We had purchased the Hacks for Minecrafers Paperback for our granddaughter. She was so thrilled when she seen what it was we had gotten her. She is very clever and skilled with the layout in Minecraft.
However, she did learn some interesting facets throughout the setup with her new book in hand.
My 8 yr old son was very excited to get this book, and it was easy enough for him to read and understand. Only problem is within hours the pages started to fall out of the book. I went and exchanged the book for another and the same thing happened again.
Very disappointing, especially since my son loves the information within the book.

I bought this think it would do something… and it didn’t. I plugged it into my controller and it lights up but I try to use the mods on it and they didn’t do anything. I read the manual and watched YouTube yet I could not get the mods to work.
In addition to that, I can’t even use my headset because it’s wired and wired headsets don’t work on this. The software was horrible and I couldn’t even download anything because “no strike pack was connected” even though it was literally lighted up on the back.
what you have to do, to get it to work if you have a USB headset, is a little much! (unplug your USB headset before you turn on your console, turn your console on first, then choose your profile, then plug the strikepack in, then chose your profile again, then plug your headset in, then choose your profile again) – lol like come on! mine doesn’t fit my gold stranded PS4 controller well, the bottom support wraps-around, sits right on the PS button, it even pressed it twice so far in 2 hours, it has completely fallen off once when I went to rest it on my bed, and the wire is so heavy it pulled it right to the floor.
half the time I look down the little strap, in the front, meant to help secure the unit, is just hanging down. the paddles are so bulky they rest on 1 and a half of my finger (middle and ring finger) making it VERY uncomfortable and awkward ( 100% not spending another 25 CND to get the replacements, when that’s what they should be shipped with) the unit, plus wire it’s self are heavy enough to make it uncomfortable and awkward, and it doesn’t fit any controller I have well enough to even feel like it’s even on there well enough, always seems like it’s gonna fall off from any movement.
I was looking for a cheaper paddled controller option, but this was a HUGE miss for me, the button were nice and responsive tho, probably the only GOOD thing I would say about it. only mod I tried was the Hair Trigger, cause it would be no different than Battle Beaver, or Scuf.
The Strick Pack allows for you to have paddles on the back of your controller for a fraction of the price of the alternatives. It has extremely easy to use on-the-fly mapping of the paddles and a bunch of other mods that you can take advantage of if you so choose.
The paddles feel great and have a nice clicky feel to them. They are held on magnets, but I’ve had no issues so far with them coming off during use. It also allows the paddles to be easily removed if you wanted to do this for any reason.
The only downside is that it is wired, although this is only a small drawback considering that it is about a third of the price of a Scuf controller. I’d recommend giving this a try if you’re on the fence between this and a Scuf-type controller.
I was in the same position but I’m convinced that this is the best solution at what is essentially a price that none of the alternative options can compete with.

As someone who’s never played minecraft I can honestly say I enjoyed this game. I purchased it because I’m a fan of anything Telltale releases. They aren’t always winners, but this one plenty of fun.
I would guess it’s even more enjoyable for fans of minecraft who would understand all the references and storylines that i wasn’t familiar with. And it is looooong. You get your money’s worth in gameplay time alone.
Amazing game for Minecraft lovers of all ages. Bought for my 6 year old but we have all been hooked on the story. Nice long game and I can already see it has lots of replay-ability so well worth the money.

My 8-year-old was begging for this video game and received it as a gift. He loves watching the different chapters, but I’m a bit disappointed in the character’s dialogue. They talk as you would expect a group of teenagers would (no real bad language, but definitely attitudes and some name calling) and for this reason I ‘m not thrilled my son is loving it so much.
So if your child has tendencies to pick up on not-so-desirable talk, stick with the original Minecraft game. The characters go on an adventure to stop a Storm (a huge monster). At different turning points of the story, the player determines what choice the character will make.
This reminds me of the Choose Your Own Adventure chapter books I loved in elementary school and for that, I think this game is unique and enjoyable for kids 10 and up.

Cons: -Since the Telltale servers went down, you’ll only have access to EP1, the 4 others will say “Purchased, not installed” and you won’t be able to download the rest legitimately. -The “Choices” tab in “Extras” won’t ever unlock, also as a result of the servers being down.
The game was inside the wrap that it gets in the places that make it and the game did not disappoint. It was just like the first game and nothing was wrong. It worked perfectly and I would buy again.
My 12-yr old son has been waiting for this. He really enjoyed playing it. However, he ended at episode 5 and is hoping there will be at least 8 episodes like the 1st game. Lets hope so.

You would think kids wouldn’t really enjoy this but mine all three ages 4,5, and 7 all love this I have to buy the rest of the characters. They all thought the Minecraft character Steve was so adorable with his big head and for some reason thought it was hilarious his body could be stored inside of his head.
They love this little guy though and apart of their play frequently and has even been on car rides. These Mob head minis are so cute and fit perfectly in little hands. They can be displayed or played with and so far can hold up to the play! And I literally have to buy the rest because my kids won’t stop asking!.
These are cute toys, but in my opinion they are too small & will get lost. My 6 year old son really liked that the character comes apart & you can stick the legs inside to make it just a cube. He had a hard time keeping track of it though throughout the day of playing, which is why I say they could be a bit bigger in size.
The character came in a black plastic blind bag inside of a square outer box. The outer box is flimsy & easy to tear into. My son was also able to get into the plastic bag himself. He usually has trouble opening things like this.
My son loves this! He built the little character and is taking it all over the house with him. He took it with him to go play the Minecraft game and has it sitting next to him as he’s playing. It has been a fun little toy.

3 items inside the packaging; the Zombified Piglin, a sword, and a portal block. The Piglins joints are all movable and great for playing/posing. The Piglins hand is notched in the sane pattern the sword is made, making the sword fit into the piglins hand perfectly.
It also comes with a portal block (1 of 6 needed to complete the portal). Theres little use of the block without collecting the entire set, making this feel like a collectors series. All in all great movement from the piglin still makes this a great toy.
My 5 year old son squealed with excitement when I pulled this toy out of the bag. He loves Minecraft, which I feel is a wholesome hobby. The piggy is SO adorable plus durable. I’ve stepped on the poor thing, and it didn’t break.
The limbs are articulating but haven’t snapped off. I cannot stress enough how big of a deal that is with my rambunctious 5 and 7 year old sons. Another bonus is the sword it comes with snaps into the hand, so it hasn’t been lost *yet.

I decided to wait a day to post my review of this toy. I wanted to see how much my child was going to interact with this Minecraft Zombie portal figure. So far she has not put it down. She has played two hours straight with it and incorporated it in with her other action figures.
The head and arms extend and can go back in place. The sword can be swapped between hands. I’m impressed with how close it looks to the game. This is definitely a winner with my child.
