the weather warms up for spring and summer this will be enough. I believe it will be but that is why I am giving it 4 stars currently. I do not notice any negative smell and it does help with redness.

I have been using this moisturizer for a while now. I LOVE it. Recently purchased a new bottle — color of moisturizer was not white like it used to be, but yellow. And now has a strong fragrance. Made my face instantly get red.

Contacted Glo and they nicely sent me a new bottle. New bottle cane in and is the same – yellow and fragrant. Did they change the formula? No mention of it here in reviews, but I did notice two most recent Amazon reviews said same thing (I purchased directly from Glo).

I can give benefit of doubt that bad batch but dont want to purchase in future if this is new formula. Five stars for old formula; one for new.

My skin is dry in the winter, and I have to have something more for my face. I like this product, excuse me, Love, this product because it goes on so thick but thin. The cream itself is light and thin, but when you put it on and all over your face it is Thick, but then once it’s massaged onto your face it is light feeling.

Like all moisturizers at first I break out. I was usinn the indeed brand, and it worked to an extent, but it definitely doesn’t give me that “glow” that Kylie’s does. It doesn’t go from one side to the other side of the face when I massage it in.

What I mean when you put Kylie’s on because it’s a thick cream but a light and thin consistency it only spreads to your one check. So I have to apply more on my other cheek and forehead. I massage the cream from my cheeks to my chin and nose.

I REALLY love this and a must for DRY skin. Not so much on sensitive but like most products my face has to get used to it. The packaging sucks. I feel like the tube should be a none tube and the pump doesn’t pump out very well and you think you ran out.

I am going to start this review by saying that I have very tough skin. the opposite of sensitive. I have never had any issues with products previously, and have never had an acne other than a small pimple here and there.

After finding out that Kylie Jenner’s beauty and skincare collection was now being sold at Shopper’s, I had to give some of her products a try. I’ve been a fan of her makeup since she first came out with her lip kits but honestly, I was a bit skeptical about her skincare line.

I must say though, I’m very satisfied. I actually think I might’ve just found my new holy grail daily face moisturizer! The pump makes application clean and efficient. Just like many people. I find sticking your fingers into a tub of product is a bit of a pet peeve and of course, not the most sanitary.

So A+ for this packaging! Now for the moisturizer itself; WOW. It’s a thicker formula than I expected, but it blends out so beautifully on the skin. It acts almost like a face primer, creating a smooth canvas for foundation and concealer application.

My makeup looks amazing with this moisturizer as its base because it provides my skin with such a healthy glow. Perfect for combination skin! It has a subtle scent, nothing too overwhelmingly strong but pleasant enough.

All in all, an amazing product that I will continue to purchase in the future.

I recieved this in a ipsy bag years ago and it honestly took my forever to use because I didn’t think I’d like it and I had got a full size and it honestly just took me forever to get around to trying but once I did omg I fell in love.

Ive been using this now for 3 years. I call it my daytime fall/spring/summer moisturizer as I do need a thicker one at night and in the winter. It smells so nice and it a nice light whipped formula and it soaks right into my skin.

I really like and enjoy this. I recommend this to people with normal to dry skin more so that oily but I dont not think its good for oily skin I just think that it may feel oily to you before it drys all the way down and that might make an oily person not like it.

I say that with a bit of caution because im combination and that’s how I first thought about it in my T zone when I first started using it. It doesn’t take long for it to dry. It hard to explain but I just felt like i was going to get oily sooner before later but it didn’t and doesn’t happen so dont worry she beware of that feeling.

I love Pur-lisse products in general, and this is one of the products that does not disappoint. I used this product every morning and night after cleansing, and it helped alleviate my dry skin. The product itself contains blue lotus, which is an antioxidant and has anti-inflammatory properties, it contains white tea, which offers anti-bacterial and skin soothing benefits, it contains vitamin E, which is essential for premature aging and improves skin texture, and contains French Marine Plants, which help lock in moisture in the skin.

With all these beneficial properties, my skin did not break out, and the product worked perfectly for my skin. I highly recommend this product!.

It’s not a super crazy great moisturizer but it does do the job and I’m happy with it. It’s hard to find a moisturizer I’ll actually stick with. I don’t think it’s very crazy heavy on the face, which personally I like a heavier moisturizer this time of year, but I can always add more after I’ve rubbed in what I need with it.

I first used this gel as a part of a short facial at my hair salon. I was a little anxious because I’ve previously experienced negative reactions to face masks (red, irritated skin). However, my skin just sips up the moisture thanks to how wonderful this lotion feels on my face.

I usually follow up with super rich repair after using this product 1-2 times per week. One of my favorite products, I can already say from the review! I can clearly detect a difference in the way my skin feels and appears.

This product is amazing for people with oily skin. My skin gets so nasty during the day with sweat and oil. This product controls the oil during the day and I can see the difference on day 1. I’m no longer having the blot my face every hour.

It also still keeps enough moisture in your skin so it’s not dried out.

Almonds. Yes I love the smell of amaretto! I work out for a living. I get a shower in the morning and apply the toner and counter match moisture lotion. Head out into 100% humidity to get to my car where I roll the windows down for the puppies.

Going into work for 6 hours where I have a dehumidifier working overtime inside the studio as well as ceiling fans and air-conditioning. Take the puppies on a walk in the humidity and blazing sun, then back inside.

As you can see I need a moisturizer that can adapt to my constant climate change. Love this product!.

I’ve been using the Countermatch Regimen plus All Bright C Serum and Countersun SPF for about 4 months. Switched over b/c I needed a pregnancy safe line. I live in a very dry climate and have very dry skin.

This line has been the best I’ve found so far for providing all day or night moisture without being greasy or clogging my pores. The price is fair for the quality. The countermatch line does not have much of a scent but the C serum does (I think it’s turmeric), which took a week or so for me to get used to, maybe being pregnant didn’t help! The only thing I would change is the mechanics of the containers.

They seem to be overly complex (perhaps because they want them airtight?) and the apparatus frequently breaks so you have to break the container to access the rest of the product. They are also heavy and very opaque so you never know if you are nearing the end.

Overall, I think this is a good quality product and I will keep using this line well past pregnancy.

I continue to be amazed at Countermatch. Over the summer, we travelled abroad and spent almost 24 hours in transit. Upon arrival, I did not have the normal dry/dehydrated skin. I first noticed how effective it was when I was traveling from home (very cold climate) to my parent’s (very mild).

It worked great on my dry cheeks by restoring the loss of moisture. It leaves my skin feeling soft, more smooth and visibly more supple after each use. Now for the bad. After 4 days of consistent use my combination skin began to become quite oily, even in my dry areas, and by day 6 I had two painful pimples along the side of my nose.

I don’t have what I would necessarily call acne prone skin, I do occasionally get one here or there, but never this large or painful. This cream does contain quite a few essential oils, so there is a chance that is what caused this reaction.

The scent is also not the best nor my favorite but it doesn’t linger. If you have oily skin I would avoid this at all costs. I think it’s worth a try if you have dry, dehydrated, aging skin that is not sensitive.

I really appreciated seeing all the ingredients. There is a lot of ingredients in this formula but they are good ingredients. Like; 💥Raspberry Fruit Extract 💥Olive Oil 💥Tea Tree Oil 💥 Rosemary Leaf Oil💥Cyclopentasiloxane 💥3 Types of Hyaluronic Acid.

Just to name a few. The bottle was completely full and it came with a little spachaler 😊 Texture from the look, was so inviting. Like, get on my face NOW you amazing ingredient list of jelly goodness.

I have heard this has been compared as a dupe for Tatchas water cream 💧. Since I personally haven’t tried Tatcha’s water cream I can not compare but this definitely looked so hydrating I couldn’t wait to try.

It says to use a pea sized amount however I used a tiny bit more (because I always just do) spotting lil dots around the face and warming up my hands with the little that was still left over. Then I began to spread it all around.

It glided on so effortlessly and with such immediate hydration It felt luxurious. Now, the amount I did was perfect for me but a little DOES go a long way so you really don’t need a lot. An that is a huge SOLID because it will last for awhile.

It gave off a dewy glow appearance with CLASS. I have like comboish skin but hydration is always my skins favorite buddy. I would definitely say this is a dry skins best friend for sure. I mean depending on your dry skin level, you may want to add a boost of a thicker moisturizer at the end of your skincare routine just to address super dry flaky skin and locking in all the goodness of this guy.

For oily skin this could be a trial and error. It didnt cause any clogging for me but you just never know. So try a very LITTLE at first I’d recommend for my oily skin buddies. There is a fragrance and it smells a little like soap 🧼 combined with lavender but to me it was light.

Thats if you smell it from the bottle. When I was applying it to my face, I didn’t really smell anything obnoxious👃. However, if you are very sensitive to smells in your skincare, this could be a negative.

P. Calm Barrier_cycle Toner and P. Calm UnderPore Foam Cleanser I received this product for free from Picky and P. CALM in exchange for my honest review The first day I used this, it kind of dried out my face and Burned a little bit it didn’t last long and it was moisturized as soon as I applied the toner to it, the second day I loved how it felt , you can feel it stripping the dirt from your pores but maybe that wasn’t too good for me because by the third day I started having minor small breakouts.

I thought we’ll maybe my face just has to get use to the product so I continued it because, I loved how it felt , my face was smooth clean and it was brighter as well. I couldn’t figure out if maybe it was the type of lotion and or serum maybe that I was using with it.

But by day 7 I started having large engorged lesions on my chin and a long my T-zone area. So I quit using the face cleanser and started only using the toner it seemed to calm down after the first use, but then it stirred back up whenever I used the toner with my other washes.

So I’m just not using either of them and trying to clear up my face from it, I haven’t had this much pain from a breakout since I was a teenager! so I wouldn’t recommend this if you have oily skin, if you don’t generally have breakouts I’ve heard it works pretty well on others though.

I really wish it wouldn’t have broke me out because other than that, I was really trying to like it.

Wow ! Right off the bat upon opening I can already sense this cream has one of the more luxurious textures I’ve had the pleasure of running into. Unfortunately outside of a very slight patch test I have yet to try this but already I can tell you I am awaiting that trial with baited breath.

I accidentally spilled a little onto my fingers and even that slight application got me excited to slather more of this cream onto myself. Now I’m not a fragrance guy but let me tell you when it’s done right it’s done right and this product was done right.

My skin type is combo to oily. This product did not work well on my skin, it broke me out. HOWEVER, my husband has dry/eczema prone skin and it worked wonders for him. His eczema was drastically reduced when he used this creme consistently.

Also it was a perfect heavy creme for the Chicago winter.

This product smells lovely and is really rich and soothing. It doesn’t feel heavy on my skin and after leaving it on my skin for 10 minutes and removing with cotton wool pads my skin felt smooth and moisturised.

I would definitely keep using it as I have quite dry skin and it was calming and soothing.

I got a consultation from a Bobbi Brown and mentioned that I thought I had pretty dry skin. Tinted moisturizers would often look flat and dull and would eventually start to seemingly “separate”. She tried several of their standard moisturizing products which didn’t quite “wow” me.

The consultant told me it seemed like my skin was absorbing all the moisture in the products right away. So she brought this extra repair product out. Normally I would have thought she was just trying to sell me on the more expensive moisturizer but my skin (and make-up) NEVER looked as good as it did after she applied this stuff.

Highly recommend if you’ve been struggling with dry skin! Works well as a primer and moisturizer. Haven’t had any breakouts or issues yet in the 2 weeks I’ve been using it. The packaging is super high quality and definitely luxurious (as it should be for that price!).

Comes in a frosted glass jar. It’s refillable and refills come with a lower price tag than the original product which is definitely a plus especially considering the high price tag. This product has made me a life long user.

Having recently spent 3 months in a coma on life support in Intensive Care, , I woke up to find that my skin was extremely dry, flaky and sore. Unsurprising, I may add, after critical illness. Wasn’t really sure how to rectify the poor skin condition of my face.

Couldn’t use the heavier emollients I was using on my body. They were far too heavy and oily for facial use. Being very familiar with Bobbi Brown make up, and loving it, I decided to try this water based cream.

Marvellous. Within 2weeks of regular use my facial skin had returned to its lovely pre-illness condition. The cream was so very suitable for effectively moisturising my skin without the weight of heavy oils, whilst also providing a fab base for my foundation.

Shall continue using this cream, but I’ve one simple ask of Bobbi Brown. Please, please provide an option for those of us who find the current size of pot too small. A larger, more economical pot would be very much appreciated.

The question is would you recommend this product to a friend. Not only have I recommended it to them, I have purchased this for friends who, like me, have sensitive and dry skin. It has been the “gateway” to Bobbi Brown products when they’ve been unhappy with others they’ve tried and it, inevitably, makes them fans of not only this moisturizer but other items in the Bobbi Brown Extra line and then they move into make up too.

All because they have liked this moisture cream product so well So I’m surprised to see the overall rating average for this moisturizer at just shy of 4 stars. Since I have been using BB Extra skin care for a long time now, since it was introduced, and I too remember the SPF free Extra Moisture Balm that is no longer made, I recognize some of the less than stellar reviews for this Extra Repair Moisture Cream are comments of disappointment that the Balm is gone.

I felt that same way at the time. But this moisture cream really does an excellent job for my extra dry, fragile and super sensitive skin, which is also SPF sensitive, and keeps it in great shape even at my.

umm. mature age when used as part of my Extra skin care routine. I start with Extra Serum then Face Oil then this Extra Repair Moisture Cream for my prep steps before day time makeup.

I purchased this set which comes with the Moisturizer, it’s a very smooth texture , lightweight formula, it hydrates your skin. I use it both for Am Pm. It’s so light that you can use it before you put your makeup on , I tend to like the more thin moisturizer texture on my face before I put makeup , so that my makeup doesn’t feel caked up, and Kylie Moisturizer does that.

I do like this moisturizer, but do I love it? No but it’s a nice moisturizer I can’t really complain about it, but I can’t hype it up to much either. So I would recommend it if you just want a simple moisturizer, My preference would be a moisturizer that has more ingredients which will benefit my skin.

I have been using this moisture daily since February along with the vitamin c serum and foaming face wash. I wasn’t as impressed with my results as I was hoping to be. it’s fragrance free and a little goes a long way which is great BUT I do not have sensitive skin and I saw some comments about this product causing red skin and blochiness and that’s definitely an issue I’ve experienced, along with a burning sensation after applying.

it’s not pleasant. It’s a very basic moisturizer and honestly you can experience the same results or even better by using a much cheaper product! I am disappointed! I do LOVE the foaming face wash though!!!.

I am 24 with dry/sensitive skin. This is by far the worst moisturizer I have ever used. I would use a drug store product before using this again. This cream does not provide my skin with any hydration at all.

It is extremely oily on my skin and takes forever to absorb. My skins stays greasy all day and that is rare for how dry my skin is. I cannot put makeup on at all when using this product. The scent is unpleasant as well.

I would not recommend this product to anyone!.

I thought this very affordable cream might end up being unnecessary after adding hyaluronic acid & squalane to my routine, but this magic product boosts the plumping & smoothing even more & does an even better job than smash box photo finish (or the frugal but very effective primer dupe, monistat chafing gel).

Seems priced like most decent drugstore creams, but seems more on par with higher end lines. I think the ulta price might be far lower than most vendors, tho, so may be temporary. On its own, smells like old white lady lotion, but when I layered it after other stinky products (I use tea tree liberally in my DIY products & the rose hip seed oil I use with the squalane is funky), it smoothed out the more unpleasant smells & the heavy florals were muted, so I consider the scent a “bonus.

” I planned to wear it at night, probably alternating with a DIY shea butter cream, but will likely also use for day (a little goes a looooong way) when I especially want a nice finished look. Also, bonus points for cute packaging that was also highly useful, altho a holster for the insane adorable teeny spatula would be nice.

My first foray into K-Beauty & I am hooked!.

I have super dry skin and use moisturizer excessively. After moving back to the US from Korea, I couldn’t get my hands on my favorite Korean moisturizer anymore so was looking for something new around the same price point.

I decided to take a chance on Banila Co and I am SO thrilled that I did! A teeny, tiny bit of this moisturizer (I’m talking like, a centimeter on the tip of your finger) goes such a long way, which means good longevity for a small package.

The cream is definitely on the heavier side and doesn’t absorb as quickly or easily as a lightweight moisturizer, but by morning my skin feels so soft. I haven’t used it under makeup and will avoid it during the day because it does tend to feel a bit heavy (and no SPF), but I absolutely reccommend it for night-time intense moisture and hydration!.

As much as I love Vianek for being cruelty free, I’m not a fan of the parfum ingredient. It’s actually drying and irritating skin.

The cream is sensational. It is light, smells nice and does not cause allergies, and I have sensitive capillaries.

A very good cream for my mature skin.

It was a real surprise to find probably the best moisturiser for my sensitive skin. I just love it and can’t stop using it. All cosmetics I applied on my face so far caused a bad reaction but this one seems just perfect.

I got no redness, no greasiness, no sticky feeling, no inflammation. VB really has thought about creating the best moisturiser a woman needs in the morning. It gives a very light glow, a very subtle shine on the cheekbones, and a feeling of freshness.

Definitely, it is the ultimate luxurious product I identified which makes me very happy!.

Part of me (mainly my bank balance) didn’t want to love this as much as I do, but I am completely converted to both formulas! I love the golden version for days when I want a subtle but bronzed glow, and the original just for that completely natural and luminous glow.

I love wearing both, with and without makeup, and find my makeup lasts exceptionally well when I add this into my routine. My only reason for not quite making 5 stars is that I find the golden formulation accentuates my pores on the top of my cheeks a little, however, this completely goes when I apply makeup on top and I only notice it up close on makeup-free days.

I minor issue that’s easily resolved by switching to the original! Victoria Beckham Beauty wins the award for most coveted packaging too, everything feels beautifully weighted and looks incredibly desirable on my dressing table! Topped off with Augustinus Bader’s patented TFC8 technology this improves the quality and health of your skin over time with minimal effort.

I am a big fan of VB cosmetics and so far it’s the only product I have been left disappointed with. The primer itself feels luxurious (it should for the price you pay) once applied to the skin but I don’t believe it’s as good as it claims to be – but then again most brands use exaggerated claims as a marketing tool.

This is a very ‘grown up’ product not your classic drying base with glitter in it. One thing that I have found disappointing is the shelf life of 6 months after opening. I have only managed to use mine a handful of times before the serum has separated and has become unusable (didn’t have the need for it as much in lockdown).

I have only had it for just over 6 months and I’m surprised it’s actually gone bad. I get the ‘recommended use’ within 6 months but for it to actually go bad just after 6 months of purchase is frustrating.

I also have the golden version that I have purchased around the same time (from another retailer) and it’s still going strong with no problems.
