Best Moisturizer For Fungal Acne (2023 Updated)

I don’t know why I was expecting more from this cream. But it did nothing for my skin. Back then I had oily acne prone skin (since then I’ve had a derm treatment for acne and it made my skin dry). It didn’t do anything for my acne and it was also not really hydrating for my skin either.

I ended up giving it to someone else.

Bought it for my girl. This moisturizer is light weight and doesn’t cause any blockage and outbreaks. Suitable for acne and oily skin. Can apply a thin layer before putting on acne patches or cream.

I have super annoying combo/dry (oily T zone) comedogenic acne-prone skin. If you have similar issues, this is a GREAT day cream, but I’d offer a few words of advice. 1. If you’re looking for something SUPER moisturizing for sensitive skin, this by itself won’t do the trick.

I’d layer with a HA serum and apply and/or be sure to apply as a step in your morning cleansing routine, whatever that may be. Without washing the face first or any base-moisture to your skin, it won’t absorb as well.

2. A little goes a long way. A few light dabs are usually enough to cover my whole face and neck. If applied correctly, you’ll be happy with it. The only thing I don’t love is the packaging, but it’s the same complaint I have with all eminence products in these containers.

The spatula thing it comes with is not the best, and if you’re like me, you’ll eventually give up on it and move to using your finger. I’m aware of this cardinal sin- I have seen the scary skincare petri dishes, but nobody’s perfect.

I personally like to use it as a penultimate step and apply it before a thick layer of Elta MD spf. If you’re waffling and you have annoying/finicky skin like mine, I say go for it!.

I used to skip moisturizer, but I finally found one that not only works, but BENEFITS and heals my skin. I use with water during the day, it goes well under makeup. At night I use before bed, without water for thicker application.

When I wake up in the am I am always surprised at how much my acne is healed and feels incredible !! — the smell isn’t for everyone. I have purchased 3x and will never go to anything else !! (be consistent with it and you will see results) I’m 26 — oily skin, with hormonal acne for reference.

I’ve been using this twice a day for about 3 years now and I love it. It smells good and a little bit goes a long way. I tend to use more of it in winter when my skin gets drier. It’s soothing and calming on my skin and makes it feel soft and healthy.

I was excited to try this product because I used to use Proactiv years ago, and had a good experience with it. The 3 step program is targeted for sensitive skin but it was anything but sensitive. The exfoliator literally dyed my gray face towel!! It has benzoyl peroxide in it and the peroxide dyed the color in the towel.

If my facial exfoliator can do that to a towel than I don’t wanna know what it’s doing to my face!! If you have dry, sensitive skin like myself AVOID this product at all costs!!!.

I use it as my night skin care routine moisturizer and when I wake up in the morning my face is soooooo soft! This moisturizer is my favorite product out of the pure skin line by elf. It’s simple, moisturizing and effective. It does it’s job and it does it well. Moisturizers are supposed to simply moisturize the skin and that’s literally it.

They cannot penetrate through the skin. They only lock in your other skincare products you use prior to moisturizing such as your serums and essences. And moisturizers form a protective shield on your skin to protect your skin barrier and protects the skin from loosing moisture and hydration by evaporation.

With that being said, this product has such a nice texture. Not too thick, but not too thin. No fragrance whatsoever and is super gentle on the skin. My skin absorbs it quickly and it feels like I have nothing on my skin, it just feels nice and plump and nourished moisturized.

Love the affordable price and it also plays very well under my makeup. Bravo to elf for this product because they’ve done an excellent job. I think anyone with oily to combo skin would really enjoy this.

I would say dry skin would benefit from this too, as along as you’re using other hydrating products like your serums before hand.

Okay so one of my biggest part of my skin care routine is the moisturizer. It is so hard for me to find a product that is good for my skin and doesn’t clog my pores and works all in one. But this right here has snagged me.

It has not broke mg skin out or clogged my pores which is huge for me. It also is so lightweight feeling and my skin just drinks this stuff up. It has helped with my dry spots/areas in my face which is a plus because usually I have a heck of a time finding stuff that helps in little time.

My skin took a hit this winter so it was nice getting this voxbox in to try out and I am glad I found this product because I absolutely will be buying this when I run out. Now I do want to give this a full month to see if my skin takes to it for good from here on.

Sometimes products had done well for me and then boom my skin goes haywire. But usually first couple uses I see things changing and like I said with this so far so good. This is super affordable, clean/vegan ingredients which is amazing especially for this cheap of a price point.

I cannot say it enough give this stuff a try. I have combination/ breakout prone skin and this hasn’t caused my skin any irritation or change.

Would give it a full 5 stars, because this stuff really does work. But the spray is so uncomfortable to breathe it makes me cough like an old woman. Actually, this product is very good. I use it on my face at night over a deeply cleansed face, some hyaluronic serum, then the Derma E thin layer. I’ve just started using Derma E about 10 days ago. Well.

In the morning I see a big difference in the feel of my skin, the pleasant plump, and the easier on the eyes wrinkles. (You older gals know what I mean). THE RESULTS ARE THERE! I like what I am seeing thus far.

As far as the smell?? I mean, come on! Look at all the natural ingredients in this product. I’m glad that Derma E formulates products for the conscientious consumer. The smell you say? Get over it!.

I was introduced to this cream when I accidentally got a very bad sunburn, borderline sun poisoning on my upper back while at the beach on vacation. I stole it from my cousin’s dobkit in a panic as I tried anything in the bathroom to help.

It was the only thing that calmed it down until I could address it with medication, and it did so nearly immediately. My cousin meanwhile used it for at the time for very acne prone skin. It impressed me enough to remember it and buy it for myself which I have again and again.

I get occasional, though relatively rare painful dermatitis flare ups behind my ears and this helps there as well. I also use it for occasional acne spots or irritation, bug bites or remnants of poison ivy patches.

Basically anything “red”: irritated, itchy, inflamed and or dry this works as a quick remedy or part of an arsenal for treatment in addition to just being a decent moisturizer. Yes tea tree oil is an acquired smell, I’m not particularly fond of the scent and it can be strong, a very herbal camphor, but it’s not the worst and this is the best vehicle for it that I’ve found.

The texture is amazing, relatively dense and creamy (the vitamin-e?) and because of that, plus the tea tree oil, means a little goes a long way so this cream lasts me a long time. I’ve been using it occasionally in a thin layer as part of my evening skincare as a regular cream moisturizer and it does a great job.

Since having to wear a mask every time I leave the house I have been having some irritation around my nose and mouth area. I decided to give this a try before making an appointment to see a dermatologist.

I have only been using it for a few weeks so this is a first impression. The cream has a thick consistency but it does absorb into my skin easily. The tee tree smell is definitely there so I only apply it at night right before going to bed.

Because of where I am applying the cream the fragrance seems to linger. It does not make it impossible to fall asleep but I can smell it until I fall asleep. I have applied it to my arm just to test the fragrance to see if I would be able to smell it and the fragrance does not seem to be as strong.

I have found that it does help with the irritation so I will continue to use it.

I bought for a mission with Smiley 360, got my Amazon gift card for buying it. I plan to buy the serum and other product that was recommended.

This moisturizer has no scent as far as I can tell. It’s a milky runny type of texture. It doesn’t melt into the skin very well. You have to rub it in good and use very little. Leaves a sticky feeling on the skin.

It kind of makes the skin feel like rubber. Like it definitely creates a barrier from the elements but I just don’t like being able to feel the product. If it melted into the skin and was lightweight it would be better.

Does it moisturize. yes. Would I buy it again. no.

Neutrogena! I want to start this review by saying I have used a few other products through you guys and they were decent too, but, I’ve only been using this specific line for a few days and already see a big difference! Especially with the moisturizer, most moisturizers claim to be light-weight when they really aren’t and end up making acne worse but this one truly is light-weight! When it dries down/absorbs into my skin I don’t feel that awful layer laying on top of my face like with other lines I’ve used.

Also, most moisturizers also cause my skin to be red after applying but this one doesn’t do that. The smell is quite nice and refreshing. The cleanser, so far, is just equally as great as the moisturizer.

The only reason I gave this review 4 stars is because for 1, I have only been using this line for a very short amount of time and for 2, I was slightly disappointed that this line didn’t come with an exfoliating scrub, exfoliating scrubs are a necessity for me and I think if you guys made one for this line it would be amazing! Other than that this is a very impressive line right off the bat, would also like to add I’m not one to leave a review hardly ever but it this stuff seriously did impress me that much!.

I tried this for the 1st time a month ago while visiting a friend in another state. And was very disappointed to see that itd been discontinued by the time I made it home & wanted it for myself. Thank goodness for eBay! Ive been using it for a few days now and I couldnt be more pleased.

The foam comes out thick and rich, making lathering my face super simple. I use a silicon face brush along with it and the results have been immaculate. My skin feels incredibly smooth & calm after cleansing.

Its also been fading my acne marks w/such ease, I barely use any other product in my beauty routine for that now. I just love it!.

The scent is really strong at first, I would say it’s a manly smell almost like a cologne. It does wear off though after a few seconds and dries down without lingering. When I first used this with the corresponding foaming cleanser, I didn’t see a difference at all.

now I use it with other products and find it out works much better at keeping acne and pimples to a minimum. I love that it sprays like a fine mist. This has lasted me months and months, def would repurchase it again when I do run out, I’m about half way through the bottle now.

I am blown away by the results! I do realize that each skin type is different, and what works for one, may not work for another. For me, luckily it works! I have oily skin with frequent breakouts. I have tried soooo many different treatment and regimes for my skin including retinoids, dermabrasion, peels and so on.

Nothing worked except for accutane, which I wasn’t going to take again. I had TONS of pimples (maybe 10-20 at any given time) when I started this moisturizer in November. It’s now February, and my skin has cleared by 90%!!! I only have like 1-2 dried pimples now that’ll fade in the next few days, and no new forming! My skin has a more even color, and when I wake up in the morning – it’s glowing! The texture smoothed out too! I’m so happy! I now ordered another bottle of this magic elixir and a cleanser too.

This moisturiser is life-changing. I have had oily, blemish-prone skin since 13 and am now in my 30s, and I have always been told to steer clear of products with oils in them. This, however, smells amazing; feels amazing; and generates really quick results.

It doesn’t feel heavy and it actually helps to regulate my oil production throughout the day, whereas oil-free moisturisers seem to make me oilier as my skin goes in to overdrive to compensate. I haven’t had a raised or angry blemish since using this, and will never be without it.

I freaking love this moisturizer. It’s quite expensive, but I’m glad I purchased it and I have no regrets. It feels so nice putting on and I feel so good after I use it. I feel like I’m doing something really good for my skin.

If it helps, I have pretty bad hormonal acne and I’ve had it for years. I read in the reviews that it’s helped people with their hormonal acne. Everyone’s different. For me, it hasn’t been an over-night magical transformation and that’s okay.

This product along with the rest of the Tata Harper products have absolutely the most stellar list of ingredients. It’s an incredible list and I’ve honestly never seen anything like it. I’m pretty addicted to skincare and spend most my free time looking at skincare products and reading their ingredients.

I have what I believe is a better idea of how to understand most ingredients and their purpose. This moisturizer along with the rest of the products made by this company are an incredible find for me, and I’m so happy to finally own this.

If I could, I’d strictly use only Tata Harper products in my routine. The only thing preventing me from making that happen is a lack of funds, but if you have enough disposable income and decide to pursue one of her products I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Im gonna start off with saying i have struggled with oily skin my whole life and i couldn’t find any moisturizer that could help balance it out. One of my friends that has also struggled with this same issue told me about it and i was hesitant at first but decided to give it a try anyways.

Literally the day i used it my face felt amazing, it was just the right amount of oily but not to oily. It absorbed the majority of it and i was shocked at how well it worked. I will continue to use this forever.

I like this product more than I thought I would. After my best friend got on to me for not wearing a facial sunscreen, I searched high and low for a sunscreen moisturizer that wouldn’t make my skin oily.

Cetaphil somehow managed it! It absolutely controls oil throughout the day and I rest easy knowing I have some SPF protection on my face. Note: this does have a slight sunscreen smell to it. Nothing that lingers and it’s not overpowering, but when I apply it, I definitely smell the SPF.

Personally, it doesn’t bother me which is why this moisturizer didn’t lose any stars. I feel like this is a great little bottle for a good price.

smells like tootyfruity ! need i say more?! this is honestly my go to face wash during the winter. its fresh and bright but not drying. it leaves me with a glow and a smooth complexion! IMO my acne isn’t bugging’ or red or irritated after i use it.

I went into the store looking for another brand of face wash and had this recommended by an employee. I was changing brands anyway and it was the same price as what I was planning on buying so I took a chance on it, fully expecting to love it.

The first time I used it, it did make a positive difference! My skin looked brighter and cleaner. The cleanser smells great and I like how it felt while I was using it. The next 2 days I only used it once a day and I did notice that my face felt a little tighter and more dry but didn’t think much because my skin has a hard time with new products.

After 2 days, I noticed I was starting to break out on my chin, cheeks, and forehead. I deal with some cystic hormonal breakouts on my chin around this time every month but these new breakout locations and in my normal places were not cystic but big white heads emerging- I have not dealt with this many in years.

The only conclusion I could come to was that it was caused by this cleanser. I wanted to love it and I can see how it works so well for some, sadly this just wasn’t meant for me to love. To anyone who is debating on buying this- don’t let the bad reviews sway your decision.

I love the moisturizer. Great for acne prone skin, dried out from acne treatments. Replenishes moisture. However, I wish they would improve their containers. The plastic is too rigid to squeeze out the moisturizer, even when there is a lot left.

I have to cut open the bottle to get to the moisturizer but then it just dries out more quickly. Such a waste of product. I’ve been using it for years, but I’m thinking of switching because of this issue.

Used this for over a year alongside a subscription skin treatment and it’s great! My skin IMMEDIATELY feels hydrated and soft, and it also makes a great moisturised base for make up. Most importantly, it feels ‘clean’, it’s not too heavy, and it is helping control my acne.

I bought this product from Amazon. It had good reviews and I was looking for something that would calm my skin while providing moisture and aid my acne. You only need a little product at a time so it lasts a long time.

It had a strong sent that I didn’t care for. The texture felt too much like a film for me as well. So it actually did the opposite of what I wanted. I found it very drying yet occlusive and I ended up getting more pimples while using it.

It did however work okay as a spot treatment on my body when I broke out from an allergic reaction to something else.

The only thing I don’t love about it is that it doesn’t have the greatest scent, in fact it’s almost scentless but I enjoy when creams smell nice. Overall, amazing product for oily skin! Highly recommend.

I received a sample size of this skin cream. I absolutely love it. Makes my skin feel great. I wore it under makeup and my makeup looked better. I would love to try it further so I’m going to buy a tube.
